- Daniel: Clint, I don't know if Clint: Yeah. Daniel: you spend any time in the YouTube comment section. Clint: I I I do. Daniel: Yeah. It's a dark place. I'm not gonna lie to you. It's often filled with hateful slurs. Clint: Yeah, literally filled by Alabama fans and their hateful slurs. Daniel: Which is fun for no one, especially everyone who knows those people personally. But Clint: Correct. Daniel: as I'm perusing the YouTube comment section, I couldn't help but notice a recurring theme. And that theme is I don't pause if you're ready. I'll wait till you're ready. Clint: Okay, and now I'm ready. Daniel: We're idiots. You and I are idiots. That's the theme. That's Clint: Yah Bona Fide Morons. Daniel: the theme. Because we had the audacity to Clint: Daris. Daniel: say, and I want to be totally clear about what we said that Keelan Russell is the second best quarterback in the SEC, only behind Gunnar Stockton. That's what Clint: That's that's literally what we said. Daniel: we said. That is our actual opinion. Clint: And you all, Alabama fan, not you, Georgia fan, because you guys the best. You guys actually have eyeballs, you can see things. Alabama fan came out and said, How dare you after five games of a freshman year, you saying that he is the best quarterback in the entire conference after five games against three teams that taint rough to the passer worth a darn. Daniel: no. no. So I thought we'd revisit that, Clint. You've you've been Clint: Hm, that's wild to me. That's wild to me. Yeah, w well we need to. Daniel: doing the annoying thing that you do, which is doing research and finding facts. And I can't let Clint: I hate Daniel: me speak for everyone, first of all. When I say how dare you? How Clint: How dare I? Daniel: dare you do research and find facts? It's disgusting. It's disgusting. Clint: I would rather f it's you know, by and large, it's one of the worst things that you can do is try to see if your biases are actual in the world. or if you just feel things that you want to be true. You can't manifest no matter how much YouTube and TikTok tell you, you can't manifest things out of thin air. Like I know you believe that, people. Again, Alabama fan, but you can't actually do it. I've been researching because Daniel: Yeah. Yeah. Clint: Alabama said, Hey, how dare you Keelan Russell is the best freshman quarterback or best quarterback in the SEC. Here's why. And so I said Yeah. Daniel: By the way, by the way, let me get out ahead of this before we start. Clinton I both know that Keelan Russell is not a true freshman this year. He's red shirt freshmen don't exist Clint: Yeah we we know. We know that. Daniel: anymore, but he is a red shirt freshman quarterback. Okay, I know he's it says sophomore on his little thing. That's fine. He's a Clint: First year starter. Okay. Daniel: first year starter. He is a he was not good enough to unseat. Your quarterback last year, Alabama fans, would you like to chat about that? Clint: And and this actually I'm I'm glad you said because this goes into my what I did because every single Alabama fan says fr they keep on you that freshman, freshman, first year, first year, first year, f okay, fine. So I went down this path with you guys. And I just said I went apples to oranges in your favor because it's a second year in the system for this cat. And I just said, where does he rank? Where does he come rank against actual freshmen? True guys who just came in as ac okay. And here's what I discovered. I'm gonna tell you a couple of names and where he ranks statistically on a scale if he has a whole season. So if you take what is current production. Okay. Daniel: So you're extrapolating his five games, which if I'm understanding you correctly, we only have five games of evidence to prove that he's the best quarterback in the SEC? Clint: Literally only five. Daniel: Okay, great. so in if you extrapolate those five games into a whole season and you compile a statistical profile, wh what neighborhood is he in? Is he buying a home in the up? Upper East Side? Is he, you know, in like a midtown condo? Like what neighborhood does he find himself moving into? That's what you're gonna tell us. Okay. Clint: That's what I'm gonna tell you. That's exactly right. Well, you might think to yourself, think of other phenoms that came in were very mobile and had incredible offenses. And you might say, Trevor Lawrence. Well, Trevor Lawrence is on pace to have better touchdown throwing and about the same yardage, and he missed, or he didn't get to start until about four or five games into the season, his first year, because injury took that. Okay, so That's one. CJ Stroud, number two best f again, freshman 2021. CJ Stroud, 4,435 yards on the extrapolation. we're talking about Russell being probably eight hundred to a thousand yards short of that. Forty-four touchdowns. We're talking him being fourteen touchdowns short of that. That's number two. Okay, number three, Drake May, 4,300 yards passing. Nope. Again, now we're talking 800, Daniel: Not even close. Clint: not even close. 