  thank you for this opportunity to come before your throne of grace. I thank

  for allowing me the opportunity to speak to other people on this podcast that they

  may be a voice for someone who may not have one. I ask that

  you would move me out of the way and let your Holy Spirit come in

  and reign supreme. I thank you for all that you are, all that

  I think towards you. Saith the Lord thoughts of peace and not evil,

  to give you a future and a hope. At this time, I would

  like to introduce and present to some of you, and I would like to

  introduce to you my amazing, amazing, wonderful, beautiful guest, Miss Tamera

  the Lisa Hopkins and today our topic is going to be Excelling in God's Arms.

  That is the name of the show, the topic of the show,
• 3:51
  and we will be getting into some things in regards to that. But first
• 3:55
  I'm gonna ask my special guests to give us a little history on why she
• 4:02
  chose the scripture Jeremiah twenty nine and eleven. Hello, everyone, God blessed,

  God bless I chose Jeremiah twenty nine eleven. And I keep it with
• 4:17
  me faithfully, which is my rings. This is on my ring. And
• 4:24
  that piece what you were talking about, that peace in that scripture, well
• 4:28
  it's say for I know the thoughts that I think towards. You said the
• 4:31
  Lord thoughts of peace? Who don't who doesn't want peace? I know I
• 4:36
  do peace, peace with everything in every area of my life, and not
• 4:43
  of evil. I don't want to be around evil. But hey, we're
• 4:46
  living in this world right and this world. God give us peace. He
• 4:54
  gives us peace, and I thank God for it. I thank God for
• 4:58
  it. And it's not our thoughts because today it will not be my thoughts.

