- 0:45Welcome back to the boundary corn podcast.
- 0:49My name is Curtis Wilson. I'm Brian Sigler.
- 0:53How are you doing tonight, buddy?
- 0:55Thursday night Thursday night which is here's a little drink
- 1:01watching a little Hoops action. Plan.
- 1:06Tomorrow's Friday. Have that, sir.
- 1:09It's been. It's been a long week.
- 1:11It's been one of those weeks, not so much that I was that
- 1:14busy, but just everything seemed to be moving a little slower
- 1:19this week than I like you too. So it's going to be nice.
- 1:21Finally, getting to the weekend. Well, it's one of the Screwed Up
- 1:25weeks with the snow, right? Like dip start starting really
- 1:29Saturday, whatever you do on Sunday, your routine was shot.
- 1:34And then it was Sunday, Monday, 28.
- 1:36And finally, you get to Wednesday and Thursday and maybe
- 1:40you're getting back to your normal routine.
- 1:41So I get it. Same here.
- 1:44Yeah, it's one of those weeks man.
- 1:46And, you know, obviously Super Bowl this weekend.
- 1:51Unfortunately, we can't do Super Bowl things, can't do Super Bowl
- 1:55things, you know, in a perfect world.
- 1:59I'd have folks over here, make some good food set up outside if
- 2:04it's Not too cold with the the inflatable screen and the
- 2:08projector and watch the game outside as a as nature intended.
- 2:15But you know, we're not going to unfortunately, do that looks
- 2:18like even weather's not to cooperate so I can't even do
- 2:21that with my family. Let alone with a big-ass group
- 2:24of people, so I'm hoping you have good as it could be.
- 2:27But I think we'll still have a good time with it.
- 2:29You'll still be super old sticker.
- 2:31Watch Tom. Brady lose.
- 2:33Everybody can watch Tom, Brady lens.
- 2:37There is his prediction folk. It did not take but about 35
- 2:42seconds to the and he's already making it super bold prediction.
- 2:46Well I'm sure you're going to still be crushing and making a
- 2:49nice spread even Jose me just you and the fam right?
- 2:52Oh yeah, yeah. We're going to cook something on
- 2:55the grill. Probably do some definitely
- 2:58doing some wings and jalapeno poppers if not anything else.
- 3:02Outside probably probably throw a few dips in there.
- 3:05Maybe do some stuff. Okay, so who knows the Super
- 3:09Bowl? If you really do it, right.
- 3:11It's essentially it starts at about 3:00 and it goes to 10.
- 3:17So you just mentioned, you've got two dips, you've got to have
- 3:20snack food, you've got to have main course, but then you got to
- 3:23have additional snack food after the main course.
- 3:27Exactly. Exactly.
- 3:28I mean, the, the wings can kind of carry, you can put those in
- 3:32any point in that chain and it would be applicable.
- 3:35But You know, I think we're probably gonna get the wings as
- 3:39at least part of the main course, if not, you know, the
- 3:42the key player there. So we'll see still probably
- 3:45going to play in the spread tomorrow and then do the
- 3:48shopping on Saturday and getting everything ready.
- 3:50So, haven't got the full spread lined up yet, but you know, I've
- 3:54got the preliminary ideas out there dude.
- 3:57You make damn good wings and good Wing, so good.
- 4:01Alright, well, so good, well Hokie Nation tonight.
- 4:06What we're going to be doing is the final signing day was
- 4:09yesterday so we are going to be putting a wrap on the founda
- 4:14cruise, we didn't cover last time but since now and then a
- 4:19hit ton of news that happened around with nation.
- 4:23So we're going to dive into that first.
- 4:26Hit the recruits on the back end and Brian.
- 4:28Let's go ahead and start it, it was rumored last time, not long
- 4:32after the try recording. Happened.
- 4:36Darryl Tapp is gone goes to my San Francisco 49ers as the
- 4:42assistant defensive line coach not a shock, the writing was on
- 4:47the wall. So but you know officially gone
- 4:50though. It hurts officially gone you
- 4:54know, we talked about it a lot last time.
- 4:57So I'm not going to rehash a ton of stuff but this is good for
- 5:01him. Big for him.
- 5:03I loved that he made the video put At out on Twitter on social
- 5:06media talking about his dream of winning, a ring winning an NFL
- 5:12title. He's chasing that dream, you got
- 5:15to respect that and you know, he's a coach with a upward
- 5:21trajectory That if he gets opportunities like this, you
- 5:27know, got to take them, got to so good for him, glad to glad to
- 5:32hear that. He's at some place where he's
- 5:34with guys that he trusts and that he has a good relationship
- 5:38with. So that's going to be good for
- 5:39him. And how many guys who are
- 5:43growing their resume literally will get to say on their resume
- 5:47coached under Bill Terrell, Nick.
- 5:48My first year as a coach coach under chriskiss, Eric, my second
- 5:52year as a coach Not map. Not many guys.
- 5:55So he is building his resume and he has got right now and
- 6:00absolute stud line to work with. We'll see what happens in Grass.
- 6:04If we had some more pieces to it, but at peace was gone.
- 6:10We had add somebody right. Although, yeah, we did.
- 6:13I had, I had some negativity in me and saying, we're not going
- 6:16to add Bobby because, you know, It's freaking covid, is 20/20.
- 6:20We've done enough screwed-up stuff.
- 6:22But the man we mentioned is the man, they hired Okie Legend, JC
- 6:28price. Now, for those out there,
- 6:31listening, if you don't know the name JC price.
- 6:34First of all, stop the right here.
- 6:37Press pause on the podcast and go research him and go look at
- 6:42the 1995 team essentially, the team that catapulted the Hokies
- 6:47onto The national scene. It was an All-American.
- 6:52It was an all Big East player. He was using stud.
- 6:58Yeah, it's one of the four quarters of the lunch pail, the
- 7:00picture him coming off the sugar, bowl with the pale above
- 7:03his head. So he's going back to the roots
- 7:08of who we are. Everybody's been saying, well,
- 7:11we, how's he gonna help with recruiting yada yada, Brian.
- 7:15I'm going to let you take this with me because it's a personal
- 7:17relationship. You have with someone in a, well
- 7:20respected person down the 757. Yeah, so for those The don't
- 7:25know, I played college football with Chris Scott head coach
- 7:30Oscar Smith down in, Chesapeake won a State title at Ocean,
- 7:35Lakes and Virginia Beach. A lot of the guys that we
- 7:40recruit that are in those top 10, Virginia players.
- 7:45This guy's coach them And just reading through some of the
- 7:50stuff. He's been put on social media,
- 7:52caught this one, this was before the higher even came through for
- 7:55j.c. So I know I put it on the
- 7:58timeline, we had talked Chris, Scott talked about JC price
- 8:02hands down, one of the best I've ever been around a great fit for
- 8:06VTech right now. Second to none in recruiting and
- 8:09taking care of our guys. That's a big-time High School
- 8:15head coach. Being very very strongly about
- 8:22the type of guy that JC prices and that's what we're getting
- 8:25here. Somebody that understands the
- 8:29Virginia Maryland. D.c. 75 780 for recruiting
- 8:35footprint. Tara he knows the area.
- 8:39He's recruited the area. He knows these High School
- 8:42coaches. He's got personal relationships
- 8:45with these High School coaches. He's coming in, he's a Virginia
- 8:49Tech Legend. He's a guy that's done it.
- 8:52At a lot of different levels. So he's relating to the players,
- 8:56but he also has those Bona fides to back up.
- 9:00You know what he's done and who he is.
- 9:02So I think in terms of the situation with tap leaving be a
- 9:07pretty rough situation for the Hokies, this is the best case
- 9:10scenario fill that I could think of that isn't, you know, a big
- 9:15time Splash higher of some well-known coach who would never
- 9:19take an assistant defensive line coach role anyway so that That's
- 9:25my piece there. JC y'all, I mean, JC played in
- 9:31the NFL for three seasons injuries.
- 9:33Heard him there he came back to take as a ga from there.
- 9:36He went to J mu. He was there d-line coach when
- 9:39they won the national title and 04 and he was there until 2011.
- 9:44How many times I hate to say it. He got us in 2010.
- 9:50Then he goes to Marshall on the Doc Holliday.
- 9:52Obviously, they've had a great run of success there, But it's
- 9:58like it's like they lost out on tap in the personality and the
- 10:05connection and you put someone that it's almost right there.
- 10:12Yeah except he's coaching a lot longer.
- 10:15He's been in the recruiting game a lot longer along with that
- 10:18code offensive line coach. He is the defensive recruiting
- 10:21coordinator. New role but it's how you got
- 10:30him in the door and probably got them with the be interested to
- 10:34see his pay. But we told me that last time,
- 10:37they'll remember, we said that, you know, we didn't only
- 10:40question mark, we said about JC is, would he be willing to come
- 10:43in just as a co-defensive line coach and that he would need
- 10:48something else attached to that to sweeten the pot.
- 10:50And here we go defensive, you know?
- 10:53In guy here. So, that's a role that he can
- 10:57kind of put on his resume now, as well.
- 11:00You're here in Blacksburg and it's something that can justify
- 11:06the level of compensation. I think he would, he would have
- 11:09needed in terms of taking a back seat from an on-field
- 11:12perspective. So, Like it.
- 11:15Like I said, I think it was the best case option for what we
- 11:19were dealing with there and it was something that was very
- 11:23positive. I think in terms of what the fan
- 11:27base was looking for, in replacing Darryl, Tapp when he
- 11:31depart Absolutely, they not without it apart, there's no
- 11:37other way to say it. They knocked it.
