- 1:01Speaker 2: Kind is in the building. What's up?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Brother? Was good? Was good? Man?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Uh? Give me? So I've had some people tell me,
- 1:06Speaker 2: are you like, did you spend some time in Houston
- 1:08Speaker 2: or something?
- 1:09Speaker 1: I did? So?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Are you like, where were you born?
- 1:11Speaker 1: I was born in India.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Okay, so you're born in India. But you you like, like,
- 1:14Speaker 2: what was your Houston timeline in life?
- 1:16Speaker 1: My Houston timeline was from the fourth grade till first year,
- 1:22Speaker 1: like university.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So you're damn near h town yeah and through yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 2: because I think when I first met you had a
- 1:29Speaker 2: Rockets jersey on I did.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Man. Yeah, yeah, so you're a Rockets. Good season too, man,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I already know Dune. You guys got just
- 1:37Speaker 1: like jailing green with this ups.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And you guys have too many young players that they do.
- 1:40Speaker 1: But it's just a defensive team, man. So it's just
- 1:42Speaker 1: it's just so different than.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Because what's the kid's name is it Reed?
- 1:46Speaker 2: The white boy you guys drafted, he don't even play,
- 1:49Speaker 2: Cam Whitmore don't play.
- 1:50Speaker 1: But they's just just so much talent, man, that just
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's just a team that has such a high ceiling.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Thompson's so nice, so good man.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Fox, that's so good man. Yeah, dude, defensive offensive,
- 2:01Speaker 1: he just picks up his three point game and it's
- 2:03Speaker 1: game over.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Uh. Did you used to hate Dylan Brooks before he
- 2:06Speaker 2: played for y'all? Yes, me too. Yeah, so I used
- 2:09Speaker 2: to hate Grayson Allen and then we got Grayson Allen
- 2:12Speaker 2: and I don't hate him as much.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But you realize, like how much of an impact that
- 2:15Speaker 1: kind of a player makes. It's just insane. Bro, you
- 2:18Speaker 1: can't help but love him now.
- 2:19Speaker 2: He's like the kind of guy like you like hate
- 2:21Speaker 2: when he's not on your team, but you gotta love
- 2:22Speaker 2: love on your team.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like a Patrick Beverley types.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, or like even Draymond Yeah exactly. I saw you
- 2:29Speaker 2: hate the Warriors, me too.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I already Warriors. Oh my god. Yesterday they asked
- 2:35Speaker 1: me if I would take a picture with Steph. I mean, honestly,
- 2:38Speaker 1: that's a great shoot in the world. Yeah, of all time,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I got respect.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I mean like I mean, yeah, I always say there's
- 2:42Speaker 2: like sports hate and then like you meet people in
- 2:45Speaker 2: real life, like you guys are just like I make
- 2:47Speaker 2: Draymond he was the nicest guy, you know.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and also like you can't deny greatness, right, It's
- 2:51Speaker 1: just like it's so in your face. Man, he's just incredible.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I have just you know, you know what I hated
- 2:56Speaker 2: was just the uh the I always look at the
- 2:59Speaker 2: Warriors is I don't know if you we're familiar with
- 3:02Speaker 2: wrestling or w W, but they're like John Cena, like
- 3:06Speaker 2: generic fans of the sport, just loved the Warriors and
- 3:10Speaker 2: little kids.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny you mentioned that, because you know, the
- 3:13Speaker 1: NBA has been picking up around the world, right, and
- 3:16Speaker 1: we're in India. It's just all of a sudden, everybody's
- 3:20Speaker 1: a Warriors fan. It's just like, yo, he's just chill,
- 3:24Speaker 1: like you relax on this and that too. Being a
- 3:26Speaker 1: Rockets fan, you're just like, oh my god, man, this
- 3:28Speaker 1: is a little bit too much.
- 3:31Speaker 2: How heartbreaking was I remember being drunk at a pool
- 3:34Speaker 2: watching you guys go like one for I remember what
- 3:39Speaker 2: was that game with Chris Paul and Harden were you guys?
- 3:41Speaker 2: I don't remember how many threes in a row you missed.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I think it was like twenty eight.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Twenty seven.
- 3:45Speaker 2: It was insane. Yeah, that was that was the year.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the if we had if we had
- 3:50Speaker 1: gone past them, we would have won the chip, Like.
- 3:53Speaker 2: You guys would have made five more threes or something.
- 3:56Speaker 2: The probability have been missing that many in a rows.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It was just ridiculous. It's like all the misses we
- 4:00Speaker 1: could have ever done, just the one added up in
- 4:03Speaker 1: just one like quarter one quarter. It's at the end.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it was. It was so heartbreaking because who
- 4:09Speaker 2: did who was it the Raptors that year that ended up?
- 4:12Speaker 2: That was the Raptors year? Right?
- 4:15Speaker 1: No? I think Golden State one that year? No, right, No,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I think that was the Raptors year that twenty nineteen
- 4:21Speaker 1: that was the Raptors. Was the Raptors.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys would have smoked the Raptors.
- 4:24Speaker 1: We would have beat the Raptors for so.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so you have a place in your heart for Harden.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I do. I do, no matter where, Like it's for sure,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, he's just this is incredible.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Man, second greatest rocket of all time.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean I put Jason McGrady up there too,
- 4:41Speaker 1: like because Tracey mcgra McGrady was what who got me
- 4:44Speaker 1: into basketball?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Like would you put McGrady over yow?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yes? Yeah, point just because I just enjoyed watching him
- 4:51Speaker 1: play just offensively. He was just such such a force. R.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Gredy's like the kind of player who, like the just
- 4:57Speaker 2: man if he would have had like a you know
- 5:00Speaker 2: them injuries, man, all time, all time great score.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Just so good man, so fluid and so just so
- 5:06Speaker 1: explosive when you need it to be. It's just an
- 5:08Speaker 1: incredible man.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It's like t Mac. It's like Grant Hill Penny, Yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 2: Brandon Roy, like guys who like should have like.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It's a great That was a great time for basketball.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Actually, and he had fire as Adidas.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah he did. Man, there's everybody wanted them.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Man.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It was just it's crazy.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I can only imagine. Yeah, then you had yow shout
- 5:26Speaker 2: outs at yao ming man.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah man, that would We were supposed to win that
- 5:29Speaker 1: year too. Like it was just a crazy team man.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You know, talk to me, man. Obviously you know what
- 5:35Speaker 2: I appreciated. What obviously got got a I think what
- 5:39Speaker 2: kind of sucked a lot of people into check you
- 5:41Speaker 2: out was like just the level of first of all,
- 5:43Speaker 2: the big Dogs record was fire, but just the visual
- 5:46Speaker 2: was so crazy. And then this new video that you
- 5:50Speaker 2: have is even crazier, Like what is your thought process
- 5:56Speaker 2: the creative process to these visuals man like and.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Hmm, see I have I'm blessed to have a team
- 6:04Speaker 1: of folks that always tries to push the envelope and
- 6:06Speaker 1: whatever we do, right, I think the process is like
- 6:10Speaker 1: just being open and receptive to as much and whatever
- 6:14Speaker 1: it is that we feel when it comes to what
- 6:17Speaker 1: it is we're making. Right. My boy Bitjoy, who's the
- 6:20Speaker 1: director of everything I do, He's just a visionary, so
- 6:24Speaker 1: he comes up with a lot of craziness and I'm
- 6:26Speaker 1: the one who, like who figures it out if we
- 6:28Speaker 1: can actually do this or not, you know what I mean?
