- 0:55And the NFL regular season is over, gentlemen. It is done. We don't have to watch the Titans anymore
- 1:04until the fall, so that's fine. But moving on, it's the playoffs. Let's get into that. Let's get
- 1:14into picks for that. Last week, I ended up going 3-4 out of the straight up picks I had, but then
- 1:22I won a Parley that I gave out on the Seahawks game, essentially a Geno Smith Parley that we
- 1:31tweeted out, and that ended up winning, which helped me tremendously. So not too bad. I did lose
- 1:37my surefire, but we're fine. Not a big deal. Moving on, Chris, how did you do?
- 1:44Not good. They went 3-6, I believe. Also lost my surefire. The fucking, the jets, man. Like,
- 1:56every time I have a bet that just, not even on the jets, that just involves the jets, it loses.
- 2:03I don't know why I kept falling into their trap. I was seduced by them, but thank God,
- 2:11don't have to watch them, don't have to watch the Titans anymore. We actually get to watch
- 2:14good football teams every Sunday or every week, which is very exciting. I'm pretty
- 2:20pumped for the playoffs. It's always fun. So, yeah, ready to rock and roll, as the kids say.
- 2:30All right, John, how did you do?
- 2:31Wow, Chris, 3-6. Not very good. I went 4-7.
- 2:44All right, I see it. Not great with the straight-up bets, but I did hit a 1400 Parley on the
- 2:54Browns Ravens game, and I was kind of in the mindset of, okay, I could lose everything,
- 3:02and it wouldn't matter. You know what I mean? Yeah, sure. But I didn't. So, I won four more
- 3:11bets after that, which made for a pretty good weekend. Hit my surefire pick. Lines minus 2.5
- 3:17all day. Yeah, pretty good last week of the regular season. I wish my record really reflected it,
- 3:25but I'm ready to go 6-0 this week, if you know what I mean. So, yes, I know what you mean by
- 3:34going 6-0. You have to go 6-0. All right, moving on. Talking about the games, there's only six of
- 3:41them, so we're just going to talk about them all. We're going to have a pick for each one. I mean,
- 3:45it's one out of time. What am I going to do? Watch a game without a bet on it? It's not going to
- 3:52happen. All right, first game. Chargers, Texans in Houston, wild card, matchup, Texans at home,
- 4:02home dogs by three. You know what? I'll take this one first. So, both of these teams are
- 4:11a bit similar to each other, in my opinion. Both of them had a lot of traction at some point in the
- 4:19season, and then towards the end, it's just kind of fallen off a little bit. And the way that I see
- 4:26this matchup, I think it's the team that's the least injured. And for that reason, I'm taking the
- 4:34Chargers minus three here. Texans, I mean, they didn't limp into the playoffs, but I mean, they
- 4:41went 10 and 7. I don't know. Your division is so bad. I feel like it should have been an easier
- 4:51time for them. And not to mention, you know, they have two or three of their top receivers just out.
- 4:59So, it's tough to see the Texans staying competitive in this kind of matchup. I also give the Chargers
- 5:09kind of an edge when it comes to coaching. And it honestly kind of feels like the Texans last year,
- 5:16like the Texans last year were so hot. And, you know, they were picking two for CJ Stroud. And
- 5:26then they ended up winning a playoff game last year. Stopping after that. But I sort of see the
- 5:32similar way here with the Chargers. I mean, they got a new coach. He's competent. It seems that
- 5:41it seems that they are doing more with less this season in San Diego or Los Angeles.
- 5:50So, I mean, that's kind of all I got at the risk of sounding like an idiot. Chris, what do you have?
- 5:57I completely agree. I have the Chargers. I got a minus two and a half. I think they're just a better
- 6:06football team. I don't think the Texans offense is very good, dare I say, kind of bad. I know they're
- 6:15very injured. Like they're basically two of the best receivers. That's, I mean, that happens. But
- 6:22they're offensive line. Just not very good. Like just nothing like CJ Stroud, the sophomore slump hit
- 6:28big time. They're just not very good. I just don't see them being able to compete. Like, I don't think
- 6:34they're kind of keep up. I think the Chargers have really good defense. I think they're going to slow
- 6:38them down and they're going to be able to score points. I mean, Vlad Mcconkey is that guy. He is
- 6:46awesome. I think they score enough to just kind of, I don't want to say run away with it because I
- 6:53don't think the Chargers are all that good, but they're good enough to win this game by a touchdown,
- 7:00maybe a little bit less, but definitely enough to cover the two and a half. I like the Chargers.
- 7:05I don't know if y'all saw this. Jim Harbaugh remembers his own birth. How do you bet it gets
- 7:16a guy like that? Yeah, I can. Chargers minus two and a half all day.
- 7:25Sean, clean sweep. I'm debating it, but it's not my pick. I'm debating taking the Chargers
- 7:34two and a half, three, whatever it is. Check the Twitter for that one. I did find a stat for
- 7:42Jim Harbaugh as a road favorite is 19, seven and one against the spread. And Herbert is seven
- 7:50and one against the spread in his last eight as a road favorite. So yeah, check the Twitter for
- 7:56that one. But I like the under here under 43 and a half. The Texans have one of the worst
- 8:03offenses in the playoffs. They have not scored more than 23 points in their last five games.
- 8:12They've got some major red zone issues going five for 15 in the red zone.
- 8:22Chargers defense, they're primed. You know, they're getting back in the swing of things.
- 8:26They're shutting down teams in the red zone on third down.
- 8:29And both these teams, they play at slow pace, which keeps the clock moving. The Chargers like to
- 8:36be dominant with time possession with their run game, fewer possessions overall, less scoring
- 8:42opportunities. Neither offense has really been lightened it up as of late. You know,
- 8:50I think even I think this could just be grinded out ball, grinded out wild card.
- 8:54So even if this ends up 23-20, this under cash. So I think this has a this has all the signs of a
- 9:03low scoring defensive battle. So I'm going to take the under under 43 and a half.
- 9:10Okay, okay. I like that pick. I was debating that one. But then the Chargers look so nice to me.
- 9:17All right, next game, Saturday night, AFC North matchup, Steelers at the Ravens.
- 9:27Ravens in Baltimore, favored by nine and a half points currently. A big old spread.
- 9:34A big old spread. Chris, what do you think about this game?
- 9:37These two teams played not that long ago, and I took the under and it burned me. No one's accused
- 9:48me of being very smart. So I'm going to run it back. I've taken under 43 and a half.
- 9:53Divisional matchup in the playoffs. I mean, this is the third time these two teams have played.
- 9:59They know what the other team is going to run. So I think defense will be prepared.
