- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hello, everybody.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Hello.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: This is this is a big one.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: This is a really big one.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: I, you know, in putting together our rundown for everything genuinely,
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think this might be the most fascinating, interesting, exciting, and whatever, either some probability you want to put in here, game in a real long time.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like this, there's so many good storylines.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: All of this, all of these things.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_01]: Evenly matched it feels like, yeah, there's a lot of, there's a lot of things and not just in terms of the matchup itself, but in terms of, you know, USC is dealing with some injuries right now.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, Rame is dealing with some injuries right now.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, both of these teams have had some big losses in the last couple of weeks and both will have to find a way to overcome those, you know, both of them have
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: Question marks around their legitimacy, both of them are looking at this game as potentially a, you know, is this a game who the winner comes out alive in the playoff hunt and the loser is more or less dead and dead in the water.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a lot behind this game.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot behind this game.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's also a place where USC is not one since 2011, 14 years since SC beat Notre Dame in South Bend.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Great game that was in 2011.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Drawings of Starling picking up
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: a fumble from your former classmate, Dane Christ, and running 90 something yards to return it to the house and completely changed the game for the Trojans and S.C.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: sort of went on from there and won in 2011 and didn't know how to raise it that that was the last time USC won.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's a long time ago.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's a really long time ago.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: 2009 was the, the quasi-game where,
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: They came down and drove down in the final minute and ended up there's like a gold line stand that S.C.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: wins 2007 the ass king 28 nothing probably the worst Notre Dame team of our lives and S.E.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: made them look real bad and then at least it 2005 a classic one for the ages
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: Dare I say, it is the 20th anniversary.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: Today, literally, today, the 20th anniversary of the, maybe one of the greatest games in college with ball history, the 2005 USC Notre Dame game, a true classic, two giants, and Charlie Weiss against Pete Carroll, Brady Quinn against Matt Linertz,
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Wayne Jarrett against the grass it was an epic game in 2005 and so since it's the fit today is literally the 20th anniversary it's October 15th 2005 we're gonna look back and relive the 2005 game
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: by watching one of our favorite things in the world, Trojan Rewind.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna relive the last drive on Trojan Rewind.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: Big shout out on YouTube to NHBI 007 who has like all the Trojan Rewinds on my 2007 and 2006 uploading YouTube.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'll put it at 17 years ago.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and it's been a long time.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: The whole time.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we're gonna press play right now.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: and let's watch this magic.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Really good luck with this yelling quarterback draw there, like, yeah.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: How worried are you at this point?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm shouldn't bricks if I remember correctly.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: How old would we have been this year late?
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Sixteenths?
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: I was losing my mind, I was having a panic attack.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was at our good friends house watching the game.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: The father is a Notre Dame fan, the mother is a USC grad, and it was
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: This Saturday.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that was when it was over.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was, I'm literally pacing in my hearing sounds like biting my fingernails.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was over.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Third and twenty.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Remember Pat Hayden saying you don't got to get all at once here?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted more though.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: I wondered why I didn't want it to be fourth and nine.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, fourth and anything.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like, here's, here's our biggest call ever, I think.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: Enjoy this.
- 6:18[UNKNOWN]: to keep this thing going.
- 6:21[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:22[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: It seems impossible.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: It seems impossible.
- 6:24[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:25[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:26[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:26[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:27[UNKNOWN]: It seems impossible.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_04]: It seems impossible.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_04]: it's caught by Jared the 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, tackle from behind at the 15, maybe the 13-yard line.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I am running through the hatch, running through the hatch.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: I was behind the couch, so like the couch was in the middle of the family room, and I was like behind the couch, just like jumping up and down, like with my hands up on the couch, like freaking out.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't a credible play here.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: Rolls left.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: And we all think they're, he died.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think the game was over here.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think the game was over here.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was no way it was over.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, but I thought it was over in the sense of like, a lot of times when stuff like this happens, like they can't, like, this was before replay review was like a thing.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: This was before they could go and make these things right.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like if the rest had ruled that he was in bounds or something like that,
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: a million different things it would end at the game.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: See by now though we knew that it wasn't the end of the game and then these fans just look stupid there.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: But the ball at the one yard line whether or not to kick a field over there.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure you spank it and said it.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't sure it was spanked.
- 8:10[UNKNOWN]: All right seven seconds on the clock.
- 8:16[UNKNOWN]: And later we'll probably have to
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: The fake spikes here by Sark.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, the Carol and and his son Brendan should have been the given way that it wasn't going to be a spike right?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but also so obvious.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: Like you wouldn't be doing that if it was actually a spike right?
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this shot of the band is so good.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: I said he spikes his head.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_04]: That girl I didn't really think.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: The ride climbs her set.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: Linear sneaks toward the goal line.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_04]: He's in the end zone.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_04]: Touchdown!
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: You are safe!
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: Wait three seconds to go.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_04]: The truck is in score.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_04]: But three seconds left.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: He did not spike it.
- 9:07[UNKNOWN]: He went into the end zone.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: Van Liner in a score.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: Incredible.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, right here, right here, right here, right here.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: He's in drive, two drives in a row, absolutely incredible.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_04]: The Irish are crushed.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_04]: Charlie, why is it cannot believe it?
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: Matt Reiner, that remarked there from Tom McDonnell is so good.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: Two drives in a row.
- 9:33[UNKNOWN]: One of the greatest drives in the history of Trojan football.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: This at this stage was, uh, I had already sprained my ankle, um, jumping around the middle of the room with my brother, like holding onto each other, just like jumping in circles and like at one point I just went down weird on my ankle.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was living for the rest of the day.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: It was I was like it was one of those like moments where you're like your skin is on fire and like you can't like you're shaking you just have like adrenaline just flowing through your vein and like it's like an hour or two later and where I don't remember why we were at we went to my other one of my best friends going up but we went to their house that evening for it must have been somebody's a party for something
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember still like having that like vibration and like that adrenaline vibration going on and it was like it's been hours like this should have stopped already.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, probably the first time I ever experienced like that level of of just sports X to see I've always in this three moments in my life where like a sports moment has been so.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Shocking like not like totally shocking but like like so invigorating and it's 4th and 9 it's when Alec partina scores in game 7 against the Hawks in 2014 and it's aromas Ramirez walk off home against the brewers in 2007
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: all of those things were literally like run through the house, screaming, don't know where to go, so I'm just running randomly like those kind of moments like it sticks with you like it does like you do have like a like a vibration in you or whatever like there's I don't I don't know like it's
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: it's just it's magical and like yeah for me the the closest that I've come to that was when Liverpool came back again sparsalona
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: and just that yeah it was literally the same thing I'm surprised I didn't spray an ankle bed because I was literally I launched into the arms of some random guy at the pub and we just like jumped around with each other it was just like you know it was just one of those moments that was incredible um you don't get too many of those I mean we get a lot of moments in sports we get so many fun moments but you don't actually get that many of the
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: those kinds of this is unbelievable.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is fantastic.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is magical kind of moments.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny, Kenny in the chat talks about the walk on the walkoff field goal.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: That was a weird experience for the two of us, because we were on the sideline.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: We were media.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so that whole game I had been trying to just like suppress any outward emotion.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: And we were what it was when
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: when Deante caught the pass over the middle, we were at that side of the field.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: We were at, in that, like, you just, like, either of us, like, react, because, you know, we're, we're, we're media, that's supposed to react to any of those things.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: But you put your hand on my shoulder and I think you squeeze my shoulders.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: I just grabbed your shoulder and was just like, you're like that, like, I was like, I had to just be like,
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if we were media there, that probably would have been those moments where we would have just grabbed each other and like jumped around or whatever, and the only thing I could do, which is like grab your shoulder and just like, like, you know, like that, and yeah, the walk off field goal, though, in that game was not one of those moments because then you're, you go into me a mode and we, you know, the game ends, you just get out onto the field and get as much like video and photos as you can.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: that was wild because like we were literally on the field, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: We were on the field and I remember we were calling trainees because we needed somebody to update the game article because we did put the messy law.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: We had put that we were ready to have you as you.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: We couldn't get a signal down there.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was just a mess.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go to the chat says I was five.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: Um, didn't know everyone yelled around me in the living room and started jumping up and down.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, totally, totally, you know, relatable.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Geller music is actually the louder smoter of my life was in the Calvary Pick 6 and Andrew Luck.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: I, that was close.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: I will take it to my grave.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's the loudest moment at the Coliseum.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: I, the game is the Cal game in 2004, but the loudest moment is in the Calvary Pick 6.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: I was at my grandmother's house watching that game in the den, and I was, no, but I was alone.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I was just there with my grandmother.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: It was in the kitchen watching probably some soap opera on the TV, and I was jumping up and down on her, on the couch, like on that raggedy old couch.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: It was, it's a great call from Musperker, too.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: The youngster from Florida, and the girl roaming.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Great moment.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, at least you talked about your ankle.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, which you said is a segue.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: You're talking about, uh, S.E.s injury issues going up, um, to South Bend, uh, what's, what's going on with us?
