- 0:00Track Cuss the Galaxy's Most Unpredictable Star Trick podcast. Now We're here. That
- 0:24was perfect right at the end of the yeah boom. Yeah, only only
- 0:31took us years to get there. Yeah, I'm on so much caffeine right
- 0:36now. Yeah, I'm there as well. I had I had a late
- 0:40night so uh and I had to do the grocery pick up early this morning
- 0:43because I usually do it, uh, you know, at eight, and
- 0:46now I had to do it at seven in order to do this show early
- 0:49so you could go watch wrestling. That's right, welcome. Was that what
- 0:52we're here for? Yeah, that's why. Look, I need to know
- 0:56come on or Adam cool baby. The things we do for Little Oho,
- 1:03I tell you, I mean the things I do without knowing little show.
- 1:10Yeah, exactly exactly. So is this a pay per view or you're actually
- 1:15going to know this is a pay per view? They're they're coming live from
- 1:19the UK, So that's why the hours are so different. Okay, So
- 1:23it is something that you could have VRT and time shifts. It's got it.
- 1:25That's what are you talking about? How can I not see it live?
- 1:30It's a live event, Yeah, that's right, live, live,
- 1:36scripted event. Got it, It's right. You two just keep this in
- 1:38mind, starting like in two weeks when there's football that starts at noon on
- 1:44Sundays, and what is this football that's also scripted sporting, isn't it?
- 1:51No? Are you sure about that? It's last year they had the script
- 1:57out, neverthing that. How can there be a script? There's a writer
- 2:01strike. This just proves it. Yeah, like they see. Man,
- 2:07I didn't realize I had a stack of ship you could see in the camera
- 2:08over here. Dang, yeah, what is all that? The extra shredded
- 2:15pile? Do you hear yourself? I'm in a van with a car seat
- 2:20over my right shoulder, and care that there's a there's a stack of magazines
- 2:23behind you. Well I had to know that because like tomorrow, the treck
- 2:28Cast treck Cast letters come down and the Techni water jet letters go up.
- 2:32So I better not have that there for when I'm doing a sales call.
- 2:36You know, in some way Van of White changing well speak speaking of Van
- 2:40of White, we gotta get bouterers to build. You like some letters that
- 2:45you could flip around, like you just turn around and you flip them around
- 2:47and it's the other podcast. Well, what I need to do, actually
- 2:52is just get a and I've I've told myself this lots, and I've got
- 2:54a story to tell today too. By the way, I think our listeners
- 2:57are gonna really love about some I love I love chats. So yeah,
- 3:00it is story time. It's gonna be fantastic. You guys are gonna like
- 3:04my man card's gonna be stolen and everything. But no, so with the
- 3:09yeah, exactly right, it's no. I want to get like a piece
- 3:14I hear about exactly yeah in my in my fruit fruit and it's not that
- 3:19it's the cappuccino shit, So yeah, anyway, No, I want to
- 3:23get like a piece of clear plexiglass thin, just clear. And I want
- 3:27to mount those letters to it so that I can just take the whole thing
- 3:30down and put the other one up instead of doing each individual letter. And
- 3:34I just haven't gotten around to it yet. It's it's so easy just to
- 3:36move the letters. So you're gonna use transparent aluminum, which is a real
- 3:42thing. It's amazing, it's amazing. We and and I had this idea
- 3:46the of the day on one of my walks with the dog. We and
- 3:49I want to do this. I want to do an episode. Don't don't
- 3:52let him kid you. Oh yeah, yeah, these dogs walking on me.
- 3:57The dog's walking me, yes, and so even does the dog talk
- 4:00to you dad. It's well, that's why my wife bought me this watch.
- 4:03It's so she could just you know, shame me with the rings not
- 4:05being filled every day. So so no, I want to do it towards
- 4:13the end of the year. I want to do an episode, and I
- 4:15want to I'm gonna do the research. I'm actually going to research this and
- 4:17start working on like now ahead of time before the show. I know,
- 4:20I know I'll probably do it. Yeah, but no, No, I
- 4:26want to do an episode about Trek is real and talk about how it's exactly
- 4:32about how all the things that that that even even in t OS and especially
- 4:38in T and G and moving forward, those things that they were using or
- 4:41talking about and how they communicate all those things are slowly becoming real. Not
- 4:45slowly, they have been for a while in some cases. So, but
- 4:47there's even more things there too than most people realize in terms of just what
- 4:54you know, what's actually real. So anyway, I want to get Dan
- 4:57Saves the Dogs. Yeah, right, But anyway, I love to do
- 5:00that kind of show. You know, I love the fact that we're we
- 5:02kind of became a review show. We review all the new track, right,
- 5:06I do love that a little bit of everything. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:10But I mean I'd like to kind of try to figure out ways to get
- 5:13back into our roots of of of just the evergreen episodes where we talk about
- 5:16specific We're gonna have plenty of time to go back to our risks exactly that.
- 5:21I'm really looking forward to that. So you hear that everyone chat is
- 5:27in favor of the writers strike, right, No, No, he's glad
- 5:33that they're losing their homes. And I'm gonna I'm gonna cut. I'm gonna
- 5:39cut the rope and go to the other side of the line and be what
- 5:41do they call that when you're a union worker who jumps the line? What
- 5:44do they call that? Scab? I'm gonna be a scab. Yes,
- 5:46I'm gonna start writing for uh for these I'm here to cash in wherever there's
- 5:55profits, all right, Never forget I'm a FERENGI. Okay, that's right,
- 5:59So Chatty, I just changed my name. I should change my name,
- 6:03all right. We'll speaking of which, maybe we should get to the
- 6:06news because we got okay sorts of fun Star Trek not what we do here
- 6:17uh from IGN. CBS will be airing Strange New Worlds as part of Start
- 6:25Day twenty three, So officially, on September eight will be Star Trek Day,
- 6:30and on that day they will air two episodes of Strange New Worlds on
- 6:34network television. On network television. I feel like I feel like someone on
- 6:40this show predicted this like fourteen days ago. I absolutely did. I'm being
- 6:47facetious, yes, And I think they're testing the waters and I think if
- 6:53it does well, we are going to you know, with the way streaming
- 6:58is going. I think I think they're going back to network television. I
- 7:02really do. Everybody listening to this episode needs to follow Dan Lombardo of Earth's
- 7:10advice and watch those episodes live. Pump those numbers up, go turn on
- 7:15three TVs with those U U and TV antennas, right yeah, and jump
- 7:20it up. And if you have and if you have your own podcast,
- 7:25make sure that you reschedule it so that you can go watch this scripted show
- 7:30as it's live. That's right. Always reschedule your podcast or TV. It's
- 7:34the only way to go. I totally understand that. Screw the other two
- 7:40guys. You just make us do things earlier in the day. Indeed,
- 7:46indeed, so they're gonna add the first two episodes for season one, so
- 7:49that's cool. Also that what will be happening is into a few cities around
- 7:55the around the world, including Vancouver, Calgary, and London as far some
- 8:00US cities as well, like Dallas, Denver, Phoenix. Didn't see New
- 8:03York on the list, which was interesting. Yeah, I'm sure Duval is
- 8:07punching walls. I'm sure apart. Yeah, sure, he's screaming at the
- 8:13sky. He's going on the check Gass, correspondent for New York City.
