- 0:47Speaker 4: And I've known you for now on thirty seven years now.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Of course we met in primary school all those years
- 0:53Speaker 4: ago and the Hokitika, yeah man. And as time's going on,
- 0:57Speaker 4: you know, you become more and more of an enigma
- 1:00Speaker 4: to me, more and more of a mystery. And that's
- 1:02Speaker 4: what I like in my men. I've got to be
- 1:03Speaker 4: honest with you. A freezing cold day here in the
- 1:06Speaker 4: nine you'd expect at this time of year, things too
- 1:09Speaker 4: to summer.
- 1:10Speaker 2: You be wrong. Yeah, you'll be wrong. Sure. Sure. When
- 1:14Speaker 2: you're thinking about me though, I mean you're thinking like
- 1:17Speaker 2: bad boy.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so you see I always ran that sort
- 1:20Speaker 3: of image when I was a young buck. You would
- 1:23Speaker 3: have been about five, because all the ladies go, he's
- 1:25Speaker 3: a bad boy.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I got to make him right, you know what I mean?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Ess were the days, I'll tell you what.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Pug's Hey, you're running the corgy hoss here do to
- 1:34Speaker 3: this end of a corg?
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, thanks, shut your dog. But seriously, looks good man.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I like it.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Thank you, I appreciate that. Yeah, happy to be with you.
- 1:44Speaker 4: The man.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Just a little bit.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Man, What do you put it in there?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Brother?
- 1:46Speaker 4: Because you know, I just woke up, rolled out of
- 1:50Speaker 4: bed less sort of a look to it.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's what it says, sort of on the
- 1:53Speaker 5: front of the container.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Is a moose?
- 1:56Speaker 2: Is it a what is it?
- 1:57Speaker 6: I'd say it's close to the consistency of a moose. Yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 6: maybe a little harder. It's sort of a mat look.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I use a wax we can tell, which I don't
- 2:09Speaker 3: really like very much because it's very glutenous and very
- 2:12Speaker 3: sticky mogi and it's it's not it's very thick.
- 2:15Speaker 4: You're talking about on your bullos.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very thick, and so I have to sort
- 2:19Speaker 3: of spread it around my hands, and it's very hard to.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Not clump in my ear.
- 2:24Speaker 3: And sometimes it looks like someone's evacuated the contents of
- 2:29Speaker 3: their nostrils in my hair. Sure, because it's got that
- 2:32Speaker 3: sort of bits of wax and stuff. And they Hey,
- 2:35Speaker 3: now listen, we have a massive shower head films. Good God,
- 2:40Speaker 3: where do we begin? Where do we begin? I tell
- 2:42Speaker 3: you where we begin?
- 2:43Speaker 1: A bit of the old food Fighters, the whole big
- 2:48Speaker 1: shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Chezy.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Green Day there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 2:55Speaker 3: Wednesday afternoon. Hope it's treating you well your Wednesday.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Just on that front.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Full disclosure to the audience. Actually, we just got delivered
- 3:04Speaker 3: some free food. I won't say what the food was, Magie, No,
- 3:09Speaker 3: just just say chicken and nugget form and.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It was a big bag of it.
- 3:16Speaker 3: An old Hoidy j was a bit peckish and I
- 3:20Speaker 3: hod in big time. And now I'm feeling decidedly nauseous
- 3:27Speaker 3: because I just went too hard. Yeah you know what
- 3:30Speaker 3: I mean. And I just gorged myself.
- 3:32Speaker 4: You can have too much of a good thing, you can,
- 3:35Speaker 4: you can speaking of good things can. I also sort
- 3:38Speaker 4: of slowed us down somewhere. It was sort of a
- 3:41Speaker 4: bit of a chicken and nugget form coma.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yes, yes, very much a food coma. Hey, but right
- 3:49Speaker 3: now it's time for big Pole and the question today
- 4:02Speaker 3: trick or treating is?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Or name trading is?
- 4:05Speaker 4: Or no? Here we are, aren't we wedding Joe? We're
- 4:07Speaker 4: on the eve of Halloween. Yes, an American holiday, one
- 4:11Speaker 4: that's been trying to get its claws into New Zealand
- 4:14Speaker 4: culture for forty five years.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Also I remember being a kid, and as a kid,
- 4:22Speaker 4: of course, you want you want Halloween is a great idea. Absolutely,
- 4:25Speaker 4: there's one hundred percent support from kids right across the
- 4:29Speaker 4: world for a holiday like this, which is you get
- 4:31Speaker 4: dressed up, you go and knock on someone's door. Yes,
- 4:36Speaker 4: yes that was. But I remember going to my next
- 4:44Speaker 4: door neighbor was when I was about six or seven.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I had a an eight mass that I was wearing.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I knocked on the door. I said trick or treat.
- 4:51Speaker 4: She didn't know what I was talking about. Missus McGill.
- 4:53Speaker 4: There she was probably in her eighties, and she said,
- 4:55Speaker 4: come back when I know what you're talking about. And
- 4:58Speaker 4: so so we broken house and we stole about forty bucks. Yes, sweet,
- 5:03Speaker 4: So it was a good trick. It was a good
- 5:05Speaker 4: trick that one.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 4: But as you get older and you become a parent
- 5:09Speaker 4: and your kids want.
- 5:09Speaker 3: To go trick or treating, pain in the bullets in
- 5:13Speaker 3: the bullets, Well, I'll be honest with you, Mogi, I
- 5:15Speaker 3: can't actually ever remember as a kid going trick or
- 5:18Speaker 3: treating or even having Halloween. But certainly when my girls
- 5:22Speaker 3: were growing up, it was a big thing in my
- 5:24Speaker 3: household and I just hate it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I just refused to do it. And so my wife
- 5:30Speaker 2: would always have to do it. And she's one of.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Those people too that's really big on costumes when the
- 5:35Speaker 3: girls were little, so she'd spend hours making these amazing
- 5:39Speaker 3: costumes and stuff and I just hate it, and so
- 5:42Speaker 3: she would always have to be the one that would
- 5:44Speaker 3: accompany them to strangers houses, getting sweets off strangers. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 3: And I was just never into it. I'm still not
- 5:52Speaker 3: into it. And I don't like people coming to my
- 5:54Speaker 3: house and knocking on my door.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So what I do is I leave my dog outside.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and Rue is ferocious, Like if you were to
- 6:03Speaker 3: walk up to my gate, she would scare the living
- 6:06Speaker 3: but Jesus out of you because she's got a hell
- 6:08Speaker 3: of a bark on her. So I just leave her
- 6:10Speaker 3: out and that seems to sort of send the kids away. Also,
- 6:13Speaker 3: I have an advantage where people find it very hard
- 6:16Speaker 3: to find the path to my house, right it's quite
- 6:19Speaker 3: well headen, and so often you'll get people walking past
- 6:22Speaker 3: my house trying to get to my house, going.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Do you how do you get in there?
- 6:27Speaker 3: And I don't encourage that either, And if a kid
- 6:31Speaker 3: does actually get to get through, I just scream at
- 6:35Speaker 3: them God.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Property, Yes, sons of baits. But I'm curious because I know.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And then you've got the people around the neighborhood that
- 6:43Speaker 3: cover their houses and Halloween type stuff and blow up
- 6:47Speaker 3: dolls and witches, and I just go, ohlow up, that's
- 6:50Speaker 3: just going to turn into a wet environmental mess. Sure
- 6:55Speaker 3: you know what I mean, But I'm curious to know
- 6:59Speaker 3: what the punters feel at it, whether New Zealand has
- 7:01Speaker 3: fully adopted it. On three four eight three or go
- 7:04Speaker 3: to our Instagram account let us know your views.
