- Craig: The waiver wire is where your league could be won or lost. This week we've got some hidden gems that we're talking about, so stay tuned. Welcome back to the kitchen here on Fat Daddy Sports. Today we are talking about week three waiver wire finds. This is where your league can absolutely be lost or could be won, depending on who you pick up, depending on how much fab you're willing to spend or what waiver priority you're willing to spend on these guys. This week, I think there's some really good, I don't know if there's any league winners out there, but there's some definite guys that I would be going after. Without further ado, let's jump into it. We will start at the Quarterback position. We will start in Carolina with Bryce Young. ⁓ you can see here only 42% roster owned, and he has been tearing it up. Currently, the quarterback number two in six-point passing touchdown leagues. ⁓ he has been dominant. You can see right here, week one, 32.44 points, number or week number two, 24.8. A little bit of a dip last week, but The attempts are still there. 37 and 36. ⁓ the touchdowns three and three. I mean, he has been tearing it up as of late. He is definitely a top guy that I am looking for if I need a quarterback play. I am buying the hype on Bryce Young. I was very skeptical after week one, but man, he went out and did it again against Atlanta. I know not the toughest defense in Chicago, probably not the best defense either. But he gets Cleveland in week three. And then week four, he gets Detroit, who has been torched so far this year and has just racked up some more injuries. I think Bryce Young is off to a very good start and definitely needs to be owned. Another guy that needs to be owned is Malik Willis in Miami. We talked about him last week. You can see here still only 30% rostered. ⁓ not the biggest number so far, but I think better days are ahead. Maybe not these next three games: Kansas City, Minnesota, Cincinnati. Those are Probably three very tough defenses to play against, but Miami's gonna be down a boatload of points in all of those games. You gotta think the attempts are gonna come up. ⁓ 27 and 23 attempts, I think he's gonna be closer to that 30 or over 30. I think the rushing attempts are going to go up as the year goes on. And I think that this is kind of his floor. Is that around that 15 point mark? ⁓ if he can get a touchdown or two, I think that will obviously bolster his numbers. Maybe I'm not running out to get Malik Willis, but he's one of those guys that you wait and see if he clears waivers tomorrow. Maybe you can pick him up for free. Keep an eye on Malik Willis. The next quarterback that I am talking about, this may be your last chance to go out and get him. I've been screaming about him ⁓ for weeks now. And it's Tyler Shuck in New Orleans. You can see right now, 49% rostered. This is the last week that we will be talking about him because once you hit that 50% mark, we really don't talk about you much anymore. ⁓ But right now he is available in over half of sleeper leagues. Tyler Shuck, currently the quarterback five on the season right now, 25.2 and 22.38 ⁓ in week two. The attempts are off the charts. 56 in week one in that overtime thriller, and then 34 this week, 27 of 34. ⁓ he was something like 12 of 14 in the fourth quarter. I mean, he was lights out in the fourth quarter on Sunday. I think ⁓ a lot is going to continue there. Las Vegas, Atlanta, you certainly like them in both of those games. And then Minnesota could be a very, very good game. Tough defense, but I think that that could be a close game. And then the Giants, that could be an absolute shootout. So I think Tyler Shuck moving forward stays in that top 10 ⁓ quarterback position. The next guy we're talking about is due to injury to Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels obviously had that dislocated elbow. ⁓ so we're picking up Marcus Mariota if we are in an absolute pinch and need a quarterback. Maybe you're in a deeper league, a two quarterback league, super flex, ⁓ whatever it is. Marcus Mariota could provide some good value. He came in yesterday, went eleven of sixteen, a hundred and eleven yards and a touchdown. ⁓ but in his in in the past, he has provided some decent numbers. I mean, twenty seventeen last year, ⁓ about fourteen, eighteen, sixteen, twenty four. I mean, he obviously puts up some duds every once in a while, but ⁓ if you are in a two-quarterback league, you know that that waiver wire is very thin. Another guy to keep an eye on if you are in dire need is Tyson Bajent in Chicago. ⁓ the Bears came out and said that Caleb Williams' injury is maybe not as major as we thought it was. That there's a chance he even plays in week three. I don't think they're gonna rush him back. I can see him missing a game. ⁓ Tyson Bajant is the next guy in line there in Chicago. If you're in need of a quarterback, maybe you lost Caleb Williams and you need maybe just a one-week flyer. I think Tyson Bajent provides very good stability at that quarterback position in what should be a very good offense. I know this week was a little bit of a dud for them, only three points ⁓ for the Bears, but they were also playing in a hurricane. It was a weird, tough divisional game. I think better days are ahead, and I think Tyson Bajent is a pretty good quarterback option. And then the last quarterback that we are talking about today is in Minnesota. Carson Wentz has been filling in for Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray is set to come back, I believe, this week from his concussion. I was pretty high on Kyler early in this season or in the draft process. I think with Justin Jefferson there and some of those other playmakers, whoever the quarterback is, is going to provide some value. So whether it's Wentz, whether it's Murray, just keep an eye on that and pick up whichever one. You see Kyler Murray here is still only 44% owned. So you should be able to go out and get him. The guy who is technically too good for this list, ⁓ he's 64% owned right now, and that is Kalon Black in San Francisco. If you are in a league where he's available, you absolutely need to go get him. We said that after week one. His ownership skyrocketed after that week. And now in week two, he's proven to be even more of an asset. 