- 11:38Clear out of the park and I think it's going to be good
- 11:44things going on. All right, let's move on because
- 11:48we got JC back alstom, but we mention the recruiting
- 11:51coordinator of the defense. Well we've also added some other
- 11:54titles two guys got added to their title this week.
- 11:59The first Adam electing Berg is now title of the off.
- 12:02Into recruiting coordinator and then Ryan Smith After The
- 12:07Unbelievable coaching job, he did last year gets a passing
- 12:12game coordinator title on his. I think Brian Smith got a raise,
- 12:17like tandberg probably got a raise.
- 12:20Now, I want to do this way Brian.
- 12:23Let's just talk about quick with Ryan Smith.
- 12:28Is this scare you that if we ball again on defense, actually
- 12:32the DBS. In the corners, like so many
- 12:37terms of him making a jump after he gets some good some partial
- 12:44coordinating position under his belt.
- 12:48Yes, and no. Okay, obviously right now Smith
- 12:51is a fast Riser we're seeing that just going from you know
- 12:56having success at JMU coming to us looking really good in year
- 13:00one especially considering the cards he was.
- 13:02With pretty much not having his two best corners for almost the
- 13:07whole season and then getting the production that he got out
- 13:11of Dorian strong as a true freshman.
- 13:13You know, that's a pretty big deal and the fact that he was an
- 13:17emergency play caller for one game when J Hamm was out with
- 13:20covid, you know, these are things that showed that Ryan
- 13:25Smith is going to be a guy to take seriously on this defensive
- 13:27staff and they're making some moves to show him.
- 13:32Hey, Hey, we respect what you did in year 1.
- 13:35Here's here's a little bit to show our appreciation for that
- 13:39and hopefully build that that relationship so that you know,
- 13:43he's not jumping ship right away.
- 13:46Well hopefully we can, you know, continue to cultivate that
- 13:50relationship and keep him around for a little bit as long as
- 13:54we're turning. Things around as a team as a
- 13:56whole, How I agree with you tenfold, that's the reason I
- 14:01think, I don't know how much like, and I'd be interested to
- 14:03see his pay play scale. Now, to the Lichen Berg one.
- 14:09I like it, because, like hamburgers one guys, it seems
- 14:12like whoever he touches they come in and they perform.
- 14:15Now, what I'm going to be very interested in, get your opinion
- 14:19on Brian is, how do you think the structure this is going to
- 14:23look? Do you think this is going to be
- 14:25them? You know, is it going to be the
- 14:28guys in the operation sector saying?
- 14:31Hey here are the guys we feel good about.
- 14:33They look at the do the player valuation with the other
- 14:36coaches? Invented that JC and Adam kind
- 14:41of sitting there saying, I know this is an offensive lineman
- 14:46been Vance. You're not touching this guy
- 14:48Jafar. This is your guy.
- 14:52Or JC. Yeah.
- 14:54I move within the lab Jack but Bill needs to talk to this guy
- 14:59like identifying personality traits and trying to match up
- 15:03that versus saying what the position coaches weenie conquer.
- 15:07You know that's a good that's a good assessment there because I
- 15:12feel like what he's done well in his time with the Hokies so far
- 15:18is that he's done a good job of identifying talent and however
- 15:23it is whether it's from him directly or filtering it through
- 15:26the right position coach or the right personality type.
- 15:30He's had a good, he's done a good job of not, only a getting
- 15:33those giucose guys those transfer guys in the building
- 15:36and On board but he's done a good job of once.
- 15:42They are on board we're seeing the dividends of bringing them
- 15:46in payoff on the field. Like there hasn't been very many
- 15:50guys that we brought in that Adams had a direct relationship
- 15:56with that having at least been a productive player, if not
- 16:00someone that turned into a star like a Khalil Herbert.
- 16:03So, that's, that's a positive here.
- 16:07I feel like from a perspective of identifying talent and
- 16:12getting those relationships, he's probably the best offensive
- 16:16coach that we have for that type of role.
- 16:20I feel like Chavez does a pretty good job.
- 16:25Vice and Jafar very hit-or-miss corn is very hit-or-miss to say
- 16:32the least but I feel like it before this the way Fuente was
- 16:38talking in the press conference and almost made it seem like
- 16:41this was a role that corn kind of had de facto up until this
- 16:47point in terms of the High School portion.
- 16:51Of the recruiting blueprint and having a guy like Adam take that
- 16:55whole thing over and not just be focused on the transfer portal
- 16:58and the Juco, guys, I feel like that's going to pay some
- 17:02dividends. And also, you partner him with a
- 17:04guy like JC that already has these relationships with some of
- 17:08these coaches. I think that's going to be a
- 17:10good groundwork, to get him in the door and pay dividends
- 17:15there. Because honestly, we haven't had
- 17:17an offensive coach that really has as deep relationships in the
- 17:22state. And I think that's why you've
- 17:23seen a lot of the our offensive talent coming from out of state.
- 17:28By the way on this if that's truly the case of what corn was
- 17:32doing now he has absolutely no excuses or a piss-poor offense
- 17:36this year. He has one thing he has to focus
- 17:38on one thing. All right, we're gonna move on.
- 17:41There's a few other things that press conference.
- 17:50I mean, you know, I don't disagree.
- 17:54All right, let's take a look at the press conference.
- 17:56We set watch the whole thing chitchat while I was going on.
- 18:01Um, one thing that jumped out to me and you one was not a shock
- 18:07one, shocked me, but then made me happy Daryl, Bailey moving
- 18:11over to offensive line. Something everybody has said, a
- 18:14lot of people have said from the beginning.
- 18:16That's its bit. Why wasn't he there to begin
- 18:18with? So sharp there, right?
- 18:21No shock there. And I mean, In its kind of six,
- 18:25one half dozen of the other, we're going to be somewhat thin
- 18:28in a cycle or two at both offensive line and defensive
- 18:32line at this point. It's better to get him where he
- 18:35helps the most because we've shown the ability to bring in a
- 18:39lot more transfer and Juco defensive lineman than we have
- 18:44offensive lineman, get him on offense, get him where he needs
- 18:49to be so hopefully in a year or two.
- 18:50He's ready to contribute. The other one was the clean
- 18:55Rudolph who was looking at a safety.
- 18:58And now he's being moved to backer because he's just grown
- 19:02too much. Can you talk with 64 200 coming
- 19:06in? How big is he now to be moving
- 19:09from safety to backer? Yeah, that's that's telling me,
- 19:13he's like, at least in the upper two teens, if not already 220.
- 19:18Plus it also tells me that as soon as he got on campus, he got
- 19:24to work. Yeah.
- 19:26Because I'm what he was what? Projected as the hurry.
- 19:31What the case for the three at the Rover.
- 19:34Right? I'm trying to remember where he
- 19:36wasn't it, but he was, he was number three.
- 19:38And one of the safety positions on the depth chart this year,
- 19:40which, you know, originally gave us pause because a lot of us had
- 19:44projected him as being a wide receiver, you know, before we
- 19:48even got him committed. So in fact, the came in as a
- 19:53third-string said, you were like, oh okay, well, maybe but
- 19:57moving to back or I feel like is going to be really good for us
- 19:59because what we are missing at the linebacker position is
- 20:02athleticism. And Having a guy that's been
- 20:04able to play wide receiver plays safety.
- 20:08Now, bring that athleticism to the linebacker level, if he
- 20:12picks up technique and he picks up all those things that he
- 20:14needs to to play the position. Well, I mean the sky's the limit
- 20:19for him for real because he's got length, and he's getting
- 20:22sighs apparently. So, I say it mr.
- 20:26Meehan 2.0 mr. Main, he has a potential to be
- 20:30Tremaine 2.0. Jermaine came in at about 2:15
- 20:33by the time he left. He was in the to 40s if he's 220
- 20:36right now and that's all I can every time I think about, I hear
- 20:39420 saying he's just gotten too big.
- 20:42It tells me that he is in that to 20 range where I'm not gonna
- 20:48not. If he's showing.
- 20:52The, the big stuff man. Yeah, he might be he might be
- 20:56competing to get some PT this year.
- 20:59Yeah, I mean if you mix up the position then yeah I mean
- 21:02because in terms of just athleticism and build I mean
- 21:06he's already going to be kind of where the the competition is.
- 21:11So I mean, if he picks up the nuances of the position, the
- 21:14sky's the limit for the kid and that's just talking about, you
- 21:18know, what would be technically is Redshirt freshman year, but
- 21:23it's really not a red chairs. Just these true freshman part 2.
- 21:28Awesome. Yeah.
- 21:30All right, let's Braun. We can tune our own horns on
- 21:33this point. They said in the press
- 21:34conference, he didn't make any bones.
- 21:37We need help on the offensive line, death lies, we're not
- 21:40shot. We've been saying it.
- 21:45We were going to. So in one or two cycles, we were
- 21:48going to need a significant amount of offensive line help
- 21:51before Nestor and Hudson left. One first, rain Hudson left, it
- 21:56became an immediate. Need, we still probably need at
- 21:59least one tackle to come in for either Juco or transfer portal
- 22:03at this point. That's just to not feel worried
- 22:09going into this season. If you look into what could
- 22:13happen in 22 and 23, things get a little dicey.
- 22:16If we don't make some big-time plays for lineman in this cycle.
- 22:23So that's my piece. Now I'm going to play this.
- 22:27Something else coach mentioned when you were talking about, you
- 22:31know, talk about the of any kind of transition to do you know
- 22:34after spring and things are going to start happening.
- 22:37Guys are going to get in the portal.
- 22:39Guys are going to graduate and want to leave.
- 22:41Zion to Bo gets in the portal today, not a shot, especially
- 22:46when you hear about Justin beetles and how much I think he
- 22:50said Justin Beatles had gained 20 plus pounds.
