Thunder Host Heat on New Year's Eve | Oklahoma City Thunder News
The NBA just dropped the 2026-27 schedule, and Oklahoma City’s got a fireworks-filled New Year’s Eve showdown: host the Miami Heat on Dec. 31 at 7 PM CT. This clash pits two MVPs against each other — Giannis Antetokounmpo, fresh off his move to Miami after 13 Bucks seasons, versus OKC’s core of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams, who are favorites to hoist the title. It’s not just basketball — it’s a festive tradition with Giannis making his only stop in OKC this year, ringing in the new year with a bang before midnight.