- 6:31Speaker 1: And that balance is just found because visually there's just
- 6:34Speaker 1: so much you can do man generally like and you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: like music is just a great medium if you're trying
- 6:39Speaker 1: to communicate when it comes to sound right or visuals,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but as of late, visuals has just been kind of
- 6:45Speaker 1: just dying down right, no one percent paying attention to us.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Russ had an interviewed recently, maybe like two years ago now,
- 6:51Speaker 2: where he was talking about like the ROI on like
- 6:54Speaker 2: music videos just isn't what it used to be. But
- 6:58Speaker 2: I feel like if you do it the right way.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I don't we couldn't give I didn't
- 7:02Speaker 1: give ship about ROI. For me, it was like we
- 7:05Speaker 1: just loved doing it right. It was so important because
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know, if I'm getting to make music and make
- 7:12Speaker 1: videos and like live off of that and I'm gonna
- 7:15Speaker 1: have a ball the time when to put.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Mailed it in on the Big Dogs video, it might
- 7:20Speaker 2: not have I mean, it's a great record, but I
- 7:22Speaker 2: feel like the visuals as important as the music.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It leaves an impression, right, I mean it just because
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know, you can see how much you can see
- 7:30Speaker 1: the intensity of how what I was going through during
- 7:33Speaker 1: the shoot. And I feel like other people that a
- 7:36Speaker 1: motorcycle wild enough. I couldn't get on the motorcycles whether
- 7:39Speaker 1: like that many days though? Too much? Was that one night,
- 7:42Speaker 1: two nights shoot that was one day one day. Yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I couldn't be in that for two days in a row.
- 7:48Speaker 1: That's that's demanding for su Yeah. Yeah, we got through
- 7:52Speaker 1: it though.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And then uh, for you, is it cool to kind
- 7:56Speaker 2: of see like the the TikTok virality of that.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I mean, we don't have TikTok in India, so it
- 8:04Speaker 1: was all based off of Instagram and what we're hearing
- 8:06Speaker 1: is happening on it. So you're like, oh, I heard
- 8:07Speaker 1: it's going like yeah, I'm hearing about things and it's like.
- 8:10Speaker 2: TikTok in India? Is it because they got a China
- 8:13Speaker 2: thing going?
- 8:13Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, it's just this just wow.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Do you guys have your own like is there because
- 8:19Speaker 2: I know, like, uh, certain countries will have like their
- 8:21Speaker 2: own version of apps, Like is there is there something
- 8:23Speaker 2: similar out there that's like just.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I think most people just use Instagram and there's like
- 8:29Speaker 1: I don't know, man, is there anything else?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Nor YouTube?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean of course YouTube, but I think YouTube
- 8:33Speaker 1: is just like its own thing. Yeah, shorts came recently,
- 8:38Speaker 1: right right, and yeah, but YouTube's always been consistent. Man,
- 8:42Speaker 1: It's always been a force in India.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Right Yeah. I feel like it's the number one music
- 8:48Speaker 2: consumption app in the world worldwide. It is in the States,
- 8:51Speaker 2: it's probably Spotify or whatever, but worldwide.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Like everyone means YouTube. Yeah, I mean even if it's
- 8:55Speaker 1: not music, it's my algorithm is so fire at this point,
- 8:58Speaker 1: just like what's.
- 8:58Speaker 2: In the algorithms, just like if you.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Open basketball and also like some philosophy and its just
- 9:04Speaker 1: just random, random shit. The music, tons of it, right,
- 9:07Speaker 1: just visuals that I enjoy and breaking down music. Man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: just so much cool shit.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 3: So you're a big basketball head.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean as much as I can be on
- 9:17Speaker 1: that side of the world. The timings are.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Terrible sometimes, Yeah, what time you have to watch a game?
- 9:20Speaker 1: Like six four in the morning, six in the morning
- 9:22Speaker 1: if you're trying to catch it live. And you know,
- 9:24Speaker 1: if you don't catch it live, it even if you
- 9:26Speaker 1: don't see that, you can do the settings on the
- 9:28Speaker 1: NBA app to like all right, you don't see the score.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I don't want to see the score.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But if you're not really watching it live, it just
- 9:35Speaker 1: doesn't have the same feeling, you know what I mean? Right,
- 9:37Speaker 1: And it always somehow like you open up your phone
- 9:39Speaker 1: and just like some something or something has popped.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Up the open Instagram or Twitter. You're like, oh man,
- 9:45Speaker 2: why I mean yeah, yeah, when I'm a big wrestling fan,
- 9:49Speaker 2: like I was, purposely usually I'm busy when pay per
- 9:51Speaker 2: views are going on, so I'll purposely try to stay
- 9:53Speaker 2: off my phone. Yeah, but it never it never works.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You know, I hear this wrestling is popping off as
- 9:57Speaker 1: a late but the thing is, like I stop watching
- 9:59Speaker 1: a while, but I was really into it too. But
- 10:01Speaker 1: then yeah, you know, right when Johnsena was like picking
- 10:04Speaker 1: up and it was just his era was like full swing,
- 10:07Speaker 1: is when I kind of just repeed it up.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, uh, from attitude era to I've been.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Watching since I was like twelve, so I get that.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Oh maybe younger, fuck yeah, younger. Yeah. Yeah, it's very
- 10:17Speaker 2: it's a niche. I mean, it's blown.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Up though, it is. I hear, I hear. It's having
- 10:22Speaker 1: a renaissance. It's having its own.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You guys have like, yo, what's crazy? Is like in
- 10:26Speaker 2: like Netflix in India's held a different in Netflix here.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, absolutely, Like I'll use the VPN and sometimes
- 10:33Speaker 2: I just select random countries just to see what kind
- 10:35Speaker 2: of good ship, you know. I'm like, damn. Sometimes it's
- 10:38Speaker 2: like shit that's in theaters in the US is already
- 10:40Speaker 2: on a Netflix.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It is. It is, which is sick. But it's also
- 10:44Speaker 1: like the other way around. Sometimes y'all just get access
- 10:46Speaker 1: and everybody's talking about it. They're just giving and then
- 10:49Speaker 1: it's like y'all need to relax because we don't have
- 10:51Speaker 1: it yet. But you guys also like in first world
- 10:53Speaker 1: access even out.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Here like we'll get like like when because obviously Netflix
- 10:58Speaker 2: has like a lot of or Netflix originals that are
- 11:02Speaker 2: with Indian.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Actors, and yeah, the same if you're trying to tap
- 11:06Speaker 1: into some Indian shows, you know, movies and stuff.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the Bollywood industry is so insane, like
- 11:13Speaker 2: it is, man there, Like there's I forget that, I
- 11:17Speaker 2: watched a documentary about one of your guys actors, I
- 11:19Speaker 2: forget his name, but this guy's like Tom Cruise. He's
- 11:22Speaker 2: like fucking one of the biggest stars on a planet.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, well paid, man, everybody's getting paid.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I feel like most Americans, like we only saw like
- 11:32Speaker 2: slum Dog Millionaire, you know.