- 8:18The hell Yeah, they're gonna have some screenings of some lower deck episodes.
- 8:24They say they're gonna pick out four episodes and screen them. So but but
- 8:28Dan, he's not supposed to be working right now. Oh, that's a
- 8:31that's a script. He has to write that script and do it. So
- 8:33he can't. He can't be doing that. He'd be he'd be going against
- 8:35he's in the news. That's a scripted series. Dude, news is different,
- 8:41even though he's even though he's an independent correspondent. Okay, you know
- 8:43if you had, if you had been on the podcast this season, you
- 8:46would know that we discussed right maybe maybe yeah maybe yeah yeah, check check
- 8:50with Scott, he'll clear it up for you. That's right. Okay,
- 8:54okay, guess that was Dan. Anyways, so they're also gonna have on
- 9:03Star Trek dot Com Slash Day, they're going to be airing a special program
- 9:09kind of celebrating Star Trek supposed to be hosted by by Captain Ransom himself,
- 9:15Jerry O'Connell. And that's interesting because that does go against unions. So they
- 9:20must have recorded this a long time ago. Yeah yeah, so okay,
- 9:26but yeah, so all that's going on, so that's pretty neat. And
- 9:31then our next new story comes to us from Star Trek Movie dot Com.
- 9:35I don't know if you guys saw this, but earlier this week somebody flew
- 9:37a banner over the Netflix headquarters and it said save Star Trek Prodigy. So
- 9:46that's cool. I guess there was made a real money to have that done.
- 9:52Well. The real story is even crazier because I found yeah, Florida,
- 9:58no no, no, this is in LA. There's a start trick
- 10:00fans in LA who went and did a protest out in front of Netflix to
- 10:03save Start Trick Prodigy. All dozen of them showed up. It looks like
- 10:07from the pictures there were tens. There were tens. There were tens of
- 10:11them there, yes, trying to get Start Trick Prodigy on Netflix. And
- 10:15apparently the way they funded this airplane with the banner, they needed about fifteen
- 10:20hundred dollars to do this. They started to go fund me and raise the
- 10:24money and once they had the money to the skies it went. So that's
- 10:31how it happened. Where did they advertise for this if they just get their
- 10:33money from before in California or what you know? The go fund me was
- 10:37from everywhere. It sounds like they want on a few different Facebook groups and
- 10:41Redding groups and that's how they raised the money. So it's amazing to get
- 10:46that much traction and not talk to us, yeah or anyone really. Yeah.
- 10:54And then our last news story comes to us from CBR and there is
- 10:56some controversy of foots right now between Paramount and the Star Trek fan community up
- 11:03Currently, there is a Star Trek fan film called Wolf three five nine and
- 11:09Paramount has did a big DMCA copyright strike against it knocking down the fan film
- 11:16from social media and CBR basically is taking the position that this is a really
- 11:24bad idea for Paramount to be doing that, because it's not like their shows
- 11:28are really that popular and the fan community has not grown that so to go,
- 11:33hold on a second, guess I'll be right back, keep going.
- 11:37Okay, So to go against your fans like that is probably a bad move.
- 11:43I think they need to Paramount. I think they need to pick a
- 11:46course heading on this issue and stick to it. You know, what was
- 11:54it six years ago or whatever I thought this was. This was put to
- 11:58bed with the Accident Acts and are you know, and they made all these
- 12:03rules and then they just didn't enforce them at all. It was like,
- 12:07we made these rules to finish this lawsuit up. And then as soon as
- 12:13the lawsuit was concluded, you know, there was this lull and then and
- 12:24be Dan, you're cutting out. I don't know, Dan is cutting out
- 12:33really bad all of a sudden. Come on, come on, yeh,
- 12:37can you hear me? Now? I can hear you? Okay, Okay,
- 12:41So they made and then they made all these rules during the Acts and
- 12:48our thing to settle that lawsuit, and then as soon as the lawsuit was
- 12:50put to bed, there was a lull where you know, these fan films
- 12:54weren't really being done, and then slowly but surely they went back to doing
- 13:00what they had been doing, and they didn't take any action on it.
- 13:05So of course we're right back where we were. Yeah, so I don't
- 13:11know absolutely. So this Wolves three five nine thing, I mean, have
- 13:16is it a real fan film or are they doing the same thing AX and
- 13:20I was doing where they're selling you know, they're selling bottles of wine that
- 13:24say AX and are on them and T shirts and yeah, so from what
- 13:28I can know, it's just a fan film. But I haven't been able
- 13:31to find too much about it now that the fan film has been removed,
- 13:35so I'm sure we'll find out more in the coming days. But I mean,
- 13:41if they were running, if they're running ads on it, you know
- 13:43these are all there. Yeah, these are all revenue generating things, right,
- 13:50And not to take a dump on fan films, but it used to
- 13:54be you know, seven buddies got together with a with a video camera and
- 14:01they made a film and that was it. Right. If if they needed
- 14:05any funds, they paid out a pocket you know, if you're doing.