- 7:07Speaker 6: There to be prize packs to give her as well
- 7:09Speaker 6: to everybody who votes. Also send us a talkback on
- 7:12Speaker 6: the iHeartRadio app or microphone button there We'll give us
- 7:15Speaker 6: a call.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Yeah, nine hundred Hold Hokey.
- 7:20Speaker 1: The Holdiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 7:23Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodichy.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You missed the Big Show Big Poll Today it was
- 7:29Speaker 3: trick or treating? Yay or nay hoody j of firm
- 7:32Speaker 3: Nay Mogi. Now that you've got a kid a nay.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 4: I don't know, man, I'm sort of wondering whether I
- 7:40Speaker 4: should just embrace it. I was literally talking to the
- 7:43Speaker 4: wife about it to that is because my vibe is
- 7:46Speaker 4: also a no, because it's just another way to feed
- 7:51Speaker 4: them up on lollies. Yes, and I just like, like
- 7:54Speaker 4: my my daughter's dentist last week said no more lollies,
- 7:59Speaker 4: no more OLLI is for you, and my daughter laughed
- 8:02Speaker 4: and they did said I'm not joking. So then you
- 8:05Speaker 4: get Halloween comes on and my kid is fizzing. Man,
- 8:08Speaker 4: let's go hear it. Yeah? Yeah, it actually and this
- 8:11Speaker 4: is without a word of a lie. She was actually
- 8:13Speaker 4: in tears this morning because you found out that you
- 8:16Speaker 4: actually still have to go to school on Halloween years old,
- 8:20Speaker 4: and she said, what I still have to learn on Halloween?
- 8:25Speaker 4: And so she's fizzing about it. So I think what
- 8:28Speaker 4: we're going to do is go around to six neighbors.
- 8:32Speaker 4: I'm going to go around and see them tonight or
- 8:35Speaker 4: tomorrow and say to them and supply them with something
- 8:39Speaker 4: to get things to give her, because you can't just
- 8:43Speaker 4: keep on jacking them up on that that yeah, that ship.
- 8:46Speaker 4: But then at the same time and ah man, I
- 8:48Speaker 4: let them have fun. That that Christ they have more
- 8:51Speaker 4: fun than they have anything else.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Your daughter is really like a responsible way to do it.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Like you're saying, all right, we'll make it really easy
- 8:59Speaker 6: for you. She gets to get what she wants. But
- 9:00Speaker 6: also it's not like a random and it's also not
- 9:03Speaker 6: random candy.
- 9:04Speaker 2: We can we're controlling it a little bit more. Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I mean my girls were the same that they get
- 9:10Speaker 3: so fixed up about it, They get so fizzed up
- 9:13Speaker 3: about it, and the idea that they can't do it
- 9:16Speaker 3: is just be on the pale for them.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Down territory.
- 9:20Speaker 4: All the other kids at school are doing it. Like
- 9:21Speaker 4: we turn up at school today and a little girl
- 9:24Speaker 4: came up to my daughter, said, do you know it's
- 9:26Speaker 4: Halloween tomorrow? And so they ad just you know, they're fizzy,
- 9:30Speaker 4: ready to go.
- 9:31Speaker 2: What are they saying on the textual machine? There? The
- 9:35Speaker 2: what PUGSN? Three four eight three the what machine? What
- 9:39Speaker 2: are they saying on the text machine? They're PUGSN.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Grew up being told of stranger danger and don't take
- 9:44Speaker 6: sweets from people you don't know. But once a year
- 9:46Speaker 6: it's now okay to go to a random stranger's house
- 9:48Speaker 6: and ask for sweets.
- 9:49Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Well, this is a good one here, that's just coming
- 9:53Speaker 4: glad moogi, ain't my dad wanker? So? And this is
- 9:57Speaker 4: and this is the thing though, right, it's like my
- 10:00Speaker 4: daughter's teeth are bad from eating shit food and because
- 10:04Speaker 4: she's got her first teeth a bit more vulnerable, she
- 10:06Speaker 4: brushes every morning every night. The dentist has said she's
- 10:10Speaker 4: got to stop eating lollies because they are putting holes
- 10:13Speaker 4: in her teeth. Yes, so I say, okay, you can't
- 10:15Speaker 4: have lollies. And now I'm a wankery because because I'm
- 10:19Speaker 4: a bad father for not feeding my kid up on Lolli's.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you're a shocker.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Man The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Someone asking the question, where's Keezy? He's on holiday? He's
- 10:33Speaker 2: on holiday today?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Actually I did holiday is just sort of wandering around lostamelessly. Well,
- 10:42Speaker 4: I mean look pretty happy. I mean it was hammered. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 4: I mean about midday. That's that's a given, isn't you know?
- 10:48Speaker 2: He's just sort of wandering around with a few beers and.
- 10:50Speaker 4: That back got ony. However, you want to spend your holiday?
- 10:55Speaker 2: What am I? Who am I to say? Exactly? You
- 10:57Speaker 2: know what I mean? Fill your boots. Yeah. I was
- 10:59Speaker 2: meant to be playing with him tomorrow, but he canceled
- 11:02Speaker 2: on me.
- 11:03Speaker 4: He'll tell me about that because he's going to be
- 11:05Speaker 4: steamed tomorrow as well.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Well, I mean he was steamed when I played with
- 11:08Speaker 3: him last I mean that shouldn't you know. Starting he's
- 11:13Speaker 3: actually I'd be curious to see what he'd be like
- 11:16Speaker 3: when he wasn't steamed.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yes, you know what I mean?
- 11:19Speaker 6: Yeah, very high functioning when steamed as kesy Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Well no, I mean I mean he's doing the radio
- 11:29Speaker 5: for you.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, you know listen cool the Money World Champs
- 11:36Speaker 2: is bat Fellows.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it is already yeah, I couldn't, but I was stunned,
- 11:43Speaker 3: stunned when I saw that in the dock.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Very stunned.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Yeah, the sun's coming back out, Fells, and that means
- 11:49Speaker 6: it's mone Who season.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Baby.
- 11:51Speaker 6: You can actually register at Mona World Champs dot Com
- 11:54Speaker 6: from this Friday, and there's ten qualifying events across. You
- 11:58Speaker 6: might remember those from last year, kicking off with the
- 12:00Speaker 6: first one and total on the seventh of December, so
- 12:02Speaker 6: you've got a bit of time to practice your money there, Jason, Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Good stuff.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Well, actually I recall what happened last time because you
- 12:09Speaker 3: were going to jump off the highest thing and then
- 12:11Speaker 3: something that you got your bulloss burned or something.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm not sure it was the that was the reason.
- 12:20Speaker 4: But ultimately I couldn't do two things I was I
- 12:22Speaker 4: had something else booked. I wonder what there would have been.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Are you going to do it this year? Mogi? Well,
- 12:27Speaker 2: I haven't had any chats about. I don't know.
- 12:29Speaker 4: If it's not starting to a December then probably not
- 12:31Speaker 4: because I'll be away.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Oh yes, you are all of December, aren't you.
- 12:35Speaker 6: You could do something at the Grand Final though, and
- 12:37Speaker 6: Tamaki Makoto on Saturday, the first of March. There is
- 12:40Speaker 6: forty grand in cash and prizes to be won.
