Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:09Speaker 1: Kate Torber and coming up on today's show, Molly May
- 0:12Speaker 1: reveals Tommy Fury has been living in their secret family home.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Michaela Testa puts two Aussie influencers on blast for supporting
- 0:20Speaker 1: Addis Paul. Talia Skanes reveals why she's really selling Casa Suu.
- 0:25Speaker 1: and our Friday debrief. But first, Matt Sikowsky has revealed
- 0:29Speaker 1: he changes his jogs at least three times a day.
- 0:32Speaker 1: On his podcast, he and his co-host Anna McAvoy were
- 0:35Speaker 1: discussing petty couple debates when it came up how over
- 0:39Speaker 1: the top he is about cleanliness. That sounds pretty extreme,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but as a pregnant woman in the third trimester, I'm
- 0:44Speaker 1: changing my underpants just as a Wow, that's too much
- 0:47Speaker 1: information there. How many undies does this guy own? Is
- 0:50Speaker 1: he trying to get some sort of sponsorship with Bonds? Nah, well,
- 0:54Speaker 1: it sounds like he's trying to get a sponsorship deal
- 0:55Speaker 1: from Calvin Klein because he said he's only got Calvin Klein's. Oh,
- 0:59Speaker 1: fuck off. Yeah, he said he buys them on sale.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Do we think he's smelly? Is that why he's having
- 1:03Speaker 1: to change them all the time? I think he's actually
- 1:05Speaker 1: a germaphobe because I have heard on his podcast before
- 1:08Speaker 1: how he used to actually put a towel down on
- 1:11Speaker 1: his bed to sit on it if he was wearing
- 1:13Speaker 1: his work clothes and he wasn't in his house clothes.
- 1:16Speaker 1: He's one of those people. Is this what's tip-tamming over
- 1:18Speaker 1: the edge of unfollowing him? She's like, I'm so sick
- 1:20Speaker 1: of washing your stinky jocks. Well, that's 21 pairs of
- 1:23Speaker 1: jocks a week that he's getting through. Yeah, that's at least.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Is that why he had to marry a millionaire so
- 1:28Speaker 1: he could afford 21 new Calvin Klein jocks a week?
- 1:30Speaker 1: I want to know what the condition of his jocks
- 1:32Speaker 1: are because, you know, some men, they have those jocks
- 1:34Speaker 1: that they've been held onto for like five years. They've
- 1:36Speaker 1: got the holes in the crotch. Oh, my God. I'm
- 1:38Speaker 1: having to hold off from exposing my husband here because
- 1:42Speaker 1: now that some of his colleagues listen to the podcast,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I won't go into it. But fuck, he needs some
- 1:46Speaker 1: Calvin Klein. I feel like you not saying anything has
- 1:49Speaker 1: exposed what his underpants might look like. On Tammy and
- 1:53Speaker 1: Matt's relationship, he did reference her a couple of times
- 1:55Speaker 1: on the podcast. And it's kind of weird because he
- 1:58Speaker 1: actually records the podcast in Melbourne. So he's often flying
- 2:02Speaker 1: back home to just do his job, essentially. You think
- 2:05Speaker 1: he could remotely do that? Yeah. Well, I think they
- 2:07Speaker 1: record in the Nova studio. So maybe he has to
- 2:09Speaker 1: be there in person. Well, I've seen with Abby Chatfield's
- 2:12Speaker 1: podcast on maths, her producer is in Melbourne and she's
- 2:15Speaker 1: in Sydney. Well, there's definitely ways around it, but he
- 2:19Speaker 1: referenced how after the podcast recording, he was going to
- 2:21Speaker 1: go see a movie by himself because Tammy doesn't want
- 2:24Speaker 1: to see it with him. Doesn't he also work for
- 2:26Speaker 1: his dad's pool business or something? So maybe he's still
- 2:29Speaker 1: doing that in Melbourne as well. Well, he's referenced working
- 2:31Speaker 1: on the Gold Coast, so he must have a new job.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Molly May has revealed that just weeks before her shock
- 2:36Speaker 1: split from fiance Tommy Fury, the couple had secretly moved
- 2:40Speaker 1: into their dream family home. The confession comes just days
- 2:44Speaker 1: after Molly shared a photo of Tommy on her Instagram
- 2:47Speaker 1: story for the first time since their breakup. Yeah. So
- 2:50Speaker 1: on Monday, she shared a photo of Tommy and their
- 2:52Speaker 1: daughter Bambi walking hand in hand during yet another family getaway.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You were so excited by this, Sophie.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You called me.
- 2:59Speaker 1: You're like, oh my God, they're back together. This is confirmation.
- 3:01Speaker 1: They're back together. I sent the screenshot to everyone. Was
- 3:04Speaker 1: the Dubai holiday not enough confirmation for you?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing.
- 3:06Speaker 1: For those who aren't across this story, a week before
- 3:09Speaker 1: they had gone on what was being publicized as a
- 3:11Speaker 1: reconciliation holiday to Dubai, This time they were enjoying a
- 3:16Speaker 1: family getaway at Centre Parks, which is a UK based
- 3:19Speaker 1: chain of holiday villages, which offers short breaks in woodland settings.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I only know about this place because influencer Anastasia Kingsnorth
- 3:26Speaker 1: goes there every Christmas with her family. Is it just
- 3:29Speaker 1: me or I always think it looks kind of average.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Like I'm surprised that these top influencers are going there.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I thought the same thing. But then in Anastasia's most
- 3:37Speaker 1: recent vlog over Christmas, She showed that they've got a
- 3:39Speaker 1: Starbucks there. They've got multiple restaurants. It's a really family-friendly place.
