- 0:00what's up everybody welcome to fanatically speaking
- 0:02i'm kent i'm log off i'm the log off legend and
- 0:05uh we're here to say everything that every fan
- 0:07is thinking but louder and probably a little
- 0:09crazier get ready this is fanatically speaking
- 0:12with kent and log off you know what's funny like
- 0:15i don't hate i don't i'm not a social media hater
- 0:18i'm a social media I don't want people to think
- 0:25that I get on the internet and start hating people
- 0:27on social media. That's not what I do. The first
- 0:29half was absolutely, absolutely horrible. You
- 0:33know, just inept offense, inept defense, special
- 0:37teams, you name it. I'm going to turn into Oprah.
- 0:40Why were you so angry? He sucks this season.
- 0:45This game, whatever, whatever's going on, right?
- 0:47And then in the very next pitch, guess what?
- 0:50they double Homer and he's like told you dad
- 0:53why you always knocking down people listen you
- 0:56got the highs and the lows yeah so i knew that
- 0:58you need you need the highs and the lows and
- 1:01so i do that yeah but i'm trying to be the voice
- 1:04of reason here i am what i am And I just wanted
- 1:22to talk about this briefly. The Indianapolis
- 1:25Colts quarterback situation as they have signed
- 1:3244 -year -old Philip Rivers to the practice squad
- 1:35with a chance to possibly play the rest of the
- 1:39season. And I wanted to go over this because
- 1:43I had this topic early and it kind of went away
- 1:48because they were winning. and daniel jones was
- 1:51working out but i wanted to go through i want
- 1:56to hit philip rivers on that and other options
- 2:00they would have had they could have had because
- 2:03it and then also just their record since andrew
- 2:07look and what exactly are the colts doing and
- 2:11going to do at quarterback so i have I have kind
- 2:18of the ultimate closer. So I kind of wanted you
- 2:21to go ahead and take the lead on this. Okay.
- 2:23I got you. Yeah. Yeah. If you, it just, yeah,
- 2:25if you got it, yeah, go ahead and I'll, yeah,
- 2:27I'll go ahead. I'll, I'll regret. So two different
- 2:31things. Like I said, what are they doing? What
- 2:35they've done at quarterback since Andrew look
- 2:37abruptly retired. His last season was 2018 since
- 2:45then. They have had a different starting quarterback
- 2:49every single season. After Andrew Luck, they
- 2:53had Jacobi Brissette. Then they had Philip Rivers
- 2:57in 2020, which was the last time he played. Then
- 3:01they had Carson Wentz. Then they had Matt Ryan,
- 3:06who didn't even finish the season. Nick Foles
- 3:09did, and Jeff Saturday was their head coach.
- 3:14Which that tells you something already. about
- 3:17them going off -script to go hire people, players,
- 3:21whatever, coaches. The next year, the starter,
- 3:25Gardner Mentschew. Then the next year, their
- 3:30number, their fourth pick of their draft, Anthony
- 3:33Richardson. And then they also had Joe Flacco,
- 3:37because Anthony Richardson can't stay healthy.
- 3:40And then this year they had Daniel Jones. And
- 3:43Daniel Jones just tore his Achilles. So guess
- 3:47what? 2026 the Indianapolis Colts will again
- 3:52have a different starting quarterback Now that
- 3:55could be Anthony Richardson. He's still on the
- 3:57team. So maybe he doubles up or maybe they go
- 4:01after Someone in free agency or draft someone
- 4:06else who knows? So with Daniel Jones injury though
- 4:10now this season they have again decided like
- 4:13you said to sign 44 -year -old Philip Rivers,
- 4:16who previously played with them for one season
- 4:19in 2020. He has not played in five years. He's
- 4:24considered an all -timer, right? Great, never
- 4:27won anything, put up a lot of great numbers.
- 4:29Yeah. And that got to me thinking, I was like,
- 4:34was there anyone else out there who was younger
- 4:37than Philip Rivers or around his age? and also
- 4:42hadn't played about the same time. And this was
- 4:46just for fun. And this also came about, it was
- 4:49funny that we got the clip today of Cam Newton
- 4:51talking about, this is why he don't retire, because
- 4:54anytime someone could call, and he stays in shape.