- 12:44Speaker 4: So this is this money Will Champs. This goes for
- 12:48Speaker 4: four months of the year, so it's sort of like
- 12:50Speaker 4: a Super Rugby season or the NRL.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yes, something like four months, right, okay, so the round robin,
- 12:57Speaker 2: the semis, yeah, the finals.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, nice, get involved if you want to win heaps.

- 13:11Speaker 2: I do a mean money. Sure.
- 13:18Speaker 1: The Hdiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy tune
- 13:21Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
- 13:23Speaker 3: You're welcome back, your messive backbones who are listening to
- 13:26Speaker 3: the Big Show, brought to you by Tilly get in

- 13:32Speaker 3: he's got the week off. He's going to be returning
- 13:35Speaker 3: forthwith next Monday. Now there's something I want to mention,
- 13:42Speaker 3: and I'm not being silly, oh but it's something that
- 13:45Speaker 3: I've noticed quite a lot over the last couple of days.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And I don't know if you if you've noticed this either, pugs.
- 13:55Speaker 3: This seems to me, okay, to be a number of
- 14:00Speaker 3: woman that have the absolute hearts for old Mogi, because
- 14:06Speaker 3: I have noticed two or three women walk past our
- 14:11Speaker 3: studio many many times and to paint a picture our
- 14:13Speaker 3: studio's glass, and the public just walks around it. Who
- 14:17Speaker 3: give Mogi the elongated long stair? I e look at me,
- 14:23Speaker 3: look at me, look at me, look at me. You're
- 14:25Speaker 3: oblivious Mogi because you're blind in that eye and often
- 14:31Speaker 3: they're walking behind you.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But the big stare right. Have you noticed anything like that?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Are you aware of? Right o?
- 14:42Speaker 4: Certainly heaven And of course I'm a married man.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I know that, and I didn't want to suggest any
- 14:48Speaker 3: impropriety on your behalf, but I have definitely noticed. Maybe
- 14:53Speaker 3: it's summer, maybe you know, people are just sort of
- 14:55Speaker 3: feeling good and they're saying old MOGGI there and it's
- 14:58Speaker 3: tidy whitey and going, oh, SERI, Bob, have you noticed that,
- 15:02Speaker 3: pug Son.
- 15:02Speaker 6: I mean, I feel like it's not a new thing.
- 15:05Speaker 6: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, right, yeah, I mean it's it's been a long
- 15:10Speaker 3: while since anyone's tried to hold old Hoody Jay's games,
- 15:15Speaker 3: you know, I've got the eyes out.
- 15:17Speaker 4: You're often pressed up against the glass.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so that might sort of freak people out and
- 15:22Speaker 3: put people off.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I wasn't aware of that at all. But it's flattering,
- 15:25Speaker 4: isn't It's nice to know. But you know, I mean,
- 15:28Speaker 4: best of a pretty bad bunch, can I say that?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Wow?
- 15:32Speaker 4: Hang on?
- 15:33Speaker 3: I mean, you know, having said that, our Pug Soun's
- 15:35Speaker 3: doing okay, you know what I mean.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I say that in jest because obviously Pugs has got
- 15:41Speaker 4: a few years on our sordy j I'm still going
- 15:44Speaker 4: to be letting the old pipe there and.
- 15:47Speaker 2: He put it to you.
- 15:50Speaker 8: Hey.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Next up, we're going to be speaking to Brenda Murray
- 15:53Speaker 3: who had a flesh eating infection on it Scrooton and
- 15:58Speaker 3: his Perenium.
- 16:00Speaker 1: The Hlucky Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hrarcky.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Very special guests on the show with us Today, a
- 16:08Speaker 3: fellow by the name of Brendan Murray MOGI who went
- 16:11Speaker 3: through well, what can only be described as a bit
- 16:15Speaker 3: of a horrific experience, and he's been a real backbone
- 16:20Speaker 3: about it actually, and he's been pretty upfront about what
- 16:23Speaker 3: happened to him. We've got Brennan on the phone now
- 16:26Speaker 3: got a Brendan, your massive backbone house life.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Oh hey, it's a lot better now than what it
- 16:32Speaker 7: was forty five days ago. Anyway, let's put it that way.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I can imagine.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Well, Brendan, just for the listeners out there, mate, talk
- 16:39Speaker 3: us through what actually happened with you?
- 16:42Speaker 7: Yes, Like I'm a top two diabetic, but I probably
- 16:48Speaker 7: probably don't look after the seauff as well as well.
- 16:50Speaker 7: I probably should. But I just got to weave it
- 16:53Speaker 7: a tape in between the leagues. One day, like just
- 16:55Speaker 7: a ingrown here, we've the chasen didn't think much of it.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Has hit one hundred times or four normally goes away
- 17:02Speaker 7: after a couple of days. So after a couple of
- 17:06Speaker 7: days it was still there. Hit a weed the lump
- 17:07Speaker 7: and beout the size of a marble sort of thing,
- 17:09Speaker 7: and oh yeah, I'll give it a squeeze and just
- 17:15Speaker 7: as you do, jump the sheer get it hot. You've
- 17:18Speaker 7: got to weave. It got to weave with a pass
- 17:19Speaker 7: ahead of a year and at good all of a sudden,
- 17:22Speaker 7: the next day it was with a bigger a. I
- 17:24Speaker 7: was like, ship, she's escalated pretty fast. So she's been
- 17:27Speaker 7: at the size of a squashborn. Now wow, and so
- 17:31Speaker 7: did the same thing again, jumping the sheer, yeah ahead
- 17:34Speaker 7: of you're all good.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Well.
- 17:36Speaker 7: By about a third day, I was going to drive
- 17:38Speaker 7: down the room my son was playing rugby for seaplan
- 17:42Speaker 7: under eight ens. I said, I'll shoot up the here
- 17:44Speaker 7: two three air drive from where I live, jumped in
- 17:47Speaker 7: the work track. Got to be a two minutes up
- 17:50Speaker 7: the road and we're all now hold on, gotta get
- 17:52Speaker 7: home all I can't even set up the truck. Got home,
- 17:57Speaker 7: bat up on the keyups, typical, typical old all mean
- 18:00Speaker 7: sort of thing. You know. To be right, I'll be
- 18:02Speaker 7: right and wait until my wife got home. Explained to
- 18:05Speaker 7: her a bit more about what was going on, and
- 18:08Speaker 7: I said, I'll have a hot bath and just give
- 18:10Speaker 7: another squeeze, keep some more stuff out. By monday we'll
- 18:13Speaker 7: be all good. So this was a Sunday. This was
- 18:15Speaker 7: a Sunday night. So at seven o'clock Saturday night, I've
- 18:19Speaker 7: done what I said I was going to do, and
- 18:22Speaker 7: you wife said, you're not looking at good or I
- 18:25Speaker 7: think you need to go to the hospital. I was
- 18:27Speaker 7: like that it would be right by monday. It should
- 18:29Speaker 7: be all good. Tomorrow is another day and another half
- 18:33Speaker 7: here went past. She said that you're you're going to
- 18:35Speaker 7: the hospital. That you're you're going downhill real fast. We
- 18:40Speaker 7: went to the loaf, went to the local A and
- 18:42Speaker 7: E and he he got me up on the bead
- 18:45Speaker 7: straight away, give me some pain relief and cap this
- 18:48Speaker 7: wee lump open and got a few bit of stuff
- 18:50Speaker 7: out of it. See, you know, I'm not really happy.
