- 0:00Speaker 1: Time out for back to the basics and healthcare with Balanced.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Life Chiropractic, we have doctor Harley with us.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hey doing doctor.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Harley, Hey John, I'm doing great. I can't believe Thanksgivings
- 0:08Speaker 3: already around the corner.
- 0:09Speaker 1: How did that happen? It's like just the other day
- 0:11Speaker 1: was fourth of July.
- 0:12Speaker 3: This month has gone by so fast, very very fast.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Now for people who there's some people that you've worked
- 0:17Speaker 2: with now for how many years?
- 0:18Speaker 1: How long's it has? Balanced Life Chiropractic been here four years?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Holy cow? Because you guys are still the new guys, right.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I mean we're newer. Yeah right. There's so definitely some
- 0:26Speaker 3: chiropractice opened up after us, and there's some that have
- 0:29Speaker 3: been around for quite a while.
- 0:30Speaker 2: When it comes to chiropractic, let's just say there's a
- 0:33Speaker 2: new client that comes in and starts working with you,
- 0:35Speaker 2: and a week later they're like, well, doctor Harley, this
- 0:37Speaker 2: stuff doesn't work because I don't feel any better yet.
- 0:40Speaker 3: It's not.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It doesn't instantly work for everybody, does.
- 0:42Speaker 3: It, right? Yeah? I get that a lot. You know,
- 0:45Speaker 3: new patient comes in, they're in a lot of pain,
- 0:47Speaker 3: or maybe they just want to try out this chiropractic thing.
- 0:50Speaker 3: They've been told it's good for him, and like, well,
- 0:51Speaker 3: I haven't really noticed any change. I don't feel any different,
- 0:54Speaker 3: or like, oh, my symptoms haven't gotten any better. I
- 0:56Speaker 3: still feel horrible. You know that's okay. And as I
- 1:00Speaker 3: tell all new patients after their first adjustment, I don't
- 1:02Speaker 3: expect change right away. You know, there are some that
- 1:05Speaker 3: they notice it right away, Some feel better right away,
- 1:08Speaker 3: some feel worse right away, and some notice absolutely nothing.
- 1:12Speaker 3: And any one of those reactions to an adjustment is
- 1:16Speaker 3: totally normal, you know. Some of it is how long
- 1:18Speaker 3: has this issue been going on? Yeah, you know, if
- 1:21Speaker 3: it's been going on for years, I don't expect it
- 1:23Speaker 3: to go away very quickly. It's going to be something
- 1:25Speaker 3: we're going to be working on for a.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Little while, probably not going to be one and done.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I got an adjustment, and I'm better forever.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I would love it if that was the case.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That'd be awesome. Right now, I would.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Never have to do any marketing again.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Think about how much more you could charge too.
- 1:37Speaker 3: People just be coming in by the dozens.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Doctor Harley, miracle worker.
- 1:41Speaker 3: That'd be awesome. But our body does some amazing things.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But back to reality not quite that fast.
- 1:46Speaker 2: So and I the thing that's interesting is I think
- 1:49Speaker 2: that a lot of the time, it's not necessarily that
- 1:51Speaker 2: first appointment or that second appointment or that third appointment.
- 1:55Speaker 2: But you know, after you get to a certain point
- 1:56Speaker 2: where things are better, it's not because of that last
- 1:59Speaker 2: appointment either. It's because of the first and second, and
- 2:01Speaker 2: third and fourth, all of those together. Because you're kind
- 2:03Speaker 2: of nudging a little bit. And then when I know,
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'll wake up and go, oh hey, my back doesn't hurt.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I didn't even realize it, but I feel better. It's
- 2:09Speaker 2: not because the last appointment. It's because of all of
- 2:11Speaker 2: the appointments.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I always say that each adjustments building on the last one.
- 2:15Speaker 3: You know, we're working with your body to help your
- 2:18Speaker 3: body to communicate better with your brain, and when that
- 2:20Speaker 3: communication is getting faster, your healing is going to get faster.
