- 0:37Hello and welcome to episode one eighty four of BFY t W And it's
- 0:42bfy TW goes Political. Oh yes, we're diving into the semi nasty world
- 0:52of politics, and who better to have with us than the punishers of political
- 0:57perfidy, the mistresses of the Muck. It's Hillary and Tina from the Muck
- 1:02Podcast. Hi. Can you introduce us every week? I mean, you
- 1:12know, I am more than happy to like record you a sound bite that
- 1:15you could then play and then you just play it during your intro. Yeah.
- 1:21So Hillary and Tina from Muck Podcast. You're here with us. We're
- 1:23gonna play some silly games all about politics and political things. Uh, and
- 1:30it's just going to be a good fun time. We're hoping not to make
- 1:33anybody terribly angry, but we know how electrifying discussing politics can be, so
- 1:42just be prepared. I'm just gonna let you know. You know, that's
- 1:45how it is. That's how it is. Now. You just you hear
- 1:48the word politics and you're like your your spine kind of shrinks up a little
- 1:52bit. Just you just tighten up everywhere. But anyway, we're gonna try
- 1:57and relax it and just have some fun like we usually do. We've been
- 2:01doing a lot of having our guests play against the Dream Team, so we're
- 2:07gonna stick to that format, so you two will be playing together against these
- 2:10idiots. Yeah, and I have to tell you the boys are on quite
- 2:16a streak right now. They have lost almost every game they've played against our
- 2:21guests, so I'm hoping that continues. So we'll see. But for now,
- 2:30let's do Let's do a quick just round of introductions, and I will
- 2:37start with our guests. Let's start with Hillary. Hi. Hillary, I'm
- 2:42so excited to have you, and I'm going to ask, Oh, this
- 2:46may be a difficult question to answer, but what is your favorite thing about
- 2:54politics? What is your favorite either political thing that happened or if there's something
- 2:59about politics in general that you actually enjoy. Right off the bat, when
- 3:06you said what is what has been my favorite thing? I see a bunch
- 3:07of faces of people that I know locally that are incredible, And so we
- 3:14say this on the past the podcast all the time of the ten you know
- 3:17bad people you know in politics, there are two hundred behind them that you'll
- 3:23never know their names, but are so fantastic in what they're doing, and
- 3:28they're actually there to fight for the good things. The reason government exists,
- 3:32there are good reasons, but they actually do the work. And so I
- 3:38would name like just local people here that I love that I think are fantastic,
- 3:42like a Chevern Jones or on Eskimani. I mean, there's just great
- 3:46people here. Any any Democrat in the Florida Legislature right now is fighting for
- 3:51their life and everybody else in Florida for the good stuff that we believe in.
- 3:54So I would say them, No, that's absolutely fair, I think
- 4:00the I mean, in my lifetime, one of the greatest things I've I've
- 4:02seen is the election of Barack Obama. Yeah, yeah, that's a good
- 4:06call. That's a good call. That was That was a wonderful, wonderful
- 4:11feeling. And of course your partner in crime as it were, well,
- 4:16your partner in grime would be more accurate. Tina Hi, Tina Hi,
- 4:25same question, what is your favorite thing in or around politics? And you
- 4:30can have the same answer if if you totally agree with Hillary, that's fine.
- 4:34Yeah, I mean my favorite thing I would agree with Hillary is is
- 4:38all the good people. And I would also say the work, like doing
- 4:42the work and really seeing that. You know, the politicians who are on
- 4:47the stage, you know, aren't there, and a lot of them are
- 4:49really good. But there's a large amount of people behind those politicians, behind
- 4:56the scenes, that do so much work. And it's been incredible to be
- 4:59able to work like within those communities. And so I feel really lucky to
- 5:03be able to do the work that we do. Heck on that volunteer basis
- 5:08absolutely and it's so important. And we'll get to why later, but for
- 5:14now, I'm gonna throw it over to He's a gamer and a storyteller,
- 5:17and he was my youngest friend. Now he's just among the younger ones amongst
- 5:24them, scattered amongst them. Lucky. Same question, is there something about
- 5:30politics that you actually enjoy or was there a particular moment that you really enjoyed?
- 5:34Wow? Well, and I was not expecting is such a question?
- 5:39Yeah, yeah, I know. I didn't prepare you at all. No,
- 5:42it sucks to be you. Yeah, it's always no. I mean,
- 5:47I guess it's I don't know, I don't know how to explain it.
- 5:54Uh. Democracy has been one of those kind of key defining factors to
- 6:00show that it's something that does functionally work. It just needs some fine tuning.
- 6:03But I feel like it has helped improve so many nations who have worked
- 6:09towards building a democracy to kind of give that power to the people as opposed
- 6:15to just letting one person take it all. Yeah, I mean, I
- 6:18don't. I don't know that there's any such thing as a perfect system.
- 6:21There really isn't. But it feels it feels like and it feels yeah,
- 6:27nobody's going to agree, but it does feel like democracy is probably as close
- 6:30as humanity has found up until this point to something that works for the widest
- 6:36variety of right. Until we get the robots to take charge, yes,
- 6:42exactly, then it's not our problems. Humanity will be saved. I look
- 6:46forward to robocracy. Oh my good, I will punch that one on that.
- 6:56And speaking of which, he's he he's a veteran and a podcaster,
- 7:00And as it turns out, he's a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie. Hey,
- 7:04what's going on? Our favorite weed infused joy Goblin? What's going on?
- 7:10Dude? Not too much man, really enjoying life smoking a lot of
- 7:13weed. I was worried, well, yes, yes, the same thing,
- 7:18isn't it. I mean it really is coming into this Like I was
- 7:23worried that this might be too heavy of a topic for you. But there
- 7:25must be something about politics or the political process that you particularly in enjoy.
