- 0:14Speaker 1: Welcome back to I Do Part two.
- 0:15Speaker 2: It's your celebrity mentors Kelly, Ben Simone and Jennifer Wessler.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And today we are in Los Angeles or jingle Ball with.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Our fair bachelors Serena and Joe. You guys, let's get
- 0:28Speaker 2: started talking everything jingle Ball.
- 0:31Speaker 1: What do you think of Jen? What do we create?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Joe?
- 0:33Speaker 4: That's not just your name, you have something else attached
- 0:36Speaker 4: to that.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Name.
- 0:39Speaker 6: Mobli grocery store, Joe grocery store, Joe, thank you very much,
- 0:51Speaker 6: very much, a grocery store, rocery store, I have a nickname.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Can you help us out and tell us? I feel
- 0:57Speaker 4: like you'll have a good one. Your best pickup line.
- 1:00Speaker 7: I mean something about me is I got eliminated from
- 1:03Speaker 7: the Beats or Night one because.
- 1:04Speaker 8: I didn't have a pickup.
- 1:06Speaker 7: I would say my best pickup line that I used
- 1:09Speaker 7: to use was probably just high and just like make
- 1:12Speaker 7: eye contact and smile.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, that was mine.
- 1:14Speaker 8: Yeah. I would be like, Hi, yeah, that's why we
- 1:17Speaker 8: that's why we worked out well.
- 1:19Speaker 3: So I think maybe because you have that smile that
- 1:22Speaker 3: was for you.
- 1:25Speaker 1: After the high and the smile, what's the follow up?
- 1:28Speaker 9: Usually I like it when they're like ordering a drink,
- 1:30Speaker 9: and I would be like hi, and then they'd be
- 1:32Speaker 9: like Hi.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'd be like, what are you ordering?
- 1:33Speaker 10: And then I'd be like, do you want to order
- 1:35Speaker 10: me one?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Too?
- 1:36Speaker 8: I would say Hi, do you want to drink?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:38Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 1:39Speaker 11: It's easy.
- 1:39Speaker 10: You say hi, like what are you ordering?
- 1:42Speaker 9: And then they say and then you Usually they'll be
- 1:44Speaker 9: like do you want one? I'll be like yeah, I do,
- 1:45Speaker 9: or I'll be like do you want.
- 1:46Speaker 1: To order me one?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Too?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Perfect. I love that flirt.
- 1:51Speaker 9: It's more about flirting is more about like energy and
- 1:53Speaker 9: eye contact than it is what you're actually saying.
- 1:56Speaker 8: What you're saying. Actually, I don't think even matters.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I mean.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Cheesy, if you have a cheesy pickup line, I don't know.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I like your style, both of you. I like Hi,
- 2:08Speaker 3: my name is. I don't like, uh, I don't know whatever.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Cheesy pickup line. I don't think it worked.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I took Lo Angel's advice one time to put my
- 2:17Speaker 2: number on my on a on a piece of paper
- 2:21Speaker 2: and give it to a guy and he happened to
- 2:22Speaker 2: also be on love Hotel and one of her you know,
- 2:26Speaker 2: perspective love interests.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, yeah, no, no, no, we're not
- 2:30Speaker 1: doing this anymore.
- 2:31Speaker 9: No, no, no, no, we are not about this because you're like,
- 2:34Speaker 9: I don't really know who I'm giving my number two.
- 2:36Speaker 10: I feel like you got to have a little chit
- 2:37Speaker 10: chat first.
- 2:38Speaker 7: I also think it depends on who's asking it, Like
- 2:40Speaker 7: I think if Brad Pitt delivers a cheesy line, it's
- 2:43Speaker 7: still gonna work.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Disagree, Well, probably because I always like Kelly and I
- 2:53Speaker 3: actually both. I always went for the chubby boy. He
- 3:00Speaker 3: was already in points against him. I'm sure he would
- 3:02Speaker 3: have been crushed.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Okay, how about you guys' best flirty move?
- 3:08Speaker 10: Flirty move?
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:09Speaker 9: I think just like a little like a little hand
- 3:12Speaker 9: brush on the shoulder, like a little brush on the
- 3:14Speaker 9: thigh is cute, like a quick touch.
