- 6:33Speaker 3: he is, Yes, he is a Listen. I began to pray.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I'm like, Lord, help me because I don't know what
- 6:41Speaker 3: I'm doing. That guess what the moment I that's that prayer,
- 6:44Speaker 3: and guess what I'm on. Okay, take your time, just
- 6:49Speaker 3: slow down, take your time. Amen. Amen, and he would
- 6:54Speaker 3: do just that.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Sometime we just we just be moving too fast for
- 6:59Speaker 3: our own absolutely, but welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I want to
- 7:05Speaker 3: welcome you to the Crew podcast on behalf of Aspiring
- 7:11Speaker 3: Authors magazine and didn't dave us of the Airways. I
- 7:17Speaker 3: want to welcome you. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. We all celebrating
- 7:20Speaker 3: International Women's History Month. You are also a part of
- 7:25Speaker 3: the one hundred Authors movement, so we got a lot
- 7:28Speaker 3: to talk about back. So I just want you to
- 7:33Speaker 3: sit back, relax, and just decide where you want to
- 7:36Speaker 3: start because we got some time. Okay, okay, all right,
- 7:44Speaker 3: I'm ready whenever you are. So what is this journey
- 7:50Speaker 3: been like? So you are an author, You're a part
- 7:54Speaker 3: of the one hundred author movement, you are being recognized
- 8:00Speaker 3: tonight as one of the women are part of this
- 8:03Speaker 3: movement for the international Women's History mind. So what has
- 8:09Speaker 3: this journey been like? An author journey, life period? We
- 8:18Speaker 3: want to hear? Well, first of all, let me say
- 8:22Speaker 3: thank you for your obedience and following the plans that
- 8:25Speaker 3: God has for you and bringing these authors together, being
- 8:30Speaker 3: able to write and to be able to express that
- 8:33Speaker 3: which I believe when you write that it comes from
- 8:38Speaker 3: the heart. And when you're connected, when you're connected to
- 8:44Speaker 3: for me to God, he allows for things to be
- 8:48Speaker 3: downloaded in your spirit and you're just ready to write
- 8:51Speaker 3: about it. So this journey has been truly an eye
- 8:55Speaker 3: opener because I get to see an experience just by
- 9:00Speaker 3: in the chats, just by just watching and being seeing
- 9:04Speaker 3: what other other authors are doing and encouraging one another
- 9:09Speaker 3: and be like wow, you know it is some people
- 9:13Speaker 3: out here doing some great things and really making an impact.
- 9:16Speaker 3: So this journey has been a blessing to my life.
- 9:20Speaker 3: It really has been. And like I said, I'm so
- 9:24Speaker 3: grateful to be a part of it. I'm so grateful
- 9:27Speaker 3: to have met people that are in different states. I'm
- 9:33Speaker 3: in the state of Maryland and that are in different
- 9:35Speaker 3: states that are doing great things. So I'm I'm looking
- 9:40Speaker 3: forward to what all that God has to do while
- 9:42Speaker 3: I'm on this journey and supporting other authors and supporting
- 9:47Speaker 3: their projects and also allowing them to see what God
- 9:50Speaker 3: is doing in my life as well. So I'm excited
- 9:53Speaker 3: about the journey. Amen, Amen, And this journey is an
- 9:58Speaker 3: author because I to let people know, you know, they
- 10:02Speaker 3: think that there's a lot of us, and there's so
- 10:05Speaker 3: many of us, and there's so many of us doing it,
- 10:07Speaker 3: but it's not. If you look at the Statisicate Artistics
- 10:12Speaker 3: says that there's only one percent of us that people
- 10:18Speaker 3: that will publish before they leave this earth and a life.
- 10:22Speaker 3: They say one percent of people will publish in a lifetime.
- 10:27Speaker 3: So you you are part of that one percent. And
- 10:31Speaker 3: then you look around and you see so many other
- 10:34Speaker 3: people like yourself that are on the same journey. It
- 10:38Speaker 3: has to be amazing and to know that you're in
- 10:41Speaker 3: that one percent, that that is that that is so amazing.
- 10:45Speaker 3: So to authorship, what was the that that turning point
- 10:52Speaker 3: that made you want to say that I really want
- 10:55Speaker 3: to be an author, because I didn't start out saying
- 10:59Speaker 3: I want to be an author. You know, that was
- 11:01Speaker 3: something that never crossed my mind. Yet I have over
- 11:04Speaker 3: one hundred and something publications now and never even thought
- 11:09Speaker 3: of writing like that was something that I never thought about.
- 11:14Speaker 3: You know, so what what thing in you said, Okay,
- 11:20Speaker 3: this is what I want. This is a niche for me,
- 11:22Speaker 3: This is something that I can do well. The niche
- 11:26Speaker 3: was I never like you. I never thought of myself
- 11:30Speaker 3: as being an author either. But I love to write, right,
- 11:37Speaker 3: So I love to journal. And in those journals they
- 11:44Speaker 3: produced a lot of a lot of personal stories that
- 11:51Speaker 3: you know, I've been led to share. Share in having
- 11:58Speaker 3: to navigate through what I've written and what to share
- 12:04Speaker 3: as as I'm being led to do. It comes with,
- 12:08Speaker 3: you know, conquering fear. You know, if are people going
- 12:14Speaker 3: to want to hear what I have to say? Are
- 12:15Speaker 3: people going to you know understand from the the you know,
- 12:21Speaker 3: understand where I'm coming from in this particular writing or
- 12:26Speaker 3: or or a book or whatever. And so for me,
- 12:32Speaker 3: I I love to journal, journal, but I never thought
- 12:35Speaker 3: about actually putting it on paper, and putting it in
- 12:39Speaker 3: a book. Uh. And and I just began probably about
- 12:44Speaker 3: several years ago, probably early part uh doing COVID is. Uh, well,
- 12:52Speaker 3: let me let me go back. I published my first
- 12:54Speaker 3: self published book at Keith House of a two right,
- 12:59Speaker 3: was a self of this book, and it came from
- 13:02Speaker 3: an area of me just writing, just journaling, right. And
- 13:06Speaker 3: then I believe I was led to to release that
- 13:09Speaker 3: to to to help empower young women at that time
- 13:15Speaker 3: that was suffering with silent domestic of semestic violence and.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Too.