- 7:30Yes, actually, after listening to everybody, there is and I honestly have
- 7:34to say, the schemes like the way people can get away with ships so
- 7:40impressive, Like yeah, damn, dude, you really thought that shit out
- 7:45There is no trace back to you. But you have a flavor on your
- 7:48team, and then that's where you screwed up. You've got to have a
- 7:50tight knit group. Man, it's like rule. Yeah. Wow, we
- 7:54said that all the time on the podcast. If this amazing criminal mind,
- 7:58if they could focus it on something good line, you know, fantastic And
- 8:11finally, I am your host Pancels Aaron And for me, I think my
- 8:16favorite thing about politics is that moment when you submit your vote. Something about
- 8:22that is incredibly empowering. Like I know, I know there's a lot of
- 8:26people out there who don't vote, and I used to be one of them,
- 8:31believe it or not, when I up until I was about twenty three,
- 8:33twenty four, I didn't take it seriously at all, and then I
- 8:37finally got my head on straight. Why I finally got my head on straight.
- 8:41And now whenever i'm whenever I go, I'm excited to go vote,
- 8:43Like I literally legitimately feel like I'm I'm doing something that matters, that this
- 8:50is important and it it genuinely feels good. So I don't know why people
- 8:54don't do it. More like I I want to take these people who don't
- 8:58vote and shake them, right, you don't know what you're missing? But
- 9:03yeah, no, I mean, I think it's just really an intimidating thing
- 9:07when you go in there and your ballots like two pages along front and back,
- 9:11and you know there's like judges and amendments and like what the hell is
- 9:13going on? You know? But I would just tell people there's so many
- 9:16resources wherever you live, Like, look up whatever party you belong to.
- 9:20I don't care what party belongs you just vote and look to see who they're
- 9:24recommending. Like there are people who do all that homework and can help you
- 9:28out. So it is an intimidating thing, I think absolutely, Like I
- 9:31pick up I'm not gonna claim that I understand one hundred percent of what the
- 9:35voting ballot says. And like I've walked in and not recognize some of the
- 9:39names, But I mean, there are websites out there that if, like
- 9:43you plug in your location and what things you are most concerned about, they'll
- 9:46say this is this is the candidate who is running on that item. You
- 9:50know, it's very they say, that's very important to them. So it's
- 9:54like the resources are there, and they're easier to get than ever, So
- 9:58why wouldn't you do this for yourself and for where you live? Exactly?
- 10:03You're only gonna make a difference, that's the thing. You're not going to
- 10:05not make a difference by voting. Anyway, Enough of this moral grand standing.
- 10:11Let's get let's get to the ridiculousness. It's time to play. Time
- 10:16to play three very silly games. We're gonna start with game one. Game
- 10:18one is the cost is correct, legally, legally distinct from the prices.
- 10:22Right, our players, our players are going to take turns bidding on political
- 10:28memorabilia, trying to get us close, trying to get us close to either
- 10:31the actual listed price or the winning bid in a previous auction without going over
- 10:37whoever's closest wins the listing for their team, and the team who wins the
- 10:39most listings wins the game and earns one episode point. Now, to keep
- 10:43it fair, we're going to rotate the order that you bid in and we're
- 10:46also going to stagger the bidding so one. So it's gonna be Hillary first,
- 10:50then Aggie, then Tina, then Stevie, and then we'll rotate from
- 10:54there on out. I mean, you're not supposed to, but I'm not
- 10:58going to. Oh man, thirty seconds, you're already breaking the rules.
- 11:05This is a politics episode for sure. Okay, all right, well let's
- 11:13get to it and have some fun, shall we. Our first item up
- 11:16for bids is this questionable keepsake. It's a lock of Abraham Lincoln's hair,
- 11:24removed by the attending physician at the late president's post mortem and wrapped in a
- 11:30nearby telegram. This item was auctioned off in twenty twenty, and this listing
- 11:35will go to the one of you who bids closest to the winning bid without
- 11:37going over. Hillary, start us off. What do you think? I
- 11:45think it's a quite a collector's item. I would say some lunatic would pay
- 11:52fifty thousand dollars for that fifty thousand dollars, says Hillary. Argue, what
- 11:58say you? It's taint hair, right, he's gotta be O forgot Lincoln's
- 12:03tea gotta be in that case, it's gotta be wait, it's gotta be
- 12:07cold to be to be fair, the listing doesn't say where the haircake came
- 12:13from, so we can do it. Your guess is as good as mine.
- 12:16One hundred thousand, d hundred thousands single lock of Abraham Lincoln's ass hair.
- 12:26Oh, we're already getting deep into the muck as it were. Uh,
- 12:35Tina, what say you? What would you bid? I mean it's
- 12:39Abraham Lincoln. I think it's higher. Okay, I'm gonna go for like
- 12:46I'm gonna go for a crazy bid of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a
- 12:52quarter of a million, says Tina. And finally, Stevie, I mean
- 12:58hair clones can not gonna come out. It will not be the same.
- 13:03Abe Lincoln, like that I cloned from that ass hair. I don't think
- 13:07I think he has. I mean, I love they'll respect you guys have
- 13:11for our former president. I really do, But I don't think it's worth
- 13:13that much. Man, I'm gonna say like three grand, three thousands of
- 13:20Okay, so we got bids all over the place, but I can tell
- 13:22you that the actual winning bid for a lock of Abraham Lincoln's hair in twenty
- 13:28twenty was eighty one thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars. His Hillary wins
- 13:33the listing. Yeah, eighty one thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars for
- 13:41a lock of Abraham Lincoln's hair. That's a lot. That doesn't make sense.