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so, uh, nice segue with the ankle, so we'll start with the ankle, um, women Jordan suffered an ankle injury and is going to miss four to six weeks after undergoing tight rope surgery, which apparently is a thing I learned.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, tight rope surgery is a procedure that's used to stabilize the ankle after an injury.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: So it's basically like,
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like the old body putting pins in between two bones to sort of strengthen the tendons there, whatever it's that they do with like flexible material now, so it's a much faster recovery time.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's just often used if you have like a high angle spring or something like that.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: So that surgery will keep him out four to six weeks.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: The optimistic side of that is obviously he can come back in a month.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: If you remember to a talk of Aloha with Alabama played in the national title game that was 28 days after having Tyrum surgery.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: So there is a there is a possibility that USC gets women Jordan back before the end of the season.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: I guess then the question becomes how quickly do they push him?
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: and how relevant is USC season by that point.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think if USC's in the big 10 title game, I think you can start targeting women Jordan to be back in time for that.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: If USC's not in the big 10 title game,
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: do you just call it a season and, you know, and let him heal up and maybe get him back for the for the bowl game.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's sort of that bigger of a question.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, Eli Sanders will not be back.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: He suffered a season ending knee injury with presuming ACL.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: He is out for the rest of the season and I believe that ends his college career, which majorly sucks.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have any eligibility left And he's too late for him to take a medical register.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I want to say in his past.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have a season where he could apply the medical register either.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: So that's pretty
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: that's pretty sulky, but on the plus side, you know, USC was down to just King Miller and no other scholarship run, no literally no scholarship running back available coming into the second half against Michigan.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously Brian Jackson suited up ahead of schedule and USC has actually been fined $5,000 for having a player who was on the inventory report listed as out
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: worth it, I guess.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: He apparently made it through the game without any problems, so he should be available and then also the freshman running backs Harry Dalton and Riley Wormley Lincoln Riley has said are expected to be available this week coming back from injury as well.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: So there is some depth behind King Miller this time.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: that depth, I feel is still a little bit tenuous in that Brian Jackson is still returning from a relatively long-term injury, Harry Dalton and Riley Wormley, the same, they haven't had a bunch of practice time coming into this game, so I expect King Miller to be the Belkow back in this one, but you obviously
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: still have to see what happens with that.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then I have still not seen anywhere on Elijah page in terms of his availability.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: So that is something to watch.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know of any other notable injuries that USC has coming in, but USC doesn't really talk about injuries, so we wouldn't know anyways.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Notre Dame puts out a depth chart, um, which is refreshing in this day and age to put out depth chart.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, they're a little more forthcoming on injury stuff.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: We know that starting center action Craig out for the season, both the Trojan and the Irish will have their starting centers.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: from the beginning of the season, out for the season.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Back up Windercever, Michael Gilbert is out with the hand injury for the Irish, along with offensive linemen, Charles Jagroch with an arm injury and Peter Jones out with an ankle injury.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: Questionable is Devante Smith, at Corner.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a calf thing.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: Starting with Windercever Jaden, great house.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: Questionable with the thier injury.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: He missed the NC State game.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: Entered the season is probably the guy that everyone expected to be their number one or I receiver.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's not been that productive, but he's also had this thigh injury, too.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: Titan and Cooper Flanagan has an Achilles, he's questionable, and Will Black has a concussion as well.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's just get into it.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: S.C.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: 430 PM.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: WNBC, prime time game, U.S.C.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame, the big rivalry.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: The IRS foreign to under Marcus Freeman this season.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's his fourth year.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's 37 and 12 so far in South Bend.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: When last we spoke, U.S.C.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: lost to Notre Dame at 49.35 at the Coliseum.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: A year ago, a game in which S.C.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: was down 35.28.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: late in the fourth quarter, driving to try to tie it, and then back to back pick sixes in the red zone from Jade Mayava and it up being all she wrote, actually did score a consolation score there at the end.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: But, um,
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that S.C.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: fought hard, but did not get the win in the only game all last year, which S.C.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: did not have a lead in the fourth quarter, but another day, of course, the national runner-up that go losing to Ohio State in the national championship game.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: The Irish number 13 in the AP, number 15 in the coaches poll, but at least you have the metrics
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: Number two in the country, this is a team that has really good losses.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: Their resume in terms of quality losses, you cannot get any better.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: They lost the number two Miami and number four, Texas A&M.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I argued at the time for Notre Dame to stay ranked, and this is exactly why because I figured that Notre Dame would do what they've done for the rest of the season, which is those losses would get better and better each week, and that they would keep winning each week the rest of the way.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that Notre Dame their mission at this point is to get to ten and two.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: with those two losses still looking very good, and they probably will continue to look very good.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then be in a position where they can show that they have some quality wins, like beating USC, or, well, I don't know, they don't really have any other quality, they beat Arkansas.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's beating Arkansas, but they beat Arkansas the best on the road.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: So they are in desperate need of some quality wins, and at this point USC is their best chance for the rest of the season.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: So they have a lot to lose in this game.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've seen a lot of people say that this is a playoff eliminated for the Irish.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: And like on one hand, I don't think a nine and three Notre Dame team is out of the playoff.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I think they are considering that their schedule doesn't allow them to have any sort of win.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they would have three quality losses if SC beats them.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: but no quality win at some point you need a quality win there.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_02]: But let's talk about the Notre Dame offense.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: This is an offense that is pretty damn good.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Six in FBI offense led by RetroFreshman quarterback CJ Carr is completing 66 and a half percent of his passes, 1600 yards, 13 touchdowns, Dr. only three picks, passer rating of a buck 76.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's an improvement.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: from last year when they had Rayleigh Leonard in terms of passing he's not the runner he's not the the
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: slippery, you know, Guy on his feet like Riley Leonard was in the same way, but he's a more efficient passer.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: His passer rating is 176 and Riley Leonard's last year was at 139.6.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's averaging three more yards per a tenth than Leonard did last year, so there's a little bit more balanced.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: in terms of offense and how they're able to be a little bit more vertical throw the ball a little bit more.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: And this is a wide receiver, right receiving core, that is pretty damn good.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Number three in PFF, behind of course SC and Ohio State 1 and 2, according to PFF.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: uh... why receiving cord led by Jordan phazon uh... malachi field transfer from virginia will falling transfer from Wisconsin we saw him last year at the colosseum uh... and then jane great house who we talked about earlier kind of expected to be the number one guy and he's kind of been like fourth or fifth in the pecking order so far this year uh... ili reardon is the tight end he's got twenty catches three hundred forty two yards expect him to play a factory because of course another day has a very good capable
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, in the run game, uh, this is Jeremiah Love and, uh, Gidarian Price, uh, a very strong backfield.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Love, uh, averaging 5.3 yards per carry price at 6.7.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: Love also a very capable,
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: guy out of the backfield to catch passes, 14 catches, 3 receiving touchdowns for the Irish this year.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: We know what he can do.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: We saw him last year, he absolutely sliced and diced the charging at the call, see him.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: Going to the season, I thought he was like my heisman pick.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: So like we know how good and capable he is.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: when I don't want to overlook the run game.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: But more so, like I think the biggest talking point here is how the receivers from Notre Dame match up against the corners because that is USC's biggest weakness.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: It is a horrific matchup between Notre Dame's or severs and S.C.s corner to talk about them being number three and PFF the receivers.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: They were number 10 in PFF coming into the season.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: SC was unranked, which is a little weird.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, they added the big transfers.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: But, SC's corners have just been downranked terrible this season.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: The Carlos Nicholson grazed out of the month as the best among the corners at 64 points, that 67.4 from PFF.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: But, you would rank fifth among USC corners a year ago.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's how much of a step back the corners have really taken.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: Marcellus Williams has been targeted 22 times this season, and is yet to personally contribute to an completion.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Passes have been completed, thrown his way, but he is not touchable, not forced, and in completion anything through 22 passes.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: That is worrisome, there.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: We know that Prophet Brown and Alex Graham have been entered to have a play, Jason Johnson as he's seen in the injury, and DJ Harvey and Braylan Conley have essentially been benched.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: So this is a...