43% of the snaps in week one. That number took a little bit of a dip in week two with the groin issue and with San Francisco kind of having that game in hand against Miami. San Francisco has come out and said that they want to spell Christian McCaffrey some of those touches this year. They want Kalon Black to be involved. Christian McCaffrey himself has said that they're going to utilize Kalon Black as the year goes on. He needs to be owned. Another guy that we'll talk about, and I'm a little bit leery on this whole situation, just because this whole backfield is a mess right now. But Caleb Johnson did lead the Packers yesterday in rushing attempts. Marshawn Lloyd has looked terrible. ⁓ and Caleb Johnson got his crack at it yesterday, and he did a pretty good job with his limited attempts. Eight carries, 32 yards, ⁓ played 27% of the snaps. He led the ground attack there for Green Bay. in week three or week two. I don't know that I'm running out to get him. If you're in a deeper league, you need a desperation play. You need a running back for your bench, maybe. Maybe he's a stash. you could grab him. I mean, they did go out and trade for him. He was getting first team reps. And now he leads their team in week two. The next running back that we're talking about is in Philadelphia. Saquon Barkley got banged up in week two. I think maybe even his first carry, got a stinger in his neck, came back out with a neck roll, but really didn't Contribute a whole lot in the second half. I think he only had one one snap in the fourth quarter. Tank Bigsby kind of filled in for him and he looked like an absolute animal out there. He is very hard to tackle and to bring down. If Saquon misses any time, I think Tank Bigsby slides right into that running back to discussion, no problems. Probably a high end or RB two as well. ⁓ he is only owned right now in 29% of leagues. You see, yesterday he carried 13 times for 33 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles. He's obviously on a good team, a good offense, should be able to move the ball. The only question is that short yardage situation. They're gonna lean on the tush push. ⁓ but I still think that Tank Bigsby is a very valuable RB2 if Saquon misses any time. And then right there, along with Bigsby, is his running back mate, Will Shipley. If you're in a deeper league, you need a flex play, Will Shipley. Zero percent roster. He's out there in your league. Go out and scoop him up if Saquon misses any time. The next guy is out in Seattle. ⁓ this was a backfield that I was very leery on. It's just a running back by committee, but the rookie Judarian Price did get banged up. Shoulder injury. Mike McDonald ⁓ is kind of murky about the whole thing. He says it looks like it's okay. He didn't really do a whole lot of damage. I don't think. ⁓ I don't know. The whole thing just seems very fishy to me. But nonetheless, Emmanuel Wilson got a lot of run in this game this weekend. ⁓ you can see right here, 21 carries, 92 yards. He was targeted one time in the past game, but they didn't connect on it. George Helani didn't seem to really get that bump up. It was Emmanuel Wilson that they leaned on. If he's out there in your league, which you can see here, 3% roster, he should be available in your league. You definitely need to keep an eye on him if you're in a super flex league. A league that allows you to start two flex players. The next guy on the list I did not have on my bingo card for talking about in 2026, but it is Elvin Kamara for the New Orleans Saints. Travis Achan is not somebody that I am trusting to put in my lineup right now. For whatever reason, they do not want to give him the rock. In week one, we saw Kendra Miller come from the grave and kind of steal some carries, out carry Travis Achan there for a long portion of that game. And then in week two, Elvin Camara, straight off of his injury, comes into the lineup. You can see here he gets nine carries, only does 15 yards with that, but he does get involved in the pass game. Six targets, five catches, only seven yards. Now he wasn't ultra productive with his opportunities, but he was involved, and that's ⁓ what you want to see. I think better days are ahead for Camara, and I think he's gonna continue to eat into that workload of Travis H and If you're in a deeper league, he should be available. ⁓ this number kind of surprises me a little bit. 44% rostered. I can't believe that he's rostered in that many leagues. But if he's out there in your league, go grab him. He will be involved for what should be a very fun offense. And the last guy that we're going to talk about at the running back position, this is the big one. This is the exciting one. And