- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey guys, it's Greg Nicotero from The Walking Dead. This
- 0:12Speaker 1: is Movie Meltdown.
- 0:18Speaker 2: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion
- 0:21Speaker 2: Picture Association of America.
- 0:23Speaker 3: It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised.
- 0:37Speaker 2: It's showtime, folks.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Enjoy the show.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:13Speaker 2: What's up and.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I'm Misty.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And we're coming to you live via digital recording from
- 1:34Speaker 1: the outskirts of Wonderfest. Woo! We have returned. We don't
- 1:39Speaker 1: even count the years anymore. I was going to say,
- 1:40Speaker 1: how many years? We don't. You usually say how many years,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and I'm like, no, it's not, because that became the running.
- 1:46Speaker 1: There's two things we opened with every year, and I've
- 1:48Speaker 1: tried to kill them because we do it every year.
- 1:50Speaker 2: But I made my mom postpone our wedding.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That's where we're going. But first, we usually spend five
- 1:58Speaker 1: minutes going, now, what is it? There's 2,000, and we
- 2:01Speaker 1: went to the, and so we'll spend. So it's just umpteen,
- 2:04Speaker 1: eventually ump20. Is that a thing? Ump20. Anyway, it's been
- 2:09Speaker 1: a long damn time. decades we've been coming to Wonderfest
- 2:12Speaker 1: because it's awesome and we are glad to be back.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah. It is home.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's a second home of all the conventions. Like this
- 2:20Speaker 1: is the one I'm just so used to. I just
- 2:23Speaker 1: ease on in and know where things are unless they
- 2:25Speaker 1: change things. Which confuses me.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't like change.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I mean it wasn't their doing. The hotel got remodeled
- 2:31Speaker 1: so now there's like a wall where there wasn't a
- 2:32Speaker 1: wall and there's things and people and a difference. But
- 2:37Speaker 1: it's very confusing. But other than that you know. I
- 2:39Speaker 1: don't like change. They're awesome and all.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Change is part of the reason I'm out of paper.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I don't have change or paper bills.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Well, because the place that used to have, see, this
- 2:48Speaker 2: is another one that used to bring us in. I
- 2:50Speaker 2: used to have to go to the health fair.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I did ask you before we were setting this up.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I was like, what time do you have a A
- 2:56Speaker 1: men's fair, a women's fair, a book fair. There's always
- 2:58Speaker 1: some sort of fair you're going to before.
- 2:59Speaker 2: You get the Winterfest. Well, the hospital that used to
- 3:01Speaker 2: have the men's health fair that I would attend every
- 3:03Speaker 2: year to get my paper and pens and clips and
- 3:06Speaker 2: all assorted shenanigans.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Papers, like you're being stopped by Nazis. Papers? You're like,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I got a free pen too, buddy.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I got to make my grocery list on something, dude.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I don't go to the grocery, but I need to
- 3:17Speaker 2: make the list.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I put it in digital, like. I got a fancy
- 3:21Speaker 1: phone app.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Jay breaks it down old school style. Pen and paper.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He is old school.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yes, he is. But now we're running out of paper
- 3:27Speaker 2: because there wasn't a mental health fair. Because the hospital
- 3:29Speaker 2: that had the health fair is now a different hospital.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And apparently the new hospital doesn't care about the health fair.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm guessing they still make paper. Would you be opposed
- 3:37Speaker 1: to buying a padded paper?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Oh, that goes against all my religious beliefs.
- 3:39Speaker 1: That's what I kind of figured. You are a collector
- 3:43Speaker 1: of free things.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I love free shit. I don't care what it is.
- 3:46Speaker 2: If it's free, give me that shit.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Yes, I'm not surprised by that statement.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Change has come this year. And I don't like it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, what are you going to do?
- 3:56Speaker 2: So we can no longer buy groceries because we can
- 3:58Speaker 2: no longer make lists. Because the health fair.
- 4:00Speaker 1: As you two starved to death, it's the health fair's fault.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It's the hospital's fault for not having the health fair.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I mean, sometimes they give things away at that other
- 4:12Speaker 1: harvest homecoming. Maybe you got to wait until the fall.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Then I have my free bag and my free cup.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It changes colors.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Sometimes pins. My pokey stick that I use for texting.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Because I'm an old man. I got to have a
- 4:24Speaker 1: pokey stick because I can't hit them old buttons.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Last year. Holy shit. The fucking thing happened that I've
- 4:30Speaker 2: been waiting my entire life for.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Oh, I think I know where you're going.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I got a yardstick.
- 4:35Speaker 1: At Harvest Homecoming, right?
- 4:36Speaker 2: At the Harvest Homecoming. Okay.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Because you don't get one at the fair. Fuck no.
- 4:40Speaker 2: The fair is like, no, you don't get a damn yardstick.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Other people were.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Walking around with them. So somewhere somebody's giving one out,
- 4:45Speaker 1: but they won't give one to you.
- 4:46Speaker 2: They won't. Do I look untrustworthy with a yardstick? Kind of.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I feel like you'd be smacking passersby.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I would. I just would.
- 4:54Speaker 1: That's why they won't give you one.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but last year, Harvest Homecoming, props. You gave me
- 4:59Speaker 2: a fucking yardstick. And now I have fulfilled my old
- 5:02Speaker 2: lady destiny. I have a yardstick. I do my cross stitch.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I am set for life.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I mean, it's old just because you're calling it a yardstick.
- 5:09Speaker 1: If we were cool and fancy, it'd be a meter stick.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Fuck that. We're weird old America.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I'm American.
- 5:15Speaker 1: We do things wrong.
- 5:16Speaker 2: No, we do it right.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We want the square one. We don't want things that
- 5:19Speaker 1: are even and make sense. The whole rest.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Of the world does shit wrong. America, fucking hell.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I mean, metric makes sense. I've said that from day one.
- 5:29Speaker 1: As soon as they explained it to me, I was like, oh, well,
- 5:30Speaker 1: that is a better system.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You know what?
- 5:32Speaker 1: And then I was like, but I'm not going to
- 5:33Speaker 1: learn things. I'll figure out a two liter. If you
- 5:37Speaker 1: ease them in specific things where I can drink soda
- 5:41Speaker 1: and whatnot, I might learn something along the way, but
- 5:43Speaker 1: For the most part, I'm still too dumb to understand metrics.
- 5:48Speaker 2: How many yards are in a two liter?
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'll have to check the Googles.
- 5:53Speaker 2: How do you even Google that?
- 5:54Speaker 1: I mean, do you want to? We can.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I wonder what the Google would say.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Let's find out.
- 6:02Speaker 2: How many yards are in a two liter?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Let's turn it up and see if it answers for real. Okay.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Go back to the Googles. How many yards are in
- 6:13Speaker 1: a two liter?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Two liters is 0.00262 yards. To convert from liters to yards,
- 6:22Speaker 2: divide unit of volume by approximately 764.6.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Ha!
- 6:24Speaker 2: She mathed on your ass. Took her a second, though.
- 6:30Speaker 1: She's like, oh, what are these idiots asking now? They
- 6:33Speaker 1: must be Americans. Don't know how to metric shit.
- 6:37Speaker 2: This is going to be the podcast from now on.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Us asking Google stupid shit. I mean, it's a lateral move.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Let's just put it that way. What's the square root
- 6:48Speaker 2: of that tree?
- 6:48Speaker 1: I don't know what tree you're talking about.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Can you take a picture of the tree?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Well, then I'll have to image it and see if
- 6:58Speaker 1: I can reference find another tree that's similar to that one.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And then maybe that one's from like Europe and it'll know.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Be like, oh, that tree has 48 gallons.
- 7:08Speaker 2: This is getting cut, isn't it?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Sadly, no.
- 7:14Speaker 2: If I say extra dumb shit, let's just take into
- 7:15Speaker 2: account that I got hit in the head the other
- 7:17Speaker 2: day in a car wreck. Who knows what's going to happen?
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's true. You did have an impact to your brain
- 7:23Speaker 1: more than usual. Normally, all the head trauma is J.
- 7:28Speaker 1: This time, it was you.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I was in a car wreck. Some jackass hit
- 7:31Speaker 2: and ran.
- 7:33Speaker 1: People suck.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I hate people.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Have I mentioned people suck? I think I have.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So anyways, yeah, I was dizzy yesterday.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's not good. You might need to see a medical professional.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I've been okay today.
- 7:45Speaker 1: All right then.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Aside from asking silly ass questions like leaders and trees
- 7:49Speaker 2: and whatever.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So back to our other intro.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Wonderfest.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I tried to kill it because we do it too
- 7:58Speaker 1: much and it was out of control. And every year
- 8:00Speaker 1: we'd be like, and then that one time. See, I
- 8:02Speaker 1: started trying to feed it and just mislead things and
- 8:05Speaker 1: be like, remember that time your mom married George Romero?
