- 0:17Speaker 1: have a few more questions for you. So to start,
- 0:20Speaker 1: do you know of any other individuals that knowingly facilitated
- 0:24Speaker 1: mister Epstein and his crimes? Answer knowingly facilitated no question,
- 0:30Speaker 1: or help them in any way? Answer no question. Did
- 0:33Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein ever inform or represent to you that he
- 0:36Speaker 1: was working with an intelligent service of any nation, including
- 0:39Speaker 1: the United States? Answer no question. Did Glenn Maxwell ever
- 0:44Speaker 1: inform or represent to you that she was working with
- 0:47Speaker 1: any intelligence service all of any nation? Answer no question.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Did you ever suspect mister Epstein or miss Maxwell of
- 0:54Speaker 1: being affiliated with any intelligence agency? Answer no question. We've
- 0:59Speaker 1: discussed the investstigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the first investigation in
- 1:03Speaker 1: two thousand and five and his following arrest multiple times
- 1:06Speaker 1: during today's interview. Just so the record's clear, When did
- 1:10Speaker 1: you first become aware of the investigation into mister Epstein. Answer,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I believe it was in August of two thousand and
- 1:16Speaker 1: seven when they came to my door. The FBI came
- 1:19Speaker 1: to my door. Question and that was after he was arrested?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Answer when was he arrested? Question? I forgot the exact date.
- 1:27Speaker 1: He was arrested in July of two thousand and six
- 1:30Speaker 1: for the first time. Answer, Oh, okay, I'm not sure.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I believe it was when they came to my door.
- 1:36Speaker 1: That's when I figured it out. Question and did mister
- 1:39Speaker 1: Epstein ever discuss this investigation with you? Answer? He did
- 1:44Speaker 1: after I was served the subpoena. Yeah. Question and what
- 1:47Speaker 1: did he say to you? Answer he said that he
- 1:50Speaker 1: was being blackmailed and that there was a short discussion.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Question and did you have any kind of knowledge of
- 1:55Speaker 1: any illegal activity by mister Epstein prior to his arrest
- 1:59Speaker 1: in two thousand and six? Answer no question. On October twentieth,
- 2:04Speaker 1: two thousand and five, police executed a search warrant for
- 2:07Speaker 1: mister Epstein's pom Beach, Florida home. Do you recall this happening?
- 2:10Speaker 1: Answer no question. Did you ever learn about this happening? Answer?
- 2:15Speaker 1: I did learn after the fact, Yes, that it had happened.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Question so while you were still working for him? Answer yes.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Question so you were not present at the Palm Beach
- 2:25Speaker 1: residence when that occurred? Answer no question. What did you
- 2:29Speaker 1: hear about the raid when you learned about it? Answer
- 2:32Speaker 1: that they had come in and rated his home and
- 2:34Speaker 1: took I don't know exactly, maybe computers. They searched his
- 2:38Speaker 1: trash cans, that sort of thing. Question and there was
- 2:41Speaker 1: reporting that many believe Epstein was tipped off about the raid,
- 2:45Speaker 1: since multiple computers that were expected to be at the
- 2:48Speaker 1: house were missing when the search warrant was executed. To
- 2:51Speaker 1: your knowledge, did anyone tip Jeffrey Epstein off to the
- 2:54Speaker 1: October twentieth search warrant in Palm Beach? Answer not that
- 2:58Speaker 1: I know of. Question and are you aware of any
- 3:01Speaker 1: items being removed from his Palm Beach residence prior to
- 3:04Speaker 1: the FBI raid? Answer no question. Did you receive specific
- 3:08Speaker 1: instructions to destroy any information from any residences at this time?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Answer no question. Did you receive specific instruction to have
- 3:17Speaker 1: any items removed from any of his residences at this time?
- 3:21Speaker 1: Answer no question. Did you ever instruct someone to remove
- 3:25Speaker 1: items from any of his residences? Answer no question. At
- 3:29Speaker 1: the New York property. You are not instructed to remove
- 3:32Speaker 1: any items from his town home. Answer that's correct. No question.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Were any other items or records ever intentionally destroyed or
- 3:40Speaker 1: withheld from police as part of the investigation? Answer not
- 3:44Speaker 1: that I know of. Question Miss Groff, do you know
- 3:47Speaker 1: what the Florida Science Foundation is? Answer? I did not
- 3:51Speaker 1: know until after we were preparing for this testimony. Question,
- 3:55Speaker 1: so you didn't know at the time? Answer correct. Question.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And you didn't know about him worked at the Florida

- 4:06Speaker 1: the Florida Science Foundation. Right. Question. Did you ever visit
- 4:10Speaker 1: the office of the Florida Science Foundation while mister Epstein
- 4:14Speaker 1: was working there in work release? Answer yes twice. Question
- 4:19Speaker 1: what was the reason for those visits? Answer? Just to
- 4:22Speaker 1: coordinate a list of scientists and their names and phone numbers.