- 11:33Speaker 1: What I'm saying.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that shit was fire.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I mean, it was a great movie, but it also
- 11:37Speaker 1: you know it just if that's the reference, you know,
- 11:40Speaker 1: that's not really it, right, I mean I'm sure that,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I'm sure there's elements, but it's like an overly dramatized
- 11:47Speaker 1: idea of India, right, which of course there's a lot
- 11:50Speaker 1: of problems within the country, but it's also like there's
- 11:53Speaker 1: a lot of other things there too, which is what
- 11:55Speaker 1: we try and show.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's interesting with any place, right, like you, like,
- 12:00Speaker 2: there's people who think that they're mind made up about
- 12:02Speaker 2: the United States because they see like whatever homeless problems
- 12:06Speaker 2: like certain parts of LA might have, or they might
- 12:08Speaker 2: think everyone's like super fucking racist, and you know, but
- 12:11Speaker 2: it's like this is a giant country. It's the same
- 12:15Speaker 2: thing with India. It's like people like might have their
- 12:17Speaker 2: mind made up about what India is like, but it's like, bro,
- 12:19Speaker 2: it's a dynamic place.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Like exactly that man, exactly. And the thing is it's
- 12:23Speaker 1: just important, you know, conversations like these are just generally
- 12:27Speaker 1: getting people to get out of that bubble. Every place
- 12:30Speaker 1: makes you get inside your bubble, which is fine, Like
- 12:33Speaker 1: people got to live, you know, it's sometimes you only
- 12:34Speaker 1: got to focus on what's important to you, what's working
- 12:37Speaker 1: for you, or what's you know, paying you, getting you
- 12:40Speaker 1: buy on the day to day and everything else is
- 12:42Speaker 1: a distraction, right, Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I think it's important too to have like somebody who
- 12:46Speaker 2: kind of can represent like, you know, what what what
- 12:50Speaker 2: y'all's country is on, like on the hip hop side,
- 12:52Speaker 2: you know, it's important, man, Like, well, I remember we
- 12:55Speaker 2: obviously where the boys or what was the song with
- 12:59Speaker 2: a pajabi seeing Jay Z back in the day.
- 13:01Speaker 1: M m, yeah, that the jay Z record. That was hard.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's hard.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That was that hard? Is that guys still rapping?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, legend.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like also, people like got to understand, like,
- 13:18Speaker 2: you guys are like one of the biggest populations in
- 13:21Speaker 2: the world.
- 13:21Speaker 1: The biggest right now, the biggest kind of upsid.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's like some places too where it's like
- 13:27Speaker 2: the population density is insane right where it's like there's
- 13:31Speaker 2: just so many people in like a small space. Yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I think people just also, I mean this is
- 13:36Speaker 1: a worldwide phenomenon, but like people come to major cities,
- 13:39Speaker 1: you know, like wherever you are, you're from the village
- 13:42Speaker 1: or you're from you know, tier two cities as well.
- 13:45Speaker 1: People come to bigger cities out there and they just
- 13:48Speaker 1: hope for a better life. Man. You can see that
- 13:50Speaker 1: over here. That's like New York and Lay super populated too,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I mean not to the level have it, but then.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like there's like people who are from like
- 13:58Speaker 2: Texas exactly. Let's say people.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Who are from Odessa, Texas.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Maybe they want to move to Houston and chase the
- 14:05Speaker 2: limelight and then they end up you know, sipping lean
- 14:07Speaker 2: and hanging out with Sauce Waka.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You know what is life? Yeah?
- 14:13Speaker 2: Uh, I mean the other thing. Are you full time
- 14:16Speaker 2: in India.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Now most of the time? Yeah, I lived there.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Did you were you able ever to like tap in
- 14:24Speaker 2: with the strip club scene in Houston at all? Because
- 14:26Speaker 2: to me, it's the number one strip club city in America.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I've heard. You know, I left before I could
- 14:32Speaker 1: really get into it, before you could get in. Yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I got a couple of them before and it set
- 14:35Speaker 1: my you know, my intentions very high, and then it's like,
- 14:38Speaker 1: all right, time to leave the country. So yeah, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: but I'm very well aware I'm going to Houston at
- 14:43Speaker 1: the end of this trip.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So yeah, you gotta go, man, you gotta go.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There's they got that time being lost time. Man, I
- 14:48Speaker 1: got to make up for it to go to Trailberger. Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I already went last time.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Oh you did?
- 14:52Speaker 1: That was great? Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah, Trail Burger is a thing. What I mean, Houston's
- 14:55Speaker 2: the best I was out there. We're you got to
- 14:56Speaker 2: go hunting.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I do, man, that I've actually done, but not successfully.
- 15:01Speaker 1: But you know, I was tried that out when I
- 15:03Speaker 1: was younger too. It's like it's amazing. It's home Michie
- 15:05Speaker 1: could do in Texas.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we we were in a helicopter shooting pigs.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Oh wow, you did one of those.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I see those on YouTube with Mexico.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yes, that's fire Man. That's awesome.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I've never hunted or killed in an animal in my life,
- 15:21Speaker 2: and they convinced me into the benefits. They essentially were
- 15:26Speaker 2: like these pigs are They're like vermin. And they also
- 15:30Speaker 2: they killed they killed dogs.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Yeah, they killed people's pets. Those are some big fucking says.
- 15:34Speaker 2: You mean, if I kill one of these pigs, I
- 15:36Speaker 2: could be saving a dog. And I mean I'm all
- 15:38Speaker 2: about saving dogs.