- 4:57And I believe that. And we don't know what his
- 5:00arm's like anymore, but like you said, Cam does
- 5:03a lot, but Cam Newton is on this list. And I
- 5:07don't know what Philip Rivers can do they worked
- 5:09him out apparently they put him on a practice
- 5:11squad They think maybe possibly who knows? Meanwhile
- 5:15Raleigh Leonard I think is gonna start are they
- 5:18gonna go with someone else who knows? They could
- 5:22have signed or tried to get I mean Derek Carr
- 5:28Ryan Tannehill Cam Newton Hill Tim Tebow Colin
- 5:37Kaepernick, Tom Brady. The most popular streamed
- 5:44event was Tiger King. Yes. Well, this was, yeah,
- 5:50it was. It was the COVID year. Yeah, that also
- 5:54was. Yeah, COVID. And I wasn't even going to
- 5:56go with COVID because we all know. So it's like,
- 6:00is that? Yes. It was, you know, it was also the
- 6:04year And I'm pretty, it was a, it was a, you
- 6:07know, where were you moment when you heard this,
- 6:10but it was also the year that Kobe Bryant died.
- 6:16Yeah. Kobe died that same year. All right. Early
- 6:202020, early 2020. So like there, there's key
- 6:24like it's been such a long time when, from when
- 6:29the last time he actually played professional
- 6:32football. defenses are totally different now
- 6:36the schemes are totally different the rules are
- 6:40different like everything that took place when
- 6:44he played football I'm not it's just the kickoffs
- 6:47like like everything there's so it's such a drastic
- 6:53change from the football that that man was used
- 6:56to playing and God bless him I don't know, he
- 7:02was never a super athletic quarterback. He was
- 7:04always big, he was always durable, he was always
- 7:07reliable and consistent. You knew what you were
- 7:09gonna get out of Philip Rivers as a quarterback.
- 7:12But it's absurd for, and almost an insult to
- 7:16the game itself, where you can just take a guy
- 7:21like Rivers who's been out of the league for
- 7:23this long and just throw him in. And I've heard
- 7:26people say this and I wanna, and I kinda wanna,
- 7:29Fist fight them in the middle of the street when
- 7:31I hear people say this but people keep throwing
- 7:34out Joe Flacco as a comparison between Philip
- 7:38Rivers and Him coming back into the league Joe
- 7:41Flacco never left the league Joe Flacco has been
- 7:44a consistent NFL quarterback He has been on TV
- 7:47guess he's hopped around. Yes. He's been on different
- 7:49teams. Yes He's been on practice squads, but
- 7:51you know what? He never stopped doing playing
- 7:53football at the highest of levels And so much
- 7:58so, I don't even know if you know this. Are you
- 8:02aware that Joe Flacco as of this moment has the
- 8:05record for the most yards in a football game
- 8:08this season? That's crazy. Crazy. So don't make
- 8:13a comparison between old tall white quarterbacks
- 8:17and then compare Philip Rivers you know what
- 8:20i would play in five years to to flacco who again
- 8:23we know we've seen what that got to do he caught
- 8:25lightning in a bottle of water so purple one
- 8:27postseason yeah we know what that guy is capable
- 8:30of doing uh... i i hope this doesn't in tragically
- 8:35for philip rivers because i mean i mean depending
- 8:39on that matchup man if if uh... if i if it did
- 8:42the defense of incomes off a corner and just
- 8:45catches in the wrong way It could be, what the
- 8:49hell were we thinking and why did we throw that
- 8:51guy out there? But this is the post -Jim Ursay,
- 8:56RIP Jim Ursay, Indianapolis Colts. You mentioned
- 8:59the Jazz Saturday signing where they literally
- 9:02just hired a guy that used to play for that franchise
- 9:05who was on television every day and just made
- 9:07him a coach for half the year, didn't work out
- 9:09well. And I guess they want to try all these
- 9:12silly things and just to see if this Philip Rivers
- 9:15thing is going to work. I don't see it working.
- 9:17But if that's what they want to do, it's fine.
- 9:20The one thing I will say is, I'll watch. We'll
- 9:24all... Listen, listen. When you're anywhere and
- 9:28you hear those tires screeching, you turn your
- 9:32head to look to see if that car is going to crash.