- 8:08Speaker 1: And so, we were just trying to throw people off
- 8:11Speaker 1: for a while. And I was like, good, maybe we
- 8:13Speaker 1: can not intro with weird wedding nonsense.
- 8:15Speaker 2: She just had our anniversary weekend this time, and she's
- 8:18Speaker 2: out of town. She went to the beach.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And then this year happened. So, now, by design, we'll
- 8:25Speaker 1: have to sidetrack here.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Are you marrying George Romero?
- 8:28Speaker 1: By design, if only. Wait, is Mrs.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Romero?
- 8:31Speaker 1: She was still around. Maybe I can take over the
- 8:35Speaker 1: Romero empire. I will make all zombie movies from here
- 8:40Speaker 1: on out. They will all end in Of the Dead.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Well, duh.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Mall of the Dead. We're going to do a part
- 8:46Speaker 1: two of part two.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Wonderfest of the Dead.
- 8:52Speaker 1: So, to preface the fact that, and anybody, I don't
- 8:57Speaker 1: know why you're listening at this point, but anybody listening
- 9:00Speaker 1: will know at this point we've fractured off our peoples.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And it was by design because nobody wanted to do
- 9:06Speaker 1: it all the damn time. And eventually we got to
- 9:08Speaker 1: where only people were doing this, and you'll do this,
- 9:11Speaker 1: and you'll do this. And it was just easier, and
- 9:13Speaker 1: that's the way they liked it half the time anyway.
- 9:14Speaker 1: It was like, I just want to watch horror movies.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Leave me alone. So we sectioned off into little ones.
- 9:20Speaker 1: So as I say this person, they're on the show
- 9:22Speaker 1: all the time, but I don't think you've ever crossed
- 9:25Speaker 1: paths with them. So Nora has become a full-on regular
- 9:29Speaker 1: cast member and is on more than most people these days.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So she's become our go-to. She's super cool. She's into horror.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And this year.
- 9:39Speaker 2: She's marrying George Romero?
- 9:40Speaker 1: She found... He's about as cool. That's the thing. She
- 9:44Speaker 1: found some dude. And at first we were like, I
- 9:46Speaker 1: don't know about this. I think the horror club has
- 9:49Speaker 1: to approve any incoming dudes.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Is she marrying my mom?
- 9:52Speaker 1: And then I was like, turns out we like this dude.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So we approved. And then she could go on with it. So... okay, whatever.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Then she had some like a engagement party and that
- 10:04Speaker 1: was weird going there and having to interact with people.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And so, you know, Philip and I sat in the
- 10:08Speaker 1: corner and didn't talk to anyone. But then finally the
- 10:12Speaker 1: invitation came and I'm like, all right, whatever. I guess
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm going to have to go to this thing and
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm writing it on the calendar. Guess what day it's on?
- 10:20Speaker 2: Today!
- 10:20Speaker 1: Today! Wonderfest weekend! She's getting married on Wonderfest day. Did
- 10:25Speaker 1: she not listen to all the old episodes? We went
- 10:28Speaker 1: into this whole thing of like, look, you can't have
- 10:30Speaker 1: your wedding at the same time as Wonderfest. We might
- 10:33Speaker 1: have to hang out with George Romero or some other
- 10:35Speaker 1: random people.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I didn't see Greg Nicotero in there.
- 10:39Speaker 1: He's here somewhere. Actually, he was giving a talk because
- 10:41Speaker 1: they said it earlier when I got in here. He
- 10:43Speaker 1: was doing a like, 40 years in the industry.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I was just thinking if I had to marry anybody
- 10:48Speaker 2: in there.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You're going with Greg?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Because he's a rock star.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And he owns restaurants, so money rolling in from different avenues.
- 10:57Speaker 2: With greasy hair.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yes, I think he's legally changed his name. Even when
- 11:03Speaker 1: he's in Paris, people are like, oh, you. Whatever, dude. So, yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: that was my thing. I was like, of all weekends
- 11:13Speaker 1: for you to decide to get married on, what the hell?
- 11:16Speaker 2: It's a nice day to do, though.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I'm hoping it stays this way.
- 11:19Speaker 2: As far as weather, I mean.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Because later they were talking about, like, rain, and I know,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I don't think they were hoping for rain.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Rain's good luck on a wedding. Isn't it ironic?
- 11:28Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It's not, actually.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Nothing in that song is ironic. It's just shitty.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Well, she made money off of it, so take that, suckers. Anyway.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I have a big issue with that song. I fucking
- 11:43Speaker 2: hate that song. Nothing in there is ironic.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Not a goddamn thing. It's just shitty luck.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Oh!
- 11:47Speaker 1: Like her and all but that is like the least
- 11:49Speaker 1: of those songs of that era i'm like that one's
- 11:52Speaker 1: weird but it's awful fuck that song otherwise she seems
- 11:56Speaker 1: cool enough as canadian chicks go but anyway yes i
- 12:02Speaker 1: i was like now Not only do I have to
- 12:05Speaker 1: go to Wonderfest and deal with my, you know, interacting
- 12:08Speaker 1: with humans and whatnot.
- 12:09Speaker 2: There were so many people in there today.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But then I have to go and, like, change and
- 12:13Speaker 1: put on, like, monkey clothes and go to a wedding.
- 12:16Speaker 2: What the hell, Nora? Like, literally a monkey outfit? Because
- 12:19Speaker 2: that would be awesome. What the hell?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Actually, I did. And she was sending out, like, rules. Because,
- 12:25Speaker 1: you know, she knows the two of us will be
- 12:27Speaker 1: there and we're children, essentially. So, like, she was sending
- 12:29Speaker 1: out rules to everybody. But, of course... Being the weirdos.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I was like, um... Because I think they made a rule,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and I like this. I think you will totally approve
- 12:39Speaker 1: of this.
- 12:40Speaker 2: No children. Fucking A.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Who brings a baby to a wedding?
- 12:45Speaker 1: They'll be crying, and kids will be running around being obnoxious.
- 12:48Speaker 2: At what age do they draw the line? What? At
- 12:51Speaker 2: what age do they draw the line? I'm in my 40s,
- 12:53Speaker 2: but I still feel like a child.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you might not qualify. But, I don't know, maybe
- 12:56Speaker 1: we have to give a test at the beginning, and
- 12:58Speaker 1: they'll like... hold out some legos and you'll be like
- 13:01Speaker 1: nope get out so i don't know maybe there's a
- 13:04Speaker 1: test on the way in and i'm gonna fail but as.
- 13:07Speaker 2: You have to offer to share your cookies to make
- 13:09Speaker 2: it in there because then you're screwed i don't fucking
- 13:11Speaker 2: share my cookies with anybody.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So then the other rule was as we were asking
- 13:16Speaker 1: ridiculous follow-up question mine was like how about a howler
- 13:18Speaker 1: monkey can i bring a howler monkey of course yes
- 13:23Speaker 1: fine whatever And I was like, is it okay if
- 13:27Speaker 1: he's in? Somebody has to ask, does he have to
- 13:29Speaker 1: wear a tuxedo? And I'm like, well, I expect him to.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I mean, it would be ridiculous for me to bring
- 13:35Speaker 1: a howler monkey and not dress him up fancy.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Hold on, you have a howler monkey and you didn't
- 13:39Speaker 2: bring him to water dress with us?
- 13:40Speaker 1: Exactly. These are my questions for people. I don't think
- 13:45Speaker 1: I could afford a howler monkey, nor am I responsible
- 13:47Speaker 1: enough to take care of a monkey. So if scatters
- 13:50Speaker 1: taught us anything, don't get a monkey.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Isn't that Elvis? Pretty sure Scatter was Elvis's, which did
- 13:59Speaker 1: not have a good end, as most things around the
- 14:02Speaker 1: Presley household. As of lately, when they almost lost the
- 14:05Speaker 1: household again. So, the whole run usually goes badly eventually.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But back in the day, it was cool. Just a cool,
- 14:13Speaker 1: weird dude with a monkey. That's where I'm heading. I'm
- 14:16Speaker 1: just poor.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I am older now than Elvis was. Isn't that scary?
- 14:21Speaker 2: I made it longer than Elvis did.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Isn't that fucking weird? I don't know about this aging thing.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I mean, seriously, if you think about it, that's fucking weird. I.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Who are eternally 11.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm older than Elvis was when he passed away.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Who seemed like an old man towards the end there.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 14:40Speaker 1: He just looked rough. It's not his fault.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Drugs, dude. Drugs.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Just say no, okay? Because drugs is bad. It's bad.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Just say no, little bobcat.
- 14:47Speaker 1: That's what I keep telling people. I know. They don't listen.
