- 0:55[SPEAKER_03]: a red cent over $4.99 a month.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody keeps asking me, it's not $49.99.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_03]: It says it says $6.24.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_03]: No, that is Apple.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: That is charging you extra money.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_03]: It is just $4.99.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: Do it on a desktop avoid the Apple upcharges.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Mark, something big happened yesterday and in fact, I'm putting up like stories all day today.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: There are some on forget Twitter, because Twitter, you know, or x.com, there's gonna be weirdos on there, right?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, absolutely.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: So, and this is a matter which, you know,
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: for get wrestling Twitter, definitely for get wrestling Twitter.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: Forget wrestling Twitter because God Almighty, if you notice, I don't talk too much wrestling on Twitter because I used to and I would just say one thing that that could be objectively true, right?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and somebody can call me they could call me a hater, but it's still an opinion if I think AEW is crap,
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I say so, it's still an opinion, right?
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it doesn't make me a bad person.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I stopped putting my wrestling takes on Twitter a long time ago because people would come at me and be like you're wrong.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: You're wrong.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: You're wrong.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like guys.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: I make a living off of my opinions on professional wrestling.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: I teach people professional wrestling for a living.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't care who you are.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm probably more in the know than you are like a set of that set of now.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I would talk about, like, doesn't matter, you know, which wrestler I've criticized, moxley or, and they eat W guy, you know, just insert AEW guy here.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I just get bombarded with take after take.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: You don't know what the hell you're talking about?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: You sound like this guy.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_03]: You're just copying this guy's take, and I'm like, I've never heard that guy before.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who the hell that guy is.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm talking about, I've never seen this podcast.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know that person existed until you just told me
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know because others who is the the person that they hate on wrestling Twitter They'll substitute if you have the same take.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: They'll substitute that person for you, right?
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_03]: This damn out of bio scoring 33 points thing.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: Whoo!
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's been fun, okay?
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Not, not 33, 83, 83, 83, 83 reasonable, 83 is ludicrous.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: Scoring 83 points, this has been fun.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: There are some, I'm not going to mention who they are.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: But have big YouTube shows that are asking for the commissioner to wipe out the record.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's absurd.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_03]: Why about the record?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Reasons.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: He made too many free throws.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is called like Stop fucking foul in him then.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there is a way to keep him from scoring.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_03]: Then I am the ball and don't foul him when he catches him.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now play defense idiots.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and if he dunks it on your head, guess what?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_03]: Those are two points as well.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you can't take it away from them.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the record book.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: He did it second most points scored in a single game all time And if you listen to the conspiracy theorists on the internet It's the first most amount of point scored when there's video evidence of those points being scored because nobody believes well Chamberlain scored 100.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a crazy person like that, but in today's day and age scoring 83, I just I didn't think it'd be done.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: I really didn't when when when Kobe scored 81, I remember saying to myself, nobody's ever scoring more than that ever again.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's never going to happen.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: and bam at a bio of all players, right?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a hell of a player, hell of a player.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think my favorite tweet I saw about the entire thing was it's not gonna be a surprise to anyone when bam goes out and score 16 points tomorrow night.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it wouldn't be, but no one can ever take it away from him, 83 points in a single game is phenomenal.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like what a performance.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_03]: and and people don't have any historical reference to what they even talking about their like, oh, you know, this is a, you know, this is a fraud and I look, Wilts 100 point game.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_03]: And this is the next start of a story from the athletic a while back.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to redirect me from it.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: While we're just coach Frank McGuire at one point pulled out his entire
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: The intention was to foul the mix, get the ball back after free throws and give Chamberlain the ball.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: Those each time spent the last minute fouling each other.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: And sure enough, it says, the water's ended up with 25% of fouls in the mix with 32.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_03]: And lost him off and Willie knows both foul that was six fouls.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: So this is that the first time it's happened.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's happened before.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: Coaches have done it before.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna say I got upset.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_03]: It just reminded me of something last night as I was watching it and enjoying it.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: And once it was over, it tied right back into the dolphins because even the feel good always ties back into the dolphins.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_03]: Even things that feel good, right?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like it was maybe, I don't know, 10 minutes after the four of the Panthers had won their second Stanley Cup,
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: And my daughter says, now all we need is for the dolphins to do it.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, why are you ruining this moment?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: Why are you ruining this moment?
