- 1:38Speaker 2: welcome in, brother. How you doing? I appreciate you adjusting
- 1:39Speaker 2: on the fly for Friday.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm doing well. You know me. I'll always adjust for you.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Unless we're talking high school football, then I'm not going
- 1:47Speaker 1: to adjust.
- 1:48Speaker 2: No, I try to keep the high school line. You know,
- 1:50Speaker 2: we may get in trouble with the school board if
- 1:52Speaker 2: we start throwing lines on high school football. I mean,
- 1:54Speaker 2: we could throw some theoretical lines, but we'll do that
- 1:56Speaker 2: for another day. All right, so college football tonight. Let's
- 2:01Speaker 2: go there first. Penn State at Northwestern. There's only three
- 2:06Speaker 2: games tonight. Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh. That may be the highlight
- 2:09Speaker 2: of the night. I think Penn State gets back on track.
- 2:11Speaker 2: You can tell me if you disagree. But Pittsburgh at
- 2:14Speaker 2: Virginia Tech. James Franklin trying to stay undefeated. Pittsburgh, a
- 2:17Speaker 2: nice football team. Pittsburgh getting two. The total is at 54-and-a-half.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Are we going to see any fireworks or weird upsets
- 2:24Speaker 2: on a Friday?
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think one, first of all, I like Virginia Tech
- 2:31Speaker 1: in this game, only laying us off two-and-a-half. I just
- 2:33Speaker 1: really like this team. I think they're buying in with
- 2:35Speaker 1: the new head coach, the new systems that they're running
- 2:37Speaker 1: both sides, defense and on offense. I'm just not sold
- 2:42Speaker 1: on Pittsburgh. I think by Tech and enter Sandman, Metallica
- 2:45Speaker 1: will be blaring. on this game. Give me Bob Tech.
- 2:48Speaker 1: If we do see an upset, I think it's the
- 2:50Speaker 1: Big Ten game. Northwestern, who's opening up their new football
- 2:54Speaker 1: stadium tonight. They welcome Penn State, who were covering up
- 2:57Speaker 1: a horrible showing last week. This Northwestern team, they gave
- 3:02Speaker 1: Indiana everything they got. They were double digits, 20-point underdogs,
- 3:07Speaker 1: and only lost by a single digit. I like Northwestern
- 3:10Speaker 1: to come on top. They're laying only plus two and
- 3:12Speaker 1: a half.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Rafael Esparza, make sure to get him at vsi.sports. And,
- 3:16Speaker 2: of course, find him on Instagram, TikTok. He's all over
- 3:18Speaker 2: the place. And, of course, we appreciate him being here.
- 3:20Speaker 2: All right, any chance North Carolina hangs around with Notre
- 3:23Speaker 2: Dame tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock? I know we'll get
- 3:25Speaker 2: to Mississippi State and Alabama momentarily. Same slot kickoff time
- 3:29Speaker 2: on NBC. Domer's giving up 21.5. That totals at 47.
- 3:34Speaker 2: And I did see something about a piece of all
- 3:37Speaker 2: the assistant coaches when they signed their contracts at North Carolina.
- 3:40Speaker 2: There was some sort of a buyout clause they didn't
- 3:41Speaker 2: realize was in there. Is Notre Dame going to absolutely
- 3:45Speaker 2: run them out of their own building tomorrow?
- 3:49Speaker 1: There's two blowouts that could be very ugly tomorrow. And
- 3:51Speaker 1: this one is one of them. I think Notre Dame
- 3:53Speaker 1: puts a butt whooping on UNC. And when Shockwave Devil
- 3:57Speaker 1: gets handed to them tomorrow, because who does Clemson have
- 4:00Speaker 1: to play tomorrow? They have to play Miami. But, yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I think Notre Dame puts a very, very lopsided number
- 4:05Speaker 1: up on North Carolina. All right.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Mississippi State, Alabama, 11 o'clock kick. Looks like the weather
- 4:11Speaker 2: has shifted for the good. You may get a little
- 4:13Speaker 2: bit of a dry track. There may be some rain
- 4:15Speaker 2: later in the ballgame. But Alabama, minus 5.5, that's kind
- 4:19Speaker 2: of where this line has settled out, 5.5 to 6.