- 13:23Speaker 3: It was my therapy to release that book, right. So
- 13:28Speaker 3: when I released it, I didn't think anything of being
- 13:32Speaker 3: a great author, being a great writer or anything like that.
- 13:35Speaker 3: It was a healing process for me. So fast forward now,
- 13:41Speaker 3: anything that I've written, right, it's got to do it's
- 13:44Speaker 3: been dealing with what's been with how God has been
- 13:48Speaker 3: healing me through writing. So I take those and I
- 13:53Speaker 3: don't take them lightly. But I just I love to write,
- 13:58Speaker 3: and I never just never the thought about being an author.
- 14:02Speaker 3: But there are things that I believe are being helping people,
- 14:12Speaker 3: which is why I continue doing what I do right
- 14:18Speaker 3: and and and and I thank you for that because
- 14:21Speaker 3: you know, oftentimes people don't understand why they go through
- 14:25Speaker 3: the things that they go through, and they think that
- 14:29Speaker 3: they're the only one like that that you you didn't
- 14:37Speaker 3: think anybody wanted to hear what you had to say.
- 14:41Speaker 3: You know that that is the majority. That is what
- 14:44Speaker 3: a majority of the people that come in and sit
- 14:46Speaker 3: in the studio, that's what they tell me. This week.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I've heard that three times this week. And I want
- 14:57Speaker 3: people to understand that. You know, if we are the
- 15:01Speaker 3: one percent, then just think of that other ninety nine
- 15:07Speaker 3: percent that's out there. It's ninety nine percent out there
- 15:13Speaker 3: that that that is not writing, that that is something
- 15:18Speaker 3: because they're not writing and they're needing something to read,
- 15:22Speaker 3: you know, and there's so many people out there that
- 15:24Speaker 3: are going through things and don't know how to release.
- 15:30Speaker 3: They don't know how to write, don't know where to start,
- 15:32Speaker 3: don't know how to even deal with the things that
- 15:35Speaker 3: they're dealing with. You know, we were fortunate enough to
- 15:41Speaker 3: you know, discover that gift within us. Yeah, it already
- 15:48Speaker 3: placed in us. Yeah, it is. It's truly a gift,
- 15:51Speaker 3: a gift, a gift and a voice that needs to
- 15:55Speaker 3: be heard. Because if your story impacts just one person
- 16:01Speaker 3: to a draw closer to God, I get to know God,
- 16:06Speaker 3: be help themselves. Then that's that that that becomes an
- 16:11Speaker 3: increase in that one percent, right, you know, so your
- 16:16Speaker 3: your voice, your voice is needed in areas that that
- 16:22Speaker 3: people are are probably afraid to address. So if there's
- 16:28Speaker 3: a story and if their story, if there's a story
- 16:31Speaker 3: in you, that story needs to come out of you
- 16:34Speaker 3: so that you will be able to impact and help
- 16:37Speaker 3: someone else exactly. And I want to know on this
- 16:47Speaker 3: journey how hard or easy, because some people say it
- 16:54Speaker 3: has been easy for them to start the process and
- 16:57Speaker 3: to get these things out. Your first book, I think
- 17:01Speaker 3: you said, dealt with domestic violence, suffering silence and suffering silence,
- 17:07Speaker 3: suffering domestic domestic So yeah, that that that could have
- 17:13Speaker 3: been a topic that could have been sensitive, or maybe
- 17:17Speaker 3: you may could have relived some things and may have
- 17:20Speaker 3: been triggered. So with a lot of people, how how
- 17:24Speaker 3: was that process for you? Was it an easy process
- 17:28Speaker 3: writing or was it reliving your testimony? It definitely was
- 17:36Speaker 3: not an easy journey. It was not an easy thing
- 17:39Speaker 3: to do because there was some things that that I
- 17:45Speaker 3: didn't want people to know. But at the same time,
- 17:49Speaker 3: there was some things that the Lord was leading me
- 17:51Speaker 3: to allow people to know through through my testimony, through
- 17:57Speaker 3: what I was living through at the age of six
- 18:00Speaker 3: ten years old and being a pastor's child, a p K,
- 18:05Speaker 3: a pastor's kid. So it's a lot of things that
- 18:07Speaker 3: were that It wasn't easy because if I felt that
- 18:13Speaker 3: if if the book when it was published, I knew
- 18:18Speaker 3: that my father would get it and would read it.
