- 0:00Speaker 1: Adam Kaplan from the Inside the Birds podcast is here,
- 0:03Speaker 1: and of course it is Football at four powered by
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Inside the Birds Podcast. Today, let's self scout a
- 0:08Speaker 1: little bit mini buy. You know, the mini bi gives
- 0:12Speaker 1: you a chance to take a couple of days off
- 0:14Speaker 1: look over everything. And we just heard from Kevin Batola.
- 0:19Speaker 1: He says, we do need to run the ball more?
- 0:21Speaker 1: Can they run the ball more? Can they find a
- 0:24Speaker 1: way to run the ball more? Let's self scout the
- 0:26Speaker 1: Eagles first on the offensive side of the ball with
- 0:29Speaker 1: Adam Kaplan from the Inside the Birds Podcast. Who's here
- 0:32Speaker 1: on Football at four Tuesday. What's going on at him?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Michael? Yeah, look, this is a big deal. Then, I
- 0:39Speaker 2: think most fans understand and this comes at the right time,
- 0:43Speaker 2: this mini by Yes, Dave's got handled both sides of
- 0:45Speaker 2: the football and special teams too against the Giants. But
- 0:50Speaker 2: if just are good usually and understanding what they could
- 0:54Speaker 2: do with the extra time when you could just be
- 0:57Speaker 2: in the office on Sunday, which you have to do
- 0:59Speaker 2: on it during a mini buy for the players come
- 1:01Speaker 2: back Monday for the meeting. So yeah, Mike, we'll start
- 1:05Speaker 2: with the running and look, it's been pitiful. We all
- 1:08Speaker 2: know that. In fact, if you on tomorrow's the Inside
- 1:12Speaker 2: the Table with Greco cell we break down, you'll be
- 1:16Speaker 2: surprised that there's two great Sakuon Barkley runs. One of
- 1:18Speaker 2: them was his season high of seven of eighteen yards.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It's not quite what you thought. Like watching I thought
- 1:26Speaker 2: it was one thing, but the block another. Look, we're
- 1:32Speaker 2: we're all, we're all pretty that this offense lunch beautifysically
- 1:36Speaker 2: starting left to right out doesn't have an interest, but
- 1:41Speaker 2: not nearly at the level that we've seen in the past.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We don't know what the issue is Mike Guard. We
- 1:47Speaker 2: know what Land Differson is. We know that that's all physically, Uh,
- 1:51Speaker 2: with this situation, he's beat up physically, not latest as
- 1:54Speaker 2: a left ankle injury. Uh. Cam Jargon's we know it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: not to say him coming back from his back surgery,
- 2:00Speaker 2: Kim Jurgen's and a reporting when he was drafted there
- 2:02Speaker 2: were concerns about lower body injuries coming out of Nebraska.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So this is something we've we've got to continue to
- 2:08Speaker 2: watch with him. Right guard Charlsteen is Greg Cosell will
- 2:12Speaker 2: tell people tomorrow he's up and down so far, and
- 2:16Speaker 2: Lane Johnson's not quite Enoughen. You'll you'll see it. You
- 2:20Speaker 2: hear us talk about lane'z Lanth's not quite his usual
- 2:23Speaker 2: elite self. He's still very good, but he's not elite.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So I don't know, Mike.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yes, they're going to search for what they can do.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But the fact that they rarely run any out, not
- 2:34Speaker 2: just outside zoughing, I'm talking about a toss left or
- 2:37Speaker 2: toss right, that is bizarre to me, Michael. That tells
- 2:40Speaker 2: you physically that they clearly are not themselves. Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So if that's the case, you got to find a
- 2:45Speaker 1: way to run block better if you just don't have
- 2:47Speaker 1: the personnel to do it. I would imagine that running
- 2:50Speaker 1: the football as effectively as they had. You know, listen,
- 2:53Speaker 1: they ran the ball effectively last year. They ran the
- 2:55Speaker 1: ball not as effectively with DeAndre Swift but still pretty good.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And with Miles Sanders the ball pretty effectively. So they've
- 3:01Speaker 1: done it without Saquon Barkley. Now they have Saquon Barkley.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's not as simple as just changing the running back.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You've got to be able to block, and they can't
- 3:09Speaker 1: do it right now.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Mac. That's a good point because we forget Miles Sanders
- 3:13Speaker 2: it's funny people criticize Sanators after he was terrible with
- 3:16Speaker 2: the Panthers and they cut him and he's out for
- 3:18Speaker 2: the season now with the Cowboys on injury reserve. He's
- 3:21Speaker 2: got two injuries coming back this season. So yeah, he's
- 3:25Speaker 2: never the same he left Philly. Now, he was also
- 3:28Speaker 2: very good running it. He ran harder, he ran well.