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: I cornered group that looks absolutely terrifying to put them up against a receiving core as good as Notre Dame.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: What do you make in that matchup?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a problem, um, it is definitely the biggest concern in this game, especially because, you know, the passing attacks that USC has played so far have been not close to the best ones that they're going to face this season, you know, if the best passing attack that you play,
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: In the season is Illinois, you've only skimmed the surface of what kind of aerial attacks that you're going to go against.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually just had this thought that I pulled up the PFF grades for all the quarterbacks in the big 10 plus U.S., these out of conference schedule plus Notre Dame.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, like Julian Sayon and Jayden, my other up at 90, 0.5 and 90, 0.1, respectively.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Washington's Demon Williams is at 89.3.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: the next best to cj car at 83.3 so the best quarterback in terms of pff grades that u.s.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: he has played set thus far is lookaltmire and he's a 77.5 so we're talking magnitudes uh that that cj car is is playing at better than the quarterbacks u.s.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: he has faced and frankly lookaltmire was a problem for u.s.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: he was a lookaltmire was a big big problem
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: for U.S.C.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: as far as uh... sorry I forgot Ryan Brown sorry Purdue he he was ahead of look all my ready to point six but either way good good passing attacks have had a lot of joy against U.S.C.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: and I think that we saw against Michigan that the game plan and the matchup did suit
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: U.S.E.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: because facing a one-dimensional team, you could, U.S.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, play against the run and force CJ card to throw CJ card is going to do a lot more to you than Bryce underwood was capable of.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: And CJ cards receivers are going to be much more dynamic than the ones that Michigan had out on the field last Saturday.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, we saw USC have to get much better, very quickly, against the run, ahead of the mission game, and they did admirable admirablely, all things considered.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: We need to see USC get much better against the past in this game.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how confident I am in that.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: I will say Alex Graham, and I've been trying to verify this.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: He was listed with a couple snaps in the PFF grades for USC against Michigan.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I didn't see him play personally, but he might be on his way to being back.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, no, Kendall Holloway confirms true wrestling Alex Graham came into the game, and he was at safety.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: In a dime package.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's helpful.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how that contributes.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: But like we've talked about this before.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can't just bank on a true freshman beam the guy to fix everything, especially not only would this be his second taste of action,
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: on the road against the top 15 team at a place where S.C.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: has been notoriously unsuccessful in the last 15 years, like that's scary place for a true freshman to go into.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think the thing that
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: You touched on about like Michigan being more Michigan's that one dimension about their way more on a one to two dimensional slider right like a spectrum their way closer to the one dimensional side the Notre Dame who is like
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: very in the middle of like being nice and balanced.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so I was Illinois and that's where SC really struggled was stopping a team that was balanced because we saw against Purdue, SC got the stops because Purdue wanted to throw the ball a million times and that sort of played into SC's favor where it was like at some point Ryan Brown is gonna make my mistake, right?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: You're just gonna sit back and sort of wait for that moment to happen.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: against Illinois that did not work because the only time Illinois made mistakes was them fumbling at the goal line.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_02]: And that's an unsustainable thing to sort of bank on, right?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I think this is the terrifying matchup for U.S.E.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: defense.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: We saw S.C.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: play well defensively a week ago.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: Michigan's running backs were productive, but they weren't lethal.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: And if you can leave Jeremiah love and jadeurian price to be productive but not lethal, I think that helps.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: When the problem is, Notre Dame has the receivers that Michigan did not have.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that that's going to be a big factor there.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, Notre Dame did lose starting center-action crack like we talked about.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: They got to go to some backups on the offensive line.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: If SEC's defense is going to make an impact, it will be there.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: In the chat, DRUN mentioned that this could be, it came towards sort of coming out party.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: If it is, that's a huge factor for the Trojan's, because I think that's why you make some headway.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_02]: Miami had three sacks against them in week one.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: Three sacks is in a million, but that's a starting point.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's a starting point for disrupting CJ Carr and keeping him off schedule if you can.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and this is the, the thing about losing a starting center is it's usually pretty tough on a team to replace a starting center where USC kind of got a little bit lucky is that.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the tightest battles that USC had in the fall in fall camp and that when Killian O'Connor went out, it's not like USC was starting, you know, a backup backup who wasn't in contention for that job.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: It was... The general read has a lot of experience.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: The general read was somebody USC brought in to be a starter, you know?
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: So the...
