- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Jadge nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And welcome to another episode a Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 2: First off, thank you, especially if you've been rating and
- 0:11Speaker 2: putting your comments in on the different episodes. That goes
- 0:13Speaker 2: a long way, so huge shout up for you. If
- 0:16Speaker 2: you've been listening for a while, I will say right
- 0:18Speaker 2: off the bat, I am salty after yesterday's event.
- 0:21Speaker 1: What happened? Oh? Also, if you don't know what the
- 0:23Speaker 1: event was, what was it? Gotty?
- 0:24Speaker 2: So we were doing a whole Hillary Duff like giveaway.
- 0:26Speaker 2: We went to this awesome place called the Candlepoor. And wait,
- 0:30Speaker 2: this is kind of cool because they have the Candlepoor
- 0:34Speaker 2: up in like Atlanta, right they have I'm pretty sure.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Let me look up the locations because it's a franchise.
- 0:38Speaker 1: There's three in Tampa. They started in Tampa.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Okay, caause gotcha because that's how we got tied in.
- 0:44Speaker 2: So like a couple months ago, Abby got a candle
- 0:48Speaker 2: from the Candle Poor.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It's somebody that knew you from when you're up in Atlanta.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yes, the general manager of the Hyde Park location was
- 0:54Speaker 1: a Birt Show listener, which was the show that I
- 0:56Speaker 1: was on back in Atlanta, which now doesn't exist because
- 0:59Speaker 1: my boss right, and so I came down here and
- 1:02Speaker 1: they reached out to me back in April and they
- 1:04Speaker 1: were like, hey, come like do a not an event,
- 1:07Speaker 1: come just like make a candle and like bring a friend.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And so I brought my friend Taylor, and I made
- 1:11Speaker 1: an orange blossom candle to signify the start of my
- 1:14Speaker 1: Florida era again because orange is Florida all the things.
- 1:17Speaker 3: And it is so nice.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I mean, like, that's why I liked yesterday and this
- 1:20Speaker 2: is it does tie in because we were giving away
- 1:23Speaker 2: Hillary Duff tickets were at this new spot that's not
- 1:25Speaker 2: new but new for me, the candle poor and Hyde Park,
- 1:28Speaker 2: which is how'd you explain Hyde Park?
- 1:30Speaker 3: It's pretty, it's I feel like it's bougie.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's I feel like every major city has the bougie
- 1:35Speaker 1: shopping center. Hyde Park is the bougie shopping center of Tampa.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Think Winter Park in Orlando, Think Buckhead Village in Atlanta,
- 1:45Speaker 1: Think the Saint John's Town Center in Jacksonville. I'm trying
- 1:48Speaker 1: to think of all the people that like follow us,
- 1:50Speaker 1: think that's what's we have a big Dallas following two.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Oh, I'm not going to know the Dallas area.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Maybe not uptown, but you know what, I'm trying to somewhere.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Where you get your up and you want to go
- 2:01Speaker 2: take cute photos or get a cute dinner.
- 2:03Speaker 1: It's the bougie outdoor shopping mall.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It is beautiful.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I don't spend a lot of time in Hyde Park,
- 2:07Speaker 2: but I know of Hyde Park.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And yesterday, as we're getting ready to kick off the event,
- 2:13Speaker 2: I dressed appropriately. I wore some nice pants and a
- 2:16Speaker 2: collared shirt. I know how to act in these places, okay.
- 2:22Speaker 2: And as soon as I walk up to our we
- 2:24Speaker 2: have our promotions team out there.
- 2:26Speaker 3: They got the tent and the table, and the first
- 2:29Speaker 3: thing that they greet.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Me with is, hey, we had the speaker, but we
- 2:33Speaker 2: were warned not to give you the.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Mic Oh my god, what I said, Hold the what
- 2:39Speaker 1: the That's so funny.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And then it got even shadier because one of our people,
- 2:43Speaker 2: one of our heads of the promotion seam, is like,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I can't tell you who said that, but they told
- 2:47Speaker 2: me not to give you the microphone. And I was
- 2:50Speaker 2: so distract I was like, wait a second. First off, one,
- 2:53Speaker 2: you're not wrong, because every time they see me on
- 2:55Speaker 2: the microphone at like we'll go to car dealership.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and I act a fool.
- 3:00Speaker 1: But that's the right environment for it. Like when I
- 3:02Speaker 1: go to the car dealerships, I'm so out of my element.
- 3:04Speaker 1: And if you're like abby, what are you guys even
- 3:06Speaker 1: talking about? In radio, you do these things called remotes
- 3:09Speaker 1: where you'll set up a big tent, it says Magic
- 3:11Speaker 1: ninety four nine. You go meet listeners and you hang out,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and sometimes you need to, like I don't know, do
- 3:16Speaker 1: some crowd service. And going to a dealership is not
- 3:21Speaker 1: my element. I go there, I'm like, just buy your car,
- 3:24Speaker 1: come here, you want to enjoy it.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Where I go in there and I literally will go
- 3:27Speaker 2: in the waiting areas people are like getting their oil
- 3:29Speaker 2: change and they're just trying to look at their phone
- 3:31Speaker 2: for a little bit, and I'm like, good morning everyone,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and I start giving out prizes and I make it
- 3:36Speaker 2: a whole I haven't always done that, but I've done
- 3:38Speaker 2: it recently and it's gone very well because sometimes people
- 3:41Speaker 2: don't want to be bothered, but then all of a
- 3:42Speaker 2: sudden they realize they do because we're giving out some
- 3:44Speaker 2: dope stuff like yetti's and stuff.
- 3:46Speaker 3: So I make it a whole or deal.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So they've seen that over the past couple of months
- 3:49Speaker 2: where I get on the microphone and I'm yelling and
- 3:51Speaker 2: I'm singing, and we've turned it into like a club.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Outside of a car dealership.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But as I walked up yesterday and they told me
- 3:58Speaker 2: that I was banned on the microphone, I got so
- 4:00Speaker 2: offended because I was like, wait a second, you all
- 4:03Speaker 2: think that I don't have the spatial awareness to know
- 4:07Speaker 2: that there's a time and a place for everything.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I know that you don't have the spatial awareness. I'm
- 4:12Speaker 1: locked in a room with you for five hours a day.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Ah, well, then I'm glad we could talk about this.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, the camblepour Is is a chic, classy environment.