- 18:55Speaker 7: We might keep you over night. You're not looking at good.
- 18:58Speaker 7: And I just hit the saying we'll look sort of
- 19:00Speaker 7: a scrotum's rock out a lot, and I said it
- 19:03Speaker 7: could be just then inflamatory from what's going on, and
- 19:07Speaker 7: he sort of agreed with me. But the next morning
- 19:11Speaker 7: she wasn't that good at all.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Right, And so we're talking about your sort of scrotum
- 19:16Speaker 3: area and the perineum and sort of around there.
- 19:19Speaker 2: So obviously it was a massive infection.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It turns out that it was actually a flesh eating
- 19:25Speaker 3: in fiction.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 19:27Speaker 7: Yeah? Yeah. So so on the Sunday morning they decided
- 19:33Speaker 7: to see me to the Q Hospital and in Icago,
- 19:36Speaker 7: which is our forty minute drive from Gore. So they
- 19:40Speaker 7: being in ebolence and sent me away down the Q
- 19:43Speaker 7: Hospital and I was only a year about half an
- 19:45Speaker 7: ear and nixonation that would put you on the operating
- 19:48Speaker 7: table like you've got a fish eating disorder. Oh god,
- 19:50Speaker 7: to me, I was yeah, to me, I was like, well,
- 19:52Speaker 7: hold on, well heading then grown here, you know what
- 19:55Speaker 7: the hell was going on? Twenty one days later I
- 19:59Speaker 7: was doing ICU and it had nine operations in nineteen days.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Was missing my scrotum was missing for the muscle in
- 20:10Speaker 7: between the legs.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Or they took it off.
- 20:15Speaker 7: Well, they had actually taken it off, like yeah, it
- 20:17Speaker 7: was just like it started off the first the first day,
- 20:23Speaker 7: they opened me up from pretty much my backside right
- 20:26Speaker 7: through my growing up to the top of the jopline.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Yeah, and left it open like they picked it full
- 20:33Speaker 7: of doors, left it open, and they'd taken they'd taken
- 20:37Speaker 7: away chunk off the side of my scrotum about the
- 20:39Speaker 7: size of a fifty cent coin. Yeah, And they didn't
- 20:44Speaker 7: really understand it at the first couple of days exactly
- 20:48Speaker 7: what it was like. They were still trying to work
- 20:50Speaker 7: out obviously what it was. And ever the House and
- 20:54Speaker 7: Seeking operation, they took another chunk of me scrotum and
- 20:57Speaker 7: they were still cleaning out all these.
- 21:00Speaker 4: So just just sort of chipping away at the bastard
- 21:03Speaker 4: with it.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Yeah about I think I've been in there about seven days.
- 21:11Speaker 7: By then, they are pretty much headed under control. But
- 21:16Speaker 7: I was still going into the operating theater every day,
- 21:19Speaker 7: if not every second day, to have the wounds cleaned
- 21:23Speaker 7: and redreased. And and then I had a bit of difficulty.
- 21:27Speaker 7: I actually stopped breathing when I come up to recovery.
- 21:31Speaker 4: And we'll just stop you. We'll just stop you there. Man,
- 21:35Speaker 4: We're gonna We're going to go to a song. I
- 21:37Speaker 4: want to come back and hear more about this, but
- 21:38Speaker 4: all this chat does make me bloody hungry.
- 21:40Speaker 7: I'll go.
- 21:40Speaker 4: I can grab a pie if you can stick around
- 21:43Speaker 4: there for a couple of minutes. Man, we'll come back
- 21:45Speaker 4: and get the rest of the yard.
- 21:47Speaker 7: Yep.
- 21:47Speaker 1: It is the Hiarchy Big Show, weekdays from four on
- 21:52Speaker 1: Radio Hdarchy.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Now previous to that, we've been speaking to Brendan Murray
- 21:56Speaker 3: who's had a bit of a horror show. Got an
- 21:58Speaker 3: infection around us grow them in sort of perennium area,
- 22:03Speaker 3: and thought it was an in growing here. It got
- 22:05Speaker 3: worse over the days. He ended up going to A
- 22:07Speaker 3: and E and the guy at A and e basically said,
- 22:09Speaker 3: geez mate, Brendan mate, not happy about that to send
- 22:12Speaker 3: you to the hospital. And then I believe Brendan, you
- 22:15Speaker 3: are thirteen days in the ICU seven operations. They cut
- 22:19Speaker 3: you from sort of naval to but they were packing
- 22:23Speaker 3: your full of gouze.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It had just scrowed them hacked away at there. So
- 22:28Speaker 2: what happened then?
- 22:30Speaker 7: Oh yeah, well so it was just after all the
- 22:33Speaker 7: operations and killing, he really transferred through to meating for
- 22:36Speaker 7: a skin graft, which I love, hate to do to
- 22:40Speaker 7: help with my healing and now on home recovering. But
- 22:45Speaker 7: they've just informed me today after I've just been seeing
- 22:48Speaker 7: the doctor again, then it'll be months of recovery.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:53Speaker 7: Yeah, my healing has gone really well and the wound
- 22:56Speaker 7: is looking really good. But yeah, they didn't tell me
- 23:00Speaker 7: today that it will be months. They can't put a
- 23:04Speaker 7: they can't put a time frame on it, which is
- 23:05Speaker 7: really good. But I'm doing as I'm told, which is
- 23:08Speaker 7: a first.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I beat you, man, And the thing about it is
- 23:12Speaker 4: you can sort of recover from this. Jason jac who
- 23:16Speaker 4: hosts the radio show with me, he he's suffered from
- 23:19Speaker 4: a botched circumcision when he was a young feller. It's
- 23:22Speaker 4: an absolute debarkle down there. And uh, you know he's
- 23:25Speaker 4: managed to lead a fairly normal life. Man.
- 23:29Speaker 7: Yep, yep, So I'll lead a perfectly normal life from
- 23:34Speaker 7: now on in too, Like I've still got I've still
- 23:37Speaker 7: got the testicles.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Now.
- 23:40Speaker 4: That was my next question, mate, So you've still got
- 23:42Speaker 4: the bulls. The bullers are still there. They just sort
- 23:45Speaker 4: of tucked away for a rainy day, Is that about it?
- 23:48Speaker 7: Yeah? Yep, so that just you know, like when you're
- 23:51Speaker 7: a teenage boy, they always give you a bit of
- 23:53Speaker 7: grief about here your balls are drop? Well, I want
- 23:55Speaker 7: to just gone back here?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:57Speaker 4: Okay. Can they sort of design you a brand new
- 24:03Speaker 4: bull bag there, sort of made out of some skin
- 24:06Speaker 4: that you might gather from other areas, like if you
- 24:08Speaker 4: got any sort of spear of skin around. Certainly I
- 24:11Speaker 4: think the ideal would be if you could get sort
- 24:13Speaker 4: of a maybe you can get a donus scrolled from
- 24:16Speaker 4: somebody who's recently passed away. Is there any options like
- 24:19Speaker 4: that on the table.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Well, I don't know about it, but I've hit a
- 24:23Speaker 7: couple of mates offer like wit one the other day
- 24:26Speaker 7: he's seen his dogs and a beat to get fixed
- 24:28Speaker 7: and offer to give me the dog stroke. I'm going
- 24:35Speaker 7: to be copping it for probably the reason of my life,
- 24:37Speaker 7: really and lucky enough, I've got a good seats humor
- 24:40Speaker 7: and I'm prepared to take it. I've got six skin. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 7: I was having thick skin. This is why I am
- 24:49Speaker 7: a gave kit in the eye. Like if you if
- 24:51Speaker 7: you've got something wrong.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Gone get your totally.