- 3:16Speaker 12: Yeah, not be brushing anyone on the thigh, I would say,
- 3:24Speaker 12: yeah again, I would probably go just like across the room,
- 3:28Speaker 12: eye contact, smile.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Joe.
- 3:30Speaker 2: What about when a girl like touches her hair because
- 3:33Speaker 2: people will always say that, like when when a female
- 3:35Speaker 2: touches her hair like a male is.
- 3:37Speaker 9: Like oh, or I saw when a girl like takes
- 3:40Speaker 9: her hair down, like if it's up and they take
- 3:42Speaker 9: it down.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I wish I had known that way back in
- 3:45Speaker 4: the day.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, take your hair down.
- 3:47Speaker 8: I would notice that.
- 3:47Speaker 7: But also if I'm not getting any eye contact, that's
- 3:51Speaker 7: also that's a sign of like, no.
- 3:54Speaker 1: She's just supposed her. Why is she doing that?
- 3:55Speaker 7: Well, she's just like, yeah, she's not acknowledging me because
- 3:58Speaker 7: she's like, why is this weird guy's there at me?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so it's touch touch them, put your fiddle.
- 4:05Speaker 10: With your hair, your down, eye contacts.
- 4:07Speaker 8: Smile, got no touch at the beginning.
- 4:10Speaker 10: Don't touch the guy, or yeah the girl can do
- 4:17Speaker 10: a little touch.
- 4:18Speaker 9: I think the guy should keep his hands to himself
- 4:19Speaker 9: a little for longer.
- 4:21Speaker 8: Yeah, welcome until you can touch me.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I love that.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Okay, what about the best first date could be an
- 4:28Speaker 2: actual one that you had, or just like a location
- 4:31Speaker 2: you think is great.
- 4:32Speaker 9: I think I've only been on like one or two
- 4:34Speaker 9: first dates ever.
- 4:35Speaker 10: If I'm being honest, I was not really a dater.
- 4:38Speaker 9: But I think I think just like drinks, drinks is
- 4:40Speaker 9: great on a first day, especially you don't know the person,
- 4:42Speaker 9: because it's like you can extend, you can go to
- 4:44Speaker 9: another bar, you can be like, oh, I'm hungry, let's
- 4:46Speaker 9: go grab dinner, or you can be like nice to
- 4:48Speaker 9: meet This was like a nice like one hour.
- 4:49Speaker 3: High totally let's call it, say like go for coffee,
- 4:53Speaker 3: or you never commit to dinner.
- 4:55Speaker 4: You never commit.
- 4:56Speaker 8: I want to be locked into.
- 4:57Speaker 10: A dinner and then you're eating with someone you don't like.
- 5:00Speaker 10: And that's the whole other thing.
- 5:02Speaker 9: I also used to like having like a plan, like
- 5:05Speaker 9: when I would have go on a first day to
- 5:06Speaker 9: be like, oh, I'm supposed to meet my friend at like.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Eight or meet the person yeah, just so they know.
- 5:13Speaker 9: So that if it's not going well, it's like, oh,
- 5:14Speaker 9: you know, as I told you, like I have to go.
- 5:16Speaker 9: But if it's going great, you could be like, you
- 5:17Speaker 9: know what, my friend just bailed, Like let's go do
- 5:19Speaker 9: something else together.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So this guy, actually my favorite first day is this
- 5:23Speaker 2: guy that I'm dating. He invited me to his house
- 5:26Speaker 2: far away from where I live, which is something I
- 5:28Speaker 2: would never do. I would never go anywhere for anyone.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm like, I am not traveling, I will meet you
- 5:34Speaker 2: across the street.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But so I went on a train to go see him.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That was my first date.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And by the way, six months later.
- 5:42Speaker 9: We are no way had you met him before, did
- 5:45Speaker 9: you have a sign that it was going to go?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Really, we talked and I knew we knew people, and
- 5:48Speaker 2: we were like talking for like a month and then
- 5:50Speaker 2: I went to go meet him.
