- 0:02Speaker 1: Well, let's talk to the the Dean himself, the best
- 0:05Speaker 1: political analyst of all. Nobody has run more campaigns, more
- 0:09Speaker 1: successful campaigns than he has. Ed Rollins is with us,
- 0:13Speaker 1: Ed Rollins, how you doing doing well?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Thank you? Monarch tivity going on the world.
- 0:19Speaker 1: So this piece deal, if all goes according to plan
- 0:22Speaker 1: and it happens, what will the Democrats do? How will
- 0:24Speaker 1: they attack him on this?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Well, they won't be an attack on this. They basically
- 0:29Speaker 2: have to plaud. And I think the world is starting
- 0:31Speaker 2: to applaud completely ship. This will not happen if he
- 0:34Speaker 2: had stepped in and pushed BB to the to the wall.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And I think it's a certain extent you've read that
- 0:41Speaker 2: argue about the stupidity of who got the Noil Peace Prize. Today,
- 0:45Speaker 2: if this thing works, he's going to be the one
- 0:47Speaker 2: of unanimously a year from now. The Peace Prize nominees
- 0:53Speaker 2: are supposed to be in by February. He was barely
- 0:55Speaker 2: president at the time. And I think this certain extent
- 1:00Speaker 2: at the ediocy of the Peace Prize overshadow what he's done.
- 1:03Speaker 2: He's made this happen. He's about these forces have been fighting.
- 1:07Speaker 2: He said this for thousands of years together and he
- 1:09Speaker 2: has to make it work now.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So yeah, now, I know he's got a lot to do,
- 1:13Speaker 1: but I think he should also take up another task,
- 1:16Speaker 1: which is just wipe out this reputation of this Nobel
- 1:19Speaker 1: Peace Prize. It's a Democrat peace prize. It's a left
- 1:21Speaker 1: wing slanted I don't know how they still have this reputation.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But Donald Trump should try to take away that reputation
- 1:27Speaker 1: from don't you think?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Well? I think I think he probably will. I mean,
- 1:30Speaker 2: who cares, being perfectly honest, Yeah, you know, Jimmy Carter
- 1:35Speaker 2: got it after he was president, ten years after he left.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Obama got it before he was president. He got he
- 1:42Speaker 2: got the Peace Ward, and everybody said it was just
- 1:44Speaker 2: because he got elected, you know, three months into his administration.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So the last American who really got it to deserve
- 1:50Speaker 2: it was Jeddy Roosevelt Trump to stop the war.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, the New Jersey race, it's Chitdarelli against what's
- 1:59Speaker 1: her name, Mickey, Mikey Sheryl. They gotten a big fight
- 2:01Speaker 1: and the she accused him of this and that he's
- 2:04Speaker 1: now says he's going to sue her. Have you ever
- 2:06Speaker 1: heard of that one candidate suing another because of what
- 2:08Speaker 1: they said in the debate.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And you know, the problem with sues is that people
- 2:15Speaker 2: find out. You know, once you get beyond the rhetoric
- 2:18Speaker 2: of the initial case, then you have discovery and all
- 2:21Speaker 2: the rest of it. Then you know, her her counter
- 2:23Speaker 2: claim is going to be how did he get her
- 2:26Speaker 2: general documents that he shouldn't have had, so, you know,
- 2:29Speaker 2: argue about the things about it in a Jersey and
- 2:33Speaker 2: where she graduated in her class or but there's circumstances work.
- 2:37Speaker 2: She's a member of Congress who's got a lot of
- 2:39Speaker 2: the ideas that probably won't work, and he's got a
- 2:42Speaker 2: lot of ideas that are going to be challenged. And
- 2:44Speaker 2: that's what the campaign though.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Hey, a lot of these campaigns around the mayoral race
- 2:50Speaker 1: with Mondonie and some of these governors race. The big
- 2:52Speaker 1: issue is Gaza, the treatment of the people in Gaza.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Palestine's if this peace deal goes through. They're going to
- 2:58Speaker 1: lose that issue for the final weeks, aren't they.
- 3:01Speaker 2: They argument is that issue, and hopefully there's a lot
- 3:03Speaker 2: other issues to come to the forefront. There's a lot
- 3:06Speaker 2: a lot of plays right now in the course system Portland,
- 3:10Speaker 2: the Chicago putting troops around in the Supreme Court obviously
- 3:14Speaker 2: back on the game again. So you know what you
- 3:17Speaker 2: want no want to do is you don't want to
- 3:18Speaker 2: have these things faltered on you, and make sure that
- 3:21Speaker 2: everything you're doing is in coordination. As you've heard me
- 3:25Speaker 2: over and over again, I'm a great believer in messages,
- 3:28Speaker 2: and if you have too many things on the turray,
- 3:31Speaker 2: you just considered lay your message down right now. But
- 3:36Speaker 2: getting the government back functioning again is what's the most important.
- 3:39Speaker 2: And the president can't stop that or start that. But
- 3:44Speaker 2: if you start having trouble with planes, they start having
- 3:46Speaker 2: trouble with soldiers not getting paid, then you really have
- 3:51Speaker 2: a big issue.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Hey, the mayor all race, the big debate is coming
- 3:55Speaker 1: up Thursday. Now, let's say Curtis just hits mom Downald
- 3:58Speaker 1: with knockout blows, unbelievable moments that go viral. Could that
- 4:02Speaker 1: change the race?
- 4:04Speaker 2: Anybody watches it, Well, it's.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Social media, it could go viral all over the place.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's possible, it will go. It will go pass if
- 4:12Speaker 2: we know that. But nobody watches these debates anymore. And
- 4:15Speaker 2: it's just the number there is in New Jersey debates
- 4:19Speaker 2: this week and Virginia urt Low and the social media
- 4:22Speaker 2: does play bid Molly, and Curtis has to make the case.