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, the the feel good for me last night, last at about a minute, because it just like something came over me right away.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, my God, if Mike McDaniel was in charge, he would have taken
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: yeah for the entire fourth quarter.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: Look, if we're talking about all-time records.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like, look, I know that in wrestling, everybody lies about attendance all the time, but you got to figure that that silver dome crowd.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's been approached.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the one at AT&T Stadium is that the largest crowd that ever watched professional wrestling, the one at the silver dome?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they say.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they say, at least in America.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know that we've had some pretty pretty hefty crowds over the last few years with wrestling being super popular, but that silver dome WrestleMania three audience.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's what everybody points to when you're looking at big draws.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they had the opportunity to, I know, for a fact at AT&T Stadium, which is where the Cowboys play, to draw like 120,000, but they closed the last deck.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_03]: And if you close the last deck, even if you have people on the on the on the on the floor, the most you can have is 90,000.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't think they had 90,000.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think they might have had 88,000 or something like that.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: Because remember, they're staging area.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: And especially for a WrestleMania, you're going to take a lot of seats away for that stage.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't think it reached 90,000.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: So it's very possible that the silver dome crowd was the biggest of all time.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: The reason I mentioned is because they are many records.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: This is one of them, by the way.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: Will Chamberlain is 100.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: Hope he's 81, which is no longer.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_03]: And the Chicago Bears 73 points to be at the time the Washington Redskins, we were on the doorstep of that of being immortalized forever and we decided to call the dogs off.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: And McDaniel's reasoning for that has always bugged me because he says, I wasn't trying to rub it in, you know, we're trying to bank some good karma for later.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: Where the fuck did that good karma come in?
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: It was all downhill after that.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was all nothing but shit after that.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't want to play off game.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: Toa is no longer a part of the organization.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like Mike McDaniel's gone offensive coordinator for the Chargers taking Alec Engold and Cole Strange with them, like we just were back at square one.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Take the damn feel goal, get the record.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: At least make us feel good about something.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, by the way, that cold strength thing is that has to be some type of elaborate money laundering scheme because insanity.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that he was an adequate fill in last year.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't think that he was starter material in two years for $13 million.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's a $3 million dollar a year player at most.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then you're happy with like, hey, we got a little bit of depth here.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know?
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: But no.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, Kevin, two years, $13 million.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, maybe Cole Strange was doing Mike McDaniel's laundry every week or something like that.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: So he went to the Chargers GM and he's like, bring my guy in.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: I need somebody to pick up my laundry.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: It was just odd.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: But.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: a lot of things happen this week, okay.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that yesterday was such a crazy sports day because you get BAM score in 83.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, still a little sick.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Then you get the max cross be thing.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: The Ravens backing out on an agreed deal.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: which throws a wrench into this free agency period, right?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders agreed to had handshake agreements with multiple other free agents, you know, other teams missing out on the Crosby trade like the Dallas Cowboys.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: They went and traded for Rochon Gary instead.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: If they would have known that that Crosby was still going to be on the market, I doubt they do that were Sean Gary trade.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, lots of dominoes fell after that one, and that was just the second most interesting sports story of the day behind BAMs 83.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that Max Crosby deals crazy.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: You hear a lot of heat going the Ravens way.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of agents don't want to play ball with the Ravens anymore because of this one, huh?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not only that.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: Another thing happened yesterday, which was the Florida Panthers came storming back on the Detroit Red Wings.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: They win it with 14 seconds left.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, it's looking like they're not going to make the playoffs.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oddly enough, if they were on the Western Conference, if they were in the Western Conference, we'd be talking about we're going to three people.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: because it would be something like a four-seater or a five-seed in the Western Conference.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: But in the Eastern Conference, the better Conference, they're just next to last.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: So they're probably not going to make it in.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, that Max Crosby thing was not only was it odd because you rarely see, you rarely see something like that blow up, but especially something like that magnitude.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: But you're really screwing over another team for no apparent reason whatsoever you knew that guy was not like look if they were gonna play a football game on Sunday He was not gonna be able to play He's not gonna be medically cleared to play football until June The good thing is they don't play football and June either Yeah, right so that means he would have been ready for OTAs and he would have been ready way before camp So everybody knew about the surgery he had which was a minor procedure