- 9:35So we're going to watch this car crash. Oh, for
- 9:37sure. I mean... You know, it's obvious like it's
- 9:40a story and it's kind of you know, but Again,
- 9:44I don't I don't know what they're thinking. I
- 9:45don't know what and he could just go out there
- 9:47and kill it Who knows right? He's been throwing
- 9:49through some tire swings. I don't know but In
- 9:54some Wranglers with Brett far. I don't know.
- 9:57All I know is He hasn't played in five years
- 10:00the last person that did anything remotely like
- 10:03this in football in the NFL was Deion Sanders
- 10:08He was out of the game three years before he
- 10:11came back and played with the Baltimore Ravens
- 10:15and at that time he was age 37 But also we talk
- 10:18about Deion Sanders is one of the greatest athletes
- 10:20to ever walk this earth. So Philip Rivers at
- 10:25quarterback and not like playing corner But as
- 10:29you said not exactly mobile He's probably got
- 10:33a lot left in his arm because his throw in motion
- 10:36is not like a full throw So maybe he can't, you
- 10:39know, he's got some stuff left. And then, you
- 10:42know, like I said, we could be wrong. I'm not
- 10:44saying he's gonna crash and burn. Even if he
- 10:47gets to play, right? But for the Colts, do they
- 10:52think that Philip Rivers gives them the best
- 10:54chance to go to the Super Bowl or make the playoffs
- 10:59and win in the playoffs against... You know the
- 11:04Buffalo Bills the defense of the bill the defense
- 11:07of the Broncos the New England Patriots I mean
- 11:10Even though these teams are up -and -comers now
- 11:12and they've shocked everybody is Philip Rivers
- 11:15the difference maker for the Colts making it
- 11:18They lost Daniel Jones. They've lost sauce Gardner
- 11:21And I don't you think sauce Gardner was putting
- 11:24them over the edge because again quarterbacks
- 11:25the main position. You know what I mean, so You
- 11:29know I joke so here's the thing and this is where
- 11:33The only place that I can give the Colts credit
- 11:38in this situation is simple. The AFC is as wide
- 11:44open as it's been in forever. The benefit that
- 11:50they have is what we've done several episodes
- 11:52on is that we don't trust any of these teams.
- 11:56Having to go through the Arrowhead annual invitational
- 12:00is no longer on the table. Josh Allen, you know,
- 12:04has won, he's had some strong games lately, but
- 12:06we've also seen him struggle this season too.
- 12:09We've seen Lamar Jackson struggle. Joe Burrow
- 12:12is hurt. Aaron Rodgers is hurt. Like every, like,
- 12:16like this is... their opportunity to just seize
- 12:20on the AFC and go get a win. You know, hell,
- 12:23even the Patriots are having their struggles
- 12:25now. I think they just like, hey, we got to try
- 12:27something. We're competitive. Their record is
- 12:29good enough for them to still try. And I'm not
- 12:32faulting them for trying. And I just don't understand
- 12:34how the first person on your call sheet is a
- 12:37guy that you haven't seen. It's like, oh, well,
- 12:40he understands our offense. He knows our system.
- 12:42Dude, he was there for a year. And by the way,
- 12:44his last year, I want to say, and this is off
- 12:46the top of my head, I want to say he was like
- 12:4720, either 22 or 24 touchdowns, 11 picks. He
- 12:51wasn't bad the last time he was there. He wasn't
- 12:54terrible. Out of all those quarterbacks I named
- 12:57that they went through since Andrew Luck, I mean,
- 12:59he had a solid year. Carson Wentz had a really
- 13:02good season as well. And, you know, it was like
- 13:0527 and seven, 27 touchdowns, seven interceptions.