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: that is certainly something that could very much disrupt every element of Notre Dame's uh... starting offense and you know i believe it's jawating who's going to be uh... taking over i don't know much about him i don't know how confident Notre Dame fans are in him but uh... he apparently you know had to get thrown in
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: into the fire after that injury and held his own.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: So USC will need their tackles to make life as miserable as possible for for that guy.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: The the other thing I wanted to mention though and this is where you know maybe replacement center maybe just the little things that happen in
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: in the matchup that gives USC some element of hope of the defense coming through and this we talked about how one of the things that makes us uncomfortable by USC's defense is that they're best the best part of USC's defense thus far has been the red zone defense and you and I I think both agree that that you said that's not sustainable because too many of USC's red zone stops felt like they were lucky.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and you can only rely on luck so long.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now, obviously, I'm not going to take anything away from Bishop at Gerald because he made the plays that got those red zone interceptions.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not going to take anything from Eric Gentry because he, the Bishop at Gerald picks are way less luck, even the, the fumbles.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, but Eric Gentry punches the ball out.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: And he, you know, and he, that's just what he does.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's, but it's a, you have to assume it's unsustainable.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the plus side is Notre Dame's red zone offense,
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: has been very frustrating for Notre Dame fans.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to Greg Fleming of inside, what is inside Notre Dame, and Irish sports daily, sorry.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: And he was saying that they had eight red zone trips last week.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: They had a fail on fourth and inches, they had a fourth and three with a bad play call.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: They got blown up.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: And they didn't really finish off their drives in that way and that that's been sort of frustrating that they've had Some hiccups in terms of, you know, tendency for a false start or tendency for three of those last week.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, tendency for just like little things like a This extra point going wonky or or Jayden loved just sort of like losing his mind and running into one of his own players or Yeah,
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Did Jeremiah love or CJ Carr having freshman moments of you know missing a past like we saw from from Bryce Underwood so Notre Dame is still I don't think they're a super well polished offense yet.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they certainly have have developed and started to find their own
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: with c.j.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: j. car but like many like most offenses in college football they do have their moments where mistakes really really hurt them and i think u.s.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: he's goal in this game is obviously going to be in this is probably from every game but you know we always say like whoever wins the turnover battle is most likely to win the game well for me it's not the turnover battle it's whoever has
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: whichever side of the equation the more mistakes are on those just little mistakes those little errors that cost you a play or a drive or a touchdown like those are the things that will add up on one side of the other in whichever side is more heavily weighed down will be the one that loses yeah i think one of the things that makes this match up so interesting to take about in their names offence really really good they're really good offence they are not as
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: But the flip side is Notre Dame's defense is way more consistently reliable than SES defense.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so it balances that.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like this really is a super even matchup.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about the defense from Notre Dame and going up against SES offense.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: The defense is led by Corner Leonard Moore, a Thorpe candidate, three picks so far this year.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: 2PPUs, 12 tackles up front, they have a Viper position, which is like their edge guy.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's Bubba Cartrow, all right?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: Six and a half tackles for loss, five and a half sacks, three hurries.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Junior 2 Alamaka behind him, five hurries, four tackles, one and a half tackles for loss.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: And like that's where they generate their pressure is from that Viper role.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: But this is the Notre Dame team that doesn't produce a lot of negative plays, 130 second in tackles for loss.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: But like I find this Notre Dame defense so fascinating in terms of the numbers.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because they are sixth in FBI defense, sixth.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: That is an elite defense, right, sixth in the country.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: and FI is a opponent adjusted, so that takes into account that they've faced the 8th offense, the number 14th offense, and the number 18th offense, that's Miami and Arkansas.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: But you look at the raw, unadjusted numbers that Notre Dame has put up so far this season, defensively.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: they're almost identical to what S.C.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: is doing.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_02]: Again, the competition is not exactly the same, but the numbers themselves are almost identical.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Success rate, Notre Dame is 70th in the country, S.C.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: 78th.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: Again, these are defenses.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame's defense 70th, S.C.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: defense 78th, scoring defense, Notre Dame 46th, U.S.C.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: 50th, total defense, Notre Dame 59th, S.C.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: 61st, past defense,
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: SC103rd in the country, Notre Dame 106th, third down defense, Notre Dame 58th, SC666, wine yards, Notre Dame 111, SC118th.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: They even create turnovers at the same rate.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: SC is for 12 turnovers, Notre Dame 11.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like these defenses are very similar in a lot of numbers.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: The difference being, SC relies on their turnovers being at the end of drives in the red zone and has one of the best red zone defenses in the country because of that, and Notre Dame gets their turnovers earlier in drives, and while they don't rely on the negative place,
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: That SC does it sort of reduces the the the mean the median the whatever word you the mode I don't know whichever one you want to throw in there of what their average play is They're giving it up you know to me because SC is going to force a lot of negative plays But they're going to give up a lot of plays and sort of balances out that way
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: And so this is a Notre Dame defense, there's going to have their hands full because this the USC offense that is number one in the country in FBI offense, F plus yards per play, total offensive success rate, rushing success rate, offensive possession efficiency, offensive points per drive, available yards per sentence, drives success rate, percentage of drives the average 10 plus yards, 7 plus yards, and 4 plus yards each of those, 50
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: Dead last in punts, which means they're number one in the fewest punts.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't a U.S.E.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: offense.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: This is the best offense, statistically, that F.C.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: maybe has ever had.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like going back to the 2005 team, this isn't a lead offense.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: And so how does this match-up work?
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: Can SC continue to be productive?
- 40:50[SPEAKER_02]: We saw them last week against Michigan, a defense that we all think is a very good stout defense, and SC absolutely shredded them.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: The only time I actually didn't score last week for the most part was when they fumbled in the red zone, or when gained my office during theirception that was
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry he lost his mind for a moment.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know what though?
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was playing instead of a 26 a couple nights ago.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: I literally did the same thing.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: I threw that same Interception and I was like what in the hell was I was rolling out to the right?
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: I saw our receiver I hit the button and then the DV was just there and I was like
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, yes, it does just happen.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: How did that sound to kick the field?
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: So, I think the common thought here is that SC is going to score points, but Notre Dame is also going to score points.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: How is Notre Dame going to slow down, SC is the going to be the biggest question?
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about Leonard Moore being their best player on defense.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: His Thorpe candidate, he's going up against the
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: McIlemon from the Trojans, the Belinda Kauf candidate, except McIlemon lines up in the slot.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Leonard Moore is a boundary corner.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, how do you wrap your head around that?
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: If your Marcus Freeman, do you move more into inside and play him as sort of a nickel and let Christian Gray sort of be just the outside guy who has to take care of Jacobi Lane?
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: Do you just stick to what you're doing?
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: And you hope you slow-assie down in other ways because Marcus Freeman was asked specifically, how do you stop my Kyleman and he was like, a lot of coach speak, but the crux of what he was saying is, you can't let a guy like him beat you.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta do whatever you can to not let him beat you.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: At the same time, you cannot get away from your strengths to the point that you open up other deficiencies.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's, and that's exactly my question with that is, if they get creative trying to put a lid on McKay Lemon.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: we have to remember that Jacobi Lane, while not, you know, not a dominant force for USC this year, so far for variety reasons, the least of which is not the least of which is is the injury.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: But he looked pretty healthy this past week.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: He will be a weak healthier and he is a weapon that I think opposing defenses don't want to tempt.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: to have a big game because yes you need to to limit my kylemen but if you limit my kylemen at the expense of a ten catch two hundred yard jacobie lane performance then what even was the point so i wouldn't be surprised at all if if they're if they're vision here is you know we have to make sure that we're better off having Leonard more put a lit on jacobie lane
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: And do what we can to mitigate, mitigate McCuy Lemon, then to change everything that we do defensively, put a guy in a position that he's not used to playing in a spot of the field that he's not used to playing.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then also potentially weakening our defense of Jacobi Lane will also weakening our best DB, you know, sort of you sort of have to take what you can
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: It is going to be a fascinating chess match really.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that the funny thing to me is like, you guys want to talk about like how USC fans hated Alex French and we're just, you know, doomsday preaching all day about Alex French not not being able to do anything, right?
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: Notre Dame fans, maybe not to the extreme that USC fans hate French.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_01]: They really don't trust Krish at Krishash.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: They really think that he's going to be out of his out of his depth against Lincoln Riley.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: And as a U.S.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: event, I sure hope so, because Lincoln Riley has been in his bag this season.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: He very much ran circles around Notre Dame, which is what Notre Dame fans were saying after that game.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we've marked him.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: And he needs to be doing the same thing to Krishash and Marcus Freeman.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: in order to to put USC out front here because and I've talked to you about this like
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: My feeling on this game is that I want to see USC's defense continue to show up, continue to get better to improve as the season goes on, but I'm, I have no illusions.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: This is a good offense.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is a, this is an offense with playmakers who can and will likely hurt USC and, and, and an offense that's going to probably score closer to 30 points than not.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: in a best case scenario, and USC's offense, the difference last year between a U.S.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: C victory, a shock U.S.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: C victory over Notre Dame, and USC losing that game the way that they did was literally two picks, it was literally, you know, the, the, the, the,
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: errors that USC's offense made that gave Notre Dame that leg up and and and I guess my feeling is if USC was that close offensively last year against Notre Dame.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: This offense is better than they were last year at this at this stage.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think this if USC's offense comes out and plays.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: more or less at the level that they did against Michigan, they need, the minimum they should be shooting for in this game is 35, like USC's offense needs to be looking at scoring 40 under no circumstance, it should be scoring less than 35 if they want any chance of winning this game.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess my concern there comes from we have seen USC's offense
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: at home, and both road games, we saw USC's offense take, even if it was a marginal step back, take enough of a step back that they opened the door for Illinois to win that game.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the question.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: Can USC replicate it on the road?