- 3:44Speaker 1: There's heaps of activities for kids. Tommy also shared a
- 3:47Speaker 1: number of photos of himself on this vacation with his
- 3:50Speaker 1: daughter Bambi, but he didn't share any photos of Molly.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And he captioned one of the photos, best weekend with
- 3:56Speaker 1: a love heart. It's quite interesting because I was thinking,
- 3:58Speaker 1: how are they getting around this park, which is very
- 4:01Speaker 1: public and has a lot of other families there? And
- 4:03Speaker 1: The Sun was actually reporting that a park security guard
- 4:06Speaker 1: had to escort them To their lodge and back and forth.
- 4:09Speaker 1: There are some really big lodges there that obviously a
- 4:12Speaker 1: lot of rich people stay in. Like in one of
- 4:14Speaker 1: Anastasia's vlogs, she was walking past one of these massive
- 4:17Speaker 1: lodges and the people were so rich that they had
- 4:19Speaker 1: their own snow machine. So you can see there are
- 4:21Speaker 1: a lot of wealthy people who stay there. Since all
- 4:23Speaker 1: of the publicity around this reconciliation holiday, Molly has been
- 4:28Speaker 1: forced to address it in a recent vlog. She said
- 4:30Speaker 1: that the couple are figuring things out. Here's some of
- 4:33Speaker 1: what she said.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I don't want you guys to think that I'm not being... um,
- 4:37Speaker 3: honest about, like, who went on the holiday to Dubai, like,
- 4:42Speaker 3: all of that stuff, and actually, I did do a
- 4:45Speaker 3: big talking section about Dubai, and the fact that, yes, Dubai,
- 4:51Speaker 3: we were going with Tommy, but I didn't end up
- 4:54Speaker 3: putting it in the last vlog, just because, I don't know,
- 4:56Speaker 3: I got this scared, and I was just like, I'm not,
- 4:58Speaker 3: I don't know if this is good, I don't know,
- 5:00Speaker 3: I just didn't want the anxiety of it when we
- 5:02Speaker 3: were going away, um, so yeah, I just thought I'd
- 5:04Speaker 3: say it's, I'm not, like, keeping it secret. Like, obviously
- 5:07Speaker 3: it's not secret. Like, we went on holiday to Dubai
- 5:10Speaker 3: with Tommy, Bambi's dad. And we had a really, really, really,
- 5:15Speaker 3: really amazing time. Like, probably the best holiday ever for
- 5:18Speaker 3: all of us.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It'd be really hard navigating this in the public eye
- 5:21Speaker 1: because it's not, as she said, as though they can
- 5:23Speaker 1: go down the road for a drink or go for
- 5:25Speaker 1: a walk. They've almost got to go on these holidays
- 5:28Speaker 1: to get away from the UK press. What first world problems?
- 5:30Speaker 1: We can only go on an international holiday together. We
- 5:33Speaker 1: can't go down to the pub. In this vlog, Molly
- 5:35Speaker 1: also touched on this theory that a lot of fans
- 5:37Speaker 1: have that she's holding off from announcing that they're back
- 5:41Speaker 1: together because she wants to announce it in the doco.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And she said that this isn't the case at all.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And she would never agree to a contract that stopped
- 5:49Speaker 1: her from telling her followers things first on her channel.
- 5:52Speaker 1: What that told me was her YouTube channel is obviously
- 5:55Speaker 1: extremely important to her. I think it's more lucrative than
- 5:57Speaker 1: this deal with Amazon because she's always putting it first.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I was quite surprised how open she was with her
- 6:04Speaker 1: viewers about all of this. I think it's more connecting
- 6:07Speaker 1: with her fans and she would look at YouTube as
- 6:10Speaker 1: a platform where she connects to her number one fans.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Those are the people that she can convert to sales
- 6:16Speaker 1: for her brand. Her number one fans like Sophie on YouTube.
- 6:19Speaker 1: On Thursday, Molly proved that she's not just keeping all
- 6:21Speaker 1: of this information for Amazon because she dropped a massive
- 6:24Speaker 1: bomb about the couple's living arrangements on her YouTube channel.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So she revealed that right before the couple split up,
- 6:31Speaker 1: They'd taken a huge step as a family and actually
- 6:33Speaker 1: moved into a home that they dubbed their dream forever home.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It cracks me up. It's like, oh, they've taken this
- 6:38Speaker 1: huge step as a family. They already were in a
- 6:40Speaker 1: dream home. So I'm guessing the other dream home is
- 6:43Speaker 1: even bigger and better. How amazing must this be? Because
- 6:45Speaker 1: they've only just finished renovating it all. I'm dying to
- 6:48Speaker 1: see what this house is like. I'm sure in time
- 6:50Speaker 1: we will see the full extent of how luxurious it is.