- 13:46People have too much money, is the problem you want? It's got
- 13:52to be like a descendant of like Booth or some shit. He's like,
- 13:54I'm just gonna clone him so so I can repent. So see, I
- 14:01see, Okay, Okay, all right, maybe you're onto something you're not,
- 14:05but maybe you were. Okay, let's move on to our second item
- 14:09bids. The Muck Podcast has one item. Dream Team have nothing yet.
- 14:15Our second item of for bids is this questionably fun board game, still sealed
- 14:20and new in the box, featuring the face of our forty fifth president on
- 14:24the cover. That's right, it's Trump the game and this listing will go
- 14:30to the one of you who bit's nearest to the actual listing price of this
- 14:33item on Facebook marketplace. Aggie, We're gonna start with you. Is it
- 14:39like rip off Monopoly? I need to know what I was is just wins.
- 14:46I was not interested enough to look it up, so I have no
- 14:48idea what it plays like. Okay, uh, somethinking. I'll just I'll
- 14:56save five hundred dollars, says Tina. What do you say, I'm gonna
- 15:05maybe maybe a hundred bucks. One hundred dollars, says Tina. Was it
- 15:13signed? Uh? No, it is sealed in the box, which is
- 15:16a game board game. I mean it's collectible. Even if it's even if
- 15:22it's that, it's still a collectible board game, you know, and somebody
- 15:26would go stupid over it, like you know what. Yeah, I've seen
- 15:28idiots by like ninety dollars t shirts. I'm gonna go with something ridiculous like
- 15:33fifteen hundred, fifteen hundred dollars. Just I've seen it. I've seen a
- 15:39stupid and lastly it's Hillary. What do you say, I'm gonna say twenty
- 15:46five dollars five dollars, says Are you guys ready for this? Oh?
- 15:56God? What you've all over been the lowest is twenty five dollars. Let's
- 16:02start again with Aggie. No bit lower than twenty five dollars. Five dollars,
- 16:11five dollars, says Aggie. Tina seven fifty says Tina. Stevie,
- 16:22do benefit of the doll and this is what happen, Yeah, Stevie,
- 16:29thirteen dollars. Thirteen dollars, says Stevie. And finally, Hillary, seriously
- 16:33like one dollars one dollars. No, if you'd only bid that last time.
- 16:37But the actual listing price of this item on Facebook marketplace ten dollars.
- 16:42It goes to Tina, who bids seven dollars fifty cents. What are you
- 16:48gonna do with that game? Not play it anyway? Uh, that's just
- 16:56a bit of fun. Let's move on to our third em for bids,
- 17:00guys, if you want to stay in the game, the two up.
- 17:04Our next item of for bids is this beautiful, one of a kind historical
- 17:10document. It's a poster commissioned and signed by Bill Clinton commemorating the fiftieth anniversary
- 17:15of the end of World War Two in Honolulu, Hawaii. It features sixty
- 17:22five painstakingly captured World War Two medals and pins in the design, and this
- 17:27listing can be yours if the cost is correct. And this time we start
- 17:32with Tina, what do you bid for this signed poster? I don't I
- 17:37mean Clinton, I don't know. I'm gonna say eighty five bucks. It's
- 17:45tighty five bucks. I'm saying eighty five dollars, says Tina. Yes,
- 17:49eighty five bucks, all right, Stevie, what do you say? And
- 17:52he commissioned it, and he said so he actually had it made for this,
- 17:56so okay, it's got me more than Ned's. And I didn't say
- 18:02a lot more. I said more, I thinking like a hundred bucks,
- 18:07one hundred dollars, says Stevie. Okay, Hillary, what do you bid?
- 18:12I mean, I'm gonna say a thousand, A thousand dollars, says
- 18:18Hillary. And last, but not least, Aggy got this. I want
- 18:21to say, closer than fifty bucks. He commissioned it if he like purposely
- 18:26made it, and then it's just selling it, And yeah, it's it's
- 18:30he purposely. It's not like it's some crazy like oh you know, awesome
- 18:36event. No, he commissioned it. Well, I think they threw some
- 18:40sort of ceremony so there wasn't about be different though. If it's world,
- 18:47here's a here's a picture that you can get it like the original still or
- 18:52something like that. No, this is something that's made in mass Well.
- 18:56Uh either, Stevie, you're a gon need to win this to stay in
- 18:59the game. Wise, the Muck Podcast have just wanted out right come on.
- 19:02The actual listing price of this poster, signed by Bill Clinton is three
- 19:08thousand, one hundred ninety five dollars. It goes to Hillary and the Muck
- 19:14Podcast have gone three for three. I never lost this game before. Yeah,
- 19:21okay, do you want to try to claw some pride back? There's
- 19:23still two listings left. I mean, I mean, yeah, for fun,
- 19:29let's let's let's let's give you guys a chance to get something. Because
- 19:33so far are you getting steamrolled our next item, You've won the game.
- 19:37That's not questionable. This is just for them to get some kind of pride
- 19:41our next and also not to waste these listings. Our next item up for
- 19:45bids is this questionably historic pair of boxer shorts. This pair were standard issue
- 19:52from nineteen forty one to nineteen forty five, and there's no mistaking who they
- 19:56belong to with Jack Kennedy written on the label jam okay really worthies during his
- 20:02stint as a commander on a patrol boat. And they went on auction in
- 20:06two thousand and three. And this listing goes to whoever bids closest to the
- 20:10winning bid without going over and Stevie, this time we start with you four
- 20:15thousand, two hundred dollars. Four thousand, two hundred dollars, says Stevie.
- 20:19Hillary Listen, I was so hot one some lady like my mom's age.