- 14:51Speaker 2: It's stuck in my head all these years. I don't
- 14:53Speaker 2: know where it came from, except for you.
- 14:54Speaker 1: It came from me. Oh, if anybody knows, put it
- 14:58Speaker 1: in our comments. Send me an email.
- 15:00Speaker 2: As if anybody's listening.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Oh, they're not. Especially after this ramble.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, no shit. And this is why I'm hardly ever
- 15:06Speaker 2: on the show anymore.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But.
- 15:09Speaker 2: So far off the rails.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I thought that was, yeah, that was a ridiculous coincidence
- 15:15Speaker 1: that like, obviously she wasn't listening. As we went over
- 15:18Speaker 1: this every year, you can't have a wedding on the
- 15:21Speaker 1: same day as Wonderfest. We got stuff to do. We
- 15:23Speaker 1: don't have time for weddings.
- 15:25Speaker 2: My mom is still married, so apparently it came.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Out good for her. Maybe it is good luck. So far,
- 15:30Speaker 1: like I said, I approve of the dude. So we're
- 15:32Speaker 1: on the right track. She's found a good, solid dude.
- 15:36Speaker 1: He's kind of a goof. I like that. And getting
- 15:39Speaker 1: married on Wonderfest, so maybe they got a shot.
- 15:41Speaker 2: She doesn't come to Wonderfest, though.
- 15:42Speaker 1: No, but it doesn't matter. Neither did your mom. So
- 15:46Speaker 1: there you go. It's all come full circle. They're going
- 15:49Speaker 1: to make it.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Was her wedding originally planned for like right now and
- 15:52Speaker 2: you made her?
- 15:53Speaker 1: That's the thing. I was like, luckily, I will give
- 15:55Speaker 1: her credit. She did have it later in the day,
- 15:58Speaker 1: like you're supposed to. In case you need to go
- 16:01Speaker 1: hang out with a zombie type dude early in the day,
- 16:04Speaker 1: put your wedding later in the day. So that way
- 16:07Speaker 1: it can all happen.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I mean, can you imagine how much I would never
- 16:10Speaker 2: let it go if she'd maybe miss George Romero for
- 16:12Speaker 2: her wedding?
- 16:13Speaker 1: You would have given her shit forever. Duh.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Especially once he passed away. I'd be like, dude.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Well, I could have seen him, mom. Would have been
- 16:22Speaker 1: a lot of that. I feel like since he was
- 16:24Speaker 1: in the area, you should have gone there, picked him up,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and taken him. Like, this is my plus one, George Romero.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And everybody would be like, who the fuck's this little guy?
- 16:34Speaker 2: With the big ass glasses.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Shut up. Shut up, he's cool. You guys are lame
- 16:38Speaker 1: because you don't know who George Romero is.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Lame. I don't come from a big movie horror fan family.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Nobody knows anything anymore. I try making my references. I
- 16:48Speaker 1: know I'm wasting my time. I really don't. Well, I
- 16:53Speaker 1: throw them out there knowing they're not going to land
- 16:56Speaker 1: and then wait to see that I'm right, which I'm
- 16:59Speaker 1: pretty much always right. What are you going to do?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Regular folk. They're weird.
- 17:10Speaker 5: So.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Wonderfest. Wonderfest. It's awesome. I saw things. Look, I bought
- 17:15Speaker 1: a thing. He's right here.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I know. I had to lend you a dollar. I
- 17:18Speaker 2: gave you a dollar.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It's okay. He's a Godzilla, but he's unofficially a Lego Godzilla. Shh,
- 17:25Speaker 1: don't tell Lego. Because they don't already have all the money.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Because they do. It's all mine.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I came this year. I was all prepared to buy
- 17:32Speaker 2: me some tiny little Godzillas for my boyfriend because he
- 17:34Speaker 2: loves Godzilla and the little ones.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And this is the first place we started seeing those.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Back before there were other conventions, we were coming to Wonderfest.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And they had nothing but little Godzillas and then big
- 17:45Speaker 1: Godzillas and models of Godzillas. And now this year, what
- 17:48Speaker 1: did you find? None.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Goddamn, none.
- 17:51Speaker 1: What the hell's up with that?
- 17:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:53Speaker 1: People, get your stuff. That's what I said in there.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I was like, especially this year because we've had a
- 17:58Speaker 1: one-two punch of new Godzilla movies of legit one that
- 18:02Speaker 1: people loved and then like a big crazy popular one.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Maybe it all got bought out and there was no
- 18:07Speaker 2: more shit to bring.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I guess so. Maybe their last couple of stops, people
- 18:09Speaker 1: were like, give me all your Godzillas. And now They
- 18:13Speaker 1: don't have no Godzilla.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I was like, what? I'm like, I want to be
- 18:18Speaker 2: a good girlfriend. I'm going to buy a boyfriend some
- 18:20Speaker 2: cute little Godzillas and he's going to be happy and
- 18:22Speaker 2: I'll be a good girlfriend. And goddammit, they shut me down.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Let's just pick him some random crap. Be like, here,
- 18:28Speaker 1: watch something. He'll be like, what the hell is this?
- 18:32Speaker 1: I'll pick some anime crap that even he doesn't know.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And he's the best of the three of us, probably.
- 18:37Speaker 2: But, yeah, I was so, because, you know, the little
- 18:39Speaker 2: bitty ones, do you still have the, you don't have
- 18:41Speaker 2: the little Rodan in your bag anymore?
- 18:43Speaker 1: No, I think that was a different bag. He's on,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I think he's sitting next to my TV now.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Okay, cool.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I found him and, like, relocated him so I could
- 18:49Speaker 1: see him more often, because Rodan's awesome.
- 18:51Speaker 2: I mean, there was, like, one or two cute Godzilla,
- 18:53Speaker 2: but they weren't, like, tiny. Like, the ones we saw
- 18:54Speaker 2: that were, like, ten bucks a piece, I'm like, that's
- 18:56Speaker 2: pretty cute.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Again, those were all, like, imported. Yeah, but I think those, like,
- 18:58Speaker 1: they have those on all the... Because they'd all have
- 19:00Speaker 1: crazy writings on them, and I'd be like, I don't
- 19:01Speaker 1: know what this says, but I'm assuming it's Godzilla.
- 19:03Speaker 2: They have them on AliExpress and I was going to
- 19:05Speaker 2: get them off there because they had the same ones
- 19:06Speaker 2: that they just fucking had in there for ten bucks.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Because I saw them on here and I was going
- 19:10Speaker 2: to get them and I'm like, ooh, look at that Godzilla.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Is it cheaper? It's probably cheaper on AliExpress because most
- 19:15Speaker 2: things are.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'd say normally that stuff's a knockoff but
- 19:18Speaker 1: they are not like the original ones are kind of.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I'm sure they're not licensed. I'm sure it's just some
- 19:23Speaker 1: weird dude with a plastic machine making a Godzilla that
- 19:25Speaker 1: didn't pay Toho any money. So, it's fine. Some knockoff
- 19:32Speaker 1: things are acceptable.
- 19:33Speaker 2: See, for like, I could get the whole damn set
- 19:36Speaker 2: for $ 35. There you go. Fucking free shipping.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Of course it is. Well, see, mine, this, mine's knockoff Lego,
- 19:49Speaker 1: which I'm going with. but that's a tie-in because i
- 19:52Speaker 1: was gonna tell you today but i figured i might
- 19:54Speaker 1: as well just tell everybody i was sort of telling
- 19:56Speaker 1: on the last episode after we wrapped up i was
- 19:58Speaker 1: like because sam is the only other one that cares
- 20:00Speaker 1: about my obsession with lego but i think he likes
- 20:03Speaker 1: the fact here's my thing because i've i have several
- 20:06Speaker 1: people that i know that are into lego i have
- 20:09Speaker 1: people that i'm related to that have now like revealed
- 20:11Speaker 1: they're like they're liking legos but they treat them like
- 20:14Speaker 1: models like they get the model looking ones that are
- 20:17Speaker 1: like make a car that's like a big giant car
- 20:20Speaker 1: and i'm like that doesn't have minifigs in it unless
- 20:23Speaker 1: there's a minifigure i can put in and make them
- 20:25Speaker 1: doing a cool thing what are you wasting my time
- 20:28Speaker 1: for so i've realized i mean i've realized this years
- 20:31Speaker 1: ago when i started trying to get back into it
- 20:33Speaker 1: again mine is like a god complex What I want
- 20:36Speaker 1: to do is build this whole alternate little world and
- 20:40Speaker 1: then have all these little people and I'm in control
- 20:43Speaker 1: of every stupid thing they do. And I'm going to
- 20:46Speaker 1: make this world as weird and ridiculous as I want.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And I make up the rules and I do whatever
- 20:51Speaker 1: I want. So this is also why, like, as I'm
- 20:54Speaker 1: becoming more and more antisocial. I'm just going to stay
- 20:57Speaker 1: home and be God of my own little world.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So I'd kind of tapered off and I wasn't as into,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I just, I went with post-apocalyptic for
- 21:08Speaker 1: a while. Cause I got, I mean, I did go
- 21:11Speaker 1: in the hole to get myself an apocalypse Berg because
- 21:14Speaker 1: that thing is awesome. Like that is, that will be
- 21:16Speaker 1: on display forever. That's one of the best sets they've
- 21:18Speaker 1: ever done. It's ridiculous how cool it is. But, and
- 21:22Speaker 1: then I went down that like post-apocalyptic Lego world. But
- 21:25Speaker 1: then after a while, like, he can't build stuff because
- 21:26Speaker 1: everything's got to be falling apart. And it's really hard,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I've realized, to do a Lego set that's not totally
- 21:32Speaker 1: put together, that doesn't look like it's falling apart because
- 21:35Speaker 1: of post-apocalyptic destruction and just kind of looks like he
- 21:38Speaker 1: didn't finish. So I was like, well, this isn't working.