- 6:52Speaker 1: But she broke this news while she was vlogging in
- 6:55Speaker 1: the new home. And she referred to it as Tommy's
- 6:58Speaker 1: house because that's where he has been residing during the breakup.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's interesting to find out that that's where he's been
- 7:04Speaker 1: living because there was this view that he'd had to
- 7:07Speaker 1: go and live in some smaller house and that Molly
- 7:09Speaker 1: was the one that was keeping the house. Yeah, it
- 7:11Speaker 1: really blew my mind because following the split, the media
- 7:14Speaker 1: were essentially reporting that Tommy had been kicked to the
- 7:16Speaker 1: curb and he was forced to move out of their mansion.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And people were really relieved to find out that the
- 7:22Speaker 1: mansion was in Molly's name and she seemed to be
- 7:25Speaker 1: financially looked after in that way. No, no, Tommy's just
- 7:28Speaker 1: moved to a bigger, better mansion. Well, yeah. And remember,
- 7:30Speaker 1: there were those iconic shots of the large skip bins
- 7:33Speaker 1: out the front and people were thinking that maybe this
- 7:36Speaker 1: was a statement by Molly and she'd thrown his possessions
- 7:38Speaker 1: in the bin. But it turns out that they had
- 7:42Speaker 1: just been in the process of moving and that's why
- 7:44Speaker 1: the bins were there. It's interesting it was Molly that
- 7:46Speaker 1: had to move back into the old house. Do you
- 7:48Speaker 1: think it was because she didn't want to admit to
- 7:49Speaker 1: her followers that they had just bought a house? Because
- 7:52Speaker 1: so many people were speculating what has happened clearly something
- 7:55Speaker 1: massive has happened to trigger the breakup. And knowing that
- 7:58Speaker 1: the couple had just moved into a new house proves
- 8:01Speaker 1: it even more that there was something that went down
- 8:03Speaker 1: to trigger the breakup. It could be because the other
- 8:06Speaker 1: house was just in Molly's name, whereas the new house
- 8:09Speaker 1: would have been in both of their names. And I
- 8:11Speaker 1: know there are legalities around, for example, if things had
- 8:14Speaker 1: turned sour between Molly and Tommy, if he'd been living
- 8:17Speaker 1: in her house he might have even more of a
- 8:20Speaker 1: claim to it. Well, she said that the fact that
- 8:22Speaker 1: they had moved made the breakup even more difficult because
- 8:25Speaker 1: she had to go back to this empty house. Here's
- 8:28Speaker 1: more of what she said.
- 8:29Speaker 3: And basically we were in the process of moving house.
- 8:35Speaker 3: All of my house was packed up. There was even
- 8:37Speaker 3: like a few shots in like one of my vlogs
- 8:39Speaker 3: where like my wardrobe was completely empty and like a
- 8:41Speaker 3: couple of people noticed, I think, and they were like,
- 8:43Speaker 3: where's all our clothes gone? But like My whole house, like,
- 8:46Speaker 3: where Tommy and I were living, like, it got completely
- 8:48Speaker 3: packed up. And we moved over into this house. It
- 8:55Speaker 3: was even more of, like, a hard time than, like,
- 8:58Speaker 3: anyone even probably realised because I'd, like, literally, like, my
- 9:02Speaker 3: house and where we were living was completely empty. Like,
- 9:06Speaker 3: it was packed up. Like, there was nothing left in there. Like,
- 9:09Speaker 3: I had people coming to view it, to rent it.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And we were moving out.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We had moved out. You can tell that Molly's really
- 9:17Speaker 1: concerned that her followers are going to be pissed off
- 9:19Speaker 1: that she hasn't been opening up about these things because
- 9:22Speaker 1: she said that she feels bad that she's missed out
- 9:25Speaker 1: this huge chapter of her life. And she explained that
- 9:27Speaker 1: she was actually getting ready to tell everyone about the move,
- 9:30Speaker 1: but then they abruptly broke up. And she explained that
- 9:33Speaker 1: she'd only been living in the house a couple of
- 9:35Speaker 1: weeks and she tried to drop hints before they moved in.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So she said in one vlog, if you go back
- 9:40Speaker 1: and have a look, she did tell her followers that
- 9:43Speaker 1: they had a really big change as a family coming
- 9:45Speaker 1: up and that there was a lot going on at
- 9:47Speaker 1: the time a lot of people probably assumed she was
- 9:50Speaker 1: teasing the breakup yeah well they've had to be careful
- 9:52Speaker 1: about their houses because they of course had that very
- 9:55Speaker 1: highly publicized break in. So you can understand why she
- 9:58Speaker 1: has been quiet about it. Well, the reason that she
- 10:00Speaker 1: said she's chosen to open up about it now is
- 10:02Speaker 1: because she's going to be spending a lot more time
- 10:04Speaker 1: back at the house. She said she's going to be
- 10:06Speaker 1: vlogging and she's not going to be hiding it. Well,
- 10:08Speaker 1: that makes even more sense why her sister Zoe and
- 10:11Speaker 1: her husband Danny have moved into Molly's house. I wonder
- 10:13Speaker 1: if she's renting it to them or it's kind of
- 10:16Speaker 1: like a backup plan in case things go sour with
- 10:18Speaker 1: Tommy and she's got to go back. I thought they
- 10:20Speaker 1: were just going to be her live-in babysitters for Bambi. Yeah, well,
- 10:23Speaker 1: the final instalment of the Molly Mae doco can't come
- 10:26Speaker 1: quick enough. The last three episodes are coming out on
- 10:28Speaker 1: the 9th of May. Amy, you will have a baby
- 10:31Speaker 1: by then. Yeah, hopefully he'll enjoy Molly Mae's doco. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 1: maybe we'll come over here and watch it with him.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Michaela Tester has put two Australian influencers on blast for
- 10:41Speaker 1: supporting Addis Paul. The OnlyFans creator called out Karina Irby
- 10:45Speaker 1: and Saskia Tage for endorsing Addis' Instagram statement where he
- 10:49Speaker 1: defended himself against serious allegations Michaela made. Kate, can you
- 10:53Speaker 1: tell us more? Well, Michaela has been keeping a close
- 10:56Speaker 1: eye on who likes Addis Paul's recent Instagram post. And
- 11:00Speaker 1: as she does, she shared receipts to her Instagram story
- 11:02Speaker 1: of the influencers who have liked the post. And those
- 11:06Speaker 1: influencers were Karina Irby, who owns Moana Swim, and Saskia Tage,
- 11:10Speaker 1: who is a model and co-founder of fashion label Amelia Tage.