- 18:20Speaker 3: I knew my mother would read it. I knew my
- 18:22Speaker 3: siblings would read it, and uh, you know, at that time,
- 18:26Speaker 3: you know, I was like wondering, well, how were they
- 18:29Speaker 3: gonna feel about what I had written? But at the
- 18:34Speaker 3: same time those what I written was my truth and
- 18:39Speaker 3: how God allowed me to get through those things with
- 18:43Speaker 3: his help. And I tell people all the time that
- 18:49Speaker 3: when the Lord orders your steps, he does not order
- 18:52Speaker 3: them step your steps for no reason. He orders them
- 18:56Speaker 3: for a purpose. And the purpose is it helps you,
- 18:59Speaker 3: but it also brings forth to help somebody else. So
- 19:05Speaker 3: it's not not it's not always easy, but then it's
- 19:10Speaker 3: it's necessary because it's it can. Uh. The the writing
- 19:15Speaker 3: helps me and it's my healing. And that's how I
- 19:20Speaker 3: see it. When I write, when I go through difficult things,
- 19:23Speaker 3: I write it and it's my healing, but it's it's
- 19:26Speaker 3: it brings about not only healing for me, but it's
- 19:30Speaker 3: to also help someone else. H wow. So if you
- 19:37Speaker 3: want to tell us a little bit about your book. Yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 3: so I read. I wrote it in early part of
- 19:45Speaker 3: well two thousand and two, and the name of the
- 19:48Speaker 3: book was called Understanding the Pain, and it, like I said,
- 19:53Speaker 3: it was self published, uh, self published by a publishing
- 19:58Speaker 3: company called Zuolne Press. And it was my first jabber
- 20:02Speaker 3: ever writing a book. And it was dedicated to two
- 20:07Speaker 3: women who found themselves in bondage to domestic violence, suffering
- 20:13Speaker 3: silence and domestic violence relationships and and how they still
- 20:18Speaker 3: managed to become overcomers with the help of the Lord.
- 20:22Speaker 3: So in that book, I I I talk about there's
- 20:26Speaker 3: so many people I was going to to college dormitories
- 20:34Speaker 3: and speaking to the young women who were in college. Uh,
- 20:39Speaker 3: and they they they found one particular chapter in the book.
- 20:43Speaker 3: It was called Praying the Knuckleheads out of Your Life
- 20:47Speaker 3: and uh, we we we couldn't get past that particular
- 20:51Speaker 3: chapter I remember. And that's that, you know. It was
- 20:54Speaker 3: just talking about how how you know when we when
- 20:58Speaker 3: we when we're when we're thinking we're loving is the
- 21:01Speaker 3: right person and then God shows us it's not. So
- 21:08Speaker 3: how how do you how do how do you break
- 21:10Speaker 3: that cycle of of of of abuse and thinking you're
- 21:16Speaker 3: loving the right person? And for one thing you know,
- 21:21Speaker 3: and writing this to therapy for me is that I
- 21:24Speaker 3: began to see the real love of God and how
- 21:27Speaker 3: he loves me right, not in the not in the
- 21:30Speaker 3: sight of how man loves, but in the sight of
- 21:33Speaker 3: how He loves. So that particular book was my release
- 21:40Speaker 3: of everything that I had gone through, what I had
- 21:43Speaker 3: suffered at an early age until the time I left
- 21:47Speaker 3: and I joined the military at twenty one. Wow wow wow,
- 21:57Speaker 3: So what has what was the military like? Military life?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Military life was my escape. It was my escape, and
- 22:10Speaker 3: it was my escape. It was me. I had to
- 22:14Speaker 3: just depend and trust on the Lord because at that
- 22:19Speaker 3: time I was uh having some technical difficulties. Hopefully she'll
- 22:38Speaker 3: be able to come back in the studio, her camera
- 22:42Speaker 3: went out, and it was it was God's way of
- 22:51Speaker 3: saving me from what I was into at that time.
- 22:58Speaker 3: It was his way of saving me. So I never
- 23:01Speaker 3: thought that I would do twenty years in the United
- 23:03Speaker 3: States Navy, but I did, and God's hand was all
- 23:06Speaker 3: over that because he was saving my life, preserving me
- 23:11Speaker 3: for such a time as this. Wow, my nephew's in
- 23:16Speaker 3: the navy. I think he's been in for seven years now. Oops.
- 23:24Speaker 3: So yes, thank you for sharing that. I think whenever
- 23:32Speaker 3: you knocked your phone down, I think something happened. You
- 23:35Speaker 3: went out. You may have to you may have to
- 23:39Speaker 3: go out and come back in. Let me see you
- 23:46Speaker 3: a message. Technical. Yes, I don't know what's happened. I
- 24:13Speaker 3: was telling her she may have to go out and
- 24:15Speaker 3: come back in because I can hear her, but she
- 24:19Speaker 3: apparently cannot hear me. I don't know what happened. But
- 24:23Speaker 3: she blacked out, y'all, awhile, and then she came back in,
- 24:30Speaker 3: So evidently something happened to her volume. So we gonna
- 24:35Speaker 3: see if she can go out and come back in
- 24:37Speaker 3: or if she can I don't know. We trying to
- 24:41Speaker 3: get it together. We gonna see, y'all. We gonna see
- 24:44Speaker 3: and and y'all know, technology is always, it's always, it's
- 24:53Speaker 3: always doing something. We're gonna say, if we can get
- 25:09Speaker 3: her back in here so we can get a get
- 25:15Speaker 3: a volume and stuff. We're gonna say, if we can
- 25:17Speaker 3: get her back in here in just a second, y'all.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But nevertheless, y'all, we keep on person, We keep on person.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I'll tell you that has been the concisests. Y'all have
- 25:28Speaker 3: heard the last couple of nights that we've been on
- 25:32Speaker 3: individuals that have shared their testimony and shared their story
- 25:36Speaker 3: about writing and getting started. It has been the same thing.