it is Jonah Coleman, rookie running back for the Denver Broncos. Talked about him previously leading up to week two. ⁓ With J.K. Dobbins kind of banged up, RJ Harvey. Sorry, RJ Harvey was banged up leading into that game. And I said that this could be the crease that Jonah Coleman needed. Obviously, J.K. Dobbins got banged up with a hamstring issue in that game as well. So now Dobbins and Harvey are both out with hamstring issues or look like they're gonna miss some time with those hamstring issues. Jonah Coleman got the nod in this game and he did not disappoint. Looked very, very good. 10 carries, 39 yards, and a touchdown. Kind of sealed the deal for them down the stretch. ⁓ as they were coming back in this game, Jonah Coleman looked very, very good. He is definitely a top priority pickup this week off the waiver wire. We'll jump over to the wide receiver position now. We'll look at a few guys that are above 50% owned, ⁓ just because they played some pretty big roles for their teams and they're not owned in really like a ton of leagues. So I want to make sure. That I mentioned them briefly. Romeo Dobbs, 65% rostered. ⁓ he had some looks this weekend from Drake May. Really, that Patriots offense scares me and they don't look great. I wouldn't rush out to get Dobbs, but if you're in a deeper league and you need a receiver, go out and grab Dobbs. These next two guys are kind of out of necessity. We saw DJ Moore get banged up. I'm not sure if he'll be back this week yet or not. ⁓ but if he does miss some time, Khalil Shakir could get a bump. ⁓ in that game on Thursday night last week, he saw six targets. Really, both games he's seen six targets, three catches, thirty-eight yards. I don't know if I'm a huge truther in that. I think that Dalton Kincaid will get a bump. And then we saw Keon Coleman get a big bump on Thursday night. He looked like Randy Moss out there against a terrible Lions defense. Six catches on six targets for sixty-three yards. Did not get into the end zone, but I I think that they'll lean more on Keon Coleman than they will Khalil Shakir. If either of those guys are out there in your league, which they should be, you see ⁓ Coleman is 5% rostered right now, 64% for Shakir. If those guys are available, go out and grab them. All right, next up we've got a trio of Colts wide receivers. Alec Pierce went out with a heel injury in the game against Kansas City this week, and they turned to some ⁓ Familiar and unfamiliar faces there. Josh Downs currently owned in 76% of leagues. He got nine targets in that game against Kansas City. I think that he could be very valuable down the stretch. ⁓ really, the guy that saw the big bump after Pierce went out was Lac Laquan Treadwell. ⁓ only three targets, but he did play 74% of the snaps. I think with Pierce out, Treadwell will see a huge uptick in snap share and probably route participation. And then obviously the old man Keenan Allen was out there another five targets for him to go with his six in week one. Didn't really do a whole lot. He had guys draped all over him all night long there in Kansas City, but he could be a valuable piece going forward if you need a wide receiver. And then one more guy that is owned in way more than 50% of leagues and probably needs to be owned in a lot more, and that's Devon Vale. The first week of the season was not an accident. He went out in week one, nine targets, seven catches, 69 yards, and a touchdown. He backed that up with seven targets, five catches and sixty-four yards for eleven point four points. Maybe not a huge week and maybe not a huge target guy, but Chris Olave is elite. He's going to draw a lot of coverage over on his side of the ball. Devon Vele should be able to work in some open space. And this is an offense that likes to throw the ball. ⁓ if you need a wide receiver, Devon Bailey could fit that bill easily. Wide receiver that we talked about in Baltimore this week with Zay Flowers being out, Jacoby Lane being out, Rashad Bateman took advantage of his opportunities. He has only owned in 25% of leagues right now. He saw nine targets from Lamar Jackson. This is an offense I want pieces of. And just like we thought coming into the season, Khalif Raymond is going to lead this Chicago offense in targets and catches and yardage. You name it. Khalif Raymond, wide receiver one, book market. ⁓ not at all what we were talking about, but it's what is the reality right now in Chicago. It's a mess. But if you're in a deeper league, like I'm in a dynasty league, the where the waiver wire is very limited. Khalif Raymond was out there after week one, and I was able to scoop him up, had another five catches on five targets for 40 yards in week two. Who knows? Maybe he's gonna fall off the face of the earth, but right now he probably needs to be owned. Out to Cleveland, the exciting rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston had another big touchdown, ⁓ 55 yards, I think it was in week two. ⁓ seven targets this week, five catches, ninety-five yards, and that touchdown that we talked about. He just continues to improve. Currently only owned in 43% of leagues, should be well over 50 after the waivers run this week. Definitely use a top priority on Denzel Wall, Denzel Boston. I almost said Denzel Washington. Next up is Trey Tucker in Las Vegas. Had a good week two. ⁓ this one I'm a little bit more hesitant on. I would not run out and spend all of my fab or my priority pick on him. ⁓ in week two, saw seven targets, five catches, 