- 0:00Speaker 1: This tough stories on the Dance with Billy the Kid
- 0:02Speaker 1: in the Morning.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Only on the new Mixed one or two point nine.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Your Mike Son, he's snacking in the background. Oh my god,
- 0:08Speaker 2: he was always snacking. Mike's not He's eating some Either way,
- 0:11Speaker 2: it's makes one or two point nine, Candice Slopez everything
- 0:14Speaker 2: you need to know, what.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You got well.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Today marks the thirtyeth the anniversary of the abduction of
- 0:18Speaker 3: Amber Hagerman. She was nine years old at the time
- 0:20Speaker 3: in nineteen ninety six. If you remember this heartbreaking story.
- 0:24Speaker 3: But this of course inspired DFW area broadcasters to team
- 0:28Speaker 3: up with local police to set up alert via the
- 0:30Speaker 3: Emergency Alert system that would of course lead to the
- 0:33Speaker 3: Amber Alert.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Being signed into law in two thousand and three.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That case was never solved, but hard to believe that's
- 0:39Speaker 3: been thirty years today. But what an impact, you know,
- 0:43Speaker 3: her short life had on, you know, creating the Amber Alert,
- 0:46Speaker 3: which you can hear you know here and there sometimes unfortunately,
- 0:50Speaker 3: but it does lead to a lot.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Of cases being solved and children being found.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And sometimes I wanted to note that you got to
- 0:56Speaker 2: remember that because I think people get so caught up
- 0:59Speaker 2: in their world when it happens, You're like, oh my god,
- 1:01Speaker 2: an Amberlert turn it off.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yep, yeah, you know what I mean. Oh, it's very important.
- 1:05Speaker 2: They think about the reason why we have it, right,
- 1:09Speaker 2: take a deep breath and realize that, you know, you
- 1:12Speaker 2: could actually help a missing child or someone who's in danger. Yeah,
- 1:16Speaker 2: actually read it because it's when you least expected that
- 1:20Speaker 2: you could. You know, the car is going to drive
- 1:21Speaker 2: by you with the suspect.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Totally.
- 1:23Speaker 1: You just never know the small world.
- 1:25Speaker 4: So yeah, thirty years though, guys.
- 1:28Speaker 3: News coming in from retail side of things, multiple new
- 1:32Speaker 3: Target stores that could be coming to DFW soon. Target
- 1:35Speaker 3: says they plan to open hundreds of stores over the
- 1:38Speaker 3: next decade and says five will be in Texas.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Locally.
- 1:42Speaker 3: New Target stores are planned for Dallas on Winwood, Village
- 1:45Speaker 3: one in forty four Worth.
- 1:46Speaker 4: And Little Elm.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:47Speaker 4: Aldi also just.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Made an announcement they're opening more than one hundred and
- 1:51Speaker 3: eighty News stores in the US by the end of
- 1:54Speaker 3: this year.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Why do you sigh over that?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Just Aldi?
- 1:57Speaker 4: People love Aldi? Who everybody?
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't go to all because I gotta pay for
- 2:01Speaker 2: a shopping cart and it makes me I rate.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I don't have a quarter. Who has a quarter?
- 2:06Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I haven't had a quarter.
- 2:08Speaker 1: In a long time at a court.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And then our friend Junior, who does traffic, he keeps
- 2:12Speaker 2: a quarter in his car for his aldi cart.
- 2:15Speaker 1: He's like, this is my all the quarter. I'm like, JR.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Stop it. Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It is awkward when you go in there and they
- 2:21Speaker 3: just pull the cart right up there and just start
- 2:23Speaker 3: loading everything just you know, just right back into the car.
- 2:26Speaker 3: There's no bags or anything. You have to bring your
- 2:27Speaker 3: own bags or whatever. But hey, this model is working.
- 2:30Speaker 3: If they're going to open a ton of news stores.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I know people that are like all the fans like
- 2:34Speaker 3: it's low key, like you know, Trader Joe's cold vibes.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Gosh, you in your grocery stores. I swear if you
- 2:40Speaker 2: were if you were in a gang, if they were gangs,
- 2:42Speaker 2: which gang would you join right now? You had to
- 2:44Speaker 2: get jumped into UK pick one.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Sometimes I'm in the Whole Foods gang, someger Central Market,
- 2:52Speaker 3: Trader Joe's.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What about that.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I love ATV It's just not on my way home.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It's unfortunate, guys.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Will be soon in Dallas.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Just a heads up, guys, who is the highest grossing
- 3:05Speaker 3: actor of all time?
