- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:29Good morning from the In Coop. So how often do you have
- 0:34something that you have to say to somebody or that you have to
- 0:38do and then you do it and then afterwards, you lament it over
- 0:42and over and over and over or you even lamented decision over
- 0:46and over and over, and over of that you've already made.
- 0:49But you lament the decision you've made.
- 0:52So this seems to be coming up a lot lately with clients.
- 0:55So, I figured that I would run this through you guys to because
- 0:59I think this is important information.
- 1:00Shit. It is human nature to Monday,
- 1:04Morning Quarterback. So to speak where we sit there
- 1:07and we say, oh, I could have done this or I should have done
- 1:10this or I could have said it this way or why did I say that?
- 1:14I have no idea why I said such a thing and we drive ourselves
- 1:17insane doing this. And I particularly seeing that
- 1:23this year, because people are feeling through this season, the
- 1:28need to say yes to To a lot more people.
- 1:31And, you know, yesterday we talked about this week, we
- 1:33talked about saying, no, not sure if it was yesterday or not,
- 1:35but we talked about saying no to people, but yet people have
- 1:39said, yes. And then they go ahead and then
- 1:43they get worked up about the fact that they said, yes.
- 1:47And what am I going to do? And how am I going to change
- 1:49this? It's not what I really wanted
- 1:51because you knew all along you didn't want to say yes and then
- 1:55you turned around and said it anyway.
- 1:56So then you Lament The yes, or you are talking to somebody The
- 2:00middle of something, you say something to them and then you
- 2:04just are not happy with the fact that you said it, or more
- 2:07importantly, you didn't say something, you kept it inside,
- 2:12you walked it away. And you said, I'm just going to
- 2:15say what's appropriate or you just reacted in the moment not
- 2:18even knowing what was going to be appropriate.
- 2:20But you just answered however, this happens constantly and
- 2:27everybody that has every person walking the planet has been in
- 2:30this point. Point where we have all been
- 2:32there, we've all done that, we've all made, those little
- 2:36choices in the moment and then gone, what the hell was I
- 2:40thinking when I did that and would be fine to have that
- 2:43thought, right? You could easily have the
- 2:45thought like what was I thinking where we get so screwed up?
- 2:49Is that we go and we start lamenting it over and over and
- 2:53over and over and we keep saying that to ourselves.
- 2:56We keep doing that to ourselves and in the process of doing that
- 2:59over and over and over. And over.
- 3:01And over we take away any chance we have of learning from it
- 3:07because we're not asking the right question.
- 3:09This all comes down to asking the right question, very much.
- 3:13So we have to ask the right questions if we want to get
- 3:17answers, we have to ask the right questions.
- 3:19If we want to have shifts in our identity shifts in how we show
- 3:23up shifts in what we do, we have to ask better questions.
- 3:26You all have heard me say this before on here but it's so
- 3:30important. Aunt must change that must speak
- 3:34into the right question in order for our brain to give us better
- 3:37answers. So it's imperative, it's
- 3:40imperative. Can't say that enough that you
- 3:42stop and save yourself. What can I learn from this?
- 3:47What will I do different next time?
- 3:49Like you actually have to say to yourself?
- 3:50What will I do? Different next time?
- 3:52What will my choice is B next time.
- 3:56How will I know I'll choose the right thing next time.
- 3:59Well you give yourself a sign. You say?
- 4:03When this comes up again because it comes up often with this
- 4:05person or this type of situation that I'm always in.
- 4:08I'm going to use this as a clue. I'm going to use this as a clue.
- 4:12So for me I can tell you in my mind how this works.
- 4:17I am the person that will often say I used too often and once
- 4:23they do it on you anymore, it still does come up every so
- 4:25often but someone will invite me to something and I may seem like
- 4:30a huge extrovert But I'm more of an, a ver where I switch gears
- 4:36and I like to be home, I want that introvert.
- 4:40I don't ever feel alone, probably because I have 37 tons
- 4:45and a bunch of other animals, but I just my beliefs don't
- 4:50allow me to feel alone because they're so strong and I have
- 4:53such conviction with them. So it's very easy for me to
- 4:57disconnect from people. It's very easy for me to just be
- 5:00okay by myself, so, So I will often say I'm going to do
- 5:05something and then I, when the time is growing closer, I will
- 5:10start to feel like I don't want to do it, but there's always a
- 5:14clue long before that right in the beginning.
- 5:17When I get asked the question, I will hear myself in my head.
- 5:21I'll be like There's a sigh and it's subtle.
- 5:26It's a subtle subtle sigh. There's not a like an
- 5:31excitement, it's not words, it's a feeling.
- 5:34It's a quick little tell. If you will about what's about
- 5:38to happen and it's a pattern that gets put into motion, so
- 5:43you have to be acutely aware of your little tiny tells in this,
- 5:47like, what is it? What is that, little teeny weeny
- 5:50tell that you could possibly pull out?
- 5:53So that you wouldn't have that situation and this is it.
- 5:56So I'm going to encourage you to figure out what are your little
- 6:00signs ahead of time so that you don't get yourself stuck and
- 6:03more importantly, I'm going to encourage you wholeheartedly to
- 6:06please please, please realize that it's one okay to do this
- 6:13because it's human, everybody does it.
- 6:15It's not okay to keep doing it over and over and not changing
- 6:18your approach of how you're going to fix it.
- 6:21So that's what you have to go back and look.
- 6:23At. Look at that portion of.
- 6:24It's ok that it happened. But moving forward, you write
- 6:28down your new questions. You ask yourself, those better
- 6:31questions. You make better choices in the
- 6:33moments and then it won't keep happening and you'll be able to
- 6:35change the pattern. So hopefully this is helpful for
- 6:38all of you and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 6:42Have a blessed day. Bye.