- 4:22Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I would have.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Known that, though I wouldn't have been up on the
- 4:26Speaker 2: mic yelling like my normal one two. I would have
- 4:30Speaker 2: known to keep it a little more calm demule.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Also, the same guy that was cat calling our sales
- 4:36Speaker 1: team yesterday in the sales.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Meeting, that's very true. That is very true.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Again time it's like I have so much spatial awareness.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm like, do you wait?
- 4:46Speaker 2: What?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Wha what?
- 4:47Speaker 2: What I would say when I know the environment like
- 4:49Speaker 2: I felt like yesterday's environment in the sales room.
- 4:52Speaker 1: They're warming up to us. I will say the first
- 4:54Speaker 1: couple of weeks, I was trying to do the same thing,
- 4:56Speaker 1: like make it a more like light hearted environment in
- 4:58Speaker 1: the sales meetings, and it was just like such a
- 5:01Speaker 1: tough crowd. I feel like they are coming around.
- 5:04Speaker 3: That's what I like.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I literally feel like and I would fight for this,
- 5:06Speaker 2: but you need that if you're gonna meet every week
- 5:09Speaker 2: and it's like watching paint dry, yeah, then have something
- 5:12Speaker 2: that makes it more entertaining.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And they are judging it up with their chat you
- 5:15Speaker 1: b tai videos. I feel like we're watching those fruit dramas.
- 5:19Speaker 1: When have you seen those on TikTok?
- 5:21Speaker 3: I think I have where they.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, our sales team does a meeting every Monday and
- 5:26Speaker 1: we go to show face and like I also just
- 5:28Speaker 1: like like touching base with everybody, yes, because otherwise we
- 5:32Speaker 1: get siloed into this room and then we really don't
- 5:34Speaker 1: see people for the rest of the week. So I
- 5:37Speaker 1: like going on Monday to be like, hey, by the way,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we're still here.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Give us money, Yeah, we still work for you.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But also like you know, touch base with everyone and
- 5:44Speaker 1: you know, I like being a part of an office environment.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't like those environments where it's so stale.
- 5:49Speaker 2: And I'm not saying, especially if we have anybody on
- 5:51Speaker 2: the team that listens to this podcast, I'm not.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Saying that you're stale.
- 5:54Speaker 2: It's gotten less stale, but those kinds of meetings typically are.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And so when I come in, I like to have
- 5:58Speaker 2: a little bit more fun with it, like lighten up, Like, yes,
- 6:00Speaker 2: we're talking numbers, but like lighten up, not everything. So
- 6:03Speaker 2: maybe that's why I'm in this position and not over
- 6:05Speaker 2: on that side of the building.
- 6:06Speaker 1: The thing is, everything is so serious over there.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, they're like, if we don't make numbers,
- 6:09Speaker 2: well everyone's gonna lose their job. Oh right, So true,
- 6:12Speaker 2: But that was not what I was going to go
- 6:13Speaker 2: in with yesterday. As I walked up to the beautiful
- 6:16Speaker 2: candle floor and.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Hyde park, you're gonna start reciting haikus.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Well, I was gonna at least just talk to people
- 6:21Speaker 2: in a friendly way, not get on the microphone and
- 6:23Speaker 2: start rapping like my I was just taking aback. And
- 6:26Speaker 2: now I'm on a mission to find out who gave
- 6:28Speaker 2: that warning.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I wonder, who do you think it is.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Well, at first I thought it was our promotions like
- 6:35Speaker 2: director Mike.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I was like, Mike or.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Dan, I don't think maybe it was I think it
- 6:40Speaker 1: was Domingo.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Was it Damn?
- 6:42Speaker 1: I feel like it was.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Because here's what I thought. Okay, really, here's what okay.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I did think.
- 6:46Speaker 2: At one point I thought it was you, Abby. I
- 6:47Speaker 2: was like, didn't Abby give him a warning? I was like, no,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I don't have that kind of poll.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yes, you too. I think you actually have the most poll.
- 6:55Speaker 2: If you go to anybody in this building and you're like,
- 6:57Speaker 2: because you worked closely with, like the closest with me,
- 7:00Speaker 2: so whatever you say, they're gonna be like, got it?
- 7:02Speaker 3: M hm yep. That's what I means.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I can confidently say I said nothing to the promotions team.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I wasn't even aware that a microphone was an option.
- 7:10Speaker 2: See, that's what I oh, it could be Dan because
- 7:14Speaker 2: I asked Mike and Mike said, white what.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't think it's Dan. I feel like Dan. Dan's
- 7:19Speaker 1: got enough going on. But I also feel like Mike's
- 7:22Speaker 1: got enough going.
- 7:23Speaker 2: But he was the only other one there, Like we
- 7:25Speaker 2: had our promotions director Mike was there and Mike. I
- 7:29Speaker 2: literally I said it to him. I was like, did
- 7:30Speaker 2: you warn them not to give me the mike for Mike?
- 7:34Speaker 2: And He's like, no, I have no idea what you're
- 7:35Speaker 2: talking about. And then our other promotions person, Heather, she
- 7:38Speaker 2: was the one that told me that somebody said something,
- 7:39Speaker 2: but she's not allowed to say, so it can't be her.
- 7:42Speaker 3: The only other person that could be is Dan.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Who does Heather report to Mike? Should we is Dan here?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Should we bring Dan Domingo in? He did not want
- 7:49Speaker 1: to be on the podcast Dan or Dimingo? I definitely
- 7:51Speaker 1: don't think he wants to. We could ask let's do
- 7:54Speaker 1: you have Dan's number? Oh wait, we both have dance number.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I will ask him right now.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Text Dan and tell him to get in this when
- 8:00Speaker 1: he comes in here. Oh my god, let's figure let's
- 8:02Speaker 1: let's get to the.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Bottom of this, Jesus, because that would make more sense.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And I, honestly, I wouldn't be offended if it was Dan,
- 8:09Speaker 2: because if he's seen me in certain environments where I'm
- 8:11Speaker 2: wowed and out and acting in the pool, granted, you
- 8:14Speaker 2: know what.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But I thought we did our jobs perfectly yesterday, like
- 8:16Speaker 1: we were mingling with people like, I don't think the
- 8:18Speaker 1: candlepoor even needed a microphone.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Oh no, I thought that was perfect. Yeah, I would
- 8:22Speaker 2: have understood that too. I think that's the part that
- 8:24Speaker 2: I was offended by. I was like, you all really
- 8:26Speaker 2: think I was gonna act like I normally act in
- 8:28Speaker 2: other spaces. Come on, now, give me some more credit.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I've done this long enough. I know the rooms and
- 8:34Speaker 2: I know a hyde party.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You say that a lot. Okay, Well, okay, you say
- 8:37Speaker 1: that you can read a room a lot. Okay, I cannot. Well,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you see me in multiple what rooms? Do you think
- 8:43Speaker 1: I have misread? Sometimes? You can't read this room?