- 4:22Speaker 2: The total is at 60.5. Two dynamic quarterbacks, all the
- 4:27Speaker 2: history in Tuscaloosa. Alabama chose to drive over tomorrow, which
- 4:32Speaker 2: means they're going to have to get an early, which
- 4:33Speaker 2: they'll have an early start regardless, but they'll have to
- 4:35Speaker 2: have a little earlier start to get up. stretch, eat,
- 4:38Speaker 2: then get on a bus, be there two hours early.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You're talking at 9 o'clock. We've seen that affect teams before.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Mississippi State, can they take it into the fourth quarter?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Can they win it outright?
- 4:48Speaker 1: I think they can. They just need to shut down
- 4:50Speaker 1: the running attack of Alabama. They can do that. And, yes,
- 4:54Speaker 1: I think the Cowbells can easily win this one. I
- 4:57Speaker 1: can't say Mississippi State's going to win this game because
- 5:00Speaker 1: then it would ruin my track record. That's why they
- 5:03Speaker 1: keep on winning games. So Alabama wins 59-0.
- 5:07Speaker 2: All right, looking at some others. All right, so Michigan
- 5:10Speaker 2: has looked very lethargic. You know, Bryce Underwood has not
- 5:14Speaker 2: looked great. They're going to Minnesota. P.J. Fleck, row the boat,
- 5:17Speaker 2: sweater vest, all the things. Shiny bald head on P.J.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Fleck with the sunglasses at 11 o'clock tomorrow. Michigan is
- 5:23Speaker 2: a six-and-a-half point favorite. That total is at 43-and-a-half. Feels
- 5:27Speaker 2: like Minnesota may have a shot to win this game
- 5:28Speaker 2: outright as well.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I think they do, and boy, if they do, the
- 5:33Speaker 1: head coach of Michigan probably wishes he stayed in Utah
- 5:37Speaker 1: or retired. I just think Underwood is a complete flop.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I don't like his play. How is his mental state
- 5:43Speaker 1: for this game? Even though Minnesota has struggled so far,
- 5:47Speaker 1: especially in the red zone, a roll of the ball
- 5:50Speaker 1: can keep this game interesting. I have Michigan winning, but
- 5:53Speaker 1: I don't have them covering.
- 5:55Speaker 2: West Virginia-Iowa State, a Big 12 matchup. Iowa State, the
- 5:58Speaker 2: home team, they're giving up three points. That total is
- 6:01Speaker 2: at 53.5. Rich Rodriguez trying to read this West Virginia 2.0
- 6:08Speaker 2: has gone okay for him. It's not where they want
- 6:10Speaker 2: it to be. Who do you like in this one?
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, they're coming off a bad showing back-to-back. I'd like
- 6:17Speaker 1: this game to go over. I think everyone thinks we're
- 6:19Speaker 1: going to see an under game, but I think we're
- 6:20Speaker 1: going to see a high-scoring game. I know everyone looks
- 6:23Speaker 1: at that Iowa State-Iowa game like, oh, they did that game.
- 6:26Speaker 1: But that game's always under on that one. I like
- 6:28Speaker 1: the way Iowa State can move the ball. I think
- 6:31Speaker 1: we see some points scored in this one.