- 11:14Speaker 1: There seems to be a lot of confusion around who
- 11:16Speaker 1: Saskia is. She hasn't been on a lot of people's
- 11:19Speaker 1: radars before. I think that just demonstrates how saturated the
- 11:22Speaker 1: influencer market is. I mean, she's got close to half
- 11:24Speaker 1: a million followers and her own brand. Most influencers have
- 11:27Speaker 1: their own brand though, don't they? Well, this one actually
- 11:29Speaker 1: seems quite successful. So Michaela opened up saying she'd bought
- 11:32Speaker 1: from both Moana Swim and Amelia Tage. I don't think
- 11:35Speaker 1: she'll be buying anything from them anymore now. No. Well,
- 11:37Speaker 1: she came out swinging saying that she hopes no woman
- 11:39Speaker 1: buys from their companies because they clearly don't support women
- 11:42Speaker 1: if they're liking Addis' posts after what he's been accused of.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Michaela wrote, these two women have shown zero support for me,
- 11:48Speaker 1: yet they scramble to like this man's post. She went
- 11:51Speaker 1: on to say, if you actively make money off of women,
- 11:53Speaker 1: make sure you actually support the women that are feeding
- 11:56Speaker 1: money into your pockets. She then followed up by sharing
- 11:58Speaker 1: a screenshot of a DM that she sent Saskia Tage,
- 12:00Speaker 1: which read, Girl, you've had five days to unlike the post.
- 12:16Speaker 1: People have been calling you out all over the shop
- 12:18Speaker 1: and you've been deleting comments. You've only just unliked it now.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Don't play victim. This man has not posted in years.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It's bizarre to me that these women would show public
- 12:26Speaker 1: support for somebody like Addis Poole. It reminds me a
- 12:28Speaker 1: bit of when these boyfriends get caught out liking bikini
- 12:32Speaker 1: photos and you're just like, couldn't you have just looked
- 12:34Speaker 1: at it and read it and just moved on? Why
- 12:37Speaker 1: did you have to like it? Yeah, just mentally like it.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And I mean, if they are supporting Addis Poole behind
- 12:42Speaker 1: closed doors, Why don't they just message him their support?
- 12:45Speaker 1: I mean, people aren't throwing out a lot of likes
- 12:47Speaker 1: these days. So people were not happy about this. Both
- 12:50Speaker 1: of these influencers received an influx of messages from disgruntled followers.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Karina Irby ended up having to release a statement on
- 12:58Speaker 1: her Instagram story. And to give you full context, I'm
- 13:01Speaker 1: going to read this verbatim. So she wrote a little
- 13:03Speaker 1: disclaimer for all of the new traffic and hate I'm
- 13:05Speaker 1: receiving right now. I don't support the behavior of the
- 13:08Speaker 1: person in any way, shape or form. I have never
- 13:11Speaker 1: followed nor supported or engaged. I just saw a shared
- 13:15Speaker 1: post from a close friend posting his slide with a
- 13:18Speaker 1: broken heart emoji. I clicked it, read a few lines
- 13:21Speaker 1: and got confused and left. I inadvertently like so many
- 13:24Speaker 1: posts on my socials. I share likes and share love
- 13:27Speaker 1: on anyone who is creating. And I obviously double tap
- 13:30Speaker 1: something that definitely didn't deserve a double tap. Right now,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I feel really stupid for not actually reading the whole
- 13:36Speaker 1: thing and doing my research. As soon as I was
- 13:38Speaker 1: informed that I had liked something of that nature, My
- 13:41Speaker 1: lack was of course removed. I don't really know what
- 13:43Speaker 1: else to say aside from I have been in contact
- 13:45Speaker 1: with Michaela and explained myself. I understand this is a
- 13:49Speaker 1: serious and concerning situation. As a supporter of women, I
- 13:52Speaker 1: am always on the side of the victims and I
- 13:54Speaker 1: will always hear their stories. My comments are off because
- 13:57Speaker 1: I'm on location today and cannot be replying endlessly to hate.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I don't know what else to say. This was a
- 14:02Speaker 1: stupid accident and I'm sorry. Now, there are so many
- 14:06Speaker 1: holes in that excuse, but before we dissect it, let's
- 14:09Speaker 1: hear what Saskia Tej had to say. So she also
- 14:13Speaker 1: released a statement on her Instagram story following a similar
- 14:16Speaker 1: tact to Karina. She wrote, guys, please stop harassing me.