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: just the miniscus.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: I've had the same procedure myself.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's very like you said very minor.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: So then backing out should have you know come with more consequences because they really just threw the the raiders into like all kinds.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_03]: Unless you know maybe the raiders can find a tray partner very, very quickly here for for Max Crosby and no harm no file, right?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but especially after that Tyler Lindobomb deal, you know, going going crazy for a center in the free agency market.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm seeing the conspiracy theories that say that's why the ravens backed out because they were so mad.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Which to me, I don't believe this, but they're so mad at the Raiders for resetting the market for centers, right, which really
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: That affects the dolphins in all honesty with this A-ron brood or excuse me, A-ron brood or extension on the horizon here, you know, that affects us more than the most teams, but what do you think it was, what do you think it was, because the Ravens knew the Ravens knew that that max pros be had undergone the knee surgery and wasn't going to be ready right away, do you think they just got cold feet buyers remorse to first round picks, it's a lot to give up.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think what happened there is precisely what happened the next day, which was they signed trade, it traded Hendricks and I think that they figured out and by the way, there's reports that
- 14:08[SPEAKER_03]: that they were negotiating with Trey Hendrix and while Max Crosby was in the building.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_03]: So that means that they had the trade and they were negotiating with Trey Hendrix.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking that they didn't think that they had a shot at Hendrix.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: And when they realized that they could make the numbers work, they're like, you know what?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: Let's back out of the Max Crosby deal because why are we gonna trade two first rompix when all it's gonna cost us is cap space.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: And actually let's cap space
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: So not only are we going to save money, we're going to save two first rompics.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_03]: So we're basically going to scroll over the Raiders here.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to keep our two far from picks and we're going to get a past question that is maybe not as good, but pretty damn good and pretty close to being as good.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought it was extremely underhanded move.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, it feels real dirty.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Really shady.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: Clearly, they had already agreed to the deal.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was reported by everyone that's essentially a handshake agreement.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: And they went back on the word.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: They went back on the word and said, we change your mind.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to do
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: The dominoes that fall after that, you know, we're still, we've yet to see the complete ramifications, you know, that are going to come from the Ravens backing out of this deal, but it's a bad look in my opinion, it's a really bad look.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: for the GM of the Baltimore Ravens and you're already here and a lot of rumors coming out from agents saying we don't we don't want to mess with the Ravens no more we're going to tell our guys don't don't even think about going to Baltimore Plus it's a bad look when you're trying to renegotiate and re-up a deal with Lamar Jackson he was real excited about that Max Krause betrayed he was tweeting about it for a couple days there and now it's not going to happen and he's probably sitting there going man what's
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on with these guys?
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: This is, I don't know.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: It feels real shady to me.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to go to break.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_03]: And when we come back, we will talk about to out Malik Willis in and why the fan bases essentially crashing out over all of this.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: But first, let me tell you about factor.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_03]: Somewhere between the first warm weekend and realizing short season is getting close.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: And like I've said many times before, when reading this, is that short season for me is pretty much 24, 7, 365.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: because like I said before on December 31st, it was 42 degrees and I was running around in short.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: With Long Sleeves, by the way, I said, I was studying.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't going to wear sleeves to watch the Cains play Ohio State, but then I realized you know what 42 degrees feels cold.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I'll put on some Long Sleeves.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_03]: So eating well stops feeling optional.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_03]: Factor is how I stop letting a busy schedule be my excuse.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: So fully prepared meals designed by dietitians and crafted by chefs, ready in two minutes, no planning, no cooking.

- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: Head de facto meals.com slash three yards, five zero off, and use the code three yards, five zero off.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's the number three, yard five zero off.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_03]: To get 50% off and free breakfast for one year.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_03]: Like I told this month with Factor, new subscribers only varies by plan.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: One free breakfast item per box for one year was subscription is active.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: Make healthier eating easy,
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: with factor and now for the rest of our sponsors.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: And we are back.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: All right, tools gone.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that was expected.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sure that they tried to trade them and there's some information I've been privy to that.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: They did indeed try to trade them, but no matter they couldn't and they just fell back on what they needed to do to clear them out to bring in Malik Wallace.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_03]: very briefly here and I asked this of my partner on Monday when we did three yards per carry.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like what was the moment that it ended because for me was it was that concussion against Buffalo.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, first and foremost, Dolphins fans who are cheating on Tua on the way out the door, like, I don't think you fully understand how good of a player he was, especially in 22 and 23.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Those were really special years.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: for this Dolphins team, this Dolphins offense, like it hasn't been that exciting since Dan Moreno retired, and at this point we're talking 26 years since Dan Moreno has been a part of the on-field product of the Miami Dolphins.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: Two would talk about Loa is not in my opinion, not a bust, right?