- 14:09If you're doing crowdfunding, somebody is getting paid. Somebody is getting that money
- 14:16that you're raising, right, and Paramount is not getting get cut of it,
- 14:18right, And I kind of agree with them. Yeah, No,
- 14:26I get that. I get that, And you're right there should be no
- 14:28revenue genitor from it, and then that's fine, that that should be completely
- 14:31fine. I mean, they just did that Spider Man lotus and you didn't
- 14:35see Marvel freaking out about that. Yeah, and that was the same thing
- 14:39fan film that people just did. A lot of people too nowadays, use
- 14:43their fan films as they're real to get into Hollywood, likes what I'm capable
- 14:46of. Yeah, so well it's not direct revenue. It is kind of
- 14:52in a way because they're trying to increase their visibility. So yeah, I
- 15:01mean I don't have anything against that, because if you're in a band,
- 15:09If you're in a band and you send a demo tape to a record company
- 15:13and the demo tape is you and your band doing Enter Sandman by Metallica in
- 15:20your garage, there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, even though that's copyrighted
- 15:26material. You know, you're not directly generating any revenue from it, right,
- 15:33you're just showing up and yes, and I think what you're talking about
- 15:37where you do your fan film and then use it as as a resume builder.
- 15:41That's fine until you start paying people to be in it. Even if
- 15:45you just pay the actors to be in it, those actors are getting paid.
- 15:48That money is coming from somewhere. If it doesn't come from your own
- 15:52pocket, it comes from crowdfunding or whatever. Somebody is making money off that
- 15:56IP without giving the IP owner. They're cut and that's wrong no matter how
- 16:00you slice it. Right, right, that's true. Yet it back?
- 16:04Hey, I'm back, right, Okay, there's a there's a there's a
- 16:12there's a something stuck in the wall in my daughter's room. So there's a
- 16:17something. I don't know what. We don't know. I don't know what.
- 16:18Is it a spooky Is it a ghost? It's kind of sounds really,
- 16:26but you don't know what it is. It's a it's a something.
- 16:29Well, yeah, I don't know what it is. I can guess maybe
- 16:30it's a bird, but I have no idea. It's okay, So here's
- 16:33what we're gonna do. I'm sorry. It's a drone. It's a government
- 16:37drone. All right, so we don't know what it is. So what
- 16:41we want we want you guys to guess what it is. So oh yeah,
- 16:44call the voicemail line at eight one six to eight seven zero four burned
- 16:51down the house eight one six to eight seven zero four four eight, Give
- 16:56us a call, let us know what do you think is sin Chad's wall?
- 17:00And next week, next week we'll we'll give a listen to I don't
- 17:07know, Daniel, do you have any ideas you want to? You want
- 17:08to guess first sound some different things. I'm going to guess. I'm going
- 17:14to guess it's the other Chad, two of them. No, I guarantee
- 17:21you it's Scott coming for me. Yeah, I was gonna say it's Powders.
- 17:26He's waiting for the for the perfect moment to just bust up. More
- 17:30realistic A squirrel. Yeah, I think it's Uh. I think it's Vols.
- 17:37I think O'Brien didn't get the last one, and its self ceiling simbolt,
- 17:41and it's just it's that how it works, how it works. It
- 17:48makes a weird sound. And then I would love for on lower decks,
- 17:55uh, someone to reference to self ceiling stimbolts. I feel like they've done
- 17:59that already, have they I don't know? Yeah, yeah, let's go
- 18:04back and watch them all puts the lotion on its skin. Yeah, all
- 18:11right, Well let's get to the main topic. All right, sounds good,
- 18:15fun well now, all right, so our main topic more or less
- 18:25as a primer for season four of Lower Decks, because it's real. Yeah,
- 18:29that's about all right. I'm just gonna ask because yeah, I didn't
- 18:33know. We talked about this. I knew, but I didn't really prepare
- 18:40because I can do this fine top of my head. I prepared some things
- 18:42I've called much good. Somebody like it was like, I know, damn
- 18:48well, you two aren't gonna do a freaking things, so I'll I'll do
- 18:52it. Yeah exactly. Well he's I'm like, you're here, fine,
- 18:56I'll do it. He's got you are inevitable. He's got the WrestleMania later
- 19:02so no, no, no, it's all he's like, he's like,
- 19:06I can't I can't let the show. I can't, so I have to
- 19:11prepare something for it. That's right, keep you on track. So go
- 19:17ahead, Daniel, you got you got the reins, buddy. Okay.
- 19:19So last season, we ended with the big fight between the Texas Class in
- 19:25California Class. We found out that buen Amigo was not a buen amigo but
- 19:27a bad amigo. And we did also get the cliffhanger that Badgie is lurking
- 19:36and returning at some point, which could mean nothing for this season exactly.
- 19:42I also, Rutherford has kind of changed, He's got all his memories backs.
- 19:47Yeah. Yeah, that was a big one. That was a big
- 19:49one. So there's a lot to start with season four, So I guess
- 19:55we could start with our predictions we do well yeah, okay, still for
- 20:00the predictions, but refresh my memory though. On the the fire, they
- 20:06had to basically rip apart the skin of the of the ship, didn't they
- 20:11Yes, because they were doing a race and then there was something where they
- 20:15needed to save a group of people and the way to do that was by
- 20:21removing their hole. It was something like that. I didn't watch the show
- 20:26again. I was too busy. They had something because with my brother this
- 20:29week. Yeah yeah. So my first prediction then, based on that,
- 20:36is that we are going to see the introduction of the California Class a refit
- 20:41because because if they're putting if they're putting a new hull on the ship.
- 20:47Yeah, I don't think. I don't think they're just gonna put the old
- 20:49hull back on. I think they're gonna make some some improvements. Look at
- 20:55this, ladies and gentlemen. He's got a breakdown start and everything. I'm
- 21:00goodness, I just recopied them when we did for Strange New Worlds. Okay,
- 21:04so Dan's got to California class refit Chad likely or unlikely for that?
- 21:11Uh. I hadn't really thought about that, but I guess I'll say that's
- 21:15likely because just because of mcmanahan, we know what his background is, we
- 21:22know how much of a fan of TNG and DS nine he is, and
- 21:26how much he squeezes in references to those shows. I mean, it's everywhere
- 21:32right, and I just don't in t and I just don't see how he
- 21:34would pass up this opportunity to do that. That's a great point. I
- 21:40think it's a perfect opportunity. I just can't see how he passed that up.
- 21:41How would he miss that? He's too good at those details to say.
- 21:45And this is an obvious one. The refits of the ships and all
- 21:48that's something that this is like a complete trope. It's done all the time,
- 21:52so I don't know how you I don't know how you would miss that.