- 10:04Ravens past defense has been, dare I say, like really fucking good since week 10,
- 10:13when they brought in Dean Pease, Titans legend, shout out. So yeah. And so I think
- 10:21they're going to put the clamps on just a Pittsburgh offense, especially a pass offense that has been
- 10:28very bad lately. I don't see the Steelers scoring enough points. I think the Ravens, they run Derek
- 10:34Henry until they can't anymore. I think they just kind of, they get a lead and they just grind it out.
- 10:41Yeah. Under 43 and a half AFC North football. Let's go. Will, what do you take?
- 10:46I was also debating the over under. It was just, there's just so many things to think about like
- 10:58Ravens are getting real hot towards the end of the regular season, really running the gauntlet there.
- 11:04And Steelers have just been losing steam, like the past couple of weeks, they just haven't been the
- 11:10same team. So I'm going to ride the under with you Chris under 43 and a half. It just,
- 11:18it's tough to see the Steelers putting up much of a fight here, especially against a team that is
- 11:29firing on all cylinders. And that's really all you need in the playoffs going in. So
- 11:35I can see this pick losing, but it would have to be like 35 to like 10. Like that's,
- 11:49that's, that's the score in my mind that I see happening. But it's such a big number. I don't
- 11:55want to bet the number either. So I'm taking the under, I'm taking under 43 and a half. John.
- 12:00Yeah. I'm going to, I'm going to take the Steelers here plus nine,
- 12:10which means I'm more betting on Mike Tomlin for the ability to cover the spread as an underdog,
- 12:17especially in divisional matchups. You know, since 2007, he is 38, 14 and two against the
- 12:26spread as a dog in AFC North games, including an impressive stat at 13, three and two against
- 12:36the spread against the Ravens. I mean, that's just not just that that's not just a trend. That's a
- 12:44consistent pattern of keeping games close when it matters. I think, you know, like we, we've discussed
- 12:54that Pittsburgh has been losing steam, but I think their defense is built to handle Lamar Jackson.
- 13:03Their numbers, they back it up. Jackson's two worst performances this season have come against
- 13:09the Steelers. And historically, they've given him more trouble than any other team. Even in their
- 13:15week 16 loss, that game was within a touchdown late in the fourth quarter of a thing before things,
- 13:22you know, kind of got out of hand. Yeah, they've struggled down the stretch. They've had a brutal
- 13:29schedule, tough road games, holding but holding the Bengals to 19 points in week 18. It's clear
- 13:39that this defense can still deliver. Baltimore has been rolling. AFC North games tend to stay tight.
- 13:47Asking the Ravens to cover nine feels like a lot, but it's not out of the question. I will give you
- 13:54that. But against Tomlin, who thrives in these situations, I'm going to go with the Steelers.
- 14:02They won't win outright. I expect the white Ravens to move on. But the Steelers, they've got enough
- 14:08grit and defensive power to keep it within a touchdown at least. So yeah, if you're betting
- 14:14on anything this week, bet on Tomlin's ability to keep it close. Ravens or Steelers plus nine.
- 14:22Okay, I like your reasons there. Thank you. I love the defense. Give us the defense. Okay, next
- 14:29game, first game on Sunday, Broncos Bills. Broncos beat the shit out of the Chiefs, who were playing
- 14:37nobody on the field, pretty much resting everyone. And then the Bills losing against the Patriots
- 14:45for the Titans to secure the number one pick. The Bills also not really playing anyone as well.
- 14:52But the Bills at home, they're favored by nine. Sean, you take the reins on this one first.
- 14:58All right, this this has points written all over it for me. Denver has gone over their total in
- 15:06seven or their last 10. Buffalo isn't that far behind seven and two and one in their last 10.
- 15:13Both teams are coming in hot. Denver to score 20 plus points in six straight games. Buffalo has hit
- 15:2130 and nine of their last 11. Even more impressive, the Bills have topped 40 and three of their last
- 15:29five. You know, Josh Allen being a big reason why that over feels like a strong play to me.
- 15:39But he's been he's been absolutely lethal out there. You know,
- 15:44man, the Broncos defense, they they were once like pretty, pretty good, like against the past,
- 15:54but they've been slipping. They're they're giving up, you know, 30 plus points to playoff caliber
- 16:01offenses. Non play. I mean, they give up 30 to the Bengals, they give up 30 to the Browns,
- 16:10they give up 30 to the Chargers. One of those teams is a playoff team.
- 16:16That's a bad sign when you're going to face the Buffalo Bills at the first round of the playoffs.
- 16:24You know, on the flip side, though, Denver's offense, you know, they're not.
- 16:30Bonix has been sharp, dude. He's been he's I wish I could take back the mean things we were saying
- 16:39about him earlier this season. But he is a rookie in a road playoff game. But I think this I think
- 16:47he's shown enough to contribute to the Broncos to put some points on the board.
- 16:55Especially in Buffalo's defense, they've been they've been looking a little vulnerable these
- 16:59last few weeks. But I'm hoping the lights aren't too bright on Bonix. But yeah, this this points
- 17:06to all fireworks for me over 47 and a half over 47, whatever. This feels very attainable.
- 17:14Take the over. Will, what you got? I wholeheartedly agree with you, Sean.
- 17:20At first, first glance, Broncos Bills, Bills are going to beat the shit out of the Broncos.
- 17:27And then I thought about it. Then I actually thought about it. Nine points. It's a lot of points.
- 17:32It's a playoffs. Broncos are a playoff team. Playoffs. Yes, playoffs.
- 17:41So here. I also look to the over. I mean, the Bills have just been unstoppable on offense.
- 17:51And the Broncos always seem I seem to find a way to really put up points, whether they win or lose.
- 18:00They're they're not losing by much, but they're they're winning by not much either. So
- 18:10over 47. That's the play. Keep it simple. It's Sunday. Let's have some fun points. Chris.
- 18:19Clayton Sweet over 46 and a half. There we go. The words right in my mouth. I mean, literally
- 18:26everything I have written down, both offenses are on fire. Sean Payton will find a way to kind of
- 18:33attack a Buffalo defense has been vulnerable. Buffalo scored 30 plus points and nine of the
- 18:38last 10 games where the starters have played. So it's literally just everything you guys have said.
- 18:42So nothing else to say over 46 and a half. Okay. All right. Next game. Packers Eagles
- 18:52afternoon slate. NFC matchup in Philadelphia Eagles sort of white lava hot.
- 19:02I think the last game they lost was to the commanders and then before that. Right.
- 19:08For that it was that's what hurts. It's got hurt. Yeah. Long time ago. Week 16. Two weeks.
- 19:17Yeah. No, no, wait. I mean, I was talking about their lot like a loss they had before that.
- 19:25Oh yeah. It's been a while. It's been a while.