- 15:40Speaker 1: John Rambo Right now.
- 15:45Speaker 2: You know this new video it kind of showcases uh
- 15:49Speaker 2: a martial arts style that's based in India.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Right, yeah, multiple martial arts.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, the ship is wild. Like I like this
- 15:57Speaker 2: new video then better than the Big Dogs video because
- 15:59Speaker 2: it's just so like it's intense, dude.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot going on in it.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yeah, man, we tried, you know, because the song itself
- 16:09Speaker 1: was like the sounds and the energy that it was
- 16:12Speaker 1: from me, It was was like very rooted with the land,
- 16:15Speaker 1: so and you know it has that spirit of like
- 16:18Speaker 1: you know that we try to showcase individuals and so
- 16:23Speaker 1: there's just like like you were saying, there's just a
- 16:26Speaker 1: lot to lot to the land. So there we try
- 16:29Speaker 1: to depict styles from you know, different air corners, Yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 1: different areas and that too, like we're limited to however
- 16:36Speaker 1: long the video is, right, of course, we're able to
- 16:40Speaker 1: do so much. But we you know, we tried it
- 16:43Speaker 1: and this is that song that we thought we could
- 16:45Speaker 1: try because you know, sonically, it's just what drew us
- 16:47Speaker 1: more to that, right, you know what I mean? So yeah, man,
- 16:51Speaker 1: we it was martial arts and there was also some
- 16:53Speaker 1: like you know, old dancing styles that are like you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: rooted in tradition and have a lot of lore behind it,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know, so and that's like more specific to South India.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So we tried everything, man.
- 17:05Speaker 2: No, I mean execution was insane. Is the is like
- 17:10Speaker 2: your fan base out there like excited that you're kind
- 17:12Speaker 2: of showcasing because it's obvious that you have a you
- 17:16Speaker 2: do have the attention of like the rest of the
- 17:18Speaker 2: world as well with music. You know, they're pretty excited
- 17:21Speaker 2: you're able to kind of showcase the culture and they are.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Man, you know, I I'm just like as it can
- 17:28Speaker 1: be a lot sometimes too, but it's also like.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Well, yeah, cause you're like the guide worldwide.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You're the guy asked for this, you know what I mean.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And it's also like at the end of it, it's
- 17:38Speaker 1: like I do have a you know I had I
- 17:42Speaker 1: had the perspective from a lot of other places as well, right,
- 17:47Speaker 1: So it's just not strictly from the land, which is
- 17:50Speaker 1: like a like which is why I try and do
- 17:52Speaker 1: it the way that I do, which is unique to myself.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I just feel like there's like so much that is
- 17:58Speaker 1: there that you see in art that's going to be
- 18:01Speaker 1: coming from there as well. You know, hopefully it's just
- 18:03Speaker 1: to get eyes to more that's happening there, you know
- 18:05Speaker 1: what I mean. Like this is a part of it,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and while I figure out what I'm trying to be
- 18:09Speaker 1: in my life and you know what I'm trying to
- 18:12Speaker 1: say overall, you know what I mean?
- 18:15Speaker 2: When you because when you kind of picture rap name,
- 18:19Speaker 2: because like I remember when old dirty Bastards started going
- 18:23Speaker 2: by Big Baby Jesus, he got a lot of like
- 18:25Speaker 2: what was was it, like, uh, did you get any
- 18:28Speaker 2: blowback for for your name?
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's a great question. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah, there's a lot
- 18:34Speaker 1: of folks who don't take kindly to the fact that
- 18:36Speaker 1: there's like a sense of spiritualism tied in with the name,
- 18:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But that's why India is
- 18:43Speaker 1: not the same as the rest of the world. Man,
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like you have to move carefully if you're doing these
- 18:46Speaker 1: kind of things and so and that's my journey, that's
- 18:50Speaker 1: my battle to figure out and you know, but yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you got to be cautious with that. Definitely, we're figuring.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Out, yeah, like you kind of dealing with it in
- 18:58Speaker 2: real time.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean that's a at the end of it,
- 19:00Speaker 1: Like I'm just I'm just human, man, I'm just a
- 19:02Speaker 1: dude who's trying to make music and you know that
- 19:04Speaker 1: happy to be the name that that that you.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Know for people who aren't solidified extremely like a because
- 19:10Speaker 2: a lot of Americans don't understand break down your name
- 19:13Speaker 2: and just kind of the meaning.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Right, Well, mankind is like a combination of a little
- 19:18Speaker 1: bit of my world and the rest of the world, right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: the mankind obviously, butan is like you know, uh, a
- 19:25Speaker 1: deity and and you know it's a well known deity
- 19:30Speaker 1: in our from India, right right, and rooted in a
- 19:34Speaker 1: lot of history and law, and so it's like, you know,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I just kind of just it was just a combination
- 19:39Speaker 1: of two things. And and so that's why when you
- 19:43Speaker 1: bring out that conversation, you know, people you know how
- 19:47Speaker 1: you know how it is when it comes to.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Certain people are faith. Yeah, here there's people who are
- 19:52Speaker 2: crazy faith, ye know. And then yeah, there's people are
- 19:55Speaker 2: kind of nonchalant about it.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Conservative side can get very very intense. Man.
- 19:59Speaker 2: You guys got your own servative side out there.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Absolutely, it's you know, at the end of it, like
- 20:04Speaker 1: it's a very human thing for sure. Right it's not
- 20:07Speaker 1: America and this is the world.
- 20:09Speaker 2: There's people who are very conservative, especially when it comes
- 20:12Speaker 2: to religion. And wherever country you're.
- 20:13Speaker 1: In, Yeah, it's assault man, Like it definitely. It can
- 20:17Speaker 1: you know, pull us back a lot. And I don't
- 20:22Speaker 1: know these things, these things, I guess they just take
- 20:24Speaker 1: time and it's just a natural occurrence because faith is
- 20:27Speaker 1: something that it's sometimes it's the only thing people have
- 20:31Speaker 1: get me, like when all else is failed. Because you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: the world's been going through a lot as I like
- 20:35Speaker 1: I see it in.
- 20:36Speaker 2: America, especially with the tariffs everywhere.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Man and that's affecting everybody.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Well, I mean, you guys are one of our biggest
- 20:42Speaker 2: trading partners.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And so.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'm trying to figure out what's going to happen.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder, Man, we don't know yet. I might
- 20:48Speaker 1: not be able to go into the country next time.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know if that's gonna happen.
- 20:51Speaker 2: But I mean, what do y'all. Y'all make a lot.