- 24:54Speaker 7: Man.
- 24:55Speaker 4: It sounds like it sounds like you dealt with it
- 24:57Speaker 4: relatively quickly, man, but probably the bigger listen, and I
- 24:59Speaker 4: think a lot of dudes are like this is if
- 25:01Speaker 4: you find yourself a little passy bastard somewhere, don't get
- 25:04Speaker 4: your filthy, bloody fingernails all over it.
- 25:06Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that's the thing, you know, Like
- 25:11Speaker 7: we are our own worst, do you know me. We
- 25:13Speaker 7: always say, oh we'll tap of it will be right,
- 25:15Speaker 7: you know, but if something's not right, and and you
- 25:18Speaker 7: do know when something's not right, you know, like I knew,
- 25:21Speaker 7: I knew all along that I wasn't doing that well.
- 25:24Speaker 7: But you know, I don't want to. I don't want
- 25:27Speaker 7: my kids to see that there was a whim for us.
- 25:29Speaker 7: So well, yeah.
- 25:31Speaker 4: You sort of hope you can sleep it off, man,
- 25:33Speaker 4: and and and you know, simple factors. Sometimes you can't
- 25:37Speaker 4: sleep it off, and they gotta they've gotta lop your
- 25:38Speaker 4: scrot them off.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know. I mean at the end
- 25:43Speaker 7: of the day, I'm lucky that that that's the only
- 25:45Speaker 7: thing that I am missing.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:48Speaker 7: Yeah, to be honest, I'm lucky to be bloody alive
- 25:51Speaker 7: like it. It could have killed me a couple of times.
- 25:54Speaker 7: And and I fought, and I decided that I'd beat
- 25:57Speaker 7: the bugger, and I heave so far and touch wood,
- 26:01Speaker 7: I'm going to fully beat it and be fully healed.
- 26:03Speaker 7: But yeah, as I say, anyone, just man up, going
- 26:08Speaker 7: go and get a cheap day. That's what these house
- 26:10Speaker 7: professionals do for a job. That's what they trained for.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I bet they didn't train for that.
- 26:17Speaker 5: Well, hey, Brendan, I think I've.
- 26:21Speaker 7: Become a case study for a few people.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I can imagine, mate, what were you going to
- 26:25Speaker 2: say post.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Oh no, I just I was going to ask Brendan.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Obviously, you know you've done the backbone thing here and
- 26:29Speaker 6: gone and got yourself checked and sorted out. I imagine
- 26:32Speaker 6: it's already pretty confronting going in there with everything they
- 26:34Speaker 6: were doing to you. But particularly as a bloke going
- 26:37Speaker 6: into the hospital and then get letting getting told that
- 26:40Speaker 6: they're going to get in amongst your intimate parts. There
- 26:43Speaker 6: was that was there one moment that was pretty confronting
- 26:45Speaker 6: about it or quite scary.
- 26:47Speaker 7: Well, like at the end of the day, I knew
- 26:50Speaker 7: it wasn't right down there and Alm a volunteer form
- 26:54Speaker 7: and like I the local forward chief and at the
- 26:57Speaker 7: end of the day, when you're sick, you don't really
- 26:59Speaker 7: hear him. And I live for dignity at the door
- 27:01Speaker 7: of the hospital, like I did joke the other day,
- 27:05Speaker 7: like I've had that many females between my leagues and
- 27:09Speaker 7: looking at my growing in the last forty five days,
- 27:11Speaker 7: it's unreal. But they're not. They're not there looking at
- 27:15Speaker 7: what I would normally let them. Sure sure, like my
- 27:20Speaker 7: wife even see the other day, ship's siven and there
- 27:23Speaker 7: at one time what most males have be gone.
- 27:25Speaker 8: Yeah you beauty, lucky bard you Yeah, well, I tell
- 27:29Speaker 8: you what, Brendan, Good on your mate, and best of
- 27:32Speaker 8: luck for your recovery and you enjoy that that nice
- 27:35Speaker 8: cold beer when you can finally have one mate, I
- 27:38Speaker 8: will be I will be.
- 27:39Speaker 7: Well and truly say now and just yeah, just make
- 27:42Speaker 7: sure that message its out the like you're not right,
- 27:45Speaker 7: go and get yourself chick out blood.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Good on you, Brandon. Thanks for your time, mate, Big
- 27:51Speaker 2: Show Podcast.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Now, as I look outside and see the glorious sunshine,
- 27:55Speaker 3: I think to myself, you know, we're getting into the
- 27:58Speaker 3: season of golf movie.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And as you as you.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Know, I've just started playing in I played two games,
- 28:04Speaker 3: and I'm to be honest with you, I'm itching at
- 28:06Speaker 3: the bit to get back into it. Yeah, well I've
- 28:10Speaker 3: got to wait for Keasy to get back by yourself.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Well it just feels a bit weird playing by myself.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Have you got no other mates that play golf?
- 28:17Speaker 2: I do, but I yeah, I don't know.
- 28:21Speaker 3: But you're riching, But I'm itching, I mentioning to get
- 28:24Speaker 3: into I might just go down to a field and
- 28:26Speaker 3: wax and balls.
- 28:26Speaker 2: But now listen with that in mind.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Actually, the Big Show has created a new club called
- 28:30Speaker 3: the Swingers Club.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And our dream is to travel all around.
- 28:35Speaker 3: This great country of ours, playing all the great golf courses.
- 28:38Speaker 3: And we want you, good bastards our better join us.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And when I say us.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I mean me Keesy Mogi and Pugson and come and
- 28:45Speaker 3: have a round of golf with us. Now we've got
- 28:48Speaker 3: our first one sorted up New do I golf course,
- 28:52Speaker 3: which is going to be great. We provide carts if
- 28:55Speaker 3: you don't have clubs and stuff we can get all
- 28:56Speaker 3: that sorted. Also beverages, also food. We're going to do
- 29:00Speaker 3: our show at the end of the game there, so
- 29:04Speaker 3: if you want to be a part of that, pugs
- 29:07Speaker 3: and what do they do.
- 29:08Speaker 6: And get amongst it as well, because if this one
- 29:09Speaker 6: goes really well, the more we can do around the country.
- 29:12Speaker 6: People just need to go to Hierarchy dot co dot
- 29:14Speaker 6: NZD and after that as well, we'll be doing a
- 29:16Speaker 6: live show from just wherever we end the nineteenth yeah, yeah,
- 29:21Speaker 6: and the water there so it's going to be great.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:24Speaker 3: And also just on that by the way, if you've
- 29:26Speaker 3: got any suggestions, you've got a golf course that you
- 29:28Speaker 3: think we'd love to play, get in touch with us
- 29:31Speaker 3: about that and we can see if we can organize
- 29:32Speaker 3: a bit of a group wherever it is in the country.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Three four eight three for that Beautiful.
- 29:39Speaker 1: The Hurdiche Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy. Tune
- 29:42Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodachy.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Hey, we had some people over on the weekend, as
- 29:48Speaker 4: I've already mentioned. Didn't of course, when you have people over,
- 29:50Speaker 4: you've got to sort of, you know, fix up your house. Sure,
- 29:54Speaker 4: clean it to the point where it looks like a museum.