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: The Purdue game.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: They, every single drive was was technically a successful drive.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: But they in their score points or the attempt at a field goal.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't settle for a lot of field goals in that preview game.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: But, and the Illinois drive, they,
- 47:39[SPEAKER_02]: were a buzz saw when they needed to be.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: They moved the ball really well.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: The drives that they didn't score on, which was a turnover, a bad pass, a penalty.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, those are the three things.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: And so like, those are self-inflicted.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: So if S.E.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: can fix those things and play cleaner, I think it helps.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think it also helps that this chain might have as a 11th start as a Trojan quarterback.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: It was number three for him last year against Notre Dame.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_02]: Also, PFF had that Notre Dame game has his best game.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: It was by far his best PFF graded game and that's with two pick sixes.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, that alone should give USC fans at least a touch of confidence here because
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: Jaden Mayava was not, you know, counted that game in the slightest going up against a really top team.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: He definitely came to play.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: And he's been playing at that level at the level that we saw him in that Notre Dame game.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Minus the pick six is this season, which is why his ratings are so high.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: then you you look at what Notre Dame has done so far this season defensively like myself read through for 360 yards in week two uh and beat the Irish in south ben mind you they've made a lot of personnel changes in the secondary since that game that's that's one thing I want to talk about too because some of Notre Dame's defensive statistics are being slightly warped
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: toward the negative because of their performance in those first three games.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: And since those first three games, they have really shut down Arkansas, Boise State, and NC State teams that I would expect to be capable of scoring more than seven on most teams.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what they were limited to against Notre Dame, Arkansas had 13 in that game.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: Notre Dame did make some personnel changes.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Notre Dame did figure out some things as far as who should be on the field and and in what positions and it seems to have made a difference for them.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: Now, is that enough to stop the tank that is U.S.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: these offense?
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is why this is such an intriguing matchup because both sides of the equation have offenses that could be buzz saws and both
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: have progressively gotten better for one in one way or another.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's going to be a new article to give a close of 50 points, right?
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like either one of these give up 50, either one of these could hold the team the other team under 20.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't know what USC defense, but you know,
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, theoretically.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it's good for you.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: If Bishop Fitzgerald gets his has another two interception game.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: You never know, you know, the defense will be feeling pretty okay.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: Last thing before we get to over under I guess there's the question of can SE repeat the run success that they had last week.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's an interesting question because
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: uh... they were very good on the ground against michigan we know that women Jordan and elisanders are out this is going to be king miller's first career start he's number two in the country in yards per carry we know he loves to crack a big run uh... but this is also another defense that while they don't create negative plays again a hundred and thirty second tackles for loss their front seven uh... as a whole the front seven is a hundred and thirty fourth in in total havoc
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's still 25th and rest defense.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: One guy has had more than five yards per carry this season as a running back against them.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it was like Boisey State's starter who has like five carries against them, right?
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: So like very similar things to what we talked about with Michigan last year, last week, where they just don't give up a lot to the running backs.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: And so what can King Miller do
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: have his rain continue.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's as much about USC's offensive line as it is King Miller.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually quite confident in King Miller's ability to read what's in front of him to hit the correct hole and then to take off when he has that opportunity knock on every piece of wood, but we've also seen King Miller, um,
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was risky.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: I know I had that thought mid-mid-knock, you know.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, very quick aside.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: I've been listening to Taylor Swift's new album and there's a song.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: The song would has like the the chorus is that, you know, she doesn't have to knock on wood and there's a little like knocking that song.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I've been very careful to only ever listen to that song with headphones on the aside from the fact that like I don't want you to divorce me because you're that kind of person Who hates Taylor Swift and doesn't like that.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm listening to her music.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I've had the conscious thought of when I've been listening on when you've been like Out of the room, and I'm listening on my computer like speakers to not play that song Because of the knock and I'm like of the two D.o.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: Gs.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because of two D.o.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Gs.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: But King Miller's all his ball security has been impeccable thus far in a way that, you know, Wayman Jordan that was just big, is big liability.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: King Miller has also been pretty different.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's not as, he's clearly not as comfortable a past catcher as he likes Anders is, but he's been, they've gotten him the ball and he's looked like he's perfectly capable of doing that.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: The King Miller question, the, the, I think generally the only thing I
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: that could really impact U.S.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: his offense is how capable can he be in past protection?
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: And that is always the no blocking or rocky.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, no blocking or rocky situation.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: And U.S.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: doesn't, you know, beggars can't be true to this point.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to have to rely on whatever king Miller can give them on that front.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: But that's my bigger concern than can king Miller,
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: navigate his way through through Notre Dame's defense for me it's just a question of is USC's offensive line going to once again open up those holes given those opportunities and and and if if the offensive line is doing their job the way that they've done it all season I have zero doubt in King Miller's ability.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that's going to be a huge question for us to see how that goes.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: All right, it's time of the year, time of the show when we go to everyone's favorite segment.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're going over.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think we would bowl, giving that over.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going, I've got to take it under here.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_04]: I got three under to take.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to do an under here.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: The link is in the show notes.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's in the description.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's in the duly du.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: At least you want to paste the link in the in the chat.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think that would be helpful.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to the first one.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Over under 300.5.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: Jaden Mayava passing yards.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: That, I think it's crazy to say that like the, the overrunner's 300 passing yards on the road against the top 15 team against the defense that is number 6 and Fiat sounds nuts.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_02]: But my office averaging 308.7 passing yards per game, he had 364 at Illinois a couple weeks ago, and 360 against Notre Dame last season at the Colosseum.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to Annem's Marcell Reed, had 360 at...
- 55:05[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame Stadium in week two.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame's defense against the pass is 106 in the country.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_02]: They do allow 245.3 yards per game, but this is the number one USC offense that's coming to town.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Williams though had 199 last time out in South Bend in 2023.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_02]: Also through three picks.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: So take all of that for what it's worth.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: Over under 300.5, Jade might have a passing
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to take the over on this one.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: Notre Dame has done a good job against opposing quarterbacks, only two of them have gotten over 300 yards that was Ryan Brown and Purdue and Marcel Reed of Texas A&M with 360.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I also think that Jade and my other end this offense, if nothing else, we'll find yards.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: My concern with this offense is less about them finding yards and more about them capping off drives without turning the ball over and finishing with touchdowns instead of field goals.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that he will have better than 300 yards in this game, even if it's just slightly so.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gonna be over.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this is a spoiler alert for anything.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think there should be a lot of yards and a lot of points in this game.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of these offensive things.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you can lean over because I think there will be over in this game just on a lot of offensive things.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be a lot of offensive in this game.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: If it, this end up being a defensive shootout, it would be a shock beyond all shocks.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like sometimes it happens.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes the weird games that you expect to be food out turn into defensive slug, slug fest.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that'll be the case with this game, but you never know.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you never know, but I just have a good feeling.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: There'll be a lot of a lot of points in the arts in this game.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_02]: Next one, 4.99 King Miller Yards per carry.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: Miller is second nationally with 10.7 yards per carry that's more than double the 4.99 but Notre Dame is only allowed one running back to have more than 5 yards per carry this season that of course Boisey State still and Riley average 6.6 on just 5 carries.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: So small sample says Notre Dame defense doesn't allow the running back to get over 5 yards so 4.99 can King Miller get over the 5 yards
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually taking the under on this and not because I doubt King Miller in any sense, but I think he's probably going to be carrying the load, he's probably going to have a lot of carries in this game and you know, eventually I think that you have to
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have to bake in a game where he doesn't break that big long run.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe he'll do it again, but I think he'll probably his gains.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: I expect his gains in this game to be a little bit more of the sort of modest variety, even though I think he'll have a good running game, but not
- 58:08[SPEAKER_01]: even if he has an explosive run-in, not a Michigan game you're saying.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not the Michigan game, and even if he has an explosive run or two, I just think that he's going to be getting all of those one yard carries that way, than Jordan usually ends up getting, you know?
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the game last week, King Miller had like, I think three or four like runs in a row that were like one yard last, so like, yeah.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: There are a few of those in there, absolutely.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna take the over, even if it's only slights, I just think that like, his average is more than double what this line is.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think it'll be over maybe this because he cracks one big long run.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think the question here is how does Notre Dame's defense treat the running game?