- 21:56I said, I'm gonna go unlikely, just to be different. So
- 22:03cool, somebody's got to get it right, all right. So our first
- 22:07one or our next one is Boimler talking about Pike and Spock. This is
- 22:11one from Chad guessing Chad is likely on this one. Yep, yeah,
- 22:15I think likely. I think likely as well. Yeah, I think he's
- 22:22going to I don't. I don't see him skipping that. How do you
- 22:25not? Yeah, exactly. Rutherford will have a big character change this season.
- 22:33I don't think so, because I think we just saw his big character
- 22:38change. So I think they're gonna lay off of him for a little bit
- 22:44and maybe we'll focus on someone else, whether it's Tendy or okay, you
- 22:48know, one of the one of the background characters. Yeah, okay,
- 22:55yeah, I mean he really already did last season, right, So yeah,
- 22:59I see it's unlikely. Okay, so Chad also unlikely. I'm gonna
- 23:03go yeah, I don't know they've already changed him. You're right, so
- 23:10I'll go unlikely as well. So first two, it's all all the way
- 23:12around between us all. Yeah, next one, Badgie will return like full
- 23:18on, not the tease, but he he's back and he's causing habit mhm,
- 23:27and he will. Does that mean we'll see him throughout the season or
- 23:30just in one episode or does it matter one episode? Yeah, but more
- 23:37than but more than just a tease. It's gotta be a story, a
- 23:40story involving him. It is a badgy story. Yeah, I'll say likely,
- 23:44just because of where they left it, But I still kind of doubt
- 23:47it. I think so, I think, and I think we're gonna see
- 23:51a coalition of evil. AI I'm gonna go different because Okay, see I
- 24:00think I think Dan's onto something there. But I think they'll save that for
- 24:03the season finale. Yeah I could see that, but well maybe maybe the
- 24:07series finale. I mean not this season. I just mean like a series
- 24:10finale. So here's here's my here's my question. Yeah, will they somehow
- 24:15reference chat GPT, Well, they somehow reference that, you know, that's
- 24:22that's where it all started or something like that. That would be funny if
- 24:27they do that. Like Dad, She's great great great great great great grandfather
- 24:32was a chat GPT. That would be like that would be funny. Speaking
- 24:37of Evil AI, Peanut Hamper isn't in this season at all? Likely or
- 24:42like unlikely, not even at tease. No Peanut Hamper at all likely.
- 24:48I'm gonna say unlikely, because she's gonna show up in this uh, this
- 24:52Legion of of Evil AI. They're like the Legion of Doom. They have
- 24:56a they have a base in the swamp and it's just a bunch of Evil
- 25:02AI sitting around a big table talking about how they hate biologics. I kind
- 25:07of like that. All right, so she's she's there. All right,
- 25:10we end the season without a cliffhanger, So no cliffhanger at the end likely
- 25:18or unlikely. They've had a cliffhanger every single year, haven't you know.
- 25:22That's what I'm saying. Are they going to switch it around? No,
- 25:25it's likely they'll do it again. That's now I'm gonna say no cliffhanger this
- 25:29year. Okay, because what season is this? This is season season four?
- 25:33Yeah, So I think with with the with the I think with the
- 25:41because animation you can do so much, you can change so much without having
- 25:47the actors present. I think because because of the strike, they're going to
- 25:52avoid having a two year cliffhanger. Okay, so you think they will go
- 26:00without a cliffhanger, no cliffhanger. Okay, all right, I'm gonna say
- 26:04that they will have a cliffhanger. So well, you'll be wrong. That's
- 26:08fine, that's fine. I don't need to win every time. We do
- 26:11this every time, every time. He doesn't need to win every time.
- 26:18Wow, back, we already started ahead of your wrestling thing. My good
- 26:22when we do this, I you know, I gotta admit. I don't
- 26:25go back and look at the chart. I take your word for it,
- 26:26Daniel. So I mean, did you really wins? Hey? I don't
- 26:30know. All on the show you can look at it. Yeah, I
- 26:33mean, honestly, of people that I would trust to kind of run that
- 26:36and do it right, I think I think out of the three of us,
- 26:37I would trust Daniel the most. Out of that, I don't trust
- 26:41my stop it right. I got and Doctor Tiana break up? Likely or
- 26:49unlikely? Oh, because that would be some really good comic relief if they
- 27:00were fighting and they're fighting in the background all the time. Yeah, No,
- 27:03it was that likely or not? I don't know, because they really
- 27:07don't put that relationship I say it's unlikely. I'd like to see it because
- 27:10I think it'd be funny, but I say it's unlikely. And here's why,
- 27:11because they really don't put that relationship like as a main thing. It's
- 27:15just something we know about and every once in a while we hear like a
- 27:18one liner to it, and that's that's it. And I think they're going
- 27:22to keep it that way because it's it's kind of a nice it's kind of
- 27:26a nice, little interesting, I don't know, the thing that's kind of
- 27:30on the side. Yeah, yeah, I agree. I don't think they're
- 27:33gonna break up. Okay, I you know, I'm gonna say likely,
- 27:38because I do think it'll be funny. It would be funny. I agree,
- 27:41it be very funny. So all right, So we got some fan
- 27:45ones as well listeners who put in their two cents, so we'll go through.
- 27:49Nice Felicia Hers was a cameo by the Strange New World's clos cast.
- 27:57So I don't know what specific you means. Let's say more than two actors
- 28:02show up on lower decks in some respect from Strange New Worlds. From Strange
- 28:07New Worlds, Well, I think the way that'd be one for how she
- 28:11worded it. But that's fine. I say it's unlikely. I don't think
- 28:15that's gonna happen. Okay, I'd love for it to happen. I think
- 28:18they'd be hilarious. Yeah, I would love for it, but I don't
- 28:21see it happening. I don't see it happen. I could see them referencing
- 28:23it, uh huh oh, yeah, for sure, I don't see them
- 28:27showing up. Yeah, we're gonna see that poster again of number one.
- 28:33I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure that's too good not to
- 28:37use again. Yeah, all right, Corey from Instagram. We'll have a
- 28:41Mirror Mirror Universe episode. You know, we haven't. We haven't had one
- 28:45yet. We haven't, not in this series, not once, and we're
- 28:49on what this is, season four? So season four? Yeah, yeah,
- 28:53we're way overdue. So I would think that's, you know, pretty
- 28:59likely because we're way over due. Yeah, they shouldn't put it that way.