- 22:53That means Justin Beatles is when the 250 to 260 range at
- 22:58tells me likely Keen. He's come in and he's done work
- 23:02in his body is up to that point. He's potentially ready to start
- 23:07helping on the defensive line. So if Vine leaves best of luck
- 23:15them, wherever he lands, but we're going to keep, I think
- 23:18we're going to see somewhere between 3 to 5.
- 23:20As in the portal between now and May 1st.
- 23:24And we're going to probably be able to drill after the giucose
- 23:27and portal tackles this year and even more.
- 23:31So at August first, It's a transfer for your charge is
- 23:40true, man. And we've got a got some roster
- 23:42spots here and we've got, you know, as you said probably one
- 23:46or two immediate fills and then probably another two to three
- 23:52that are going to happen after spring practice.
- 23:55Maybe we're talking, maybe, maybe maybe four to five
- 23:58positions between now, and when summer hits, that, that could
- 24:01potentially be open to some further action in the transfer
- 24:05portal. So keep the keep the eyes open.
- 24:08Like I said, we particularly need some offensive line, help
- 24:12as bad as it is to say, I wouldn't mind if we took a
- 24:17chance on a certain running back, that's no longer has a
- 24:24home at a power, five institutions.
- 24:25Ocean. And that's not to say we don't
- 24:28have enough running backs, but it would be nice to have a
- 24:32Dependable running back with significant amount of carries
- 24:36and experience at the power 5 level to carry that load.
- 24:40That's no, not to keep Shaun, King, know, not to Jalen Holston
- 24:45know not to. Hopefully it's they're not to
- 24:48Blackshear because he shouldn't be right at the running back
- 24:50position. Most of his snaps anyway but
- 24:53that's okay. Gosh.
- 24:59Yeah, there's definitely room for growth in the portal and
- 25:03honestly not just room for growth, but a need for growth in
- 25:05the portal. All right, let's move on.
- 25:09Obviously yesterday was Signing Day, although there were no
- 25:13additional signings between original signing day and
- 25:18yesterday, the Hokies picked up three, I would say, big guys who
- 25:24had opportunities he's to go elsewhere with scholarship
- 25:27offers but chose to be preferred, Walk-Ons.
- 25:31All over here are the r-va you got Cameron olds over at
- 25:35Midlothian on Southside. You got Jabari Parker out of
- 25:38Highland Springs over in the East End and you got miles Ellis
- 25:43at a deeper on out here in the West End.
- 25:46And you know, and as soon as I saw yesterday, as soon as MI
- 25:53Committed Jabari. Retweeted that thing and put
- 25:57what our VA to Tech. Yep.
- 25:59It's just like, you know, the the fact that we're hitting some
- 26:04of these schools that we probably have lost focus on even
- 26:08if we're just getting some, some preferred walk-on guys in the
- 26:12building, getting those guys in the building is going to help
- 26:15down the road. I'm sad that it's taken this
- 26:19long to start making some Headway on this front though.
- 26:23So I mean you get a you get a pat on the back for finally
- 26:26doing it. You know you get a kick in the
- 26:28nuts to because you waited this long, it's definitely picking
- 26:32the nuts. It's definitely a kick in the
- 26:35because it's taken six freaking years, it's taken six years and
- 26:41maybe that's the thing. All of these guys were
- 26:43borderline guides and you know what, we should have probably
- 26:50been doing a few years ago is saying I can give you a
- 26:53scholarship but we're going to put you on a pwo.
- 26:57Come on please you know in and then go back and show how over
- 27:02like Hopi tradition. If you're a great walk on you're
- 27:05going to get a scholarship. Yep.
- 27:08Bust your ass and play football. You're going to get a
- 27:10scholarship and let's hope this goes not only here but elsewhere
- 27:18in the state as well man. Brian I move on here and hey we
- 27:24got a five-star commitment. Went from punter, Nick lettuce,
- 27:298, it's good. I know there are a lot of 5
- 27:32stars with the punters, but you always want to try to grab one
- 27:34of those and usually those often come in immediately and start
- 27:37kicking well, you think Golf club, man, we got a punter.
- 27:43Let's move on. We move on.
- 27:46Alright, schedule release. I don't want to get too deep
- 27:51into this because we need we need conditioning to go on.
- 27:57We need Spring ball to go on. We need summer transfer portal
- 28:00for we dive deep into this, but what I'm going to ask, Brian
- 28:04you, and I'm going to make my own input on this.
- 28:07When you take a look at this schedule where we're opening,
- 28:10North Carolina on Thursday or Friday night, probably the
- 28:15Middle, Tennessee, West, Virginia Richmond, we get our
- 28:17break after Richmond. Notre Dame, pit hair cuse,
- 28:21Georgia Tech, BC Duke. Miami UVA.
- 28:24How do you feel about the flow of this schedule this year?
- 28:30I mean, looking at it, there's not a whole lot that we could
- 28:33have asked for more except for maybe flipping one of those.
- 28:38November Road games to a to a home game at some point in
- 28:42giving a home game, a little bit earlier in the schedule, but in
- 28:46terms of how We're stacking the competition in the ACC relative
- 28:53to the non-conference and relative to the homes in a ways.
- 28:57I kind of like it, I think it was, you know, there's not a
- 29:00whole lot of changes I'd make to it.
- 29:02So what about you, man saying the flow of this schedule if If
- 29:11we can't have a good record with the flow of this schedule, the
- 29:16day after UVA people aren't fired, there should be some, I
- 29:22can go to merryman and not going with Babcock store and say
- 29:24what's wrong with you? Our schedule has been set up to
- 29:27where a minimum Of a twin should happen.
- 29:32Minimum sure you're going Lord, if you go, if you say what
- 29:38should happen versus what? I think will happen.
- 29:41Those are two different numbers right now.
- 29:43But there's still Improvement left to be made to the roster.
- 29:47There's still other changes that might be made to the staff
- 29:51potentially. So I mean, we saw some this
- 29:54week, so I'm going to leave that open for for, for possibility
- 29:58here. So, you know, right now.
- 30:00Now I say we should win 8. I think we win 6.
- 30:05Here's the thing, the toughest to game stretch on this schedule
- 30:09is Notre Dame, pit and Notre Dame's after freaking by week at
- 30:12home and pits at home. That's the toughest.
- 30:17Two games stretch. All year.
- 30:20Yep, we get Syracuse at home. We don't have to go to the
- 30:24fucking Carrier Dome. Yeah.
- 30:26It's Joy BC. Georgia Tech.
- 30:32The BC is going to be tough because it's a Saturday to a
- 30:35Friday night and they're both away.
- 30:38So, guys are gonna be on the plane boat clowns but they're
- 30:42both middle to bottom of the ACC.
- 30:46The one thing I will not this staff, when they need to be
- 30:50knock, what I will give them Kudos.
- 30:52The one thing they are really good at opening game plan in to
- 30:55get more Carolina in Lane where there should be fan.
- 31:00I'm September because every human body saying what I
- 31:05mid-june we're going to have everyone in the state of
- 31:08Virginia, they won't Maxine. You have a vaccine that Stadium
- 31:12should be pulled to get them on a Thursday night.
- 31:15Hoping I hope it's Thursday. Get that lower back to get them
- 31:20early. We know this coaching staff can
- 31:23plan how to ass or opening games.
- 31:29So we'll see. Schedules the way we need it.
- 31:34Coaching cab do your job? Yep.
- 31:36No worries! No excuses whatsoever.
- 31:39All right. Brian, we're going to flip over
- 31:41just for a couple minutes and hit some non-football related
- 31:44topics. You take basketballs been
- 31:47rolling, even with the loss at Pitt yesterday.
- 31:50The big win against UVA. The we're tournament team.
- 31:56I am just going to say that. I think the winds we have in the
- 31:58record we have right now. I think we're at tournament team
- 32:02but the one big piece that happened since we, you know,
- 32:07last signed on was Tyrese radford's DUI and gun charge
- 32:11where he is now, pleaded guilty to the DUI charge and the gun
- 32:15charges under advisement for the next year, it was suspended
- 32:19immediately by the team, but this happening this week but the
- 32:23guilty plea Do you think's going to happen?
- 32:26Brian. What do you think?
- 32:28Where we're going to move him and buy more?
- 32:32I think so I think at this point, you're going to see
- 32:35something come out in the next week in terms of He's back with
- 32:42the team but he still suspended for X number of games somewhere
- 32:46between February, I'd say, February 20th.
- 32:51In February 25th, he rejoins the team in terms of being able to
- 32:55play in a game that gives you about a week leading into the
- 32:59ACC tournament. So I think by ACC tournament
- 33:03tournament time Radford. We'll have one or two closing,
- 33:11the regular season contests under his belt and ready to
- 33:13start the tournament. So we shall see.
- 33:15But that that is my hope. I think that that would show
- 33:20that Mike young is Giving him a degree of punishment for the
- 33:26action. But saying we still need you, we
- 33:30still want you, we still got your back.
- 33:33And he said, so in his release and that was probably the most
- 33:37well, oh God, I did release on a player that's dealing with that
- 33:44situation that I've seen. So kudos to Mike young for how
- 33:47he's handled this whole thing, absolutely, the other things
- 33:51with With Tyrese. Is he quickly admitted to it?
- 33:57It wasn't. If you still have some of the
- 34:00stuff he basically quick, I'm in the wrong.
- 34:04I'm pleading guilty because it was my fault, but it made me
- 34:07Brian raised a question here tonight, but we jumped on It
- 34:11said it in the release. He was at tots before.
- 34:17Anybody at several spots, if you go there as a college student,
- 34:20you know what's going to happen? Here's my question.