- 3:06Speaker 4: Did you guys think about it? Zoe Seldonya.
- 3:11Speaker 1: No way. Yes.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Thanks to Avatar, Fire and Ash, her movies have now
- 3:15Speaker 3: earned her sixteen point eight billion dollars at the box
- 3:18Speaker 3: office throughout her career. So it's actually Zoe. Scarlett was
- 3:22Speaker 3: number two, number three of Samuel L. Jackson, Wow, for
- 3:26Speaker 3: Robert Downey Junior, and the top five rounded.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Out as Chris Pratt.
- 3:30Speaker 1: What Where's Tom Cruise? Yeah?
- 3:32Speaker 3: Tom Cruise was on the list at number six, number six, Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 3: which is pretty crazy because also all of those are
- 3:38Speaker 3: all Marvel stars.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that makes sense.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But I was thinking about, like, what about you know,
- 3:42Speaker 2: all the big people, like even Will Smith. I thought, Will,
- 3:45Speaker 2: He's been in so many movies over the time.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he has, But I don't know, maybe they just
- 3:49Speaker 3: weren't having the payouts that they're having now.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I don't know, but I was shocked to read that.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Avatar was such a big movie globally. Line,
- 3:57Speaker 2: I have no idea what it's about. Yes, Sam number one,
- 4:00Speaker 2: you've never seen any either?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Vill Yeah? What yes? Yes, like three hours that's one movie.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Candace and I have both not seen.
- 4:08Speaker 4: No, I probably never will honestly watch it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: It's a good movie.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Really, yeah, yes, his kid for about Aliens, Yeah, it's
- 4:16Speaker 2: about I thought it was too sexual for kids.
- 4:19Speaker 5: No, no, no, none of that going on at all.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Dude, you watch some shaky stuff. I don't know you're
- 4:23Speaker 1: watching all of that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Do I trust his PG?
- 4:27Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 4:27Speaker 4: I know, probably not.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Congrats to her though, I'm Candaslopez. Those are your Texas
- 4:32Speaker 3: Top stories before Candace Court.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Min name is Billy the Kid. Knda Lopez is here.
- 4:40Speaker 2: She's in her robe, she's got her gavel, and she's
- 4:42Speaker 2: ready for business. Who are you ready?
- 4:44Speaker 1: I am ready?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Okay, And if you got a problem at Candas on
- 4:46Speaker 2: Air on Instagram, she can help you.
- 4:48Speaker 1: At Candace on Air. I read this one.
- 4:50Speaker 2: It says, Hey, Candace Court, my husband is mad at
- 4:52Speaker 2: me and I need your help. I think he's blowing
- 4:55Speaker 2: this way out of proportion. But y'all let me know.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I go to the gym religious it's my thing. I
- 5:01Speaker 2: recently went from mostly cardio to lifting weights, and I
- 5:04Speaker 2: started to notice how uncomfortable it is for me to
- 5:06Speaker 2: wear my wedding ring while I work out.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Okay, uh huh.
- 5:11Speaker 2: At first, I started taking my ring off when I
- 5:13Speaker 2: go to the gym, but honestly, that was a hassle,
- 5:16Speaker 2: so I decided to just leave it at home when
- 5:18Speaker 2: I go. My husband never really pays attention, so I
- 5:20Speaker 2: didn't think it was a big deal. Then the other
- 5:22Speaker 2: day he noticed and asked me if I was trying
- 5:24Speaker 2: to act single at the gym or what.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Oh.
- 5:27Speaker 2: At first I kind of thought he was joking, but
- 5:29Speaker 2: now it seems like he's halfway serious. I told him
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm not going anywhere. This is ridiculous, But it seems
- 5:35Speaker 2: like he's starting to feel jealous because there are a
- 5:37Speaker 2: lot of guys at the gym when I work out.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I feel like this is such a small thing and
- 5:42Speaker 2: he's making it into something it's not. Am I wrong
- 5:45Speaker 2: for leaving my ring at home? Or is he just
- 5:48Speaker 2: being insecure? Okay, all right, Candice. You know, as a
- 5:52Speaker 2: married woman, I think you would have a good insight
- 5:55Speaker 2: on this, and you are the judge.