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: Did they watch the Michigan film and they're like, oh, we've got to shut down the run.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: And they're going to do their best to target the running game.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe creep more guys in the box or something.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: How are they going to put more emphasis on that?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_02]: Or are they going to be like, we can't let McIe lemon and Jacoby Lane beat us so we're going to drop eights because if they drop eights.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: There's there's your running lanes for King Miller.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to see how it goes.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take the offer.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to the next one.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_02]: One and a half Notre Dame Sachs.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: S.E.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: is allowing 0.67.
- 59:32[UNKNOWN]: 0.67.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_02]: Sachs per game, which is of course two thirds of a sack per game.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame has allowed it as had at least three.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: in each of the last four games, is the team that doesn't make a lot of negative plays, but when they do make a negative play, it's a sack.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: So, will they get more than two?
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: What in a half is the, will they get two?
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: Is this a question?
- 59:57[SPEAKER_02]: What in a half is the line?
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going over on this simply because it will eventually happen that Jade might have a good taken down twice like it just it just will happen eventually uh... it wouldn't even have to be a bad game for u.s.s.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: offensive line for that to just eventually happen so i'm playing the odds here maybe playing a little bit of like uh... a reverse psychology or something like that i'm taking that over i'm taking the over to i
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think this could be a two-sack game, or whatever.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's a tough game on the road at night, a lot of pressure, all of those things.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think they should be able to get to my oven, maybe more than anything else SC has given up.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: This year, SC has not given up two-sacks in a game, but does seem like they're kind of due for that?
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_02]: If it's an under, I think that's a really good sign for SC.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to the next one.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_02]: It is three and a half.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_02]: fall start penalties combined.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_02]: Both teams, we know, I have not their starting centers out for the season for both teams.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: SE had four fall starts themselves last time out at Notre Dame in 2023.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame just last week against NC State had three themselves at home with the new center in there.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: because S.E.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: had four in no-to-day and last time out, like, but in other ways, like, putting the, like four fall, like banking on four fall starts seems like a lot to.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: So three and a half is a line.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_01]: I am taking that under because I am tired of taking the over on penalty over under and getting screwed.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm taking the under that makes no sense.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: But I just, you know, I just got to do it.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking the over.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_02]: I might literally take the over on literally everything here.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_02]: Take in the over, let's get weird.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, next one is 0.5 Eric Gentry Force Fumbles.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: At least we put this line together because I discovered perhaps the craziest stat I've ever found.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_02]: In the last two calendar years, Eric Gentry has forced a
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: this game last I checked on the run it is uh... mine he's only played in for true road games last two calendar year i mean that's uh... but he's done it and he's one at cow he had that that crazy play where he just went off and forced to fumble and michigan he had one of those uh... last uh... last year uh... kept the cow game is in twenty twenty three uh...
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: at Purdue yet two force fumbles at Purdue and he had one at Illinois.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_02]: So over under point five Eric Gentry forced fumbles.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm taking the under again because I'm just not going to do I'm just not going to take anything that that is super positive for you to see also look eventually you eventually you are which statistically you are simply just going to not force a fumble like by no by no fault of your own like eventually you will simply not do it now counter to this accepting that I'm taking the under just because I'm in I'm in this state of mind
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: uh... i will mention it might it actually will is very likely it will rain on saturday in such a if i just not pay attention to well great pointed out to me great coming uh... fleming pointed out to me uh... he's he's the forecast he sent over was seventy four partly cloudy in the morning the becoming cloudy with periods of rain
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_01]: later in the day, a chance of rain 70% during the day, and then at night, there's an 80% chance of rain with a near a quarter of an inch, so a rainfall.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it could be, it could be wet, which could lead to more, to more humble opportunities, but I'm still taking the under because I refuse not to.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking the over.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's already.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking over on everything.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just over over over over over over over I'm very partisan this this over under.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm in the over party.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to the last one.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_02]: We're going real plane Jane here.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_02]: The true over under total points.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's at 61 and a half last I looked this up this morning.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_02]: Total points over under 61 and a half when it got.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to take this over, um, I do have that sneaking suspicion that we're going to get a surprise like defensive battle, uh, where both offenses are just sort of losing their minds because sometimes that happens.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_01]: But realistically, I don't see either of these teams failing to score more than, is failing to score 30 points.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that over.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_02]: I agree, so I'm taking the over as well, Bob in the chat says 42.27.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_02]: That would be an over.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_02]: That would be an over.
- 1:05:15[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's also a very strong possibility, even if it's Notre Dame 42 USC 27.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think that the winning team in this game probably scores 40 points.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Vegas line has this at nine and a half when I said check this morning, which is seems crazy to me.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_01]: That is bigger than I expected.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_02]: That is big.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_02]: That is a, this Vegas know something big.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what makes me think that as soon as I saw that line was when I reached out to Greg, to ask literally like, I need to know more about no range defense because if you look at the numbers,
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_01]: That line shouldn't be as big as it is unless something big change with Notre Dame's defense and the first three games where they gave up all those points and the the last three games where they've held everybody pretty pretty low.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: Is that just opponent or did something change and he said yeah things changed.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: So that makes me think that the biggest things Notre Dame's defense is more the last three games in the first three games.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_02]: 35 25.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: So that is huge too.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_02]: What's your score prediction?
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what I find interesting, and again, these at the FBI projection, the Notre Dame projection, sorry, the Vegas projection, all of these, it suggests that they think that Notre Dame is going to be able to hold USC's offense.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_01]: Which I'm not sure, except for what Kenny said in the chat, I don't trust USC against a
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't trust USC against a ranked road team either.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_01]: I do think USC will score more than 25 points, but I don't think they will score the closer to 40 that they will need to overcome Notre Dame's offense themselves.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I've got Notre Dame 35 USC 33.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think that goes along with the similar vibes that I have here.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_02]: I agree that, like, yes, there's a million reasons to get worried about S.C.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_02]: performance on the road.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_02]: I tend to think that most of that has to do with wins and losses rather than score.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_02]: Go back to the 2022 Utah game.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is a very similar comparison to that game.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_02]: That was a game S.C.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_02]: lost 43-42.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_02]: S.C.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_02]: scored it well against them, but so did Utah against S.C., you know what I mean?
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we've talked about it before S.C.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_02]: plays well against good teams.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_02]: Do they win those games?
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_02]: Until the Michigan game last week, no.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_02]: but they play well in those games.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they play up to their competition.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_02]: The one time that they really got their ass kicked was the Notre Dame game two years ago, in which Caleb Williams threw three interceptions.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_02]: And if Jayden might have a throw three interceptions on Saturday, then yes, they're going to get their ass kicked, and it'll be a jiggle baggy, and absolutely.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_02]: You need to avoid that.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_02]: I see this as one of those classic red river shootouts from the Lincoln-Riley era at Oklahoma.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_02]: Forty something, the Forty something, maybe someone gets 50.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it goes to overtime.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think it comes down to who makes the last mistake.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_02]: Not who makes the play at the end?
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: Who makes the last mistake?
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's who loses this game.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_02]: And so, I see this 48-45 in over time, and I'm really torn on who wins this.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_02]: Part of me leans Notre Dame because S.E.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_02]: tends to lose by a field while on the road.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then part of me leans towards SC in the sense that like Jade Myova and Illinois in the fourth quarter was freaking nails and CJ car good in the fourth quarter against Miami Production wise Struggled against the in the fourth quarter against Texas A&M he was only four nine for seven forty seven yards Jade Myova was nails against Illinois on the road, but he also threw two big sixes against another name on the fourth quarter last year.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_02]: So like I don't know
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'm dumb, I'm going to take SC4845 either way.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's 4845 in a coin flip.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just banking on being wrong to be quite honest.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: I picked USC to be a little bit more, and I was wrong.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: I picked Michigan to be USC, and I was wrong.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm picking Notre Dame to be USC in hopes of continuing to just be proven wrong.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of it.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's get to the mail bag, shall we?