- 6:34Speaker 2: College game day is going to Iowa for Iowa-Ohio State.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You and I spoke on this one the other night
- 6:39Speaker 2: on the patio. But just to kind of revisit it,
- 6:42Speaker 2: Ohio State minus 14.5, totals at 45.5. This has been
- 6:45Speaker 2: a one-sided affair between the Hawkeyes and the Buckeyes. Can
- 6:50Speaker 2: Iowa– they're going to play really good defense, but, man,
- 6:52Speaker 2: they've got some receivers that they're going to have to
- 6:54Speaker 2: chase all day. Better athletes on the Ohio State sideline.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Can Iowa bring them down into the mud and make
- 7:01Speaker 2: them play a four-quarter ball game with a chance to win?
- 7:04Speaker 1: That's the only way Iowa has a chance to win.
- 7:07Speaker 1: They need to muddy this game up. They need to
- 7:09Speaker 1: make it one-dimensional. Make Ohio State punt. Make Ohio State
- 7:13Speaker 1: offense watch the game. So that means you have to
- 7:15Speaker 1: establish the run early. Because if they don't, and the
- 7:18Speaker 1: best player in college football, right receiver, Ohio State, who
- 7:22Speaker 1: I think should be the number one pick in a draft,
- 7:25Speaker 1: if they can't stop him and they can't stop the
- 7:27Speaker 1: scoring Ohio State, there's no way Iowa's offense can go
- 7:30Speaker 1: toe-to-toe with Ohio State's offense. Iowa needs to muddy this up.
- 7:34Speaker 1: If you're going to bet Iowa, make sure you get 14.5
- 7:37Speaker 1: and not 14.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Florida with a big win over Ole Miss last week.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Ran them out of the swamp. Now they're on the
- 7:41Speaker 2: road at Missouri. Missouri took it on the chin to
- 7:43Speaker 2: Mississippi State. Tigers at Missouri back home, they are sitting
- 7:47Speaker 2: at getting 5.5. That total is at 57.5. Drinkwood's still,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I mean, he's done a good job, but he cannot
- 7:53Speaker 2: win a top 25 matchup, it seems. Can he do
- 7:55Speaker 2: it tomorrow?
- 7:58Speaker 1: I like the over on this game. Don't forget, Mississippi
- 8:01Speaker 1: State hung up a big number against Missouri. We saw
- 8:04Speaker 1: Florida hung up a big number against Ole Miss. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: think both teams hit the 30 mark. I like the
- 8:09Speaker 1: total just because I'll be rooting for Florida just because
- 8:13Speaker 1: my twin brother and all his family went to Mizzou,
- 8:16Speaker 1: so I always have to cheer against them. But I
- 8:18Speaker 1: like the over more than anything else because I think
- 8:21Speaker 1: we're going to see a lot of points scored.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Let's jump into some NFL real quick. Cowboys at Texans
- 8:25Speaker 2: battling the great state of Texas. Houston's the home team.
- 8:29Speaker 2: They're given three points, had totals at 48. Which Texas
- 8:33Speaker 2: team do you like?
- 8:34Speaker 1: I mean, I lean towards Dallas, but I'm going to
- 8:37Speaker 1: take the over on another one because Dallas is defensive. Ooh,
- 8:40Speaker 1: they got Porter, who has a bad back. They ain't
- 8:42Speaker 1: going to do anything. Their defense still has question marks.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Dallas does. I think C.J. Stroud could put some points
- 8:48Speaker 1: on the board, and we know Dallas could put some
- 8:50Speaker 1: points on the board.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Rams go across the country at Philly. They are the
- 8:53Speaker 2: favorite by 3.5 totals at 42.5. Two teams that will
- 8:57Speaker 2: have a say of some kind in this NFC race.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Which team gets the leg up?
- 9:01Speaker 1: I don't think Philly's going to have a say. They're
- 9:04Speaker 1: just coming off a bad loss to us. an almost
- 9:06Speaker 1: 40-year-old quarterback in Chicago, and now you have a short
- 9:09Speaker 1: week and you have to play the Rams in that defense,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and you're missing your right receiver one, the Eagles can't
- 9:15Speaker 1: even run the ball on Monday night. I like the
- 9:18Speaker 1: Rams on the road.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Patriots are almost a touchdown dog at Buffalo. This totals
- 9:23Speaker 2: at 50. There's reports Patriots may be without two players,
- 9:25Speaker 2: I believe a corner and a defensive tackle. I know
- 9:28Speaker 2: I'm right on one of those. I think it's the corner.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Can the Patriots hang around? Can they make it interesting
- 9:32Speaker 2: in the fourth quarter?