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Number five overall pick in 2020.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: He led the league in multiple categories throughout his tenure with the Miami Dolphins.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to go to Atlanta and do some really good things for them.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to win the job over Michael Panics.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Panics got the
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: the injury that he's coming back from, but I just think to a total by low as a better player than Michael Panics when he's when he's right, right?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously he has physical limitations, but this past season in Miami, I think it was the mental limitations that hurt him more than the physical limitations.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I think even Darren Waller said something similar to that, right?
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: He said something similar to the idea that
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, two of it just needs to get his mental right.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: So he can get back to the way he was playing three, four years ago.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: And three, four years ago, he was an MVP candidate, right?
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'll always limit the fact that we'll never get to see what would have happened if two of it doesn't get injured at the end of the the 2022 season.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: The dolphins were fighting for the number one overall seed and a by week into the playoffs, right?
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and it didn't happen and he gets injured and then, uh, scholar Thompson starts the playoff game against Buffalo and it all kind of falls apart from there.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: But to a tongue of Aloha, as a member of the Miami Dolphins, he was a great player.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: He was a great human being.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: He did a lot within the community.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, did he have some slip ups in the media?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not the, the, the, the most well spoken individual when it, when it came to press conferences
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: But he gave us all for the Miami Dolphins, and I personally will always be thankful for the joy that two of brought myself, you know, my family, my kids, my youngest son is left-handed when he figured out that two of us left-handed as well.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, all right, this is my guy, you know, what I mean, he's just like me.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll always be thankful for what two of brought to the Miami Dolphins and the joy he gave us on Sundays for the time he was here.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: And it didn't work out.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: But he's not the first person that it hasn't worked out with.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dhammerino never wanted to support all of my M.E.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: either as much as we all, you know, which he had, you know, myself included.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: But, but it is what it is.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's a member of the Falcons.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: The Miami Dolphins have Malique Willis now.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: But for me, when did I realize it was over with two a tongue of Iloa, probably?
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I held on a little bit longer than most people, but I think when they benched him for the final two games, not of last year, but the the your prior, right?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: When he had the quote-unquote hip stinger, when the dolphins were still in playoff contention, right?
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was a long shot,
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: but they were still in playoff contention when they benched him and decided to to roll with the backup instead of tooling you see two on the sideline with the sunglasses on and you got plenty of conspiracy theories about why that was to me that kind of felt like the end.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know he comes back for one more season obviously gets benched at the end of the the
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: yours was fine, but I never felt like when yours was giving the team a better chance to win.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: Then to a jungle by Lola would have, but for me a couple of seasons ago when they sat him down over the hip stinger for the final two games, it felt like that was probably the swansong for jungle by Lola's time in Miami.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, it's kind of sad.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I remember how excited
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: In 2020 with the number five overall pick.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was not a, oh, you got a draft Justin Herbert guy.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of people that are coming out of the woodwork now saying, hey, the dolphins messed that up.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: They should have drafted to I was always a Herbert fan.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe you.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe you.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: The consensus was that two a tongue of Ilow was going to be a better player.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Injuries took their toll, concussions took their toll, and ended up not being the case, right?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm willing to sit here and admit that if the dolphins would have drafted Herbert, you know, we wouldn't be in the position we are now signing a Malik Willis.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't think Justin Herbert,
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: A top level, I don't think he's a Patrick, my home's type player, I don't think he's a Josh Allen type player, but, but revisionist history will say, Miami probably should have gone with Herbert in that situation, but I'll always be grateful for what to a tongue of Iloa did with the Miami Dolphins, and I'm wishing him success as he moves forward with the Atlanta Falcons.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I think he is going to do well there, but speaking of Malik Wallace,
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: they actually did it.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about this on last week's show that we kind of expected them to do it.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't understand, oh, I do understand it because I said this on Twitter on next.com.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: And I absolutely believe it, which is
- 24:43[SPEAKER_03]: all of the people and I actually had a tweet that said this, which was just tell me you want a tank and we could cut this conversation short.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't have to hear all your excuses for why you don't like Malik Willis because I don't believe any of them.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_03]: I know what you want to do.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_03]: You want to tank and you know or you feel as if Malik Willis is going to win you too many games and you're not going to be able to tank.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, that's just loser talk.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: That's just not for me, not for this team, not for winning teams.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: Because how are you going to talk about winning, building a winning culture?