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_03]: You've got mail.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's open up an email we got from Oscar, Oscar from SouthGates' longtime listener, first-time contributor.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_02]: I have two questions.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, Notre Dame is known for their physicality on both sides of the ball.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_02]: What adjustments does SC need to make this week to match that intensity?
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_02]: And number two, what do you think SC needs to prove most in this game?
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_02]: They can play physical football or that their offense can still dominate elite defenses.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_01]: What's, let's say you, um, I, let's see, um, how to answer both of these questions.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: What adjustments US needs to make is no adjustments in the sense of they need to just come at them the same way that they did Michigan.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like it needs to be exactly what they did against Michigan more or less, and they just need to
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_01]: bring in their own chefs to make the food or uh... you know get in early or get in late or do whatever it is that they that they do like in order in order to match noted in physicality comes down to we've already seen u.s.e.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: be physical.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not an adjustment.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's a keep on doing exactly what you did.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_01]: The area that USC needs to, what USC needs to prove the most in this game for me, it's it's less about that they can play physical football or even just that the offense can dominate an elite defense because I think that's already been proven that they can.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_01]: What they need to prove to me is that when they go on the road, that they can play clean football and get a win.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_01]: because we didn't see them play clean football against Illinois and they didn't get that win.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen them play clean football on the road in a while.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like even Purdue, Purdue, they got that win, but it was still kind of like an ugly road win.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I get the... They were ugly aspects to it.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I get that, you know, every team tends to struggle on the road and very few go on the road and play perfectly clean.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_01]: But if USC wants to win this game,
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_01]: find a way to play much closer to what they do at the Colosseum than they have managed to do it any road game since since when since I don't even know it's been a while.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's again the S.E.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_02]: loss, but I think that the Michigan game last year is worth a shout.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_02]: That was a game in which S.C.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_02]: got blown off the ball in the first half.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_02]: Came out in the second half, gained 200 and it's like 54, something like that.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yards in the second half took control of the game, lost at the end by giving up long run.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_02]: But that was a game in which they set the tone in the second half of that game.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Despite not looking like they belong to the same fields in the first half and so like if you can sort of channel the energy from that second half Where like yeah, we belong we belong we are we can be physical we can match the intensity we can do all that stuff Of that of that Michigan game, but Make the play when you need to make the tackle when you need to Don't throw the pick six like Miller Moss did Last year then
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_02]: or like, drain my oven did against literally another day in last year.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_02]: That will be huge.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, it's very simple.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's limit mistakes and don't let the moment be too big for you.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that S C's the good thing under Lincoln Riley.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_02]: We can sit here and say that he doesn't win a lot of the big games at S C, which is 1,000% true.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know show in those with the exception on that Notre Dame game.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I I'm looking back as the picks.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm looking back at USC's road performance going back well before Lincoln Riley.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_01]: So this is not necessarily Lincoln Riley question.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_01]: What do you remember?
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, no, no, no, that was at home.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_01]: So that's not even by the way.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_02]: I meant to say this earlier when when you were talking about Um, how Notre Dame is going to respond to like what they're going to do in the secondary, whether they put Leonard more in the slot or whatever One of the things I think about is the 2019 SC Notre Dame game Where
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_02]: That is a very good game, a valiant effort.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_02]: S.C.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_02]: loses a very close game.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_02]: They deserve to maybe get more in that.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_02]: Kinslow has probably his best game he's ever played.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_02]: One of the things that was so good for S.C.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_02]: in that game is S.C.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_02]: had a receiving core of Tyler Vons, Michael Pittman, Omar S. Brown, and Drake London.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame didn't know who the hell to cover.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Every single play it felt like somebody was wide open.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_02]: It was Amonra, or it was Vaughn's or was Pitman, and I think for the most part, I think they targeted Pitman as the guy as the danger man, and Amonra had a huge game in that game, right?
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_02]: So if the, if Notre Dame puts a lot of effort in this sort of taking away McIe lemon, and this is the Jacobi Lane game, great.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Make him pay that way, you know what I mean?
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love that.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but what were you going to say I really cut you know, well, I was going to say that the last time I mean I think we've already established it the last time you see one on the road against the ranked team was in 2016 Washington.
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um, uh, the like US who kind of touched out in that game.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Daniel, why don't we be?
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's a lot of defensive numbers.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_02]: Mind you, UCLA's defense in 2022, like the FBI numbers, the metrics were really out on them too.
- 1:16:48[SPEAKER_02]: But like, a lot of their numbers would just like a C-steefence.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and that ended up being a, you know, a Spider-Man porning game and S, C, one at 48, 45 in part because they didn't make the last mistake.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: You see, like I said, yes, yeah, but I'm just, I'm just looking through here.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Even, even not ranked teams.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_01]: USC's road wins have all been.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_01]: like we're talking like cow twenty twenty three uh... fifty one fifty no fifty forty nine fifty forty nine the colorado game where they let
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Shoulder Sanders come back the 48 41 and then ASU the week before 422 28 I don't remember anything about that game, but there was bad Yeah, so like issue is really bad.
- 1:17:36[SPEAKER_02]: It was it it was a game with like it was never truly in peril But like acid did not the Christian rector game?
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, that was 2018.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:17:45[SPEAKER_02]: This was the game in which
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_02]: he he did everything like he was they scored uh... air issue either score to head big plays on like four or five different trick plays and uh... they were really ugly beyond that but like as he just couldn't get out of their own way on the offence side of the ball and they didn't really take like as he was in control of the game but like
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_02]: not it was just like a it was like a 10 point lead for like the whole game real ugly until the fourth quarter when they had like seven sacks in the fourth quarter when as you really had to like throw the ball yeah well it's not the game just suffice it to say that
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_01]: U.S.
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_01]: is probably U.S.
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_01]: is best road game road win in in in in the last five years so going back to twenty twenty one is beating Washington state with Jackson dark like and that what like and I say that just because like
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_01]: U.S.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_01]: C. B. Colorado that year but Colorado was real bad and the year before U.S.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_01]: C. B. Arizona, but Arizona was real bad and like all those games were closer than they should have been at the very least Washington state a team that was was bowl eligible, I suppose, and it was one that U.S.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_01]: C. absolutely like throttled them and U.S.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_01]: C. is not performed well on the road, even against bad teams, like it's literally once in the last five years.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I just think that they end up playing teams that are better.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that organ game in 2023, they bow next score, throw some of the easiest touchdown passes you'll ever see in the first quarter.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_02]: But like, for the rest of the game, as he just lingers around sort of kind of, they make a game of it in the fourth quarter, like,
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_02]: they weren't embarrassed in that working game um obviously they didn't really have a chance of winning right but i'm talking like wins no i know like the win heaven been there i guess i'm just saying that like the Michigan game
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_02]: that's the effort you want.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's not the win because this is the issue is that you haven't won those games because even the Illinois game, I think you can point at the Illinois game like offensively like that was a really good sign that SC fought and like didn't roll over and like they did all those things and they fought back and they played really well in every aspect of the game that doesn't start with the D.
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if you do that again in South Bend, maybe you maybe win the game, but you have to actually prove it.
- 1:20:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think what it helps at least give makes me think the SC has more of a chance here is that neither Notre Dame or SC have one.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_02]: the the the hard fought close game at the end this year.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_02]: Notre Dame's two losses are the games in which they had to get into a rock fight in the fourth quarter of some sort.
- 1:20:49[SPEAKER_02]: And they didn't didn't win those games as seen lost.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_02]: At Illinois, even though when they were scoring a bunch of points and like you can look at it and say, well, yeah, I see sure to be the Illinois and, you know, Notre Dame fans can say that there are two plays away from being undefeated all all that you want, but like, both of these teams can feel like they should have given more in the last moment of losses.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_02]: And so both of the teams have to like respond at the end there.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it is going to come down to which like, I like your, I like your assessment of whoever makes the last mistake.