- 29:57Speaker 4: And this time around I also did the exterior because
- 29:59Speaker 4: we have quite a lot of quite a lot of
- 30:02Speaker 4: stuff around the house that he's doing even though I rent.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So I got out there and I did some pretty
- 30:07Speaker 4: heavy judy landscaping. Oh yeah, we had like there's lots
- 30:11Speaker 4: of leaves all over the driveway there. So we've got
- 30:14Speaker 4: a leaf blower. So I got out there with that
- 30:17Speaker 4: and just blew all the leaves into a pile and
- 30:20Speaker 4: then sucked them all up. And on the leaf blower,
- 30:24Speaker 4: it's got a little bag. Huh, it's got a little
- 30:28Speaker 4: bag on it. Yeah, I was just thinking about what
- 30:30Speaker 4: it looks like.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:33Speaker 4: It hadn't occurred to me anyway. It sucks it into
- 30:36Speaker 4: there a multus as it goes through.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Wow.
- 30:38Speaker 4: And you go there and then your unzit your unzip
- 30:41Speaker 4: across the bottom of the bag there and you empty
- 30:44Speaker 4: it out into the rubbish. And there's a lot of leaves.
- 30:46Speaker 4: It was a huge bit of landscaping anyway. So I
- 30:49Speaker 4: do the first but fill this bastard up, emptied it
- 30:51Speaker 4: out into the bin, and then I'm back down there again.
- 30:53Speaker 4: I got my headphones on and listening to some tunes. Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 4: blasting those bastards out there. And then I'm sucking up again.
- 30:59Speaker 4: And this time around, though, it was a lot dustier.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I was down in the garage a little bit more
- 31:03Speaker 4: the car port and this huge pilot was but it
- 31:06Speaker 4: was very dusty all of a sudden. Sure, So I'm
- 31:09Speaker 4: going away there for about five or ten minutes. And
- 31:11Speaker 4: then I think to myself, Jesus time, it's taken a
- 31:13Speaker 4: while to fill up this bag. And I look around.
- 31:15Speaker 4: I haven't zipped the bag bag out all right. Yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 4: it's sucking it all in, it's mulching it and just
- 31:21Speaker 4: spraying it all up the other end of the driveway.
- 31:24Speaker 2: So I had to start again.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Leaf dustywhere leaf dust absolutely everywhere. And the other thing
- 31:30Speaker 4: I had to do was as part of the landscaping,
- 31:33Speaker 4: was pick up my dog shiser. Yes, and I've actually
- 31:37Speaker 4: trained my daughter up now to get her to do it.
- 31:40Speaker 4: She is actually I say, today's day you get to
- 31:43Speaker 4: go and pick up the poos and she's like, yes, yes,
- 31:48Speaker 4: But the problem is she uses one bag for every
- 31:51Speaker 4: half a pooh. Yeah, because she grabs it through the bag,
- 31:54Speaker 4: but she just sort of clenches it and squeezes it.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it squirt.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I've been able to get half a dozen poos to
- 32:02Speaker 4: the one bag. I'm sort of having to do two
- 32:06Speaker 4: to the one pooh. But yeah, it's a big job,
- 32:08Speaker 4: doesn't it. You have people over and are you creating
- 32:13Speaker 4: a lot of work for yourself?
- 32:14Speaker 2: Jason, Yeah, I know.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Look funnily enough, I did a bit of landscaping too
- 32:18Speaker 3: over the weekend.
- 32:19Speaker 2: In my lounge.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Got a few pot plants, you know how. I've got
- 32:22Speaker 3: that heat heat pump I do, and I think it's
- 32:26Speaker 3: just drying out the pop plants. Yes, so there was
- 32:28Speaker 3: about three or four of the bastards in the lounge.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I moved them into the other lounge, yes, which is sunny,
- 32:34Speaker 3: but it doesn't get affected by the heat pump as much.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you what they're thriving now, Magie.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Well, that that's real bag like sort of knee you know.
- 32:44Speaker 3: You can put your first around them. They just little pottles. Yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 3: but Jesus I was rooted afterwards.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:49Speaker 4: So there is the thing about landscaping and you won't
- 32:52Speaker 4: know those pugs as it does. It bugs yours backbreaking work.
- 32:56Speaker 4: It is so you don't just have to have the
- 32:57Speaker 4: vision for what the plan is with the landscape, and
- 33:01Speaker 4: you've also got to be able to you know, have
- 33:03Speaker 4: the backbone, have the strength to be able to put
- 33:06Speaker 4: those plans into action, and not everybody can do it.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah, slept like a baby that night.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I can tell you the Hiarchy Big Show with Jason,
- 33:16Speaker 1: Mike and Kyzy.
- 33:17Speaker 4: Tune in four on Radio Lucky.
- 33:20Speaker 2: You're welcome back your massive bagbones.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Wednesday's treating you well on this gorgeous Wednesday afternoon. You're
- 33:25Speaker 3: listening to the big Show brought to you by two Get.
- 33:29Speaker 6: It and keep an eye for the return, and keep
- 33:33Speaker 6: an eye for keep it eye for the return of
- 33:35Speaker 6: the two a year right billboards, because we can all
- 33:37Speaker 6: do with a laugh, you know what I'm saying, fels.
- 33:42Speaker 3: He Well, Hey, now listen. The podcast outro is basically
- 33:47Speaker 3: the warm up to the radio show. But the good
- 33:51Speaker 3: thing about the podcast outtro is we've got no restrictions
- 33:53Speaker 3: on us, so we can go about loose. Sometimes it
- 33:55Speaker 3: gets a bit of ra teen sometimes Park springs in
- 33:57Speaker 3: a bit of film, so it's something a little bit
- 34:01Speaker 3: different from the actual radio show. So make sure you
- 34:04Speaker 3: go and check it out. What's the clip today?
- 34:06Speaker 2: There packs up.
- 34:07Speaker 6: This is a Delly special obviously, and it's titled It's
- 34:10Speaker 6: a Dilemma.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Would you like to listen?
- 34:13Speaker 2: Sure?
- 34:15Speaker 3: I was relating to what you were saying, which was
- 34:18Speaker 3: you're kind of clenching both ends where you're rich and
- 34:21Speaker 3: clenching which which boat.
- 34:23Speaker 2: It's a dual activation, you know what I mean?
- 34:26Speaker 5: This almost opens the other up and is.
- 34:29Speaker 2: That Yeah, you know what I mean. It's not good.
- 34:32Speaker 2: It's a dilemma.
- 34:33Speaker 3: We were talking about Mogi getting salmonella, yes, from eating
- 34:38Speaker 3: raw chickens. He was firing at both ends and you
- 34:43Speaker 3: had a bit of a situation with that as well,
- 34:45Speaker 3: didn't you.
- 34:45Speaker 5: What put me off ham for about two years?
- 34:47Speaker 2: You had to put a beach towel between your legs.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Or in loss section and bed there.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, yeah, covering up the old Perenium.
- 34:55Speaker 4: It was on Monday, wasn't the Perenium?
- 34:56Speaker 5: I was covering Yeah, podcast.
- 35:00Speaker 3: The Big Show, Big Poll today was a trick or
- 35:03Speaker 3: treating years or no. So let's get to it, shall we?
- 35:07Speaker 2: Big poleh how do we go? Pagsan man?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Did you guys have any last minute predictions you wanted
- 35:21Speaker 5: to throw out?