- 5:51Speaker 10: Okay, so there's already a little investment before you.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Like, I'm literally like all my dates were literally across
- 5:56Speaker 2: the street from my apartment.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I just if you and I were close, then
- 6:00Speaker 3: we got closed very well, right, I would not allow that.
- 6:04Speaker 4: No, listen, what do I know here?
- 6:05Speaker 9: You are words when you break your dating roles is when.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yes, Yeah, I just was like should I should I
- 6:14Speaker 1: not that. I was like, I'm not going to go.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I'm not going to go. I'm the queen of like
- 6:16Speaker 1: making plans and canceling. Yeah, and yeah I went. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: love that. I love that it worked out. Yeah. So
- 6:23Speaker 1: you can travel if you want, but I wouldn't suggest it.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Yeah, or you can always just go on the Bachelor
- 6:28Speaker 3: or meet the man or woman of your dreams.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a bit of travel, right, But I do
- 6:35Speaker 1: like the idea.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I do like theda of like having a plan and
- 6:37Speaker 2: maybe like at the beginning of the date saying listen,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know, I just I'm so happy.
- 6:41Speaker 1: To meet you.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I have something afterwards, even if you like the person,
- 6:44Speaker 2: I think it's always good to like just be able
- 6:46Speaker 2: to like meet them, digest it and then move on
- 6:49Speaker 2: versus just kind of like.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I used to be the director of something called. You
- 6:53Speaker 3: all will probably not well telling me it's called It's
- 6:55Speaker 3: Just Lunch, and it was a national dating service and
- 6:58Speaker 3: it's just lunch, meaning it's only lunch.
- 7:01Speaker 4: We're going to set you up for lunches for.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Professionals, busy professionals, and then we'll see what happens.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:09Speaker 10: How do you feel about day dates though?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Do you guys like you like a day day?
- 7:12Speaker 4: I haven't had one.
- 7:13Speaker 8: I'm pro a day date.
- 7:16Speaker 3: That's cool, you guys, this was fun meet you jingle
- 7:18Speaker 3: balla jingle on.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we're with my favorite goal Kathy and season.
- 7:38Speaker 1: How are you guys. It's so good to see, so
- 7:40Speaker 1: much to talk about. We're excited about tonight, my god.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yes, and your earlier our friend Joan our the favorite
- 7:50Speaker 3: Golden saying that she doesn't know any of the.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Performers and I'll double that, and I'll triple that, and
- 7:54Speaker 1: yes you do, grandchild.
- 7:59Speaker 13: Little little girls, and I know the music that's.
- 8:04Speaker 1: A I know this, but we don't exactly.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Well, listen, ladies, we need you to give us some
- 8:11Speaker 3: good advice for our listeners. In terms of dating. It's
- 8:15Speaker 3: cuffing season. We want to talk about how you get
- 8:19Speaker 3: your flirt on. So, ladies, give me either your best
- 8:23Speaker 3: pickup line or the best pickup line that a guy's
- 8:26Speaker 3: ever used on you.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I use eyes.
- 8:28Speaker 13: It's always you look somebody right in the.
- 8:32Speaker 10: Eyes.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I love your eyes.
- 8:34Speaker 5: I was like wow when I so, I'm trying to
- 8:38Speaker 5: learn to get my feminine expression and I've heard that's
- 8:41Speaker 5: the way to catch a guy.
- 8:43Speaker 1: What does that mean? What does that mean? Well that
- 8:44Speaker 1: I've been told it's you know, basically, look like you're helpless.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Really, I know people are saying, Kathy, youre too You're
- 8:53Speaker 5: too you can do it all yourself, you're too independent.
- 8:55Speaker 4: This is a whole other podcast that we have to But.
- 8:58Speaker 5: When I need a guy, I'm just telling you, when
- 9:00Speaker 5: I meet a guy, I smile and look him in
- 9:03Speaker 5: the eye, and you know there's either connection or there isn't.
- 9:06Speaker 5: But everyone says, Kathy, you come across like you don't
- 9:08Speaker 5: need a guy, and men need to feel needed, So
- 9:11Speaker 5: you need to make him feel needed.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I'm like, like, what open the door for me? Like, well,
- 9:15Speaker 1: I don't.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I do subscribe to the idea. I like when a
- 9:19Speaker 3: man is the first to make the move. Yes, so
- 9:23Speaker 3: that's just my I don't reach out first.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I reature on a dating app.