- 34:25Me and Brian were in school 15 years ago.
- 34:28Ryan was in him to Sydney football.
- 34:29I was in a fraternity at Longwood weekend days, we had
- 34:34set designated drivers. People.
- 34:40This is yours. Here's your shift.
- 34:42You start. Here you go to here.
- 34:45Weekdays usually somebody was always sober.
- 34:48So if you went out and got shit-faced some where people
- 34:52would come get you how is this not happening?
- 34:57Yeah. I mean it seems like at this
- 35:00point there will be some degree of coordination.
- 35:03Also, in the times of uber and the times of being connected
- 35:11with everyone at the push of a button, it just seems like how
- 35:17is this? I was something not put in place
- 35:20within the team or within you know some sort of P whether it's
- 35:26the You know, athletic guys something put together to say,
- 35:30hey if you need, if you're out somewhere and you're too drunk
- 35:35to do anything with your vehicle, here's who you call
- 35:38your. So you contact.
- 35:39Here's a you text, you know, FaceTime.
- 35:43You know what, whatever you need to hit up.
- 35:45This is who you hit up. We were doing it in the
- 35:50mid-2000s. There's no excuse to not be
- 35:53doing it now. Nope, that's when cell phones
- 35:56were first prevalent, you'd call your DD.
- 35:58They come pick you up from Mulligan's on High Street by the
- 36:01way. Bra on Thursday night, if this
- 36:03was 15 years ago, we would be no coming. 79 cent, rail drinks,
- 36:14and then three dollar pictures after that.
- 36:16Come on, man. But you know what?
- 36:19We would be doing. We will be calling someone to
- 36:21come drive us home afterwards. We move on another sport.
- 36:26That is absolutely rolling right now and that is Virginia Tech.
- 36:30Men's wrestling men's wrestling right now is ranked eighth in
- 36:35the country are undefeated between their jewels and their
- 36:41other competitions and Friday night on the ACC Network.
- 36:45They got this, right? It is a massive top 10 showdown
- 36:50at 8. Number 3, NC State comes into
- 36:54Cassell Coliseum, NC State hasn't lost any meats or duels
- 36:57all year cute. I give whoever was in charge of
- 37:01putting this on Friday night. Genius, it sucks.
- 37:06It sucks that no, more than 250 kids can get into this?
- 37:12Yep. Because I have a feeling that
- 37:14would be a rocking atmosphere. It would be Believable.
- 37:18Yeah, it'd be. It'd be incredible.
- 37:21You know, while we're here. I mean wrestling has been
- 37:23knocked out of the park guys. Complete annihilation of who was
- 37:28it Duke the other day or t23? Yeah, it was completely complete
- 37:33Annihilation. And, you know, got some of the
- 37:37The better individual wrestlers in the entire nation.
- 37:41And now the team is a whole ranked 8th that that's a
- 37:44big-time program that we've got here.
- 37:47While we're on the subject of the AC to DC Network getting
- 37:50this right? And we just talked about
- 37:52basketball, how do they keep screwing up?
- 37:55Not putting their ranked match ups on the freaking Network that
- 38:01has their friggin name on it. I don't know before I jump into
- 38:06that though, after the blowout of Duke, they didn't beat the
- 38:09number 12, link our heels in the Dual couple days later.
- 38:14I don't understand it, DC Network, I don't see network so
- 38:25I hope you're playing pit just a couple months ago.
- 38:29And these are right. It's considered a good team.
- 38:32It's a bubble team. Yeah.
- 38:34And you're sitting here like oh cool, ESPN2, maybe even ESPN.
- 38:39Okay, definitely SEC network. Now that easy nothing extra.
- 38:45I swear, they're the people that are running that no clue what to
- 38:48do. If they want to give us three
- 38:49hundred thousand dollars a year, we would crush it and you
- 38:54wouldn't have to sleep back here in Durham on repeat for 17
- 38:56working hours. It's like, you know, I've got
- 39:00nothing against Packer and Durham I feel like Packard
- 39:02Durham or perfectly fine at what they're doing.
- 39:06I just don't need that much of them.
- 39:09Not at all. We'll move on off that because
- 39:13we could probably go H to believe it or not they do have
- 39:18some really good shows two three day weekend show if you watched
- 39:20that yet. Yeah yeah.
- 39:23One that's that's the content you want though?
- 39:27Kudos to them for that but a lot of the other stuff is just.
- 39:30All right, Deuteronomy gets nominated for The Dudley award,
- 39:33which will be awarded in the spring.
- 39:36You agree that you should have been our nominee.
- 39:40I agree that he should be our nominee and I 100% think he
- 39:43should fucking win it. Yes the guy led the nation in
- 39:47all-purpose yards. That is this inverse?
- 39:50All first-team All-American offensive tackle.
- 39:55That's why I want a Virginia Tech player to win it.
- 39:58You put your fucking running back in there and I'm an
- 40:01offensive lineman saying that they know what they're doing
- 40:05here. I mean, As much as I love.
- 40:07What? What Christian Dara saw did.
- 40:11Yeah, there's something more sexy about the running back with
- 40:14the big numbers and it is the tackle.
- 40:16That's just really damn good. Every fucking snap.
- 40:20Yep. That's what I hope happens.
- 40:24They're going to wait till after the FCS season for JMU and you
- 40:27know other things because obviously Dudley's with a live
- 40:30near you know your alma mater is going to be starting its
- 40:32football pretty soon here to maybe May rolls around.
- 40:37They usually do that out in at one of the hotels here in the
- 40:41West End. And we can go, maybe they're
- 40:44letting people if not. And you know, it is what it is.
- 40:48All right. We're going to completely turn
- 40:50off poke talk for the next few minutes here and we're going to
- 40:55discuss a couple things. Let's start first brine.
- 40:59Our teams were heavily vested in potentially trying to acquire
- 41:02Matthew Stafford, right? Yes.
- 41:05That was the big push. And unfortunately, for both of
- 41:10us It did not work out because where did Matthew Stafford end
- 41:14up? It went to the Rams.
- 41:16Unfortunately them trading form isn't you know, it's one of
- 41:20those things you heard rumors, what they gave up.
- 41:24No, no, there's an honesty. Not giving up that much.
- 41:31You get Matt Stafford, they gave up good ones.
- 41:36This year's third, which they don't have a first.
- 41:38I don't think they have a second.
- 41:40The they don't have picked up probably the fourth round now.
- 41:43Yep. They lucky that the lions are
- 41:48willing to take the golf contract, which was a terrible
- 41:51contract. That's the only good part.
- 41:55It's true man. It's also a lesson in why you
- 41:58don't give people contracts off one year of success?
- 42:03No well we're in that spot for the with Jimmy But the way his
- 42:09contracts negotiated, if we ran another quarterback, we can cut
- 42:13him with no cap casualties. It's like, yeah, I mean, you're
- 42:17you you can move on a lot easier now it costs money for you to
- 42:20keep him but it doesn't cost you as much if you find someone else
- 42:24to replace. It wasn't.
- 42:27We're in a position now where I mean we're out of we got rid of
- 42:32rivers contract when he retired, you know, we're out from.
- 42:38Some other contracts on our roster.
- 42:40So we've got we've got some cap room to spend.
- 42:43I don't like mortgaging a draft in order to or draft in a half.
- 42:48You know, we've got the cap room to make some other moves.
- 42:52I'd like us to maybe, look at Donald.
- 42:55I feel like that is the option. Don't don't say Wentz.
- 43:00No one wants wins. I love.
- 43:06I love that everyone's talking about the relationship with
- 43:13Wentz and Coach, right? But I just feel like If if you
- 43:18want to bring in a quarterback and you're actually spend money
- 43:20on your quarterback that quarterback needs to be
- 43:22available. It doesn't matter how good you
- 43:25are and when's hasn't been that great of late.
- 43:27But if you're not available, it doesn't matter how good you are.
- 43:31We saw that with paid Manning towards the end of his tenure
- 43:34with the Colts. And we saw that with Andrew luck
- 43:36with all went with him getting banged up.
- 43:39No, do not discrediting. Andrew Luck.
- 43:41I mean, he put his ass out there every time and I've got no
- 43:44problem with the decision he made ultimately but The big
- 43:48problem was is that injuries caused him to miss games, so you
- 43:51can't be great. If your quarterback is missing
- 43:53games, true, a above-average Dependable, quarterback is a lot
- 43:59better than the elite guy. That is only available for 10
- 44:02games a year. I have an above-average
- 44:05quarterback, that's an out of shit, ton of games and You know,
- 44:13I'm go back to this with Garoppolo.
- 44:17Garoppolo's ACL tear screwed everything up because the rock
- 44:23below had that of a pocket passer.
- 44:25He had the upper end athleticism, you could see it
- 44:29the way he moved in the pocket and things like that.
- 44:31When he screwed his knee up and some people argue and say no it
- 44:35didn't do Jimmy with know if you watch hands offense.
- 44:39Like you you know, Brian from watching years and years.
- 44:41He wants those bootlegs, he wants rollouts.
- 44:43He wants guys, they can move around the CL hook that from
- 44:47like, not my vicar. Anything like that level.
- 44:51But like a Steve Young right at the Steve.
- 44:53Youngest level and it lowered it.
- 44:56I'm not saying Peyton Manning but not he's wearing the middle
- 45:00somewhere and you can't be that. I don't know what's going to
- 45:03happen. The only thing I'll say is this
- 45:07As a Niners fan. If we don't draft one or trade
- 45:12for one, I think the regime that I like, because the guys know
- 45:16how to draft and know how to coach is gone in a couple years
- 45:20because they're gonna lose this year, they're gonna lose next
- 45:22year, they're gonna be out. White on the other hand, you're
- 45:26hoping they figure it out. I mean I think we've got a lot
- 45:29more room to work with just because number one we have made
- 45:34the playoffs. I honestly, we're right there.