- 4:25Speaker 1: We made appointments with Gloria and I'm forgetting his name. Backner,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you testified to it earlier, Graff, Yes, Backner Minsky, Graff Minsky,
- 4:35Speaker 1: Marvin Minsky. Yes, he came and stayed the whole entire
- 4:38Speaker 1: day with mister Epstein, him and his wife, He and
- 4:40Speaker 1: his wife, and it was just connected him to some scientists,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and he had lots of attorneys coming in and out.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Question and do you recall where the office was located?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Answer hang on, it was in the same building as
- 4:53Speaker 1: his attorney, Jack Goldberger Australian avenue something like that. Question
- 4:58Speaker 1: and you testified to this, But mister Epstein was allowed
- 5:01Speaker 1: to have visitors while he was on work release? Answer yes.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Question did anyone else visit him? To your knowledge? Answer?
- 5:08Speaker 1: I said Dara Torres earlier in the attorney Larry Vasoski,
- 5:12Speaker 1: the pilot. I know I met Larry's wife one day there,
- 5:15Speaker 1: his driver and security guard Jim instructor Igor, I don't
- 5:19Speaker 1: remember the last name. It starts with the Z. Sarah
- 5:21Speaker 1: Kellen and Story cows. Who was the paralegal? Question while
- 5:26Speaker 1: he was on work release? Did mister Epstein ever engage
- 5:29Speaker 1: in any sexual conduct with any woman? Answer? No, I mean, now,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I understand after the fact there's been allegations. Question but
- 5:37Speaker 1: you had no direct knowledge of this? Answer No, question,
- 5:40Speaker 1: Miss Groff, who's Matthew Mitchell? Do you know who that is? Answer?
- 5:44Speaker 1: I've come to find out preparing for this that he
- 5:46Speaker 1: was an attorney. Did you understand him to have a
- 5:49Speaker 1: relationship with mister Epstein when you work for mister Epstein. Answer,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't even remember him. He's just a name that
- 5:57Speaker 1: now I recognize because of listening to other people's testimony.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Question do you recall ever scheduling meetings, dinners, or any
- 6:04Speaker 1: kind of appointment between Menchell and Epstein? Answer? I don't recall.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Question And do you know if mister Epstein ever later
- 6:11Speaker 1: hired mister Minchell to work for him? Answer? I don't know. Question.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And then I'm going to ask you about the New
- 6:16Speaker 1: York residence specifically. Were you aware of security cameras on
- 6:20Speaker 1: or at the residence? Answer at seventy first Street question yes,
- 6:25Speaker 1: answer there were. There was a room with monitors, and
- 6:28Speaker 1: there were security cameras that looked out onto seventy first Street.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Question did you have access to that room? Answer? I
- 6:35Speaker 1: could go in there, but I didn't go in there
- 6:37Speaker 1: very often. Question was there a reason you would not
- 6:40Speaker 1: go in there? Or can you describe the instances? Answer
- 6:43Speaker 1: just to say a load of rich who was in
- 6:46Speaker 1: that office, Maybe a UPS package would be in there,
- 6:49Speaker 1: something like that. Question so not to review security footage? Answer? Oh,
- 6:53Speaker 1: no question. And did all of his residences have similar
- 6:57Speaker 1: security camera rooms? Answer I don't know. Mister Emmer jumps in,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and to be clear, you said the security cameras were
- 7:04Speaker 1: outside the residence. Graff, Yes, Emmer, You're not aware of
- 7:08Speaker 1: any security cameras inside the residence. Graff No, Emmer Okay,
- 7:13Speaker 1: Tolan doing the questioning again. Question do you know if
- 7:17Speaker 1: security footage was stored anywhere? Answer? I don't know. Question
- 7:20Speaker 1: do you know if any footage was ever turned over
- 7:22Speaker 1: to the police or the FBI? Answer I don't know.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Question do you know what happens to any of the
- 7:28Speaker 1: footage after mister Epstein's death? Answer no. Question. When did
- 7:32Speaker 1: you learn of mister Epstein's death? Answer I think the
- 7:35Speaker 1: morning had happened. Question who told you? Answer my counsel.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Question what did you do next? Or who did you
- 7:41Speaker 1: speak with? Answer my husband? He was right with me. Question.