- 29:03They should. I'm gonna say unlikely. I think they've got their own
- 29:07stuff going on right now. That maybe season five I could see, but
- 29:11I think right now, not yet. Okay. Someone called human Decks,
- 29:15also from Instagram. At least one temporal Cold War reference. Yes, okay,
- 29:23so Dan's likely on this, Yes, I'm gonna say unlikely. Yeah,
- 29:30I feel like we've already had it. I'm not sure if we have
- 29:34or not. But they haven't really other than the portal thing, they haven't
- 29:41touched time travel at all, m not once, I don't think. No,
- 29:47they haven't other than the portal with the crossover episode, which actually happens
- 29:51on Strange New Worlds and not on Lower Decks. They haven't touched time travel.
- 29:55So I don't know if theyn't necessarily keep that up right, so they
- 30:00are want to want to go into it if they haven't touched it at all.
- 30:03But all the things that they have one off touched all over the place,
- 30:07having skipped that makes me feel like they're skipped it on purpose. Either
- 30:11they do, you don't want to do it, or they're saving it for
- 30:15something. You know, what would be great if the if the opening scene
- 30:22of this season of Lower Decks was Boimler and Mariner coming back through the portal
- 30:33from the Strange New Worlds real life for a second, Yes, yep,
- 30:40like you see Yeah, you see them in real life because you see them
- 30:45as Boimler and Mariner are coming through the portal, but as soon as they
- 30:48come through the portal, they're animated again. Yeah, that would be interesting,
- 30:55that'd be great. Yeah, and then technically that would count as time
- 30:57travel. So yeah, yeah, that's a good point. But that doesn't
- 31:02reference that doesn't reference the Cold War. Yeah right, yeah, yeah,
- 31:04temporal Cold War? Yeah. Uh. Tom from Instagram Jeffrey Combs guest stars.
- 31:11He's one of the robots. So Dan, you're likely on that already,
- 31:15yes, chadd Jaddington unlikely or likely. I'll say unlikely. I would
- 31:21love to see him as voice over for anything. I don't care what you'd
- 31:26be, the trash can, doesn't matter. I'd love to have him on.
- 31:30But h I say unlikely, I'm gonna say likely, But I don't
- 31:34think he'll be the robot. I think because we have seen in one of
- 31:38the trailer clips, we've seen Ram and Leda. So if we're going back
- 31:44to d sign at all, maybe a way Une, maybe are what's the
- 31:49Frankie plays brunt? Brunt? Yeah? Maybe him m hm, so it
- 31:59could be m hm okay, yeah. And then we have a Facebook user
- 32:07a Sritos. What do you say Sritos bo Bingo. Yeah, so we'll
- 32:16do that one. That'll be the last one. Did we get a Serritos
- 32:20Bingo? Like, unlikely? I think that's unlikely. Okay, I don't
- 32:25know what you mean. Explain they do enterprise Bingo on Strange New Worlds.
- 32:31Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Hm hmm.
- 32:37I'm gonna say likely because we're getting that new Vulcan character. She's coming
- 32:43over to the to the Serritos. So I think you've got a good chance
- 32:46to be like, oh, have you done Serritos Bingo? Maybe not actually
- 32:50do it, but mention it. So yeah, okay, I don't I'll
- 33:00say unlikely, Okay, but I don't really Okay, I'm not sure I
- 33:05have an opinion either way on that yet. But yeah I don't. I'm
- 33:07not like strong conviction on that. I'm just yeah, no, not at
- 33:10all, not at all. So that that's the predictions will go back through
- 33:15this after the end of the season. I'm gonna predict now Dan's gonna win.
- 33:21I don't know why, So put that on the bottom. Make that
- 33:23one more one more question. One prediction is Dan wins. Yes, uh
- 33:34so I'm going likely on that unlikely because I have a two thirds chance,
- 33:42I'm gonna I'm gonna break the universe and say it's unlikely that all win,
- 33:45So one way or the other, I'm gonna be right, yeah, exactly
- 33:50exactly what do you win? Because you're going from both sides. That's a
- 33:53great way to look at it. Yeah, yeah, there you go.
- 34:00All right, so that's all the predictions. We'll go back there to the
- 34:01matter of the season finale. That's pretty good. Yeah, So we did
- 34:07have that trailer where we saw a little bit and like I said, we're
- 34:10gonna see Ramin and Lida, so that's exciting. And he's got the Grand
- 34:15Negas stick, the what do they call that scepter? Decepter? Yeah,
- 34:21nice, that'll be full. So maybe we'll see Brunt kissing his ass.
- 34:30Maybe that's how we'll see That's kind of what I'm thinking. Jeffrey Combs.
- 34:35Yeah, yeah, that's kind of what it. Well, we may not
- 34:38even hear him, you just kind of see him. And yeah, yeah,
- 34:44because they do that a lot too, like the Tom Paris plate.
- 34:47Yeah yeah, yeah, Oh boy, this show is such a I mean,
- 34:59it's just instant laughs. Honestly, every everyone I've watched, there's always
- 35:04something that's funny. That's just makes you smiling. You think, and if
- 35:07you go back and thinking about it, it just keeps making you smile,
- 35:09kind of like uh, the Subspace Rhapsody from Strange New Worlds, which I'm
- 35:16not ashamed to admit I have now watched four freaking times. Yeah, I
- 35:22mean, I just I can't get those songs out of my head. Every
- 35:27once in a while, it'll pop in one of them right now. Yeah,
- 35:32stop, it was I'm telling you that one was stuck in my head.
- 35:37Yeah, four days. About a week ago. Oh wow, I
- 35:42was sorry to go watch talking. Yeah, I was talking to a co
- 35:45worker about it and he was like, yeah, I don't know, and
- 35:49I said, no, the way they did it it was, you know,
- 35:50it was really good. They made it part of the story. And
- 35:53I pulled it up on I pulled it up on YouTube and played it for
- 35:57him. And then there was a week where it was just stuck in my
- 35:59head. Mm hmm. Again. I don't want them to do it again.
- 36:05It's a one time it's a one time thing. But that's what that's
- 36:07what's gonna make that good. If for this one time thing, they knocked
- 36:13it out of the park. Exactly, and that is the reason why they
- 36:16can't do it again because it was done so well there's no way to duplicate.