- 14:20Speaker 1: This is so ridiculous. I don't know any of these
- 14:22Speaker 1: people and I don't follow anything that's circulating over this
- 14:25Speaker 1: whole family and this girl. And I'm watching everything unfold
- 14:29Speaker 1: as you all are. I would have been scrolling and
- 14:31Speaker 1: accidentally like something for this girl to publicly attack a
- 14:34Speaker 1: literal random person with absolutely no desire or need for
- 14:37Speaker 1: any of this is insanity. Like I'm literally here in
- 14:40Speaker 1: my own lane at work going about my life and
- 14:42Speaker 1: now getting death threats. Like what? I don't want nor
- 14:45Speaker 1: care to be involved in any of that mess. Keep
- 14:47Speaker 1: it to yourself. I'm getting death threats over something that
- 14:49Speaker 1: I literally have nothing to do with. Stop bullying and
- 14:52Speaker 1: harassing me because someone told you to. You didn't know
- 14:55Speaker 1: who I was two minutes ago. I don't condone any
- 14:57Speaker 1: of these things. To say that I do over innocently
- 15:00Speaker 1: liking without even reading is just insane to me. Remind
- 15:03Speaker 1: me never to scroll through Instagram again. Do we buy
- 15:06Speaker 1: that they both accidentally liked the post? No, it's a
- 15:09Speaker 1: complete cop-out. They've gone, oh shit, this makes us look
- 15:12Speaker 1: so bad. I mean, particularly because they left their like
- 15:14Speaker 1: up for five days, even though their followers were telling them, hey,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you shouldn't have liked this. I also find it hard
- 15:19Speaker 1: to believe that they didn't know anything about the Addis
- 15:22Speaker 1: and Anna and Michaela situation. It has been all over
- 15:24Speaker 1: my TikTok feed. Like even my husband is now aware
- 15:27Speaker 1: of what's going on. Well, Saskia clearly didn't read the
- 15:29Speaker 1: room because I think if she'd done any research into
- 15:33Speaker 1: the feud, she'd realise that so many people are on
- 15:35Speaker 1: Michaela's side and it doesn't look great for her to
- 15:37Speaker 1: be referring to as some girl. Yeah, that was very patronising. Yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and I mean they've totally contradicted themselves in those statements
- 15:44Speaker 1: because they both claimed at one point that they accidentally
- 15:46Speaker 1: liked the post. Karina even said that she inadvertently likes
- 15:49Speaker 1: so many posts on Instagram and But then in the
- 15:52Speaker 1: next breath, they both said that they should have read
- 15:54Speaker 1: the post before liking it. So which one is it?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Because then Karina's like, oh, when I read further into
- 15:58Speaker 1: the post, I realized I didn't agree with it. Well,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you clearly agreed with something because you put your like
- 16:03Speaker 1: towards it. And let's say that it was a legitimate accident.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Then why didn't they both just jump on their stories
- 16:09Speaker 1: and go, Oh, my God, I'm so embarrassed. I had
- 16:12Speaker 1: no idea that I like this. I do not stand
- 16:14Speaker 1: with Addis Paul, Michaela. I'm so sorry. And apologise to
- 16:17Speaker 1: Michaela instead of coming back at her in an aggressive way.
- 16:20Speaker 1: This is a victim of alleged sexual assault. Yeah, I
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't know this girl. And I'm just some random. It's
- 16:26Speaker 1: like you've got 500,000 followers. Like you clearly have enough
- 16:28Speaker 1: influence that you've got your own fashion label. And why
- 16:30Speaker 1: are you following Addis Paul? Yeah, well, also it's clear
- 16:33Speaker 1: that one of Karina Irby's friends supports Addis Paul because
- 16:35Speaker 1: they're the ones that shared it to their story with
- 16:37Speaker 1: that broken heart emoji. Yeah. Yeah, that says it all,
- 16:40Speaker 1: doesn't it? And they were just so defensive. Why are
- 16:44Speaker 1: you being defensive about it? If you've made a mistake,
- 16:46Speaker 1: come out and say, I've made a mistake. They were
- 16:47Speaker 1: probably getting defensive because of the death threats that they
- 16:50Speaker 1: were receiving and felt like maybe Michaela was spurring it on.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And I never think that it's ever, ever appropriate to
- 16:56Speaker 1: troll someone in that way. But I don't think it's
- 16:59Speaker 1: right to get defensive and shift the blame to Michaela. Yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 1: there's been a lot of chatter about this on TikTok
- 17:04Speaker 1: and someone even shared a video of themselves burning the
- 17:07Speaker 1: Moana bikini. It actually took me back to 2020 when
- 17:10Speaker 1: people were burning Chloe Zep's activewear. Just love how extreme
- 17:13Speaker 1: that is. We're in a cost of living crisis, people.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Maybe we should donate this stuff to Vinnies instead of
- 17:19Speaker 1: burning it and binning it. I mean, everyone's been binning
- 17:21Speaker 1: Anna Paul's skincare. Like, I mean, there's a lot of
- 17:24Speaker 1: good stuff in the bin at the moment. I actually
- 17:26Speaker 1: came across this really good TikTok from an influencer called Yasmin.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So she was the girl that was embroiled in that
- 17:32Speaker 1: By Bambi scandal. I think it was last year. And
- 17:36Speaker 1: she made some great points. And Michaela commented saying it
- 17:38Speaker 1: was no accident. They were deleting comments of people coming
- 17:41Speaker 1: for them for days. They did not unlike Addis' post
- 17:44Speaker 1: until after I commented. She then went on to say
- 17:47Speaker 1: that Saskia was full of it. There is still no
- 17:50Speaker 1: word on when Michaela is going to release episode three
- 17:52Speaker 1: of her podcast. I'm guessing it may be this Saturday night,
- 17:55Speaker 1: so I'm going to buy some snacks just in case.