- 19:27Quite a while.
- 19:31Philadelphia favored by four and a half. This one is a is a tough one to pick
- 19:37because it's like the Packers have been so good to me this season but the Eagles like I just feel
- 19:42like I've counted out the Eagles this entire season and it has bit me and kicked me and
- 19:48punched me in the ass each and every time and for that reason I will be taking Eagles minus four
- 19:54and a half here. I don't know if Jaylen Hurts is going to play and he's going to play. Yeah. He's
- 20:02probably yeah. He's probably going to end up playing the pack that Eagles are just such a
- 20:07better team like they're literally going to say one Barkley is going to destroy this this backfield.
- 20:14I I don't think I don't think the Packers can can compete. I'm going to be I'm going to be honest.
- 20:23I think the Eagles just have everything going for him right now. I'm taking the birds.
- 20:28Chris, what do you think? Packers plus four.
- 20:32I I think the Eagles are the better team. I just their offense sometimes man is infuriating to watch.
- 20:43They have all these weapons and sometimes it's they just can't figure it out.
- 20:49I think they'll figure it out enough to win four and a half feels like a lot. This the floor has
- 20:55a way in the playoffs of being just right there and just making a dumb mistake to lose by like three.
- 21:04And I think there's a good chance we see that again. Both teams love to run the football. So I
- 21:11think it's be a lower scoring game. Favors the dog Hurts. I mean he's been in concussion protocol
- 21:17two weeks. Maybe a little slow starting out. Maybe the Packers can kind of jump out to a lead.
- 21:23I just I just don't trust. I feel like a broker. I've said this multiple times this season and like
- 21:30you will it has come back to my me. They asked maybe I've just haven't learned my lesson. I feel
- 21:34like the Eagles just I don't know if there's something about them where it's like they should be.
- 21:40I mean they are very good but it doesn't. Yeah, this might not make sense. It doesn't feel like
- 21:46they're as good as their record says they are. Like sometimes I watch them like this isn't an
- 21:54elite team but sometimes they sometimes they get a click in. I just don't think they're going to
- 22:00have it click in early. I think the Packers keep it within the number and then the floor like I
- 22:05said will find a way probably to lose this game. I feel cool but I'm taking Packers plus four and
- 22:11a half. I think we're going to keep it close. Sean, what do you take? Yes, a if you guys remember
- 22:19a rematch from week one in Brazil when Jordan Love got a little banged up and guess what Jordan
- 22:27Love got a little banged up in week 18 and Malik Willis had to come back in but I am going with
- 22:34the Packers plus four and a half on the road in Philly. It feels like a solid play. I am going
- 22:42to get to this early with questions surrounding Jalen Hurtz status from his week 16 concussion.
- 22:51If Hurtz can't go, the slam will crash. So I'm going to make this I'm going to get to it while I
- 22:58can. Even if Hurtz has cleared, I think this is still the right play. We saw you know in week one
- 23:09the Packers they matched up pretty well against the Eagles in Brazil. Green Bay's offense is
- 23:18ranked higher than Philly's. Green Bay is ranked eighth and Philly is ranked 14th and their defense
- 23:26while not as dominant as the Eagles. They still have a top 10 unit but in the fact that Green Bay
- 23:34has played like they've played a tougher schedule than Philly. Like you said Philly does not it
- 23:42doesn't feel like they've earned all of these wins or whatever you said to still be here and for the
- 23:49Packers to have the record they have. That's pretty incredible. And I will say that you know the Packers
- 23:59they can hang tough. Of Green Bay's six losses this season only one of them they lost by five
- 24:07point more than five points and that came when the Detroit Lions beat them when love was banged up.
- 24:14I think this game will be a grind. This is one of the two most heavy run offense teams
- 24:25in the league. Keeping that clock moving, limiting big plays. Both defense is good. Green Bay balance
- 24:33attack gives them short to keep this within the numbers or dare I say even pull off the upset.
- 24:41But we'll see. I'm not obviously I'm not betting moneyline but we'll see. Keep an eye on hurts take
- 24:49the points. Packers plus four and a half. Okay next game Sunday night football. This one should be
- 25:00this one should be a doozy. It's the Manders and the Bucks. The Manders arguably probably the funnest
- 25:11or second most fun team this year in the NFL. You could put them out number one or number two
- 25:19just behind the Lions as ranked as my that's my fun team ranking fun to watch teams. That's
- 25:26that's a correct ranking. Yeah it's either one or two depending on the Lions are one but
- 25:34okay. Bucks are favored by three in Tampa Bay. Bucks perhaps lost some steam going into week 18.
- 25:46They needed that win against the Saints and I expected them to beat the shit out of the Saints.
- 25:53They did not. And then upon watching a different podcast they were like oh yeah the Bucks haven't
- 26:03won against anyone above 500 and this season and I was just like oh man I didn't even think about that.
- 26:12So instead of betting aside I'm taking the over bro it's Manders overs all fucking day
- 26:19over 50 and a half. Give me that all day. That's an easy easy play. Don't even care that it's 50.
- 26:27Let's have fun. It's Sunday night Sunday night football wild card weekend. Let's do it.
- 26:35I also think the Bucks can score a lot. They just had a little bit of a slump there. Baker is playing
- 26:40like a mad man. Maybe not. He needed to be a little bit more mad last week I guess. And the
- 26:48Manders are always such a fun team to watch. Sean what do you think about this game.
- 26:54Points. Points over 50 and a half. Both offenses firing on all cylinders. Both defense showing
- 27:03exploitable weak weaknesses. This over is crazy over. I don't even care that it's so high.
- 27:13You've got to bet this over. Bake show enjoying a career year. Jayden Daniels is having a
- 27:22revolutionary rookie season. The Manders ability to push the ball downfield aligns well with their
- 27:31defense that has been struggling to limit big plays. Tampa Bay's defense or secondary has been a
- 27:39problem allowing the seventh most completions of 20 plus yards and sitting 27th in opponent success
- 27:48rate per dropback. That's really bad. Especially against this Jayden Daniels offense. Injuries in
- 27:58the Bucks secondary only make it easier for Daniels who is excelled against blitz heavy and zone
- 28:06heavy schemes. The commanders haven't faced a defense as vulnerable as Tampa Bay's in weeks.
- 28:16And their defense you know they won't do much to slow down Mayfield either who's been thriving.
- 28:23You know. Washington's defense you know they've improved a little bit I guess. But they still
- 28:32rank in the bottom half of the league against the pass. So this this game is set up to be a
- 28:38shootout. Both teams combined are 23 and 11 on the over this season. And the offensive power on
- 28:47both sides makes 15 and a half feel like a very reachable goal. You know Washington stayed consistent
- 28:55within a one score and both teams have been reliable in putting up at least 23 points per game.