- 20:29God bless you. Mom is buying with it. I whearing in seven
- 20:34possibly, I don't know. I'm gonna say, all right, I'm gonna
- 20:42say fifty thousand dollars beloved, fifty grand, says Hillary. Oggy oh man,
- 20:52Well, it's got a seventy thousand. Seventy thousand dollars, says Oggie.
- 21:00And lastly, Tina, what do you say. I'm gonna say twenty
- 21:06three thousand and five, twenty three thousand, five hundred. Okay, Well,
- 21:11this item goes to the person who bid just under five thousand dollars.
- 21:18It's Stevies forbidding forty two hundred. It's yours, well done, they did
- 21:26manage to get one. I know how much underwear it goes for. Come
- 21:29on now, all right, this is really overestimated. The horny they got
- 21:34money, but not flushing. Let's play our final item, just for funzies.
- 21:44Our final item up for bids is this historic election button. This nineteen
- 21:48This nineteen forty eight two and a quarter inch button features the words sixty million
- 21:53working, Why change, surrounding an image of Harry Truman. And it was
- 22:00auctioned in twenty fifteen. And this listing can be yours if the cost is
- 22:03correct. We're gonna start with Hillary again. Oh god, I'm gonna say
- 22:17two thousand, five hundred dollars, two thousand, five hundred, says Hillary.
- 22:19Aggy, I want to say closer to seven hundred and fifty dollars.
- 22:26Seven hundred and fifty dollars, says Age EIGHTEENA. What do you say?
- 22:30I'm gonna say two hundred fifty, two hundred and fifty dollars. We're sliding
- 22:33down, And Stevie, what do you say? It's a button? Fifty
- 22:40bucks, fifty bucks, just just just going down precipitously twenty five hundred to
- 22:48seven fifty to two fifty to fifty bucks, but the actual winning bid for
- 22:55this item was sixteen thousand, six hundred twenty five dollars. Are you Hillary
- 23:00wins another listing? Yeah, they're destroying on. Can I say Hillary beat
- 23:06the two of you by herself? Yeah? Man, round Jew's gonna be
- 23:11awesome. Oh my gosh. So the Mistresses of Muck, Hillary and Tina
- 23:18have won the first game and have one episode point. But of course we're
- 23:22this This game's far from over. We're going to play game two right after
- 23:26this. Hi. I'm Tina how Tomo and I'm Hillary Dougherty and we host
- 23:38The Muck Podcast where we discussed the dark and sometimes we are true stories in
- 23:41American politics. E Tina, did you know that Elvis crashed the Nixon White
- 23:47House for the sole purpose of getting a DA badge and it worked? Or
- 23:52how a gun control advocate senator out of California engaged in gun trafficking with Nottoria's
- 23:57gang leader, shrimp Boy Boy. I remember him, Okay, So you
- 24:03know we cover all of that and more from Maladi's madness, mischief and murder
- 24:06in US politics, and we also host a bi weekly interview segment called Little
- 24:11Muck. We interview politicians, journalists, activists, and others who share their
- 24:15experiences in politics. Find The Muck Podcast wherever you listen to podcasts, and
- 24:18check us out on social media at the Muck Podcast. Hey man, welcome
- 24:33back. It's time for game two. And you know, if we're inviting
- 24:38the ladies from The Muck Podcast on, we're absolutely going to play Tinfoil Hat.
- 24:44You would be a total waste to invite them on and then not play
- 24:47a game about conspiracies and scandals. So welcome to Tinfoil Hat. I'm giving
- 24:52our players three seemingly unconnected things, and they are the toilet paper shortage from
- 24:57twenty twenty at stalls and South Korean former president Park Gun Key's bizarre corruption scandal.
- 25:07And apologies if I pronounce that incorrectly. Well, I just you cover
- 25:15all sorts of American politics, so I figured it might be worth not,
- 25:18you know, stealing or borrowing in of your material and go for a corruption
- 25:22scandal outside of the USA. And also when I read of this was batshit
- 25:27crazy. So I'm looking forward to seeing what you can put together. All
- 25:33of our players have to do is spin me a conspiracy theory linking those three
- 25:37things and the player who spins the craziest conspiracy theory without losing me will win
- 25:44the game and earn two episode points for their team. So seem and Ag
- 25:48you lost the last game. You have the choice. Do you guys want
- 25:49to go first or seconds? Oh? Man, you're the leader? Why
- 25:55am I the leader? We'll go first? No? No minute, Now,
- 25:59you're the leader. Yeah, I guess what he's like, you're the
- 26:03leader. We're gonna go first, just completely obediently. What are the powers
- 26:08of the leader here? I don't know. We haven't enshrined them in a
- 26:14constitution or anything. So anyways, pick something? Oh my god, okay,
- 26:21yeah, we'll go first. Like, okay, you're going first.
- 26:22Which one of the two of you? Now, I hate to make you
- 26:25make another decision, but which one of the two of you is gonna go
- 26:27for? Come on, and two choice is too hard. I'll go first.
- 26:30Okay, Stevie is gonna go first. Good Stevie, spin me a
- 26:34conspiracy theory. Okay, I'm gonna apologize now for the pronunciation again. Okay,
- 26:41I thought I'm pretty sure. I I'm so sorry. So most people
- 26:45would believe that the South Korean former president Park going hey was prosecuted and in
- 26:51prison due to corruption charges as daughter of a dictator in the country. People
- 26:56were divided on whose side the take. Some accepted the corruption charges while some
- 27:00believe they were fabricated to hide the true crimes. Okay, So, since
- 27:04being raised in a cult influenced family, Park gained a skill, a skill
- 27:07she used to manipulate the masses while maintaining good cult values. So value without
- 27:15values, it's not a good cult. We're a discussion later and one of
- 27:21them is gonna be what is good cult values? I'll bring it to the
- 27:25meeting, orry about it. So Park learned of the mattel Brett's factory in
- 27:32China that got hit for a ninety four and a half hour work weeks in
- 27:37which the factory only paid no joke point five one five cent per doll.
