- 0:14Speaker 1: Now welcome to the normty but Nice Shower. It's Monday,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and I'm your host, Rob Shooter garrets off today, but
- 0:22Speaker 1: don't worry. We've got a ton of gossips and really
- 0:24Speaker 1: juicy gossip actually today that we're going to jump into.
- 0:28Speaker 1: So what time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 0:34Speaker 1: The tea is hot today. Sir Don Lemon is in
- 0:38Speaker 1: a ton of trouble at c n N. He has
- 0:42Speaker 1: apologized to the staff at CNN after his sexist comments
- 0:48Speaker 1: about Nikki Hailey, particularly her age, but the network and
- 0:53Speaker 1: the staff they're not having any of it. So CNN
- 0:57Speaker 1: typically devotes their morning meetings, their editorial calls to hashing
- 1:03Speaker 1: out the news cycle of the day. Here every network
- 1:07Speaker 1: does this. They have morning calls, they have afternoon calls there,
- 1:10Speaker 1: but evening calls, and they really put together the rundown
- 1:13Speaker 1: for all their various programs. They decide what's the lead
- 1:17Speaker 1: story of the day. It's not dissimilar to what we
- 1:20Speaker 1: do here on The Naughty but Night Show. Before the show,
- 1:24Speaker 1: I normally have a little call or text with my
- 1:28Speaker 1: co hosts and we go over what's the biggest story
- 1:31Speaker 1: of the day, what's the lead what's there going to
- 1:33Speaker 1: be the second story, the third story. We do about
- 1:36Speaker 1: five stories and then we do the nicest and the
- 1:39Speaker 1: naughtiest of the day. So what's that five six, seven
- 1:42Speaker 1: stories a day? They have to do that on every
- 1:45Speaker 1: single show, television show they have on CNN, Fox, Emerson,
- 1:50Speaker 1: they all, they all do this. And I had to
- 1:53Speaker 1: give a shout out my dear friend Amy rosen Loom
- 1:56Speaker 1: who used to work for The Today Show. She's the
- 1:58Speaker 1: one that helped me put together the format of our show.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So every single show has this. And in the mornings,
- 2:05Speaker 1: the executive producer that's the big boss, all the talent,
- 2:09Speaker 1: the staff, the producers, they will get on this call
- 2:12Speaker 1: to hash out the show. Well, Don was off the
- 2:16Speaker 1: show on Friday, and incidentally he's off the show to
- 2:20Speaker 1: day two. That's not a good sign. But he did
- 2:23Speaker 1: call in to apologize, so he saw it a sort
- 2:29Speaker 1: of tamp down all the internal and external bank clash
- 2:35Speaker 1: after those really shocking, polarizing comments he made about women
- 2:42Speaker 1: in their prime. Insiders tell me who were on the
- 2:46Speaker 1: call that Don spoke for just a few minutes. He
- 2:50Speaker 1: said he regretted saying that women who were past their
- 2:54Speaker 1: forties are no longer in their prime. He did say that,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and he said that the coverage was really not what
- 3:04Speaker 1: he was trying to get to. He had this idea
- 3:07Speaker 1: that because Nicky Haley, she brought up age really for
- 3:12Speaker 1: presidential candidates like Donald Trump and Joe Biden. She said
- 3:16Speaker 1: that anybody over seventy five should be given a mental
- 3:21Speaker 1: health test. So Nikki was trying to be a guess,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and it naughty, a bit cheeky. She was definitely having
- 3:29Speaker 1: a dig at the age of both Trump and Biden,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and Don rather in artfully sort of thought it would
- 3:38Speaker 1: be clever to say that she should have this test too,
- 3:41Speaker 1: because women are passed their prime in their forties. So
- 3:47Speaker 1: the other ladies that were on the set, particularly Poppy Harlow,
- 3:51Speaker 1: they were really having none of this. They really pushed back, saying,
- 3:57Speaker 1: what are you talking about? And Dave, you've done the
- 4:00Speaker 1: opportunity to apologize. We all say stupid things, particularly if
- 4:06Speaker 1: you're on a live TV show, if you go off
- 4:09Speaker 1: prompter and you start giving your opinions, which is what
- 4:13Speaker 1: they are paid to do. The viewers made a twenty
- 4:15Speaker 1: five year history out of doing this. But when you
- 4:20Speaker 1: have comments like this, you have to apologize immediately. So
- 4:25Speaker 1: Poppy was really rankled by this, and after the show
- 4:28Speaker 1: she actually walked off set, and so she gave Don
- 4:31Speaker 1: a chance to apologize. He doubled down on the situations.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So on Friday, the boss, the new bros of Seeing,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and his name is Chris Licht. He told Don that
- 4:42Speaker 1: he should call in an apologize. It did not go well.