- 25:42Speaker 3: So y'all, we got to move past that, and we
- 25:44Speaker 3: got to understand that these journeys, these testimonies that we
- 25:47Speaker 3: have are not just for us, but therefore people that
- 25:52Speaker 3: we're gonna come in contact with, those that may even
- 25:55Speaker 3: come after us. We may not even be meeting the
- 25:57Speaker 3: people that we're gonna be sharing these these things that
- 26:01Speaker 3: God is allowing us to impart into the world. You know,
- 26:06Speaker 3: we may not meet the people that are gonna come
- 26:08Speaker 3: in contact with these things. But my guess is back
- 26:11Speaker 3: in we're gonna see if we can hear her now,
- 26:14Speaker 3: because I'm sure she has some more things that she
- 26:17Speaker 3: wants to share, y'all, So let me get her on
- 26:19Speaker 3: back in here. Can you hear us now? Yes? Okay, okay, okay.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I tell you when it get good and and and
- 26:29Speaker 3: and people are really sharing and the enemy is so busy.
- 26:33Speaker 3: It's so busy now, but we don't allow it to
- 26:37Speaker 3: bother us. We don't allow it to get to us.
- 26:39Speaker 3: We just keep on pressing. We we have learned to
- 26:43Speaker 3: adapt and learn to to move through and to get through,
- 26:47Speaker 3: to get through these things so that we can see
- 26:49Speaker 3: what the other side is gonna be, you know what
- 26:51Speaker 3: I'm saying. So we have learned how to press. So
- 26:54Speaker 3: know that if anything happened, if I jump, if I
- 26:57Speaker 3: fall off, you just keep on topping. You just keep
- 27:00Speaker 3: doing what you're doing and I come back. You know.
- 27:04Speaker 3: That's what we do. You know, And we cannot We
- 27:07Speaker 3: only can't control what we can control. And we can't
- 27:10Speaker 3: control technology. We can't control the internet, we can't control
- 27:13Speaker 3: this stuff. We all we can do is do the
- 27:15Speaker 3: best that we can do, and that's what we're doing.
- 27:18Speaker 3: We're coming on here tonight and we're sharing. And I
- 27:21Speaker 3: was just sharing with those that are listening. You know
- 27:24Speaker 3: a lot of the things that we're doing, a lot
- 27:27Speaker 3: of the stuff that we're sharing. You know, it's not
- 27:30Speaker 3: for us. It may be for people that we have
- 27:33Speaker 3: not even encountered, people that are gonna come after us
- 27:36Speaker 3: generations and generations and generations to come, because the Word
- 27:40Speaker 3: tells us that we shall do greater works. But how
- 27:43Speaker 3: would they know the greater works if we don't put
- 27:46Speaker 3: the greater works in the hands of people that can
- 27:49Speaker 3: utilize it. So we are given the opportunity to share
- 27:53Speaker 3: these things, and we're given the opportunity to be a
- 27:56Speaker 3: voice for those that may think that they don't have
- 27:59Speaker 3: a boy because there were there was a time. I've
- 28:03Speaker 3: not always been this person that would come on the
- 28:06Speaker 3: and and and openly talk like I had a studying
- 28:10Speaker 3: a stuttering problem. I talked too fast. It was always
- 28:15Speaker 3: something that would make me say, oh, I don't want
- 28:18Speaker 3: to do this. I don't want to do this. I
- 28:19Speaker 3: can't do this. But when when God say, when God
- 28:24Speaker 3: say you got to do you got to do it,
- 28:27Speaker 3: ain't nothing you can do. All you can do is say, okay,
- 28:33Speaker 3: use me, I'll go, you know, even if you don't know.
- 28:37Speaker 3: And and and that was me. And I tell people
- 28:39Speaker 3: all the time, you know, I didn't know what I
- 28:42Speaker 3: was doing when I started a lot of this. You know,
- 28:45Speaker 3: I didn't know what God was doing. But I know
- 28:47Speaker 3: God was moving. I know God was directing me to
- 28:52Speaker 3: do these things. So I just begin to do on it.
- 28:55Speaker 3: But back, now that you are back, I want you
- 29:03Speaker 3: to share. You were going to share with the listeners
- 29:09Speaker 3: a little bit. I think we were talking about your
- 29:13Speaker 3: journey in the military. We talked about your journey in
- 29:16Speaker 3: the military, and then the enemy just don't want her
- 29:20Speaker 3: own here tonight. Don't know why, but we're gonna get
- 29:23Speaker 3: it back on here, y'all. We're gonna get it back
- 29:25Speaker 3: on here. But we keep pressing, We keep pressing, and
- 29:28Speaker 3: what we have learned, and thank you, d D. Thank
- 29:31Speaker 3: you for a lot of people. I think writing has
- 29:37Speaker 3: become a healing mechanism. It has become therapy, It has
- 29:42Speaker 3: become an outlet for some people to release. So you
- 29:50Speaker 3: were getting ready to share a little bit about your book,
- 29:53Speaker 3: I think mm hmm, yeah, yeah. I was sharing the
- 29:58Speaker 3: the uh, the concept of the many stories that were
- 30:04Speaker 3: related into my in my book from just experiences from
- 30:08Speaker 3: a teenager and like I said, up till the time
- 30:10Speaker 3: that I joined the military at twenty one years old,
- 30:15Speaker 3: and how my writing, I believe that it was my
- 30:20Speaker 3: healing process that God wanted me to heal through. So
- 30:24Speaker 3: you know, God can use any number of mechanism to
- 30:28Speaker 3: bring healing to his children. And at that particular time,
- 30:34Speaker 3: like I said, I never I never thought about branching
- 30:38Speaker 3: out to be an author or make millions being a writer.