- 3:30Speaker 2: But he was also a product of the great offensive
- 3:32Speaker 2: line play. So, Mike, their offensive line has been near
- 3:36Speaker 2: elite for several years. You're talking about at a minimum
- 3:41Speaker 2: of the top five line going back six or seven years.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So we're not used seeing this. They've been Look, they're
- 3:48Speaker 2: a middling offensive line right now. That's the truth. Because
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's tape based. This isn't really as Greg co Sell
- 3:54Speaker 2: would say on an opinion, it's really what the tape shows.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It's unfortunate. Now, how can they help alleviate this tuition.
- 4:00Speaker 2: They're not benching anyone. There's no one to go to.
- 4:02Speaker 2: That's it. Fans are funny, like they want difference in
- 4:04Speaker 2: the CID for a while for what. Okay, so we
- 4:08Speaker 2: know that we know that Brett Toast is not the answer.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Can we all agree on that that it's not going
- 4:12Speaker 2: to work with Brett Toast. Matt Pryor cannot really play
- 4:15Speaker 2: left card. They tried it late in training camp for
- 4:17Speaker 2: pre season. Not real comfort with it. It's a lance
- 4:21Speaker 2: resort thing if they feel like they need to. But
- 4:24Speaker 2: there are other things you can do. You could play,
- 4:26Speaker 2: you could go, you could be much more of a
- 4:27Speaker 2: twelve personnel team. Cam Latt who has been a more
- 4:31Speaker 2: of a fullback than a tight end so far. But
- 4:34Speaker 2: they need to keep them in line as a wide
- 4:37Speaker 2: tight end, that is a in line tight end, not
- 4:40Speaker 2: a fullback. That's your you're you're right next to the
- 4:44Speaker 2: left or right tackle. They need to do that. That's
- 4:47Speaker 2: one way. And get Calcolm tarra Mic out of playing
- 4:50Speaker 2: the Y or the even when he plays the F
- 4:53Speaker 2: get him detached more. He can't block. He just that's
- 4:57Speaker 2: not his thing, no matter how hard he tried.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yeah, they have a big the problems obviously a lot
- 5:01Speaker 1: of things you just pointed out. But is there any
- 5:03Speaker 1: other way that they can help Maybe, you know, use
- 5:06Speaker 1: an extension of the run game a little bit.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know what the other thing is and we've got
- 5:12Speaker 2: asked us today. Let me just address this for a
- 5:14Speaker 2: tutube commenter and you know, I forgot about this. We
- 5:16Speaker 2: forgot to address this, Jeff and I did a self
- 5:19Speaker 2: scout on Monday, but we I'm giving you even more
- 5:21Speaker 2: on today's show, Mike, we didn't talk about the screen game.