119 yards, and a touchdown for 22.9 points. Got to remember Brock Bowers is coming back for this offense. He's gonna eat up a lot of the targets. I really don't trust any of the wide receivers there a whole lot. Out to New York for the Jets, Adnai Mitchell had a nice week too, twelve targets, six catches, and sixty-three yards. I still think Garrett Wilson is the absolute target hog in this ⁓ offense. It was a very wet game against Green Bay. I think Green Bay just tried to shut down Wilson with everything they had, and it left Adnai Mitchell out there, but certainly a very top prospect coming out of college, out of Texas a couple of years ago. And really hasn't shown that breakout yet. Maybe yesterday was the start of that breakout. ⁓ if you're in need of a wide receiver in a deep league, Adnai Mitchell could be somebody, but I wouldn't spend a whole lot on him. And then another guy that we talked about last week, and it's Malik Washington for the Miami Dolphins. ⁓ saw another five c targets yesterday, four catches, forty three yards. That's just gonna be the reality of this Miami team. They're gonna be up, they're gonna be down. ⁓ he's not really somebody that I'm Running to the waiver wire for the wide receiver two in Philadelphia is not Mikai Lemon. It is Dontavian Wicks. Saw another six targets, five catches, seventy-four yards yesterday for the Eagles as they made that big comeback on the road at Tennessee. Dontavian Wicks seems to be playing in that wide receiver two role there for Philadelphia. And the last guy that we are going to talk about is somebody that is an absolute stash. I'm not really sure when he's coming back. He was put on IR at the beginning of the year, not eligible until week five to come off of that. But we've already seen two wide receivers in Dis Dejan Stribling and Demarcus Robinson go down for this 49ers team. Not really sure what it's gonna look like. They've got Mike Evans, who also got banged up this past week, and Debo Samuel. So some age, some injury concerns there. Christian Kirk coming back from the calf sprain. He could be a valuable piece down the stretch for this 49ers offense. ⁓ he's only on a one year deal, so I don't think that they'll like slow roll him back. I think once he's pretty much good to go, they're gonna throw him out there just because they need him. He could be a good stash. And last but not least, we'll go over to the tight end position. This is a guy that I've been yelling about for the last couple weeks, and I don't see a whole lot of people talking about him, but it's TJ Hawkinson for the Minnesota Vikings. Forty-seven percent rostered. We'll see what his role transitions to once Kyler Murray is back in there at the quarterback. But through two games, I mean he's got five targets, four catches, four targets, three catches. ⁓ he's got a touchdown in week one, kind of a quiet week two, but I mean he's being involved out there. And I think that that number may go up with Kyler Murray in at quarterback. Talking about your guy Dalton Schultz, I snagged him in my league on Sunday morning, threw him into the starting lineup to take over for Brock Bowers, and he did not disappoint. Holy cow. ⁓ with Nico Collins out, he saw 14 targets, 12 catches, 140 yards, 26 points in PPR. A lot of those came on their last drive or two in garbage time, but it doesn't matter. He got the targets, he got the points, and that's all that matters for our fantasy football lineups. Dalton Schultz playing about 68% of the snaps through two weeks. He's got a ton of targets. He's gonna continue to be involved in this offense. Please go out and get him. He is only owned in 45% of leagues. That number needs to skyrocket after this week. Out to Pittsburgh, Pat Fryermouth has been one of Aaron Rodgers' top targets through two games. ⁓ he had five targets in both ⁓ week one and week two, five catches and four catches, 32 yards this past week. He's being involved. He's out there about 70% of the snaps. He's a guy that Aaron Rodgers is looking for, especially with Michael Pittman now banged up. ⁓ If you're desperate for a tight end play out to this Chargers offense, this is an offense that so disappointing. They just look absolutely lost right now. But they did lose David Njoku for some time. in Orande, Gadston stepped in. He was able to reel in two of his two targets, put up eighteen yards and caught a touchdown. He could be valuable moving forward, but right now I'm kind of staying away from this Chargers offense. I was very in on them, but Herbert has looked lost. The entire offense has looked lost. And I'm just kind of pumping the brakes a little bit on them. So the last guy that we're going to talk about is Darren Waller. I've kind of knocked him a little bit, but man, he is scoring left and right. ⁓ had a touchdown that got called back in week one. His numbers would be even higher right now. He's currently a top 10 tight end in sleeper. ⁓ PPR formats, 9% rostered. He saw three targets yesterday, caught all three of them for 33 yards and had two touchdowns. They definitely look to him in the red zone. And this is an offense right now that is getting in the red zone a lot. That's all I've got for you guys today. ⁓ hit those waiver wires. Make sure that you get all of your bids in today so that when they run tomorrow morning, they are all set, ready to rock. Best of luck. Hit that like button, drop a comment, let me know who you're trying to pick up this week. And I will catch you guys on the next one. See ya.