- 9:26Speaker 13: Have any of you ever asked the man out?
- 9:28Speaker 1: No?
- 9:29Speaker 3: No?
- 9:29Speaker 2: Never?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Never? Have you?
- 9:30Speaker 13: Yep?
- 9:31Speaker 1: And wait, would you say she's single?
- 9:33Speaker 3: No?
- 9:35Speaker 1: No? I need to hear the actual So uncomfortable.
- 9:38Speaker 13: I think it was more of a dare that somebody
- 9:41Speaker 13: dared me to, and.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I feel like, will you go out with me?
- 9:44Speaker 14: Would you like to get together? Sometimes over text, her call,
- 9:48Speaker 14: face to face? In person, I was beat red as
- 9:52Speaker 14: loud and outspoken as I am. There's a different size,
- 9:55Speaker 14: you know, feel very intimidating, vulnerable. What the hell if
- 9:58Speaker 14: he says no?
- 10:00Speaker 1: Why would you? People were watching?
- 10:03Speaker 13: I did?
- 10:04Speaker 1: When gives you power?
- 10:05Speaker 4: Amen?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Sister? So you asked him and he said yes, guess
- 10:09Speaker 1: what he said?
- 10:10Speaker 13: What I absolutely would. However, I'm married.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Do you mind? Yes?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I mind?
- 10:17Speaker 1: That's not going Thank.
- 10:18Speaker 2: You was nice about it exactly, and I love that
- 10:23Speaker 2: he said yes at first?
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, what about you guys? Your best flirty move? Like
- 10:32Speaker 3: it's not it's gonna be.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It's gonna be. From our last.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Guest, Serena, Yeah, Serena said it's like definitely, and Kelly
- 10:40Speaker 3: said playing with her hair.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Your hair kind of looking up shoulders and.
- 10:48Speaker 4: To jump in here.
- 10:49Speaker 15: Nobody's ever sent a drink over to a man.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Never I have.
- 10:54Speaker 5: I have never said a flirty move.
- 10:57Speaker 14: That is a flirty mord They just said thank you,
- 11:01Speaker 14: and I say thank you. When somebody said it was like, no,
- 11:07Speaker 14: if you were just gonna sound would you sound like.
- 11:08Speaker 13: Just they turned the shot class.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I had a man buying an enjoy that movie, which
- 11:17Speaker 5: I have had a man buy me a drink before.
- 11:19Speaker 5: But when I was with a couple of women and
- 11:21Speaker 5: he and he sent drinks over to the table and
- 11:24Speaker 5: then he kind of came over and chatted.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I think that's hot. I've met a man buying me
- 11:27Speaker 4: lunch before.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Like I was sitting at Houston at the bar with
- 11:31Speaker 3: a girlfriend and actually bought both of us lunch.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I saw Hi kind of staring at me across the way,
- 11:36Speaker 4: and I thought that was hot.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Anybody was move I mean, I think the Flordy move
- 11:41Speaker 3: was just that eye contact with you, lock guy.
- 11:44Speaker 1: That's Key.
- 11:44Speaker 14: But how about buying somebody a couple of coffee in
- 11:46Speaker 14: the car behind you.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I like it too, buying somewhere a coffee. But then
- 11:54Speaker 1: you pull over and get into the car.
- 11:57Speaker 2: If there's a connection that is a great falling, you
- 12:00Speaker 2: could do that too. You could be like, hey, I'm
- 12:02Speaker 2: see here's the thing. When you're in a drive through line,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I have to get out of the car.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Looked ways. It's a woman with her two.
- 12:16Speaker 13: There's a comple and it's like, wow, the attraction.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I feel the same.
- 12:26Speaker 5: I want the guy to make the first move. Then
- 12:29Speaker 5: then I'll put on the flirty moves. I'll buy him
- 12:32Speaker 5: a drink, I'll do all those things. But I want
- 12:34Speaker 5: the guy to show in key.
- 12:36Speaker 14: How many times have we both been told? Men say
- 12:40Speaker 14: they want an independent however they don't.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They don't. I don't think that.