- 30:44Speaker 3: But what I wanted to do is, as the Holy
- 30:46Speaker 3: Spirit led me, was to be able to share portions
- 30:50Speaker 3: of my story to not only as I'm healing, but
- 30:55Speaker 3: as I continuing to overcomingness process of learning who God
- 31:03Speaker 3: created me to be and to stand in who He
- 31:06Speaker 3: created me to be. You said, at one moment time,
- 31:09Speaker 3: you got to stand in who He has created you
- 31:13Speaker 3: to be. So my writing is healing for me and
- 31:20Speaker 3: help for someone else. So understanding the pain, it doesn't
- 31:28Speaker 3: mean that I understood everything all the whise, that the
- 31:32Speaker 3: why behind everything that I had to go through. But
- 31:36Speaker 3: what it did was it drew me closer to God.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It drew me closer and to the person that He
- 31:43Speaker 3: created me to be. It drew me closer into understanding
- 31:47Speaker 3: that I don't have to be like anybody else. I
- 31:50Speaker 3: can just be comfortable and who He has created me
- 31:54Speaker 3: to be and to know for sure that I'm his child.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And it just took a lot. It took it. And
- 32:02Speaker 3: you know what, what I what I love about God
- 32:05Speaker 3: is because he already knew what I was going to
- 32:10Speaker 3: go through, right uh, And he already knew how I
- 32:14Speaker 3: was going to respond to how what I was going through.
- 32:19Speaker 3: And at the same time, even though I didn't understand
- 32:22Speaker 3: every pain that I went through, I never gave up
- 32:26Speaker 3: on God. I never gave up on him. I never
- 32:30Speaker 3: allowed my situation to keep me in a victim mentality,
- 32:36Speaker 3: so you know, and it's all through learning, learning God's
- 32:41Speaker 3: word and learning who he says that you are and
- 32:45Speaker 3: you can live and who He says that you are
- 32:48Speaker 3: even while you're going through different things. So writing that,
- 32:53Speaker 3: writing that book in two thousand and two, and even
- 32:56Speaker 3: going back a few years ago, dusting off, dusting off
- 32:59Speaker 3: of eh, just going back through it. You know, I
- 33:03Speaker 3: don't I don't have that same level of why God,
- 33:07Speaker 3: Why does why this happened to me? I just praise
- 33:10Speaker 3: God and say thank You for allowing me to go
- 33:14Speaker 3: through it so that somebody else can can can heal
- 33:18Speaker 3: or I can help somebody else make it through the
- 33:21Speaker 3: same things that that that I went through as a
- 33:24Speaker 3: teenager and up to the time I left home. Wow,
- 33:29Speaker 3: that's powerful. That that that that's powerful. I thank God
- 33:36Speaker 3: for you sharing because somebody, somebody needed to hear that
- 33:42Speaker 3: on tonight. You know, Wow, you know if the if,
- 33:48Speaker 3: it's the it's the devil's job to keep you in
- 33:51Speaker 3: a victim mentality. Mm hm. He keeps you in a
- 33:54Speaker 3: victim mentality. So you're gonna get to know who you
- 33:57Speaker 3: are in Christ mm hmm hm. I'm sorry. I so
- 34:04Speaker 3: you so you can't live your best life? Right, So
- 34:10Speaker 3: you can't live your best life because as long as
- 34:13Speaker 3: you're holding on to victim, I can't live my best
- 34:17Speaker 3: life in Christ. Hm. Right? You know, and and it's
- 34:22Speaker 3: and it's so true. You know that he he is
- 34:26Speaker 3: a mender of broken hearts. He is the one that
- 34:31Speaker 3: that that will will will will bring you out of
- 34:34Speaker 3: darkness into his marvelous life. He is that one and
- 34:38Speaker 3: he and he and he longs for you us to
- 34:42Speaker 3: get to a point to where, even in all of
- 34:44Speaker 3: our mess even in in all of our situations, he
- 34:48Speaker 3: wants us to rely upon him. Wow. Total seven. Like healing,
- 34:58Speaker 3: like you said, healing and standing. Look, healing and standing
- 35:03Speaker 3: and who He has created you to be like that?
- 35:07Speaker 3: That that that that healing part when when we heal,
- 35:13Speaker 3: we're able to help other people heal because now we
- 35:18Speaker 3: we now we understand, we understand that we can stand
- 35:23Speaker 3: in who has who He has created us to be.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Through that healing process, we have truly learned who we were.
- 35:33Speaker 3: You know, when we understand that healing, we got to
- 35:38Speaker 3: stop allowing hindrance m HM to cause us to have
- 35:44Speaker 3: egos that allow us to have attitudes that stops us
- 35:52Speaker 3: from moving in love. So when we learn to heal,
- 35:58Speaker 3: we no longer let hindrance houses us to have egos
- 36:02Speaker 3: and etetudes, and now we can move in love. Yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 3: absolutely absolutely, And the scripture says that love covers a
- 36:12Speaker 3: multitude of suns. Right, So in in my loving you,
- 36:17Speaker 3: I don't see what you used to be. In my
- 36:20Speaker 3: loving you, I don't hold what you used to be
- 36:25Speaker 3: in my heart. I don't I don't look at those
- 36:27Speaker 3: things that you how how you were right? Because you know,
- 36:33Speaker 3: we're displaying the love of Christ. And the love of
- 36:35Speaker 3: Christ is so important. Uh, even even as we're journeying,
- 36:40Speaker 3: journeying through you know, keep on living and keep on living.
- 36:44Speaker 3: The love of Christ is so important because it takes
- 36:47Speaker 3: us from from victim to victory. It keeps us in,
- 36:52Speaker 3: It keeps us in a victorious state of mind. Even
- 36:56Speaker 3: though I might be going through hell, I'm still victorious.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Mm hmmmm. From victim to victorious. Wow, Now ain't that something?