- 45:39We see that. It's one or two moves away from
- 45:43being a really damn good team to just being a playoff team, you
- 45:48know, you get the right quarterback in there, you Shore
- 45:50up, you know, 11 probably one more skill.
- 45:53Addition and then you add somebody on the defensive line
- 45:56to pair with some of the studs you've already brought in and I
- 46:00think then you're cooking. So if we can do that we're
- 46:06looking pretty good. Absolutely.
- 46:09All right, we're going to roll on and we're gonna hit one more
- 46:12topic, non Hokies related but kind of Hokies related.
- 46:17Brian, that tweet came out from EA Sports this week, man.
- 46:22Dude? Collectively, anybody?
- 46:26That's a college football fan. Anybody that is a video game
- 46:30fan. Just smiled anybody that has
- 46:34been into college football at all in the last 10-plus years,
- 46:40just like lost their Collective shit.
- 46:45I'm saying at least the last ten, at least the last time
- 46:48because I mean you know, there's younger people that don't really
- 46:50know what the fuck you're talking about here or at least
- 46:52not to the degree that we're talking about.
- 46:53It. But if you've been a college
- 46:56football fan, at least for the last 10 years, you know that
- 47:00NCAA football, is a great treasure and we're finally
- 47:07getting it back in some way shape or form in the coming
- 47:10years. The fact that they're able to
- 47:13bring it back I don't I sounds like what they're going to do is
- 47:16I guess individually negotiate with.
- 47:19Institutions in order to get licensing and things of that
- 47:22nature. So it's nice to see that they
- 47:26are working those channels and not trying to get the blanket in
- 47:29CA a license. Yep.
- 47:33Well I got two questions for you.
- 47:35First is going to be as actually they're both kind of from a
- 47:38gamer aspect one. Do you want them?
- 47:43Would you rather them try to push it out in the next 18
- 47:46months? Or do you want them to Slow Burn
- 47:49and get this shit right? And maybe it's 2023 2024 before
- 47:54we see it. That's the game.
- 47:56Ran fact my first question. I'm going to take the ladder
- 48:00there, I want them to get it right the first time so that any
- 48:05iteration going forward is more putting icing on the cake
- 48:10instead of having to fill in some of those gaps.
- 48:15Just because if they end up going with the one-year cycle
- 48:18that they were doing before, it's a lot harder to make
- 48:21wholesale improvements in just a one-year cycle.
- 48:26So I would prefer them. Um, to, to be working on that
- 48:30front where they get all of the core mechanics.
- 48:34All of the main gameplay mechanics where they need to be
- 48:39a lot of the, the primary modes are polished and ready to go.
- 48:46Your road to glory, is what it means to be Dynasty is what it
- 48:51needs to be, if you can get those two fully polished and you
- 48:54can tweak some other things as you go along.
- 48:59Second question. It's been so it'll be probably
- 49:03somewhere between eight, ten years when it's released?
- 49:08What aspect do they need to have in that game that they haven't
- 49:13had before? Where it's like, God forsake can
- 49:15you just put this in the game? Because it matters to be funny
- 49:23Bag, Man. I'm gonna write that down, but
- 49:33something that everyone won't deny.
- 49:41I mean, I think kind of more deep.
- 49:46Recruiting integration things like where coaches would go to
- 49:49camps and do scouting that way, deeper level recruiting tools?
- 49:55Like that would be, will be something to put in there
- 49:58especially since camps and become a big big, big part of
- 50:03the recruiting Trail relative to even when the game was put out
- 50:07last time. So I think that that'd be good.
- 50:10I mean, if we're going to, you know, throw another funny out
- 50:13there. If when you go if you get
- 50:15Created by Florida. You got to have a cabana outside
- 50:18of the football facility. All right, well, let me show you
- 50:24mine, I'm seri it. Have to make 85 player rosters.
- 50:30They have to look at is the way it's done under that a shit ton
- 50:36of creating players and building those models and you know
- 50:40simulated players and all that stuff but you know and God I'm
- 50:46still playing 2004 Collegiate football and when I can only
- 50:48recruit nine guys a year, it's just like Jesus Christ.
- 50:52Like this is unrealistic. Make that realistic.
- 50:56I need a full Boat Boat. Now, the funny thing that I
- 51:03want, it's not fun because it's Gotta Have Siri, I want option
- 51:08to basically become saving or become Bear, Bryant type modak
- 51:13true coaching mode, okay, but inside that coaching mode, if
- 51:21you screw up I want some hilarious outtakes of how you
- 51:25can be fired. I know what.
- 51:29Yep. Your coach, you know.
- 51:33Brian, you're trying to work your way up there and I'm
- 51:36coaching Miami. Let's just put them out there
- 51:41just because And I go up wiper gonna get my ass.
- 51:46Absolutely Beatdown 4914, they show a picture of me, getting
- 51:51off the team bus, the ad walks off the airplane, stop.
- 51:59Can't get on the plane. You've been fired.
- 52:02Won't that type of riddle? Here's your commercial ticket.
- 52:09We'll see you later. You're going to your flight
- 52:14going to take a while to get there.
- 52:16The kids will be gone. Use coming clean after all the,
- 52:18make sure you out by 8:00 in the morning when the other guys get
- 52:20their stuff like that and then you talk about bagman, wouldn't
- 52:25it be funny to if the coach doesn't know about The Bag, Man,
- 52:29and then he goes to recruit a kid and bag man's there.
- 52:35And the auto coach didn't know, you were showing up to dead.
- 52:40Okay. That I'll see.
- 52:42Myself out we're we're gonna move on folks and we're going to
- 52:47get our big topic tonight which is taking a look at the
- 52:51additional and the remaining recruits for the 2021 class.
- 52:55Just like last time, we're going to discuss them and then we're
- 53:00going to look at the 2021 role on the team rolling 2023.
- 53:05And then with their best attribute to Brian.
- 53:09I'm going to go ahead and pull it up here.
- 53:11Let's start. Art, you know what?
- 53:13Let's start with Taj Bullock the Dual threat quarterback out of
- 53:16st. Peter's prep in Jersey City, New
- 53:18Jersey three-star, 85 rated offers from, Rutgers offers from
- 53:23Boston, College six-foot-four, 220 pounds of already built to
- 53:29play. What do you see as role in 2021
- 53:33brine with team? I mean, this is going to be
- 53:38strictly emergency like quarterback if the entire Wheels
- 53:45fall off the situation at the quarterback room, we'll put him
- 53:49in there, not. That's no not to his ability.
- 53:52I think he's a guy that has some good skills and he's a,
- 53:58definitely a proven winner, so but I think he's got a little
- 54:02bit of Polish that's needed to some of his Pocket skills that
- 54:07are going to take probably a year or two before we start
- 54:10seeing the potential that he may have.
- 54:13Yeah. Absolutely.
- 54:14Although you could see just in the last year tape that we
- 54:19looked at back last summer. And then this year, his
- 54:21polishing, his passing has already gotten a little bit more
- 54:24polished, which was very impressive.
- 54:26Especially in akko, the type year, we probably didn't get to
- 54:29go to many hands tied up that release.
- 54:33So the release looks a lot better.
- 54:35If they said, if he can work on his footwork a little bit more
- 54:39and just overall decision making and timing with the football.
- 54:43But you know when things need to happen he makes plays.
- 54:47So you like that ability in a player.
- 54:51He's got a helicopter for an arm that's case scenario for 2023.
- 54:57I'd like to see him as the number two, if he reaches his
- 55:02potential, he could, but he could be the backup in 2023,
- 55:05potentially being ready to take over the the keys to the
- 55:08kingdom, okay? See, I can see him with his
- 55:12build, I'd like to see him this orders 2023, our church
- 55:17sophomore, because a, if you're telling me now, That is the back
- 55:23up in 2023. Then we're going to get a Juco
- 55:25in 2022. It's time.
- 55:28Like I said, I don't know what his, what his progression is
- 55:31going to be like, but I think he would be a solid backup for us
- 55:37at that point. Hopefully, that all the pieces
- 55:40come together and he ends up putting it together for us.
- 55:42But I think more than likely the role in 2023 is going to be
- 55:46another two. Alright next, let's take a look
- 55:51at Jaden Keller, the six-foot-three 200 pounder out
- 55:54of Bristol, Tennessee. The guy that lives on the line
- 55:59restar, you know, offers from, you know, appstate, Tennessee
- 56:05report and offer South Carolina, reported offer and tell me where
- 56:11you see is 2021 the figuring out year.
- 56:14What he's going to be with that frame.
- 56:16They mean, is he white out as a corner or is it?
- 56:19Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Right now, is that I definitely
- 56:22going to be a redshirt situation, but I think it's
- 56:25going to be a, you know, get him in and try them at both sides of
- 56:29the ball and see where he's really fitting in.
- 56:32What, what skills? He's picking up from practice
- 56:34and things like that. Definitely has the potential to
- 56:37play on both sides. Just going to depend on number
- 56:41one. How's our roster makeup looking
- 56:45and how? What is his comfort level?
- 56:48How does he look on the field at both sides?
- 56:51And and go from there, so, You know, I'm kind of torn on where
- 56:58I'd like to see him. I think I'd prefer to see him at
- 57:01cornerback just because if he works there I feel like he could
- 57:05make a better impact quicker but we still haven't had an emerging
- 57:11wide receiver Beyond kind of are our first two guys yet so
- 57:15there's potential for him on the wide, receiver position as well.