- 5:25Speaker 2: When they've done it, it's actually been decent. I don't
- 5:28Speaker 2: know what's happened since Doug Peterson's left, Mike. It's been
- 5:31Speaker 2: sort of like the forgotten part of offense now. I
- 5:34Speaker 2: know we used to joke their terrible screen team. They
- 5:37Speaker 2: weren't last year. They weren't terrible, And the little they've
- 5:40Speaker 2: done it, it's been okay. You could do wide receiver screens.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I don't know why they're not. You could do a
- 5:45Speaker 2: running back screen, obviously, now that Willship is healthy. That's
- 5:50Speaker 2: something that we saw in training camp with him. So
- 5:52Speaker 2: that on your point, the extension of the run game,
- 5:55Speaker 2: that's extension of the past game is the screen game.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And we're not talking about checkdowns, talking about design pass
- 6:02Speaker 2: plays to the running packs. You could do a tight end,
- 6:04Speaker 2: hot tunnel screen to Goddard, which the rams are you
- 6:08Speaker 2: watch Tyler Higbee's phenomenal at it, you could, or the
- 6:12Speaker 2: high screen you could do those. I don't know why
- 6:13Speaker 2: they're not doing that. That's another thing on their cell scalp, which,
- 6:17Speaker 2: by the way, the full cell scalp will come and
- 6:20Speaker 2: we in week nine where they're on there by these
- 6:23Speaker 2: next two games, but the screen game.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Bring it back, yeah, especially because they have some personnel
- 6:29Speaker 1: to do it. You mentioned Shipley. Get him a little
- 6:30Speaker 1: bit more involved. You know, Saquon's not the best pass catcher,
- 6:33Speaker 1: but still get in the ball in some space. Let
- 6:35Speaker 1: him get out into the open field, make people miss,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and find ways to utilize Saquon a little bit more there.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And obviously you know, they've got to find the way
- 6:43Speaker 1: to run the ball a little bit better because that
- 6:46Speaker 1: was really their hallmark last year. That's been their staple,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and it's been their staple really in the Sirianna era
- 6:50Speaker 1: really since week what eight of twenty twenty one. You know,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Jeff McLean asked the question yesterday about changing the play
- 6:57Speaker 1: called He asked that question because that's when they did
- 7:00Speaker 1: change the play caller in twenty twenty one, was at
- 7:03Speaker 1: the Mini by there they had a Thursday night game.
- 7:05Speaker 1: They went from Sirianni to Stikeen.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Well, they weren't fourtant to then though, that's the point.
- 7:10Speaker 2: They did have a winning record.
- 7:12Speaker 1: That is true.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Look, Mike understands something Nick Nick didn't call it. He
- 7:16Speaker 2: was not comfortable and plays okay, that was to his credit.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It was his ideas. I was told. Then I asked,
- 7:22Speaker 2: and I was told it was his idea. I know
- 7:25Speaker 2: Shane Stiken, excuse me, I know John mc gannon had
- 7:29Speaker 2: some He backed him up when when Nick ratified some
- 7:33Speaker 2: of his coaches. Whether it's a good idea or not,
- 7:35Speaker 2: but it was the next idea and it was a
- 7:38Speaker 2: great idea. By the way. Let's face it, Mike, if
- 7:41Speaker 2: Shane Styken did not call the place at twenty two,
- 7:43Speaker 2: they were not winning the Super Bowl. Why do I
- 7:45Speaker 2: feel that way? He understood what they need to do
- 7:48Speaker 2: with Hurts and scale things back and help him, and
- 7:51Speaker 2: let me have this before we moved to defense. Where
- 7:54Speaker 2: are Hurts in the run game? He's down on average
- 7:56Speaker 2: per carry, average carries per game a little bit over
- 7:59Speaker 2: last year. It doesn't look good with him running the football.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I know their line isn't blockwell, but he needs to
- 8:05Speaker 2: become a meaningful part of the running game. Again, that's
- 8:07Speaker 2: that's also Michigan element of the running game.
- 8:10Speaker 1: No doubt about that. His carries are down three street seasons.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Now let's go to the defense, where you know, this
- 8:15Speaker 1: is the defense that was keeping them in games. And
- 8:17Speaker 1: we're really saying, you know, hey, they don't have to
- 8:19Speaker 1: be creative or aggressive on offense because they trust their
- 8:23Speaker 1: defense so much. Well, it seems like they don't trust
- 8:25Speaker 1: their defense just much anymore because they got problems over there.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Well, Mike, obviously there there beat up physically with Jalen
- 8:33Speaker 2: Carter the shoulder injury. I know he's not the injury court,
- 8:36Speaker 2: but it's it's an issue. We got to watch that.