- 25:20[SPEAKER_03]: And then at the same breath, say, you know what, but we really want to go O and 17 here.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't get it.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: I love the signing.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that there's much downside.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_03]: And like I said, the only downside people keep bringing up is, oh yeah, but now you can't tank.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought about national people, you know, national media personalities, like Pete Pisco said, you know, Joe Rose asked them on his morning show, what is your plan?
- 25:45[SPEAKER_03]: He goes, well, my plan is to start quit viewers and lose as much as I can.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so your plan is to essentially just throw games.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_03]: And then he says, oh, and then you take arch manning and Dante more, oh, that's it's that easy huh.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it's absolutely nonsense.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_03]: I like the player.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: His is tape is undeniable.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_03]: I understand it's a small sample.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but to these guys, it's not a small sample.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: They were running for two years.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: I like the signing.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: What do you make of the the the the complete crash out that parts of this fan base are undergoing over the molecular signing?
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's damned, if you do, damned, if you don't, right?
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: If the dolphins had struck out on Malik Willis, those exact same fans would be on X talking about how John Eric Sullivan was asleep, sleepy Sullivan, right?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: He couldn't, he couldn't close the deal.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: Not only did you get Malik Willis, which is something that'll, you know,
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think a majority of Dolphins fans wanted to happen, especially those of us who actually watched him play in Green Bay, which I did, especially because, you know, where I live in Iowa, very close to Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lot of Packers games on the TV.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I picked them up in fantasy last year, when Lamar Jackson got hurt, I picked them up in fantasy and I started them and I'm watching these games and I'm like, oh, this guy is he's different.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's not your average backup.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: He is special.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: him good man.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's just a good football player.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: I, I'm ecstatic that not only did the Miami Dolphins sign milk will list, but they got him at such a reasonable rate.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: You saw crazy numbers being thrown around for Milliequillus prior to the legal tampering period.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: You saw people saying you could get upwards of $40 million a year.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: I saw someone say maybe $50 million a year.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: Dolphins got him for $22.5 million.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's essentially half price.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: of what a franchise quarterback is going for these days.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: You get them essentially on a two-year deal, right?
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when you consider the guaranteed money, that's a two-year window to see what you have in Malik Willis.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't stop you from drafting a quarterback early in 2027.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: If Malik doesn't do well, the dolphins aren't good.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: In 26, you know, it doesn't stop you.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: You can always draft somebody for the future and I subscribe to the theory that it is always better to have too many quarterbacks as opposed to not enough quarterbacks, right?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: All aboard the Malik Willis train.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am I am fully a believer in his talent.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is going to be the quarterback in the future 26 years old still young still in the prime of his career a dual threat quarterback.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: Once the last time the dolphins had a true
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: dual threat quarterback and I'm not including Ryan Fitzpatrick in that although we did get a solid rushing output when he was when he was preparing the team to draft to a tongue of my lower right.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: When was last time?
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's ever happened, right?
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Pat White.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's Pat White, the dual threat quarterback in Dolphin's history, that didn't turn out so well.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: The Steelers scrambled his eggs pretty quickly, but I think this is our opportunity to have someone who can beat you with this arm.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: He can beat you with his legs, and I'm very, very excited for the prospect of Malik Willis in Miami.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to lead to good things.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: Do I think
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: we're winning a Super Bowl in 2026 now.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there's going to be flashes of greatness enough so that you go.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: This is the guy we want him here for the long term.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't even be surprised if he gets a renegotiated deal.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: After next season, right?
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be surprised if they go, hey, let's lock him in for longer.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: I've heard Chris CK talk about this on the main pod multiple times, right?
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's a bias against players based on their draft pedigree.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: Malik Willis was a third round pick.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't a top 10 selection.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't even a first round pick, right?