- 9:33Speaker 1: I think they can hang around. I got New England winning,
- 9:36Speaker 1: but it wouldn't shock me if they maybe lose by
- 9:38Speaker 1: four or five or six points. I'll take the plus
- 9:41Speaker 1: points on this one.
- 9:42Speaker 2: We've got, let's see, Broncos at 49ers. This will be
- 9:46Speaker 2: the 325 game in the afternoon. San Francisco giving up
- 9:49Speaker 2: two and a half. That total is at 47 and
- 9:50Speaker 2: a half. Good matchup here, AFC-NFC.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I actually like the Denver Broncos in this one. I
- 9:56Speaker 1: know San Francisco's undefeated, but I like the way Denver's
- 9:59Speaker 1: defense is getting back to Denver defense week after week.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'll take Denver in this one. Give me the road team.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Let's wrap it on Monday night. Falcons at Saints. The Dome,
- 10:09Speaker 2: always fun to be at, especially on a Monday night
- 10:11Speaker 2: football game. Saints minus 2.5. That totals at 47.5. A
- 10:15Speaker 2: divisional ballgame here between the Saints and Falcons.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I say grab a two-and-a-half win shot if we
- 10:21Speaker 1: see a three just because, A, it's on Monday night. B,
- 10:24Speaker 1: it's the anniversary a couple weeks ago of the Miracle game,
- 10:30Speaker 1: the first game after Katrina where the Saints won where
- 10:33Speaker 1: Gleason blocked a punt, ran it back for a touchdown.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And who did they play that game? They played the
- 10:37Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons in that game. So I like to say
- 10:40Speaker 1: it's a very soft number at two-and-a-half.
- 10:42Speaker 2: What else is going on this weekend?
- 10:45Speaker 1: We got football. We got UFC 332 in Salt Lake City.
- 10:49Speaker 1: We have baseball playoffs continue tomorrow, WNBA playoffs tonight, Game 3.
- 10:56Speaker 1: What else has been going on? NHL dropped a puck
- 10:59Speaker 1: this week, so it's always, always full schedule. Don't forget,
- 11:01Speaker 1: we have two weeks before the NBA hits off.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Hey, and you got 60 days of straight football from
- 11:07Speaker 2: now until whatever 60 days hits. Isn't that fun?
- 11:10Speaker 1: And we got 54 days until the primaries are done. Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I know you work hard on those political odds.
- 11:17Speaker 2: What did you tell me the other day? How much
- 11:18Speaker 2: money is anticipated coming in? This is wild.
- 11:20Speaker 1: About a billion dollars would be bet on the primaries.
- 11:24Speaker 2: A billion dollars bet on the primaries, which is crazy.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Either we've got a gambling problem going on in the country,
- 11:31Speaker 2: and that's debatable here or there, or I didn't realize
- 11:33Speaker 2: people enjoyed betting on politics so much.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You know, it amazes me how much foreign money comes
- 11:40Speaker 1: in on all types of politics, not just U.S. politics.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean, we have politics ads for Ireland and Mexico
- 11:47Speaker 1: and all that. But it's very popular. And I always
- 11:51Speaker 1: tell people, never believe polls, always believe ads, because we're
- 11:54Speaker 1: going to believe someone's words or someone's wallet.
- 11:57Speaker 2: There is no doubt. Make sure to get him on
- 11:59Speaker 2: all the channels. Use the promo code Patty or Jake
- 12:02Speaker 2: Wham on MyBookie. As far as I have a great weekend, brother,