- 57:19Absolutely. Again the one thing about the
- 57:23first two guys that came in and they're reporting the bodies or
- 57:26just read which to me, is a good sense to think.
- 57:33They come in and learn versus coming in and bulking up 2023.
- 57:38Best case scenario. I think you kind of just
- 57:39mentioned it. I'm assuming you're hoping he's
- 57:42probably a backup piece at whatever position he lands in.
- 57:45Yeah. And like I said, I think I would
- 57:47prefer that to be corner just because while we don't have
- 57:52standouts a wide receiver. I feel like we've got enough
- 57:55that they keep coming in that we can bring in at that position.
- 57:59Whereas Corners a little bit harder to always, sometimes get
- 58:02a fit So if he does end up fitting there, be nice to have
- 58:06him ready to roll. I best attribute.
- 58:12I mean just raw athleticism and kid can run kid to get can move.
- 58:18So I really like what he does I watch some tape where he's at
- 58:24the wide receiver position. So he moves good in and out of
- 58:26brakes, got some good athleticism.
- 58:28So hopefully we'll see some of that if he ends up on the
- 58:32offensive side of the ball. All right, let's roll onto
- 58:35another Tennessee, guy lies, you Howard the three-star, top 10
- 58:40player in the state of Tennessee.
- 58:42You know, also show any old offers from Tennessee from
- 58:46Louisville, Georgia Tech, Purdue Virginia, even had interest from
- 58:51Alabama, five, eleven hundred eighty-five pounds.
- 58:55Do you think he sticks it running back 2021 brown, or do
- 58:58you think he is going to be moving?
- 59:02That is the big question for him.
- 59:04I I could I could easily see him moving but it's still really too
- 59:11early to tell. We have such a log Jam at the
- 59:16running back position of guys that aren't what I would
- 59:21consider Elite level players. We've got a bunch of good guys
- 59:27that have. We got it.
- 59:27We got a few good guys that have some experience.
- 59:29We got a bunch of good guys that don't have a lot of experience
- 59:33but we don't have anybody that stands out in the same way that
- 59:36Khalil Herbert did coming into 2020.
- 59:40So there's potential there but there's also the thing where if
- 59:45you stick it running back, you might get lost in the mud of 10
- 59:48to 12 running backs. Where are they?
- 59:52So I think, I think there might be some opportunity for him to
- 59:57See what other positions are offering for him.
- 59:59I'm not exactly sure what that fit would be.
- 1:00:03Whether it be on the offensive or defensive side of the ball,
- 1:00:05but running back is going to be interesting to look at.
- 1:00:09But, you know, looking at the guys, they recruited him, I see,
- 1:00:12you know, Ryan Smith in there as well so there might be some
- 1:00:14potential at corner for him too. All right.
- 1:00:19Do you think his best bet back? 20.3 is dip finding the
- 1:00:23position. I think so, yeah, if he can find
- 1:00:27a position and get in a role where he can just get on the
- 1:00:30field, consistently on special teams and then, you know, look
- 1:00:37to be a key Reserve player for us by 2023.
- 1:00:41I think that's probably the top end for us in terms of
- 1:00:45projection right now. This attribute for him.
- 1:00:52You know, I would say that his ability to do some different
- 1:00:55things, I mean, he caught the ball some out of the backfield
- 1:00:57so we know he's got some hand skills with the football so
- 1:01:01there's potential there. That's why I say maybe wide
- 1:01:04receiver for him even though, you know, height isn't quite
- 1:01:07what you'd like necessarily at the wide receiver position and
- 1:01:12then, you know, potentially on the, in the secondary playing
- 1:01:14either cornerback or something like that.
- 1:01:16So there's opportunities there, but he's got some good ball
- 1:01:19skills. You know, outside of just
- 1:01:22handing the ball off to him so that there's potential there.
- 1:01:26Yeah. And I think we're in an era to
- 1:01:28Braun where the height on a wide receiver.
- 1:01:31Doesn't matter as much as it did 15, 20 years ago because there
- 1:01:35are so many guys playing out of slot.
- 1:01:38There's so many different variations of things you can
- 1:01:40going three wide and four wide. So if you tell me in a year or
- 1:01:44two years hey he is a good flight.
- 1:01:46We run jet sweeps with them. We occasional quite come out of
- 1:01:49the backfield. I On with it.
- 1:01:51I mean he was a pretty highly rated guy and kind of a when we
- 1:01:53got them just kind of one of those.
- 1:01:55Oh wow it's a good player. Yeah.
- 1:01:59All right I'm gonna move on Brian another RV.
- 1:02:02A kid out of Christchurch School.
- 1:02:04DJ Sims 63 190 pound wide receiver.
- 1:02:08We essentially flipped him out of Wake Forest along with Wake
- 1:02:12Forest. You know also had some offers
- 1:02:16you know from J mu Naval Academy Army into one reporting in North
- 1:02:23Carolina offer three star guy I'm going to assume it's from
- 1:02:28the conversations we had about him.
- 1:02:30He's a wide receiver, right? Yeah.
- 1:02:32He's gonna be a wide receiver 63 190 good ball skills, good at
- 1:02:37High Point in the ball so I can see him taking over.
- 1:02:42In terms of 2021, probably going to be definitely a red shirt
- 1:02:45guy. You might see him do some
- 1:02:48special teams in that four-game allowance there, but more than
- 1:02:53likely going to be a redshirt player for us in 21.
- 1:02:56But 23, I could see him being kind of a red zone Target in a
- 1:03:00in a second line at wideout. So there's some potential there,
- 1:03:04if he can catch things up and get where he needs to be in the
- 1:03:10next couple of years. I think you've already probably
- 1:03:13mentioned, the best attribute is that ability to have point the
- 1:03:16ball out. Yeah, big guy, good wingspan,
- 1:03:20good good size coming out of high school at 190.
- 1:03:23So I think he's going to end up being a Red Zone threat for us,
- 1:03:29kind of Imagine him more. I said it about With us at
- 1:03:35about, I can't remember what's many Wayfarers.
- 1:03:37I said about failures, probably going to take over a role that
- 1:03:39fairs, had a lot of blocking between the between the 20s and
- 1:03:44potential Red Zone thread. Once we get down down in the
- 1:03:47scoring area, oh, big thing for him is sure he didn't come in
- 1:03:51early but it 119 63 and we're going to the next thing I'm
- 1:03:54going to mention to go eat, go to lift, get some, get some meat
- 1:03:59on your bones because You're in division one college football
- 1:04:04and the next guy, but I mentioned is Christian moth, 63
- 1:04:07180 out of North Cobb, High School in Kennesaw Georgia 3
- 1:04:12star similar things with him. It's you saw with DJ or is it a
- 1:04:19little bit different with Christian Moss?
- 1:04:22Probably a little bit? I mean, in terms of expected
- 1:04:25playing time is going to be kind of similar.
- 1:04:26I think, in terms of 21 is very much going to be a red shirt,
- 1:04:31maybe a little Special team rolled start the year and as we
- 1:04:35go move into 23, I'd like to see him kind of move into a similar
- 1:04:41role. That changa Hodge had Forest
- 1:04:43this year. That's probably the upper end of
- 1:04:45his visibility 423 would be to get in that type of role.
- 1:04:50All right, any specific attributes you liked with him or
- 1:04:53is it still that that 63 at High Point the ball and stuff?
- 1:04:58I like his size. I think he could probably use a
- 1:05:01little bit more weight but he moves good for he's not.
- 1:05:04He's 63 kind of kind of Slender but he doesn't move like a like
- 1:05:09one of those like really, really slender wide receivers.
- 1:05:12He moves pretty good in and out of breaks and things like that.
- 1:05:14So I like that about him. I had Brian say, looks good
- 1:05:20moving, I just, I think about not locking anybody but
- 1:05:24sometimes there are taller people that when you see Them
- 1:05:27run or move? It does look awkward.
- 1:05:30Um I think you got running up on Pump Road.
- 1:05:33He's got to be 64 65, but he looks so weird running.
- 1:05:37Like Ya'll Must Be, why are you running here?
- 1:05:39Like 65 and you don't have any weight on.
- 1:05:41Probably you need to run. All right, not ever.
- 1:05:44Not everybody 63 plus looks like Randy Moss.
- 1:05:46Running. Randy Moss.
- 1:05:47Running is effortless. Exactly.
- 1:05:51Alright. Next I wanna hit up Brian.
- 1:05:53We're going to give him some of the guys that we talked about
- 1:05:55over the summer. First is, Will Johnson.
- 1:06:01The three-star at a Leonardtown and Leonardtown Maryland rated
- 1:06:07in the safety but I can remember you distinctly saying.
- 1:06:11He could be nickel. He could be might he could be a
- 1:06:13backer because of the way his frame is built.
- 1:06:17But we going to 2021 is just going to be go to the dining
- 1:06:22Halls, get the prime rib, and just, I mean, he's coming in at
- 1:06:2862, 220. So It's all like right out the
- 1:06:32gate. He's already kind of Fringe
- 1:06:33between backyard Rover. Yeah.
- 1:06:37So depending on what his frame needs is probably going to
- 1:06:42depend on if he ends up staying at the safety position or if he
- 1:06:46ends up being a linebacker for us, you know, you can see in
- 1:06:50potentially probably a backer in terms of a 23 Outlook.
- 1:06:57I see him potentially sliding the back or just because He's
- 1:07:01already got the size. If he puts on any weight at all,
- 1:07:04he's going to be probably too big to play that Rover position.