- 12:45Speaker 3: They don't want an independent woman. I just think in
- 12:48Speaker 3: terms of like meeting the first time. I I think
- 12:52Speaker 3: that that's sort of I don't know, it could be
- 12:56Speaker 3: independent and yes, like what I'm saying is it's okay
- 13:00Speaker 3: to be who you are. I don't think that you,
- 13:02Speaker 3: you and you all are to women. But I think
- 13:05Speaker 3: in terms of like meeting that first time. There's this book,
- 13:09Speaker 3: the Rule.
- 13:11Speaker 1: When I meet someone for the first time, The Rules.
- 13:14Speaker 1: The Rules. A book is a book.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It just kind of gives you, like an outline of
- 13:18Speaker 2: like how to date.
- 13:19Speaker 4: It's really interesting. It is about this, about letting him, letting.
- 13:25Speaker 5: When I've gone out with the guy on a first date,
- 13:27Speaker 5: i am, believe it or not, I will ask a
- 13:30Speaker 5: lot of questions.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I think it's great because I.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Want because I do them, I want them to know
- 13:36Speaker 5: that I'm interested in them. However, if they do not
- 13:40Speaker 5: turn around and ask me questions, that is a red
- 13:43Speaker 5: flag for me.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And I've had that happen too.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Sometimes it's their nerves.
- 13:48Speaker 14: Sometimes they're nervous, you know, but they really shouldn't talk
- 13:52Speaker 14: all about themselves.
- 13:54Speaker 13: They should be interested in something.
- 13:55Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying.
- 13:57Speaker 5: That to me has always been a red flag, and
- 13:59Speaker 5: I'm never been wrong yet. When I've gone out with
- 14:01Speaker 5: a guy and he'll ask me a lot of questions
- 14:04Speaker 5: about myself, but.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Then I'm like, no, he's interesting, he's interested.
- 14:07Speaker 5: But I've gone up with guys that I'll say, so,
- 14:10Speaker 5: you know, tell me about yourself.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I think you don't think that's great.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I think it's almost like a job in re you know,
- 14:14Speaker 3: they tell you to make the interview are comfortable. Your
- 14:17Speaker 3: job is to make that. So I feel like that's
- 14:19Speaker 3: you're making him already feel comfortable with you.
- 14:21Speaker 2: But do you feel that because you've been you know,
- 14:25Speaker 2: you've been on a Bachelor, do you feel like that
- 14:28Speaker 2: guy see you in a different way and they're asking
- 14:30Speaker 2: you questions because you've been on it?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Because that's how I felt. I was like, why are
- 14:33Speaker 1: you interviewing me about what I did?
- 14:38Speaker 5: I feel like when sometimes when guys I've had a
- 14:41Speaker 5: couple of guys recently talk to me and and theoretically
- 14:45Speaker 5: they're gonna ask me out, and then they let it
- 14:47Speaker 5: slip that they know I was on the Bachelor, And
- 14:50Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, so you're not really interested in Kathy
- 14:53Speaker 5: per Se.
- 14:54Speaker 1: You're more interested in the persona that was on. That's
- 14:58Speaker 1: the way they are interested when they tell me.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Then they say, well, I know you did this, this
- 15:03Speaker 5: and this day about my children.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Or my you know, and I totally agree about the show.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I feel like when they start asking questions like I
- 15:11Speaker 2: feel like there's like, you know, how many kids do
- 15:13Speaker 2: you have? Like what you know those kind of real questions.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But when they start saying like, so right did you
- 15:19Speaker 2: Oh you guys went to back to wherever?
- 15:21Speaker 1: It was, like what happened there?
- 15:23Speaker 2: I feel like when they're asking questions, it's like it's
- 15:25Speaker 2: like me saying like, so, how is your business meeting exactly?
- 15:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 15:28Speaker 1: And you know I ate you up and unfound five
- 15:31Speaker 1: hundred years, you've never.
- 15:32Speaker 14: Someone told me one time.
- 15:33Speaker 13: And I think it's a great opening for this. What
- 15:37Speaker 13: is it you want me to know about you?
- 15:39Speaker 16: Oh?