- 20:53Speaker 1: For us, A lot, man, I mean we make a
- 20:54Speaker 1: lot for the world. No, for sure.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's like one of the biggest like manufacturing countries in
- 20:58Speaker 2: the world. It's They'm near India and China.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Now That's what I was also saying is
- 21:03Speaker 1: that sometimes during all this, you know, people figuring out,
- 21:07Speaker 1: like we have the comfort of having these kind of conversations,
- 21:09Speaker 1: but a lot of people don't have that. All they
- 21:11Speaker 1: have is faith, Like when all else has failed them,
- 21:13Speaker 1: at least they know, oh, there's one thing that hasn't
- 21:16Speaker 1: and that's about that's kind of hard to like navigate around, right,
- 21:20Speaker 1: Because that's what you mean by like, oh, they're very
- 21:22Speaker 1: serious about.
- 21:23Speaker 2: This, because you know, that's the only thing you got.
- 21:25Speaker 1: When the world's let you down and you're like, oh,
- 21:27Speaker 1: but there's like I think someone's listening.
- 21:29Speaker 2: You know. It's inspiring too because you'll see people like,
- 21:32Speaker 2: you know, uh, shout out to everybody who's dealing with
- 21:35Speaker 2: what they're dealing with in Gaza. But to see like
- 21:38Speaker 2: those people go through this ship that they're going through
- 21:40Speaker 2: and still have the you know, the resolve to have
- 21:44Speaker 2: like a bright outlook on the end of it, and
- 21:46Speaker 2: it's like, man, like that's that's it's sad, but it's beautiful,
- 21:50Speaker 2: Like to see the people talk and like the kids
- 21:53Speaker 2: are still like in and it's just you know, it's heartbreaking,
- 21:55Speaker 2: it is.
- 21:56Speaker 1: But at the end of it, when you say kids,
- 21:58Speaker 1: there's just they still got to be kids, right. I
- 22:00Speaker 1: imagine going through that. Imagine what kind of what it
- 22:02Speaker 1: will build in those kids for in the future when
- 22:05Speaker 1: they're like in lifetime, losing people in front of them,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you know, and being treated that way, Like, how do
- 22:10Speaker 1: you think like that will affect them? Right? You got
- 22:13Speaker 1: his faith? This is just it's just it's terrible, man,
- 22:16Speaker 1: it's super just like.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it is, it's it's it's a it's a sad situation.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I mean yeah, you.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Know, yeah, hopefully they come to a conclusion as soon
- 22:25Speaker 1: as possible.
- 22:26Speaker 3: We're in a very crazy space in the world.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Man. Yeah, absolutely, yeah. So uh. The other guy who
- 22:33Speaker 2: is very very also a Texas guy, my boy Akash
- 22:38Speaker 2: from a Flagrant. He's he's done a great job of
- 22:41Speaker 2: using like stand up to kind of like showcase like
- 22:43Speaker 2: Indian culture. And there's one thing about you guys. You
- 22:46Speaker 2: guys got the wedding thing figured out, Like his wedding
- 22:50Speaker 2: is insane. And then he was like I was like
- 22:52Speaker 2: talked about it a little bit and he's like, it's
- 22:55Speaker 2: just like a like my wedding. He was like, my
- 22:57Speaker 2: wedding was like a middle of the road Indian wedding.
- 22:59Speaker 2: He's like Indian weddings like they don't funk around.
- 23:01Speaker 1: They like, I mean, if you're lucky enough, you have
- 23:04Speaker 1: a big wedding, right, And I think that that's what
- 23:07Speaker 1: they like. Families kind of look forward to the bringing
- 23:10Speaker 1: together a family. I think like there's a lot of family.
- 23:15Speaker 3: It's such a family oriented culture.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, which I feel like, you know, the Western world
- 23:19Speaker 2: has gotten away from you know.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I feel like that's what you'll find
- 23:25Speaker 1: it here and there, because you see huge weddings that
- 23:27Speaker 1: are out here too, right for sure, and it just depends.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It's just like once again, it's just more rooted into
- 23:34Speaker 1: the culture and traditions of folks no matter where, like north, south,
- 23:38Speaker 1: east west. So they go at it.
- 23:40Speaker 2: You know what, what what were your parents first thought
- 23:44Speaker 2: when you told them you wanted to do music?
- 23:47Speaker 1: The fuck is this?
- 23:48Speaker 2: Because I know Indian parents are pretty serious.
- 23:50Speaker 1: You know. I mean they can be definitely where my
- 23:53Speaker 1: parents are all school of shit. You know, I was
- 23:55Speaker 1: raised by the cane. But it was I mean at
- 24:00Speaker 1: first it's like, yeah, what the fuck is this? But
- 24:03Speaker 1: also it's like what are we going to do? Right?
- 24:06Speaker 1: I mean this guy at the end, they were kind
- 24:07Speaker 1: of just like if he sucks up, he sucks up. Man.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Like it worked out luckily because, like I said, I
- 24:12Speaker 1: think it's because, like I was, they had been able
- 24:14Speaker 1: to travel and see the world.
- 24:15Speaker 2: It's like full context.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm glad they didn't just cut me off. I
- 24:19Speaker 1: mean because it's like at the end of it, like
- 24:21Speaker 1: I would have still done what I was, what I
- 24:23Speaker 1: wanted to do, but you know it is it's for them.
- 24:27Speaker 1: It's like, you know, they don't understand it.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Right, right what uh? What kind of inspired like like
- 24:33Speaker 2: obviously growing up in Houston as an adolescent, like was
- 24:36Speaker 2: that what was was there any like what would you
- 24:38Speaker 2: say would be your biggest influences hip hop wise? That
- 24:40Speaker 2: kind of pushed you into the into the culture.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Of course, man, just like the music that was around
- 24:46Speaker 1: me at the time, Like when the city of Houston
- 24:48Speaker 1: as well. I think it's just a great place for
- 24:51Speaker 1: hip hop for sure, so the sounds of the South
- 24:53Speaker 1: as a whole, right, but also just like loving the
- 24:59Speaker 1: art woman going into like you know, just the music
- 25:02Speaker 1: of the nineties in the eighties and just like listening
- 25:05Speaker 1: to it properly, you know, and you get just like
- 25:07Speaker 1: kind of going into it with you know, whatever access
- 25:11Speaker 1: that we had back then, you know, with our dial
- 25:15Speaker 1: up internet and ship.
- 25:16Speaker 2: And what are what's some of your favorite albums ever?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Albums?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Man?