- 5:57Speaker 1: What are your thoughts when you hear this?
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I could see where he would be
- 6:01Speaker 3: concerned about this.
- 6:03Speaker 4: You know, it's uncomfortable.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I get that, but at the same time, like you
- 6:07Speaker 3: are in a gym with other potential, you know, people
- 6:11Speaker 3: that might have interest in you, and that's like the
- 6:13Speaker 3: first thing people look at, right. So many people meet
- 6:16Speaker 3: each other at the gym.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Oh, I agree with you.
- 6:18Speaker 4: So it's kind of makes me uncomfortable to hear that
- 6:21Speaker 4: she's not wearing her ring.
- 6:24Speaker 1: But I have.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Lifted weights with mine on as well, and you will
- 6:26Speaker 3: get a blister right there, You absolutely will.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Well, you know what, you just got to build up
- 6:30Speaker 2: some callouses on the stage and since you got to
- 6:32Speaker 2: build up that toughness. Yeah, I mean the gyms to me,
- 6:36Speaker 2: in today's world, especially certain gyms, it's a feeding ground
- 6:42Speaker 2: for people trying to meet each other.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Like okay, cowboys fit yep. For example, woois.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I've seen that gym.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I've never been in though, oh oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 4: A revolving door of singles.
- 6:56Speaker 1: That's what I know.
- 6:57Speaker 2: People who have been to that gym who are heating
- 7:00Speaker 2: on each other. And I'm not saying it's only that gym.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a great gym.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I call it the Desperate Housewives gym. Really, oh yeah,
- 7:09Speaker 2: their wives are I'm telling you, sir, gyms are pretty
- 7:13Speaker 2: much like I mean, they're pretty much like bars.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Yeah they can be.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they really are. I think more people meet each
- 7:20Speaker 2: other at gyms than bars. That's just my opinion.
- 7:23Speaker 4: No, it's very possible.
- 7:24Speaker 1: What do I know.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I will say this, I'm not the I have my
- 7:28Speaker 2: moments of insecurity.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So what was that you said?
- 7:34Speaker 2: Your moments? Oh I do? Oh you're saying I'm insecure?
- 7:38Speaker 2: You know you are, okay place to let me on
- 7:40Speaker 2: for poo. So we're gonna cry together and hold each other.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, no I do.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I admit it. That's what I'm saying. I would not
- 7:48Speaker 2: like it. I would not love the idea. Can't you
- 7:50Speaker 2: get one of them rubber rings or something?
- 7:52Speaker 4: Well, yeah, that's what I was also thinking. They're like
- 7:54Speaker 4: super cheap on Amazon.
- 7:56Speaker 3: You could get one here by the time you go
- 7:58Speaker 3: to the gym today, probably if you place your order now.
- 8:01Speaker 3: But it's also too like when your partner expresses like
- 8:03Speaker 3: concern over something like that, you're either gonna just toss
- 8:06Speaker 3: it aside or you're actually gonna, you know, listen to
- 8:09Speaker 3: it and see where he's coming from.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I agree, you would not want to upset your partner.
- 8:13Speaker 4: If that's a big deal to.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Him, I would think I would take it seriously. Now,
- 8:16Speaker 2: the other side of the argument is if someone and
- 8:19Speaker 2: this is what I it comes down to to me,
- 8:21Speaker 2: if someone's gonna cheat, they're gonna cheat. It doesn't matter
- 8:24Speaker 2: about the ring. You know, it doesn't matter. Now, I
- 8:26Speaker 2: will say, though, why get married and wear a ring
- 8:28Speaker 2: if you're not gonna wear the ring? Right, you know,
- 8:30Speaker 2: what's the point of it. Like there's some people I
- 8:32Speaker 2: know they just never wear the ring.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean Eric hasn't been wearing his for the
- 8:36Speaker 3: first time for a little while because he I think
- 8:38Speaker 3: he's like injured his hand because he's doing you know,
- 8:42Speaker 3: a bunch.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Of rebuilding reconstruction. Well, it won't go over his knuckle
- 8:45Speaker 4: right now.
- 8:47Speaker 1: So he hasn't knuckle. Excuse no.
- 8:51Speaker 4: You can literally look and be like, ooh, it's weird.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Every time he goes right now.