- 27:42Knowing the cult like following of these doll collectors have. Sorry, knowing the
- 27:48cult like following that these doll collectors have, and how everyone wanted the rare
- 27:52Bryce Boyfriend dial that came as a mystery boyfriend in these packs. She wanted
- 27:57a piece of that action. And how could she get that same hype out
- 28:02of something so cheap? Park angry that China came up with such a great
- 28:07plan to get money out of Americans that she thought she should get more.
- 28:11What better way than to uh, tony, you can't read what that is.
- 28:18I wrote something and trust out the real words. Better way, A
- 28:22better way to take down the competition. Park and her scientists developed an on
- 28:26contact spray laxative. Park at two trusted advisors post as employees at the Chinese
- 28:36factory making Brad's dolls. They would spray every dollar in every box. Anyone
- 28:41handling these dials got explosive diarrhea, causing the masses to take all TP stock
- 28:45from the shelves, leaving every American asking TP for my bungalow. Oh my
- 28:55god, like that's a high raised. My story truly straddled the line between
- 29:10genius and madness. Good at straddling, sir, and then fall completely over
- 29:15to the madness side. Yes wow, And you were sitting here telling me
- 29:22it's bad. I'm like, okay, okay, yeah, all right,
- 29:27you are up next man. You get to follow that enjoy yay, thank
- 29:36you got you. I wish I was on whatever you were on. Anyways,
- 29:42So there is a conspiracy here, Aaron I didn't go that deep admittingly,
- 29:49okay, but I didn't have to go that deep to find out some
- 29:53stuff. So for context, South Korea's former president Park not i even going
- 30:00to try to mispronounce her name, and her aid, Choi Choi Choi ran
- 30:04an underground smuggling ring that they used Bratt dolls as the mule, okay,
- 30:11using the money that they had extorted from local conglomerate companies. They would fund
- 30:18their ring and smuggle whatever their hearts desired in like drugs, alcohol, BTS
- 30:26fans name it. But in twenty sixteen they would get caught, impeach and
- 30:34in prison for the corruption. And you would think that would be the end
- 30:40of the story, but no, it goes on. So U discovered in
- 30:44late twenty nineteen but was not announced in full force in early twenty twenty.
- 30:49The world was plummeted into global pandemic. You know that whole twenty years that
- 30:53transpired between now and twenty twenty three. Yeah, yeah, now, not
- 31:00to think about it. Naturally, this created a squeeze on vital resources such
- 31:03as medical goods and food stuffs and BTS fans, But one item above all
- 31:12else was coveted. The most toilet paper. Yes, right, people across
- 31:21the globe. I don't understand why ordered the stuff right, like they just
- 31:25hoarded it. Just some even resold it too, like we sold it to
- 31:29other people like scalpers and stuff like it was nuts. It was insane.
- 31:34That happened like two years ago. Yeah. Anyways, now Parking CHOI,
- 31:41whom at this point are jailed but still in the game, saw the opportunity
- 31:48to make millions, but we're in no position to act on it. But
- 31:52they had someone on the outside to help smuggle that apocalypse gold fittingly the goal
- 32:00than Kyle himself. But that's another tinfoil movie. Oh movie. Anyways.
- 32:09Okay, that's what I pulled up, Aaron, all right, well that's
- 32:14what our boys put together. Now, of Hillary and Tina, I understand
- 32:16only Tina has a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. Ready for me, Okay,
- 32:22this is what you're up against, So congratulations ahead of time. I don't
- 32:29think mine. I don't think Mike can compete. But me, yep,
- 32:32yep, I'm ready spring bar off. Okay. Yes, many people believe
- 32:37that the Church of Eternal Life leader Chow tame In was the mastermind behind park
- 32:44when he scandal, and you're right, but it wasn't all about making money.
- 32:50People believe that a special edition Bradstall was funded by Park for Choi.
- 32:54Park was on board because the doll bore a striking resemblance to her deceased mother,
- 33:00and Choi names the doll Cell Cel Church of Eternal Life, and the
- 33:07doll's brand was on par Hi. My name is Cell, my fashion passion
- 33:14is Dictator Sheeppa because I love competitive horse dancing. What Park didn't realize,
- 33:23and what many believe, is that the Church of Eternal Life created these dolls
- 33:29as a means to control the people, starting of course, with Park.
- 33:34First, the control was subtle, like Choi would put an outfit on the
- 33:37Brodstall and Park would don a similar outfit. Then things progressed until Choi had
- 33:42full control of Park, using the Brodstall as a voodoo doll, parking Choi's
- 33:46arrest. Choi tried to distract the world by using the Brod dolls to communicate
- 33:52to children around the world that toilet paper was needed to combat COVID nineteen and
- 33:57panic spread where parents bought parents for some of the coveted toilet paper show.
- 34:01I hope the distraction would allow her to find a way out of prison,
- 34:06but alas, her plan failed and backfired because Park was pardoned instead of her.
- 34:12Oh my god. Alright, okay, yeah, well, I mean
- 34:17I gotta be honest, like, okay, so like Steve Stevie lost me
- 34:22about halfway through. That's a surprise. I mean, it just didn't insanity
- 34:28way too fast. There's a slope, man, I mean, you just
- 34:32it wasn't so much a slope as it was a vertical wall. It's a
- 34:36complete drop down cliff. And then Aggie had me right up until the very
- 34:43end. I didn't what was the Golden Cow business? What was that about?