- 2:24Speaker 3: You know. It's kind of like when you cut your hand,
- 2:26Speaker 3: you slap a band aid on it, do you rip
- 2:28Speaker 3: that band aid right off? Like, ooh, my fingers healed well,
- 2:31Speaker 3: but sometimes probably still bleeding at that point. Yeah, absolutely,
- 2:34Speaker 3: you know, so every day you're checking that cut and
- 2:37Speaker 3: it's slowly getting better. Well, that's your body healing. Now,
- 2:40Speaker 3: imagine that cut keeps getting reopened every day. It's not
- 2:44Speaker 3: going to heel very well if it keeps being re injured.
- 2:47Speaker 3: And that's kind of the everyday repetitive motions and micro
- 2:50Speaker 3: traumas that we go through, how we sit at our desk,
- 2:52Speaker 3: how we sleep, these things that we don't think about.
- 2:55Speaker 3: How can really start taking a longer effect toll on us?
- 2:59Speaker 3: And we don't know so simple comes right away, but
- 3:01Speaker 3: you know a year later, like wow, this is really
- 3:03Speaker 3: starting to hurt.
- 3:04Speaker 2: What what happened?
- 3:05Speaker 3: I don't have a rhyme of reason why this start happening. Well,
- 3:07Speaker 3: we can have to go backwards a year with your
- 3:09Speaker 3: body's healing to get back to that original thing. And
- 3:12Speaker 3: even if it's like something new, like say you're in
- 3:13Speaker 3: a car accident or slip or a fall, well that's
- 3:16Speaker 3: like an acute injury. That's not like a chronic problem.
- 3:19Speaker 3: It's a cute new thing that there's damage to those
- 3:22Speaker 3: tissues there and it's still going to take time for
- 3:25Speaker 3: your body to heal. And that's the biggest thing. Chiropractic
- 3:28Speaker 3: can't speed up how fast your body is healing, but
- 3:31Speaker 3: it's helping how your body is healing. We can't speed
- 3:34Speaker 3: up time. That'd be really cool. If there's a magic
- 3:36Speaker 3: dial we.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Could turn it up, that'd be awesome.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I mean, you probably wouldn't want Can.
- 3:39Speaker 1: We slow it down?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah? I feel like the day's already go by really fast.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I don't think we want to speed up time. But
- 3:44Speaker 3: really it's helping how your body is healing, and the
- 3:47Speaker 3: better your body is healing, the longer, better health healthier,
- 3:51Speaker 3: healthier results you're going to have.
- 3:52Speaker 2: If somebody listening is going okay, I would maybe like
- 3:55Speaker 2: to try this, and they'd like to schedule their first appointment,
- 3:58Speaker 2: or maybe they're trying chiropractical but they're saying maybe it's
- 4:01Speaker 2: time to try something different. If they would like to
- 4:03Speaker 2: become a client at Balance Left Chiropractic, what does that
- 4:05Speaker 2: look like.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Well, it starts with getting a new patient appointment in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the works, and then when you come in, we'll do
- 4:10Speaker 3: your consultation, go through your health history and just kind
- 4:13Speaker 3: of walk you through the process to make sure that
- 4:16Speaker 3: we understand what's going on with you and you learn
- 4:18Speaker 3: and understand how chiropractic is going to help you. So
- 4:21Speaker 3: it really starts with getting a phone call in there,
- 4:23Speaker 3: or reach out to us on our Facebook page. But
- 4:25Speaker 3: you can give us a call at six year O
- 4:26Speaker 3: five two one five one seven eighty five or our
- 4:29Speaker 3: Facebook page is Balance Life Chiropractic. We'd love to chat
- 4:32Speaker 3: and let you and help you have a happier, healthier year.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Very very nice, and again we're sneaking up to the
- 4:37Speaker 2: end of that year. So if you've still got some
- 4:39Speaker 2: dollars in your HSA, am I saying all the right letters.
- 4:42Speaker 3: There, Yeah, there's ASA or FSA.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I pay attention, but I don't always know that I
- 4:46Speaker 1: know everything.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But if you still have dollars in those and you're like, hey,
- 4:49Speaker 2: it's kind of user to lose it between now and
- 4:50Speaker 2: the end of the year, what better time to reach
- 4:53Speaker 2: out and get that scheduled. And there's a bunch of
- 4:55Speaker 2: things that you do right in the beginning that would
- 4:57Speaker 2: absolutely help kind of take care of some of that.
- 4:59Speaker 1: So get all of the details.