- 8:39Speaker 2: It's a recurring problem going back to Georgia, we're told.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And then you know he's got this mysterious heel injury
- 8:44Speaker 2: which prevented from playing last week. Now what we didn't
- 8:47Speaker 2: know was going to happen. We knew he would play
- 8:49Speaker 2: on defense. But Robinson saw a lot of steps the
- 8:53Speaker 2: defense steps the tab look actually pretty good, explosive physical
- 8:58Speaker 2: hy Robinson, the fourth rounder who was very raw of
- 9:00Speaker 2: coming to training camp and in training camp, let's get
- 9:04Speaker 2: him on the field more. Let let's get him over
- 9:06Speaker 2: Byron Young in some situations when Cardi gets back, that's
- 9:11Speaker 2: one thing I like to see on the front now
- 9:14Speaker 2: with Zadarius Smith's for sudden retirement, which came out of nowhere,
- 9:17Speaker 2: because we're definitely not expecting that. Now, if you noticed
- 9:21Speaker 2: Mike his not only did he not start last week
- 9:24Speaker 2: against the Giants, oj Lari started over him and played
- 9:29Speaker 2: more snaps and definitely more snaps. I don't know if
- 9:31Speaker 2: that had anything to do with it, but they're down
- 9:34Speaker 2: to four edge rushers. Uh, this is Mike. This is
- 9:39Speaker 2: their paper thin at edge and they got problems there.
- 9:42Speaker 2: They're gonna have to figure this out. How they're gonna
- 9:44Speaker 2: get more a pass rushed yep.
- 9:45Speaker 1: A lot of people wondering of Howie Roseman will do
- 9:48Speaker 1: something there. They did bring into Darius Smith. Now he's gone,
- 9:52Speaker 1: does he now have to replace Zadarius Smith? Will keep
- 9:55Speaker 1: an eye on that. Jeff insinuated. Insinuated he came out
- 9:59Speaker 1: and said, maybe Cooper Degene might have to move to
- 10:03Speaker 1: the outside. What could they do for that outside corner
- 10:06Speaker 1: spot in the cornerback position.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Yeah, So we talked about this on our shows of
- 10:12Speaker 2: the summer. We had heard that they're sort of escape
- 10:16Speaker 2: patch on what else to call it? If they had
- 10:19Speaker 2: to put the Gene at corner and then either mcooba
- 10:23Speaker 2: or mac McWilliams at Nicol because I know Dejean's playing
- 10:27Speaker 2: in their base defense. They don't play a lot of
- 10:29Speaker 2: base defense. He's at corner there. But Mike, it is
- 10:34Speaker 2: I gotta be honest with you, and I'd be surprised
- 10:37Speaker 2: if Quintel Mitchell is able to start this week. If
- 10:42Speaker 2: he can play Mike. I joked on Monday that Justin
- 10:45Speaker 2: Jefferson would have one. I'm telling you because.
- 10:51Speaker 1: They've done a good job on him too in the past.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well, guess what, they don't have Darius Slay anymore, so
- 10:59Speaker 2: you would have to zone it all pray that. I
- 11:03Speaker 2: don't know what you could do. I mean, Matt McWilliams,
- 11:05Speaker 2: he's on my list too. What do you have to
- 11:07Speaker 2: lose by getting him snaps. Keeley Ringo, who Fangio could
- 11:11Speaker 2: from day when asked, is not the starter anymore. No note,
- 11:14Speaker 2: I mean, how could you. We talked about this lower
- 11:17Speaker 2: body stiffness, we've showed, We've told to kill it. The
- 11:21Speaker 2: Ringo truthers are now false 's. They finally accepted the
- 11:24Speaker 2: guy who's in the fourth corner, which we pold people
- 11:26Speaker 2: for three years it's a shame. He's a great special
- 11:29Speaker 2: teams player. He was overdrafted by the Eagles. There's nowhere
- 11:33Speaker 2: else they have to go. Mike Otherland, putting the Gina
- 11:36Speaker 2: Corner bigs guy to just accept it. What does he
- 11:39Speaker 2: have to lose by putting full time at corner? Now,
- 11:41Speaker 2: tell how he makes a trade where signs like a
- 11:44Speaker 2: Kendle full or somebody's out there. Look the trade down deadline.
- 11:48Speaker 2: They've got three weeks. Okay, we know how he's going
- 11:50Speaker 2: to be involved. It's not a secret. He's going to
- 11:52Speaker 2: try to acquire help on defense at Dresser Corner. Are
- 11:55Speaker 2: both we'll see. By the way, there are a lot
- 11:57Speaker 2: of teams looking for corners. Andreas's good luck, but he's
- 12:01Speaker 2: got to do it. He's got to do his best.