- 8:55Speaker 4: It's time the inflammation goes down.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Every time my husband goes out of town on a
- 8:59Speaker 2: business trip, his knuckles swell.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my gosh, I know Eric is never gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: do anything.
- 9:05Speaker 4: She doesn't bother me.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I don't like it, but I'm not like when you
- 9:10Speaker 3: say that insecure about it when.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You say that coming from your relationship, and I know,
- 9:14Speaker 2: like you two so well, then that makes sense because
- 9:17Speaker 2: you two are like so perfect together, and it makes
- 9:19Speaker 2: sense that I know you two would never do anything stupid. Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 2: but you would also never talk to each other like this, right,
- 9:25Speaker 2: Meaning if he wasn't wearing his ring and it bothered
- 9:28Speaker 2: you and you brought it up, he would take it seriously, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: and he'd be like, oh, I'm sorry it bothers you
- 9:32Speaker 2: because he's a perfect guy and you're the perfect woman
- 9:35Speaker 2: and worst single over here, and everybody sucks over here.
- 9:38Speaker 4: None of us are perfect.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember girls, Tripp did I don't wear
- 9:41Speaker 2: my wedding. I don't think I was married long enough.
- 9:45Speaker 2: War Yeah I did. I did when I was married.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I wore a gym.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah I didn't go to the gym. Yeah, yeah, I
- 9:51Speaker 2: wore playing basketball.
- 9:52Speaker 4: It's easy to play basketball when you're lifting weights. That's
- 9:55Speaker 4: like the worst spot.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, who you think she's in the wrong. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 2: I think she's in the wrong.
- 10:01Speaker 4: For real.
- 10:02Speaker 5: She she needs to wear the ring at all times. Listen,
- 10:05Speaker 5: when you go to gyms. The perfect way to hit
- 10:07Speaker 5: on a girl is like, hey, you need a spot?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Oh getting spotty?
- 10:12Speaker 4: I would never let a random spot.
- 10:15Speaker 1: If the dude you can't, but somebody. If the dude
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna call b S something no. I cannot picture.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Dude is all buff and he's like, hey, you need
- 10:25Speaker 1: So you would go off to a girl and be
- 10:27Speaker 1: like do you need a spot?
- 10:29Speaker 5: Not me, because I know I don't look like But
- 10:31Speaker 5: if I was a so soldier and all boy, hey
- 10:34Speaker 5: you want me to spot you?
- 10:36Speaker 2: And if girls see that they're really lifting that much
- 10:39Speaker 2: weight where they need to get what are you?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Who are you dating hercules? Working on them squats?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Okay, light, we'll give you a blister if you got
- 10:46Speaker 4: a ring there?
- 10:47Speaker 1: You know what I want to know.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I want to know how many people are not wearing
- 10:49Speaker 2: their wedding ring right now? And why are you not
- 10:53Speaker 2: wearing it? Eight three three seven eight seven one two nine.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I want to know what's going on and don't.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Bother me though when I do see like friends of
- 11:01Speaker 3: mine that I know are married and they don't have
- 11:03Speaker 3: the ring on. Yeah, they forgot it that day, I'm
- 11:05Speaker 3: not going to call him out.
- 11:06Speaker 2: He takes it off every time he goes to the bar.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It's so weird, he says. It's just he's allergic to us.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Something in that particular bar. It makes an itch. He's
- 11:15Speaker 2: allergic to monogamy. Okay, Cannie, you're the judge. Doesn't matter
- 11:20Speaker 2: what we think. What do you think?
- 11:22Speaker 3: I mean, they're both a little guilty here, but I'm
- 11:23Speaker 3: going to go with this guy is guilty of being
- 11:25Speaker 3: a jelly Josh.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Oh what, he should buy.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Her a rubber ring right now and use it to her.
- 11:32Speaker 4: You know, don't tell her you're trying to act single.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I thought you were actually going to side with him
- 11:36Speaker 2: for once.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Well, I give where he's coming from, but he can
- 11:40Speaker 3: solve this problem right now and get her a gym
- 11:42Speaker 3: appropriate ring that she could wear while she's at the gym.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Guilty of being a jelly roll.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Job jelly Josh.
- 11:48Speaker 2: All right, fine, it doesn't matter where you respect that decision. Yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 2: with her, go to the gym with her. Yeah, maybe
- 11:55Speaker 2: she doesn't want that.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Well then you'll know