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: He was a third round pick, so that's what you get him.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: at 22 and a half million, even though he showed flashes of brilliance with the packers.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: When you go to read up him, when he does well from the Miami Dolphins, are you going to have to pay him 55, 60 million a year, like you're paying guys like the homes and and DAC?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you approach Malik making 22 and a half now, a years time from now and you say, Malik, we want to give you 40 million a year.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: for the foreseeable future.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're able to lock him in for that and that still give you some wiggle room to add a couple quality starters, either on offense or defense, in free agency.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're always going to get that little bit of a discount with Malik Willis based on his draft pedigree.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was a third round pick.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: He went from his drafting team to the Packers signed a deal worth 22 and a half million a year with Miami.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be able to bump
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: bump that up incrementally without having to really back up the Brinkstruck and make him the highest paid quarterback in the NFL.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I never see that happening.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: But I think he's going to play like a top 10 quarterback at worst.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: like a top 10 quarterback in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Whether the team wins or loses, you know, that's gonna be football's a team game, right?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's gonna be on the rest of the team.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: But I think he's going to play like a top 10 quarterback for the Miami Dolphins this year and for the foreseeable future.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a guy you can lock in for 10, 12, 15 years if he shows you, he's the guy.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: And in my opinion, I think he is.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_03]: Although you're going to get a lot of pushback from Dolphin fans talking about extending him for $40 million a year from now, you know, but you know, they control his rights for three years.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_03]: So good thing that I don't have to worry about any of that, and those are first world problems that they actually do get them.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: All right, as we wind down here from the wrestling world, they kind of reshuffled everything all of a sudden.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's Cody now in the main event.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: No more Drew McIntyre, I was late to that news.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: So it's Cody versus Randy Orton and Roman Reigns and Punk.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now they're doing that thing where they're going to have segments, promo segments to close shows, which I absolutely hate.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: Because nothing ever comes of it, right?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: And I did not understand.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see the promo on Monday night with punk and the useos?
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I saw saw some highlights of that on the internet over the last couple of days.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: Like I didn't understand, maybe the writers need to get in the room and realize that this is a smart fan base and some of the lines that used to work don't work anymore.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: When Punk is saying, oh, of course he's not here.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the guy's not here, but not here because he has fucking leukemia.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_03]: So he can't wrestle a full schedule and sure enough the use shows come out and nothing really happened like okay the hip punk Then they they just scurry out
- 33:38[SPEAKER_03]: And it was basically just a apologize for what you said.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: And then punk does that thing.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: We're just like, yeah, I'm sorry.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, you're a piece of shit, you know?
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't understand how that worked at all and how that like, okay, Roman Reigns is not there.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: Roman Reigns is not there.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_03]: Don't cut a promo.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: It just looks bad.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: It just like, you know, what it makes the Usals look like lackeys going out there and speaking for Roman.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: which is what punk is accusing them of.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't get that.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand that.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just uh, they're honestly, they're trying to fill time.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: We got a month plus a week until WrestleMania.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to get through.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to build hype for it, but like,
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: on a show where you know Romans not going to be there.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're really just scrambling like what's the best we can come up with.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: If that was the best they could come up with for Monday, then So be it I guess, you know, you'd hope that they could come up with something a little better than that, but it is what it is, but the cool thing about professional wrestling is there's always
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: another another another another chapter right the book is never ending the story is never ending so we'll see what happens over the next you know four or five weeks as we approach WrestleMania but
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how it feels to you, but it feels like the build is in a bit of disarray at the moment.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like things people are kind of swirling in the wind, right?
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't feel like we've locked in on this is what's happening, this is how we want it to go.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to follow the steps, ABC, it feels like they're kind of stretching.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: to their grasp in its straws, trying to figure out how to get people invested in what they're doing.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't often like to talk bad about the number one wrestling promotion in the history of our world, but I feel like they're swinging and missing a little bit more these days than they have in the last couple of years since Triple H took over the booking.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, um, it's been like it's falling flat.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: Some of this is falling flat.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: Like, well, now what happens to, unless there's an injury that we don't know about, because sometimes they hide injuries that way, but by swarving on, on SmackDown or Raw, but, you know, like, what happens to Drew McIntyre now?