- 37:09Speaker 3: And and and and how do you get there? You
- 37:13Speaker 3: got to go through And people don't understand it's not
- 37:18Speaker 3: that you know, we we have to understand that the
- 37:22Speaker 3: Word tells us that that we we we believe what
- 37:24Speaker 3: we understand that the Word says that these weapons and
- 37:26Speaker 3: these things are gonna come, but he tells us that
- 37:28Speaker 3: they're not gonna prosper. So if we know that they're
- 37:31Speaker 3: not gonna we should have we we should have some
- 37:36Speaker 3: word down in us. We should have something down in
- 37:39Speaker 3: us that we can stand, that we can that we
- 37:44Speaker 3: can stand and who He has created. Yes, and we
- 37:49Speaker 3: can stand in and in Genesis two and seven that
- 37:52Speaker 3: breath of life that He breathed in us. That I
- 37:55Speaker 3: truly believe, the positive everything that we needed. So so
- 37:59Speaker 3: we don't have to be out here searching for nothing.
- 38:01Speaker 3: But all we got to do was tap into him
- 38:05Speaker 3: because he's already in us. Yes, breath. All right, we
- 38:09Speaker 3: don't And you said something else that resonated to something
- 38:14Speaker 3: that I've been saying across the platform, and and and
- 38:17Speaker 3: we we did a we did a conference on it
- 38:21Speaker 3: matters of the heart. You know, God attends to the heart.
- 38:25Speaker 3: You know, the heart was healing, empowering, aligning with a
- 38:34Speaker 3: and trauma.
- 38:35Speaker 1: No mo.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Part two, Part two is coming in May. Part two
- 38:40Speaker 3: is coming May third. Is gonna be on a Saturday,
- 38:43Speaker 3: May third from eleven a m. To two pm. Definitely,
- 38:49Speaker 3: we would love for you to be a part of that.
- 38:53Speaker 3: One of our hosts, her name is Trevita, she is
- 38:57Speaker 3: a part of the Crew podcast. She's gonna be hosting that,
- 39:00Speaker 3: So I definitely will put you in contact with her
- 39:02Speaker 3: so that you can connect with her and be a
- 39:05Speaker 3: part of that. We're looking for some hosts, some some
- 39:09Speaker 3: individuals that want to come on and share, you know,
- 39:12Speaker 3: that share their expertise, their their journey, you know, how
- 39:16Speaker 3: they got through whatever, you know, they may have went through,
- 39:19Speaker 3: if it was feeling that they went through, if it
- 39:22Speaker 3: was an empowerment journey that they was on, if it
- 39:25Speaker 3: was them aligning with their purpose, aligning with that that
- 39:28Speaker 3: God has already called them to, you know, or if
- 39:32Speaker 3: it was a journey of resilience. Because we have the
- 39:34Speaker 3: young lady that did resilience in the last conference. She
- 39:39Speaker 3: had a stroke two and a half years ago and
- 39:41Speaker 3: it's currently still in in in in bed. She's not
- 39:48Speaker 3: able to walk, she's still not mobile, but she still
- 39:52Speaker 3: had posted a podcast. She's hosted a podcast from bed
- 39:57Speaker 3: for three years. This is her third season and her
- 40:01Speaker 3: first season she had guests. On her second season, she
- 40:04Speaker 3: said she wanted to go to not having guests, and
- 40:08Speaker 3: this year she's straight inspirational. It's inspirational moments with Prophet
- 40:13Speaker 3: is Teeth and she comes home and she encouraged people.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Even when people want to when they want to gas
- 40:22Speaker 3: like her and do all kind of stuff on YouTube
- 40:25Speaker 3: and all these different social media platforms, she still pressed.
- 40:29Speaker 3: She still comes on, She still show up. She still
- 40:32Speaker 3: delivered the word of God. I tell you, God is
- 40:37Speaker 3: truly He has truly been moving through this podcast, you know,
- 40:42Speaker 3: because we come through different walks of life, and just
- 40:46Speaker 3: their willingness, because they were willing and they said, yes,
- 40:50Speaker 3: you know a lot of people we've invited to come
- 40:53Speaker 3: and be a guest, even where you're sitting today, and
- 40:57Speaker 3: a lot of people still afraid to come. But you came.
- 41:03Speaker 3: You were a will in vessel because you knew that
- 41:07Speaker 3: there was something that somebody needed to hear today. So
- 41:11Speaker 3: I want you to share how can individuals support your platform,
- 41:16Speaker 3: how can they follow you? How can they get your book?
- 41:20Speaker 3: And if you have some new things that's coming up,
- 41:23Speaker 3: what we can look forward for and the rest of
- 41:25Speaker 3: twenty twenty five because we're only three months in, so
- 41:29Speaker 3: what we can look for in twenty twenty five, how
- 41:32Speaker 3: we can follow you, check out some of the things
- 41:35Speaker 3: that you already have and all of that good stuff. Okay,
- 41:42Speaker 3: you can follow. I'm easily to be followed on Facebook.
- 41:45Speaker 3: I'm on Instagram, my platform, my platform. What I'm working
- 41:52Speaker 3: what the Lord is allowing me to work on this
- 41:56Speaker 3: coming up fall and that's where my energy is really
- 42:00Speaker 3: going to go toward is as a women's conference, and
- 42:05Speaker 3: it's gonna it's titled Behold Your Beauty Women's International Conference.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I have to tell you, Alisbrier gave that to me.
