  Dude's got to, like, figure out his end game.

  I mean, look, he can recruit. He can do OK at the beginning,

  We got the win. It was more of a sweat than it

  And by OK, I mean, not really a lot of great games really that I

  see on the slate. But one that I do like is this

  Cowboys Jets game because The Jets, you know, I mean, they

  managed to lose to the Dolphins and the Dolphins are not good.

  I was also looking at the Dolphins game against the

  Panthers and I think, I think that's a juicy one too. 2

  terrible teams playing. But here we got Cowboys taking

  out The Jets. Cowboys are giving up a point.

  Yes, they're on the road, yes, they're the Cowboys.

  But I mean, they were able to put up 40 points.

  The Jets can't really move the ball at all.

  You know, they're putting up some.

  But I just like Cowboys here. I think they're going to win.

  It's going to be, you know, somewhat decisive.

  So I think that's where we're going.

  So we're going Dallas Cowboys -1 against the New Jersey Jets in

  today's NFL football action. Say anything better than that,

  Brentford's trying to take on one of the big boys but it's not

  going to be a good luck for them.

  Man City's going to take all three points.

  Pep Coriola is going to try to get back into the swing things

  But it's early and there's plenty of time left.

  And I vowed to my faithful followers to right the ship

  I broke a rule I lost twice betting on things surrounding

  the Eagles game. And for all of you who listen,

  you know that Cousin Vinny is an Eagles fan.

  So no more Eagles wagers. Although although that under 44

  1/2 today does look tasty, but in the end, the Eagles right now

  are are an enigma. So Speaking of enigma teams,

  there's a lot of them out there also kind of muddying the water

  or as you would say in Philadelphia, the water of what

  is happening in the NFL right now.

  Why it's so hard to handicap games.

  You got teams like the Panthers, the Falcons, basically the whole

  AFC S is an enigma. Also also we have a fair amount
• 4:09
  of backup and rookie quarterbacks in play.

  So that further muddies the Woodard and we're avoiding them.

  We're avoiding them this week and for the foreseeable future.

  And to kind of take a page out of Nate's playbook, it's too

  early to focus on really bad teams.

  Nate loves to pull out a bad team and bet against them.

  Tennessee is trending in that direction, but we still don't
• 4:35
  really know who stinks. We have a pretty good idea, but
• 4:38
  there is not a demoralized team that we can pick on yet and I'm
• 4:43
  taking a hiatus from prop bets for now.

  I'm getting back to the basics of picking winners and a
• 4:48
  question I have for the gambling public.

  Here is where people making prop bets pre Internet.

  Could you call your local bookie and get over on the rushing

  yards for Bo Jackson in 1988? Think about that.

  And so without further ado, let's talk about my pick today.

  So looking at the schedule, there's one game that jumped out

  to me right away, and that is the Baltimore Ravens heading to
• 5:11
  Houston to play the Texans. No, wait, scratch that.

  They're not heading to Houston. They're heading to Baltimore.
• 5:18
  I just read that wrong because Baltimore is getting a point and
• 5:21
  a half. That's right.
• 5:23
  It's Week 5 and the Baltimore Ravens are a home dog against
• 5:28
  the Houston Texans. And I don't put Baltimore in the
• 5:32
  enigma category of teams we talked about earlier.
• 5:35
  They're 2. Derek Henry fumbles away from
• 5:38
  being, well, not in absolute desperation mode, Which brings
• 5:41
  me to my next point. They are in absolute desperation
• 5:43
  mode. So check the bingo card.
• 5:45
  We have a team that is desperate, a home dog, and we
• 5:50
  kind of know what they are. They can put up points, but they
• 5:52
  can't play defense. And while one could argue that
• 5:55
  yes, the Texans might be in desperation mode as well, they
• 5:59
  actually might not be a good team.

  And let me put a name out there as a cautionary tale to Texans
• 6:06
  fans. 2 words. Carson Wentz, who I'm familiar
• 6:10
  with and went from first bout Hall of Famer to, I don't know,
• 6:14
  playing on like 6 teams in four years or something crazy like
• 6:16
  that. So yes, I think the Texans are
• 6:21
  just what the doctor ordered to get the Ravens season back on
• 6:25
  track and put them back in the conversation, at least at least
• 6:29
  for the time being, of being a wild card team and a team that
• 6:32
  you don't want to see in the first round of the playoffs.

  So take the Ravens the home dog, the desperate team getting a
• 6:40
  point and a half today against the Houston Texans.

  It just sounds right. So take that to the bank and