- 12:02Speaker 2: You know how he's super aggressive. Why is he the
- 12:05Speaker 2: best general manager because he covers up issues with trades
- 12:09Speaker 2: for signings. So he did it in twenty seventeen with JAGII,
- 12:13Speaker 2: which we didn't really know that was going to be
- 12:15Speaker 2: an issue running back, but good for him to do it.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And you got three weeks to figure this out. Mike,
- 12:21Speaker 2: I'm not the thing is I'm not a panicker. Like
- 12:23Speaker 2: fans are. They know it inside their personnel department that
- 12:27Speaker 2: they're gonna have to get aggressive because this they'll never
- 12:30Speaker 2: win a super Bowl with the rosters, is no chance,
- 12:33Speaker 2: will never happen.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Crazy to think you were on top of the world
- 12:36Speaker 1: four and oh spot start and now here we are
- 12:39Speaker 1: talking about how to fix some of the things. What
- 12:41Speaker 1: about special teams? This new kickoff has been a big
- 12:45Speaker 1: time factor for teams. You got kickoffs that have been mishandled, fumbled, botched,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and of course what's going on with the special teams?
- 12:55Speaker 1: How can they fix that?
- 12:56Speaker 2: All right? Well, thank goodness for the Eagles have got
- 12:59Speaker 2: a great punter kicker. Both should be in the running
- 13:01Speaker 2: for Pro Ball consideration. They better be or all pro.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But what I don't understand is you know is on
- 13:10Speaker 2: punt return specifically, Britain Covey's here to They brought him
- 13:15Speaker 2: back to be a punt returner. Potentially. Johan Dodson is
- 13:19Speaker 2: average at best as a punt retorney, also fair catches
- 13:22Speaker 2: a lot. Britain Covey, for being a little guy, is
- 13:24Speaker 2: super aggressive. What do they have to lose? This is
- 13:27Speaker 2: another thing? What are they waiting for? He's healthy, he
- 13:31Speaker 2: got cleared off the net problem that it took him
- 13:32Speaker 2: a while to get cleared, but he's cleared. I don't
- 13:35Speaker 2: get that. Now. For the people I ask about Britain
- 13:38Speaker 2: Covey on kickoff returns, just understand, let me kind of
- 13:40Speaker 2: explain us to explain to me. So once we went
- 13:43Speaker 2: to this dual returners, the team see the duer turners
- 13:46Speaker 2: as almost running backs by the way that the ball
- 13:49Speaker 2: is received on kickoffs. They want bigger, physical running backs.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Most of them are not punt returners. It's not completely
- 14:00Speaker 2: out of the question that Cobb could do it, but
- 14:02Speaker 2: you really don't want to do it because he's like
- 14:04Speaker 2: we call him the human ping pinball machine. He's just
- 14:08Speaker 2: you really, you really want to returning punts, not kick
- 14:11Speaker 2: So they've got to you, right, Mike. They've got to
- 14:13Speaker 2: fix this thing. This is a this is awful. It's
- 14:16Speaker 2: a shame because the special teams in the league the
- 14:18Speaker 2: punter kicker, but the returns are terrible. And Tank Bigsby, look,
- 14:23Speaker 2: it's been a struggle, boss since he's been here. And
- 14:26Speaker 2: you know, they corrected that bad issue, at least seemingly
- 14:28Speaker 2: that with teams squibbing it to them that they're a
- 14:31Speaker 2: little better. But it's bad, man. I Mean, it's just
- 14:34Speaker 2: it looked like their spretch teams would be great this season,
- 14:36Speaker 2: but nope. So, Mike, if you set up why they're not,
- 14:39Speaker 2: they're foreign two in today's NFL is bad because, quite frankly, Mike,
- 14:44Speaker 2: the league is very mediocre this year. So the Eagles
- 14:46Speaker 2: are gonna be a playoff team. But to make a
- 14:49Speaker 2: deep playoff run, they're gonna have to They're gonna have
- 14:52Speaker 2: to have roster adjustments. Coaches got to be better execution,
- 14:56Speaker 2: the players have to play better. They got a long
- 14:58Speaker 2: one here. I'm not not trying to like criticize the team.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'm telling you the truth. This is what This is
- 15:03Speaker 2: what NFL people think. This is what the people we
- 15:05Speaker 2: speak to think. Rereco Cell thinks. Listen to Derek Gun
- 15:10Speaker 2: and Ray Diddrew do our new show this year, Eagles Weekly,
- 15:14Speaker 2: that we love so yeah, I mean, we break it
- 15:17Speaker 2: down for you. We've given you all the answers to
- 15:18Speaker 2: the test. Now it's up to the club to get
- 15:20Speaker 2: the stuff cleaned up.