- 42:16Speaker 3: The international wasn't in there until January and and and
- 42:21Speaker 3: it is suposed to me just like, no, it's just
- 42:22Speaker 3: not going to be just the average conference. It's going
- 42:25Speaker 3: to be international. So you have to add in Behold
- 42:29Speaker 3: your Beauty International Women's Conference, right, So I'm like, well, Lord,
- 42:35Speaker 3: I don't know anybody. But if you said that's what
- 42:38Speaker 3: it's going to be, guess what. That's what it's going
- 42:42Speaker 3: to be. So it's a it's a conference that that
- 42:48Speaker 3: that a conference that will speak and empower women and
- 42:54Speaker 3: not not so much. I'm not doing anything new, but
- 42:58Speaker 3: I'm just doing it as our Holy Spirit leads me
- 43:01Speaker 3: to do it. Because there's so many there, you know,
- 43:03Speaker 3: we have I support other women's conferences, I support other
- 43:08Speaker 3: women's ministries and things like that. And I'm like, you know, why,
- 43:12Speaker 3: why why this particular one? And he was just like,
- 43:17Speaker 3: because I need for I need for my children to
- 43:24Speaker 3: understand that there is a beauty inside of them that
- 43:29Speaker 3: I have given unto them, and you have to behold
- 43:33Speaker 3: that beauty to continue to live and trust that He
- 43:41Speaker 3: is always with us and that He is for us.
- 43:44Speaker 3: So it's going to be a phenomenal, fenomenal event. And
- 43:50Speaker 3: I not event. I don't call an event a time
- 43:53Speaker 3: of wortship, a time of prayer, a time of us
- 43:57Speaker 3: coming together, a time of restoring in a time of
- 44:01Speaker 3: people getting to know who God is in their life
- 44:05Speaker 3: for real, because now is the time that we really
- 44:10Speaker 3: need to know our God. It's now so it's not
- 44:16Speaker 3: about you know, it's not about being So I'm my God.
- 44:20Speaker 3: You know who's gonna come. He says, don't worry about that.
- 44:23Speaker 3: You just go for and you do what I've given you.
- 44:27Speaker 3: So I've written that He's given me, given me the vision.
- 44:30Speaker 3: I wrote the vision. I'm making a plane, and I
- 44:33Speaker 3: believe that He's going to give me every resource that
- 44:36Speaker 3: I need to carry out this fall in what I
- 44:40Speaker 3: need to do, and it's going to be. I have
- 44:44Speaker 3: it on Instagram, I have it posted to Facebook. I'm
- 44:49Speaker 3: not sure of all the particulars, but I'm just trusting God.
- 44:52Speaker 3: For the book is Understanding the Pain that was written
- 44:57Speaker 3: in two thousand and two from Zoo Line Press, and
- 45:01Speaker 3: I believe that if you if you want a copy
- 45:04Speaker 3: of it, just let me know. I'll be able to
- 45:06Speaker 3: get a copy of it. I don't charge for the book.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I give the book away for free because I feel
- 45:14Speaker 3: like it's a it's a it's it's it's it's how
- 45:18Speaker 3: God blessed me to be a blessing to others. So
- 45:21Speaker 3: I don't charge for the book. I get the book,
- 45:25Speaker 3: and I give the book away for free because the Lord,
- 45:31Speaker 3: he is kind and I'm thankful about that. So I'm
- 45:35Speaker 3: working that particular conference. We're starting to get those things
- 45:42Speaker 3: in order. So that's that's my number one priority for
- 45:46Speaker 3: the remainder of this year. I also have other projects
- 45:51Speaker 3: and I'm working on writing projects and anthologies with a
- 45:54Speaker 3: couple other amazing women who are writing I love. I'm
- 46:00Speaker 3: supporting this Queen, Queen Angela, She's I see you in Atlanta.
- 46:06Speaker 3: My daughter lives in Atlanta, so I'm going to be
- 46:09Speaker 3: there in April, so I hope to hope to hope
- 46:12Speaker 3: we can hook up in April when I'm there, just
- 46:17Speaker 3: so I'll get a chance to meet you face to face.
- 46:22Speaker 3: So those are the things that God is allowing me
- 46:26Speaker 3: to do right now in this season. I don't have
- 46:28Speaker 3: a lot of things going on because He knows me.
- 46:31Speaker 3: So so I got to take things one step at
- 46:35Speaker 3: a time because God knows me, and I will get overwhelmed,
- 46:41Speaker 3: and I don't want to be overwhelmed. I just want
- 46:43Speaker 3: to be able to do which will do that what
- 46:46Speaker 3: she's called me to do. And if I if what
- 46:49Speaker 3: God allows me to do helps one person, then this
- 46:56Speaker 3: is not in vain. So I'm just thankful to God
- 47:01Speaker 3: about that. I'm also uh I'm also the co pastor
- 47:05Speaker 3: of Kingdom Hope Ministry, So we have a website for
- 47:09Speaker 3: our church, Kingdom Hope Ministry, and we can be founding
- 47:12Speaker 3: at Gambros, Maryland. I'm just excited about every door that
- 47:18Speaker 3: God is opening and even super excited about the doors
- 47:22Speaker 3: He's closing. So I'm thankful to just being open to
- 47:29Speaker 3: whatever God would have me to do in this season.
- 47:36Speaker 3: A man, amen that that that that that that was
- 47:44Speaker 3: Look if if they didn't get it, they look, they
- 47:47Speaker 3: get to go back and listen to the replay. They can.
- 47:50Speaker 3: They get to listen to the replay, and that's the
- 47:53Speaker 3: that's the good thing about this is they get to
- 47:56Speaker 3: listen to the replay and they're definitely gonna get to
- 47:58Speaker 3: hear some clips. So they're definitely gonna get to hear this.
- 48:02Speaker 3: So it's it's it's gonna be heard. But it wasn't.