  That's my prayer for today, as you just spoke. And Yes,
• 5:04
  Jeremiah twenty eleven, I keep that close to me. And also I would
• 5:12
  like to share a little bit about that scripture as well, because Yes also
• 5:15
  talks about future and hope. When we did not know Jesus Christ and the
• 5:21
  parting of our sins, we had no hope, We had no hope for
• 5:27
  our future. So we don't want to leave Jesus Christ out of anything,
• 5:31
  and we want to thank him for our hope which is in our future.
• 5:36
  Yea. And we don't we make all the plans in the world, but
• 5:42
  who has our future? The ultimate plan maker is so we thank God for
• 5:47
  that. And um, the topic of our show today is excelling in God's
• 5:57
  Arms. Yes, can you tell us a little bit of that? Well,
• 6:02
  Excelling Guy's Arms was a vision of mine that God gave to me.
• 6:09
  And the excelling God's Arms. What we do is bring the women together and
• 6:15
  we also do coed meetings as well. We've been doing it for fourteen years.
• 6:20
  Next month will make the fourteenth year anniversary before Excelling Guy's Arms, and
• 6:26
  we talk about different topics, bringing everyone together, loving on everyone. You
• 6:31
  know a lot of people don't have that support, so we are a supportive
• 6:34
  group. Amen. And so can you tell our listeners a little bit about
• 6:45
  why why you started the group? I think I just said that why because
• 6:49
  God told me to bring the women together. You know, we all should
• 6:55
  be live hearing from the Lord. So fourteen years ago I would say that
• 6:58
  my desk and Inglewood Inglewood, California, and he said, bring the women
• 7:03
  together. And I'm looking around like I know I heard what I heard.
• 7:06
  So I brought it to my friend, my dear friend, the Conda Boudreaux.
• 7:11
  She has been connected with me from day one and the first minute was
• 7:15
  at her home in the city of Palm Deal and we have been city of
• 7:18
  the city ever since. Then. Well, I thank the Lord for that
• 7:23
  ministry and I would like to know if your family is ever involved with it.
• 7:30
  Yes, first, my first ministry is my family, right, my
• 7:35
  children. Yes, I have two older ones and that's twenty six Alexa Chapelle.
• 7:42
  Ashley Clark is a twenty one year old and I have six kids in
• 7:47
  total, so all of them are part of this ministry. My mother,
• 7:54
  my two sisters, they have been a part of the ministry as in cooking.
• 8:00
  My baby sister can cook. Both of my sisters they can cook.
• 8:03
  And I know one meeting, I think last year in July, my baby
• 8:09
  sister bought some enchiladas and there if everybody loved those enchialatts. I think that
• 8:13
  was around my birthday month November. She made those enchilattas because at a part
• 8:20
  of me, a part of me so we were celebrating on my birthday.
• 8:22
  Amen. Yes, okay, well amen, thank God for family. Family
• 8:28
  is everything and everybody needs support of family. So we praise God for your
• 8:35
  family. In the endeavor of helping you out to do with what it is
• 8:41
  that you do. I would like for you to tell the people a little
• 8:46
  bit about what you do at the actual meetings. At the actual meetings,
• 8:54
  we talk about different topics and we focus on the topic and focus on the
• 9:01
  people who needs that help during that on that topic. So, for instance,
• 9:09
  the excelling guy's arm. We had a meeting regarding unlearned to unlearn unlearned
• 9:16
  to learn again, and that was one of my favorite topics. Um Nikki
• 9:20
  actually brought that topic to the group. Okay, well that's that. What
• 9:26
  are some of the topics just off the top, What are some of the
• 9:31
  topics that you guys have talked about. Which ones would you say were your
• 9:37
  best topics? I might as if just mentioned um unlearned to learn again,
• 9:43
  which Nkanda Boodraw she brought that topic to the group and that unlearned to learn
• 9:48
  again. We may have learned so many things from childhood, from college,
• 9:56
  wherever the case may be. And when you start going on living your own
• 10:00
  life, you begin to forget about some things and learn some new so to
• 10:07
  unlearn to learn again. That helps you to, you know, forget about
• 10:11
  some things in the past and learn something new so you can grow in that
• 10:15
  area. And I know, I know that you guys right now have been
• 10:22
  talking about the fruits of the spirit. Yes, let's talk about that a
• 10:26
  little bit. Yes, yes, yes, we've been talking about This is
• 10:31
  the second time that God placed on my heart to bring the fruit of the
• 10:35
  spirit to others that I'm connected with. The first one was with de Chantey's
• 10:41
  group that she has started, and we me and her tag team with the
• 10:48
  fruit of the spirit. And then also right now we started this month with
• 10:52
  excelling in God's Arms. Nakande and I has been tag team in regarding the
• 10:56
  fruit of the spirit. We need those characters or tracing our lives. Okay,
• 11:03
  Now, have you ever had a situation where you've actually seen somebody to
• 11:11
  be helped through excelling in God's Arms far as growth is concerned, yes,
• 11:20
  multiple people, multiple people. I want to give a shout out to Miss
• 11:24
  Jennifer Stewart. She came on our line, our testimony online last month,
• 11:31
  I believe, and she gave her testimony and she always let people know how
• 11:37
  excelling God's arms has helped her in many ways, and whether it's from healing
• 11:45
  where she has been healed, whether it's from transferring to another atmosphere where she
• 11:50
  has transferred from another atmosphere, and also within myself as well. You know,
• 11:54
  it's not about people who come into our group, it's about us learning
• 11:58
  as well. We learn and we grow from the people as well. We
• 12:03
  learn from one another. Okay, So would you say that those are some
• 12:09
  of the benefits for being a part of your group, Yes, the love,
• 12:15
  the support, the growth, all of that. Yes, okay,
• 12:24
  Well, I would like to just thank you for what you are doing because
• 12:28
  it's very important for people, not just women. And I know you have
• 12:35
  some co ed stuff going on. We'll talk about that in a minute,
• 12:39
  but it's important for us to be able to connect with people and of the
• 12:46
  connection that you are providing you maybe somebody in the group that may not know
• 12:54
  Jesus Christ, but as they come in the group then get an opportunity to
• 13:00
  know what you all know about Jesus Christ, and they're have an opportunity to
• 13:05
  meet them, meet him and have a relationship with him as well. So
• 13:11
  I think that would be possibly be one of the best benefits of allowing people
• 13:20
  to come and take part in the group and make those connections and tell us
• 13:26
  a little bit about the men. The men, Yes, the men.
• 13:33
  I want to give another shout out because I love my people. I love
• 13:37
  you guys Asari. Azari is the main one that's been supporting us day one,
• 13:43
  day one. When he first came, he was introduced to me through
• 13:48
  another connection and he never left. So he always stayed on me saying bring
• 13:54
  them in. What about us men? Well, I said, we'll watch
• 13:58
  to get something started, you know. So he's been supporting everything. Um
• 14:03
  he'll be coming um July ninth doing a CPR class and it's it's a beautiful
• 14:11
  thing. Azari is a great guy. He's been connected and it was multiple
• 14:16
  me and a friend of mine, um Elisa butte mister about her husband.
• 14:20
  He's a great support We have a lot of great supporting people for excelling guy's
• 14:26
  arms. Yes, and I do understand also that you guys have UH speakers
• 14:33
  guest speakers, and I believe it has something to do with testimonies as well.
• 14:39
  Yeah, yes, I will um. Every Since two thousand and nine,
• 14:46
  we have been doing guest speakers once a month, once a month,
• 14:52
  and during the pandemic we have to stop, you know, in person,
• 14:56
  so we start doing it every two months, every other month. And from
• 15:01
  there we went to right now we are on Google Meet. So Google Meet
• 15:05
  is a testimony meeting where we allow a person a guest speaker to come on
• 15:13
  every third Saturday other month to share their testimony and allow others to ask questions.
• 15:20
  So I love it. We love to hear people testimony because you've been
• 15:22
  through the test and now you have your testimony and let God know, let
• 15:28
  us know how God brought you through. Right amen? Amen? Well watered
• 15:33
  to that. Amen. I have somebody that is real close and dear to