- 36:22It's not gonna happen. You're not going to duplicate that and do it
- 36:27better. You're just not. You're just not. So don't eat, don't
- 36:30don't do it. Just just don't. Maybe maybe years from now, like
- 36:35whatever, but just not. Just don't. Don't do it. Man,
- 36:37I watched it once and I'm okay with that. Yeah, but I mean
- 36:44you watch wrestling, so we know you have no wow shots fired. We
- 36:51are just completely piling on him, like you know, yeah, like it
- 36:58was listening top. For those listening to the show, Chad just tapped his
- 37:01elbow and dropped it on Man. I don't know what that movie is called.
- 37:10I have no idea what that movie is called, but I just did
- 37:13it. It's an elbow dropped from the top like mantre man Randy Savage.
- 37:15Okay, there you go, Yeah, come on the bionic elbow. Even
- 37:23for those for those listening, Daniel is eating a slim gym right now.
- 37:28Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, right's gonna grab He's
- 37:34gonna snap you in half. Can you do the rest of the show entirely
- 37:39in the man. Oh yeah, So I think Jeffrey Colms is gonna show
- 37:44up and he's gonna be dadd evil AI and he's gonna read Cavoc under Federation.
- 37:51Yeah. Yeah. Anyone gets in his way, he's gonna come into
- 38:00Oh my god, I don't know if it's better doing the shows that it's
- 38:05early. Now, look, you broke Jat. He's like red. I
- 38:10can't Oh god, oh my god. Oh man, all right, good
- 38:22grief. Before we get you guys, been watching a Soca Yes too,
- 38:30I haven't watched any more than that because the third one came out. Oh
- 38:36that's right, Okay, So I keep falling asleep. Oh it's like I
- 38:40keep falling asleep, and I think part of the problem is I don't have
- 38:46much of a connection to her. I didn't watch I didn't watch the Clone
- 38:50Wars. I haven't watched any of those shows, Clone Wars, Rebels,
- 38:53none of that. Yeah, I didn't watch Rebels. I didn't watch Clone
- 38:57Wars. I tried to watch. Do you remember before before the like Pixar
- 39:01style Clone Wars came out first, there was the two D animation, there
- 39:07was the two D animation. I have those on DVD and I've tried to
- 39:09watch them a few times and I and I couldn't get into them. The
- 39:15move, I think there's a movie that that predates the the animated series.
- 39:24A few of the episodes just put together. No, no, that was
- 39:28a theatrical release, I thought. But I thought it was just a few
- 39:30of the episodes put together, and they made it. I don't think.
- 39:35I mean, I could be don't but I've watched most of that with my
- 39:38son and I couldn't get into it. And because of that, I never
- 39:42tried to watch the series, because you know, I didn't see the first
- 39:49thing. So I mean, Ahsoka, My My. My exposure to Asoka
- 39:54is the episodes of the Mandalorian that shots on so which is fine. Yeah,
- 40:01I know, but I tried to watch this, and I just think
- 40:07back to when you watched and Or. Yeah see and Or started off very
- 40:13slow, yeah, and it just kept on this very slow build, very
- 40:19slow build, very slow build, until it became one that's just a fantastic.
- 40:24Yeah. That that whole series I'm gonna watch so good and I can't
- 40:29wait until it comes out again, because especially where it left off, it
- 40:31was like, oh my god, you know with what they were building,
- 40:36right, They're literally building the Death Star, the Gun, the main array.
- 40:40So so it was a fantastic season. And I feel like a Shoka
- 40:46Asoka whatever. I don't know, Ahsoka, she's a soaking I feel like
- 40:52it has the ability to be that good. Here's here's the problem when I
- 41:00watch, When I watch Star Wars now New Star Wars, stuff in my
- 41:07head. I always have to stop for a minute and say, hold on,
- 41:09where does this take place in the timeline? I always have to remind
- 41:14myself, where what am I watching here? Where does yep? And I
- 41:16do the math and then I remember, so this happened a couple of times
- 41:20while I was trying to watch Asoka. I remember, oh, this is
- 41:24this is the same time as the Mandalorian roughly, so this is after Return
- 41:31of the Jedi. And then I can't help. And then I can't help
- 41:36but say to myself, why isn't this a story about Luke Skywalker. He
- 41:43is supposed to be the last Jedi at this point, And I know she's
- 41:47not a Jedi. She was a Jedi, so but she's not anymore.
- 41:51She left the Order or whatever, so she's just a regular person with all
- 41:54the powers and the weapons of a Jedi. I understand that, but then
- 42:00he's not really the last Jedi if there are people running around like that,
- 42:04and then this this guy and his his female, younger female padawan apprentice shows
- 42:15up and it's like, oh, these are Jedi, and then no,
- 42:16no, they're evil Jedi. But they're not Sith. They're just evil Jedi.
- 42:22Yeah. I don't know. It's just okay, So I am not
- 42:28a deep lower guy when it comes to Star Wars. Okay. However,
- 42:34I will say this, I never bought watching and whether you like it or
- 42:38not, how the second three episode movies were set up Hayden Christians and all
- 42:46that stuff, the end of the Jedile I never I never bought that there
- 42:50could just only be one Jedi left, especially after Return of the Jedi,
- 42:54where it's just Luke. Because people have these abilities inherently and can kind of
- 43:00teach themselves somewhat how to do some of those things. And if they happen
- 43:05to come across somebody who knows how to create a lightsaber or has a lightsaber
- 43:08or whatever, well there you go. It's not like every single person has
- 43:13to be trained in a Jedi order and only to be able to know how
- 43:15to wield a lightsaber, right, you can train yourself. It's a sort
- 43:19fight so plus the force. Right. So with that said, I like
- 43:23what they're doing in terms of there are other people out there with these abilities
- 43:28who maybe don't know how to use them correctly but differently, but but you're
- 43:32using them differently or have a skewed version of it. And in terms of
- 43:37and so I think all that's fine. Now in terms of where Luke comes
- 43:42in, I mean they already put him in and the man well I guess
- 43:49it was. Was that the Mandalorian or was it? Yeah, that was
- 43:50one of the major species, right, right, So he was in both,
- 43:55right. I don't see any reason why they can't have him come back
- 43:59in again as part of the storyline. Now he is trying to get that.
