- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe an Angie.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Mostly cloudy today with a high of forty seven.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Don't you tell me your full job?
- 0:13Speaker 1: All right, Angie? What was offered to you at this restaurant?
- 0:17Speaker 1: And you were not a fan of it? Because this
- 0:20Speaker 1: is I think it's probably popular everywhere, but especially here
- 0:24Speaker 1: in the Midwest.
- 0:25Speaker 3: This is you see this every place you go.
- 0:28Speaker 4: I feel like these two things don't go together. Okay,
- 0:31Speaker 4: I had gotten some pizza, right, everybody loves pizza, but
- 0:37Speaker 4: I was automatically offered ranch to go with it, and
- 0:41Speaker 4: that's ranch.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yes, no, no, not a fan. I don't think those
- 0:47Speaker 2: two things go together.
- 0:49Speaker 4: And I thought it was weird that it was such
- 0:50Speaker 4: an automatic Oh and you want some ranch with that?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Right? No, it's not even an offered side. It's an
- 0:55Speaker 3: implied it's.
- 0:56Speaker 2: An implied side. And I didn't like the implication.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I just I had never seen that before, and I
- 1:02Speaker 4: just don't think it goes together.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It'd be really tough for you having pizza at our house,
- 1:08Speaker 1: at the Glidden household.
- 1:09Speaker 2: What do you drench it all?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Dude, Corey is a sucker for some pizza and ranch.
- 1:15Speaker 1: If I ever, let's say I want to go, you know,
- 1:17Speaker 1: golfer do something with the boys. Now I don't really
- 1:20Speaker 1: do this, but you gotta, you know, pepper up the
- 1:22Speaker 1: lady a little bite. You know, you're trying to butter
- 1:24Speaker 1: them up to get permission to do something. I will
- 1:26Speaker 1: get pizza and ranch and it works one hundred percent
- 1:29Speaker 1: of the time. Ah d, yes, exactly right. Well, what
- 1:33Speaker 1: is your strange food combo? Because you have one that
- 1:36Speaker 1: is foul and I mean like the bird.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Oh wow, okay, mine is this is why I feel
- 1:43Speaker 4: like I shouldn't have said anything like about the ranch,
- 1:46Speaker 4: because I don't mean to yuck someone else.
- 1:47Speaker 3: That's yeah, true. If you like pizza and ranch, that
- 1:50Speaker 3: is your obligation.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I'm only prefacing it that way because I'm about to
- 1:53Speaker 4: tell you mine.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And it's that I like to eat.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Spaghetti and red sauce with sliced banana in it. I
- 2:01Speaker 4: could just slice up a banana and toss it into
- 2:04Speaker 4: your bowl of spaghetti and red sauce and it's delicious.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I do not understand this is it the is it
- 2:11Speaker 3: a texture thing? The flavor?
- 2:13Speaker 2: It's the flavor. It's not a texture thing.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I just think like hamburger, meat or beef and banana
- 2:19Speaker 1: does not sound.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's so good.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Banana needs to be on a T shirt. Somewhere is
- 2:26Speaker 1: riety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Miss
- 2:28Speaker 1: Angie a high A forty seven today, mostly cloud and
- 2:31Speaker 1: we want to know do you have a strange food
- 2:34Speaker 1: commination that you like? Angie likes sliced banana in her spaghetti,
- 2:39Speaker 1: which is something horrible. Mary, she said, peanut butter, miracle
- 2:43Speaker 1: whip and baloney sandwich so yummy.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I've never even heard of this me either. I'm not
- 2:49Speaker 4: gonna try it, but I haven't heard of it.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I might give this a whirl. I don't know.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I like this one. We got saltines and ice cream.
- 2:57Speaker 4: That sounds like a pregnancy craving, but I'm here for it.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Okay, What was there anything you kind of crave that
- 3:03Speaker 1: was weird when you were pregnant with your kids?
- 3:05Speaker 4: A chared hot dog with apricot jam, But I think
- 3:08Speaker 4: that would still be my jam right now?
- 3:10Speaker 3: All right, we do have Mike on the line. Mike,
- 3:12Speaker 3: what's a strange food combo you like?
- 3:14Speaker 1: Man?
- 3:14Speaker 4: I love a Thanksgiving time to mix my corn with
- 3:21Speaker 4: my mashed potatoes.
- 3:23Speaker 3: You're not alone on this, Mikey. I do this too.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I think it's the best combo at Thanksgiving.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I should really thought I was alone. Wow,
- 3:31Speaker 4: that's great.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So do you like to mix the gravy on there
- 3:34Speaker 1: and do something kind of a la poutine like they
- 3:37Speaker 1: do in Canada?
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I like to mix the gravy, or if I
- 3:42Speaker 3: don't have gravy, I'll.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Just have butter. But you know what it is for me,
- 3:46Speaker 4: it's the texture. It's not the taste. It's just kind
- 3:50Speaker 4: of a feel of it.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Oh, the little crunch of the corn in the mashed potatoes.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I really wish it was November.
- 3:56Speaker 4: All of a sudden, you guys, this has been so romantic.
- 4:00Speaker 4: You guys are really bonding. Invite each other over for
- 4:03Speaker 4: Thanksgiving please.