- 29:02Play the over enjoy the fireworks. Manders Bucks Sunday night. This will be fun. Chris sweep sweep
- 29:12sweep. Again not really much I can add. You all made excellent points. Neither defense really all
- 29:21that impressive. We just saw Spencer Rattler carve apart the Bucks secondary for a half football.
- 29:27And we kind of saw Michael Pennings do the same thing to the commander's defense. Both Jane
- 29:32Daniels and Baker Mayfield are very good quarterbacks and they're going to put on a show. This game's
- 29:38going to be really fun. So yeah over all day this this this game is going to rock. The Lions are the
- 29:46most entertaining team to watch. Manders and Bucks have to be two and three regardless of how you
- 29:52rank them at least like in the NFC. So I think this game is going to rock over. Hell yes. OK. Last
- 30:03game on the slate Vikings Rams Monday night football Rams home dogs by one point. This game
- 30:12also could be quite awesome. Chris you're going to go first on this one. What do you think. All
- 30:20right. I feel bad a little bad doing this. The Vikings have been very kind to me and us during
- 30:27the course of the season. Second the Rams on the money line. This line is fishing. You have a team
- 30:36you have a team that was just fighting for the one seed and now they're a one point favorite
- 30:43against like a meh Rams team like a good Rams team but nothing special. I is fishy.
- 30:52Also McVay Stafford they've been here. They've been here before they know what it takes. Obviously
- 30:57they've won a freaking Super Bowl. They know what they have to do to win playoff games. Kevin O'Connell
- 31:02and not the greatest history in the playoffs. We all remember when they were what was their record
- 31:12when they lost to the Giants in the first round of playoffs where they not
- 31:18can't they had a really good record. Was that before the 17 game season was that the year
- 31:23before that. I can't remember. They were one of the best teams in the league. They I remember
- 31:28they were the last undefeated team I believe and they kind of got like handled by a very mediocre
- 31:36Giants team and I just I questioned Kevin O'Connell Sam Darnold against Sean McVay
- 31:44Matt Stafford. That's kind of what it comes down to. I think the Rams have what it takes to win this
- 31:49game out right. I'm taking them taking them on the money line Rams all day. Will what do you think.
- 31:56You made some great points. Man I picked the Vikings just because like
- 32:07like you like you said this Rams team is it's fine. It's good. It's Matthew Stafford. It's
- 32:16all the receivers but it is nothing special and I don't want to take anything away from the Rams
- 32:23because the beginning of the season all their players got hurt. They lost five or six games and
- 32:30then just went on a heater. Damn. You got me thinking. All right. I'm switching the Rams.
- 32:45Well what was your what's your point. I get well yeah I would like to hear. Yeah believe like
- 32:52what why do you why do you want to take the Vikings because we can have a we can have a
- 32:56civilized discussion about about this. So the way that I think about this is
- 33:04back a couple of years ago when they had when they had that great season and
- 33:09were the frauds of the NFL that year. They were on fraud watch the whole year and to be honest I
- 33:17I don't I can't think of another team I can put in in the fraud watch category. This Chris.
- 33:28No I was I get what you're saying. I don't think they're I wasn't trying to say there were frauds
- 33:33per se but they did just like that game against the Lions last week was far and away their biggest
- 33:41game this season and they were not ready. Yeah they got their shit rocked like and I'm not saying
- 33:50the frauds either but they're they're on fraud watch and it's only a matter of time before they
- 33:57exit fraud watch and enter fraud territory. It's just like there's always a fraud team.
- 34:06There's always a team that's a fucking fraud and it just might be the Vikings again.
- 34:14I don't know. It's it's racking his brain right now dude like you can tell. Yeah it's killing me.
- 34:21Hey follow the Twitter. Yeah I'll make my decision there. Sean what do you think?
- 34:29I don't have to keep talking. So I have Rams plus one and a half written down.
- 34:38Parentheses may be money line so I might just go money line. If you're taking one and a half.
- 34:44Yeah we're we're gonna get we're gonna go money line. Yeah. But everything that Chris just said
- 34:51uh you know Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford they've been here Super Bowl champ Proving Track record
- 35:00Sam Darnold playing in his first ever postseason game. For me like who who are you gonna trust
- 35:09given these are you gonna trust Kevin O'Connell versus Sean McVay you're gonna trust Sam Darnold
- 35:16versus Matt Stafford. For me it's Stafford and McVay all the way especially at home season on the line.
- 35:25We saw this we saw this exact thing last week and it like Darnold had the chance
- 35:33to clinch the one seed and I think the state the closest he's ever had to a playoff game.
- 35:39Yeah and I think the stage was too big for him. I think it was just a little too big.
- 35:48And also the Rams they had the advantage of coming in rested after sitting key players like
- 35:54Stafford and Kyron Williams last week. Meanwhile the Vikings they just battled it out with the
- 36:00tight with the the Titans Jesus Christ with the Lions in a physical game excuse me I'm sorry.
- 36:09Similar teams. Yeah similar obviously. Yeah um but yeah I mean these and also it's it's pretty
- 36:21there's a stat I couldn't find it but uh teams often struggle after facing the Lions.
- 36:28I was gonna say that I as we were talking it was like I feel like we've talked about it earlier
- 36:34in the show or I remember talking about the Lions like yes bad against the spread and in this situation
- 36:44it's pretty much straight up so yeah I agree. But I I mean it it's I mean the Vikings they had a rough
- 36:57go of it last week and you know they they've had some scoring issues recently going back couple
- 37:06games scoring touchdowns on only 40% of their trips in the red zone. I think it's a tough spot
- 37:16against the Rams defense honestly that thrives in the red zone. And if you look at it from you know
- 37:26they're a road favorite the Vikings road record they look pretty good on paper six and two but most
- 37:34of those can't most of those wins came against weaker teams like the Jags the Titans the Bears
- 37:41you know but they have been vulnerable in these spots. The Rams did beat the Vikings earlier this
- 37:50season in a close game in LA and LA's they've kind of been clutching it in the fourth quarter.
- 37:59There are offense and defense they both elevate to play. Again McVay, Stiford they've been here.
- 38:08Kevin O'Connell and Donald they are new to this this experience. Everything on the line I'll take
- 38:16the Rams experience and ability to make big plays when it matters most. So Rams money line
- 38:25Monday night it's gonna I feel like this might go down to the wire like I feel like this could be
- 38:31a Rams like 24-23 victory like something dumb but I think the Rams can pull this off. Okay
- 38:40main slate of games we're talking about is over because that's all the games that we we talked
- 38:47about all of the games this week so now we're going to go into our surefire picks of the week
- 38:54double unit guaranteed not to lose and we're going to win these we have to.