- 4:48Speaker 1: He talked a lot about respecting women. He talked a
- 4:52Speaker 1: lot about his mom, his sister who's passed away. He
- 4:56Speaker 1: talked a lot too about all the other women, including
- 5:00Speaker 1: Dana Bash at CNN, who he considers to be really
- 5:04Speaker 1: close friends. So, yes, he apologized. Was he defensive? Yes,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I've actually listened to the tape, so somebody on the
- 5:13Speaker 1: call did record it. I can't post it for legal reasons,
- 5:18Speaker 1: but I have heard the tape and darn he didn't
- 5:22Speaker 1: come across that well. So there was an apology there,
- 5:26Speaker 1: but it was the way he said it. Has that
- 5:28Speaker 1: ever happened to you where somebody does apologize, but the
- 5:30Speaker 1: way they say it makes sure even more angry. It
- 5:34Speaker 1: left a really bad taste in people's mouths Now, another problem,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and this is really key here. His ratings are terrible.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So since he took over the morning show, their average
- 5:46Speaker 1: female audience in the twenty five to forty group, that's
- 5:51Speaker 1: a very very very important demo for advertisers. It has
- 5:56Speaker 1: declined from d to just seventy four thousand. Only seventy
- 6:02Speaker 1: four thousand in the demo are watching the show. So
- 6:06Speaker 1: that's part of the problem here. Now Don has given
- 6:10Speaker 1: them really a very good reason. Some might say excuse,
- 6:14Speaker 1: some might say reason for him to depart. Ce Ann
- 6:18Speaker 1: Patricia Heaton, I love her, So she's responded. She's sixty
- 6:22Speaker 1: four years old. And what she did on Instagram is
- 6:25Speaker 1: she listed all her accomplishments, all her accomplishments to show
- 6:29Speaker 1: Don that women in their sixties can do a lot
- 6:32Speaker 1: and they are still in their prime. Then get this,
- 6:38Speaker 1: he was pulled from the show today. Don went on vacation,
- 6:43Speaker 1: was pulled for the show today and suddenly the press
- 6:46Speaker 1: exploded saying Don had been fired. I reached out to
- 6:50Speaker 1: see an N and they have issued a statement. They
- 6:53Speaker 1: said Donn has taken a holiday. He's been chased by
- 6:56Speaker 1: Papa Ranzi all weekend. He's been under attack. He not
- 7:00Speaker 1: ready to go back on air. So they're sort of
- 7:03Speaker 1: painting Don as the victim. Here. Don went down to
- 7:07Speaker 1: Miami and instead of just staying in his hotel, he
- 7:10Speaker 1: went to the beach, and there's tons of pictures of
- 7:12Speaker 1: him frolicking around in his behaving costume, giggling, smiling, without
- 7:17Speaker 1: a care in the world. If I was Don's pr guy,
- 7:20Speaker 1: his manager, or even just a really good friend, I
- 7:23Speaker 1: tell him to stay home. He has a luxury apartment
- 7:27Speaker 1: in the city, just just take it down a notch
- 7:30Speaker 1: for a couple of days. Don't be on a beach,
- 7:33Speaker 1: in in a swimming costume, jumping a rod in the water.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It seems as if he's almost enjoying all this attention,
- 7:43Speaker 1: but it's not going away, and it brings us to
- 7:45Speaker 1: our whole question of the day. Don has apologized to
- 7:48Speaker 1: the staff. Let's see an n for calling Nikki Haley
- 7:53Speaker 1: past her prime? Should he be fired? What do you think?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Should Don Lemon be fired? Go vote on our Twitter
- 8:02Speaker 1: page at Naughty Nice rob a Facebook pages already Amy
- 8:07Speaker 1: sure to check back tomorrow, dear your results. Pink who
- 8:11Speaker 1: I Love is making this huge revelation about making Lady
- 8:17Speaker 1: Marmalade's music video, saying it wasn't fun to make that
- 8:22Speaker 1: video with Christina Aguilera during their feud, so Pink seemingly
- 8:28Speaker 1: is shading her former collaborator While discussing what it was
- 8:32Speaker 1: like to make that legendary music video together that also
- 8:37Speaker 1: had Maya and Little Kim in that video. It was
- 8:40Speaker 1: in two thousand and one, a long time ago. She
- 8:43Speaker 1: said the following quote, It wasn't very fun to make all.