- 17:58Speaker 1: She has put out a call out on her Instagram
- 18:00Speaker 1: story saying, if there are any more of Addis Paul's
- 18:02Speaker 1: victims out in the world and are reading this, just
- 18:05Speaker 1: know that the NDA you signed is completely void if
- 18:07Speaker 1: he abused slash assaulted you in any way. It's a
- 18:10Speaker 1: scare tactic he uses with these women that he meets
- 18:13Speaker 1: off apps. So, I'm wondering if she is going to
- 18:16Speaker 1: do a part three that was already planned out and
- 18:19Speaker 1: then she's going to actually record an additional episode of
- 18:22Speaker 1: this podcast with some people who know the Pauls. There's
- 18:26Speaker 1: been another video that's been released of Addis Paul supposedly
- 18:30Speaker 1: at another pharmacy with another young girl. What? Yeah. I
- 18:34Speaker 1: haven't seen that one yet. Yeah. Everyone seems to be
- 18:36Speaker 1: capturing him in the wild. I'm not sure of the
- 18:38Speaker 1: legitimacy of the video, but it's just interesting that this
- 18:42Speaker 1: keeps coming out. It's so interesting that he's at pharmacies
- 18:45Speaker 1: at the counter with young girls. After weeks of speculation,
- 18:50Speaker 1: Talia Skanes has revealed why she's selling her dream home,
- 18:54Speaker 1: Casa Su. Last month, the Bali-based influencer shocked her followers
- 18:58Speaker 1: when she announced the Uluwatu mansion was up for sale
- 19:00Speaker 1: just months after moving in. So Talia seemed quite shocked
- 19:04Speaker 1: that her followers were so confused by the sale. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: really think she is forgetting how she promoted this house
- 19:09Speaker 1: to her followers because for two years now, she's been
- 19:12Speaker 1: documenting this build and what it's like to be a
- 19:14Speaker 1: young Aussie couple living in Bali. And on countless occasions,
- 19:18Speaker 1: she has referred to this mansion as her dream home.
- 19:21Speaker 1: And she's referred that it'll be her and her partner
- 19:23Speaker 1: Jake's permanent residence whilst they live in Bali. She even
- 19:27Speaker 1: made a home account for the villa and she's given
- 19:29Speaker 1: it the name Casa Sue. which means home at the
- 19:32Speaker 1: end of the river. So it's even got the word
- 19:34Speaker 1: home in the title. Yet Talia is now saying that
- 19:38Speaker 1: she's so surprised that her followers weren't aware that Casa
- 19:41Speaker 1: Su was simply an investment property that she and her partner, Jake,
- 19:45Speaker 1: who is a property developer, were working on. Here's part
- 19:48Speaker 1: of what she said.
- 19:49Speaker 2: How many people were so shocked that we're selling Casa Su?
- 19:54Speaker 3: Which actually took me by surprise.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I guess I didn't say it like earlier, but it
- 19:58Speaker 2: was like always the plan for us to sell Casa Su.
- 20:02Speaker 2: It kind of shocked me because Jake is a property developer,
- 20:04Speaker 2: as you guys know, and that's literally what he does.
- 20:07Speaker 2: He builds villas, builds houses. sells them, sells them and
- 20:12Speaker 2: rents them out for people. Like, you know, all of that,
- 20:14Speaker 2: like that's what he does. That's how he makes money.
- 20:17Speaker 2: So I kind of thought that people would expect that.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I feel like most of Talia's followers know that Jake
- 20:22Speaker 1: is a property developer and it kind of makes sense
- 20:24Speaker 1: now that this place is an investment property now that
- 20:27Speaker 1: it's been pointed out. But this YouTube series that she
- 20:30Speaker 1: created about the home, it was sold very differently to us.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Not once did they outline that the plan all along
- 20:36Speaker 1: was to sell Casa Suu And I feel like they
- 20:39Speaker 1: knew what they were doing because they wanted their followers
- 20:41Speaker 1: to buy into this dream and invest in this journey
- 20:45Speaker 1: of watching a young couple build their dream home. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: don't think that they would have got the engagement and
- 20:50Speaker 1: reaction to it if they just said, oh, this is
- 20:51Speaker 1: an investment property. Yeah, but I don't think anyone was
- 20:54Speaker 1: reacting like that. Like I would watch this YouTube series
- 20:56Speaker 1: and think, oh, this is, so out of touch for
- 20:59Speaker 1: how I live. I mean, firstly, I don't live in Bali.
- 21:01Speaker 1: It's not really about a young couple building their dream home.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It's not relatable content. It might be fun to have
- 21:07Speaker 1: a look at what they choose for a villa. But
- 21:09Speaker 1: all over TikTok, she kept saying, look at my dream home.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And that was getting so many clicks and so much engagement.
- 21:15Speaker 1: If she'd said, look at my dream investment property, it
- 21:17Speaker 1: wouldn't have got the same buy-in from her followers at all. Well,
- 21:20Speaker 1: since Talia announced that the couple was selling... The rumor
- 21:24Speaker 1: mill has been in absolute overdrive. So some of the
- 21:26Speaker 1: speculation has been that maybe the couple is breaking up.
- 21:29Speaker 1: There's also been rumors that they're facing financial difficulties or
- 21:32Speaker 1: that they're actually moving back to Australia. But Talia cleared
- 21:36Speaker 1: this up saying the plan was always to sell Casa Sue.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But now that she reflects, she can see why there's
- 21:41Speaker 1: been some confusion as they only moved into the home
- 21:44Speaker 1: in August. Yeah, and she did confirm that it's the
- 21:47Speaker 1: smartest thing for the couple to do because they've been
- 21:50Speaker 1: offered a large sum of money for the house. She
- 21:53Speaker 1: did say that it's going to be a long settlement.
- 21:55Speaker 1: So they won't be moving out for a few months now.