- 15:21Speaker 1: What are some of the things the front office can
- 15:23Speaker 1: do in the self scarting scouting department during this week.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I mean, other than what I mentioned Mike about receiver
- 15:30Speaker 2: and edge. I don't know. I mentioned this on our
- 15:34Speaker 2: show Money. I don't understand this. So the Egles historically
- 15:37Speaker 2: under Harry Roseman are bottom ten workout players in free
- 15:42Speaker 2: in in season. I don't know why they don't work
- 15:46Speaker 2: out Like Bill Belichick, I used to chart the stuff.
- 15:48Speaker 2: They can have the best team in the NFL. He
- 15:50Speaker 2: didn't care. He worked out every position, even long staffer.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Because God forbid, something happens and you haven't worked players
- 15:56Speaker 2: out on your emergency list. Like every club has a
- 16:00Speaker 2: archie list, but you like to have worked them out
- 16:02Speaker 2: so you know what they look like, what kind of
- 16:03Speaker 2: shape they're in. By the way, when when you bring
- 16:06Speaker 2: a player in for a tryout, you they get a physical.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And also when you just come in for a visit,
- 16:11Speaker 2: they gotta they get a fit. They can get a physical.
- 16:13Speaker 2: So I don't know why that they're not working players out.
- 16:16Speaker 2: That's got to be on how he's to do list.
- 16:19Speaker 2: They worked out Jake Drake Jackson, the former checker out
- 16:22Speaker 2: their thrusher from the Niners. I believes in the South Washington.
- 16:25Speaker 2: But they got to do that, Mike, that that's got
- 16:28Speaker 2: to be on house to do list. That to me
- 16:30Speaker 2: is a something I just don't understand why I don't
- 16:32Speaker 2: do more of that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Well, last night, the Commander is lost. So the Eagles
- 16:37Speaker 1: do stay in first place in the division. Because now,
- 16:39Speaker 1: of course, the speculation is there hasn't been a back
- 16:41Speaker 1: to back n SC East winner, and it's starting to
- 16:44Speaker 1: feel like there's a reason why these teams have a
- 16:47Speaker 1: hard time balancing back the very next year. But the
- 16:50Speaker 1: Eagles at four and two are in first place in
- 16:53Speaker 1: the NFC East, and of course we have them covered
- 16:55Speaker 1: right here, getting ready, probably Carson Wentz, you think they're
- 16:58Speaker 1: at them.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I think there's a realistic chance. Yes, Blake Cashman is
- 17:03Speaker 2: going to play. I believe the middle linebacker had been hurt.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Is really good Wentz that greg O sel said the
- 17:08Speaker 2: take was phenomenal Cars against Cleveland, now against Pittsburgh. I
- 17:12Speaker 2: talked to Steelers about that game. They thought Wentz though
- 17:16Speaker 2: he played relatively while I brought the team back, forced
- 17:19Speaker 2: a couple throws as Tomming wasn't great in that game,
- 17:21Speaker 2: but they also had a number of droughts. But he
- 17:23Speaker 2: was phenomenal against that really good Browns defense. It's funny
- 17:26Speaker 2: the last time when he when he was with watched
- 17:28Speaker 2: and he was terrible against the Eagles. But Mike, he
- 17:31Speaker 2: looks really healthy. Onz does, so we'll see what happened.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Well, all right, well, keep your eye on Wentz JJ McCarthy,
- 17:37Speaker 1: who's the starter there. You can listen to that game
- 17:39Speaker 1: right here on ninety seven three ESPN. That's today's Football
- 17:42Speaker 1: at four. Heats Adam Kaplan from the Inside of the
- 17:44Speaker 1: Birds podcast Inside the Birds dot Com, which you can