- 8:49Speaker 1: She said, It's all about fun with me, and that
- 8:53Speaker 1: was a lot of fuss. There were some personalities that
- 8:58Speaker 1: were problematic, but she did want to say that she
- 9:01Speaker 1: really did like Little Kim and Maya in the video.
- 9:05Speaker 1: In fact, she went on too list of all the
- 9:07Speaker 1: music videos, all the music videos that Pink has made,
- 9:12Speaker 1: she said, that is at least favorite video ever ever ever. Also,
- 9:18Speaker 1: she went on to explain, I think this is so
- 9:20Speaker 1: interesting that when they were going to start the video,
- 9:23Speaker 1: the music executive of the lady, the label executive, walking
- 9:27Speaker 1: in and he didn't say hello to any of us.
- 9:29Speaker 1: This is what Pink said. He said, what's the high part,
- 9:34Speaker 1: what's the most singing part? Christina is going to take
- 9:37Speaker 1: that part? And Pink stood up and said, excuse me, hi,
- 9:41Speaker 1: how are you so nice of you? To introduce yourself
- 9:44Speaker 1: and I'm Pink, and she will not be taken that part.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Oh now, later on, years later, Pink alledged that Christina
- 9:54Speaker 1: swung at her in the club at the video, physically
- 9:59Speaker 1: swung at her. Christina went on to deny any physical altercation,
- 10:05Speaker 1: but it was a really horrible experience. And Pink has
- 10:09Speaker 1: moved on and said we're both in different places now
- 10:11Speaker 1: where moms were married. We don't need to talk about
- 10:14Speaker 1: this anymore. But it is interesting that after all those years,
- 10:19Speaker 1: we knew, we knew there was trouble on the set.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Now it has been confirmed. All the stories are really juicy.
- 10:27Speaker 1: One so Prince Harry and Megan they appeared or sort
- 10:30Speaker 1: of appeared in an episode of South Park and now
- 10:34Speaker 1: people are saying they are absolutely no way that they
- 10:37Speaker 1: can recover from this. The Duke and the Duchess of
- 10:41Speaker 1: Sussex were ridiculed in the show's latest episode titled Quote
- 10:46Speaker 1: the Worldwide Privacy Tour, So they did sort of go
- 10:51Speaker 1: on tour saying they wanted privacy. Harry did every interview
- 10:56Speaker 1: you can imagine for his book claiming leave us Alone,
- 10:59Speaker 1: we privacy. Well, now, Megan Kelly and a lot of
- 11:02Speaker 1: other people are saying that once you appear on south Park,
- 11:06Speaker 1: once South Park makes fun of you, you have jumped
- 11:10Speaker 1: the shark. Megan Kelly also goes on to say that
- 11:14Speaker 1: any hopes of Megan Markel running for president, they have
- 11:18Speaker 1: all been dashed. Now it's not going to happen. Quote.
- 11:21Speaker 1: When South Park turns on you, there's no recovering. So
- 11:26Speaker 1: let me explain the episode. I don't watch south Park
- 11:29Speaker 1: that much, but I did see clips from the episodes
- 11:32Speaker 1: and it is really cheeky. So in the episode, the
- 11:35Speaker 1: couple who were not identified as Harry and Megan, but
- 11:40Speaker 1: they clearly were, were spotted moving, leaving and moving to
- 11:46Speaker 1: the U. S A. Because they demand privacy, and one
- 11:51Speaker 1: of their ways to achieve this privacy was to appear
- 11:55Speaker 1: on television to promote a book that looks remarkably similar
- 12:00Speaker 1: to Harry's book Spare. Royal experts also predict to that
- 12:05Speaker 1: William Prince William would probably get a chuckle out of this.