38 touchdowns. Again, 18. Okay, here we go. We're talking Sam Howell territory at North Carolina. The extrapolation of Keelan Russell is Sam Howell. Daniel: no. The comp is Sam Howell? Clint: That that's the statistical comp that I'm trying to tell you is what he is most like. He is doing very well. Let me tell you. Okay. Daniel: Alabama fans, let me jump in here. How dare you, Clint? How dare you do research? It's disgusting. It's despicable what you're trying to do to this young man by doing Clint: Yeah, I know. I know. I know. Daniel: research and saying he's having the same kind of season that Sam Howell had. Clint: And and by the way, when I say same as Sam Howe, Sam will have, if the extrapolation takes place, will have ten more touchdowns passing. So like Daniel: So 10. So like almost a touchdown a game better. Clint: That's what I'm trying to tell you. Daniel: So not the same. Clint: So it the yardage and percentage and all of that will be similar to a Sam Howell. All right. Daniel: no. Clint: Sam Darno, kind of the same feel, but it what he has right now is he has eleven passing touchdowns. Stroud, Jake May, a couple of had eighteen, nineteen, twenty yards touchdown passes at the same number of games as Russell. Rushing yardage as well, Drake may have more rushing yards. What I'm trying to tell you, friends, is that while he is good, this is not lighting the world on fire revolutionary generational talent. It's very good. Like Daniel: He's quite good. Against Mississippi State and Florida State. Kentucky, he's quite good. Half Clint: Quite good. Daniel: a game against Kentucky. Sorry, I stuttered. Yeah. Clint: and if you go look at those early season games, look how many passing attempts other quarterbacks not named Keelan Russell had. so when Gunnar Stockton again, when we were literally playing for close to half the games with our threes, he's still in firing bullets. Daniel: Well, Keelan Russell. You know, Calen De Boy, you gotta get him experience. The thing about Gunnar Clint: Sure. Daniel: Stockton is he's played in big games before. So you Clint: He's been here. Daniel: can get him out of the game or whatever. Keelan Russell, good lord, he needed it to improve. He needed that experience Clint: Have to. Daniel: to improve. Because you're desperately trying to get him ready for All right. I've been to the future clan. Clint: Okay, great. Daniel: I've come back. Alabama has won in a blowout. I'm talking blowout fashion. I'm talking Alabama has absolutely embarrassed the Georgia Bulldogs. Fourteen seventeen point win. I'm sure many things happened in that game. Tell me one thing that you are supremely confident happened in that game to result in Alabama winning in a blowout. Clint: Gunnar Stockton was lower than 60% completion. I I could say turnovers, I could say interceptions, I can say Keelan Russell had over 300 yards passing. But again, if we're talking blowout, it means that Gunner Stockton didn't have his A game and he was less couldn't keep up. That that's Daniel: Couldn't keep up. Could not keep up. Yep. Clint: I okay, fine. You want to talk about blowout? It's a blowout Gunnar Stockton was getting hurt hit on third and five. was being hurried, couldn't hit the deep ball to Talon Taylor, to Dandridge. Those weren't there. Isaiah Canyon wasn't there. And he was less than sixty percent, somewhere out fifty-five percent. our passing game wasn't it. Daniel: Alright. I'm gonna I've been to the future one more time. Maybe multiple more times, I'm not sure. This Clint: Okay. Who knows? Daniel: this one's more interesting. I've been to the future. The final score all I could see was the scoreboard. Couldn't see who was who, Clint. Clint: Sure. Sure. Daniel: I had a I had an obstructed view from Bryant Denny. Maybe the rain was just coming down in sheets so hard that I couldn't. Yeah it w that's it. That's it. I was Clint: You you were it it was a red eye that you took. You took a red eye and you were just you were just in the stands and you were one eyed. You you had only one eye Daniel: Fighting for my life. I was fighting for my life. I saw the scoreboard, Clint. The score on the scoreboard was forty five to forty two. Who wins the game and how confident are you in who w won that game? Clint: That I'm confident Georgia wins. I am confident George. If it's 45, 42, Daniel: like what's a percentage? What's a percentage? Clint: 65%, 68% that we win that game. I'm supremely confident. If