- 21:41Speaker 1: So after a while, I kind of was like, ah,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I can't afford it anyway. I'll just not do anything
- 21:46Speaker 1: for a while. And I didn't get stuff. And then
- 21:49Speaker 1: I saw there was still a set that I thought
- 21:50Speaker 1: they'd retired. And I was like, ah, damn it. If
- 21:53Speaker 1: I get that. I could do that other thing I
- 21:55Speaker 1: wanted to do. So now it's like alternate universe, kind
- 22:01Speaker 1: of a Blade Runner-esque dystopian future. Because I want it
- 22:06Speaker 1: to still have buildings and normal stuff, but it's kind
- 22:09Speaker 1: of got to be slightly futuristic. But not that futuristic.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And it's not totally run down post-apocalyptic, but they have
- 22:16Speaker 1: some high-tech future things too. So it's a nice little
- 22:19Speaker 1: balance of whatever the hell I want to put in there,
- 22:21Speaker 1: plus lots of robots. So I got robots running around
- 22:24Speaker 1: doing all kinds of stuff.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I'm iffy on robots.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Well, that's my plan. Because I did it today. I
- 22:29Speaker 1: was like, here's your donut shop. And the person behind
- 22:32Speaker 1: the counter is going to be a robot. Because normal humans,
- 22:35Speaker 1: we're spoiled. We don't want that lame service job. Because
- 22:38Speaker 1: this is kind of where we're going in the real world.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So as robots take our jobs because we don't want
- 22:43Speaker 1: to do them because we're lazy and spoiled, then eventually
- 22:45Speaker 1: they'll realize humans suck and they'll just take us out.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And that's my plan.
- 22:50Speaker 2: So.
- 22:51Speaker 1: So far, the robots aren't going bad, but we're having
- 22:53Speaker 1: problems with the attachments for the people, the cyborg people
- 22:58Speaker 1: that are getting parts put on. It's affecting their brains. Oh, yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm coming up with my own storylines. This is sad.
- 23:04Speaker 1: This is what I do with my time.
- 23:06Speaker 2: It's better than some people.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That's what I figure, at least by the end. That's
- 23:10Speaker 1: my other thing for my alternate future world. The currency
- 23:14Speaker 1: will be Lego because those things do not lose value.
- 23:18Speaker 1: No matter what one you get, then you could pay,
- 23:20Speaker 1: like your change would be the little two ones, and
- 23:22Speaker 1: then you need something that's $ 50, you give them this
- 23:25Speaker 1: whole big set.
- 23:26Speaker 2: In the fancy, you get the little Lego coins. The
- 23:28Speaker 2: little Lego treasure chest.
- 23:29Speaker 1: That could happen. I do have a treasure chest. The
- 23:32Speaker 1: coins always disappear, though. They're hard to keep track of.
- 23:34Speaker 1: They don't really latch.
- 23:35Speaker 2: They don't really connect to anything.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you just got to put them in the thing
- 23:38Speaker 1: and close the lid. The lid doesn't really latch, so yeah.
- 23:42Speaker 1: These are rough times in Lego world. But yeah, I
- 23:44Speaker 1: was just like, looking at these sets that came out
- 23:47Speaker 1: like 10 years ago that are now like $ 700. I
- 23:50Speaker 1: was like, this shit does not depreciate. If ever there
- 23:53Speaker 1: was a solid business plan, fucking buy Legos, man, because
- 23:57Speaker 1: I can't afford new ones, let alone the retired ones.
- 24:01Speaker 1: It is out of control. So anyway, that's my tie-in.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm taking all different weird things from slightly futuristic movies
- 24:08Speaker 1: and I'm trying to put them in there and come
- 24:10Speaker 1: up with a stupid plot device that is giving the
- 24:15Speaker 1: narrative of the whole scene.
- 24:16Speaker 2: How long until you're making your own Lego movies?
- 24:19Speaker 1: I mean, aside from the one I already did. I
- 24:22Speaker 1: did our promo for the Horror Club, Is Us As Legos,
- 24:26Speaker 1: and then you've got us doing the voiceover that's just
- 24:28Speaker 1: taken straight out of the show, but all the animation
- 24:32Speaker 1: is done by me. Is it stop motion?
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yeah. It's not bad.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I mean, I'm a pretty harsh critic of my own shit,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm pretty happy with this.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It's not bad. Like this one time when I was
- 24:43Speaker 2: a kid, me and my cousin Josh did stop motion
- 24:46Speaker 2: American Gladiators.
- 24:48Speaker 1: This does not surprise me.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 1: But no, I mean, you can't do like official Lego
- 24:53Speaker 1: movie with the mouth moving. There are people, there are
- 24:56Speaker 1: nerds that are online that can like animate it or
- 24:59Speaker 1: you can like, but there's, I don't know. So we
- 25:01Speaker 1: just sit there and you just look at a person
- 25:03Speaker 1: without their mouth moving.
- 25:04Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Or ventriloquists? Yes. Everyone in there is a ventriloquist. Occasionally
- 25:10Speaker 1: their face could change. But you couldn't do it enough
- 25:13Speaker 1: to actually, because you'd have to have the right head
- 25:15Speaker 1: in like 40 different versions to be able to make
- 25:17Speaker 1: it actually talk and do it stop motion. So until
- 25:20Speaker 1: Lego wants to come on board with me and finance
- 25:22Speaker 1: this project, I got to just do, yeah, it's just
- 25:24Speaker 1: a still face and talking. It's fine. Ventriloquist. It's all
- 25:29Speaker 1: about that. So there you go. I've been taking movie
- 25:34Speaker 1: ideas and cramming them into a Lego world. That's my
- 25:36Speaker 1: movie tie-in for that.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I haven't watched any movies at all.
- 25:40Speaker 1: That's my next question. Have you seen any movies?
- 25:41Speaker 4: Nope.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Son of a bitch. Have you done anything geek-oriented? You
- 25:46Speaker 1: did go out into the world and do things. I
- 25:48Speaker 1: don't go anywhere, but you left the area.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I went to Florida, which is not really fun.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I mean, Florida's its own little world, really.
- 25:58Speaker 2: The highlight was we did go to Bucky's and I
- 25:59Speaker 2: got their breakfast taco. Their eggs. It's eggs and brisket
- 26:04Speaker 2: in a taco. Which is technically more like a burrito.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Now I have to say it. Go ahead. Ugh, there's
- 26:09Speaker 1: egg in mine.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Which is my comment when you asked how the taco was.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Because it's like, why do they call it a taco?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Because it's literally wrapped up in like a burrito.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I mean, that's kind of what I do myself now.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Most of the time, I don't make like real food
- 26:20Speaker 1: during the week. I don't have time for that shit.
- 26:22Speaker 1: But on the weekends, I don't have anything else to do.
- 26:24Speaker 1: So I'm like, I will make. I started doing like
- 26:26Speaker 1: a burrito. But then I was like, I was also
- 26:29Speaker 1: in that mode of like in dinnertime versions, I was
- 26:32Speaker 1: making like quesadillas. So I was like, what if I
- 26:35Speaker 1: took the burrito and then I put it on the
- 26:38Speaker 1: fire over here and it's like a grilled burrito. It's
- 26:41Speaker 1: almost kind of like a quesadilla, but it's also got
- 26:44Speaker 1: fat stuff in it.
- 26:45Speaker 2: So it's a burrito. Remember that one they used to
- 26:46Speaker 2: have at Taco Bell?