- 8:46Speaker 3: Oh god, this room's tough.
- 8:48Speaker 1: This room is tough.
- 8:49Speaker 3: This is tough.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It's just me and Scotti in here for five hours
- 8:53Speaker 1: a day. This is a room.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I will say.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's kind of like I how I feel like on
- 8:59Speaker 2: my hamster in a cage?
- 9:01Speaker 1: You are and so you and I'm like, I'm like
- 9:04Speaker 1: the little what am I I don't even know? I'm
- 9:10Speaker 1: like not even a hamster. You're like a hamster in
- 9:12Speaker 1: a cage, and I'm like a fish.
- 9:14Speaker 2: That's like, where's the water. Well, this is what's crazy.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Like before you got into the studio Abbey. Yeah, when
- 9:22Speaker 2: I would be here alone, you want to talk about
- 9:25Speaker 2: acting a fool, because I'd keep myself entertained for five hours.
- 9:28Speaker 3: So like the songs that we play, I would be
- 9:30Speaker 3: this is so embarrassing.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I'd be singing and dancing and doing all this random crap,
- 9:35Speaker 2: just keeping the energy high.
- 9:37Speaker 3: So you know what, you.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Gotta give me some credit where credit is due.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I don't do any of that crap anymore. I don't.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Oh well, we won't. I'm barely sing in the studio.
- 9:48Speaker 1: We've come a long way.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Okay, we've come along.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Way that we have because I understand especially this is
- 9:54Speaker 2: such a weird job because if you come in at
- 9:55Speaker 2: six a m. Yeah, there's different types of energy. Yes,
- 9:59Speaker 2: I'm a wake up. As soon as I get my
- 10:01Speaker 2: shower in the morning, I am like a rocket off
- 10:04Speaker 2: to the moon until I finally lay my head back
- 10:05Speaker 2: down on that pillow. Yeah, We're very common in this industry.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Even other people that I've worked with, it takes them
- 10:11Speaker 2: like an hour to even like get to that point
- 10:13Speaker 2: where I'm like, I've been just sitting on the edge.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Of it all day, ready to go.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So I can understand that I understand and my friends,
- 10:22Speaker 2: let me take a step back. I understand that I
- 10:24Speaker 2: could be a lot to be around. And I've even
- 10:26Speaker 2: had friends that have warned their partners before they meet
- 10:30Speaker 2: me to say, hey, by the way, my best friend Scott,
- 10:35Speaker 2: he could be a lot. Yeah, you're going to experience that.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Prepare yourself. And I've learned from those moments. I try
- 10:43Speaker 2: not to come on as hot now.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you just have such a lovely natural personality.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And I mean that genuinely, like you're such like a
- 10:50Speaker 1: lovely person that sometimes you like it's like a parasite
- 10:54Speaker 1: takes over and I'm like, where did Scott go?
- 10:58Speaker 3: I want to know? So this is fun.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I like this because I like to know the perspective
- 11:02Speaker 2: that people see of me, because if I'm obviously me, like,
- 11:06Speaker 2: I don't see that perspective. Yeah, I don't see I
- 11:08Speaker 2: only see the mirror. But what are those things that
- 11:10Speaker 2: you're like, Oh, lord, the parasite is taken over.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Sometimes there's like different tells and it's I feel like
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's different every week, Like I feel like I see
- 11:21Speaker 1: a different Scott every week, Like some days it's Energizer, Bunner, Energizer,
- 11:26Speaker 1: Bunner energizer, Bunny Scott, and then it's like, Okay, I'm
- 11:31Speaker 1: gonna go sit in the office for thirty minutes.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Sometimes there's just like a gleam in your eye, Like
- 11:38Speaker 1: there's like a gleam where I'm like, oh no, the.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Parasite is like a crazed look.
- 11:42Speaker 1: There's like a look. There's like a your face will
- 11:44Speaker 1: get a little red. It's almost like you're holding your
- 11:46Speaker 1: breath a little bit. You get like a head twitch
- 11:49Speaker 1: where like you'll I feel like I'm describing a scene
- 11:53Speaker 1: from The Exorcist. You'll be like in the middle of tracking,
- 11:56Speaker 1: and then I wish we were recording because you'll be
- 11:59Speaker 1: like recording and then you'll like your body won't change,
- 12:03Speaker 1: but like your head will just like tilt, so you'll
- 12:05Speaker 1: be like Magic ninety four nine blah blah blah blah blah.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And then you'll go you know exactly what I'm talking about.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, he's gonna snap his neck
- 12:20Speaker 1: because so what I just did, you guys, is I'm
- 12:22Speaker 1: like looking towards a computer and I'm keeping my body
- 12:26Speaker 1: towards the computer. And then it's like your head snaps.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Like like when it snaps over.
- 12:30Speaker 1: To you, yes, and I'm like the Paris.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, that has to be a little freaky
- 12:36Speaker 2: to see. It's actually good to know because I don't
- 12:38Speaker 2: even think about it. I'm just like, so I don't know.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I feel like I go to another planet and it's
- 12:41Speaker 2: like all right, game time.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That's what I mean is like, so you're on Mars
- 12:45Speaker 1: and I'm on Earth, Like.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Hey, we're still over I'm still over here. That's so interesting.
- 12:50Speaker 3: See that makes it. Now. I'm very interested on the
- 12:52Speaker 3: other perspectives in this building.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I mean you could ask them, but I mean that's
- 12:56Speaker 1: a hard thing to do, is ask people what their
- 12:59Speaker 1: perception is of you. And I don't mean this in
- 13:01Speaker 1: a negative way, and I say this, I love all
- 13:03Speaker 1: of it, like I want to know because you don't
- 13:06Speaker 1: know what you don't know, Like I am somebody that's
- 13:07Speaker 1: and oh my gosh, our boss Jenna knows is so
- 13:09Speaker 1: much about me, Like I'm always looking to just become better.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, tell me the things that I'm missing, tell me
- 13:15Speaker 2: the things that I'm not doing well, tell me the
- 13:17Speaker 2: things that I could grow up on. Yeah, because if
- 13:18Speaker 2: I get that, well, then sweet, then we could succeed.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Then I could see the blind spots that I have
- 13:24Speaker 2: in my life. But some people would be worried to
- 13:26Speaker 2: tell me because I'm not somebody that gets offended by it.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm my god, tell me tell me at all. Yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 2: because I want to go in that direction.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Someone was so sensitive.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Well that's that's valid. That's valid. I am not that.