- 34:47No? No, no, little political political no okay whatever, Calf
- 34:53Calf, I should have said, Calf. Okay, yeah, I didn't
- 35:00get it. But I mean the strongest conspiracy theory of these three has to
- 35:06be Tina's. Yeah, ironically, ironically to write a paper. I don't
- 35:16know why she teaches English. Ironically, Like it was the most believable,
- 35:24like it was. It was the one that I was like, Okay,
- 35:28this kind of makes sense. I can get behind this one. Whereas but
- 35:32I mean, I can't like the entertainment value of all three were perfect,
- 35:36Like those were excellent. They were all excellent pitches and I really enjoyed them.
- 35:42So uh. That point also goes to Tina and Hillary. They have
- 35:45taken this game as well. They are up three points, okay to zero.
- 35:51This third game, this is your last chance. Game three is worth
- 35:54three points. You can tie the game. We're gonna play that game when
- 35:59we come back right after this. Hey, this is Russ, This is

- 36:57back. It's time for Game three. The ladies from the mock podcast are
- 37:00sweeping up. They've won the House, but can they take the Senate?
- 37:06We're gonna find out. Oh my god, we're gonna play game three.
- 37:22It is time for four out of five dentists. I'm gonna ask five survey
- 37:27questions such as what percentage of Americans believe in ghosts? And one team is
- 37:30going to guess the exact percentage out of one hundred. Their opponents are then
- 37:35going to decide whether they think the correct percentage is higher or lower than that
- 37:38guess. If they are correct, they win the survey. Otherwise the original
- 37:44guessers win it. Then the teams are gonna swap roles and we'll move on
- 37:47to the next survey. And of course this episode, surveys are all about
- 37:51politics. First team to win three surveys wins the game and earns three episode
- 37:57points. All right, so shall we get right to it? Dude,
- 38:00I'm just so in awe and how fucking clever you are like to seriously,
- 38:07alright, I'm sorry, al right, I see, I see you can
- 38:14get under the table already there. I thought someone was playing foote with me.
- 38:22Anyway, the cat All right, you guys lost the last game since
- 38:28you have the choice, do you want to guess the exact percentage first,
- 38:31or do you want to guess higher or lower? First? Okay, percentage
- 38:38first percentage first? It is okay. So here is the first survey.
- 38:44According to the Pew Research Center, what percentage of Americans who live in a
- 38:49household with a gun but do not own a gun themselves say they are worried
- 38:54about having a gun in their home. How many people who live in a
- 39:00household with another gun owner but do not own a gun themselves are worried about
- 39:07having the gun in their home. What percentage do you say see when you
- 39:12say p Pew like the church magazine. Yes, I'm gonna go with except
- 39:17I don't think it comes from a few. I don't think it comes from
- 39:20a church thing. I think that's a pup. I think I think that
- 39:23might be the last name of the person who founded it. But I don't.
- 39:27I genuinely don't know, like a pue uh anyway, with a good
- 39:36I mean it's gonna be high too, because there's a lot of more people
- 39:38with super high I don't know. I'm gonna say it's gonna be in like
- 39:45I'm gonna say high fifties. Low sixties. I want to go sixty two,
- 39:47sixty six, sixty two percent. Let's say the Dream team, Hillary
- 39:53and Tina, what do you think do you think that percentage is higher or
- 39:55lower than sixty two? Wait? Can you repeat the question? Sure?
- 40:00According to the Pew Research Center, what percentage of Americans who live in a
- 40:05household with a gun but do not own a gun themselves say they are worried
- 40:10about having a gun in their home? Oh? Wow, okay, so
- 40:14this is yeah. I mean I think they're close to the number. I
- 40:23would say it's lower because if they're living in the house and they move to
- 40:28a whole discussion about like what yeah, no, please fee, because it
- 40:35would mean that the person in the house who has the gun. They then
- 40:37I also think about people who are like maybe in a relationships with someone who
- 40:40has a gun in their has that possibly? All right? So let's go
- 40:45lower, lower, lower, lower, say Hillarentina. Okay, so uh
- 40:50see me and obviously sixty two and Hillarintina say lower. The actual percentage of
- 40:54Americans who live in a household with a gun but do not own a gun
- 40:59themselves and say they are worried about having a gun in their home is twenty
- 41:04seven percent, so that point goes and Tina, Yeah, it's way lower.
- 41:09Okay. I think what you guys might have left out is there's like
- 41:13lots of like wives of you know, husbands or husbands of wives who own
- 41:17guns probably feel reassured and safer. Yeah, we probably, we probably were
- 41:22thinking maybe somebody, I mean, they shouldn't be, but you know,
- 41:29huh. Having said that, I think there's a statistic like the guns most
- 41:31likely to kill the person who owns it. So I don't know, maybe
- 41:35there's something to that. I don't know, ye, but yeah, no,
- 41:38just twenty seven percent are worried about it. So there you go.
- 41:43Not the greatest gun rights statement, I guess, but we got a point.
- 41:45So it's okay, quiet he doesn't know that. This is me just
- 41:52kind of making like a pointed reference to when Steve and I lived together and
- 41:55he did own a gun. Firmly not like to be anywhere near bullets.
- 42:08They're not my favorite thing. Okay, So let's move on. Hillaryantina taken
- 42:14the first one. So now, Hillary Anina, you guys are going to
- 42:15guess a percentage on this survey. According to the Pew Research Center, what
- 42:22percentage of Americans say, and oh boy, you should be familiar with this.
- 42:24What percentage of Americans say that they always or often feel exhausted when they
- 42:30think about politics? So I'll just lay it out for you. The options
- 42:36were always, often, sometimes, rarely, or never, And we're only
- 42:40interested in the ones who said often or always exhausted when thinking about politics.