- 39:01Chris you go first. We have to win our families depend on it.
- 39:06You want to have a house. All right I'm going first. I'm going to go with the first game
- 39:18of the playoffs. Chargers minus two and a half against the Texans for all the reasons I said
- 39:25and this stat from our friends at Trent Center. Justin Herbert has been a favorite of two and a
- 39:31half points or more 20 times in his career. He is 14 at six against the spread in those games
- 39:39rocking with him again rocking with him again. I like this. I like the Chargers a lot. I'm not
- 39:46going to lie. I put half unit on him plus 1300 to win the AFC. Go to the bowl. Because correct me
- 40:00if I'm wrong. They win this they will play the Chiefs next right.
- 40:06Hold on. I have no clue. I don't really know. They will have to play the Chiefs most likely at
- 40:13some point. They played the Chiefs to a one point game I believe at Arrowhead without Ladd-McConkie.
- 40:22I think they can beat the Chiefs. I think they can beat with Harbaugh they can beat anyone
- 40:28in the AFC. I think what? Well I mean brother it I think they can. The Chiefs will play the
- 40:40lowest remaining seed. Yes. Yes. But I think it's not guaranteed that the Chargers will play the
- 40:47Chiefs given that the Steelers and the Broncos are both lower seeds. But I think it's definitely
- 40:55very likely considering I think it's more likely than anything. Steelers and Broncos are both eight
- 41:01point dogs eight to nine point dogs. So yeah regardless of that I'm playing next they will
- 41:08probably have to play them at some point just if I mean we know it's going to happen.
- 41:15I think they have what it takes to beat them and I think they can be I think they can beat
- 41:20any team in the AFC. So I think plus 1,300 to win the or to go to the Bowl I like it so much.
- 41:30So yeah sure fire double unit Chargers must two and a half. Will what is your sure fire
- 41:37guaranteed not to lose play of Wildcarp weekend? So my play is of the third game of the weekend.
- 41:48It's the Broncos. Bill is over 47. I think this game is going to rock. I think
- 41:57even if the bills end up beating the shit out of the the Broncos that game is going to end
- 42:05like 48 to like 24. Like it's it's going to be a high scoring game there. And a lot of people
- 42:12are going to come out of this game thinking I think I am a bow lever. I think that's what
- 42:20they're going to think I am a bow lever. Well we've always been every single one of us.
- 42:27Every single one of us. Since he was drafted. Always believed in bow nicks. Always believed in
- 42:33champagne. Never said a cross word about them. But I've always thought that bow nicks is a very
- 42:40okay guy. I haven't said anything bad about bow nicks but okay well.
- 42:52At the beginning I was like he's fine I guess. Anyway he's figured out his part of football
- 43:00which is the offense. The defense not so much because that's not his job. But the bills are on
- 43:08a freight train from hell. If you don't count last week when they played nobody that's actually
- 43:12going to play in this game. And this over is going to cash easy. And I mean that's all I got.
- 43:21Sean what do you think about your surefire pick. Double you to play of the week.
- 43:30I'm going to go with the Rams. I'm switching it up. I know we said something different
- 43:34but I'm going to go with the Rams. Money line. All right. Let's boost this surefire parlay
- 43:40just a little bit. Let's get a Saturday Sunday and Monday pick in the surefire parlay. Let's
- 43:47make it a little more interesting. Yeah I think the lights are a little too bright for Sam Darnall.
- 43:54Everything that we just went over. Will I know that you're are you going to take the Vikings or
- 44:01are you going to are you going to switch to the Rams. I'm just going to switch to the Rams.
- 44:05Okay. Great. Because it sucks to take a surefire parlay when it goes against
- 44:12one of your own personal picks. I know we've all done it but it sucks. I'll do it again. All right.
- 44:20Well not this week. Not this week. You don't have to though.
- 44:22But won't be the last time. I am going with the Rams money line. I mean
- 44:30I mean we just went into it. We had a long discussion about it. It's just about experience.
- 44:39It's just about I mean God the Vikings were just so bad. They were just so bad last week.
- 44:48Yeah. It's you kind of expected them to put up a little bit more of a fight
- 44:58just because the Lions defense is so banged up. Yeah. I think they added three more injuries
- 45:05during that game. It was insane.
- 45:07I mean they were getting pressure on him. So he had every right to be uncomfortable.
- 45:23But he just did not look. If he had less than a second and a half to make a decision each
- 45:31time. So I think the Rams have a blueprint of how to beat this team. Oh yeah. I mean they've
- 45:39been well they've been preparing for this too because they you know they they probably figure
- 45:47that the Lions would put the shit on the Vikings and they would end up playing the
- 45:54end up playing the Rams. So they've been doing their homework as well.
- 45:57Well yeah. I mean God I mean what more can we say we just went into it like I mean I literally
- 46:09have nothing more to say. Just I think I think the Rams money line may be like the biggest
- 46:19it's it's it's not the biggest. No it's not triple unit. It might be a triple unit.
- 46:24Oh don't do that to me. Let's see how the other let's see let's see how the other games go because
- 46:32this is on Monday. So so yeah. They'll either have a full chamber just down to his last.
- 46:41Yeah. Good way to put it. Good way to put it. But yes. So we got the chargers minus two and a
- 46:55half or three or will you take it up to three. I take it up to three. Okay. Not more than three.
- 47:02But not more than three. Three and a half now. That's just the key number. I love it. But okay.
- 47:09Two and a half three definitely Broncos bills over forty seven and a half and the Rams money line.
- 47:16Yeah whatever over you get it at. That could be a pretty nice. What is that parlay right now.
- 47:22How about you figure that out while I move on to our next segment.
- 47:29All right. Those are the games we don't have to talk about the Rams anymore.
- 47:32The ball is down. It's not gone. Our roll number.
- 47:39That's good. I'm bad with Qashin. Number.
- 47:44Qashin has nothing left to say. So. All right people got fired.
- 47:52Patriят's coach is out in so is 78. Wolff
- 47:59I think it's a yes. It's a whatever. He was not the problem by any stretch of the imagination.