- 13:09And that's just my Carson Wentz plug. Yeah, I
- 13:14don't know. I'm not I get it like it is up for
- 13:18grabs But again, I reiterate I don't think adding
- 13:22Philip Rivers to the Colts. I Don't think they're
- 13:25gonna win with Daniel Jones. I stopped believing
- 13:26in him a long time ago What like you said he
- 13:29turned back into a pumpkin? If they get matched
- 13:32up, they're not even with their division like
- 13:33the Houston Texans right now are strong. So I
- 13:38Forgot about them their defense CJ Stroud starting
- 13:41to ball so Yeah, I get it. Like you said, they're
- 13:44trying. I don't understand calling Philip Rivers
- 13:47at this point. Like I said, they should have
- 13:49just maybe called Andrew Luck and see if he want
- 13:51to come back. He's only two years removed from
- 13:55Philip Rivers last game. So, you know, I'm having
- 13:58fun with it because I'm like, yeah, might as
- 14:00well just call Andrew Luck. Like how did Philip
- 14:02Rivers, again, did you have all these guys on
- 14:05a dart board and you threw the dart and it landed
- 14:07on Rivers or? you did some kind of uh you know
- 14:11generator generator name generator and his name
- 14:14come up because again uh you know Derek Carr
- 14:18I think would have been a better option even
- 14:20maybe Ryan Tannehill at least they played late
- 14:23Tannehill yeah Tannehill I'll give it and the
- 14:26one thing out of all the guys that you've named
- 14:29ah I don't want to say I don't want to well I
- 14:33can't really say it for Kapanic and I probably
- 14:36wouldn't say it for Cam but out of all the guys
- 14:39that you named, Tannahill might be the most athletic,
- 14:45at least recently athletic, because Tannahill,
- 14:48he could move around. And he was never great,
- 14:53but I think he would be serviceable. And I know
- 14:57that he was, because there was some options for
- 14:59him to sign as a backup. in the off season. And
- 15:02he said that he was actually waiting and he was
- 15:04going to keep himself ready to have an opportunity
- 15:07to play for a team that had a chance to compete
- 15:08for a championship. It would have been good to
- 15:10at least, I mean, and here's the other thing
- 15:12to your point. If you're going to call Philip
- 15:15Rivers, call in Tannahill and make it a competition.
- 15:18Bring both of them in. Who gives a shit? Like
- 15:21no one's going to hold it against you for signing
- 15:22both of them. No, make a few of them. And like
- 15:25I said, they could have had a workout with all
- 15:27the guys I listed. And they could have did a
- 15:30live on NFL Network and we would all watch it.
- 15:32Oh my gosh, oh man, listen, and just having them
- 15:35just throw deep passes to guys running, yeah,
- 15:3850, 60 yard go outs. I'd watch any of those guys
- 15:42just air it out. Kaepernick went to Afro. Let's
- 15:45watch that workout, man. Cam, yes, with his hat.
- 15:48Cam with that goofy ass hat. Cam with the hat
- 15:51throwing deep passes. Like yeah, I would watch
- 15:54it. So yeah, I don't know what they're thinking.
- 15:56If this was the best way they felt, that if this
- 15:59was the best opportunity that they felt that
- 16:01they had to compete, sure, but there's clearly
- 16:05better options. I mean, there's probably some
- 16:08young college quarterbacks who have some opportunities
- 16:12that they didn't even think about. It's like,
- 16:14we're going to go with this 45 -year -old veteran
- 16:16guy. I don't get it, man. Yeah, and like I said,
- 16:19I named a lot of guys, but other guys who were
- 16:22backups and played in the league that they could
- 16:24have worked out and signed were like Nate Sudfeld.
- 16:27He was a Philadelphia Eagle, Taylor Heinecke,
- 16:29former Panther commander, Dorian Thompson Robinson.
- 16:34I personally, that would not have been a good
- 16:36one, but Desmond Ritter. So there's a few names
- 16:39that I looked up that are available that you
- 16:42say, okay, maybe a younger guy. But anyways,
- 16:45we'll see what happens. We'll see if Phillip
- 16:47Rivers even gets on the field, how this works
- 16:50out. But once again, the biggest thing again,
- 16:53they're going to have to find a quarterback.