- 26:47Speaker 1: The grilled stuff burrito?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:49Speaker 1: It was really good. Then they changed the thing. Because
- 26:53Speaker 1: I used to get that all the time. Number one,
- 26:55Speaker 1: they jacked up the price. This was before the recent.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Now everything's a fucking fortune. It is ridiculous how much
- 27:00Speaker 1: Taco Bell is right now. But it used to be
- 27:04Speaker 1: an affordable version, and it was really good, and it
- 27:06Speaker 1: had some sort of magical sauce that they'd dump in there,
- 27:08Speaker 1: and it was great.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I didn't have sauce in mine, I don't think. It
- 27:10Speaker 2: had rice in it, though, didn't it?
- 27:11Speaker 1: It did have rice in it. Yeah. But then they changed.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I went there one time, didn't know any better, went
- 27:17Speaker 1: in and was like, hey, Grilled Stuff Burrito. They were like, okay.
- 27:19Speaker 1: First of all, it was like three times as expensive.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And it became like a steak version. Like, you could
- 27:25Speaker 1: only get, I don't even think they would do the grilled,
- 27:28Speaker 1: like the beef or however. Like, I think it just
- 27:30Speaker 1: came as like a double the steak, except the steak
- 27:32Speaker 1: wasn't really good. And then like the sauce was either
- 27:35Speaker 1: gone or they changed it with some other thing and
- 27:37Speaker 1: it had a weird flavor. And I was like, what
- 27:40Speaker 1: have you done to your grilled stuff?
- 27:42Speaker 2: I'm still incredibly angry at Taco Bell for having getting
- 27:45Speaker 2: rid of the double decker taco.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I thought they came back.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Did they? They brought back the Mexican pizza.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They brought back the Mexican pizza because I didn't realize
- 27:53Speaker 1: I liked those as much until they went away and
- 27:55Speaker 1: I was like, son of a bitch, I did get
- 27:56Speaker 1: those sometimes. So now I'm kind of glad it's back.
- 27:59Speaker 4: It is.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I mean, you have to take out a loan to
- 28:01Speaker 1: go to Taco Bell because I swear if you get
- 28:03Speaker 1: like three things, it's like $ 20 now. If you get
- 28:08Speaker 1: a value meal and add a thing... It's like $ 70. 99
- 28:12Speaker 1: for one person at Taco Bell is $ 20. This is
- 28:15Speaker 1: out of control.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I used to fucking love the Double Decker Taco Bell.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And Boyfriend will go on. Enchiritos.
- 28:23Speaker 1: The old Enchirito was pretty damn good, I gotta say.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I thought there was a version now, but it's kind
- 28:27Speaker 1: of different.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I don't like different.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Again, as we said today, they moved the water dish
- 28:33Speaker 1: and we can't find it now and we're confused. Leave
- 28:35Speaker 1: our stuff alone, man.
- 28:36Speaker 2: You're gonna stick your face under the water bottle filler.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't even have a water fountain. There's a
- 28:41Speaker 1: water bottle and you can shove your hand in it
- 28:43Speaker 1: and rinse your hand off, but if you don't have
- 28:45Speaker 1: a bottle, you gotta pretend like you're at the pond.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'm drinking out the pond. Yeah. Changing stuff.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Double-decker tacos. That's the only kind of tacos I'll make now.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Yeah. They did make the home version. Maybe that's why
- 29:03Speaker 1: they quit doing it. Because I don't know if Taco
- 29:06Speaker 1: Bell sponsored it, but like the other one, El Paso
- 29:08Speaker 1: or somebody made their own at-home how to make a
- 29:11Speaker 1: double-decker taco. They just give you both versions of, here's
- 29:14Speaker 1: a hard show, here's a soft show.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Get to it. I don't think they actually planned for
- 29:18Speaker 2: people to make double-decker tacos. They're just like, here, make
- 29:20Speaker 2: a whole bunch of tacos.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I thought there was one they marketed like that, though.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I don't know. Either way, I mean, if you got
- 29:27Speaker 1: a little sense to, you can figure it out.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm screwed, then. But yes, Bucky's breakfast, it was, like
- 29:33Speaker 2: I said, eggs. brisket wrapped in a tortilla that was
- 29:37Speaker 2: really fresh tasting. Oh my God. See, I was worried
- 29:39Speaker 2: at first. I'm like, are they going to have barbecue
- 29:41Speaker 2: sauce on it? Because usually when you buy the brisket,
- 29:43Speaker 2: it's like smothered in barbecue sauce.
- 29:45Speaker 1: It's pre-barbecue sauce.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Which is fucking delicious. But I'm thinking, do I want
- 29:48Speaker 2: that for breakfast? Eggs and barbecue sauce. But no, it
- 29:51Speaker 2: is un-barbecue sauced and just brisket and eggs. Mm-hmm.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to argue about that.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Meat and eggs.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I'd have some of that.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Hell yeah, it was good, too. Costs like seven damn dollars.
- 30:04Speaker 1: There you go. Once again, not cheap wherever you go.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Fucking A. Food is out of control.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I know. Why are we still eating?
- 30:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Usually I feel gross, too. I was like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: can they just give me, again, future world, can they
- 30:15Speaker 1: just give me pills? Can I just have future astronaut food?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Can I just eat toothpaste tubes full of whatever the
- 30:21Speaker 1: hell is going to make me not keel over? Just
- 30:24Speaker 1: substantive sustenance. That's all I need.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I know, right? Luckily, I got food at home, so
- 30:28Speaker 2: I ain't got to worry about that today. Because with
- 30:30Speaker 2: car repairs, I'm kind of broke right now. Which may
- 30:32Speaker 2: be a good thing. I didn't find anything good at
- 30:34Speaker 2: the Wonderfest.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I'm broke all the time. This is why I get
- 30:38Speaker 1: in trouble buying the most expensive thing in the world. Yeah. Like,
- 30:42Speaker 1: let's have this as your thing you're into. Like, goddammit.
- 30:45Speaker 1: You guys are too freaking expensive.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I've been lately obsessed with buying a specific face of
- 30:49Speaker 2: Barbie doll. The Steffy Face Barbie. That's all I want.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Everything else could fuck right on off.
- 30:56Speaker 1: She had a resting Steffy Face.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Oh, she's the prettiest one.
- 30:59Speaker 1: She's the one.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It was my favorite Barbie when I was growing up.
- 31:02Speaker 2: One of my favorite Barbies when I was growing up.
- 31:03Speaker 2: She had the Steffy Face. That's not, you know.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Her face.
- 31:07Speaker 5: That face.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Alright, alright. I can see getting into that.
- 31:12Speaker 2: So yeah, that's my new thing. Collecting Steffy Face Barbies.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I haven't gone down the Barbie road. I'm sticking with
- 31:18Speaker 1: Legos at this point. But I can see that as
- 31:20Speaker 1: an option for someone.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. So I have a whole shelf full of stuffy
- 31:24Speaker 2: face Barbie dolls right now. And let me tell you,
- 31:25Speaker 2: some of those are not cheap. I don't know why.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Collectory things, I'm telling you. They know they got you
- 31:31Speaker 1: over a barrel, and they're just like, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 31:34Speaker 1: We'll charge you whatever we want for this.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Oh, because I figured, oh, I think Barbie, like the
- 31:38Speaker 2: traditional Barbie face would probably be more sought after, more collectible.
- 31:41Speaker 1: You would think.
- 31:42Speaker 2: The older versions. No, no, it's, yeah, apparently it's not.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I guess like the older, older ones when you get
- 31:49Speaker 2: into like the traditional, like the, you know, the old,
- 31:51Speaker 2: old ones.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Francie? Yeah. I think she was the first one. I
- 31:55Speaker 1: don't know. I thought she was like pre-Barney.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I'm not that far into it.
- 31:58Speaker 1: All I know is. I just remember they did a
- 31:59Speaker 1: reissued one. Again, hanging out at toy stores. I remember
- 32:02Speaker 1: they did a reissued one and I was like, who
- 32:04Speaker 1: is it? I was calling her Frenchie. I think her
- 32:06Speaker 1: name was actually like Francie or something. But she was like,
- 32:09Speaker 1: I think maybe even Mattel Maynard. And it was sort
- 32:11Speaker 1: of the one that they went, this isn't working. But
- 32:13Speaker 1: what if we retool this? And she became Millicent.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Barbara, Millicent, Roberts, thank you very much.
- 32:20Speaker 1: It's sad that I knew Millicent. Let's get real. This
- 32:24Speaker 1: is how you know you're a toy dork. I knew
- 32:26Speaker 1: Barbie's actual name.
- 32:28Speaker 2: I just busted out the whole full name.
- 32:30Speaker 1: But you are a Barbie person. That makes a little
- 32:32Speaker 1: more sense. I just hung out at toy stores all
- 32:35Speaker 1: of my life. It was better when I was getting
- 32:38Speaker 1: paid to do it. Now I just go in places
- 32:40Speaker 1: and be like, I can't afford these things. Can I
- 32:44Speaker 1: touch the Legos? Is that okay?