  you making a comment, and it is Lakanda. Yes, miss Lakanda,

  I wanted you to be on here with her. I had invited you,

  but I understand that you're having some mitigating circumstances. I would like to thank

  we do not shame or blame anyone who wants to connect with exhaling in

  God's arm. And I thank God for that, for that comment, because

  truly it's uh. We want to be like Christ. We want to walk,

  we want to be in his image. Of course, we don't know

  what he is, what he looks like, because those pictures do no justice,
• 16:37
  I'm sure, but we want to thank God that Jesus, when Jesus
• 16:42
  walked the earth, he didn't turn nobody away. And we thank we thank
• 16:48
  God that you're you're excelling into God's arms. We thank God that you have
• 16:55
  that same concept that Jesus Christ had to not learn anyone away and to allow
• 17:03
  everybody to come as they are, because truly, God, he looks at
• 17:08
  the heart. Yeah, he looks at us from the inside coming out.
• 17:14
  So thank you for allowing anybody and everybody to be a part so that they
• 17:21
  can feel like they have a connection to somebody. Now, Amen, thank

  you again, missus Lacanda. I appreciate you. Have you ever have you

  ever had anybody that really and literally came to Christ because of what you do?

  Yes, mostiple people without even knowing until later on, you know,
• 17:49
  Like I said, some a lot of people, we don't know their life

  until they had said, just come on, like na kind of mention.

  Tammer is the one who go out and connects. Yes, I do.

  I love it. I just you see it. I love it well like
• 18:07
  a lot of people. You when you met me, you know so I'm
• 18:10
  always inviting, you know. I love to learn people. I love for
• 18:15
  others to learn me. And that's how you get to connect. How you
• 18:18
  gonna know God if you're not connected a man. And I'm glad you mentioned

  when we met it was it was a wonderful meet. I mean you pour
• 18:29
  it into me just right there that day. I mean what you did.

  You walked up to me with a book and it was a poem book,
• 18:38
  and you said, I need you to do something for me. I want
• 18:42
  you to open up this poem book because literally people have been opening up this
• 18:48
  book and what they opened up to has blessed them. And it seemed like
• 18:55
  that the Lord allowed them to open to that page because as they would be
• 19:00
  blessed from the book. Well, I am here to tell you that it
• 19:06
  happened for me as well. She handed me the poem book and I opened
• 19:11
  it up and it said something about making sure that our living is not in
• 19:17
  vain. And it is truly, truly my aim to make sure that what
• 19:23
  I am doing is for God, through God and with God, because truly
• 19:30
  I don't want my living to be in vain. And the Bible also says
• 19:36
  that what only only what you do for Christ was will last. So we
• 19:41
  thank God for our meeting and us making a connection, and I'm looking forward
• 19:48
  to going forward and the things of God with you. Thank you. So

  why would you say that making con actions? I know you already said something,

  but why would you say that making connections is important? Making connections for
• 20:08
  me is very important because they are so regarding excelling Guy's arms. There are
• 20:15
  so many people that are hurting that does not have a voice, that they
• 20:22
  don't know how to just be themselves. So when they come around, when
• 20:29
  I connect with them, I help you be yourself. You know, I'm
• 20:36
  gonna help you voice your opinion. So when they say, oh, I
• 20:38
  come into participate in a group, but I may not say anything, they
• 20:42
  come and they say, okay, just takes it takes a minute now,
• 20:48
  yes, yes, And you for a person that doesn't really talk that much,
• 20:55
  when they open their mouth and they start talking, they're gonna be blessing
• 21:00
  somebody else and they mayn't even know it. And we thank God for people
• 21:04
  willingness to share um, to be able to be that voice that somebody They
• 21:11
  will be the voice that they thought that they didn't have for somebody else.

  Yes, I'm yeah, because them when they come, majority of them that
• 21:22
  has came, they come there and they listen, but they also speak up
• 21:27
  because some could come and just don't say anything. They wouldn't even ask a
• 21:30
  question, but they do. Yes, And Lakanda just said, they usually
• 21:36
  say something, So it's good for them that don't really or don't really want
• 21:45
  to talk, or they're shy, or or whatever the case may be.

  We have to know that Moses, Moses stuttered and he thought he thought that
• 21:56
  he couldn't be used by God because of his speech impediment or whatever. But
• 22:03
  we look at the characters in the Bible and we know that nothing new.
• 22:10
  There's nothing new under the sun. So if God did it for those who
• 22:15
  are in the Word of God, he can also do it for us.

  Yes, Ecclesia asked, Chapter three, Hallelujah, what does it say?

  Ecclesia asks, Chapter three says what you just spoke on AM there's nothing new

  under the sun. And yeah that was Solomon talking over there, right,

  yes, yeah yeah. So um, so I'm gonna ask you if there

  is a legacy that you would like to leave with the whole world, what

  would it be. First? I would like to leave for my children,

  and that's walking my faith, just trusting in God wholeheartedly, walking my faith.