- 13:37Speaker 2: So if you ever see me snap my head, you
- 13:39Speaker 2: could say, literally, stop snapping your head.
- 13:41Speaker 3: You don't break your neck.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Well, I mean it's not like a head it's more
- 13:43Speaker 1: of like that's a tell, like you know what I mean.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It's not like, oh, he's snapping his head. You why
- 13:48Speaker 1: is he doing that. It's like that's one of the
- 13:50Speaker 1: tells where I'm like, oh, yeah, the parasite is back.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I will okay.
- 13:55Speaker 2: This is actually very interesting because you you see me
- 13:58Speaker 2: here and then we also have d is like we
- 14:00Speaker 2: went out on Friday, Yeah, and it's there.
- 14:02Speaker 3: There's stage Scott. I definitely know that version, and.
- 14:05Speaker 1: There's a there's a need for Stage Scott for sure,
- 14:08Speaker 1: Like you have a gear that is so helpful, helpful
- 14:11Speaker 1: for this job that I do not have, Like the
- 14:13Speaker 1: gear that you can shift into for going to sun
- 14:16Speaker 1: Toyota or for getting up on a stage, like that's
- 14:20Speaker 1: a gear that we need. But like sometimes the parasite
- 14:25Speaker 1: does take over a little bit too much. Like for example,
- 14:27Speaker 1: when we were at Janis Live and we both had
- 14:30Speaker 1: to like get up and do the crowd situation. I'm
- 14:33Speaker 1: just like, I'm like your bottle girl next to you
- 14:35Speaker 1: being like, okay, hey, I'm over here, where's my mic?
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 14:40Speaker 2: I was hoping that they would give you a mic. Yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 2: And I was like, damn it worth because I thought
- 14:44Speaker 2: about that afterwards. I was like, shit, yeah, I got
- 14:46Speaker 2: too deep into it.
- 14:47Speaker 1: So then I look dumb or like like you, it's
- 14:51Speaker 1: good that you can go to that place, but sometimes
- 14:53Speaker 1: I feel like you're in and I don't want to
- 14:54Speaker 1: compare it to like get out, like the sunken place,
- 14:58Speaker 1: but it's almost like you're so far in that I'm like,
- 15:01Speaker 1: how do I get them back out?
- 15:02Speaker 3: Bring them back.
- 15:03Speaker 1: To bring him back?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's about well.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I mean you have the opportunity again, like I don't
- 15:07Speaker 2: get offended by it. Yeah, So like, hey, by the way,
- 15:10Speaker 2: it's a lot, yeah, come back to earth.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But I also don't know you well enough. I'm like,
- 15:15Speaker 1: maybe that is just you. Do you know what I mean?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Like I don't want to look you in the eye
- 15:18Speaker 1: and be like stop being yourself.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean?
- 15:20Speaker 1: Like what an asshole thing to say.
- 15:21Speaker 2: No, I think it's like that's like the teamwork side
- 15:25Speaker 2: of it of yeah, hey boom boom boom. I need
- 15:28Speaker 2: a little bit of this, like this is where I am,
- 15:30Speaker 2: because then I could balance out.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 2: But that's the part because I've and I was thinking
- 15:33Speaker 2: about this a lot, is like I've done this solo
- 15:35Speaker 2: for so long. Yeah, that you get used to it,
- 15:38Speaker 2: so you have your routine, you have your way of
- 15:40Speaker 2: going about it, you have the things that you know
- 15:41Speaker 2: work even in this studio, like even as I'm doing breaks,
- 15:45Speaker 2: like I'm like, oh my god, like I I'm so
- 15:47Speaker 2: used to doing a break alone. Now it's finding out
- 15:50Speaker 2: Oh wait, let's bring in the full picture of it.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Let's bring an Abby's voice to it. Let's make sure
- 15:55Speaker 2: that you get to really showcase who you are, because
- 15:58Speaker 2: that's what this needs. And the same goes for the
- 16:01Speaker 2: stage stuff, where it's yeah, I've done it for so
- 16:03Speaker 2: long solo, but that's now evolved. So now it was
- 16:07Speaker 2: finding the balance of how do we have me do
- 16:11Speaker 2: me and you do you at the same time. Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 2: and not just a bottle girl. Yeah, I would like
- 16:15Speaker 2: to not be a bottle girl that you will not be.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, but no, I mean, but again, just kind
- 16:20Speaker 1: of like what I said, I don't know what your
- 16:21Speaker 1: baseline is, and I think we're both trying to figure out,
- 16:23Speaker 1: like what is what's like everyone's normal? Like for me,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I feel like I'm not in my normal state. Like
- 16:29Speaker 1: different people bring out different things, and I feel like
- 16:32Speaker 1: I have geared so much into black Cat Abbey, which
- 16:36Speaker 1: is fun every now and then, but like I'm not
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm like a black cat with white.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Paws, you know what I mean. Yeah, they still some
- 16:42Speaker 3: light to you.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, Domingo Domingo's on the line.
- 16:47Speaker 3: No, I got to get Domingo on the line to actually.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Did Domingo answer.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest. I didn't text Domingo yet.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Text Domingo. Domingo, by the way, is Dan. I know
- 16:55Speaker 1: we keep switching between Dan and Domingo. Dan is the
- 16:58Speaker 1: same person as Domingo.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask him if he's in the office to
- 17:01Speaker 2: see what does this even mean?
- 17:03Speaker 1: Disillusion someone just comments on my base on Baeschort post
- 17:05Speaker 1: this is pure disillusion.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Disillusion What does that mean that I have no idea
- 17:11Speaker 2: you might have hit troll Instagram. I hope people are
- 17:14Speaker 2: taking your your Instagram seriously, I think I hope people
- 17:17Speaker 2: are still like reaching out to the people that you
- 17:19Speaker 2: post on it. So side tangent Abby's Instagram based.