- 15:40Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm trying, as you just said, I help answer that.
- 15:44Speaker 11: What do you want to too loaded? I think on
- 15:46Speaker 11: a first day that is too loaded a question? That's
- 15:49Speaker 11: that really does seem like a job interview to me.
- 15:52Speaker 11: When I go on a date, my goal is always
- 15:56Speaker 11: to make the guy feel comfortable and want to see
- 15:59Speaker 11: me for a second day.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I don't sit there.
- 16:02Speaker 2: You know It's interesting, is what you just said. Wait,
- 16:04Speaker 2: and I'm not telling you how to date, but you
- 16:06Speaker 2: just said that people have been saying to you that
- 16:10Speaker 2: you're not giving, you're not emoting your feminine side, right,
- 16:14Speaker 2: And you just said that you want them to feel comfortable.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So they're going to ask you on the date like
- 16:19Speaker 2: controlling it. I flirt with those amazing eyes and just
- 16:24Speaker 2: have fun and let them want to be with you,
- 16:29Speaker 2: versus like you saying I want to control this date
- 16:32Speaker 2: because I.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Can also really get them do.
- 16:33Speaker 3: It really being sincerely interested, like well, I love talking
- 16:38Speaker 3: to people, but I want to talk about.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Us left a podcast.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yes, right, because you're interested, I will.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Say, I very much feel. I'm from New England. I'm
- 16:51Speaker 5: from outside of Boston. I am a Yankee. I'm a
- 16:54Speaker 5: New England girl. We speak, our minds were more direct.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I live in Texas and that is a hard because
- 17:01Speaker 5: I'm not a blessed your little heart kind of girl.
- 17:03Speaker 5: And I really think culturally regionally there are differences. So
- 17:07Speaker 5: when I go back to the Northeast, I think that's
- 17:11Speaker 5: an easier place today because people are more open.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Think those cowboys would be very drawn to you.
- 17:20Speaker 4: I'm from Houston myself.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Anyway, Wait, Susan, tell me your best first date.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I remember mine.
- 17:32Speaker 13: It was recent. It was a year ago. Best first date,
- 17:36Speaker 13: Oh the Bachelor.
- 17:37Speaker 1: We went no the guy she's St.
- 17:41Speaker 14: Martin and we went salsa dancing and he could dance,
- 17:44Speaker 14: and I know I could.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He's from Saint Martin. He's French. Hell yeah, that was.
- 17:51Speaker 13: The best day.
- 17:53Speaker 14: I mean I was dripping wet with swell love it
- 17:56Speaker 14: because it was.
- 17:58Speaker 13: Hot, it's humid, and we danced for hours.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So you guys met I just went to start dancing.
- 18:03Speaker 13: Well we met?
- 18:05Speaker 1: How did you?
- 18:06Speaker 13: And Kathy almost didn't let me go on that date?
- 18:09Speaker 1: And have I ranged her in a bar and place
- 18:14Speaker 1: here we gone?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Well, you guys, you met him on a dating app
- 18:19Speaker 2: while you in St. Martin.
- 18:21Speaker 14: Okay, yeah, Kathy and I were on a vacation for
- 18:23Speaker 14: a couple of weeks and I had an espresso.
- 18:26Speaker 13: Martine couldn't go to sleep.
- 18:28Speaker 14: We did our face wash and the night she goes up,
- 18:31Speaker 14: I'm laying in bed playing games on my eye.
- 18:33Speaker 13: Patti can come to sleep.
- 18:35Speaker 8: Let me.
- 18:37Speaker 1: She goes.
- 18:40Speaker 14: Sorry.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I said, don't do this and not doing that. Don't
- 18:43Speaker 1: follow our advice.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Here doesn't speak French. I have to introduce them in French.
- 18:49Speaker 5: I'll translate. Don't worry, just send it to me. I
- 18:52Speaker 5: will send you some amazing things to say to her
- 18:54Speaker 5: man in French.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I'm going to moor all right, I got it.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I'll text you you guys, thank you, thank you.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Let's do it again.
- 19:03Speaker 13: We have a lot more thanks for having us.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, m.
- 19:16Speaker 1: All right, you guys.