- 25:20Speaker 1: I mean A Madic is definitely up there right there,
- 25:23Speaker 1: Oh Fire beautiful. I Actually more than the albums, I
- 25:29Speaker 1: really like mixtapes. You remember when Chamellionaire was.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Putting mix changing Click Yeah, the mixtape Messiah is mixtape
- 25:37Speaker 2: MESSI Bro.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Chamillionaire's mixtape Run was so crazy good.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Chamellionaire And when we talk about Houston because I know
- 25:43Speaker 2: he's kind of stepped back and he's an investor now,
- 25:45Speaker 2: but I feel like we got it, Like he's one
- 25:47Speaker 2: of them one if.
- 25:48Speaker 1: He that baller wrap that he was just so good at. Man,
- 25:52Speaker 1: it was just amazing. That's that's kind of shit that
- 25:54Speaker 1: was around, you know. And then also like low Wayne
- 25:56Speaker 1: when he's dropping all of his mixtapes too, there's like
- 25:58Speaker 1: a great time for mixtapes, man, just music.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Mixtape era of music was just crazy.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Man just had people worried what song it was
- 26:04Speaker 1: gonna hop on, you know, like just destroy people.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But yeah, no, Wayne, I feel like there's like songs
- 26:10Speaker 2: that Wayne just took, like on the No Ceiling Ship,
- 26:13Speaker 2: where it's like you can't hear the normal version of
- 26:16Speaker 2: the song anymore, and I'd be like, yeah, but the
- 26:18Speaker 2: Wayne version.
- 26:18Speaker 1: There's still like versions of which I just was just like,
- 26:21Speaker 1: this is the only version I know, And randomly the
- 26:23Speaker 1: actual original song.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Like the swag Swag Surfing like kind of came back.
- 26:27Speaker 2: But I'm like, I just want to hear the Wayne
- 26:28Speaker 2: swag swag surfan is great.
- 26:31Speaker 1: But like, yeah, that was great, man, I want.
- 26:33Speaker 2: To hear the No Ceilings freestyle.
- 26:34Speaker 1: M Yeah, for sure.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Was was for you, like the you you kind of
- 26:42Speaker 2: paid homage to Project Pad a bit with your flow
- 26:45Speaker 2: on Big Dogs. Yeah, what was that because you guys
- 26:50Speaker 2: you guys have had communication obviously, absolutely man, that I mean,
- 26:54Speaker 2: I thought that was cool because it's it was you.
- 26:56Speaker 2: You like did his flow perfectly on like a world's scale,
- 27:00Speaker 2: and like Project Pat's one of the most underrated artists
- 27:02Speaker 2: of like MC's ever.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Like yeah, but so it's like so impactful man, for sure. Everywhere. Man,
- 27:08Speaker 1: Now it's type Man. I'm like, we're you know, we're
- 27:11Speaker 1: we in touch and we you know, we're working on things,
- 27:13Speaker 1: which which I think is amazing. I think actually three
- 27:16Speaker 1: six Mafia is playing Coachella.
- 27:18Speaker 2: They are they are yeah three six at coch.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's going to be an interesting thing just
- 27:24Speaker 1: to be able to see him, man. And it's very cool, bro,
- 27:27Speaker 1: because I think I had to do it right because
- 27:29Speaker 1: that's what came naturally to the song when I was
- 27:31Speaker 1: making it, that kind of flow, and then it was
- 27:33Speaker 1: just like at the end of it, it's like got
- 27:36Speaker 1: to shout them out, man, Like I literally have it
- 27:38Speaker 1: inside the song because it's just it's only right, you know.
- 27:42Speaker 2: For sure.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, just to impact of hip hop, man, for sure.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Music at the times, bro, Like three six Mafia was
- 27:48Speaker 1: so big at the time when we were listening to music. Man.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So, how excited you about Coachella. It's gonna be.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Crazy shit, man, Yeah, I'm excited. You can see it.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I mean it's one of those things. First show in
- 27:58Speaker 1: America is that. Oh so we're gonna go.
- 28:01Speaker 2: And do that's crazy, that's your first show in America.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Yeah, what the fuck? I'm feeling it. Might as well
- 28:05Speaker 1: go big, go hard to go home, and I'm not home,
- 28:08Speaker 1: so you gotta go hard.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Man. Do you have any any any special plans for
- 28:13Speaker 2: your set, any anything like anything, Like.
- 28:16Speaker 1: You know, we got we got some things lined up,
- 28:18Speaker 1: like especially you know, when we're coming from there, we
- 28:23Speaker 1: want to bring some ideas and and and sounds from
- 28:26Speaker 1: that side of the world. But I got some folks
- 28:28Speaker 1: that I want to also bring up from this side
- 28:29Speaker 1: of the world and showcase and just like you know,
- 28:33Speaker 1: kind of just bring wells together. Man. Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I saw your set in Thailand and you killed it.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And like people don't realize, like Thailand is like there's
- 28:42Speaker 2: like a lot of people from India and Thailand. Yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 2: very much, like right there, so like you were you
- 28:48Speaker 2: had a like people were fucking with you in the
- 28:50Speaker 2: crowd there, Like I was out in the crowd the
- 28:51Speaker 2: highest fuck watching your ship.
- 28:53Speaker 1: So I appreciate it. Man, it was fun. Thailand was tight,
- 28:55Speaker 1: you know, for more reasons, and that's the show was.
- 28:58Speaker 2: No, it's beautiful.
- 28:59Speaker 1: It's amazingat I mean some of the best food absolutely,
- 29:02Speaker 1: and people are.
- 29:03Speaker 2: So so yeah, dude, the best thing about Thailand is
- 29:05Speaker 2: like the street food, like yeah, absolutely by like that.
- 29:08Speaker 2: It's so cheap, like it's it's the best, just delicious man.
- 29:13Speaker 3: You you guys are known for your street food.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, is what.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Is like the go to uh if I'm if I
- 29:20Speaker 2: go to India for the first time.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Depends on where in India though, Okay, like where your
- 29:24Speaker 1: food like from Keralin like a like a bottom booty
- 29:29Speaker 1: which is like I don't know, like the banana fritters,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and there's like there's also like things obviously you hear about,
- 29:36Speaker 1: like whether it's like a samosa or whether there's like
- 29:38Speaker 1: there's like it just depends on where you look. But
- 29:41Speaker 1: if you're going to like South India to be like that,
- 29:44Speaker 1: what else from Karalin. Oh, but Shot is in South
- 29:47Speaker 1: Indian man is it? Yeah? But Shot is also like
- 29:51Speaker 1: it's like just like quick easy, you know, food that
- 29:56Speaker 1: they'll quickly make.
- 29:57Speaker 3: But it's these guys go viral on TikTok.
- 29:59Speaker 1: They yeah, yeah, it's for better or for worse.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I mean it looks fire.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I see it, man, you should. You know,
- 30:08Speaker 1: when you come down, I'll introduce you some good spots.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Are you working on an album, working on a mixtape?