- 17:22Speaker 1: On Bashort is on the Shore my new side project.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Which has done really well.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I think that's gone a lot of recognition from people
- 17:28Speaker 2: that I don't necessarily think you're planning on running into.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I was not expecting it to become what it's becoming.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Like I think I've said this on the podcast before,
- 17:38Speaker 1: Like I get recognized from base on Bay Short more
- 17:40Speaker 1: than I ever got recognized for The Bird Show, which
- 17:42Speaker 1: is so weird because it's not like a mask, like
- 17:44Speaker 1: a huge following for base on Bay Short, like most
- 17:46Speaker 1: of my followers are from the Bird Show. But yeah, I.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Think it's cool because it could be something that turns
- 17:53Speaker 2: really big, really quick.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Well that would be nice.
- 17:55Speaker 3: I mean, it would be really helpful for you.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I have to I have to get a little bit ballsier.
- 17:59Speaker 1: See this is where I need a parasite for my
- 18:01Speaker 1: own brain. Where I need to have the confidence to
- 18:03Speaker 1: approach people on Bay Shore, whereas like I'm doing a
- 18:05Speaker 1: lot of like pre planned setups.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Oh gotcha, just walking up randomly.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I wish I had the confidence to get more
- 18:12Speaker 1: reps in because I would like to post more. Like
- 18:14Speaker 1: I feel like I only post like once a week.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I would like to.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Post every single day because then it could really take off. Yeah,
- 18:18Speaker 2: there's a guy we were talking to yesterday. I do
- 18:20Speaker 2: a slideshow on like their TV channel, Florida for Real,
- 18:24Speaker 2: and we were talking to this influencer and all he does,
- 18:27Speaker 2: and you might have seen him on your for you page,
- 18:29Speaker 2: he just cheers his people. All he does is hold
- 18:32Speaker 2: Maybe you've seen this guy. He just holds up his
- 18:34Speaker 2: cup and he walks around, let's say like Disney, and
- 18:36Speaker 2: you'll say cheers and he just cheers them and the
- 18:39Speaker 2: people freak out. They love it. It is so simple,
- 18:42Speaker 2: but it has now become his full time job. It's insane.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It's just seemed cheers just saying.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I think he goes by Marseille m A R.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Marseille as or c AI something like that.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Google him later.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's what I say for that is like
- 19:00Speaker 2: that could be because you're based on Base Shore. It
- 19:02Speaker 2: is so much more work than saying cheers uh huh.
- 19:05Speaker 2: But it could be something that takes you to a
- 19:07Speaker 2: whole new level for you should go out well, like
- 19:11Speaker 2: to these like run clubs, like people were people actually
- 19:13Speaker 2: want to be approached.
- 19:14Speaker 3: I'd say it would be like such a good actually
- 19:17Speaker 3: a great idea. Yeah, like people are already there.
- 19:19Speaker 2: They're not, I guess surprised by the walk up because
- 19:23Speaker 2: if you do it on Base Shore, that's where people
- 19:24Speaker 2: get really weird and they're like what do what?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't like about to get because I feel
- 19:28Speaker 1: bad disrupting somebody's routine and I don't take rejection well
- 19:33Speaker 1: like that, I'll ruminate on it for the rest of
- 19:36Speaker 1: the day, which I know this is probably a good
- 19:38Speaker 1: exercise in trying to get over that. So I'm trying
- 19:40Speaker 1: to figure out, like, do I need to get like
- 19:42Speaker 1: really day drunk one day?
- 19:44Speaker 2: Just actually the one time when we went out was
- 19:46Speaker 2: it before the after the derby and we're having some
- 19:49Speaker 2: drinks at the what is it?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Oh, because that's how I approached that one guy. Yeah, yes,
- 19:56Speaker 1: because I was we were hammered at Mandarin High and
- 19:59Speaker 1: so so I think that's also an excuse I've been
- 20:01Speaker 1: making for myself. I'm like, well, I'll go out next weekend,
- 20:04Speaker 1: look at a couple drinks, and I'll just find all hawkeys.
- 20:07Speaker 2: But if you go to these different clubs and you're like,
- 20:09Speaker 2: you could line up one a day because you know
- 20:11Speaker 2: they're active, you know they're working, Or if you just
- 20:13Speaker 2: do one that's actually running on base Shore, like I
- 20:15Speaker 2: know Off Balance does that and they go to Bayshore
- 20:17Speaker 2: and they'll run it.
- 20:18Speaker 3: You got like thirty dudes right there waiting for you.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You know, I need a shirt that just says hey.
- 20:23Speaker 3: But I will say the rejection side of it sucks.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Like that one as much as we say like getting
- 20:27Speaker 2: over it, like you just it's a muscle.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I mean I've been doing this for a long time
- 20:32Speaker 2: and just like going out to events and still asking
- 20:34Speaker 2: people to do random things like we did on Friday
- 20:36Speaker 2: where I'm asking people to sign up.
- 20:37Speaker 3: The rejection there still hurts. Yeah, it's still uncomfortable.
- 20:41Speaker 2: You still feel I think what that's the feeling like
- 20:43Speaker 2: you still feel like an idiot where you're like, all right,
- 20:45Speaker 2: I'll just I'll go jump off the roof.
- 20:48Speaker 3: That's cool, thank you.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Like yesterday when we were saying, hey, do you
- 20:51Speaker 1: want to sign up for these Hillary stuff tickets and
- 20:53Speaker 1: just people like not because I do this too, Like
- 20:55Speaker 1: if someone's approaching me, I'm like, don't even make eye contact.
- 20:57Speaker 1: But I'm like, hey, just if you want to, like,
- 21:00Speaker 1: you can sign up for these Hillary Dove tickets.
- 21:01Speaker 3: My thing is, I just I can't stand when people
- 21:03Speaker 3: don't even look at.
- 21:04Speaker 1: You, you know, But I get that because I'm like,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you don't know if you're about to get heckled.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Oh that's so true because people have ruined it where
- 21:10Speaker 2: it's like if you say hi and then they're gonna
- 21:12Speaker 2: literally follow you until you make the sale.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that part sucks.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Have you ever like fallen for one of those I
- 21:18Speaker 2: was just talking to friends about this and I will
- 21:19Speaker 2: reveal but one I'm not gonna say a scam, but
- 21:23Speaker 2: a solicitor or a what's the time share kind of deals?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Like did you ever buy into something that you regretted
- 21:30Speaker 2: buying into?
- 21:31Speaker 1: You're asking me this because I know you have fallen
- 21:33Speaker 1: for a time share scandal.
- 21:34Speaker 3: One hundred percent, But it's here I go. I'm gonna
- 21:36Speaker 3: go on their spiel. It's not a timeshare, but it's
- 21:39Speaker 3: totally a time share. It's totally a time It's like when.