- 19:17Speaker 3: So we are here with the most beautiful couple that
- 19:19Speaker 3: ever came out of The Bachelor, Katie and.
- 19:21Speaker 17: Zach doing well?
- 19:25Speaker 1: How are you guys doing it?
- 19:28Speaker 4: Is?
- 19:28Speaker 1: It can be bad?
- 19:30Speaker 16: I'm super excited. This is my first time going to it.
- 19:32Speaker 16: Actually I'm excited.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I mean too bad you guys are together.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Because there's a lot of fun guys and girls at
- 19:40Speaker 2: this event.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I mean, it's definitely a lot of fun.
- 19:43Speaker 17: So single, if you're a single person, if.
- 19:46Speaker 2: You're single and ready to jingle, okay, because look at
- 19:54Speaker 2: this couple.
- 19:55Speaker 3: All right. Anyway, guys, we're going to talk a little
- 19:58Speaker 3: bit about dating and apparently it's something called cuffing season.
- 20:03Speaker 17: Do you know what that is, Zach, I have learned
- 20:04Speaker 17: about that. It's when you decide to settle down. I
- 20:07Speaker 17: think I want Yes, I want to be with this person.
- 20:13Speaker 15: Yes, situation Sorry, producer, how they're jumping in here. Cuffing
- 20:19Speaker 15: season is the time of year, the colder months, when
- 20:23Speaker 15: people tend to partner up so that they have somebody
- 20:26Speaker 15: to go through the holidays.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Wow, it's kind of like a situationship.
- 20:30Speaker 15: It's kind of like your new boyfriend and new girlfriend.
- 20:33Speaker 15: It could be a situationship. But cuffing season is usually
- 20:36Speaker 15: between Thanksgiving and then it tends to end right before
- 20:41Speaker 15: Valentine's Day for a lot of people.
- 20:43Speaker 2: They I don't know anything, all right, right, yeah, let's
- 20:47Speaker 2: get cuffed, Let's get cut all right, let's get cuffed.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I love that.
- 20:50Speaker 3: For instance, in terms of flirting, what's your or what
- 20:52Speaker 3: was your best pickup line?
- 20:54Speaker 16: Or when you've actually I don't think Zach ever used
- 20:57Speaker 16: a pickup line on me. All his personality just did
- 21:01Speaker 16: it for me.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Oh wow?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Maybe is it like eye contact?
- 21:10Speaker 17: I mean when she came out of the limo, I
- 21:12Speaker 17: looked at her eyes and God, like.
- 21:15Speaker 15: What did you say when you got out of the limo?
- 21:18Speaker 8: Please?
- 21:20Speaker 15: Okay?
- 21:21Speaker 16: So I don't think I've ever told anybody this, but
- 21:25Speaker 16: so they kind of like I had the idea that
- 21:28Speaker 16: I wanted to like throw football to them. They didn't
- 21:29Speaker 16: really like that.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Then they were like, you should do.
- 21:33Speaker 16: A moaning scene from what is that movie? They wanted
- 21:38Speaker 16: me to reenact that, and I was so uncomfortable with it,
- 21:42Speaker 16: and I actually called the producer from my hotel room.
- 21:44Speaker 16: I said, I don't want to do this. I don't
- 21:45Speaker 16: want to do it.
- 21:45Speaker 1: They're like, you have to do it right.
- 21:48Speaker 16: And anyways, last minute we were in the limo and
- 21:51Speaker 16: then the producer was like, hey, we have to change that.
- 21:54Speaker 16: They don't think they'd be able.
- 21:55Speaker 1: To air it.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Thank reason, right, I know that to the.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Right. So I just say this.
- 22:06Speaker 2: So I said, that would have been awful because you
- 22:12Speaker 2: when you smile, your eyes, your whole face like lights
- 22:15Speaker 2: up like it does it does?
- 22:18Speaker 1: It does? It was so lame.
- 22:22Speaker 16: But I came out and I was like, we have
- 22:23Speaker 16: something in common, we're both from Austin, and then I'm
- 22:26Speaker 16: not from Austin. I was so nervous, and I was like,
- 22:32Speaker 16: we have something in This was the line I was
- 22:34Speaker 16: told to say, we have something in common, we're both
- 22:37Speaker 16: from Austin, and he immediately goes, I'm not from Austin
- 22:40Speaker 16: and they cut that part out.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I was like, then I panic, and I'm like, neither, wait.