- 32:46Speaker 2: But it's like now that I'm like full on, I
- 32:47Speaker 2: want to collect these things, where do I get them?
- 32:50Speaker 1: They don't make toy stores no more. I hate to
- 32:52Speaker 1: tell you. You got to just loiter at the internets
- 32:55Speaker 1: or come to a convention.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I went to the Toy and Antiques mall the other day.
- 32:58Speaker 2: That's true. I found one of them.
- 33:00Speaker 1: They're pretty cool.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I found one of them there. I had the German one.
- 33:03Speaker 1: You can't afford the German one. She was on sale.
- 33:06Speaker 1: She's import prices.
- 33:07Speaker 2: $ 26.
- 33:09Speaker 1: That's not bad, I guess. For collector prices, that's not bad.
- 33:11Speaker 2: When they did American dolls of the world, so she's
- 33:15Speaker 2: made in America.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Dolls of Germany.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Well, they had Germany. I got a fucking Peruvian Barbie.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I've been obsessed with Whatnot lately.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Any kind of Whatnot?
- 33:25Speaker 2: No, just Whatnot, the website. The buy and shit site.
- 33:28Speaker 2: I bought so much shit off Whatnot.
- 33:29Speaker 1: See, I try not to get too far in on
- 33:32Speaker 1: other weird stuff. Like, I got myself in trouble enough
- 33:35Speaker 1: being back into the Lego. Like, I've now found all
- 33:38Speaker 1: of the weird knockoff. I usually don't support knockoff Lego stuff.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I like the official stuff because it's better. But I
- 33:44Speaker 1: found such weird variation things that I'm like, ah, damn it.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I might have to get some of these and work
- 33:50Speaker 1: them into my crazy ass future world.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Speak of the devil. There's a stuffy face doll on
- 33:55Speaker 2: there currently.
- 33:57Speaker 1: We're watching the video of her right now. This is
- 34:00Speaker 1: from the back. They're putting her on a stand.
- 34:02Speaker 2: I only want to show the back of the outfit.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I think I have that one already, though. How much
- 34:07Speaker 2: is she? Let's just have a thing of us watching.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I mean, I have pictures of some of the Lego fun.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Mostly because I was going to make you look at them.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Let's see if I can find my future world. Oh, $ 20!
- 34:24Speaker 2: I can keep that damn bar. That's bananas.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I did take my old-timey building and I decided my
- 34:29Speaker 1: way of making it into this bastardized, dystopian future. was
- 34:33Speaker 1: there's now a rooftop disco.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Oh, hell.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So there's the disco, and then out here's the cool
- 34:38Speaker 1: place where the patio people hang out.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Oh, God. Cool patio people. They're super cool.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Because who wants to hang out in the weird disco
- 34:44Speaker 1: people inside? The cool kids are all hanging out out front.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Obviously.
- 34:49Speaker 1: They are cool, because this girl's got cat ears on.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I've decided that's the thing. Now it's just going to be,
- 34:55Speaker 1: because before I didn't use that, because it was post-apocalyptic.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Everybody had to look like they're in rags or wearing
- 35:01Speaker 1: something that's going to murder people.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Oh, no, no, because then you're going to have your
- 35:03Speaker 2: select group of people that are still, like, you know,
- 35:06Speaker 2: fancy as shit, dude.
- 35:08Speaker 1: This one, well, I did work that into my old storyline.
- 35:11Speaker 1: I was like, even though the world has gone to hell,
- 35:14Speaker 1: there's going to be a handful of people who still
- 35:16Speaker 1: have more money than you, and they're going to make
- 35:18Speaker 1: a super fancy little world, and then they're not going
- 35:20Speaker 1: to let all the rest of this riffraff in.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Obviously.
- 35:22Speaker 1: It's like, that's how civilization works, damn it. So, but
- 35:25Speaker 1: this one, I was like, no, now I can make
- 35:27Speaker 1: use of all these cool, weird peoples and their outfits, because...
- 35:31Speaker 1: Now it's like all the cool kids. That's like everybody
- 35:34Speaker 1: in the new future society. Like that's the trend is
- 35:37Speaker 1: all the cool stuff. And it's all about nothing. But,
- 35:40Speaker 1: you know, again, it's it's the obey and consume. Buy things,
- 35:44Speaker 1: buy things. So the cool kids are all the ones
- 35:47Speaker 1: wearing fancy ass outfits. So let's see. There's the rooftop disco. Oh,
- 35:52Speaker 1: there's there's the DJ. He's a robot DJ. That's who
- 35:57Speaker 1: will take over. Mostly, I just had to tell you. Oh,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I do have mutant sushi. First of all, this sign
- 36:02Speaker 1: is freaking awesome.
- 36:03Speaker 2: That is awesome.
- 36:04Speaker 1: And then it's run by Blinky. Blinky is the owner.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I'm going to get him a robot arm so he
- 36:09Speaker 1: can roll around and still do stuff. I'm also working
- 36:13Speaker 1: in Crazy 88. I've just got to get more people.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I've just been wanting the flea market at the fairgrounds
- 36:17Speaker 2: to happen. The cool one. Why isn't that happening now
- 36:20Speaker 2: when I want stuff?
- 36:22Speaker 1: They made that outfit. I was like, that's just the bride, man.
- 36:25Speaker 1: I was like, I can't not make a bride. I've
- 36:28Speaker 1: also worked in random Tarantino people into my youth. future
- 36:31Speaker 1: universe but yeah i'm.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Currently ready for the new flea market the fairgrounds to
- 36:34Speaker 2: happen and i want it to happen right now.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I mean it was just one of those sort of
- 36:39Speaker 1: weekends because i kind of thought for a second i
- 36:41Speaker 1: was like wait is it this one oh no it's
- 36:43Speaker 1: the other one it's the other fake holiday that's kind
- 36:45Speaker 1: of a real holiday it was labor day memorial day
- 36:48Speaker 1: one of those and usually nobody remembers which is which
- 36:51Speaker 1: anyway right so i was just like is this the
- 36:52Speaker 1: one no damn it it's the other one so flea
- 36:56Speaker 1: market and that's where you got to go to get
- 36:57Speaker 1: your toys these days no doubt.
- 36:59Speaker 2: And by the time that one rolls around, I'll be
- 37:01Speaker 2: on a fucking shitty schedule and have to work on Saturdays.
- 37:04Speaker 1: What's that about?
- 37:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Jobs are dumb. I keep wanting to retire. I mean,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I don't have any money. So that's, again, the problem.
- 37:10Speaker 1: But every day I was just like, you know, if
- 37:12Speaker 1: I just got up when I wanted to and could
- 37:15Speaker 1: do the stuff I want to do. Like, is that
- 37:17Speaker 1: too much to ask? I feel like that's the way
- 37:19Speaker 1: we're supposed to live life. Wouldn't we enjoy things so
- 37:23Speaker 1: much more? But instead we have to go to stupid work.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I want to go to stupid old work. Lame. But
- 37:30Speaker 1: then how am I going to afford my Legos? This
- 37:34Speaker 1: is the give and take of life.
- 37:36Speaker 2: So we decided that I haven't watched anything. Have you
- 37:38Speaker 2: watched anything?
- 37:39Speaker 1: I have. I was getting the L list out here.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Because once again, I don't remember anything with my brain anymore.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I mean, I've watched a lot of ID channel. Like usual.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Like murdering shows? Yeah. Alright. I was just making sure.
- 37:51Speaker 1: I was like, I don't watch these channels.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Expedition X.
- 37:54Speaker 1: All I watch is... I was thinking that the other day.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I was like, most of, other than occasionally prime time,
- 38:00Speaker 1: I'll switch back to, like, network-y and see what kind
- 38:02Speaker 1: of stuff's on, which there's only one or two things
- 38:04Speaker 1: I pay attention to. But I was like, the other, like,
- 38:06Speaker 1: 75% of my life is just on me TV. So
- 38:10Speaker 1: I'm just, like, in the middle of the night when
- 38:12Speaker 1: normal people are sleeping. I'm up watching Barnaby Jones. What
- 38:17Speaker 1: the hell's that about?
- 38:17Speaker 2: Is there just, like, a carload of unsupervised children next
- 38:20Speaker 2: to us?
- 38:21Speaker 1: I mean, you don't want to have to deal with children.
- 38:23Speaker 1: You just get a car so you can put them somewhere.
- 38:25Speaker 1: You can even lock them up.
- 38:27Speaker 2: That's what's going on today. Did they at least crack
- 38:28Speaker 2: a window?
- 38:29Speaker 1: I mean, that's the rule, right? I mean, you don't
- 38:32Speaker 1: put animals in cars.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that one's trying to escape.
- 38:33Speaker 1: The children is fine. Just crack a window. They'll be fine.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure one of them is trying to escape.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Tackle them. But we don't want them, so let them run.
