Sixty-Year Sentence for Meth Kingpin | Odessa News
A Texas man, Simon Hernandez, 56, just received a staggering 60-year sentence for trafficking 200-400 grams of meth—nearly half a pound—caught red-handed in a November 2025 bust. With a violent criminal history including aggravated assault and obstruction of justice, his past turned this into a mandatory minimum. He’ll be eligible for parole after 15 years, but this is effectively a life sentence.