- 21:42Speaker 1: People say it's not a pyramid scheme, it's an MLM.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Oh gosh, Well this one pains me because we're talking
- 21:49Speaker 2: about it this past weekend and everyone's like making fun
- 21:52Speaker 2: of people that fall for time shares and I'm literally like, yep,
- 21:55Speaker 2: me and my ex we fall for a time share
- 21:58Speaker 2: and we're still paying for it, and there's no way
- 22:00Speaker 2: to get out of it.
- 22:01Speaker 3: At least that's what I think.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yeah, And so it's every month I pay the stupid
- 22:04Speaker 2: tax is what our friends call it. Every month I
- 22:06Speaker 2: pay a stupid tax for falling for one of these things.
- 22:09Speaker 1: How much is the stupid tax?
- 22:10Speaker 3: Well, total, it's like three hundred a month.
- 22:12Speaker 2: We split it, okay, one fifty each, but I'm going
- 22:16Speaker 2: to sell you on it.
- 22:17Speaker 3: It's so if you vacational lot D.
- 22:22Speaker 1: It's this episode is sponsored by pyramids, by triangles.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Well, the goal is that you could vote vacation anywhere.
- 22:31Speaker 2: It's not like a timeshare is like you have one
- 22:32Speaker 2: place at vacation all the time.
- 22:34Speaker 3: That's not what this is. It's just you.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Could go anywhere, and they have resorts all over the world,
- 22:38Speaker 2: like and different, not like the same company for all
- 22:40Speaker 2: of them Airbnbs, hotels, cruises.
- 22:43Speaker 3: And if you go through this website, they could give
- 22:45Speaker 3: you big discounts.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 2: But what I realize now, as I'm a year or
- 22:49Speaker 2: two out of that, they sold us on the idea that.
- 22:52Speaker 3: We would vacation all the time.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And We're in our late twenties thirties, and I'm like,
- 22:57Speaker 2: damn it, we don't vacation ever, and so we don't
- 23:00Speaker 2: use this stupid vacation club. And so every single month
- 23:03Speaker 2: I paid the one hundred and fifty dollars stupid tax
- 23:05Speaker 2: because I fell for one of those scams.
- 23:07Speaker 1: How many vacations do you get out of it?
- 23:08Speaker 3: You can get as many as you won. I mean,
- 23:11Speaker 3: so technically you.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Buy like ten massive vacations. Okay, so it's like we
- 23:14Speaker 2: bought ten massive trips. So like the trips to like
- 23:17Speaker 2: a Fiji or a Hawaii where it would cost you
- 23:20Speaker 2: four thousand dollars to go stay with this vacation club triangles,
- 23:26Speaker 2: it should only cost like six or eight hundred dollars.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah, so if you use it, then it's so worth it.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't use it, and so I pay the stupid
- 23:35Speaker 2: tax where every month I'm just giving this company money
- 23:38Speaker 2: because up front, we paid the I don't know, let's
- 23:40Speaker 2: say twenty thousand dollars or something for this two I
- 23:44Speaker 2: don't know.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I think honestly it was more.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That's so cool.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Well we make payments. We didn't pay the whole thing payments,
- 23:49Speaker 2: which is even worse.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So it's thirty thousand. Let's say it's twenty five thousand
- 23:53Speaker 1: dollars total, and you split.
- 23:55Speaker 3: It with your with my ax.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Oh, there's a new hang on. I just got a
- 23:59Speaker 1: Nancy Guthrie up second, Nancy Guthrie Ransom note claim she died.
- 24:03Speaker 1: We know she's dead.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think you're gonna lie about that. Why
- 24:06Speaker 2: would you lie because then the search like, yeah, that's sad.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Anyway, So it's let's say it's thirteen thousand dollars between
- 24:12Speaker 1: you and your ex and you get ten vacations out
- 24:14Speaker 1: of it. Yeah, well I guess you would get five
- 24:16Speaker 1: vacations out of it.
- 24:17Speaker 2: So there, let's say, so think of like massive trips,
- 24:19Speaker 2: so you could take what they call this is so stupid,
- 24:22Speaker 2: So you.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Could where's our our theme music?
- 24:24Speaker 2: So you can take where you could do last minute calls,
- 24:27Speaker 2: which is you could take as many as you want.
- 24:29Speaker 2: So like this weekend, if I'm like, oh I'm feeling froggy,
- 24:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna go to Tennessee and get a resort for
- 24:32Speaker 2: super cheap.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Okay, how often am I doing that? Never?
- 24:35Speaker 2: So the real money get is, yes, I get five
- 24:39Speaker 2: massive trips. Since me and my ex were split, we
- 24:41Speaker 2: split the vacation club, so I could get five massive
- 24:44Speaker 2: trips that would cost me a lot more if I
- 24:46Speaker 2: truly used it.
- 24:47Speaker 3: That's how they sold us.
- 24:48Speaker 2: So like, yeah, I mean you could go on these trips,
- 24:50Speaker 2: but vacations inflations gonna keep getting more expensive, so we'll
- 24:55Speaker 2: keep it at the same price.
- 24:56Speaker 3: So stupid, even as I say.
- 24:58Speaker 1: It out loud, have you taken any of vacation not one?
- 25:01Speaker 1: How long you've been paying the STUPI attack probably over
- 25:03Speaker 1: a year. You gotta go on vacation, I know.
- 25:06Speaker 2: But that's where I'm like, it needs to be such
- 25:07Speaker 2: a big trip, and then I realize I don't. It's
- 25:10Speaker 2: like a for a week long you can take a
- 25:11Speaker 2: week long trip. How often are you taking a week
- 25:13Speaker 2: long trip?
- 25:14Speaker 1: Well, how often do you get to celebrate your four
- 25:16Speaker 1: month anniversary with your new girlfriend, We're going to Cabo.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Let's go to Cabo.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Honestly, Like, that's why, like the big pressure for this
- 25:23Speaker 2: winter is I want to use it so I make
- 25:24Speaker 2: it worth it. I'm like looking at somewhere like that's
- 25:27Speaker 2: why I said on a couple podcasts ago, I want
- 25:29Speaker 2: to go to Hawaii, so the stupid tax isn't so stupid.
- 25:32Speaker 1: That makes so much more sense because I'm like, why
- 25:33Speaker 1: are you gonna go to Hawaii?