- 21:58Speaker 1: And they are going to be moving into one of
- 22:00Speaker 1: Jake's other investment developments. So he has this other complex
- 22:05Speaker 1: that has six other villas in it. And it's just
- 22:07Speaker 1: 500 meters down the road from Casa Suu. She also
- 22:11Speaker 1: said that this won't be the last home that they
- 22:13Speaker 1: build and Jake is raring to go with the next
- 22:15Speaker 1: investment property. Yeah, well, Talia has confirmed that she is
- 22:19Speaker 1: going to eventually move back to Australia and that the
- 22:22Speaker 1: couple will only be in Bali for a few more years.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So to me, it's a bit strange that why don't
- 22:26Speaker 1: they just stay in Kassasu for those years and then
- 22:29Speaker 1: sell it when they move back home? Let's get into
- 22:31Speaker 1: our Friday debrief. And Amy, you are going to be
- 22:33Speaker 1: such a good mom. I have watched you this whole
- 22:35Speaker 1: podcast recording multitasking. So You've been presenting the podcast while
- 22:39Speaker 1: sewing your own baby mobile. Yeah, I spoke about this
- 22:42Speaker 1: on the subs, how I've stupidly decided to construct my
- 22:45Speaker 1: own mobile just at 38 weeks and four days pregnant.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I can see why you're doing it. They're so bloody expensive.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I always wanted a golden retriever one. And then I
- 22:53Speaker 1: saw that they're like $ 200 on Etsy. And I was like,
- 22:56Speaker 1: no way. I was thinking that Soph might like a
- 22:59Speaker 1: golden cocker spaniel one. I was like thinking if this
- 23:01Speaker 1: is easy, I could make her one. But I feel
- 23:03Speaker 1: like that might be a bit... Well, no, but yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: it might be a bit beyond my talents, I think. Amy,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I'm actually getting quite sad because this is your last
- 23:10Speaker 1: podcast recording before you go on maternity leave, which is
- 23:13Speaker 1: absolutely crazy. Yeah, well, it's only going to be for
- 23:15Speaker 1: 12 weeks initially because then Sophie's giving birth. Yeah, we
- 23:19Speaker 1: didn't really plan that too well, but you guys will
- 23:22Speaker 1: sort of be taking in turn. So I'll be here,
- 23:24Speaker 1: but yeah, I will be joined by either you or
- 23:26Speaker 1: Sophie throughout that period. And sometimes we might get all
- 23:28Speaker 1: three of us. Sometimes... one of you might want a
- 23:30Speaker 1: break from your baby and you're going to jump in
- 23:31Speaker 1: on the episode. Well, Sophie and I have this idea
- 23:34Speaker 1: that we're just going to be tag teaming, especially when
- 23:36Speaker 1: we go back to our jobs at Hula Media. I've
- 23:39Speaker 1: said to her previously that if we have a Zoom meeting,
- 23:42Speaker 1: for example, one of us could be on Zoom and
- 23:43Speaker 1: the other two could be wrangling the babies. So I
- 23:46Speaker 1: feel like these kids are going to grow up as twins. Well,
- 23:48Speaker 1: triplets with Jack as well. Like I can bring Jack
- 23:50Speaker 1: around here. Maybe, I mean, he's He's nine months old.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Maybe he can look after them. I feel like our
- 23:55Speaker 1: mom's going to be quite busy. Sorry, mom.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Well, how are you feeling? Because have you packed your
- 24:00Speaker 1: hospital bag yet? I actually started packing it last night,
- 24:03Speaker 1: but some of the stuff, like for instance, I went
- 24:05Speaker 1: and bought the comfiest pants from Kmart, like just some trackies.
- 24:08Speaker 1: They're men's trackies. They look absolutely horrendous. And I went
- 24:11Speaker 1: to pack them in my hospital bag and I was like,
- 24:14Speaker 1: wait a second, I'm going to need these in between. Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't get the people that organize this really nice,
- 24:18Speaker 1: like going home outfit for themselves and the baby. I'm like,
- 24:21Speaker 1: literally I rolled out in trackies and could barely walk.
- 24:25Speaker 1: But what is the purpose of leaving the hospital in
- 24:27Speaker 1: a nice outfit? Is it for a photograph that you
- 24:30Speaker 1: want taken or are you expecting to catch up with
- 24:33Speaker 1: family straight after. Maybe it's those people that think they're
- 24:35Speaker 1: really special, that they're like Kate Middleton is going to
- 24:37Speaker 1: be a press conference at the front of the hospital. Well,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I am just so excited for the next couple of
- 24:41Speaker 1: weeks to come. And Amy, thank you for working all
- 24:43Speaker 1: your way up to this very late stage of pregnancy.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That's so good. You did too. So I couldn't take
- 24:51Speaker 1: any time off earlier. I've got to say, like, I'm
- 24:55Speaker 1: not a mum yet, but I've been feeling like this
- 24:58Speaker 1: dirty old woman, basically because of Robert Irwin. So I
- 25:04Speaker 1: saw the photos of him in his bonds underwear. It
- 25:06Speaker 1: was sort of this time last week. Well, you sent
- 25:08Speaker 1: it to me and you're like, have you seen this? Oh,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I said, this should be put up on the Instagram account.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Like I cannot believe this is so iconic, like hats
- 25:16Speaker 1: off to the bonds marketing department. My husband keeps asking
- 25:19Speaker 1: me what color the snake is in the photo shoot.