- 1:21:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it never makes the last thing, it was just a, uh, interesting.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_02]: Um, all right, uh, really quick.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_02]: We did get a, uh, a super chat earlier that I meant to get to, and I'm sorry that we did not get to it, but really, really quick before we do that.
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_02]: YouTube comment from Matthew that says, you have to read this, not me.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Shaden fraud or shot in Florida or shot in Florida.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_01]: The delight in another's misfortune.
- 1:21:57[SPEAKER_01]: I heard Schofen fraud.
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry to be that guy.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_01]: Matthew, I heard it too.
- 1:22:01[SPEAKER_01]: I heard it too.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I just, I just shook my head and let it go.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's like that.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's literally how he says it.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Most of the time when he says it.
- 1:22:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's his hyperbowl.
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 1:22:14[SPEAKER_01]: I struggle with, because I can never remember if it's if it's shortened fraud or shortened fraud.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_01]: You shade and shot and Freud.
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know,
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_02]: Sort of I felt like I was saying wrong, and then just would say it wrong as a bit is elementary Yeah, an elementary school like I just I did say it.
- 1:22:38[SPEAKER_02]: We it's fun to say that and then I've been listening to people say that word elementary school
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't say elementary elementary is how a lot of people say no, but it's weird.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_01]: But also you pointed out the other day that our friends say button button and now and every time not just the word button button, but other words that they say in that same way.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Now I notice it and I'm like, what?
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's because it's like a very California thing to like.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_02]: Just shorten everything.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_02]: Just shorten things.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_02]: We say mountain instead of mountain.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Mountain.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Mountain.
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_02]: And like in Utah they say mountain instead of like it's it's an even like there's no tea at all just mountain and did you go up into the mountain?
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_02]: And like we still put a little bit of a tee there, but but yes, there are people that pronounce it mountains and like it's really a whole linguistics thing.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's very fascinating.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's a guy in TikTok that does the things and it's incredible.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_01]: I watch all of his videos that when they come to my feed, but my problem is.
- 1:23:44[SPEAKER_01]: What is created?
- 1:23:45[SPEAKER_01]: What is created?
- 1:23:46[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, what?
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_02]: What is crayola make?
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_02]: Crans.
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_02]: I hate crayons.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't stress me nuts you know what I do though.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do this with a lot of things when I'm writing I will in my head say crayons because that's the Spet the way to spell it.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_01]: So when I'm saying like, oh, Pamela's crayons like that's what I say and and when I see it there is the hint
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_01]: of an intention to add the O in there, it's just, I can hear it when I'm doing it, it's just yet just crush.
- 1:24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I also hate when people say Dantin Lynn, and you do this, and it drives me nuts.
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's Dantin Lynn.
- 1:24:26[SPEAKER_02]: As a po-me boy.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:24:28[SPEAKER_02]: What city is the NFL Hall of Fame?
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_02]: The Pro Football Hall of Fame in?
- 1:24:33[SPEAKER_01]: The Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Canton.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_02]: You you perfectly said can't and it's a can't no higher.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't say can't no higher in my normal life No higher can't in I said it because it's can't and because it's a it's a place.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know weird.
- 1:24:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's can't no higher The the S. E. Me the guy literally says rhymes with can't

- 1:27:09[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:27:10[SPEAKER_02]: big game for 30 p.m.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what I was going to say, though, with Shen Prada, I, my goal with that number one great word.
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_01]: I love the Germans and their ability to like describe feelings, which is fun, which is literally funny that the Germans describe feelings in the most interesting way, but my goal with any word like that is just to be as California about it as possible,
- 1:27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like just mumble it because that it doesn't matter, shinford.
- 1:27:43[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 1:27:44[SPEAKER_02]: That works kidding the sets as I say now of days It's that nowadays that that's that's funny.
- 1:27:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's funny.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good bit.
- 1:27:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a good bit There's another one I do I do a labiter.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I say a labiter.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_02]: A labiter's fun.
- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, it's pronounced thermometer That's my all-time favorite sign felt line then nobody ever gets it
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry and George are talking about a barometer.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_02]: What is a barometer anyways?
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it measures pressure like and then this is the conversation We've had about the rotometer is the rotometer or the rotometer.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think we're going rotometer Rotometer sounds cool.
- 1:28:27[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds British though.
- 1:28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like we'd have a ton of British accents together.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see Controversy I always find it funny the Canadian organization
- 1:28:38[SPEAKER_01]: organization.
- 1:28:38[SPEAKER_01]: Project.
- 1:28:38[SPEAKER_01]: Project.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I had a, I had a history teacher in middle school, who, she spent like years living in, living in, living in, living in, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living, living,
- 1:28:57[SPEAKER_02]: Australian New Zealand, but I think it was New Zealand, but she was American, and she would say project.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, we're going to do this project, and like, I would giggle inside every time she said, because I thought it was weird, not until I like grew up and then realized that, like, no, that's just like, that's the common with common wealth way of saying it, to the Brits and the Canadian Embassy saying, my elementary school teacher elementary school,
- 1:29:26[SPEAKER_02]: I hate when people see pleasure and everybody in it was great because she would always start like her speeches or whatever with it's my pleasure to And people like just cringe and she's like it was just like the healing the one that really pisses me off is ten plate Templates if you are someone who says ten plate reconsider your life, please it's template template template Why are we saying ten plate?
- 1:29:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's very awkward if you're if you're talking to someone who says template, but you have to say template back it is so funny when somebody says something a certain way and you say it back and you say it back the way you say and then I'm like, does it sound like I'm correcting them I'm not trying to be an asshole.
- 1:30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like internally I might be thinking this, but like I'm not trying to be an asshole.
- 1:30:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
- 1:30:24[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of, like, terms that I didn't realize were the same term.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to think of an example of this.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_01]: A C to benefit and A C to benefit.
- 1:30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I say A C to benefit.
- 1:30:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's true.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, but the overseas that it's pronounced a different way, I think.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_02]: Played your eyes.
- 1:30:41[SPEAKER_02]: Played your eyes.
- 1:30:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, played your eyes.
- 1:30:43[SPEAKER_02]: Weird, weird, too.
- 1:30:43[SPEAKER_02]: So, all right.
- 1:30:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to wrap up there.
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back Saturday, 430 p. It's data, not data, by the way.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Joseph's data in the chat data.
- 1:30:54[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever.
- 1:30:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's data it depends on the it depends on the context.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, then that to me.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's the word caramel.
- 1:31:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:31:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's depends on the sample lies in onions.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm eating a little candy, that's a caramel.
- 1:31:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's caramel coloring.
- 1:31:14[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, it's like, if you're doing data entry, it's data.
- 1:31:18[SPEAKER_01]: But then there is a context where I feel like I would say, like, well, the data says.
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think I still say data there.
- 1:31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:31:26[SPEAKER_02]: I still say data.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_02]: Rimes with theta sounds great.
- 1:31:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:31:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:31:33[SPEAKER_02]: We're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're way off track.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, can we can we celebrate though?
- 1:31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Great performance from the DMK from the D.O.G.s.

- 1:31:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:31:44[SPEAKER_02]: We won't be getting negative views and comments thankfully.
- 1:31:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Because the preemptively, they were taken out on like an hour and 15 minute sniff walk this morning.
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Love us.
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_01]: And not even this morning because I say this morning is though I didn't literally wake up at noon.
- 1:32:04[SPEAKER_01]: so it's just a few hours ago that they went out for an hour and you know an hour and 15 sniff walk that was literally just me walking around the neighborhoods near our house going like no we're not going to go home yet because you guys don't look tired at a time yet so yeah there you go it worked all right we'll be back

- 1:32:27[SPEAKER_02]: So until then we will see, go, go, click the link in the, the overunder.
- 1:32:33[SPEAKER_02]: So make sure you put in your overunder stuff in the, uh, description of all that.