- 1:07:09He's gonna he's gonna be in that looking Rudolph situation where
- 1:07:13he just didn't quite there. Like a well he put so much more
- 1:07:17weight and Backer. I mean if he goes up getting
- 1:07:21into 40 to 50 I mean he might have to essentially look at my
- 1:07:26core. You got any been to a may be
- 1:07:28looking at defensive end or maybe I don't know, I can see
- 1:07:33him getting the 235. No problem.
- 1:07:35Much more north of there is going to be how much they end up
- 1:07:39working in, whether they actually do have a need at the
- 1:07:42position where they want to put that much weight on him.
- 1:07:45But getting to, you know, to 30 to 35, is doable.
- 1:07:48That's definitely in that, that backer role, especially if he
- 1:07:51keeps some of that speed that he has already from playing the
- 1:07:54safety position. What's your when you look at the
- 1:08:00attribute, you know, I think safety.
- 1:08:03I mean, is it how he filled that, how he covers, which is
- 1:08:06that he is a thumper He likes to hit.
- 1:08:14Which is a bodes. Well, for, if he does end up
- 1:08:16switching positions, a linebacker.
- 1:08:18So, he's not afraid to take on guys in the whole, he's not
- 1:08:21afraid to come up and make some plays.
- 1:08:22So easy either be ready for that type of move.
- 1:08:26From a physicality perspective, even if he's not there from a
- 1:08:29terminology and understanding the concepts of the physician
- 1:08:32perspective, absolutely. Alright.
- 1:08:37Next gal of flip to is more running backs.
- 1:08:40I think we how I think the running backs might be able to
- 1:08:44field multiple rec league basketball teams in.
- 1:08:50Nobody leaves multiple multiple with benches Malachi Thomas, had
- 1:08:55a heart County down in Georgia restar guy held offers from
- 1:09:00Cincinnati. Also from Kansas State and
- 1:09:03Memphis and UCF. You know, I just, I mean he
- 1:09:10proved red shirt is that? Yeah, I mean he's definitely
- 1:09:14gonna get a red shirt for 21. There's no doubt about it, just
- 1:09:17between the size of the class, the size of get, the
- 1:09:22preparedness that some other guys in this class are coming in
- 1:09:25with, I really like Malachi Thomas, don't get me wrong.
- 1:09:30I think. He long term in terms of, let's
- 1:09:33look at 23, he's going to be the perfect type of compliment back
- 1:09:37to a guy. I can G Christian to be kind of
- 1:09:40a one-two punch. All right, so I like them from
- 1:09:42that perspective but in terms of immediate impact, you know,
- 1:09:47kenji's got em licked on that. And we've got so many other guys
- 1:09:50that from like, Marco Lee and other guys that came in last
- 1:09:53year. And, you know, Holston and King
- 1:09:56that have been on the roster for a couple years.
- 1:09:58I just don't see you making an immediate impact for us.
- 1:10:02The more and more, we talk about the running backs has the more
- 1:10:04and more, I feel like in down the road.
- 1:10:08By 2023 the guys on the team because there are so many guys
- 1:10:15so Adam like Timber, you're running backs coach.
- 1:10:18Let's not get so many running back, so many move probably the
- 1:10:24thought process of the person that's been doing the recruiting
- 1:10:27as well. Just get a bunch of them will
- 1:10:28figure out two or three that are really good.
- 1:10:32Well, the problem that with, with the way we set out on our
- 1:10:34were getting on a tangent here. But, but but the problem with
- 1:10:39what we've been doing is that we have We've been thin at a
- 1:10:43position. So we've stacked it in a
- 1:10:45recruiting cycle and because we stacked one position in this
- 1:10:49recruiting cycle. We got further behind it,
- 1:10:51another recruiting cycle between the transfer here and injury
- 1:10:54there. And now, you're having a stack
- 1:10:56of that position. And you're constantly playing
- 1:10:58catch-up instead of actually building your roster and
- 1:11:01balancing your roster. And then that's when you have to
- 1:11:05turn in the transfer portal to kind of plug here and there to
- 1:11:09make sure that you've got enough Frontline guys and up depth to
- 1:11:13not be in a situation that is very problematic.
- 1:11:16So we're in that situation running back now.
- 1:11:22We're in that situation running back.
- 1:11:24I mean we panicked after 2019 because we didn't think we had
- 1:11:27anybody. We brought in a bunch of guys.
- 1:11:30Last cycle, we had already got far so far in the process.
- 1:11:34We've got is this cycle that we wanted to get them in as well
- 1:11:36and now we've got you know a running back room that's 12 deep
- 1:11:40and you can really only play about four of them consistently
- 1:11:45True. But Pro the new recruiting guys.
- 1:11:51See that and don't go crazy. Now one guy I went on montaigne
- 1:11:56beforehand because I can remember you mentioning chance
- 1:11:58black is having a chance to be that slot guy.
- 1:12:02Even though he hasn't been back three star out of doorman down
- 1:12:07South Carolina, you will you see him catching the ball so much?
- 1:12:12And it's just like I know you probably don't have Asking 2021,
- 1:12:15but I feel like he's one of the could stick because he can do
- 1:12:18everything. Yeah.
- 1:12:20I mean, right now, as the Goethe kind of is like a even slightly
- 1:12:24more under the radar version of what Blackshear was coming out
- 1:12:27of high school. I'm just looking back at some of
- 1:12:30last year's tape. So similar type skills, set.
- 1:12:33Probably not quite as Elite at any of those given attributes as
- 1:12:39Blackshear is at his best, but at the same time, he possesses
- 1:12:43all of those. Rates.
- 1:12:44So if they, if he can grow into those a little bit more, I see
- 1:12:48him being a getting on the field in 2023 because of just that
- 1:12:53skill set, and being kind of that Gadget type player that can
- 1:12:56do a lot of different things for you.
- 1:12:58Especially for offense figures out, how to use that type of
- 1:13:01player between now and then. Very true.
- 1:13:04Don't hold your breath. Yeah.
- 1:13:08I mean I just I feel like he's the one that could stick if you
- 1:13:11told me of three guys we've got I feel like candies built and I
- 1:13:19don't know if he can jump and get with Jalen and get with
- 1:13:21Marco and get with Keyshawn this year.
- 1:13:24I feel like Kenji by next year. It's going to be your spell
- 1:13:28back. He can't needs to work on
- 1:13:33everything, non running back and he comes in in the fall.
- 1:13:37If the slot I want to catch the ball, I want to do jet sweeps
- 1:13:40on, do all this stuff. That's my opinion on him.
- 1:13:43Now, the next guy, this guy in my opinion as a fall season here
- 1:13:50in Virginia, and he might play in the spring.
- 1:13:53I don't know what they're doing up at Sharon on high school and
- 1:13:56Stephen City. Call I lost them sir. 64 200
- 1:14:00pounds. He's a freak seeing some of his
- 1:14:05videos and things that here doing in their gums.
- 1:14:08Unbelievable price. I think you're going to tell me
- 1:14:1120:21. He has no chance to play but if
- 1:14:15they figure out what they want to do with them, which now I
- 1:14:18think it's going to be defensive end, you're starting to load up
- 1:14:21at linebacker. Don't do what you did to
- 1:14:23yourself. It's running back room.
- 1:14:27Get them in there. Put the weight on it into the
- 1:14:29225 230. I'm not saying bar, no.
- 1:14:35But what do you think Ron? I mean if we're looking at a kid
- 1:14:41that is as close to a bar, no clone coming out of high school
- 1:14:46would probably be this kid so I've no no issue with that
- 1:14:51comparison. Kinda more under the radar
- 1:14:55recruit initially and then probably would have been closer
- 1:15:00to that, you know, 8687 rating on 24/7 versus the 84.
- 1:15:06He's got now. So if you'd had a good season
- 1:15:10for for 2020 but at this point he didn't get that and I think
- 1:15:19that's probably going to hurt him.
- 1:15:20Number one in terms of what his rating is obviously.
- 1:15:22But also number two, in terms of what he's able to do, out the
- 1:15:26gate for us. I'd like the idea of getting him
- 1:15:30in on the defensive line, trying to get some weight on him and
- 1:15:33getting him at the defensive end position because I feel like
- 1:15:37that's where he's gonna be able to make the most impact,
- 1:15:39especially with the other guys that were bringing on this year
- 1:15:42in the other guys that we got on the roster.
- 1:15:46So yeah, that's what I think here.
- 1:15:48LOL. Awesome.
- 1:15:49Defensive in 2023, 2023. And I think we've already hit
- 1:15:54it. Freak athleticism.
- 1:15:56Yeah. Is that bad?
- 1:15:57You didn't one of those guys that if nothing else about
- 1:16:0320-23, third down. Can your ears?
- 1:16:07Back and go kill the guy with the football.
- 1:16:10Nothing more, nothing left. Now, the next you feel at least
- 1:16:14have a role like bar. No.
- 1:16:15Had the first Three or four weeks of the Season where he was
- 1:16:18pretty much a he was out there to spell when you had to, but he
- 1:16:22was mostly there to make impacts on third down and long when he
- 1:16:26could just pin his ears back and kill the quarterback.
- 1:16:30I'm just a couple more guys to go here, open the scalf late but
- 1:16:35when I look at the size he's coming from the state of Florida
- 1:16:39Desmond, my Moody, how to Carrollwood Day, High School in
- 1:16:44Tampa, Florida 63 E to 90. I'm an N.
- 1:16:49If he's 10 pounds worth of doesn't shock me, but at 280
- 1:16:52coming in, you know, he's bigger and at least three guys on the
- 1:16:57roster right now is defensive tackle, I don't know what his
- 1:17:00tape looks like, but what do you think for 2021, Brian?