- 16:56For next year and the future. They can't you
- 16:59can't keep rotating quarterbacks and think you're
- 17:01gonna win and have success Yeah, no, I agree
- 17:05with that All right, so we're gonna go we're
- 17:14gonna switch to college football and the hot
- 17:17story Today it was everywhere and when last night
- 17:23and today Michigan's former head coach as they
- 17:27fired Sharon Moore for a scandal. Inappropriate
- 17:31relationship with a staff member. Yeah and and
- 17:38these are things that we've seen happen more
- 17:43it's been more and more common. The most recent
- 17:46I guess instance of this was the Ime Udoka scandal
- 17:52in Boston they ended up getting him up out of
- 17:55the building and you know that ended his marriage
- 17:58so I mean these are things that that are unfortunately
- 18:01that we're seeing that are more common conflicts
- 18:04of interest you know having people you know positions
- 18:09of power have relationships with people that
- 18:11are on their staff you so I've seen a lot I don't
- 18:17know how much of the reporting on this I trust
- 18:19I know you've seen much more solid information
- 18:24on it so if you want to dive into it like I say
- 18:27you just you just got more insight on this than
- 18:29I do yes so I just want to you know everything's
- 18:32allegedly right now and by the time we put this
- 18:35out some of it may have come out You know, I
- 18:37heard the TMZ, they put out the 911 call. I believe
- 18:42it was from his wife, and they were talking about
- 18:45him suicidal. Then there's rumors, alleged rumors,
- 18:50you know, that, so since his firing, obviously
- 18:54there was a spat with the wife, as we all would
- 18:58expect, as she finds out that, you know, her
- 19:01husband is cheating with someone else. this scandal
- 19:07and then allegedly he then went and broke into
- 19:13this staff member's house and there was maybe
- 19:18a threat of him you know suicide and possibly
- 19:22her and also she I think is alleging that he's
- 19:26been stalking her so I think that was all on
- 19:30the 911 call but again I'm not saying it's true.
- 19:34I'm not saying we're just saying allegedly this
- 19:35is what's out there. We don't know yet. We know
- 19:38he got arrested. We know he's still in custody.
- 19:41I believe he goes to court on uh friday as of
- 19:45this recording. So we'll see what happens there.
- 19:48You mentioned the scandal like you doka uh again
- 19:51you know that was also a bigger one again another
- 19:54big program team you know the boston celtics
- 19:56then he was with nia long famous actress so that
- 20:00blew up And you know, this is kind of like taking
- 20:05off. Like it's one thing to get fired for a scandal.
- 20:09And I think I texted you all and was like, well,
- 20:11he'll be fine. Like, you know, he'll get hired
- 20:13somewhere else. Everybody, they get a job. Like
- 20:15lay low, you'll get another job. Because we've
- 20:19seen this before, right? Bobby Petrino down in
- 20:23Arkansas with the coed on his motorcycle. Urban
- 20:28Meyer partying. Partying with co -ed, you know,
- 20:32with the college co -eds at the bar. Rick Pitino
- 20:37involved in a blackmail scandal where he's, you
- 20:41know, getting with cheating with a woman at a
- 20:44restaurant. And even recently, we talked about
- 20:49Lane Kiffin and all his craziness changing jobs,
- 20:53but there's rumors out there about him too, about
- 20:57texting and messaging, you know. Again, allegedly.
- 21:02So, and as I mentioned to you too, Lane Kiffin
- 21:07keeps getting a job. Urban Meyer is on TV now
- 21:11as an analyst. He's still got a job. He ain't
- 21:13coaching, but he's still got a job, right? Dude,
- 21:16I got one better for you. Bobby Patrino still
- 21:20got hired again, back to Louisville. Yeah, I'm
- 21:23gonna, Rick Patino still, so I think Sharon Moore's
- 21:26fine. if it had stopped at, hey, you got fired
- 21:30for this scandal. But yeah, give me what you
- 21:33got. Art Briles, Baylor, all the sexual assaults,
- 21:39the cover -ups. Who else? Yeah, Mel Tucker at
- 21:42Michigan State. Dude, like there's plenty of
- 21:45these where, and this is a, yeah, it happens
- 21:48over and over again. And listen, I'm not the
- 21:54biggest college football guy. Anyway, so I always
- 21:59try to be objective when it comes to this but
- 22:01college football is soured with College football
- 22:07is soured with The head football coaches being
- 22:12the dictators that run the program get all the
- 22:16shine get all the credit using young men's bodies
- 22:19to succeed winning football games. And then when