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is, is he, you feel bad for Drew?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: You really do.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_03]: You know, because his only man event was in essentially a warehouse.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that COVID that COVID Russell, Mania, yeah, it's such a bummer.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I don't understand where they're at right now.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's, I don't think it's working, you know, and I know it's, it's leading up something, but for me personally, this is my least anticipated
- 36:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I remember I remember there was a time where you could recite the entire card because the entire card mattered and now you're like, well, I think I think I know three matches on this thing I think I care I'm not quite sure, but I think I care you know, but they're there in a place that they've always wanted to get to which is they don't have to care
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: People are going to show up.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: People are going to watch.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: People are going to build their lives around that Saturday and Sunday.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be there.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be watching.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I'm not going to be there, right?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to be in Vegas.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: I have, I hate saying shit like this.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: It makes me sound like an asshole.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: I have the opportunity to be there.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to pass on that opportunity.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to watch with my kids.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: The boys want their
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be there.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be watching.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'll I'll be tuning in to see what happens, but I'd be lying if I told you I was really looking forward to it.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm one last thing.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_03]: Is it the writers?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: Not that I want you to rip the writers or anything.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: But is it the writers that can mess with with the announcers?
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: Because one of my favorite things about raw and one of my
- 38:13[SPEAKER_03]: And there's evidence that Corey Graves can be extremely good as a heel announcer.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_03]: But why is he popping in and out from being a heel announcer to a baby face announcer?
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's quite frankly confusing.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I think somebody's getting in his ear and essentially fucking him up.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know what you think about that.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably spot on with that.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably somebody in his ear, whether it's a triple H or a different agent or whatnot.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Telling him what to say and when to say, you know, and sometimes that will contradict what he has been saying in the past, sometimes it'll contradict
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: the angle and the direction of his character right if he's a heel character let him be a heel sometimes but I agree with you right like like Bobby the brain wasn't a heel 50% of the time and then a baby face
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: the other half of the time you know what I mean he was a heel a hundred percent of the time you always knew where he was gonna stand on certain issues um but but some of these guys are flip flopping a little bit but it's probably not their fault you're probably right it's probably somebody in their ear saying this is what you need to say is what we're trying to get over so
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is what it is, but we do have a good five weeks until WrestleMania kicks off.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe more, I don't know, I'm not gonna pull up the count.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's five weeks, six weeks, somewhere in there.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: Where we at here, it's March 11th.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, this weekend, it'll be 14th, so 1, 2, 3, 4, yeah, five weeks, we got five weeks into the start of WrestleMania.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's time, right?
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's plenty of time.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: They could get us to a point where we're frothin' at the mouth.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: By the time, WrestleMania Saturday comes around and we can't wait to see what's going down.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: They have time.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hope they get us there.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: But on March 11th, one day before my son's 10th birthday, I'm shat up, shat up to my son, turn it 10 tomorrow.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, on March 11th, 2026, I'm not that excited if I'm being honest.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, and neither am I, but yeah, you were mentioning Bobby with a brain.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: It just, it occurred to me.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_03]: I remembered talking about a heel announcer, Bobby the brain one time.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was, I don't know what show was, but it was obviously a big show like a Saturday night.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it was one of their, their big events.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was like a, one of those Saturday night, you know, televised events.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: And Bobby the brain.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think there remember Bobby the brain hated Hulk Hogan and Hulk Hogan was defeating which he was going to defeat anybody they put in front of him on TV on a Saturday night right because there was at that time they used to never change titles.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, especially not the big one not not the heavyweight title on on TV.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: He's always happened at a WrestleMania or or whatever at a big event.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: But he was defeating Hulk Hogan was the feeding Paul Orndorf and Bobby the brain was just quiet.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_03]: and grill them on soon.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_03]: Captain, Bobby, Kat, Kat, Kat, Kat, you tongue?
- 41:22[SPEAKER_03]: Eh, Bobby, basically in protest saying, Hold this one, I don't give a crap anymore.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_03]: And he just take quiet the entire match.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_03]: And then, and then, and then when they come to one, two, three, all year as Bobby is basically saying, thank God, that's over.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_03]: to shoot right there.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_03]: And that works.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: That works.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, I'm laughing, you know, I'm pretty sure that that, you know, you know, kids everywhere that loved Hogan were like screw Bob with the brain healing.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: But all the adults were getting a kick out of it.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_03]: Like it was funny.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_03]: Like which Russell Mania was it where Bob with the brain healing lost every match and he had like six
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: Including the main event, which was with Andre, I think it was, Andre, I don't think it was WrestleMania 3.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't the big one, but I think Andre was on the card and he also lost.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: I forgot which many it was but I remember the many where he had six guys and he lost every single match and he was doing commentary in between the matches.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: He's distraught by the end of it.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and you could see him like he's like falling apart, you know, like that works man.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: That was the best.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: I just wish that they get back to it.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: But all right, that's it.
