  hear today's play from Luke chapter 10.

  It says, "The harvest is plentiful, but

  the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the
• 0:18
  harvest, therefore, to send out workers
• 0:20
  into his harvest field. Go, I am sending
• 0:22
  you out like lambs among wolves." The 72

  returned with joy and said, 'Lord, even

  the demons submit to us in your name. He

  replied,"I saw Satan fall like lightning
• 0:33
  from heaven." At that time, Jesus full

  of joy through the Holy Spirit said, "I

  praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and

  earth, because you have hidden these

  things from the wise and learned and

  What brings God joy? Is that even one of

  our objectives to bring God joy?

  Pleasing others more than ourselves is a

  sign of maturity and the deepest love.

  The scriptures state that God in Jesus

  was full of joy upon the return of his
• 1:12
  disciples short-term mission trip. Jesus

  was full of joy because they were
• 1:17
  obedient to the work of God which is
• 1:19
  greatly needed. The harvest is
• 1:21
  plentiful, but the workers are few. He

  was full of joy because he saw the
• 1:26
  effects of that work. Satan fell like
• 1:28
  lightning from the
• 1:30
  sky. Jesus was full of joy because it
• 1:33
  was the humble, the simple, the faithful
• 1:36
  who obeyed him for his purpose and
• 1:38
  glory. And not men seeking glory and
• 1:40
  honor for themselves trying to create an
• 1:43
  audience of praise for who they are, but
• 1:45
  instead a people focused on glorifying
• 1:48
  God. The harvest remains plentiful and
• 1:52
  the number of workers remains few. If we
• 1:55
  would bring joy to God our savior, we
• 1:57
  will engage in the mission of the
• 1:59
  disciple which is the great commission.

  We will go as he commands to lead all we
• 2:05
  know to salvation through Jesus the
• 2:07
  savior. We'll go to as many as we can to
• 2:10
  share God's love for all humanity

  through the life, death, and
• 2:14
  resurrection of Jesus who is the savior