- 42:47It's high. It's got to be high. I would say. I would
- 42:52say eighty maybe eighty percent. I'd even go higher than that, but it's
- 42:54to be conservative on it. I would say eighty. Okay, most people
- 42:59going to differ in my p including myself. I'm in that. I'm exhausted.
- 43:01Yeah, you have a podcast all about it and you're exhausted, you
- 43:07know what? I mean that they don't care, like so they're tired of
- 43:09it. No, I mean like they don't care. Yeah, but I
- 43:13think it sayesn't exhaust them. Well, it's story, you know the way
- 43:15the weight. I'm not gonna get those kind of words, right, smoke.
- 43:22So we're saying eighty eighty eight, right, eighty percent say the mock
- 43:29podcast Stevie and Ague, what do you think? Do you think that number
- 43:32is higher or lower than eighty exhausted by politics. People are inundated. Even
- 43:38the ones who are hard core politics like one side or the other or whatever,
- 43:44are fucking exhausted about it. So it is definitely high. I think
- 43:49exhausted is definitely something that many of us feel like, especially prolonged exposure to
- 43:54it. But I think for many a lot of people just come away from
- 43:58it agitated, not exhausted, but more riled up. Yeah, it's like
- 44:05just under eighty. I think it's actually lower. Yeah, I'm down with
- 44:07all, not by much, but okay, but you want to go lower?
- 44:10Correct sir? Okay much? Well, so Hillary and Tina said eighty
- 44:15percent, and Stevie and Aggie say lower. The correct percentage of Americans who
- 44:21say they always or often feel exhausted when they think about politics is sixty five
- 44:27percent. So you were absolutely right to go lower. Stevie and Aggie take
- 44:30the second survey, well tied it up, but yeah it's still sixty five
- 44:36percent. That's a lot, a lot. We shouldn't be having that many
- 44:38people exhausted about just how our system's supposed to go. Yeah, that that
- 44:44is what it is, man, But it's all tied up as far as
- 44:46this game goes. Each side has one survey, So let's move on to
- 44:50survey number three, and this time, Stevie and Aggie, you will give
- 44:52me the exact percentage According to a ugov dot com survey from September twenty twenty
- 44:59three, this month, Wow, what percentage of millennials say they have never
- 45:05heard of Joe Biden? No? What percentage of millennials say they have say
- 45:15they have never heard of Joe Biden? Are you in the US? Yep?
- 45:20What the fuck? I'm jumping. I'm gonna go swim to the ocean.
- 45:31This is stupid, This is stupid. Wait a minute, millennial millennial
- 45:37Jesus, not even like your kindergarteners or some bullshit. Hell what the millennial
- 45:43age right now? Millennials is from nineteen eighty what too, from nineteen ninety
- 45:50six or so? Okay, so there are people that are in their forties,
- 45:54you know, like late thirty. I'm a millennial then, and I
- 45:59know about him. I've known him since. God, so how many don't?
- 46:07How many said they've never heard of Joe Biden? Fuck? Maybe I'm
- 46:10just more involved trying to get mad. Let's have even heard the answer.
- 46:16Yeah, it's gotta be like, please, Now, it's in the thirties,
- 46:22it's gotta be lower. Third, God, what are you thinking,
- 46:24ag I'm thinking, like, don't say forties, that's gonna say sixty.
- 46:29No, no, no, no, that's unacceptable. No, no,
- 46:34we are doing that. We're gonna say, sir, sir, if I
- 46:36am truly in the age group of millennials, it's probably sixty. Come on,
- 46:42that don't know who he is my age groupies. You know who the
- 46:45no, not the brightest dude. Come on, let's go I know I'm
- 46:47run of them's. Let's let's inverted to like thirty something. It's a high
- 46:53thirty. I'll go fifty five. That is lows on. Fine, we're
- 46:58going on fifty five. But and then protests. Okay, I'm show in
- 47:01protests. So yeah, and Stevie at least partially reluctantly say that fifty five
- 47:08percent of millennials have never heard of Joe Biden Hillary And what do you think
- 47:17you're going? Lower? Yeah, okay, lower? It is so Stevie
- 47:22and Aggie say, fifty five percent of millennials have never heard of Joe Biden
- 47:27and Hillaryentina say lower. Well, I mean, like, no matter what
- 47:30the answer is it's kind of piss you off a little bit. Uh.
- 47:35The actual percentage of millennials who said this month that they have never heard of
- 47:40Joe Biden is six percent, so that one. Yeah, yeah, but
- 47:51yeah, it's possible, it is. It is six percent too high.
- 47:54It is legitimately six percent too high. He is the last. So they
- 48:00don't even know what states are in our country or you know what's price spite
- 48:04too if people who are against him are voting, No, I don't know
- 48:06who he is, just and I suppose that's possible. That's true. That's
- 48:12a good survey taker. So I don't apologize for that stupid comment by Hillary
- 48:22and Tina have taken two surveys. They just need one more to clinch this
- 48:28game and get a clean sweep against you guys, and they're going to choose
- 48:31the exact percentage of this time. So Hillary and Tinage, here is your
- 48:36survey according to a Yahoo News poll from last week. What percentage and this
- 48:43should be something you know a little something about what percentage of American women say
- 48:49they have a favorable opinion of Joe Biden. Oh no, so I think
- 48:54this is higher. Okay, I want to say it's definitely like fifty five
- 48:59or sixty pers Okay, I don't know. I don't know either, because
- 49:07also we don't know. We don't know how old these women were, right,
- 49:09Like, we don't get a it's all it's all age ranges. Ye,
- 49:15a favorable opinion. I mean, alright, fifty five percent, Oh
- 49:24yeah, let's do fifty five. I don't know, it's got to be
- 49:28less than that. I don't know. I don't know. All right,
- 49:30you want to lock in fifty five percent? Was so scared it's locked in
- 49:36fifty five percent? I read this article last week. I know I'm now
- 49:43who news all the time? Cheater? I'm not Yeah, who doesn't support
- 49:46us? Why would I support them? I'm like, I'm like Stevie read
- 49:58it's not the back of his medication and bottle. No, I can't rery
- 50:01that either, Right. I still believe, though, that the people surveyed
- 50:08are just gonna have favorable it's just a buff like just positive in any light.
