• Michelle Harris: Welcome back to Reality Hits Matt. I'm your host, Michelle. Mat: And I'm out. Michelle Harris: Here we are, season four, episode two of Secret Lives and Mormon Wives. Episode two. Episode two. That means you want me to do a recap of episode one real quick before we get started. A really quick one. Just I'll try to make it quick. Yeah, just because I'm gonna I think I'm gonna remember things as I talk about it. Yeah. Three or four like kind of main things that stuck out. Okay. the episode started Chase helping Taylor like pack up of her house. Mat: Episode two. That means you want me to do a recap of episode one real quick before we get started. I'll try to make it quick because I think I'm going to remember things as I talk about it because there's like three or four things I remember from last week. Like three or four like kind of main things that stuck out. The episode started with Chase helping Taylor like pack up. She's moving out of her house. She doesn't want to be there. lots of memories with Dakota there. Michelle Harris: be there. She's lots of memories with Dakota there. Right. and then this whole Chase Taylor thing kinda like evolves. Layla was saying it was a date. Miranda's kind of pissed off that Taylor didn't tell her Chase didn't tell her. Nobody told her. Later on in the episode, they talk about it. They're fine. Taylor and Miranda. Yeah. They're good. Chase ha I think has a crush on Taylor. It's not Yeah, like he would like date her but no. He's like, I think you know who I have a Mat: And then this whole chase Taylor thing kind of like evolves. Layla was saying it was a date Miranda's kind of pissed off that Taylor didn't tell her it was a date or chase didn't tell her nobody told her later on in the episode They talk about it. They're fine Taylor Miranda. They're good chase. I think has a crush on Taylor. It's not reciprocated back Yeah, he's like, I think you know who I have a crush on. Yeah, Taylor has a new crush Michelle Harris: Yeah. Yeah. Taylor has a new crotch. Mat: this guy that was singing in a tick tock live. So, I'll just say it now because I'll forget to mention it at the end of my recap. She's flying him out to meet her and that's how the episode ended. All right. What else do we have? We had a sip and see. So Jen Macy and Michaela are all having a little party to show off their newborn babies and it's a sip and see. Michelle Harris: guy that was singing in a TikTok. Yeah. We had a sipping C. A sippency. So Jen, Macy and Michaela are all having little party to show off their newborn babies. And it's a sippency. Correct. Mat: Whitney's invited. Jen and Whitney are on good terms. Now, Michaela and Whitney are on good terms. Everyone is pretty much on good terms with Whitney as well. Macy and Michaela invite Demi, and Jen is like, why the hell? Like, I don't want her there. So yeah, there's that. So Demi does show up. Michelle Harris: Whitney's invited. Yes. Jen and Whitney are on good terms. Mm-hmm. Now Michaela and Whitney are on good terms. Everyone is pretty much on good terms with Whitney at this point. Okay. Yeah. Macy and Michaela invite Demi. And Jordan's like, hey, I want to go first. And it's like, go, go first with what? So then he announces that all the guys were invited, all the dad talk guys were invited to the villa, which this ties into where we did the dad tacos to the villa. So this is like building up to that. And the girls are like, what the Michelle Harris: hell like where like the fashion like you know we gotta Mat: hell? Like they're like, the guys are like, you know, we got to Michelle Harris: you know. Mat: You know standard it's a good opportunity and they're like, what's the opportunity and they like don't have an answer Because the girls were like we're gonna get a free vacation Michelle Harris: a good opportunity and they're like, What's the opportunity? And they like don't have an answer. Yeah, it's it was like we're gonna get a free vacation. Like Mat: like Michelle Harris: It was like we wanna separate ourselves and stand on our own and not be in like the shadows and mom talk. And Jesse's like, But you're you're literally doing what we did. So have a monopoly on social media. Yeah. And Mat: Yeah, and MomTalk doesn't have... MomTalk doesn't have a monopoly on social media. Michelle Harris: like also th do something different then. Yeah. Sorry. I'm gonna go down that rabbit hole again 'cause it pisses me off. I'm sure. Mat: Yeah, yeah, all right. Anyway, yeah. I'm sure it'll come up this episode. So there's that. Then they throw a going away party and the Dad Talk guys are going Michelle Harris: Yeah. Mat: for like three days to Europe. Michelle Harris: One voyage party for a three day trip to London. Mat: And there's like a lot of drama there, I guess. It seems, I don't know, it just seems stupid. And then the only other thing in the episode is Jen and Whitney go off to LA for Dancing with the Stars. Whitney and Connor rent like a nice Airbnb. And I guess Jen and Zach, like, and their assistant or whatever, like. Michelle Harris: seems I don't know, it just seems stupid. So like you mentioned, it starts with Taylor picking up Ben, the TikTok guy from the airport. Ben, okay. Yes. They go to Swigs for Dirty Soda so Mat: so yeah that's some drama there so guess we'll see what happens but that's my recap real quick it's all over the place but I think I got it all okay good let's move on tell us about episode two Ben okay Michelle Harris: she can introduce him to Dirty Sodas. where is he from? So the intro plays and we come back and it's showing us Taylor at Call Her Daddy, the podcast with Alex Cooper. This is how she's announcing she's on the Bachelorette. Like they have the exclusive reveal that Taylor's gonna be the Bachelorette. Okay. All right. Mat: Okay, all right Michelle Harris: At this point I'm like, why the hell are you flying a man out to meet you then? Right. If you know you're going on the bachelorette, you know that this news is gonna drop the