- 25:34Speaker 2: Because it needs to be somewhere where the payment would
- 25:38Speaker 2: make sense.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Because I keep telling him, I'm like, don't go to Hawaii.
- 25:40Speaker 1: That's like a fifteen hour plane flight to go to
- 25:43Speaker 1: the Caribbean.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Well, but it's Hawaii, Hawaii.
- 25:46Speaker 1: You get to Hello, get late a week long.
- 25:51Speaker 2: So that's like I need to know the biggest and
- 25:53Speaker 2: best places so I could put it down like it's
- 25:56Speaker 2: a great thing to have options.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Okay, do you see like a website.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to pull that up and then oh yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 2: because it's a whole website, you can go all around
- 26:02Speaker 2: the world.
- 26:02Speaker 1: That's what I mean is like, pull up, let's see
- 26:04Speaker 1: what you can get for your winter. Vacation.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Just imagine anywhere anywhere I could find somewhere in So
- 26:09Speaker 2: that's where it's not really a time share.
- 26:11Speaker 3: So you could say, oh, well we should go to Italy. Okay,
- 26:13Speaker 3: I could pull up places in Italy.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I just need to book something or else I'm going
- 26:18Speaker 2: to continue to pay this stupid tax until I am
- 26:20Speaker 2: out of money completely, or we just give up on it.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Or you could just do like a bunch of little
- 26:24Speaker 1: weekend trips so it doesn't feel like, oh now I
- 26:27Speaker 1: have to take a massive chunk out of my PTO.
- 26:29Speaker 3: But if you do the weekend trips, that's the problem.
- 26:31Speaker 2: And this is where again you all could just learn
- 26:33Speaker 2: from my mistakes. You still pay. I still would pay,
- 26:37Speaker 2: but just not as much. So it's like if I
- 26:39Speaker 2: get a resort. Yes, so even though I pay, I
- 26:41Speaker 2: still pay. Yes, it's stupid. It's stupid. Okay, it's dumb.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Apparently I don't value money. That's I hope my dad
- 26:50Speaker 2: doesn't listen to this episode.
- 26:51Speaker 3: He'll be so pissed.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Vacation with your son.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I'm going to figure out I'm going to book the
- 26:57Speaker 2: next trip and it's gonna be somewhere super nice, and
- 27:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna be gone for a week, so I'm not
- 27:02Speaker 2: paying this stupid text.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Hey, all I know is me and you are going
- 27:05Speaker 1: on a cruise next next when is the Coulter Cruise?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Oh my, I think it's like March.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Okay, in March, we're going on a cruise, but it's
- 27:14Speaker 1: just the ferry between between Tampa and Saint Pete and
- 27:18Speaker 1: you're all invited on vacation with me and Scotti for
- 27:20Speaker 1: forty five minutes.
- 27:21Speaker 2: You're the first to know there's their actual plans for
- 27:23Speaker 2: twelve twenty seven.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Welcome to the Magic ninety four nine cruise ferry.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's gonna be so much more fun though than the
- 27:28Speaker 2: actual cruise. You get to bop around Tampa and Saint Pte.
- 27:30Speaker 1: No, really, Well, we're gonna go to good Night John Boy,
- 27:32Speaker 1: which is my favorite place owner.
- 27:33Speaker 2: And then you get to sleep in your own bed
- 27:34Speaker 2: at night unless you're vacation. He I think it's sleep
- 27:36Speaker 2: at a hotel, stay.
- 27:36Speaker 1: At the Moxie Hotel, just like you could on the
- 27:38Speaker 1: Trampa Bay Getaway, which by the way, has one week
- 27:41Speaker 1: left of sign ups.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Is there, Like I don't know, there's probably like two
- 27:44Speaker 3: spots left. Yeah, that's great.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Sign up people.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Get in on the get in while you can do
- 27:50Speaker 2: the Okay, you know what, that's how I'll end it.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Do that kind of trip. Don't do my stupid trips.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Don't do the.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Let's do seventy five to sign up.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah, see, I wish I was in three seventy five
- 28:00Speaker 3: to get to a trip.
- 28:01Speaker 1: And then it's eight hundred total to come make friends
- 28:04Speaker 1: with the girlies.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Oh that sounds amazing.
- 28:06Speaker 1: You get to meet Scott. So Scott, technically you are
- 28:08Speaker 1: on this vacation.
- 28:09Speaker 3: I am on that vacation. Yay. But it's right down
- 28:11Speaker 3: the street from me. It'stally right down the street, and
- 28:13Speaker 3: it's already sure hotel.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I can get you a hotel room.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Oh in that case, and.
- 28:17Speaker 1: For nine ninety nine you can room with Scott. For
- 28:21Speaker 1: ten ninety nine you can room Scott and his girlfriend. Wow.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Oh, if that's the guy, better get ten percent of
- 28:25Speaker 2: that cut. All right, that's in the description right there.
- 28:27Speaker 2: If you want to leave a rating and a review,
- 28:29Speaker 2: I'm gonna see. I think they put back up the
- 28:31Speaker 2: reviews on Spotify before we hop back over to see
- 28:35Speaker 2: if we got any cut.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Oh boy, who commented that why would they comment that
- 28:41Speaker 3: what interesting.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want to know that.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Oh no, it wasn't bad. It was just somebody like
- 28:47Speaker 2: it was. Okay, it was an ex's name.
- 28:51Speaker 1: On your last X. Yeah, what did they say about that?
- 28:55Speaker 3: I don't know. They just had the name.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Oh, that's just it's just the name.
- 28:57Speaker 3: It's just the name. I don't know.
- 28:58Speaker 2: What we talked about in the last episod about indicate that?
- 29:01Speaker 2: But interesting?
- 29:03Speaker 1: Oh oh this is interesting.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 29:07Speaker 2: So the one of the episodes walked in Oh on
- 29:09Speaker 2: Summer's most Popular film. Thank you for your comment, Holly,
- 29:13Speaker 2: who said this was an awesome episode.
- 29:16Speaker 3: You are really finding your way as a duo.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Oh thanks Holly. Is that your Holly?
- 29:22Speaker 3: No, that is Holly Martin.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Shout out Holly Martin.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Appreciate that comment and.
- 29:25Speaker 1: The best of all the Hollies.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Oh there's a Holly, Jolly.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Holly, Jolly Christmas.
- 29:30Speaker 3: There's Rick who said another scary movie was The Saw?
- 29:34Speaker 3: Did you ever watch a Saw? Movies? We're about to
- 29:36Speaker 3: hop on, but.