- 48:12But I also don't think he was going to be the solution. So it's just like that. I feel
- 48:19like you were if you didn't do it now you probably do it in a couple years. Yeah it's
- 48:26kind of like I feel like two years is long enough for to improve on a team or at least
- 48:38like in that second year not be the worst team in the league. The worst team. Someone's
- 48:45getting is someone's the worst team in the league. Someone's getting fired. That's that's
- 48:48exact it like when I saw that ran got fired it reminded me of that scene from National
- 48:56Treasure the best movie of all time. Someone's got to go to jail then you know like someone's
- 49:02got to get fired. And no that was one Chris. That was one. Do not do not test me on National
- 49:13Treasure. No you're not. You're the FBI director said that. I thought it was the I thought it
- 49:18was the president who said it. You are correct. I am correct. Thank you. But someone's got
- 49:23to go to jail. Someone's got to get fired. So and that is exactly what I thought when
- 49:29he got fired. And I was like yep that someone it was either him or Callahan. And honestly
- 49:36it makes more sense that ran got fired than him because I mean he's the one that made
- 49:42these signings he's the one that made these deals. You know we spent the most money of
- 49:50any team in the National Football League in this off season. And we got the first overall
- 49:58pick out of it. That's not that's not good. It's not good. Yeah it's a it it all kind
- 50:08of I mean immediately started with his first acting decision when he drafted Peter Skoronski.
- 50:16Now in that first round last year. Now I think that Peter Skoronski is good. Second
- 50:25best lineman on the team. Yeah on our bar is in the shitter. But yeah. But like you
- 50:36don't draft a guard in the first round. I with how just awful that offensive line was.
- 50:47I thought I agree. I wanted something a little flashier. But especially with how high the
- 50:53pick was. But I got where he was coming from. I was like yeah we could do something fun.
- 50:58We could get a receiver. We could get neighbors. We get neighbors. We could do something fun.
- 51:04Or we could address by far the worst offensive line. And he did. And it was still the worst
- 51:14offensive line of football. So it's like I get what like if you look at it in a vacuum
- 51:19it's like yes. We spent like you said we spent the most money kind of far away of any team
- 51:25and we still were the worst. That is a fireball offense. He did still do some good. He did
- 51:32bring in like some key pieces. Again I think he's being kind of used as a scapegoat. But
- 51:39at the same time I don't think he's some visionary that's going to lead us out of this just deep
- 51:44dark forest that we're in. So like yeah it was it was probably going to happen eventually.
- 51:52So and also this team is a joke. Who cares. Yeah yeah who I mean bringing in you know
- 52:02JC Latham, Trivande Sweat especially. I think Sweat will be a big part of our defense for
- 52:10hope I pray for a long time because that dude is a monster. That dude is legit meatloaf.
- 52:21Dude. He rocks. He rocks. Yeah like that dude's awesome. But you know you can't you can't
- 52:31just break it down to just one or two acquisitions. You know what I mean. No. Yeah like I mean
- 52:39I was just saying it kind of started. Yeah no yeah exactly yeah I agree. His first I
- 52:47mean his his first decision truthfully. And I will say that if personally if I had to choose
- 52:57it would be between Rand or Callahan. Rand's got to go just because when you have Brian
- 53:06Callahan you got his father Bill Callahan who is supposedly the greatest offensive
- 53:14line coach of all time. Or now. Now our line was still ass. But I think that does kind
- 53:25of come down to just having players that play. It's like you can't you can't coach a bad
- 53:36player to be a great player. You can you can coach a bad player to be an average player.
- 53:41You can coach an average player to be a good player. And you can coach a good player to
- 53:45be a fantastic player. There's the range of like coaching. What it can do for you is pretty
- 53:54limited if you don't got the guys. That's just my take. And that's I don't know. Do
- 54:01we have anything else to add. The only thing that just seems fish. I don't say the only
- 54:08thing but the main thing I should say that seems fishy about it is this the president
- 54:13of football operations. What's his name. I just pulled it up and I already forgot it.
- 54:19Brinker Chad Brinker. What'd you say. I said we'll pull it up. I did again. They said
- 54:29you're good to help. Amy said that he will have like final say over Ross just like even
- 54:35when they hire a GM just make him the GM. Yeah like or don't net just don't like what
- 54:42are we doing. I mean this organization this organization's a joke. Like that's kind of
- 54:48what I was saying like well. Yeah it doesn't matter. We won't go anywhere with this you
- 54:54know but Adams dynasty of you know Amy Adams shrunk. If she passes it on to I don't know
- 55:02if she has children. I really don't. If she passes it on to her children. This this team
- 55:09will go nowhere. And if they sell this team they're well they they're going to build a
- 55:15new stadium so they're going to stay here for a while but they're this isn't going to
- 55:18be like you know a permanent residence if they sell the team. I think Nashville. I
- 55:27think you can make enough money in Nashville to where they'll keep. You can. Especially
- 55:32with. Okay yeah I mean. Go I mean I've been you know I've been lucky enough to have a
- 55:42grandfather who's had season tickets since you know the opening of Nissan Stadium and
- 55:49I've been to a lot of games and most of the games I've been to have been like 60 40 opposing
- 55:56fans so I get I get like the reason why there is a team here because this is a big tourist
- 56:03attraction. But that's not a reason why your team should be shit like it's like oh let's
- 56:12let's go to Nashville because we're going to win you know. Like I mean that we got a
- 56:19bit I don't I don't know I. I mean this organization pisses me off dude I mean we're just not going
- 56:26to get anywhere with with Amy Adams we're not we're not going to do anything. We are
- 56:32with. The short fused little lady that doesn't know. How to run a team she she just doesn't
- 56:43know how to do she doesn't know how to run a team she just doesn't. I think she started
- 56:49out started out strong with Robinson and she caught lightning in a bottle. Yes. And then
- 56:57ever since that ever since rock and I mean it is Robinson's fault that we are where we
- 57:01are ever since he tanked the team she's just been grasping the straws. Yeah like she doesn't
- 57:07know what to do. So she's just trying to capture that magic again and she probably won't and
- 57:14then it'll get she does have three kids none of them bear the Adams name so I don't know
- 57:20that's still well I mean neither does she really but it's it's in there. It's it's it
- 57:27but she doesn't bear the name anymore but you know it's but I was nobody it we're starting
- 57:33to starting to because I will say this we're starting to mirror the bears with the McCasky's
- 57:40granted the McCasky's I've been doing for generations and the Adams family has been
- 57:45well it was but up until recently but we are starting to get in that territory where it's
- 57:52we're passing it from family member to family member and they're just making rash decisions
- 57:56and firing GM's firing coaches nothing nobody ever seems to be on the same page we bring
- 58:02in a new quarterback. He has to learn three systems in three years like it seems like
- 58:07we are leading we're wandering down that path and it's not it's not fun it's a bad path
- 58:15I don't like it I don't know but that it is what it is this franchise has been a joke
- 58:2385% of my life so why should it change and I saw that the brown or we reached out to
- 58:30the Browns like assistant GM today for like an interview and I'm like oh my god dude they
- 58:39don't know nothing they don't know anything. Is it frayble? No it's not frayble. Is it
- 58:46Condoleezza rice? It's Bill Haslam. Don't joke about that. No I'm joking. We were having
- 59:02a good time. I got you though. You did. I got you for a second. I don't know if my
- 59:07face was on the screen you said that I went like one. Yeah. You were like don't fuck with
- 59:17me like that. I got you for a second. You did 100% but. No I don't remember his name
- 59:22but I don't know enough about GM like candidates to know this like unless like a GM gets fired
- 59:32two days ago I don't know really any GM's name. It's weird I think ran before us he
- 59:40was like just in the front office of the Niners. He was like some like head of player development
- 59:47or something like that with the Niners. Yeah it felt non it didn't make me feel like he
- 59:57knew what he was doing but it did. I did feel good getting him just because I was like I
- 1:00:05mean he was a part of 49ers organization like he probably learned some stuff about building
- 1:00:11a good team because they have a good team when everything goes right for the Niners
- 1:00:18but as far as player acquisition and drafting and developing for the most part. So it's
- 1:00:28weird I don't know. It is weird just like I kind of want to say overall he did a good
- 1:00:37job kind of like he swung I'll give him that a few of them were some big misses but he
- 1:00:48also had some hits Calvin Ridley a thousand yards like Tony Pollard if he wasn't hurt
- 1:00:54probably would have been a thousand yards got a couple good offensive linemen again like
- 1:00:59sweat stud in the middle on defense the secondary is bad but I just again if you look at it
- 1:01:11in a vacuum we spend a shit ton of money to get significantly worse so for that for that
- 1:01:19alone is a fire offense so it sucks but I get it. So the the the Browns assistant general
- 1:01:38manager and vice president of football operations her name is Catherine Hickman and that is who
- 1:01:47the Tennessee Titans have requested to speak with. We're gonna get a lady coach next aren't
- 1:01:55we?