- 1:17:04Just 2021 he still going to be a guy that you're going to
- 1:17:08Redshirt. Try to get a little bit more
- 1:17:10weight. Probably maybe refine the weight
- 1:17:13that he does have not a bad body but also not the greatest body
- 1:17:18in terms of what you like to see from an athletic standpoint.
- 1:17:23But with that being said, he's tape does look pretty good.
- 1:17:28He can do some good things with his hands so I like the way his
- 1:17:31hands are. For it for a kid coming out of
- 1:17:35high school again, just like to see some of that motor and some
- 1:17:38of that body. Get it trimmed up a little bit,
- 1:17:40while putting on a little bit of weight as well.
- 1:17:42So if you can get up to like 295 but, you know, clean up a little
- 1:17:49bit here, a little bit there, little nip little tuck.
- 1:17:52Yeah, I think, I think he'd be good to go by 2023 to be kind of
- 1:17:55a, at least a rotational guy. If not a second line, guy, got
- 1:18:00it, I think you already mentioned probably best
- 1:18:02attributes hands. Which why when you say that I
- 1:18:07kind of get intrigued because you played offensive line.
- 1:18:11Did it ever skew? You not scare you.
- 1:18:13But when you were playing someone, maybe your size and
- 1:18:17high school. But when you look the other Pan
- 1:18:21fighting like crazy versus man, I don't care about the 300-pound
- 1:18:24guy. He just tries to push me.
- 1:18:25I take care of him. This guy doing things.
- 1:18:29Is that what you're saying? Like, he understands up here, I
- 1:18:32can't force my My way through this guy but I can.
- 1:18:36I think the big thing is that a lot of guys that are big like
- 1:18:39that just lean on you. Okay, with you at the high
- 1:18:43school level, you can get away with it that size but at college
- 1:18:47and cannot so if I see guys that are big that can already do a
- 1:18:53good job of bringing their hands and keeping the offensive lines
- 1:18:56lyman's hands away from them because the less you let a an
- 1:19:02offensive lineman get their hands on your pads the the more
- 1:19:05you can do. So if you're if you're good with
- 1:19:08the hands, then you're going to have more success.
- 1:19:11You'll be able to shed blockers faster.
- 1:19:13You'll be able to see in the back view, where the ball is
- 1:19:15going better. There's so many things you can
- 1:19:18do when you're not just firing off and leaning on a guy.
- 1:19:22Nice. All right, go ahead.
- 1:19:24Our last two guys. Up, very local guys, to the
- 1:19:27blackburg area start with Jordan McDonald.
- 1:19:30Six-foot-four out of Salem High School and Salem Virginia. 217
- 1:19:36pounds. 3 star was committed to you.
- 1:19:38LM flip is late when we offered in.
- 1:19:44I don't think he can stick it Corner canning and I'm guessing
- 1:19:472021 2022 2023, although me development years for him.
- 1:19:52Yeah, I mean, I think both of these guys if we're talking
- 1:19:55about Jordan and his brother Jaden that we both got out of
- 1:19:59the Salem, High School in game 6, 3 to 18.
- 1:20:04So yeah. More or less the same, the same
- 1:20:07player here. In terms of build, I think both
- 1:20:12of them are going to be safeties.
- 1:20:16Okay I like that. Yeah I can see both of them
- 1:20:18playing safety. They'll probably end up adding
- 1:20:21about five or ten pounds. They'll be somewhere between 220
- 1:20:25225 playing at 63 and 64 21 out. The gate is really just going to
- 1:20:32be evaluating these guys and see if they can be where they need
- 1:20:38to be on the field in terms of picking up the defense has and
- 1:20:42learning the safety position. Like I said, I don't think
- 1:20:46they're going to be Corners. They don't have bad footwork as
- 1:20:51a cornerback. So I think they could do okay in
- 1:20:54the man coverage responsibilities that are
- 1:20:56safeties, have okay, but they're not guys that are going to be
- 1:21:00able to line up against the number one or number two.
- 1:21:03Receiver in the CC for a given ACC team and be competitive.
- 1:21:08So, safety is going to be the way to go but I like they're
- 1:21:12taped, like I said, they move pretty good for their size.
- 1:21:15You don't see a lot of 64 almost 220 cornerbacks running with
- 1:21:21pretty good high school talent so that's impressive to see.
- 1:21:25Like I said, it's going to just be An uphill battle to get them
- 1:21:30acclimated to a new position and seeing if that athleticism
- 1:21:34translates to that position. Yeah, I mean, you mentioned
- 1:21:42about what we're trying to run and if we were strictly running
- 1:21:44like a Zone covered three or cover for consistently all the
- 1:21:48time, they might have a chance to stick it safely.
- 1:21:52But as you can see, the way it's looking, we're going to run
- 1:21:54things on, but we're going to run some main.
- 1:21:56We're going to run, man, free. We're going to run single highs.
- 1:22:00They can't when you get into that man, situation.
- 1:22:03You're talking about again. So, you know, essentially number
- 1:22:05ones in the ACC that happened down.
- 1:22:10If we went to a cover three system and they got to be elite.
- 1:22:13Oh God, they are perfect specimens for that but that's
- 1:22:18rarely done at the high school level or excuse me, the
- 1:22:21Collegiate level because you can't find enough talent to do
- 1:22:25all the parts perfectly. And he'll it's tough to do in
- 1:22:30the NFL legion of boom. Did that shit for a few years
- 1:22:33and it's crazy. We had a significant amount of
- 1:22:36talents and friend and we couldn't do it.
- 1:22:39We started moving to cover fours and going down.
- 1:22:42When you can occasionally find us on the ground running, our
- 1:22:46can cover one single high safety that literally lost a fucking
- 1:22:49Super Bowl, should have been hold that.
- 1:22:55By the way, Braun, that's going to wrap all the guys.
- 1:22:57Are you made your pick? Tom.
- 1:23:00Brady can't win. I don't know, man.
- 1:23:07That guy's got like Jesus blood or something and um, you know, I
- 1:23:11Think Jesus blood, I'd I think Tom Brady should be considered
- 1:23:14a, it's going to be considered a three-strike guy.
- 1:23:18By the end of his career I'm gonna go 40 year old, should
- 1:23:22still have that much arm strength, note 43 years, people
- 1:23:27have been when he does all this great shape for his body.
- 1:23:30I'm sorry. No one followed time wounds.
- 1:23:34All right? Yep.
- 1:23:36No one level playing the way he does.
- 1:23:38I don't care if you do everything, perfect, naturally
- 1:23:43naturally. Say it slowly naturally.
- 1:23:49Things should start bleep crying.
- 1:23:51Yeah they exactly. Let's talk about the only other
- 1:23:54guys. It's really the same ballpark
- 1:23:56and that's Vinny Testaverde. Many Testaverde also played half
- 1:23:59the number of snaps at Tom Brady's played in his career.
- 1:24:01By the time he got to that age. Will a test already.
- 1:24:05Had a bigger rocket than pound out the gate?
- 1:24:09Yeah, I'll give you a bit of Rocket.
- 1:24:11Oh, look at the video the other day.
- 1:24:13Testaverde in, 2002 will still grow on the ball. 70 yard.
- 1:24:17He had been leaked, 16 years, Testaverde had a cannon.
- 1:24:22Oh you're wrong. Tom had a very very strong arm.
- 1:24:26But not to that level, not too far as level, not to Warren
- 1:24:30moons level. And people can say, well you
- 1:24:34just hate him because he wins? No, not just don't I do hate him
- 1:24:39because he wins with. That's not the only reason.
- 1:24:43Why do you hate Tom? Brady to me, it's always been
- 1:24:45too many things around everything he's done.
- 1:24:51Because when everything came out that first Super Bowl, man, it
- 1:24:56immediately made me say, if they don't do that shit, they get
- 1:24:59their doors blown off by the greatest show on Turf their
- 1:25:02doors. One off and nothing ever comes
- 1:25:05of anything of it. The flavor football, I get over
- 1:25:09carefully after Spygate well, the whole would have a couple
- 1:25:12years ago Ron. But then they get busted again
- 1:25:19taking things. Yeah.
- 1:25:20So but so you know what? I'm going to say I think Tampa
- 1:25:25Bay is going to win. I think we're going to have a
- 1:25:27few Hokies getting Rings along the time, right?
- 1:25:31Well that makes me both happy and sad at the same time.
- 1:25:36What can we do? What can we do?
- 1:25:38I mean this point he already has more Super Bowls than anybody
- 1:25:41that I care about. So I don't think adding one more
- 1:25:43is really going to change that conversation.
- 1:25:46Is that he's going to get his his head rep, because spagnolo
- 1:25:51knows exactly what to do to beat him.
- 1:25:55He is, you know, the neighbor said that this week's dragged
- 1:26:01over because Lex Luthor, you don't know how to beat him.
- 1:26:04Every time he everybody's making the joke that whoever said that,
- 1:26:09you know, Eli is going to go undercover to screw this whole
- 1:26:12thing up. As I was like, Nas, they already
- 1:26:14got the, he already got that. Tonight on the other sideline
- 1:26:19and Kryptonite has some good weapons with Frank Clark and
- 1:26:21Chris Jones. Yep.
- 1:26:25But I'll still say brady because I'm hoping Bruce and Cody get
- 1:26:28some rings and bruised four tires and comes and becomes an
- 1:26:32offensive consultant for the Hokies.
- 1:26:35That's a great idea, right out of your idea.
- 1:26:38Yeah. Thing broken, since we've jumped
- 1:26:41on here, not that I'm lawyer open.
- 1:26:45Your Lakers are down five with three minutes in the third
- 1:26:48quarter. So you've got a good 40 minutes
- 1:26:50to stay up, and if that's it, that's going to wrap up this
- 1:26:55episode of The Boundary Corner podcast a Wilson.