- 12:09Speaker 1: They said that William doesn't watch sad Park, however, lots
- 12:13Speaker 1: of his friends will see it on social media like
- 12:16Speaker 1: I did, and they will send him the clips, and
- 12:19Speaker 1: they said he probably has a wry smile on his
- 12:24Speaker 1: face while he is watching. Another lovely royal moment over
- 12:27Speaker 1: the weekend is that William and Kate went to the
- 12:30Speaker 1: bath to rewards. The bafters are like the British oscars,
- 12:33Speaker 1: And while they were walking the carpet, we spotted Kate
- 12:37Speaker 1: tapping William's bottom. I like to call it a love tap.
- 12:42Speaker 1: They were walking along the carpet, My goodness, they looked
- 12:45Speaker 1: so gorgeous and she reached over and gently slapped him
- 12:49Speaker 1: on the bottom. So unusual to see the royals have
- 12:54Speaker 1: any public display of affection, but this was just a
- 12:59Speaker 1: durable What do you think about Harry and Megan? Are
- 13:02Speaker 1: you sick of them? I used to love Harry and Megan.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's not that I'm sick of them, but I think
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's like Don Lemon, they're just so overexposed at the moment.
- 13:12Speaker 1: They need to just go away for a little bit,
- 13:14Speaker 1: just for six months or so. This happens with celebrities
- 13:17Speaker 1: all the time. In my PR day, we were really
- 13:20Speaker 1: clear and careful about when a celebrity was just too much.
- 13:25Speaker 1: You just couldn't get away from them, and the public
- 13:28Speaker 1: gets sick of you. And I think after the book
- 13:31Speaker 1: it was a huge success. But I think now Harry
- 13:34Speaker 1: for six months, just disappear a little bit and then
- 13:38Speaker 1: come back with a new project and will all be
- 13:40Speaker 1: really interested in it all over again. But my advice
- 13:43Speaker 1: at the moment is lay low you too, don Lemon,
- 13:47Speaker 1: if you are listening this story. I've been getting so
- 13:52Speaker 1: many calls about it. So a Ryan Seacrest, we now
- 13:55Speaker 1: know why he quit Live with Kelly, So sources are
- 13:59Speaker 1: telling eat that it really was a very, very difficult decision,
- 14:04Speaker 1: but it was ultimately just all too much. He was
- 14:07Speaker 1: working in New York, then going back to l A
- 14:10Speaker 1: for Idol. He's got tons of other gigs, including ABC's
- 14:15Speaker 1: New Year's Eve show, The Rocking Eve, and he also
- 14:19Speaker 1: hosts a daily syndicated radio show and it's really really successful.
- 14:24Speaker 1: He's got his own production company he invented keeping Up
- 14:27Speaker 1: with the Kardashians, and it just became too much. Allegedly
- 14:31Speaker 1: being bicoastal, the wear and the tear was was really
- 14:35Speaker 1: getting to him, and he had signs of Bernard, who
- 14:39Speaker 1: can forget. Just a couple of years ago in Ryan
- 14:43Speaker 1: suffered from exhaustion, member he took a little bit of
- 14:46Speaker 1: time off and then when he was on air, he
- 14:49Speaker 1: started to mix up his words, and some people claim
- 14:52Speaker 1: that he had a stroke. It's not true. He didn't.
- 14:55Speaker 1: He was just exhausted. So now none of us are
- 14:58Speaker 1: getting any younger his sided. Just to take a step back,
- 15:03Speaker 1: Ryan has worked since he was a teenager, and so's
- 15:07Speaker 1: his own saying that he promised to spend the holidays
- 15:12Speaker 1: with just his family, and that's exactly what he did.
- 15:15Speaker 1: He turned off his phone, he stopped working, and he
- 15:19Speaker 1: really now finally is enjoying the other side of life.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Let's be honest. He has so much money he never
- 15:26Speaker 1: has to work again. But what Ryan doesn't really have
- 15:30Speaker 1: is a great social life. Everything has been about work, work, work,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and now he's figured out. I don't want to miss that.