- 22:23things go sideways and the corruption and everything
- 22:25comes into play, whether it's in the form of,
- 22:28you know, like you said, mistresses or money
- 22:32being moved around or sexual assaults, somehow
- 22:36they can always come back with their hands totally
- 22:39clean. Like it's not a big deal. I mean, and
- 22:43this is another thing, like you said, you're
- 22:44talking about like, Uh, you mentioned like urban
- 22:47Meyer. Urban Meyer literally had murders take
- 22:52place on his roster while he was a coach and
- 22:55none of that stuff. And none of that stuff seems
- 22:57to follow him. You know what I mean? Like, I
- 22:59mean, and obviously I'm not, I'm not saying that
- 23:01he knew what I'm not saying that he was contributing
- 23:03to it, but these are things that happened on
- 23:05his watch and it's still not even associated
- 23:08with them. So, you know, this is This is a, with
- 23:13Michigan, this is a terrible situation. And I'm
- 23:17not one of these people that just feels bad for
- 23:19someone who's going through a situation that
- 23:22they put themselves in. This one's a little unique
- 23:25because when all the shit hit the fan and things
- 23:29started to get out of hand, this gentleman apparently
- 23:33went to the, well, I'll just kill myself. I'll
- 23:35kill you and I'll kill myself if things don't
- 23:37go my way. And I know I actually texted that
- 23:39to you earlier. Yeah, you're right though. Yeah,
- 23:42and it's like it so it I think this is going
- 23:45to be different for him That is a that's a hell
- 23:48of an indictment for you to have as the leader
- 23:52of young men for a college football program It's
- 23:56going to be hard for people to look past that
- 23:58You know, hopefully he's got some money stashed
- 24:01somewhere and hopefully his divorce doesn't take
- 24:03everything from him, but he is the What's the
- 24:07best way for me to put this? he is the he gets
- 24:12the least amount of sympathy from me throughout
- 24:17this entire situation. He's last on the list.
- 24:20His wife, the mistress, the team, the players.
- 24:24No, his kids. His children? Yes. Like every,
- 24:27no. But what I'm saying is everybody gets sympathy.
- 24:32He's last on the list. He just happened to take
- 24:35this the hardest and he also happened to be the
- 24:38person who initiated he struck the match that
- 24:42lit all of this shit on fire and i'm not going
- 24:45to give him a pass on it so i don't think this
- 24:48is something he recovers from and that may be
- 24:52ridiculous thinking about all the list of names
- 24:54that we just rattled off of coaches who've done
- 24:56terrible things and they all got jobs but I think
- 24:59the fact that when it all started to crash and
- 25:01burn he's like I'll just take myself out it's
- 25:04like come on man you don't want that in your
- 25:07building you don't want that attached to your
- 25:08program and you don't want that lead to your
- 25:10football team. No I mean again like you said
- 25:13there's no sympathy for him he did it to himself
- 25:17if if all this is true But it went from, like
- 25:24we said, it went from bad to worse in a hot second.
- 25:30And that's a, I think he's showing some mental
- 25:34weakness on his side. And again, you just gotta
- 25:37be honest and own it. You know what I mean? So
- 25:41yeah, he didn't handle it great. Michigan apparently
- 25:44knew about this for a while and they finally
- 25:47got the evidence I guess they needed to fire
- 25:50him so that's a whole nother story because again
- 25:53you got recruits you got players involved and
- 25:57I just the only thing I say is that this you
- 26:01know that more really If ever has been someone
- 26:06fumble an opportunity right You know, he filled
- 26:10in for Jim Harbaugh when Harbaugh was suspended.
- 26:12They won a national championship. He become the
- 26:15first black head coach at Michigan. He's in his
- 26:18second year. They still a solid program. I think
- 26:21it's a solid job for whoever's gonna get that
- 26:23job. And, you know, for him to basically lose
- 26:28the job and then have the family issues too,
- 26:32man, all in a span of 24 hours, it is a tough
- 26:36story and a tough situation. But again, no sympathy
- 26:39for him. But I'm like, damn, he fumbled. What
- 26:44an opportunity that he had. And he really, to
- 26:50use that football term, fumbled it. And then
- 26:53I remember another situation that was totally
- 26:57different. Do you remember Pokey Chapman, the
- 27:03LSU women's coach, basketball coach? Wow, yeah.