- 35:26Speaker 2: Eight? No, I'll go sixty percent?
- 35:32Speaker 4: No, oh yes, trick or treating years or no?
- 35:35Speaker 2: Yes?
- 35:35Speaker 5: Nineteen percent?
- 35:36Speaker 4: Oh you.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Bang on?
- 35:40Speaker 4: Pretty good, pretty good?
- 35:41Speaker 2: Bang on the Yeah, we're not bang on.
- 35:46Speaker 4: It was one percent, but yes, it's it's just not
- 35:52Speaker 4: our holiday, is it.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it?
- 35:54Speaker 3: Because I actually genuinely would have thought it was a
- 35:56Speaker 3: bit higher than that. But obviously for our sort of
- 36:00Speaker 3: narration and for you know, your twenties and thirties, it's
- 36:04Speaker 3: not a big deal. I know my daughter is going
- 36:05Speaker 3: to a Halloween party in the weekend.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Yes, you know what I mean.
- 36:08Speaker 3: But I think you're right mage. I think it's for
- 36:12Speaker 3: the kiddies, isn't it.
- 36:13Speaker 4: It is for the kiddies. But we had a text
- 36:16Speaker 4: come through on three for eight three and said, you know,
- 36:18Speaker 4: it is an interesting one because you tell kids not
- 36:22Speaker 4: to take lollies from strangers, and then you see your
- 36:24Speaker 4: kids free to go around the people to strangers' houses
- 36:26Speaker 4: and bang on doors. Exactly though, says it's changed. Obviously
- 36:29Speaker 4: you generally got a parent or an oldest sibling hang
- 36:31Speaker 4: around with him as well.
- 36:34Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
- 36:36Speaker 3: As I say, I'm not a fan of it, and
- 36:40Speaker 3: fortunately for me, it's very hard to find how to
- 36:42Speaker 3: get down to my house, so people get lost anyway. Also,
- 36:45Speaker 3: I leave my dog outside and she barks her ass
- 36:48Speaker 3: off and scares the crab out of it, so we
- 36:50Speaker 3: don't tend to get sort of disturbed. I imagine as a
- 36:53Speaker 3: young Nipper pug son, you would have been keen on
- 36:56Speaker 3: the old Halloween, were you and your little outfit there?
- 37:00Speaker 6: See, I think trickle tradings are yes, if you're doing
- 37:02Speaker 6: it responsibly, like the way you're doing it. I really
- 37:04Speaker 6: like that example of checking in with the neighbors. You're
- 37:07Speaker 6: even providing the stuff for them to give to your
- 37:09Speaker 6: daughter there. Otherwise it's probably a no. But I love
- 37:13Speaker 6: Halloween as a holiday, like I'm in the I like
- 37:15Speaker 6: a little.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Costume action, right do.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I've held.
- 37:19Speaker 5: Some asolute represented a.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Little bit of tape big Sea on your cheest see
- 37:23Speaker 4: for what's Connie Boy?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, is that one of your characters?
- 37:27Speaker 4: What Conny Boy?
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 2: And do you have like a big Connie on your head?
- 37:33Speaker 4: It's your mask and man, yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 5: And I've just done it every.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Ye your super power as you blow it up with
- 37:40Speaker 4: your nose. Yeah yeah yeah, it just bests.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Yeah, good stuff.
- 37:45Speaker 5: I've done that every year.
- 37:46Speaker 4: It's conny boy.
- 37:47Speaker 5: It's getting a little small for me now, to be honest.
- 37:49Speaker 2: There you go.
- 37:51Speaker 3: The people have spoken fellows and it's absolutely definitive. Eighty
- 37:56Speaker 3: to twenty Knave Yeah, Trick or Treating, Yes, Oh.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Rocky Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.
- 38:06Speaker 3: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue?
- 38:13Speaker 9: Yeah, get Fields.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I watched a movie last night, fall Guy, Full Guy.
- 38:37Speaker 4: It's got Ryan Goslin in it, it's got Emily Blunt
- 38:42Speaker 4: in it, and it's a he's a stunt stunt yes, yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 4: yeah yeah, And she's like a camera assistant who becomes
- 38:49Speaker 4: a director and he sort of gets injured and then,
- 38:52Speaker 4: for some reason that's not really clear and doesn't make
- 38:55Speaker 4: any sense at all, he stops answering her phone calls
- 38:58Speaker 4: while she's trying to help him out to get better
- 39:00Speaker 4: because they've seen each other so and then they don't
- 39:02Speaker 4: see each other for a year, and then they're reunited
- 39:04Speaker 4: on the seat of where she's the director and and
- 39:09Speaker 4: also at the same time, the star of the film
- 39:12Speaker 4: has completely disappeared and the producer of the film for
- 39:15Speaker 4: some reason, charges the stunt guy, right, Goswily, we're finding him.
- 39:21Speaker 2: It's not very good.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Two very hotly in character, great chemistry, great chemistry, and
- 39:27Speaker 4: good action and good ideas for comedy and all that
- 39:29Speaker 4: sort of thing. It's just it feels like it was
- 39:31Speaker 4: trying to do a hell of a lot, sure, and
- 39:34Speaker 4: could have been doing a lot less and been more enjoyable.
- 39:39Speaker 4: But you're just sort of sitting there again. Yeah, I
- 39:41Speaker 4: mean there will be.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 39:43Speaker 4: It's certainly doing a lot of that's very busy.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Very busy. What was that on Magi? I think it
- 39:47Speaker 2: was on Apple on Apple?
- 39:51Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Now I meant to tell you. I watched
- 39:54Speaker 3: Brothers the other night, the one with Josh Brolin.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And the orangutans.
- 40:03Speaker 4: To be clear, it's a significantly bigger monkey than an orangete. Yeah.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell it was.
- 40:10Speaker 3: It was so very funny, and his reaction to it
- 40:16Speaker 3: was so good. I was passing myself laughing. I actually
- 40:20Speaker 3: I quite enjoyed that film overall. I mean that scene,
- 40:23Speaker 3: of course, as you mentioned, is very very funny. But
- 40:28Speaker 3: the whole thing, yeah, you know, an easy watch.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't.
- 40:31Speaker 4: I haven't finished it. I should go back to it.
- 40:33Speaker 4: But it was very much considering the cast, Yes, should
- 40:37Speaker 4: have been a lot funnier. A real shame, I thought,
- 40:40Speaker 4: But say check it.
- 40:42Speaker 5: On worth watching.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean Dinklage, you know, he's you know, there's
- 40:48Speaker 3: some funny stuff in there, for sure. I watched a
- 40:52Speaker 3: movie which I watched not long ago.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Called Crazy Heart. Jeff Bridges. He won the Wood for that.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Yeah, well he's I mean, I'm a massive fan of
- 41:03Speaker 3: him as an actor anyway, but he plays the degenerate
- 41:08Speaker 3: down and out dudes so very well. And it's basically
- 41:12Speaker 3: the story of a country and Western singer who used
- 41:16Speaker 3: to be called bad Blake, who used to be really
- 41:19Speaker 3: massive and now has just gone right downhill and he's
- 41:24Speaker 3: just playing dive bars all over the place. He's a
- 41:27Speaker 3: massive alcoholic. There's a lot, you know, and he can
- 41:31Speaker 3: barely get through a gig. He's depressed about his career.