- 48:06Speaker 3: It wasn't a lot. It was what was need to
- 48:09Speaker 3: have been said. I often tell people you can never
- 48:14Speaker 3: talk about the things that God have you doing too
- 48:19Speaker 3: much because there's somebody that needs to hear it. There's
- 48:23Speaker 3: somebody that needs to get it. Because if it wasn't
- 48:26Speaker 3: he wouldn't give it to you, you know, so He's
- 48:28Speaker 3: given it to us for a reason. So definitely, you
- 48:32Speaker 3: you keep being that vessel, you keep sharing, you keep
- 48:35Speaker 3: you keep putting it out there so that individuals, you know,
- 48:40Speaker 3: I often tell people, we sit on these things that
- 48:43Speaker 3: God has given us when he's given us an outlet,
- 48:46Speaker 3: he's given us resources, he's given us everything that we need.
- 48:49Speaker 3: If we just utilize those things, you know, we were
- 48:52Speaker 3: out here searching when it's already in us. Oh my gosh, yes, yeah,
- 48:57Speaker 3: mm hmm, yeah, that is the truth. That is the truth. Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 3: And and allow him to bring those things forth, those
- 49:06Speaker 3: gifts that He's given, bring those forth, unafraid and unapologetic
- 49:12Speaker 3: about what God is doing in your life. Unafraid and unapologetic. Now,
- 49:18Speaker 3: I'm not saying that you you go out and you
- 49:21Speaker 3: just be this um uh person. That's that's that has
- 49:28Speaker 3: that's that has the title. That's that's that's saying your
- 49:33Speaker 3: godly but you're un but have ungodly ways. I would
- 49:36Speaker 3: put it back right. And and we want to we
- 49:41Speaker 3: want to reflect the true image of God in our
- 49:44Speaker 3: lives and everything that we do and everything that He
- 49:46Speaker 3: has allowed us to do. And to be a part
- 49:49Speaker 3: even with connecting with people. We just want to be
- 49:53Speaker 3: our We just want to be all our best for God.
- 49:55Speaker 3: That's my desire and that's the type of people that
- 49:59Speaker 3: I'm asking God to send into my life, those that
- 50:02Speaker 3: will be able to impact the kingdom and not heard it? Amen? Amen? Well.
- 50:09Speaker 3: I always ask my guests before they leave. I always
- 50:13Speaker 3: want them to share something positive encouraging that they can
- 50:18Speaker 3: encourage the listeners on whether they're live or if they
- 50:21Speaker 3: hear the replay. On this journey that we call life,
- 50:27Speaker 3: a well, on this life, on this journey that we
- 50:31Speaker 3: call life, we understand that we're going to have ups
- 50:35Speaker 3: and downs. We understand that there are trials and tribulations
- 50:39Speaker 3: that we're going to go through. But my favorite, one
- 50:43Speaker 3: of my favorite scriptures is that many of the afflictions
- 50:46Speaker 3: of the right is but God delivers them from the
- 50:50Speaker 3: all givers Us from them all. And here is you know,
- 50:54Speaker 3: when we think about our trials, when we think about
- 50:57Speaker 3: those things that we go through as believers, that we
- 51:03Speaker 3: just don't give up, We just don't throw in the towel.
- 51:06Speaker 3: We stand and stand and knowing that there is a God,
- 51:10Speaker 3: He is our hope. He is our strength. And if
- 51:13Speaker 3: you don't have have that strong connection right now that
- 51:19Speaker 3: you can pray and ask God to help you with
- 51:21Speaker 3: your faith, help you with your unbelief, whatever that is
- 51:25Speaker 3: that's hindering you from being closer to God. He wants
- 51:31Speaker 3: to hear from you so that He will help you
- 51:34Speaker 3: through it. And not only that, is that we're living
- 51:39Speaker 3: in such a time that we have to carry the
- 51:44Speaker 3: word of God and also demonstrate the love of God.
- 51:48Speaker 3: So don't frets, don't fret. Continue to just live, continue
- 51:57Speaker 3: to trust God, and continue to live. I'm gonna say
- 52:02Speaker 3: that one. Just continue to trust God and to live.
- 52:09Speaker 3: And that's my whole thing that I encourage people to do,
- 52:14Speaker 3: even when you can't see it. Just continue to trust
- 52:17Speaker 3: Him and live. Wow, just live, Just live, Just live,
- 52:25Speaker 3: trusting God for everything because he promised that he will
- 52:30Speaker 3: take care of us. That he did, That's what he did,
- 52:36Speaker 3: and we can live in that promise and we can
- 52:41Speaker 3: trust him and take him for his word. Wow. I
- 52:46Speaker 3: have truly, I tell you, I have truly been blessed tonight.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I want to thank God for stopping by and sharing
- 52:54Speaker 3: with me.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Hope.

- 53:01Speaker 3: hundred author movements. So know that you know, every opportunity
- 53:04Speaker 3: that I get to share you guys, I will definitely

- 53:13Speaker 3: to get ready. I love sharing, I love bringing individuals together.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Those four seeds I'm serious about those four seeds. Connect, collaborate, create,
- 53:24Speaker 3: and community. You know, that's what it's gonna take to
- 53:27Speaker 3: keep That's what it's gonna take to keep going. And
- 53:30Speaker 3: in order for us to be able to leave those
- 53:33Speaker 3: greater works, we gotta be able to connect, collaborate, create,
- 53:40Speaker 3: and do it as a community. The most important thing
- 53:42Speaker 3: is building that community so that those coming after us
- 53:46Speaker 3: can see that sense of community, because we let that
- 53:48Speaker 3: slip away. But that's a whole nother show. And I
- 53:51Speaker 3: tell you, truly, truly, truly have enjoyed you tonight. So