- 1:01:57I know nothing about her as well. She works for the Browns. I'm out. How long has she
- 1:02:25worked with the Browns? Did she have anything to do with bringing in to Shawn Watson? I
- 1:02:31don't know but she is only 36 years old which you could date her Shawn. Hey that would be
- 1:02:45cool.
- 1:02:56Not great. I'll say that.
- 1:03:16Only at that age and I remember doing wind seventy two класс one last night and then
- 1:03:45remotely high expectation for this team.
- 1:03:48And sort of faith or hope.
- 1:03:51Why? It's just cost me so much, Penny.
- 1:03:55This girl's French, dude.
- 1:03:57She's from Montreal.
- 1:03:58Well, she definitely doesn't know football then.
- 1:04:02She's from Montreal. She speaks French.
- 1:04:04That's her like...
- 1:04:05That's like her native language is French.
- 1:04:09That won't go well.
- 1:04:11This cannot go well.
- 1:04:12This cannot go well.
- 1:04:14Maybe somewhere else, but not here.
- 1:04:19Maybe in the CFO, she could be a GM.
- 1:04:22Oh, of course.
- 1:04:28But the Looney and the Toonie are...
- 1:04:30Yeah.
- 1:04:31I don't know. I just... whatever.
- 1:04:33They're worth as much as the American dollar.
- 1:04:41Yeah, well, we'll see what happens.
- 1:04:43I...
- 1:04:44If probably we'll be wrong,
- 1:04:48whatever decision is made will probably be wrong.
- 1:04:53If I'm just going off my 28 years on this planet,
- 1:04:59it's probably going to be the wrong decision.
- 1:05:04Yeah.
- 1:05:05Yeah, so, L.A. fires right now.
- 1:05:09They're devastating L.A.
- 1:05:11So, you should definitely take Chris and I's surefire picks.
- 1:05:16Chargers minus two and a half and the Rams money line.
- 1:05:20L.A. Strong.
- 1:05:22Let's stay safe out there.
- 1:05:26Yeah.
- 1:05:28And the Broncos bill is over.
- 1:05:32Yeah, do that too.
- 1:05:34Just trying to get out of this conversation.
- 1:05:36L.A. Strong, stay safe.
- 1:05:40Yeah, all these L.A. listeners we got out there.
- 1:05:44I do want to pose a question that I think could be a good debate.
- 1:05:54When do the Steelers make a change in head coach?
- 1:05:58I don't know. Probably never. Probably until he dies.
- 1:06:02It's got to happen soon, man.
- 1:06:06He hasn't won a playoff game in seven years or something like that.
- 1:06:12I mean, you stay consistent.
- 1:06:15You keep making the playoffs.
- 1:06:17Like you stay within your division.
- 1:06:22Like I get the whole like he's never had a losing record and all that stuff.
- 1:06:26I don't even say that. I didn't even say that though.
- 1:06:28But you like the consistency thing. Like I get like that is huge.
- 1:06:32And I if they fired him tomorrow, I would be like, yeah, fucking hire him for the Titans.
- 1:06:38But like you get to a point where it's like, okay, cool, making the playoffs is good.
- 1:06:45You got to fucking win a game.
- 1:06:48We're not saying when it's super.
- 1:06:50Win a game. He's won.
- 1:06:52I think the stat could be wrong, but I'm not going to be far off.
- 1:06:57He's won three playoff games since they won the Super Bowl.
- 1:07:02I can tell you, yeah.
- 1:07:04He won he won he won five playoff games in his first two years and one of those was the Super Bowl year.
- 1:07:11And he's won three and he has eight playoff ones now. So he's won three since it.
- 1:07:16Him and Ben were just so like they were just like so in sync. Like they were interlocked mentally where like, you know what I mean?
- 1:07:28Like, and you know, this this turnover of of quarterbacks within the Steelers within the past five, six years has, you know, to stay above 500 is kind of a miracle.
- 1:07:45Especially with having Kenny pick it as you're starting quarterback.
- 1:07:51You know what I mean? Like just like, I mean, I don't know when you make the change.
- 1:07:58Let's say he goes to playoffs three consecutive like this year next year.
- 1:08:06You're after that.
- 1:08:07I was first round.
- 1:08:09What with who with Russ.
- 1:08:12Sure. I mean, it doesn't like with a capable quarterback, but he loses first round every single every single year.
- 1:08:22I feel like at that point, you gotta do something like just if you're the Pittsburgh Steelers, like you have like making the playoffs cannot be the the ball cannot be the state.
- 1:08:37Well, I mean, growing up in the time that I've, you know, grew up, I guess that's a stupid way of saying it, but the Steelers like they've been, they've always been, you know, flatlined, like they've always been eight and eight, like, whatever, like just just good enough.
- 1:09:06And I feel like that's enough for the city of Pittsburgh to be like, yeah, we're, we're in contention.
- 1:09:15We can still, we can still do it.