- 41:34Speaker 3: There's a young buck who used to work with him,
- 41:37Speaker 3: who's now a sensational superstar, and he's just this sort
- 41:41Speaker 3: of degenerate, sort of losing the plot kind of thing.
- 41:45Speaker 3: He falls in love. It's actually a very sweet story
- 41:50Speaker 3: and the ending is not what you expect it to be.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Can I put it this way? He doesn't get what
- 41:56Speaker 3: he wants, he gets what he needs.
- 41:59Speaker 5: Sure, it's okay.
- 42:02Speaker 2: So it's it's an enjoyable watch. And I knew. I
- 42:05Speaker 2: remember watching quite a while.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Back and thinking I'm just going to watch it again
- 42:08Speaker 3: because it's a bloody great performance.
- 42:10Speaker 4: What did you watch that on Prime? I think Prime Video.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Meggie gillan Hall is also on the Yes. She was
- 42:16Speaker 4: nominated for Best Supporting Actress and lost. How do you
- 42:20Speaker 4: feel about her? She's fantastic.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Ye, she's very good, very good. And Bridge is.
- 42:25Speaker 4: One Best Actor and also won Best Original Song and
- 42:28Speaker 4: Best Achievement of Music. T Bone Burnette the famous country
- 42:33Speaker 4: and Western singer. He wrote all the music for it.
- 42:35Speaker 3: And Jeff Bridges actually does do the singing and he's
- 42:39Speaker 3: very very good.
- 42:40Speaker 2: He's genuinely good. Great stuff.
- 42:43Speaker 1: The Hururarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdarchy.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Now you and I Margie. Well love our hunting and
- 42:49Speaker 2: fish and.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Day mate and well one of the things I love
- 42:53Speaker 3: about it the most is getting wild game and food on.
- 42:56Speaker 2: The dinner table. Yeah.
- 42:57Speaker 3: You know, I'm not the sort of guy that likes
- 42:59Speaker 3: to go to this supermarket and buy beef and chicken
- 43:02Speaker 3: and stuff like that. I prefer to catch it myself.
- 43:05Speaker 2: The stuper market. The stuper market.
- 43:07Speaker 3: I prefer to catch it myself rather than have your
- 43:10Speaker 3: sort of pre package sticky pot and all that sort of.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Stuff chicken nuggets and stuff like that.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I don't go there.
- 43:17Speaker 3: I like wild food and if you're into that as well,
- 43:20Speaker 3: then you're going to absolutely love the wild Food Fest
- 43:23Speaker 3: of the Apugs.
- 43:24Speaker 5: Oh absolutely.
- 43:25Speaker 6: That's happening in hook A Ticker on the eighth of March,
- 43:28Speaker 6: which is not a significant date.
- 43:30Speaker 5: It's going to be a massive weekend and.
- 43:32Speaker 6: We've got the chance to have a couple of people
- 43:33Speaker 6: join us as we go along there and they can
- 43:36Speaker 6: win flights, accommodation tickets for them and a mate in
- 43:39Speaker 6: the big Shelby.
- 43:40Speaker 5: It's been on the weekend there.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah, great stuff.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Quite genuinely, actually, I've always been interested in that, so
- 43:44Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to doing.
- 43:45Speaker 2: It'll be great.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Here's am I, here's am I. It's a little bit
- 43:48Speaker 4: out of the way, but worth the journey. From all accounts,
- 43:50Speaker 4: been running for a bloody long time, it has. But yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 4: I love going down there and life. You get out
- 43:55Speaker 4: with your shoddy yes and take out a few oysters,
- 43:58Speaker 4: a couple of muscles and that sort of thing.
- 44:02Speaker 5: Du those bass down there at the Wild Foods Festival.
- 44:07Speaker 4: But when I go out shooting, that's generally what I do.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Have you ever had who who grubs? I have had
- 44:13Speaker 2: a who who? Yeah, I've had quite a feeling my time.
- 44:15Speaker 2: It's a real burst of flavor. And yeah, peanut buttery
- 44:20Speaker 2: is how I discussed.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Just break open the lot. There a big who who
- 44:25Speaker 3: grabs shovel and the.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Gob spread one of those bastards on a piece of toast,
- 44:29Speaker 4: a little bit of butter, pugs.
- 44:31Speaker 2: A little bit of lemons.
- 44:31Speaker 4: It's a little bit of crack and then give it
- 44:34Speaker 4: to someone else because it's disgusting.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So what do people have to do again
- 44:39Speaker 3: to be involved in that pos.
- 44:40Speaker 6: So if people just want to go to the Foods Festival,
- 44:42Speaker 6: they can go to Wild Foods dot co dot inz
- 44:43Speaker 6: get some tickets to that or if you want to
- 44:45Speaker 6: enter our comp to come along and join the Big Show.
- 44:48Speaker 6: Hold Aki dot co dot m Z eyes to the front, Jason, come.
- 44:51Speaker 1: On man, the Hdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike
- 44:56Speaker 1: Minogue and Kissy.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Well there you got your mad daceards. That's your Wednesday
- 45:08Speaker 3: show done in Dusty. We've got over a hump day.
- 45:10Speaker 3: What are the plans tonight, Maggie.
- 45:11Speaker 4: I might go to the gym. I might go to
- 45:13Speaker 4: the gym. Now, a little bit of sore in direction,
- 45:15Speaker 4: a little bit of gym action. I am feeling a
- 45:17Speaker 4: little bit down on energy, but there's probably still a
- 45:20Speaker 4: result of the weekend. Sure, I would say, so. I'll
- 45:23Speaker 4: see how I'm feeling on Friday. It Jesus energy.
- 45:26Speaker 7: Yeah yeah.
- 45:27Speaker 3: I find first day after a big weekend not great.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Second day kind of tired. Third day grumpy. Oh yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 3: because all the all the stuff's leached out of your
- 45:40Speaker 3: system and it's craving some more.
- 45:42Speaker 5: Right, So you're going to be a little grumpy tomorrow.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Is that with you? No, I'm as good as gold.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I'm tikety boo.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Yes, sweet?
- 45:48Speaker 2: What are your plans tonight? Bit a sticky bee chicken chicken,
- 45:51Speaker 2: sticky chicken chicken.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:53Speaker 5: Man, I think I'm just gonna take it easy.
- 45:56Speaker 6: I forgot to defrost anything again tonight. It's real, But
- 46:00Speaker 6: I'll figure something out. Maybe some beef. I think I'm
- 46:02Speaker 6: feeling beef.
- 46:03Speaker 2: You got anyone coming over tonight?
- 46:04Speaker 4: But no, man, I'm just going to chill.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Maybe a few visitors.
- 46:07Speaker 4: I'm probably just going to.
- 46:08Speaker 5: Shell and maybe over the beer and play some PlayStation.
- 46:12Speaker 2: And break out the cones or anything like that.
- 46:16Speaker 5: You might break out the.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Connies all right.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Tonight, Just chilling.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Actually, just going to take it easy, try and find
- 46:24Speaker 3: a film, argue with my wife about watching.
- 46:26Speaker 2: What what to watch?
- 46:27Speaker 3: Yes, eat some food. I've already been to the gym,
- 46:32Speaker 3: so I don't need to do the gym second time,
- 46:35Speaker 3: I suppose.
- 46:38Speaker 2: But anyway, listen. Thanks for your company this afternoon.
- 46:42Speaker 3: To make sure you check out the podcast, also check
- 46:44Speaker 3: out our Instagram account.