it Daniel: A shootout. A legit Big twelve shootout. Clint: if you want to get in a shootout, because here here's what that means. That means that Gunnar Stockton isn't only being effective and big play. It means our running game has taken over as well. And it means that one drive was the difference. This is Ole Miss at our place last year, Daniel. That's what you just described. And at the end of the day, I trust our defense to get one freaking stop. And our offense to have one death march. Daniel: Ooh. Okay. I like it. What is I've not been to the future for this one. What Clint: Okay. Daniel: is the maximum amount of points that Georgia could get down in this game and you think they could still win the game? Clint: I I I'm an idiot. Okay, can I just can I just state that for the record? Let me look at let me Daniel: Yeah, that's what hold on, let me check the comments. Let me go down let me scroll down the Yes. Yes, we have confirmed that. How first of all, how dare you? How Clint: Alright, I'm I'm an idiot. I know. Daniel: dare you? Clint: Alabama fans, you guys are so fun. Daniel: You're the best. Clint: You're the best. Bigoted, racist best. I I I think if we're down twenty-one. It sucks. I got some nausea. I'm not feeling good. Daniel: Yeah. we punched through a wall for sure. Yeah. Clint: But I still believe we can come back. Again, I believe in second half defense, and I believe in in doing that. I believe in this has been a recipe before for Georgia in these games. We just happen to have a far better quarterback than we have under Carson Beck in the same situation, a far better Daniel: That is correct. Clint: offensive line, a far better better receiving core, a far better tight end core, a lot not including Brock Bowers. But We just have better people and better systems on offense. Twenty-one points, I bel again, I still believe in this defense, turning it around at some point and getting stops when needed. I don't think that Alabama's just going to continue. They might get 21 in the first quarter. I've already said that. Again, it's happened before, I remember distinctly. Freaking left tackle screen into the boundary, five yards off the freaking end zone. What in the world's going on? Anyway, I digress. But I believe in this offense so much. So 21 points, I I still I'm not saying, well, there goes the game. I still go, okay, this is gonna suck and I hate my life. It's gonna be a four quarter battle. Let's get after it, but we're in it. Daniel: Alabama fans just yelling into their keyboards. That's not how typing works, by the way, Alabama fans, but you'll figure it out. You'll get there. Yelling into their keyboards saying, How could you possibly think if Georgia gets down twenty one points in mighty Tuscaloosa they have a chance to come back? It's probably because he remembers in twenty twenty four when Georgia got down by twenty one points Clint: There it is. Daniel: and then came all the way back and lost On a miraculous Ryan Coleman Williams play, which he was just Ryan Williams at the time. There's no Coleman. He had not gotten married Clint: It was. There was none. Daniel: yet. and so he was not hadn't hyphenated his last name. Clint: He can't get married, he's still a minor, from what I understand. Daniel: but that is true. They did do that. And this year they have a better quarterback than that. First of all, how dare us to say that Gunnar Stockton's better than Carson Beck? But you know, we're just that big of idiots. Clint: Right. Radiots. Daniel: They have a bit they have a better quarterback, they have a better team, they have a much better offense than Clint: Yep. Yeah. Daniel: they did in twenty twenty four. and they already came back from that kind of a deficit. That's not Meanwhile, if Alabama were to get down by say twenty one points or Clint: no. Daniel: something similar, like they did in the SEC championship game last year, Clint: Uh-huh. What happened? Daniel: they would just get the life choked out of them because Calen DeBore's not a real coach. Clint: He's very good at getting quarterbacks in position to have success. I've stopped Daniel: Okay. Clint: my I've stopped my statements. Daniel: that's all there is to coaching though. I'm i if I'm understanding correctly. If Clint: If it was, yeah, if it was, he would be the best coach in college football. Daniel: That's right, he would have been a good hire three years ago. But he was a bad hire. And Alabama fans Clint: Forty the Daniel: know it deeply. Clint: The worst defense you've had in six years. The worst defense you've had in a decade. Daniel: Yeah, and it only gets worse from here. But we'll be fine. Go off. he's Clint. I'm Daniel. if you're new to Talking Dogs, first of all, thanks so much for being here.