- 15:38Speaker 1: You know what, Nobody on their deathbed. Nobody on their
- 15:42Speaker 1: deathbed says I wish I'd spent another day in the office. No,
- 15:46Speaker 1: they wish they'd spent more time with their friends, their family.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I think this is really really lovely Ryan. Good for you. Hey,
- 15:55Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break because we will
- 15:56Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome bag to the Naughty but Nice Show.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm Rob Shooter. Our dear friend Garrett is off today,
- 16:05Speaker 1: So let's get to the poles. Don't did you sing along?
- 16:09Speaker 1: I bet you did so. On a last show, we
- 16:12Speaker 1: talked about Ryan Seacrest leaving Live and being replaced by
- 16:16Speaker 1: Kelly Ripper's husband, Mark con Swillets. I've met him, I've
- 16:21Speaker 1: interviewed him, and I think I might be in love
- 16:24Speaker 1: with him. Not only is he had some he's one
- 16:27Speaker 1: of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Some My
- 16:30Speaker 1: question was, is Mark the right choice to replace Ryan?
- 16:36Speaker 1: Let's have a look, Oh said yes, I totally agree.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I'm going to be tuning in more. I watched the
- 16:45Speaker 1: show a lot, but I'm gonna be tuning in more
- 16:47Speaker 1: because I think I like Mark even more. Dare I
- 16:50Speaker 1: say than I like Kelly. I really like him. I
- 16:53Speaker 1: love Kelly. I do love Kelly together. I think they
- 16:56Speaker 1: are going to be marvelous. Don't forget to vote on
- 17:01Speaker 1: today's poll. Go to our Twitter page and naughty nice
- 17:04Speaker 1: Rob or our Facebook page and already goes in misure
- 17:07Speaker 1: to check back to mor row to hear your results
- 17:10Speaker 1: are Now it's time for a noisest of the day,
- 17:15Speaker 1: and Revel Wilson has confirmed that she's engaged to her
- 17:21Speaker 1: her love of a life Ramona. So the two of
- 17:25Speaker 1: them had a magical engagement at disney Land. Yes, she wrote, yes,
- 17:32Speaker 1: we said yes and two hearts. She also went on
- 17:35Speaker 1: to thank Tiffany and Company expensive for the stunning ring
- 17:40Speaker 1: and Bob He's the head of Disney, for helping her
- 17:44Speaker 1: pull off this magical surprise. So I guess if we
- 17:48Speaker 1: want to get engaged at Disneyland disney World, we just
- 17:51Speaker 1: buy a ticket. She could call up the president of
- 17:55Speaker 1: Disney and they certainly laid out a fabulous, fabulous time
- 17:59Speaker 1: for her. She's posted some really lovely pictures on Instagram.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Check them out and hey you two congratulations. Love is
- 18:08Speaker 1: love his lover and now our naughtiest of the day, naughty,
- 18:12Speaker 1: naughty naughtony. This weekend, Countess Luanne was doing her cabaret
- 18:16Speaker 1: and a small club here in New York. It's called
- 18:18Speaker 1: Below fifty four. It's a really fun place to go up. Well,
- 18:21Speaker 1: apparently one of her fans was laughing so hard that
- 18:26Speaker 1: she threw up you heard me right, So Luand was
- 18:31Speaker 1: talking in the microphone to her audience members. Part of
- 18:34Speaker 1: her show is she does a cue and area and
- 18:36Speaker 1: you can ask her pretty much anything. So she sings
- 18:38Speaker 1: some songs, she talks to the audience, and one girl
- 18:42Speaker 1: was laughing so hard at the joke that she projectile
- 18:46Speaker 1: vomited all over Luan's costume and her hair, confirmed her
- 18:52Speaker 1: spokesperson quote, everybody was cracking up. I wouldn't I also
- 18:58Speaker 1: think too. Maybe it was just the fact that Luan
- 19:01Speaker 1: is funny, which she certainly is. But when you go
- 19:04Speaker 1: to see Luan, oh my goodness, it's like a party.
- 19:08Speaker 1: These people are drinking, drinking, drinking. Maybe somebody had one
- 19:15Speaker 1: too many, and naughties of the day. At end with
- 19:18Speaker 1: a moment of Rob, you get Robbiello Roub twenty minutes.