- 30:14Speaker 2: Mixtape?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:16Speaker 2: How many? First of all, how how far into the
- 30:18Speaker 2: process are you using it?
- 30:19Speaker 1: We're pretty close to finishing it, you know. I'm just
- 30:21Speaker 1: like adding little touches and stuff and figuring out how
- 30:24Speaker 1: to go about it. It's my first like project that
- 30:26Speaker 1: I'm doing like this, so you know, I'm trying to features.
- 30:31Speaker 2: You get still waiting on something to come over.
- 30:33Speaker 1: The I do? Yes, yeah, absolutely, yeah everything. You know
- 30:36Speaker 1: how it is when you're making these kind of things, bro.
- 30:38Speaker 2: It's like, damn, well, will they send this back in
- 30:40Speaker 2: time to make the album?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Especially because I'm like the time difference is like eleven
- 30:45Speaker 1: and a half hours. It's like completely the opposite time.
- 30:47Speaker 1: So but it's just like communication once.
- 30:50Speaker 2: You cross that to that side of the world. You
- 30:52Speaker 2: don't realize like, oh, it's already tomorrow. Yeah, if you're
- 30:55Speaker 2: in the like us, it's tomorrow. So when we fly here,
- 30:58Speaker 2: we actually like gain a whole gain a day. Yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 2: it's it's it's kind of nuts.
- 31:03Speaker 3: But when you go out there, you're you. When you
- 31:04Speaker 3: go back home, you lose a whole day.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Bro, It's nuts. Like we leave on the fifth and
- 31:08Speaker 1: all of a sudden, it's the seventh insane. It's so
- 31:11Speaker 1: it's so weird, man. And then like again, the amount
- 31:14Speaker 1: of time that it takes you to get out of
- 31:15Speaker 1: this jet lag.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'm just the jet lag is what I have. You
- 31:18Speaker 2: real fucked up.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Man, I'm sure you felt that after Thailand too, right.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Dude, going there. I was there for like twelve days
- 31:24Speaker 2: because I had some business with Wiz out there before
- 31:27Speaker 2: rolling Loud, and it took me two days to just
- 31:31Speaker 2: like adjust to the sun being.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Out, glibrate yeah, and be like all right, cool now
- 31:36Speaker 1: I can like yeah, I can work out, you know,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I can go eat and like I was just in
- 31:41Speaker 1: the room dog like fuck, I know, man, I know
- 31:44Speaker 1: that's what that's. I came straight from the room over
- 31:46Speaker 1: here brother.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Oh well, I ain't mad at it, man, And any
- 31:50Speaker 2: any idea when the I'm gonna er when your mixtape
- 31:52Speaker 2: is gonna drop for the end of the year, i'.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Assument absolutely yeah. Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Do you already have other videos shot? Because it's no,
- 32:01Speaker 2: you don't fuck around with these videos.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Ain't like you just yeah, but we're working on it.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, you got the concepts, you got the vision boards
- 32:07Speaker 2: and all that.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I see. Actually, when you come down to this kind
- 32:09Speaker 1: of stuff, you don't sit with like it's whatever comes
- 32:12Speaker 1: at the moment. Man. A lot of it just comes.
- 32:17Speaker 1: You know, the song will be ready and we'll be
- 32:18Speaker 1: sitting with it. But it's only when you really intently,
- 32:21Speaker 1: kind of intentionally go after an idea for it that
- 32:25Speaker 1: it comes.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Would you ever do movies?
- 32:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like you, I mean yeah, or direct
- 32:33Speaker 2: someone else's video.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I've been in these headspaces and conversations for for some time, man.
- 32:39Speaker 1: But also it's like one of those things where I'm
- 32:41Speaker 1: just like, I'm just at the space of just like
- 32:44Speaker 1: when it comes to music, to just figuring this out.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But I think these things also come naturally with it.
- 32:49Speaker 1: It's art at the end of it.
- 32:50Speaker 2: So for sure, what was it like linga will rocky
- 32:52Speaker 2: and that had to be kind of cool, also insane, visionary, amazing.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Yeah, initially we were talking about doing a video when
- 32:59Speaker 1: we had had conversations in the beginning, but also we
- 33:02Speaker 1: just knew with the time and everything, it just wasn't.
- 33:05Speaker 2: And around that time, I think he was kind of
- 33:07Speaker 2: the thick of his thing, you know.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Yeah. It's also like the song had been out for
- 33:10Speaker 1: a long time, so it's like, we shoot a video
- 33:13Speaker 1: will take time as.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Well, right, so it's like by the time the video,
- 33:16Speaker 2: I mean exactly, it's.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Like then it's like, bro, what is this big Dog song? Bro?
- 33:21Speaker 2: Right?
- 33:21Speaker 1: Tired of it?
- 33:22Speaker 2: Also, like, you know what I loved about this about
- 33:24Speaker 2: your about Big Dogs was it was like an untraditionally
- 33:28Speaker 2: structured song.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Yeah, very much.
- 33:29Speaker 3: So it was like you heard the intro.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, the intro, but like the song is like it's
- 33:36Speaker 2: like it's it's just a thing, like it's it's not
- 33:39Speaker 2: like a traditionally structured record.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's my perception of music.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Which is which is I think is incredible because it's
- 33:45Speaker 2: like you know, the it reshapes. I feel like there's
- 33:49Speaker 2: certain records like that that like reshape what like a
- 33:51Speaker 2: hit could be.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, man, because you know that intro bit
- 33:56Speaker 1: when you you know of the song is what people
- 33:58Speaker 1: think is the hook. That's not the hook, right, The
- 34:00Speaker 1: hook is later in the song, and people usually like
- 34:02Speaker 1: ye up with the hook first, and.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Yeah, like Doci's Denial is a River is like an
- 34:06Speaker 2: example of a song that's like such a big hit,
- 34:08Speaker 2: but there's it's just a dope record stuff.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeaheah. Absolutely.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Is there anybody anybody you'd like to work with in
- 34:14Speaker 2: the States that you haven't been able to connect with
- 34:16Speaker 2: quite yet that you're just a fan of, just you know,
- 34:18Speaker 2: just like, man, I really appreciate what you got going on.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there's quite a few, man. Doci's one
- 34:23Speaker 1: of them. I think she's amazing.
- 34:24Speaker 2: She's fucking fire.