- 38:42Speaker 1: It's fine. But now, speaking of, I just showed you,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I added the, my, I like to sort of bastardize.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I don't want it to be totally official. I just
- 38:51Speaker 1: want a close enough version for my Lego world, so
- 38:54Speaker 1: I've got a Lego bride. That they made in a
- 38:57Speaker 1: set that, I mean, she's wearing the yellow outfit. I
- 38:59Speaker 1: was like, this is pretty much just the bride anyway. So,
- 39:02Speaker 1: it kind of made me, like, I've been thinking lately.
- 39:04Speaker 1: I was also listening to something and they were talking
- 39:06Speaker 1: about the whole one and two of Kill Bill. So,
- 39:10Speaker 1: I did go back and re-watch both of the one
- 39:12Speaker 1: and two of Kill Bill. Within the span of, like,
- 39:16Speaker 1: a ten hour period. So, almost the whole bloody affair.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I almost did it full on back to back. It's
- 39:22Speaker 1: pretty badass. I gotta say, like, of things that hold up,
- 39:25Speaker 1: it's pretty badass. Is there gonna be a three I
- 39:28Speaker 1: like that idea if he quit being a weirdo and
- 39:31Speaker 1: be like I'm gonna retire at 10 like just shut
- 39:34Speaker 1: up and make movies when you want to make movies
- 39:36Speaker 1: you don't need a stupid cap it off at 10
- 39:39Speaker 1: nonsense cause now he's like he had the one he
- 39:41Speaker 1: was gonna do and then it was gonna be the
- 39:43Speaker 1: last one 10 movies he thinks he's gonna stop at
- 39:47Speaker 1: 10 and we're up to 9 So, like, he thinks
- 39:51Speaker 1: one more movie and I'm done. Like, why? Who says?
- 39:55Speaker 1: Who cares? Look, I mean, freaking Scorsese is, like, busier
- 39:59Speaker 1: now than he ever did. He's an old man. He's
- 40:00Speaker 1: still cranking out movies. Spielberg, cranking out movies.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I guess I'm just shocked to find out he's only
- 40:05Speaker 2: done ten movies.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Well, I mean, he takes his time in between them.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I mean, the beginning, it was a couple of years.
- 40:10Speaker 1: And then after that, it would be like five or
- 40:12Speaker 1: six years would go by before he'd put something out.
- 40:15Speaker 1: So yeah, he used to space them out so much
- 40:17Speaker 1: that you might go a decade before the new Tarantino
- 40:20Speaker 1: movie would show up.
- 40:21Speaker 2: And some of them weren't worth it.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Most of them are pretty solid. I'm not talking about
- 40:25Speaker 1: Death Proof, but Death Proof is pretty iffy. I need
- 40:29Speaker 1: to rewatch it. It's been a long time since I've
- 40:31Speaker 1: seen it, but that was always the weak one. But yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 1: the last one I stand by is pretty damn impressive.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Just as like a weird hangout movie. As time goes on,
- 40:44Speaker 1: I've rewatched it, and I'm like, there's only a little
- 40:47Speaker 1: bit of story story. The rest of it is just
- 40:50Speaker 1: sort of hanging out with these characters. And in some cases,
- 40:53Speaker 1: I might not be okay with that, but I like it.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It works better the more I watch it and the
- 40:58Speaker 1: more you just sort of get into these characters. So yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 1: I'm on board with most of this stuff. But Kill Bill,
- 41:05Speaker 1: it's pretty badass. So yeah, I'm going to steal those
- 41:08Speaker 1: characters and put most of them in there. Crazy 88
- 41:11Speaker 1: roaming the streets. Slicing people up. Slightly dystopia. It's fine.
- 41:17Speaker 1: And also, Michael Madsen, when he wants to do stuff,
- 41:20Speaker 1: he's pretty good. I feel like a lot of his
- 41:22Speaker 1: other roles, like Tarantino really knows how to use him
- 41:25Speaker 1: and make him cool. And then you see him in
- 41:28Speaker 1: other stuff and you're like, oh God, what's he doing now?
- 41:31Speaker 2: Back to the Toy and Antique mall. There is a
- 41:34Speaker 2: picture in one of the aisles and I'm pretty sure
- 41:36Speaker 2: it's supposed to be Roger Moore as James Bond. But
- 41:38Speaker 2: whenever I see it, I'm like, is that Michael Madsen?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yeah. You could have your own Michael Madsen doll.
- 41:45Speaker 2: No, it's a caricature, like paint, like a drawing, like artwork.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I might have seen this, actually, now that I think
- 41:51Speaker 1: about it.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Because every time I see it, I'm like, huh, Michael Madsen,
- 41:53Speaker 2: because he's wearing like a suit. And then I'm like,
- 41:55Speaker 2: wait a second, no, it's not Michael Madsen.
- 41:57Speaker 1: What also reminded me was the building we're sitting right
- 42:00Speaker 1: next to is where we saw Michael Madsen.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 1: We ran into him at a convention. It was not Wonderfest,
- 42:06Speaker 1: so thankfully, I don't think they want anything to do
- 42:08Speaker 1: with him. But there was another one going on in
- 42:10Speaker 1: the same building at one time. And, yeah, we saw
- 42:13Speaker 1: him sitting there. We walked past him. Somebody had to
- 42:17Speaker 1: go get him, like, a very specific beverage. It was,
- 42:20Speaker 1: I don't know, RC or something. You know, something weird.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I feel like he had a weird soda pop reference
- 42:27Speaker 1: that he wanted.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I thought he was just looking up for that one
- 42:29Speaker 2: chick to hook up with.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Oh, he was definitely looking up for that one chick
- 42:31Speaker 1: to hook up with, but unofficially, allegedly. We don't really
- 42:36Speaker 1: know what happened, but he was definitely interested in this girl. So, yeah. Oh,
- 42:41Speaker 1: Michael Madsen. He can be cool in certain movies.
- 42:46Speaker 2: He looks very disgruntled in the photos with me.
- 42:47Speaker 1: He's very like.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Did you pay him for that photo? Because I think
- 42:52Speaker 1: that's why.
- 42:53Speaker 2: No, we did not.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I feel like that was a hallway shot.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Because we were with Richie. And Richie was trying to...
- 42:57Speaker 2: Because remember Richie knew... It was a whole thing.
- 43:00Speaker 1: He thinks he knows him. I'm not sure if he
- 43:03Speaker 1: really knows him. But he thinks he knows him.
- 43:04Speaker 2: He just rained on me.
- 43:05Speaker 1: That happens. What other craziness did I watch?
- 43:10Speaker 2: I did.
- 43:11Speaker 1: This is a weird one, but I want to discuss
- 43:16Speaker 1: the viewing of it, I guess, more than anything, especially now.
- 43:19Speaker 1: So it is the anniversary of Shrek 2.
- 43:22Speaker 2: I don't think I saw it.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I couldn't remember. I think we all collectively went and
- 43:28Speaker 1: saw the first one, maybe? Because I feel like I
- 43:30Speaker 1: saw the first one in the theater and was like, eh,
- 43:33Speaker 1: it's fine. Like, I was never a big Shrek fan.
- 43:35Speaker 1: I said that recently, and other people were like, like,
- 43:37Speaker 1: they were just, how dare you? And I was like,
- 43:39Speaker 1: it's not like it's great cinema. I mean, it's a fun,
- 43:44Speaker 1: pop culture-y kind of movie, but even the first one,
- 43:48Speaker 1: as I saw it in the theater, I was like, man,
- 43:49Speaker 1: this is just nothing but, like, adult humor in something
- 43:53Speaker 1: that's supposed to be for kids, basically. So, like, a
- 43:56Speaker 1: lot of it was stuff that was a little racy,
- 43:59Speaker 1: if you knew what it was. It's just veiled references
- 44:02Speaker 1: that the kids didn't get. But you were like, you know,
- 44:06Speaker 1: when the gingerbread cookie, like, spits icing at you, it's like,
- 44:09Speaker 1: bite me! Like, that's, I mean, it's layers there. It's
- 44:13Speaker 1: a little creepy. It's a little weird if you want
- 44:15Speaker 1: to think about it too much. So, it's that kind
- 44:17Speaker 1: of stuff. So, I went, they were doing, like, the
- 44:20Speaker 1: anniversary release, so I ended up seeing Shrek 2 in
- 44:23Speaker 1: a theater. which is kind of weird too. And I'm
- 44:28Speaker 1: watching it because it was like tied to like a
- 44:30Speaker 1: kid's party. And I'm watching it going, if you were
- 44:34Speaker 1: a kid, I don't know if this even makes sense
- 44:38Speaker 1: because every line is a reference. Every line that like
- 44:43Speaker 1: everything that freaking donkey says is just like a reference
- 44:47Speaker 1: to something else. He's making references. he's making a reference
- 44:49Speaker 1: to like an eighties TV show. He's like, I'm moving
- 44:52Speaker 1: on up. You know, it's like every line he says,
- 44:55Speaker 1: it's just like a pop culture reference, but they're all
- 44:57Speaker 1: 30 to 50 years old. So I was like, if
- 45:00Speaker 1: you're watching this as a kid, there's like a basic,
- 45:04Speaker 1: super generic, like storybook story, I guess, because every level
- 45:10Speaker 1: that people ever like appreciate it and thought it was
- 45:12Speaker 1: super funny. It was because it's a pop culture reference.