- 7:06Speaker 3: I like that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And there's gotta be other You know, you're not the
- 7:08Speaker 1: only person who's either shedding for a wedding this summer
- 7:12Speaker 1: or trying to get the beach bod rocket.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yeah, or even just like shedding for life. Like I
- 7:17Speaker 4: just I feel like i want to be more healthy
- 7:19Speaker 4: and more fit. So I'm open to doing that with
- 7:23Speaker 4: anybody here in the FM area.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Believe it liesome.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're listening this morning and you're, you know,
- 7:29Speaker 1: like Angie shedding for the wedding, whatever you want to

- 7:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:57Speaker 3: I like that all right? Would you ever do one
- 7:59Speaker 3: of those what are they drugs?
- 8:01Speaker 1: Would you ever do like oh zempic or would you know,
- 8:04Speaker 1: like a weight loss drug like the cheat drug?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Right?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Well, they call it that you still have to do work.
- 8:10Speaker 4: But the thing is with those is they just take
- 8:12Speaker 4: away your appetite, I think, and for me, I've literally
- 8:16Speaker 4: never eaten because I'm hungry, Like I feel like I
- 8:20Speaker 4: would gain weight.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Angie's the only person gaining weight on o zemp.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yes, I love that.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Today's Riiety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe, Angie.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Cloudy today with a high of forty seven, though it
- 8:33Speaker 1: does look pretty nice outside right now.
- 8:36Speaker 3: How's your weekend, Angie? What you'd end up doing? Did
- 8:38Speaker 3: you do? Uh?
- 8:40Speaker 2: I just went.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I went to the movies. I soaked up some sun
- 8:42Speaker 4: before the rain swept in. It was a nice time.
- 8:45Speaker 3: You didn't get your taxes, Donna.
- 8:47Speaker 4: No, Gabe, you know that I'm not a real adult,
- 8:51Speaker 4: and I know I have not done my taxes this
- 8:53Speaker 4: year or maybe some other years.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Well, do not forget tax day is tomorrow for most Americans,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and it turns out about thirty percent of adults have
- 9:06Speaker 1: not got them done yet.
- 9:07Speaker 3: So you're not alone. Okay, See, You're not the only
- 9:10Speaker 3: one who hasn't done this.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Actes are just so daunting, the deductions, the filling out
- 9:16Speaker 4: the things.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, they can be for sure.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Do you have your taxes done?
- 9:21Speaker 3: Of course? I have my taxes done. I do have
- 9:23Speaker 3: my taxes done.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I actually get them done pretty early every year, mostly
- 9:27Speaker 1: because it's like a protecting myself from myself thing. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: am so worried about losing this W two, which can
- 9:35Speaker 1: be a nightmare to replace from what we.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Sometimes it can be easy, I guess. I don't know.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'm just afraid this is going to actually end up
- 9:42Speaker 1: in the trash, or my cat will have torn it
- 9:45Speaker 1: in half, or the dog ate it, or I lose
- 9:47Speaker 1: it or whatever.
- 9:48Speaker 4: So your adulting is fear based, yes, and I respect it.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Well, it turns out most people above the age of
- 9:57Speaker 1: thirty have got their taxes done. A vast majority of
- 10:00Speaker 1: the people who have not got them done yet are
- 10:03Speaker 1: in their young twenties.
- 10:05Speaker 4: See, I'm just trying to stay young and hot, Dave.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven is gave an
- 10:12Speaker 1: Angie for the most part. Cloudy today in a high
- 10:15Speaker 1: of forty seven. It does look pretty nice.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Right now, though.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I've got some good news for you here today. That
- 10:21Speaker 1: involves a ninth grade student who is being called a
- 10:24Speaker 1: hero for saving her father's life using CPR techniques she
- 10:29Speaker 1: learned in her health science class.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Oh that's great.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Her name is Iris, and she was at home when
- 10:35Speaker 1: her father collapsed. Recognizing the signs of cardiac arrest, she
- 10:39Speaker 1: called nine one one and immediately started chess compressions, continuing
- 10:43Speaker 1: at CPR for more than ten minutes until the paramedics arrived.
- 10:48Speaker 6: The exercise that happens with doing CPR like that is
- 10:52Speaker 6: very strenuous on a person. It's not easy to do
- 10:54Speaker 6: for that long, and so to do CPR for ten
- 10:56Speaker 6: minutes it is absolutely.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Amazing, credible. That's a long time cool.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I got all of my CPR training from that one
- 11:04Speaker 4: episode of the Office, and I don't think that I
- 11:07Speaker 4: could do it.
- 11:07Speaker 3: She did. Yeah, yeah, Well, good on her. That's amazing.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Irits Iris, excuse me credits her teacher, Frank for her
- 11:18Speaker 1: for the hands on training and guidance that helped her
- 11:20Speaker 1: stay calm and take action when it was needed. She said,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I just remembered what we practiced in class. Her father
- 11:26Speaker 1: was unresponsive when emergency responders arrived, but they were able
- 11:30Speaker 1: to revive him and transport him to the hospital. He
- 11:33Speaker 1: was given a cardioverter defibrillator implant and is expected to
- 11:39Speaker 1: fully recover, all because of his daughter. How sweet is that?
- 11:42Speaker 1: I love that hey pay attention to science class kids.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It could save your parents' life one day. The world
- 11:47Speaker 1: is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 11:50Speaker 1: you gotta be one.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Lovely. The band and Broken is on for you right
- 11:53Speaker 3: now here on Big ninety eight point seven, Happy Monday.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Be ready for a phone call at ten eleven.