weekend he's coming to visit. Like it just seems all weird to me. Mat: Right Yeah as being the bachelorette and the girls in the interviews expressed how excited they are for Taylor and how great of an opportunity this is. Nikila says she's loved seeing Taylor put Dakota in his place. Michelle Harris: It cuts to news reports of Taylor's big announcement as being the Bachelorette and the girls in interviews express how excited they are for Taylor and how great of an opportunity this is. Michaela says she's loved seeing Taylor put Dakota in his place, so it'd be nice to see Taylor put other men in their places too. We get back to Taylor's house and Taylor and Ben are hanging out. Mat: Okay Right, okay Michelle Harris: Taylor asks Ben about his religion and what he thinks about Mormonism. Taylor says she's keeping her guard up with Ben because she doesn't want to repeat what she's done in the past with moving too fast with someone. Again, I think it's a little fast flying someone out after talking to them for two weeks. So Mat: Yeah. Michelle Harris: yeah. She says this is good practice for her to get out of her comfort zone and that this that's all this really is is practice for the bachelorette. Flew Ben out to practice I know dating him. They ask to come over to meet him and they say that all of mom talk is coming over. Mat: All right Michelle Harris: After this the rest of their interaction is like so awkward, like Taylor's like, Do you think my socks are sexy? and they're like blue tall socks and he's like, Yeah, that was just what I was thinking. I was about to say that And I'm like, I don't need to see any more of this relationship if that's what you wanna Mat: and they're just in blue tall socks. like, yeah, that was just what I was thinking. They got a place. Yeah. Wow. OK. moved out. They're on their own. Good. Good. Jen is trying on dresses for the event she has coming up, leading up to Dancing with the Stars. guess they have to go to Billy. They're invited to the Emmy. Zach says that there's been some crazy stuff going down, but he's been asked not to tell. And you can't just say that to your Right. Right. So Jen's like, Can you just tell me? Like just thank God my husband. Yeah. Yeah. She's like, Fuck this shit. So back in Utah, to me, Macy, Layla, Miranda, Mat: Okay. And they're just sitting there like Whitney can hear the FaceTime. She's there. Yeah. What the hell? Yeah, she's like, Thank God my husband's not there. She's so back in Utah to me, Macy, Leila, Miranda. Michelle Harris: Michaela, and Jesse all show up at Taylor's house to meet Ben. Layla thinks he looks like Dakota. Mat: okay Michelle Harris: Michaela thinks this whole situation is weird because of the Bachelorette announcement. Yeah, yeah. Ben, like, immediately kinda like fits right in though. So I'm like, maybe it's not that bad of a thing. He sits like right down the middle Mat: yeah yeah Michelle Harris: of the group and they put him through a little interrogation. Jesse asks what he does. He says he's a program manager for a tech company, but recently got laid off a month ago. Michaela thinks that that's a huge red flag. Mat: Okay. And Mat: right, yeah, Leila confronted him, yeah. Michelle Harris: Jordan's like, Well, like, I don't like you. And then it just caused this whole riff and Jordan fucking likes you, Jordan. And it's about to it's about to get a lot of people don't like him. boy. Mat: Yeah, well nobody fucking likes you Jordan chill out. boy. boy. All right All the girls think that the guys are hiding something. And in my head, was like, no, the episode was just lame. Nothing actually besides the Jordan confronting Marciano. Like, you know, like nothing actually really besides the Jordan confronting Marciano and then Chase hooked up with a girl. I'm like, not a lot happened out there. Right, from Mat: right from watching the episode, yeah. Michelle Harris: watching the episode. Yeah. Then it hit me. Vanderpump Villa before they aired that episode removed all of Dakota's scenes from it because of the lawsuit and the video that came out between Dakota and Taylor. So there is a lot more that's coming up that's insinuated with Dakota out there that they didn't air. wow. Okay. Mat: wow, okay, interesting right, right, so they just took did you really see Dakota at all then Michelle Harris: So right when Vanderpompt Villa was about to air the Dad Talk, the video came out. Everyone was like, The Bachelorette, should that come out? Should this come out? All this stuff. So they just So they pulled really see Dakota at all? You only saw him in like group scenes. Okay. He was with Marciano and Chase when they were talking about the Jordan drama. Yeah. But you did not see him thinking about it, like thinking back to episode he did. Mat: Okay Yeah, yeah like thinking about it like thinking back to the podcast episodes we did I don't like I don't recall you really mentioning him at all or like talking about him Right, yeah Michelle Harris: Yeah. I you really mentioning him. No, and then he was he was in the stairs when Stasi was confronting Jordan. Right. But he didn't really say much. So that is what these guys are hiding too. So you never really see, but we kinda learn a little bit more later. Okay. Mat: all right in that moment i'm like what's what's this yeah there's no the episode was late yeah it was kind late and then it hit me that okay interesting Michelle Harris: But it was in that moment I'm like, What's the what's this big secret? I'm like the the sh the episode was lame. I'm like it wa it was kinda lame. And then it hit me that I'm like, fuck. Mat: so i'm wondering if that's why we had Michelle Harris: So I'm wondering if that's why we had more of Stasi with her sister scenes, like if they infilled those, because there was a lot like between her and her family and like drama with that, and then they put in a lot of stuff with the staff that I'm like, this is kind of a snooze fest, but they probably had to go back and like find shit and like fill it in.