- 44:05I get that. But that's that's the other that's my other issue is
- 44:07that even if he comes in and they do Luke centric stories in this time
- 44:13period, it doesn't matter because they've already ruined him in the sequel, in
- 44:19the sequel trilogy. So even even when I saw him in uh, you
- 44:24know, even when I saw him in the Mandalorian and saw him again in
- 44:28Boba Fat. It was so great to see him, and it was so
- 44:31great to see him in his prime. But at the same time, I
- 44:35couldn't stop myself from thinking, you have none of this matters because because they
- 44:40ruined him. M yeah, yeah. And I don't want to be one
- 44:47of those Star Wars fans who say they should de canonize the the sequel trilogy
- 44:57because because it's it sounds like such a pie in the sky idea that I
- 45:00know they'll never do, but they really should, because it's garbage. It's
- 45:06trash. It's absolutely trash, and no amount of reck conning in the world.
- 45:12I know. The last season of Mandalorian, they were they were trying
- 45:16to steer into the skid and kind of point things towards the sequel trilogy and
- 45:25put some stuff in there to make it make better sense and make it work
- 45:31better as a part of the whole story. Except that's you're just by doing
- 45:37that, you are proving to us that it sucks, because you shouldn't have
- 45:43to do that. And if it sucks, then treat it like a gang
- 45:47green limb and chop it off and throw it away. Well, the problem
- 45:52is they didn't have a game plan with that series at all. They just
- 45:55kind of winged it, you know, and that's been the issue. Now
- 46:00yeah, yeah, now that they're filling in the gaps behind that ron where
- 46:06where, what are you gonna do with this? You're gonna obviously this guy
- 46:08dies, like what's Yeah, it doesn't really be interesting into a movie.
- 46:15Yeah, it's gonna be interesting, it's gonna be kind of cool, but
- 46:17we're gonna see him die because he's not there in the future. He's gone.
- 46:22No one even knows who he is. You've got a whole another last
- 46:23order, so another evil and final order, another and another one and another
- 46:30one, because it just keeps coming back like a bad rash. Well like
- 46:35like h. Lucas said, it's like poetry. It rhymes JJ yeah yeah.
- 46:45So all right, well let's get to feedback. We have people waiting,
- 46:49so awesome. We don't want to keep people waiting. No we don't,
- 47:00No, we don't. So we got chasms on the line, just
- 47:05standing there waiting, So let's bring him on there he is. Yeah,
- 47:10I'm sorry about that, you guys. Michael. I stayed up for three
- 47:15am. Why then I laid there at eight thirty and I'm like, there's
- 47:21a show on. I was like two more hours. Man, you're committed,
- 47:31baby, I'm committed. I was out drinking last night and I'm still
- 47:36here. How about you? Yeah? If I was drinking, yeah,
- 47:40I wouldn't be here. I'd be asleep right now. Oh yeah. So
- 47:47do you think some of these shows could get cut because of the writers strike?
- 47:52Just curious. I really don't think the longer this goes, I don't
- 47:55think we're going to see that store fleet Academy. Yeah, yeah, especially
- 48:00all the future projects they announced, I think they're gonna start cutting because if
- 48:06they're smart, they'll have listened to the massive amount of fan feedback about the
- 48:13Academy over legacy, and they'll use the writer strike is the excuse to cut
- 48:21Academy, and then once they can get rolling again, they'll put in They'll
- 48:25put inc which m been like Prodigy, That's what Academy should have been.
- 48:32I think this though. I think Academy will end up being the next Section
- 48:37thirty one where we always hear about it but it never comes to fruition.
- 48:42But Chad's favorite character might come back. No, he's part of it.
- 48:50Don't forget. I'm part of it. What was his name asked or whatever?
- 48:54The asked Tyler. Oh my god, he he's parted section thirty one.
- 49:00Now, don't forget that's true. And they can't get a Georgeoe bat
- 49:06because Michelle Yo's. Yeah, her schedule is just gonna keep piling up.
- 49:09So you get her after that, Oscar, you're not gonna get hers unless
- 49:15she was already under contract. Yeah, she was already under contract to do
- 49:22well, they get the georget, you get the section thirty one. Maybe
- 49:25they're supposedly gonna fil them and I have a film. They're going to scrap
- 49:29that too. He Wolf had a question for you. He wants to know
- 49:35if there's chairs in your house standing the whole time, there's there's stalls.
- 49:44Okay, that's funny. Yeah, yeah, I'm just I'm standing here drinking
- 49:54my coffee. Get Rios. You can't Bronson. Rios is dead. They
- 50:00kill them like freaking idiots in the past. He went back to his home
- 50:04planet yep, yep. And then how long is this season of Lower Deck?
- 50:10Is going to be ten? Ten episodes? I think, so we
- 50:14got ten episodes and then then we're gonna have the gap between that and Discovery
- 50:19Scovery and then you know everybody, and then we'll be the real after that
- 50:28will be the real gap because there's nothing. I mean, yeah, I
- 50:30don't think we'll get else next year, honestly, well next year was we'll
- 50:36get Discovery outside of that, Yeah, that's outside of that. I don't
- 50:38think anything else. Nope. Yeah. And when is Discovers like February or
- 50:44do we know? Well, tentatively it's supposed to be like, yeah,
- 50:47February a thing, but who knows they can move it? Well, this
- 50:52time, I know where they can move it for it. Where can they
- 50:58move it, Dan, Well, let's they can click here and drag it
- 51:02to the recycling been dropping in there. I don't care. I don't care.
- 51:09I don't care. I don't care, Dan. I can actually honestly
- 51:15say I am actually, for the first time forever, I am actually excited
- 51:21about this season of Discovery because I know it's the last one and then the
- 51:29suffering will end. I just want to see Burnham dye and I'm hoping to
- 51:31God it happens. That's what I'm here for. She'll have a monument,
- 51:37so she'll push over O'Brien's monument. I think the best. The best thing
- 51:45they could do is tie it into the temporal Cold War and and have someone
- 51:52tell them you were never supposed to be here. None of this was supposed
- 51:57to happen. No, I'm serious, none of this was supposed to happen.
- 52:01Send them back to the send them back to the twenty third century.
- 52:05The ship gets destroyed in the process, the spot drive technology is lost.
- 52:10They all end up going home, and that timeline gets erased. So everything
- 52:17we know about the thirty second century or wherever the hell they are is irrelevant.
- 52:22Now it's an alternate timeline disregard. You know what about that theory is
- 52:29that's not too far from how they've done some endings. So it's pretty good.