- 7:45Speaker 1: In all the years you've known and work for mister Epstein,
- 7:48Speaker 1: did he ever demonstrate suicidal tendencies? Answer no. Question. Have
- 7:52Speaker 1: you ever heard mister Epstein say that he wanted to
- 7:54Speaker 1: commit suicide? Answer no? Question do you believe that mister
- 7:58Speaker 1: Epstein committed suicide? Answer I don't know. Question, and I
- 8:03Speaker 1: believe we touched on this a little bit earlier. But
- 8:05Speaker 1: when you did first learn about the two thousand and
- 8:07Speaker 1: eight non prosecution agreement? When was that? Answer? I believe
- 8:12Speaker 1: it was when he went to jail. Question and what
- 8:15Speaker 1: were you told about the agreement? If anything? Answer just
- 8:19Speaker 1: that I was I was in it, and I didn't
- 8:22Speaker 1: really understand it. Brignac asking questions now? And who told
- 8:27Speaker 1: you you were in it? Groff? Mister endyke back to Toland,
- 8:30Speaker 1: who's now asking the questions again. Question, and why did
- 8:34Speaker 1: you think you were named in the agreement? Answer? I
- 8:37Speaker 1: didn't understand it at all. I felt very far away
- 8:40Speaker 1: from Palm Beach. I felt like I had nothing to
- 8:42Speaker 1: do with it. I was surprised. Question and then I
- 8:45Speaker 1: know we've talked at length about massages, mister Epstein, receiving
- 8:49Speaker 1: massages and the role that you had in scheduling those.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I just had a few more clarification questions for the record,
- 8:56Speaker 1: just to be clear. Did you ever pay money to
- 8:58Speaker 1: any person in a exchange for a massage? For mister Epstein? Answer?
- 9:03Speaker 1: The only thing I never handed any money to anyone.
- 9:06Speaker 1: The only thing I would have done is if mister
- 9:08Speaker 1: Epstein directed me to have redacted put money in an
- 9:11Speaker 1: envelope for someone, and then that envelope would be picked
- 9:13Speaker 1: up by a messenger or Jojo as driver and taken
- 9:16Speaker 1: to that person. Question So, just to be clear, did
- 9:19Speaker 1: you ever give money to a fifteen year old girl
- 9:21Speaker 1: for the purpose of massaging? Mister Epstein? Answer no question,
- 9:26Speaker 1: And we touched on this earlier, But just to clarify,
- 9:29Speaker 1: did you ever provide any gifts to any of the messuses?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Answer no question. Did you ever provide Broadway tickets to
- 9:36Speaker 1: any messuses? Answer no question. The committee is also aware
- 9:40Speaker 1: of allegations of Jeffrey Epstein engaging in blackmail of sorts.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Did mister Epstein ever ask you to look up information
- 9:48Speaker 1: to use against any young women or girls? Answer no question,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and then again, just to reiterate so the record's clear.
- 9:56Speaker 1: While scheduling a massage for mister Ebstein, did you ever
- 9:59Speaker 1: ask any of the masouse u for the rage? Answer
- 10:01Speaker 1: no question. Did you ever ask them anything about their appearance?
- 10:05Speaker 1: Answer no. Mister Emer asked a question, now, did you
- 10:08Speaker 1: ever ask a review school ideas of anyone? Miss Graff
- 10:11Speaker 1: No Brignac, did you ever review school IDs groff No,
- 10:16Speaker 1: mister Tolan or miss Tolan. Excuse me? And are you
- 10:18Speaker 1: aware of messuses or girls being paid money if they
- 10:21Speaker 1: recruited a friend to get mister Epstein a massage? Graff
- 10:24Speaker 1: no Brignac. Question have you ever made an appointment for
- 10:28Speaker 1: another woman to receive an abortion? Answer no. Question Have
- 10:33Speaker 1: you ever transferred money to anyone for purposes of receiving
- 10:36Speaker 1: an abortion? Answer no? Question does the name doctor Caplan
- 10:40Speaker 1: ring a bell? Answered doctor Caplin? Not off hand? Question
- 10:44Speaker 1: did you ever agree to render payment for services to
- 10:47Speaker 1: doctor Caplan? Answer? I don't recall who doctor Caplin is.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It was not my place to give money to doctors.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I don't know. Question in your work for securing medical
- 10:56Speaker 1: appointments for girls, such as the example we provided you
- 10:59Speaker 1: with today, did you ever receive information about the purpose
- 11:03Speaker 1: of the appointments? Answer no. Question. Are you familiar with
- 11:07Speaker 1: doctor Magnanni? Answer no, mister Bockner one second graf oh Magnani?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Question yes, answer ah, doctor Magnanni in Pombach she was
- 11:16Speaker 1: a dentist. Question yes. Did you ever render payment to
- 11:19Speaker 1: doctor Magnanni for services to young women or girls? Answer no,