- 50:13So I'm gonna say it's gonna be higher. I'm not gonna say it's
- 50:15much higher. I'm gonna say it's like around the fifty six to sixty two
- 50:17range. I have to agree with my partner, Okay, just because he
- 50:21got it wrong last time. He can't agree with me because I'm at a
- 50:24loss. So you guys say it higher, correct, all right? So
- 50:30worried, Hillary and Tina say fifty five percent of American women have a favorable
- 50:35opinion of Joe Biden. Stevie and Aggie say that numbers actually higher. The
- 50:38actual percentage of American women who say they have a favorable opinion of Joe Biden
- 50:45is forty one percent. That survey goes to the Muck Podcast and they have
- 50:50won this game three surveys to one. Brilliant. That was amazing, brilliant
- 51:00life well done, Absolutely well done. That was amazing. Uh, it's
- 51:06a clean sweep. They have won the episode six to zero. Desterroid,
- 51:13I mean, to be fair, this one was alastic, so it's kind
- 51:15of chalked up as loss. Anyway. We have to be we I mean,
- 51:21that's true, to be fair, to be fair, what what the
- 51:25way this show works is we basically invite people on and then we quiz them
- 51:30about their chosen subject, their chosen field, and we expect it expect the
- 51:37two of you to compete, so they know stuff about politics. Are saying
- 51:40we're handicapped, I'd be single time. I mean, and it's not just
- 51:45the wheed So anyway, it's still been delightful and incredible fun. Yeah,
- 51:52and I want to just close out by saying something that I truly believe that,
- 51:58Uh, the muck pod Cast is an extremely important podcast, genuinely,
- 52:02and I am just kind of in awe of the two of you for what
- 52:07you do because I know how important it is. And one of the one
- 52:12of the reasons it's so important is this last survey that we didn't get to,
- 52:16which is, according to that same Yahoo News poll, what percentage of
- 52:20Americans say they are not registered to vote? And the answer was thirty three
- 52:24percent. That hits me. That legitimately hits me where I live like that.
- 52:32That makes me kind of angry. Like I said at the start of
- 52:36the show, I love voting. I love that feeling of contributing to society,
- 52:42having a voice, being able to say what I think about how the
- 52:45way things should be run. It's so important and what the two of you
- 52:49do is so important. Now I will say I haven't been able to listen
- 52:52to every episode because sometimes I just get mad and have to turn it off,
- 52:59but it's it's not at all your fault, and a lot of those
- 53:01episodes have been wonderful. I absolutely loved the episode you did on Oppenheimer.
- 53:07That was so much fun. That was genuinely so much fun and made me
- 53:12want to go see the movie. I didn't wind up seeing it, but
- 53:15for a while there I was like, you know, I really should check
- 53:17it out because it's so interesting and you made it so interesting, and that's
- 53:22what I think. That's like such a service to Uh. I don't know,
- 53:28just just not even like humanity in general, but at least at least
- 53:30the state of Florida should be grateful that you exist, because I'm certain there
- 53:34are people who listen to you and think I should do more. I agree.
- 53:40That was incredible. Yeah, listen, I love the both of you.
- 53:46Call me whatever you want, like so sweet shit. Yeah, I'm
- 53:52gonna live on that for a month, at least a month. Well.
- 53:58I feel bad that we haven't been able to get you on the show earlier,
- 54:00right, but I'm glad we did eventually get around to it. Uh.
- 54:05And as much as I am going to be, you know, exorbiting
- 54:07everybody to let me be on their podcast, because I have a novel coming
- 54:10out. I dread the thought of going on one of your episodes and just
- 54:16kidding so mad that I just like kind of shut down and I can't continue,
- 54:22Like I don't know, maybe maybe if you want to have me on,
- 54:25we can maybe discuss something lighter. I don't know, but you would
- 54:29love to have but yeah, but you could come on and tell us in
- 54:32political story. That would be fun. I do enjoy storytelling, so that
- 54:38would be fun. But in any eventually, I just I just wanted to
- 54:43take a minute, not only to like, you know, tell people,
- 54:45hey, go check out the podcast and listen to what they're doing because it's
- 54:49good, important stuff, but you know, I just I just wanted to
- 54:53sing those particular praises because I know it's not easy what you do. I
- 55:00know, I know, not for a second, it's not easy what you
- 55:01do. If if I get angry listen to it, I can't imagine researching
- 55:05it. Yeah, it's right, you know what I mean, Like it
- 55:07has been for like even the first couple of years, I was so mad
- 55:12and we would tell stories and it's just you know, even the one I
- 55:15did one today that comes out on Wednesday, and it's about the zoot Suit
- 55:19riots, which like was a real thing. I had no idea. Yeah,
- 55:21I thought it was just a song. It's a real thing, but
- 55:23it was like eighty years ago, the same sort of like racism that exists
- 55:29today, and the way that they you know, the hours and the man
- 55:30tries to dismiss it, and and how we just we haven't changed, and
- 55:35it's kind of part of the human condition to kind of not change. But
- 55:39yeah, it is, it's probably it's it's definitely a very hard thing to
- 55:43do every week, especially because we're in it in Florida. It's a difficult
- 55:46place to live. Yeah, so yeah, but man, it means so