- 22:45Speaker 3: A second, I'm sorry, and we're not gonna we're not
- 22:47Speaker 3: gonna harp on this too much. They told you just
- 22:48Speaker 3: to make something up like I'm from Austin and so
- 22:52Speaker 3: what they.
- 22:52Speaker 16: Told me, right, yeah, So it's like I panicked. Know
- 22:56Speaker 16: I'm like this is production whatever. And then he immediately
- 23:01Speaker 16: said that and I was like oh, and I couldn't
- 23:03Speaker 16: like catch up to it. So I was just like,
- 23:05Speaker 16: you know what they say, everything's bigger in Austin, and
- 23:08Speaker 16: I like, look down at you said that.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I mean it's clever taking on your feet.
- 23:17Speaker 1: That's a lot. That's what Jen and I learned. It's
- 23:24Speaker 1: called packing in the pants.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yes, yes, it's started a lot in this podcast.
- 23:29Speaker 13: We certainly have.
- 23:31Speaker 1: He definitely has a packaging Well.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Listen, Kelly and I are both fifty seven.
- 23:35Speaker 3: You're gonna have to work with actually, So if you're
- 23:39Speaker 3: going to a movie, guys and you're flirting, you want
- 23:42Speaker 3: to go to a flirty movie?
- 23:43Speaker 4: Pick one?
- 23:43Speaker 17: Flirt a flirty movie.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Like you're gonna go.
- 23:46Speaker 3: On a date and you want to go can you
- 23:47Speaker 3: do you have any movies you would suggest?
- 23:50Speaker 17: I mean, I'm a huge movie buff, but it's like
- 23:53Speaker 17: for horror movies and thrillers and all that. She loves comedies.
- 23:56Speaker 2: And yeah, but you would take a girl to a
- 24:00Speaker 2: horror movie on a date. But actual.
- 24:06Speaker 17: Protect you against monsters right.
- 24:15Speaker 15: More.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I'm actually more of a roundcom get myself, like I
- 24:18Speaker 3: think nor Fron I would think would be like the
- 24:20Speaker 3: greatest first thing.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Okay, do you guys know who fron is.
- 24:28Speaker 8: Roberts?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Okay, what about best first date?
- 24:33Speaker 16: Okay, my best first date would be going on a
- 24:38Speaker 16: sailboat sun set cruise with a glass of wine.
- 24:42Speaker 4: I never thought about it, but that is that's.
- 24:45Speaker 16: Like she did take me in Portugal and it was
- 24:48Speaker 16: the most romantic. But that was like the epitome of
- 24:55Speaker 16: what I think a first date should be.
- 24:57Speaker 17: Romance.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Right, you don't think that's too committed though, I it's
- 25:00Speaker 1: like it sounds like a lot.
- 25:01Speaker 16: I mean you would hope that, like when you are
- 25:03Speaker 16: starting to date somebody, that they're actually intentionally dating to
- 25:06Speaker 16: get married. But in this world, I feel like it's
- 25:09Speaker 16: so different. But I feel like you've got to start.
- 25:11Speaker 17: Off strung for a perfect.
- 25:18Speaker 16: Holistic one would be.
- 25:20Speaker 2: A good Wait, that's really what you just said. It's
- 25:22Speaker 2: super loaded dating with the intention to get married. A
- 25:24Speaker 2: lot of guys in New York City are just dating
- 25:27Speaker 2: to dating, and so like, I feel like their dates
- 25:30Speaker 2: can be like really over the top and then it goes.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Or dating to hook up or dating. You guys get photographed. Yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: well I don't think we answered any of your questions.
- 25:48Speaker 1: We learned a lot.
- 25:49Speaker 4: We have I know we have actually.
- 25:54Speaker 1: No package. Don't package in your paints. Guys.
- 26:00Speaker 4: This has been really fun, So so excited. Let's go
- 26:03Speaker 4: to jingle ball.