- 45:15Speaker 1: but they're so far removed now that no way in
- 45:19Speaker 1: hell is any kid going to have any idea what
- 45:21Speaker 1: the references are, or that they're even making a reference.
- 45:24Speaker 1: So I'm just like, I don't know, does this movie
- 45:27Speaker 1: even function as a movie anymore? If you take out
- 45:29Speaker 1: the entire structure of it being nothing but pop culture references,
- 45:34Speaker 1: does it even function as a fairytale movie? I mean,
- 45:36Speaker 1: it kind of basically does. But I was like, I
- 45:39Speaker 1: kind of want to go and ask the kids that
- 45:41Speaker 1: were there and be like, Did any of this make
- 45:43Speaker 1: sense to you? Why do you think he said this?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Because I know what it's a reference to. But you're
- 45:48Speaker 1: not gonna. So why does it seem like this person.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Because all of them really. Donkey does it the most.
- 45:53Speaker 1: But everybody makes all these references to other things. To
- 45:57Speaker 1: movies at the time that were popular. And old TV shows.
- 46:00Speaker 1: And just general pop culture shit. And I'm just like.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I don't know how this would function. If I was
- 46:05Speaker 1: like a little kid watching it now. So I'm going
- 46:08Speaker 1: to have to start asking. At least kids I know.
- 46:10Speaker 1: I don't want to hang out with random weird kids.
- 46:13Speaker 2: You're going to be that guy hanging out at the theater.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Not really, because I don't want to interact with children.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I barely tolerate the ones I'm related to. So I'm
- 46:19Speaker 1: going to have to sit down and be like, okay,
- 46:22Speaker 1: let's settle.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I still haven't seen my stepsisters two youngest.
- 46:26Speaker 1: You're the greatest aunt ever.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I couldn't think of their names if my life depended
- 46:31Speaker 2: on it.
- 46:32Speaker 1: At least I know mine. I see them pretty regularly.
- 46:35Speaker 1: But I am going to have to like start quizzing
- 46:38Speaker 1: them and be like, all right, what's your follow up
- 46:40Speaker 1: report on the movie?
- 46:41Speaker 2: That should be your new podcast. It would be you.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Asking kids.
- 46:44Speaker 2: No, you and your one niece and you're going to
- 46:46Speaker 2: make her watch a movie and then like talk about it.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I don't think she'd go for that as usual.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Like she's too cool for that.
- 46:55Speaker 1: She is like she's too cool to hang out with her.
- 46:57Speaker 1: She's the one I don't see that much anymore because
- 46:59Speaker 1: now she has like a life.
- 47:01Speaker 2: She has a boyfriend.
- 47:03Speaker 1: The hell's up with that? That was weird. Weird. So, yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 1: I think she's too cool to hang out with me
- 47:11Speaker 1: these days. I might be able to suck her the
- 47:13Speaker 1: older one, and the younger one, she's all over the place.
- 47:17Speaker 1: She's still a little kid, so she's just, every two seconds,
- 47:20Speaker 1: she's doing some other crazy stuff.
- 47:21Speaker 2: That's like me. Pretty much.
- 47:24Speaker 1: It's hard enough to wrangle you into doing this, so
- 47:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to get a six-year-old, or whatever she is now.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Five or six, or I don't know. I can't keep count.
- 47:31Speaker 2: See? You're as bad as I am.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I know her name, at least.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:36Speaker 1: I always forgot the ages. I'm just like, I don't
- 47:38Speaker 1: know about this big. Yay tall. Just hold your arm up.
- 47:42Speaker 1: It's like that. One of those kids.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Alright, I'm getting rained on. We're going to have to.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I'm not. It must be coming from that direction.
- 47:47Speaker 2: See it? We haven't rambled about silliness long enough. Did
- 47:52Speaker 2: we talk about Wonderfest at all?
- 47:54Speaker 1: I mean, as much as we ever do. So, there
- 47:58Speaker 1: you go. I've watched some stuff, and you've not watched
- 48:02Speaker 1: some stuff.
- 48:02Speaker 2: I've watched a lot of dead people shows.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Is there anything interesting? Are you piecing together a bigger
- 48:08Speaker 1: story out of these dead people shows?
- 48:09Speaker 2: I can't tell you that.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Well, can you figure out mysteries now?
- 48:14Speaker 2: Oh, totally.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Okay, there you go. That's all that's important.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I am working on solving some crimes.
- 48:19Speaker 1: The only one I see, because I don't turn it
- 48:20Speaker 1: to dead people shows, it's just like Friday nights, that's
- 48:23Speaker 1: the only thing that's on. So there's usually like a
- 48:25Speaker 1: two-hour block of nothing but let's recount this horrible murder situation.
- 48:31Speaker 1: And it'll be on in the background while I'm doing
- 48:33Speaker 1: something else. And I'm just like, Man, they're slow at
- 48:36Speaker 1: telling the story. That's my issue with murder shows.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Wait till you find a murder that you know who
- 48:42Speaker 2: the killer is, but the fucking people who are in
- 48:45Speaker 2: charge won't do anything about it. And then you're like,
- 48:47Speaker 2: oh my God, I know who did it. You know
- 48:48Speaker 2: who did it. Why are we not solving this problem officially?
- 48:52Speaker 1: Sounds like you need a podcast.
- 48:54Speaker 2: West Memphis 3, I'm telling you.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Murder podcasts are the way to go. You can murder
- 48:59Speaker 1: in the building yourself. Yeah, I do. People get into
- 49:03Speaker 1: that shit. I don't, but that's just me. I'm very specific.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I've gotten super picky on which podcast I will bother
- 49:09Speaker 1: with these days.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I don't even listen to podcasts anymore.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Even you've gotten away from them. Now you're on your
- 49:13Speaker 1: books on tape.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Yeah, books on.
- 49:14Speaker 1: yeah that's what i still call them because i'm an
- 49:17Speaker 1: old man yeah books on tape books on tape granted
- 49:19Speaker 1: they haven't been on tapes in 30 years or more
- 49:22Speaker 1: but that's still what i think of when i'm like
- 49:24Speaker 1: yeah they do those books on tape all right well
- 49:30Speaker 1: wonderfest it's been fun it's been a thing i'm glad
- 49:34Speaker 1: we were back it's like our second home We're still
- 49:36Speaker 1: kind of, I've always said we're the bastard side of
- 49:38Speaker 1: the bastard children, stepchildren over there, some other table. But
- 49:43Speaker 1: we're still kind of there. We still were welcomed in
- 49:45Speaker 1: enough to come to the party. And I appreciate it. Yeah.
- 49:50Speaker 1: It's cool to see stuff. Buy little Godzillas. Look for
- 49:53Speaker 1: more little Godzillas.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Or not buy little Godzillas.
- 49:55Speaker 1: I got my little Godzilla. You just want a different Godzilla.
- 49:59Speaker 1: You're going to have to branch out with your Godzillas.
- 50:01Speaker 1: But awesome as always. So thanks. to wonderfest for letting
- 50:06Speaker 1: us be part of the show again they will be
- 50:09Speaker 1: back they're they're booked up usually way in advance because
- 50:13Speaker 1: even like i've thought of times before of like people
- 50:16Speaker 1: will get like hotel rooms and get stuff you know
- 50:19Speaker 1: just plan ahead their hotel rooms sell out like.
- 50:22Speaker 5: 10 months in advance like they it has such a
- 50:26Speaker 5: following that people are already booking for next year so
- 50:29Speaker 5: you should be one of those people doing that so

- 50:33Speaker 2: Next year May 31st through June 1st, 2025. There you go.
- 50:37Speaker 1: See, usually they've already planned ahead that they're advertising it

- 51:01Speaker 1: the festivities.
- 51:03Speaker 2: And if you see us, we may or may not
- 51:04Speaker 2: acknowledge that you exist.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Eh, we don't really talk to people. Ugh, people are awful.
- 51:10Speaker 1: I mean, maybe not you. You're cool. But most people.
- 51:12Speaker 2: But not you.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you're cool. If you're obviously, you're this far in
- 51:17Speaker 1: on this, you must be awesome. So, you can hang