- 4:26Speaker 2: You know, he he's served me the factory at this
- 4:28Speaker 2: point in time, being a YEL candidate. Calmo got all
- 4:33Speaker 2: all of Adam's vote. He has to He's still thirteen
- 4:35Speaker 2: fourteen points of Hime, which is a pretty good place
- 4:38Speaker 2: to be. And and the other problems Rondali is getting.
- 4:43Speaker 2: You take people under fifty, You've got a majority of
- 4:46Speaker 2: that vote. He's got a majority of the Asian voters,
- 4:48Speaker 2: Black voters, which normally almost strongs. So my senses, he's
- 4:54Speaker 2: still I'd much rather have his campaign and I was
- 4:56Speaker 2: in the campaign. I don't want to run a socialist campaign.
- 4:59Speaker 2: But then but he's still pretty well positioned.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, now you've been the.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Best erratic something dramatic as to happen.
- 5:05Speaker 1: You've been the best campaign consultant for years. If you
- 5:07Speaker 1: were working for Cuomo, wouldn't you say, I don't know
- 5:09Speaker 1: how you say it, but when you say to them, hey,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you got to talk a little faster, you got to
- 5:12Speaker 1: be able to have a little more energy. You look tired.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Wouldn't could you tell him that.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I've been terribly disappointed in the campaign. As I told you,
- 5:19Speaker 2: I'm not a Cuomo fan, but I'm just as an
- 5:22Speaker 2: observer at this point in time. I've seen one ad,
- 5:26Speaker 2: I've seen dozens of ads sort of mundabih and you know,
- 5:31Speaker 2: I don't see any ground game, as though there's no
- 5:34Speaker 2: Democratic Party operators that have been order for him at
- 5:37Speaker 2: this point. Yeah, Cuomo, And to a certain extent, how
- 5:40Speaker 2: do you win. You win by being out there and
- 5:43Speaker 2: being dramatic, and I'll say, you know, he's here's my
- 5:46Speaker 2: father did, He's what I did and no more. But
- 5:49Speaker 2: that's not acceptable today. He's got a fifty two percent
- 5:52Speaker 2: of some Google reading. He's got to do something, bring
- 5:54Speaker 2: them down, and he's got to do something the race,
- 5:56Speaker 2: the you know, I mean, I think he's gonna woman.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Obviously he is viable at this point in time.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, we were talking before Miranda Divine and she's
- 6:05Speaker 1: been talking to psychologists. This Trump hatred, the people that
- 6:09Speaker 1: hate Trump. It's like a raging so psychiatrist said, it's
- 6:13Speaker 1: it's like a daddy issue. It's like he's too tough,
- 6:16Speaker 1: he's too masculine, he's too he shows no vulnerability anywhere. Ever,
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's too much but what do you think.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I think there's some truth that I mean there is,
- 6:26Speaker 2: there is a polarization, and it doesn't matter what he does.
- 6:30Speaker 2: He doesn't get any of those eight years back. And
- 6:33Speaker 2: he's done. He's been a very strong president. He's done
- 6:36Speaker 2: a lot and then if you look at it, just
- 6:40Speaker 2: premium a progress in six seven months, He's made tremendous progress.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He's definitely defined redefine the president's rule. I mean he's
- 6:50Speaker 2: Elvis president can on history. Yeah, and people even credit for.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It well Ed Rollins. Uh. But you know, every present,
- 6:58Speaker 1: even Nixon would show vault on their ability. He would
- 7:00Speaker 1: also you'd see him bowling, you see him with the kids.
- 7:02Speaker 1: He was like an all American father. Trump does none
- 7:05Speaker 1: of that. Do you think he should do that, try
- 7:07Speaker 1: to look more humble normal?
- 7:10Speaker 2: I think a little hell he would be a great
- 7:12Speaker 2: asset for him. I think a certain extent he's too angry.
- 7:17Speaker 2: He has too many, too many enemies that he wants
- 7:19Speaker 2: to take out. At this point in time, I got
- 7:22Speaker 2: to just be do it quietly, do it scenes, and
- 7:25Speaker 2: just get out there and talk about what I've done
- 7:26Speaker 2: for the country when I'm wanting to continue to do
- 7:28Speaker 2: for the country and what I'm going to do with
- 7:29Speaker 2: the world. I mean, he's the strongest wading in a
- 7:32Speaker 2: world war. Today is just distractions going and I think
- 7:38Speaker 2: he's the settle.
- 7:41Speaker 1: All right, well you tell him. I'm not going to
- 7:42Speaker 1: tell him, But Ed Rollins great talking to you, great stuff.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Keep up with the good work. Thanks for being with
- 7:51Speaker 1: this week. Take care, uh hey, Coming up at twelve noon,
- 7:55Speaker 1: Buck Sexton play Travis. They do an excellent show every day.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It's from noon to three then three o'clock. He got
- 8:02Speaker 1: the most listened to radio show in America. Sean Hannity,
- 8:06Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly's on every night at six and now Jimmy
- 8:09Speaker 1: Fallon every night nine to midnight. Excellent show, very funny.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You love Jimmy Fayler. Would they say Fallon Jimmy Fayler,
- 8:18Speaker 1: Jimmy Fallon wouldn't be so hot. But it's Jimmy Fayler,
- 8:21Speaker 1: who's much funnier than Jimmy Fallon. Great comedian, great talk
- 8:24Speaker 1: show hosts. But it's every weeknight. You can hear it
- 8:27Speaker 1: tonight nine to midnight right here on seven to ten,
- 8:30Speaker 1: wor