- 25:21Speaker 1: And I did ask him which snake, but yeah, he's
- 25:25Speaker 1: That's his theory that I paid no attention to their
- 25:27Speaker 1: wildlife in this photo shoot. Well, the reason I said
- 25:30Speaker 1: I felt like some dirty old woman is because every
- 25:33Speaker 1: time I seem to be sitting with Dale, somehow there's
- 25:36Speaker 1: something about Robert Irwin that keeps popping up on my phone.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I'm like, Dale, I haven't even been watching this video.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I saw a few TikToks on it. It was Tara
- 25:46Speaker 1: who used to be on The Bachelor. She was on
- 25:47Speaker 1: Maddie J's series. She's hilarious. She put up this reel.
- 25:51Speaker 1: where it was saying every mother reacting to Robert Irwin's photos.
- 25:55Speaker 1: And she was like, check out that big crocodile in
- 25:59Speaker 1: the photo. And so because I had watched that, then
- 26:02Speaker 1: all of these, you know, it just kept recommending me videos.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I was trying to tell Reese that that was in
- 26:07Speaker 1: my algorithm because we saw an elderly neighbor and she
- 26:10Speaker 1: was even like, did you see Robert Irwin in his underdacks?
- 26:12Speaker 1: And I nearly lost it. And then she had seen
- 26:15Speaker 1: the coverage in the advertiser and they mustn't have picked
- 26:17Speaker 1: a very good photo because she's like, they were trying
- 26:19Speaker 1: to tell us that he had abs. I couldn't see them.
- 26:22Speaker 1: And then I was like, oh, you have to watch
- 26:23Speaker 1: a video because the abs are quite parent in a
- 26:26Speaker 1: video and Reese is like, oh, you've been watching all
- 26:28Speaker 1: the videos. Anyway, my neighbor goes, I've seen better. I
- 26:32Speaker 1: was like, what? It's been really interesting, the take online
- 26:36Speaker 1: about these photographs, because I think some people have had
- 26:38Speaker 1: the view, well, if this was a female celebrity, like
- 26:42Speaker 1: for example, when Nikki Webster came out and she was
- 26:44Speaker 1: in Ralph magazine, there was a lot of discourse about, oh,
- 26:47Speaker 1: is this sexualizing this woman? And you know, are we
- 26:50Speaker 1: now sexualizing Robert Irwin? Well, I think it's because they
- 26:52Speaker 1: were child stars and we've known them since they were
- 26:55Speaker 1: very young because everyone keeps saying, hang on, I thought
- 26:57Speaker 1: Robert Irwin was two years old with a bowl cut.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I just find that so ridiculous though, because Robert Irwin
- 27:03Speaker 1: has been in the zeitgeist for a number of years.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I mean, he's been on I'm a Celebrity hosting for,
- 27:08Speaker 1: was it the past two years? I feel like he's
- 27:11Speaker 1: been a heartthrob for young women for quite a while.
- 27:14Speaker 1: I wasn't that shocked when I saw him with his
- 27:16Speaker 1: top off because A lot of people have been going
- 27:19Speaker 1: on and on and on about him. He is 21
- 27:21Speaker 1: as well. It's not like he's just freshly turned 18.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I think it's more that it's making us millennials feel
- 27:26Speaker 1: old because we're like, oh, actually, I do remember you
- 27:28Speaker 1: as a four-year-old and now you're hot. And it's like,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I mean, I did the whole, how old is Robert
- 27:33Speaker 1: Irwin Google? And it was like, apparently everyone's been doing
- 27:36Speaker 1: it and feeling really bad about it. I do feel
- 27:40Speaker 1: a little bit uncomfortable because I agree that if it
- 27:42Speaker 1: was this child star who was 21 and suddenly all
- 27:45Speaker 1: of these middle-aged men were perving on her, I would
- 27:48Speaker 1: be like, oh, that's disgusting. So it does make you
- 27:50Speaker 1: reflect and be like, oh, am I getting too old to,
- 27:53Speaker 1: you know, say that Robert Irwin is hot? Look, it's
- 27:56Speaker 1: not like I've been perving on him. You go, oh,
- 27:58Speaker 1: he's got a good rig. Like he's obviously a bit
- 28:00Speaker 1: of a heartthrob to the young girls. You can appreciate him. Well,
- 28:04Speaker 1: I actually think it's a great thing that he is
- 28:06Speaker 1: a heartthrob to so many young women because he is
- 28:09Speaker 1: actually such a lovely guy. Yeah. And he's so nice
- 28:12Speaker 1: to his family. He's a wildlife warrior. Yeah. Amy, did
- 28:17Speaker 1: you buy a lot of bonds for Dale this week? No,
- 28:20Speaker 1: I didn't. I just think Robert Irwin seems lovely. And
- 28:22Speaker 1: I say that in sort of like an auntie type way,
- 28:25Speaker 1: like a big sister. He seems very sweet. I think
- 28:28Speaker 1: that's where we'll leave this today. My baby is going
- 28:31Speaker 1: to be called Robert. Bob Irwin. Bob Humphreys. Well, you
- 28:36Speaker 1: heard that scoop here. Amy is calling her baby Bob.
- 28:41Speaker 1: That is where we will be leaving it today. Amy,
- 28:44Speaker 1: I look forward to your return in 12 weeks' time.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I think you're going to be quite tired then, but
- 28:48Speaker 1: we'll have a good chat. I'm tired right now. This
- 28:51Speaker 1: podcast was recorded on the traditional land of the Kaurna
- 28:53Speaker 1: people of the Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to elders
- 28:56Speaker 1: past and present. And if you do enjoy the show,
- 28:58Speaker 1: please leave us a five-star review. Thank you.