- 34:26Speaker 1: You know. There's some who I have been in touch with,
- 34:28Speaker 1: like a Jid or del Carraz. Yeah, yeah, amazing, man.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I can't wait to hear his album.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, he's yeah, he's always cooking man. Yeah, he's
- 34:39Speaker 1: so good poet for sure. Yeah, and this is a lot, man.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'm just I think it's a it's such a cool
- 34:44Speaker 1: space for music, you know, as a whole over here
- 34:48Speaker 1: and just seeing it from now outside, Like I mean,
- 34:50Speaker 1: now we have access to everything, right, so it's like
- 34:52Speaker 1: everyone's paying attention, and it's just about trying things out. Man,
- 34:56Speaker 1: I'm what to it?
- 34:57Speaker 2: What is the general consensus? I'm just curious for our
- 35:04Speaker 2: politics out here over there.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I mean, look, I mean I think this is just
- 35:10Speaker 1: I mean my perception of it, right, And I'm not
- 35:12Speaker 1: like a politician.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Right right, right, I'm just curious, like what the like
- 35:15Speaker 2: what folks over there are thinking about? What the fuck
- 35:17Speaker 2: we got going on over here?
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah? No, because I think because of the way that
- 35:21Speaker 1: America is positioned, right, y'all are like, for better or
- 35:26Speaker 1: for worse, y'all are like the leader of the free world, right,
- 35:28Speaker 1: and you know this right has developed over time and right,
- 35:32Speaker 1: you know, conquering and being who you are. Right. But
- 35:34Speaker 1: then because of that, whether it's India or anybody else,
- 35:38Speaker 1: everybody's watching. They won't like Indian politics are going on,
- 35:41Speaker 1: Japanese politics are going on, China everything, But y'all, no
- 35:44Speaker 1: one's really paying attention like they're paying attention to America.
- 35:48Speaker 2: For sure.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I think y'all need to be very aware of that.
- 35:50Speaker 2: And we're the number one consuming country of goods. But
- 35:54Speaker 2: like you said, it's like people are paying attention to
- 35:57Speaker 2: what we're doing, and like when we do certain things,
- 36:00Speaker 2: it's when you start having countries pushed together together like bricks,
- 36:03Speaker 2: you you know, and it's like it.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Is you got to understand, right because and typically when
- 36:10Speaker 1: you think about when you think about civilizations in the past, right,
- 36:15Speaker 1: all the great ones at the end, they'll get to
- 36:16Speaker 1: the top, and they're the ones their only downfall.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Is themselves themselves.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Right when they don't have other enemies to go against
- 36:25Speaker 1: our other issues, you start looking inwards and you eat
- 36:28Speaker 1: yourself alive. Right, Actually, y'all have it amazingly good. Like
- 36:32Speaker 1: we come from third world countries outside and you see
- 36:35Speaker 1: how amazing like things can be. Right, but then you
- 36:38Speaker 1: look at it and then and it's crazy dramatic, like
- 36:41Speaker 1: of course it's also entertaining, right, you know, I mean,
- 36:43Speaker 1: see what's going on, and it's this is grab popcorn eating.
- 36:47Speaker 2: But you have like we go from like a guy's
- 36:48Speaker 2: like half dead and finding a genocide to a guy
- 36:51Speaker 2: who's you know, wants to finish the genocide and it's
- 36:53Speaker 2: all bright orange.
- 36:53Speaker 1: You know, it's a free Palestine man I'm just saying, like,
- 36:56Speaker 1: at the end of it, right, you think about you
- 36:59Speaker 1: think about it, and it's not I don't think it's
- 37:03Speaker 1: just an Indian thing. I think everyone's just viewing it
- 37:06Speaker 1: and just being like there's a lot going on. And
- 37:09Speaker 1: also like y'all have a ripple effect because everything, like
- 37:11Speaker 1: you're saying, with the tariffs and everything, everything is like
- 37:13Speaker 1: affected afterwards. So we'll see, yes, I mean, and we
- 37:18Speaker 1: will see too, like we watch everybody watch.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Its like we're the fucking and like it's season one
- 37:24Speaker 2: of succession.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah, at the end, y'all got to realize. And I
- 37:27Speaker 1: think this applies to even my country too. Yeah, we're
- 37:30Speaker 1: on the like we're on the same team. Like we go.
- 37:33Speaker 1: It's at the end of it, it's just the poor
- 37:35Speaker 1: and the rich. You must understand that, Like it's just class.
- 37:38Speaker 1: It's just a class thing, right, and they everything else
- 37:41Speaker 1: is just it's all farce. It's just ship that they're
- 37:44Speaker 1: trying to make. Like Okay, there you go, this is
- 37:46Speaker 1: going on. Yeah, they're creating a lot's going on.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah, sat a lot of stuff to divide classes. But
- 37:51Speaker 2: they don't make them think they're being divided by classes
- 37:53Speaker 2: that make them think that they're being divided by identity ship.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I mean, if you point hard enough, the eyes will focus.
- 37:58Speaker 1: But then there's like fingers that are pointing back. Man.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It's just you must understand this. But again, this is
- 38:04Speaker 1: like it's not like we have it amazing on that side.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Like everybody, everybody's got their own problems, brother, and like,
- 38:12Speaker 1: you know, we will figure this out for sure.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I hope, so, man, I hope. So new mixtape on
- 38:18Speaker 2: the way Coachella the next two weekends. You're going to
- 38:21Speaker 2: be holding it down to Coachella. Uh. The new record
- 38:24Speaker 2: is insane, video's crazy.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Appreciate you, my brother.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah, keep up, keep up the good work, bro, You're
- 38:30Speaker 2: killing it.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And thank you, bro, you're killing it to better. You know,
- 38:33Speaker 1: we're keeping the eyes in.
- 38:35Speaker 2: But yeah, I need to tap in with some more
- 38:37Speaker 2: Indian mcs too.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Hey man, there's a lot more. They're just so good homies.
- 38:42Speaker 2: He's uh, you know he helps with mass Appeal and
- 38:46Speaker 2: uh yeah, there's a I know mass Appeal has his
- 38:49Speaker 2: footprint out there.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Massive man. I mean, I'm sure you hear the like
- 38:52Speaker 1: divine and you know there's there's something that's directly you
- 38:56Speaker 1: don't work with mass appeal. There's just some incredible talent
- 38:59Speaker 1: out there.
- 38:59Speaker 2: For sure, and hip hop massive, I mean hip hop
- 39:02Speaker 2: massive everywhere right.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Shout out to they se hip hop to Indian hip hop. Man,
- 39:05Speaker 1: there's just a lot of very very cool artists that
- 39:08Speaker 1: are coming on the way over there. Man, tap in,
- 39:10Speaker 1: you do have to tap in, But I mean there's
- 39:12Speaker 1: so many names that if I get started, I won't
- 39:14Speaker 1: be able to stop for sure.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Well, I appreciate you pulling
- 39:16Speaker 1: Up, bro, appreciate your having boom every brother fire