- 11:24Speaker 1: not that I recall they were friends, and maybe he
- 11:27Speaker 1: did see them as a dentist as well. Question did
- 11:30Speaker 1: you understand that he was providing dental services to anyone
- 11:33Speaker 1: associated with Jeffrey Epstein? Answer no, Backner, She'd liked to
- 11:38Speaker 1: modify that answer too. I don't recall Brignac, please do, Graf. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: I don't recall setting up an appointment. Now, Emma asking questions.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I know that we've talked at length about the travels
- 11:49Speaker 1: and whether you traveled in furtherance of your employment. Did
- 11:52Speaker 1: you mention that you had flown with mister Epstein were
- 11:54Speaker 1: on the helicopter? Answer I did once. Question can you
- 11:58Speaker 1: elaborate where that helicopter went? Answer? Sure, E left Saint
- 12:01Speaker 1: Thomas and took me over to his island. Question did
- 12:04Speaker 1: you ever travel to Cuba? Answer no, Brignac. Miss gross
- 12:09Speaker 1: you said in your opening statement that you want to
- 12:11Speaker 1: be helpful. Is there any information you have that could
- 12:14Speaker 1: be helpful to this committee? Miss Groff, I feel like
- 12:17Speaker 1: I've talked about a lot of things. I hope that
- 12:19Speaker 1: I've been helpful. I think you guys have covered about everything. Brignac,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and thank you for your assistance today. It's been a
- 12:26Speaker 1: very long day and I appreciate your cooperation with all
- 12:29Speaker 1: these questions. However, you've also said you don't know a
- 12:32Speaker 1: lot today, and I hope you can appreciate some of
- 12:35Speaker 1: the confusion and admittedly frustration with the fact that you
- 12:38Speaker 1: don't know certain circumstances when you work for mister Ebstein
- 12:41Speaker 1: for eighteen years and have been quoted as being an
- 12:44Speaker 1: extension of his brain. Is there anything you can offer
- 12:48Speaker 1: there to help clarify that confusion, Groff, all I can
- 12:51Speaker 1: say is that, truly, and even more now, I recognize
- 12:54Speaker 1: how he kept me away from him. We were not social,
- 12:57Speaker 1: we didn't have discussions, and it was all part of
- 13:00Speaker 1: his scheme and his manipulation. It was one hundred percent
- 13:03Speaker 1: on purpose. Yeah, Backner, I'm not the witness, but because
- 13:07Speaker 1: the newspaper article was used, you know, he also indicated
- 13:10Speaker 1: that she got paid two hundred thousand a year in
- 13:13Speaker 1: two thousand and four, and that's false. So you know
- 13:17Speaker 1: how he may have characterized her as being an extension
- 13:19Speaker 1: of his brain, maybe equally as true as how much
- 13:23Speaker 1: money he was paying her. This is what he said.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It doesn't mean it's all true, and I'm sure you're
- 13:27Speaker 1: aware of that. Brignac. Do you believe that there was
- 13:30Speaker 1: anyone that's testified before the committee that has been untruthful. Graff,
- 13:34Speaker 1: I do not know, Brignac. Is there anything that we've
- 13:36Speaker 1: not asked you about today that you would like to
- 13:39Speaker 1: offer into the record, Groff, I don't believe so. No. Backner.
- 13:43Speaker 1: One of the questions that was asked by the gentleman
- 13:45Speaker 1: sitting next to Miss Talib, I apologize, I don't know
- 13:48Speaker 1: his name for the minority. I don't know if you
- 13:50Speaker 1: want to clarify it. But Miss Groff was asked repeatedly
- 13:54Speaker 1: by him how she cannot believe that someone who was
- 13:57Speaker 1: quote in school and was an orchestra was not I
- 14:00Speaker 1: think she would just like to elaborate Whitcomb. Sorry, No
- 14:03Speaker 1: miners have orchestra practice at ten pm? Groff, Yeah, to me,
- 14:08Speaker 1: no high school students going to orchestra practice at ten pm.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And this person was working all day. It was definitely
- 14:14Speaker 1: someone who was of age, and miners are just not
- 14:17Speaker 1: going to staying up late. You know, I raised my son.
- 14:20Speaker 1: We're never going to let him do those things. This
- 14:22Speaker 1: person clearly had to be someone of age, and it's
- 14:25Speaker 1: New York. To me, I can't imagine that someone's going
- 14:28Speaker 1: to school, who's a miner that late in the evening,
- 14:31Speaker 1: Miss Toland, thank you. That's all the questions we have
- 14:33Speaker 1: for you today. We'll conclude and go off the record,
- 14:37Speaker 1: all right, folks. That wraps up the Leslie Groff transcript
- 14:40Speaker 1: from her meeting with Congress. All the information that goes
- 14:44Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