- 29:37Speaker 1: You know who's a big fan of Saws? My friend Rebecca.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Honestly, she loves Saw.
- 29:40Speaker 2: That's a movie that I judged for my entire life,
- 29:44Speaker 2: thinking I knew what it was like.
- 29:46Speaker 3: I will say this one of the best thrillers.
- 29:49Speaker 2: It is gory. If that's not your jam, then do
- 29:51Speaker 2: not watch Saul. But I honestly really enjoyed. I'm right
- 29:54Speaker 2: with your friend, Rebecca.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Our studio, Rebecca, Rebecca, Rebecca. I'm developing this thing where
- 29:59Speaker 1: you start combining more together.
- 30:00Speaker 3: It just makes it easier.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Our studio, our studio director Tommy is such a big Cinophile,
- 30:07Speaker 1: and he said Saw is like the best movie ever made.
- 30:09Speaker 3: It really is.
- 30:09Speaker 2: They didn't I guess they didn't market it like that
- 30:12Speaker 2: growing up. It just was told as it's going to
- 30:14Speaker 2: be terrifying, gory, one of the worst movie.
- 30:17Speaker 3: It's actually really good and all of them are really good.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes when the franchises go for too long, they
- 30:22Speaker 2: just fall off.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Not Saw. If you like good thrillers. Saw.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I know it's old, but it still lives up. Okay,
- 30:28Speaker 2: we got them into the studio. Okay, welcome Domingo ing Dan.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I was talking earlier on the podcast about something I
- 30:38Speaker 2: was really salty about at yesterday's event. As soon as
- 30:42Speaker 2: I walked up. Now, before I tell you what I heard,
- 30:46Speaker 2: this is a safe space, is it? Well, I'm not
- 30:49Speaker 2: gonna yell at them.
- 30:52Speaker 1: This is a quiet space, is what we're saying.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I just want you to be honest. You could tell
- 30:58Speaker 2: me straight up, you could tell me to my my Yesterday,
- 31:02Speaker 2: I walked up to the candlepoor and the first thing
- 31:04Speaker 2: that I was greeted with was someone telling me, Hey,
- 31:09Speaker 2: we have.
- 31:10Speaker 3: This speaker in the mic. Scott's not allowed on the mic.
- 31:13Speaker 3: I didn't know, Dan, you can be honest with me.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I think the quote was Scotty won't need a mic.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I was told that I wasn't allowed to have the mic,
- 31:24Speaker 2: which is fine, but we're talking out selling earlier our promotions,
- 31:29Speaker 2: like manager Heather was telling us that somebody told her
- 31:33Speaker 2: that and she wasn't allowed to reveal who. And I
- 31:36Speaker 2: was trying to narrow down. I said, Abby was at you,
- 31:38Speaker 2: and Abby.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Said twas not me. I didn't know there was going
- 31:41Speaker 1: to be a mic.
- 31:41Speaker 2: And then I asked Mike, and Mike looked at me
- 31:45Speaker 2: like he's never even heard that before. And so the
- 31:48Speaker 2: only other person there that would have had any say
- 31:52Speaker 2: in that matter would have been you, Dan, and you've.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Seen how I worked before.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Unless it was said earlier in the day in a
- 31:57Speaker 4: meeting with a lot of other people that oh, you
- 32:00Speaker 4: don't know about.
- 32:01Speaker 3: But I'm not saying I.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Remember about Scott's vocal range.
- 32:05Speaker 4: No, but there's meetings where we talk about upcoming events
- 32:10Speaker 4: and things that are going on, the expectations and what's
- 32:12Speaker 4: going to happen at those events. But it wasn't done
- 32:15Speaker 4: in a way which it was negative. You know, Hyde
- 32:18Speaker 4: Park is kind of a quiet area, and we were
- 32:21Speaker 4: told we had to keep our music kind of low.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Like respectful, and you know, it's funny.
- 32:27Speaker 4: There was another conversation we had in that meeting about
- 32:30Speaker 4: it was.
- 32:30Speaker 3: A meeting that went down.
- 32:32Speaker 1: There was a Scottie there, ai version of Scottie.
- 32:38Speaker 4: It was actually something kind of cool and it was
- 32:42Speaker 4: I was editing video for the World Cup, remember last
- 32:46Speaker 4: week first game at Rowdy's, and I thought it was
- 32:49Speaker 4: funny because I brought it up. There was a moment
- 32:52Speaker 4: where John Sending was on the mic and he hands
- 32:54Speaker 4: you the mic, but he was also had like a
- 32:58Speaker 4: lava leron, so he walks off frame and you are
- 33:02Speaker 4: just killing it being Scottie, you know. Yeah, version, it's
- 33:07Speaker 4: just like crazy and off mike you can hear John
- 33:10Speaker 4: Senning going holy and the other guy from the Rowdies,
- 33:15Speaker 4: I guessing or from the World Cup. Is like that
- 33:17Speaker 4: guy's really good. He's like the Tampa Bay hype man
- 33:22Speaker 4: for nothing, like like the two were having a conversation
- 33:25Speaker 4: about how good you were, so that conversation would happened,
- 33:29Speaker 4: and it's under that guise of hey, let's keep our
- 33:32Speaker 4: music down and Scotty doesn't need to be on a bike.
- 33:36Speaker 3: You know, like that was the conversation. Now that makes
- 33:39Speaker 3: a lot more sense.
- 33:40Speaker 1: There you go, you know what?
- 33:44Speaker 2: All love okay? Because I was like, y'all could tell me,
- 33:47Speaker 2: and that's what I was telling Aby. I was like
- 33:48Speaker 2: I could read a room. I'm not well, and then
- 33:50Speaker 2: we got into that whole thing. But I was like,
- 33:52Speaker 2: I'm not going to go into the hyde park and
- 33:54Speaker 2: just be doing my hooting and hollering like I normally.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Do at a son Toyota. We know that the verse.
- 34:01Speaker 4: When I had fueled the fire by amplifying it.
- 34:03Speaker 2: No, that makes a lot of sense, you know what,
- 34:05Speaker 2: hey in that case, and then I'm honored there you go, well,
- 34:08Speaker 2: thank you for clearing the air began it is mingo out.
- 34:12Speaker 1: To Mingo out. So we have that Scott immedia later right, Oh, that's.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Not on my invite. Oh cool, Thanks guys.
- 34:20Speaker 1: It was lost in the outlook