- 52:35This is what you do. You end it with somebody goes computer end
- 52:37program, and then all of a sudden there's Jake and maybe a couple of
- 52:42different cast members from DS nine, and he's all like, what do you
- 52:44think of my holler novel? Yeah, but yes, it's all the internet
- 52:52criticisms. They'll make this, they'll make this space yeah yeah, yeah,
- 52:59and to it could even better. You should get that. You should get
- 53:01the dipshits who put together action our as part of that crew sitting around with
- 53:05him giving them. It would be hilarious. End it that way. Yeah,
- 53:13that would be hilarious. They should do something. They can't do that
- 53:16though they can't they physically can't do that. They could do that on lower
- 53:20decks, though. They could have something on lower decks for an episode like
- 53:23that where we're watching the whole thing and it ends with Boemler or somebody saying,
- 53:28how do you like my hollow novel? They need to do that.
- 53:36That would be great. It was it was all a dream and you were
- 53:37there and you and you and you, yeah, slippers on home. See.
- 53:52That's what's great about lower decks because you can do all those kinds of
- 53:55things and just completely have fun with yourself with it and it's fine. It's
- 54:00great. Yeah, yeah, believe it. Yep. Do you think in
- 54:07like thirty years it like Jack Quaid will be the new like Jonathan Franks were,
- 54:14like, he's the statesman of Star Trek. He'll never He'll never be
- 54:17Jonathan Franks because that's not a person, you know, who it really will
- 54:25be. It'll Benny Newsome will be that statesman. Yeah, it'll be her,
- 54:30one of the two. If they play their cards right, very well,
- 54:32could be. They're both they're both very intelligent, they're both very very
- 54:38good. And I really think she loves it more like I think he's having
- 54:42fun. But oh yeah, for sure, she absolutely love You can just
- 54:45well, I don't know if that's really that's just her personality though. I
- 54:49think she's just a very but she goes all the details like she does.
- 54:55She does. That's true. Yeah, I guess that's true because they were
- 55:00And when when when we first were introduced to Mariner, when we first met
- 55:02Tony Newsom, I was like, holy crap, that's too much. I
- 55:06can't that's too much. She's way over the top. I live back down,
- 55:09let down. But that's the first episode or two right that. I
- 55:14mean, you kind of get used to it and you kind of get to
- 55:15understand her. That's endearing After a while, well it's, oh god,
- 55:21you love her to death. I think it was because we had Michael Burnham
- 55:24for several seasons and then we saw her and yeah, here we go again.
- 55:30We're going to get another no at all blah blah blah, and then
- 55:35they changed it and it's so much better. It's much better, Yeah,
- 55:38much better, much better. So No, Yeah, I think those two,
- 55:43if they want to, they will have a very very long Yeah,
- 55:46exactly, Bronson. I think that they will have a very very long career
- 55:50in Trek if they still desire for pretty much anything they want, so,
- 55:54regardless of their cameos in Strange New Worlds now where their live action characters.
- 56:02Yeah, So anything else you want to bring up? Uh? What was
- 56:07I gonna say? So? What the writers strike? Blah blah blah?
- 56:10You know, what are we gonna do with the show next year? Are
- 56:15we gonna do review episodes? And we got somep this long gap? Yeah,
- 56:21we got some she's gonna have. We've talked about a few things.
- 56:25You know, maybe maybe we'll watch some fan films and try to talk to
- 56:30people from that. I've got more of those old fashioned evergreen episodes where you
- 56:35take a specific topic or a specific genre or trope and break it down,
- 56:39break it apart, how all those kinds of things. So we're open.
- 56:43I'm open to suggestions if anybody wants, Yeah, what do you want to
- 56:46do? Yeah, well, for sure, we need to do the gold
- 56:51Decott tribute episode because he did nothing wrong. He did nothing wrong wrong.
- 56:59Monuments a benevolent leader. He's on the pajurance like his children. Yes,
- 57:07you know for Father's Day, that's what we should do, god Father's Day
- 57:12tribute Worst Fathers the Star Trek. I don't really starting with war party,
- 57:21you know, that would be interesting. Who's the worst father? Because one
- 57:28will physically kill the other child the other one is like emotionally which one's worse.
- 57:37It's I mean, it's pretty bad. He's like the one he killed
- 57:39the trauma is over right, but the other one like kill their spirit and
- 57:43it's always there. Even Alice Steven mentioned what happened to worst Son. It
- 57:49was like Alexander is like nobody cares about Alexander. Nobody cares about Alexander,
- 57:52that poor guy he crashed with the Enterprise or whatever, and they've all forgot
- 57:58it. Tell everybody's dead. Yeah, Jordy's just like they're all like ninety
- 58:04and Jordy's like, what's Alexander up to these days? Jordy, he died
- 58:08fifty years ago. They used my ending with Jake and it's him and Alexander.
- 58:14How come none of the characters have dads exactly. Bronson wants us to
- 58:22use Jeopardy, Yeah for sure, Oh yeah, or technically don't want to
- 58:27get I don't want to get nut again. I got destroyed last time at
- 58:35Jeopardy. Uh. There should definitely be like a tournament where we have lots
- 58:39of people sign up for it. We push it like month ahead of time,
- 58:43and then we have like a couple of episodes in a row where we're
- 58:45getting through those brackets like it's we should do that for March Madness. Yeah.
- 58:52Yeah, we come up with some stuff. Yeah, all kinds of
- 58:53things, all kinds of things to keep up on my Star Trek. Yeah.
- 59:01Yeah. Did they have an audio version of Memory Alpha? They'll just
- 59:06read it Wipedia last time, So that's why we can. We can take
- 59:09clips and then use AI voices to do that. Yeah. Yeah, all
- 59:15right, Jasmine, Well thanks for for being on. All right, thanks
- 59:19guys, next time, next man. Yep, yeah, do you have
- 59:23any other feedback? Daniel was like, we got we got a show to
- 59:28watch, the show on pre show. It's not for another hour, but
- 59:32I got things to do. Get ready. It was my birthday the other
- 59:37week on the twentieth, seven days ago. Did you even did you even
- 59:40see the tribute in the Facebook group? I don't think he did you don't

- 1:01:19sounds like a lot more fun. I mean, I definitely want to go

- 1:02:47What is it May? What? May thirty one through June second or
- 1:02:52something the red after Memorial Day? Yeah, and Long Island is close enough
- 1:02:58to New York City that if you guys just want to you know, I
- 1:03:00don't know how often or if you've ever been to New York City. If