- 1:09:17We can make the Super Bowl.
- 1:09:19We can make the AFC championship.
- 1:09:22And I think I don't really think ownership really cares that much, if I'm being honest.
- 1:09:31I don't know.
- 1:09:32I don't know.
- 1:09:33Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 1:09:34I don't either.
- 1:09:35But it really doesn't seem like they care.
- 1:09:37It doesn't seem like they really give a shit.
- 1:09:40They're fine with just making the playoffs.
- 1:09:43And like, again, I'm a fan of shit bag organization.
- 1:09:48I envy that stability.
- 1:09:50Yeah, because if I had that stability, I would be like, okay, let's win one of these things.
- 1:09:55Like, let's, I'm not saying we got to go to Super Bowl and win like be the chiefs win three, make a dynasty, whatever.
- 1:10:03I want to win a place.
- 1:10:05Yeah, because if you're the, if you're the Steelers organization, you're like, all right, let's win the AFC North and then we can sell t shirts.
- 1:10:14You know, like we can, you know, like we can make merch for profit.
- 1:10:19We can make hats.
- 1:10:20We can make shirts.
- 1:10:21We can make fucking socks.
- 1:10:23It doesn't matter.
- 1:10:24Like we can sell this shit because we have such a devoted fan base because I think the Steelers do have like one of the most.
- 1:10:32Devoted fan bases in the entire National Football League.
- 1:10:36Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:37No question.
- 1:10:38So like as long as the Steelers stay like consistent and they stay relevant, they don't care.
- 1:10:46They don't care if you go eight and eight.
- 1:10:48They don't care if you go nine and eight.
- 1:10:49They don't care if you go eight and nine.
- 1:10:51And if you have Mike Tomlin, you're not going to go below 500.
- 1:10:57So it's like, do you really make the change?
- 1:11:01I guess not.
- 1:11:03That's my point.
- 1:11:05That's my opinion.
- 1:11:06I mean, I'm not saying fire now.
- 1:11:07I'm not going to say fire next season.
- 1:11:09I just think if you go like multiple, like many years, several years in a row, first round playoff exit, at some point you got to be like, okay, like we got to make and yeah, maybe it is that we suck for a couple years, but that just, it's just kind of the way football is.
- 1:11:28Yeah, you still get there though.
- 1:11:30Like, and that's really all I think really all Pittsburgh wants like, they're a fucking blue.
- 1:11:36That's a fucking blue collar town, dude.
- 1:11:39Like it's like, oh, we're kind of good.
- 1:11:43It can be what ownership wants, but I feel like it's something like Steelers fans like as diehard as they are, you get like, okay, like, again, not asking for rings, not asking for a dynasty, maybe some of them.
- 1:11:56I would if I were to see if I want to win like a playoff.
- 1:12:00Sure.
- 1:12:01And they haven't done it.
- 1:12:03So that's why I feel like I feel like if this continues next two to three years, still is my doubt to make and I don't even feel like it's it would be like that crazy of a move.
- 1:12:16Because Tom, it's not like Tomlin is like, like, yes, he is the model of consistency and he has never had a losing season. It's not like he's going like seven to 15 and two all these years and these like winning seasons.
- 1:12:33A lot of times he's one game above right at 500.
- 1:12:37So, yeah, and that's again, I get what you're saying.
- 1:12:40Yeah, I get what you're saying.
- 1:12:42Like that is kind of the new bar, I guess, for the Steelers, at least kind of what their ownership is saying.
- 1:12:48But if you're a fan, it's got to be mad.
- 1:12:52I think I think it's more.
- 1:12:55Sorry, go ahead.
- 1:12:56Well, all right.
- 1:12:57Finally, I get to I get to speak.
- 1:12:59Yeah, I know.
- 1:13:01I think it's to sort of piggyback off of you, Chris, it's it's a weird situation like they they had a stable quarterback in Raffles burger for so many years, and then the past five years, or ever since he's been gone, however long that's been, it's been a turnstile at quarterback,
- 1:13:25which is kind of like, you can't really blame him for that.
- 1:13:33And he is truly making the best of what he's got.
- 1:13:38And that is always above 500 apparently, that's his, that's his best above 500.
- 1:13:45I think with, you know, kind of after that sort of window where they they want a ton of playoff games and then they've only won three since then, that's, I'd probably look more towards why didn't they fire him earlier, I guess, why didn't they move from him earlier if, if they were winning all these
- 1:14:09games and then they just couldn't do it in the playoffs, but now they're still making the playoffs and they obviously can't win these games because they don't have a quarterback and so it's, it's an interesting situation.
- 1:14:22But the Steelers never have been truly awful so it's kind of hard to get that stable quarterback.
- 1:14:30So I think, I mean, reason, two reasons they haven't fired him yet, which, okay, three, one, he is a very good head coach, like I'm not shitting on the man at all.
- 1:14:42Two, they are like the Steelers have had, like, is it three head coaches like fucking ever.
- 1:14:52So they tried themselves on being like, we're going to stick with our guys and like ride it out and they will be in like we believe in them and they will be great.
- 1:15:03And they've all been great.
- 1:15:04They all have.
- 1:15:05Yes.
- 1:15:06Yeah.
- 1:15:07And but also like that's the point.
- 1:15:10That's the point I was going to make before, you know, Will made his point is like they're, they're afraid of change, essentially, like, you know, like,
- 1:15:21they're afraid to change it up.
- 1:15:23So just stick with consistency.
- 1:15:26Pretty much.
- 1:15:27I mean, that makes sense.
- 1:15:29So yeah, I get it.
- 1:15:30I just, yeah, I just wanted to raise the question.
- 1:15:34There's something that I was thinking about this week.
- 1:15:36I mean, it, it makes sense.
- 1:15:38Like, it's, you know, like, why haven't they fired him earlier?
- 1:15:43Well, because they're okay with consistency, they're okay with being eight and eight.
- 1:15:49They're okay with being nine and eight.
- 1:15:51They're okay with being, you know, second in the division.
- 1:15:57They're okay with making the playoffs like every other year or whatever and losing in the first round because, you know, you make it, you at least have a shot.
- 1:16:06We've seen it that like, if you can at least make it, you can, you can still make it and win.
- 1:16:13We've seen it.
- 1:16:14So, I mean, Tomlin's a dog.
- 1:16:18Tomlin's a dog, dude.
- 1:16:20He's a dog.
- 1:16:22He'll fucking, he'll grind and he'll, he'll grind and dig his way out and fucking bite.
- 1:16:28He'll, he'll get there.
- 1:16:30Yeah, he'll get there.
- 1:16:32He will, but much like us with the end of this show.
- 1:16:36Yes, with the end of this show.