- 27:08She had to quit coaching because she had a relationship
- 27:11with a player. So that is another name to add
- 27:19to this list of shame. I don't know what she's
- 27:23doing now. I know she had gotten hired to LSU
- 27:26and was an up and coming coach. And then of course
- 27:30had to, like I said, she had to quit for having
- 27:33a relationship with a player. So staff member
- 27:36player, you know, these leaders, these coaches,
- 27:38they got to do better. And again, you know. They're
- 27:44in college and I only think it matters in college
- 27:46that we mentioned, you know, you don't go with
- 27:48the Celtics, you know, female members of the
- 27:51staff now are more and more prominent in the
- 27:53in sports. They're they're they're assistant
- 27:56coaches, they're trainers, they're whatever,
- 27:58you know, whatever their own staff. And these
- 28:01leaders have to do better. because again, you
- 28:05know, dude, I said more how to, he had a good
- 28:08deal there at Michigan. Yeah. No, a damn good
- 28:12deal. And it's so funny. You use the proper words
- 28:16to describe that. And you just saying just, you
- 28:17know, just, you know, females in, in, in sports
- 28:22roles. Yeah. And you know, as assistants and
- 28:25things of that nature, uh, Pokey Chapman is now
- 28:28a current assistant coach since 2022. for the
- 28:33Seattle Storm. Okay, so not college. Not college.
- 28:37No, oh, no, not at all. She went out of college
- 28:42and went straight into the professional ranks,
- 28:44you know, where everyone there is an adult. So
- 28:46I guess maybe that's okay for you to date, you
- 28:48know, a player. I don't know. I don't know what
- 28:52their rules are. But I'm just saying, yeah, like
- 28:54you say, Udoka, staff member. I mean, you know,
- 28:58it's a different level. I mean... That's what
- 29:01I'm saying, like more could he be an assistant
- 29:04in the NFL? Or maybe one day down the road, I
- 29:08mean, we don't know how this is gonna unfold.
- 29:10Cuz like you said, we're still waiting on details.
- 29:13Everything we talked about, like I said, is alleged.
- 29:16But we don't know how this has really just happened.
- 29:20And we don't know what's gonna happen with them.
- 29:22Hopefully it works out in some way for everyone,
- 29:27where there's nothing crazy. too crazy. That's
- 29:30what's already happened. But I don't know where
- 29:35he goes. Like I said, we don't know all the details.
- 29:37We don't know how it's going to unfold. But again,
- 29:39maybe it's an assistant job later in the NFL.
- 29:42Maybe he coaches high school. I don't know. Yeah.
- 29:46Like I said, he's going to be a real reclamation
- 29:49project. And I think I kind of gave you the blueprint.
- 29:53for him earlier when we were texting about it.
- 29:55I think the thing for him is to fix himself,
- 30:00get whatever tutelage, get whatever counseling,
- 30:05get whatever professional help that you can get,
- 30:08and then just ease yourself. The last thing on
- 30:10his mind should be football. And maybe football
- 30:15is one of those things. I know a lot of guys
- 30:17like to treat, especially people within the professional
- 30:19ranks. You know, they look at sports as their
- 30:23outlet. It's therapeutic for them. And clearly
- 30:27this wasn't therapeutic enough for him to not
- 30:29make the mistakes that he made. You know, I think
- 30:32he'll be okay with some time, but you know, him
- 30:36trying to rush back into something, I think he
- 30:38needs to take some time off and make sure that
- 30:40his family life and everything is straight. Work
- 30:42on himself and then we can start to have those
- 30:44types of conversations. But I mean, he'll be
- 30:47okay. I know his bank account looked better than
- 30:48mine. Yeah, he yeah, I think I think ultimately
- 30:52long as nothing crazy happened. I think he'll
- 30:55be fine He had his Tiger Woods moment now. He
- 30:58can like you said take care of himself I'm not
- 31:02just saying like yeah, you know he did he had
- 31:05his Tiger Woods moment and like I said Yeah,
- 31:07like he's I agree take care of himself and then
- 31:10one day maybe get back to football Yeah Yeah,
- 31:14I think that's all it's the only thing he'll
- 31:17be able to do All right, so that is another episode
