- 0:01I've got good news, bad news. Oh, OK.
- 0:05New sandwich. So I don't, well, I don't know
- 0:08what people are going to think it's the good news.
- 0:10What people are going to think it's the bad news.
- 0:11Oh, that's tough. Yeah, it's OK, Israel and Oh no,
- 0:15sorry, it's just. Welcome to Multiple Nerdgasm
- 0:22with your hosts Matt, Luke and Dan.
- 0:26Multiple Nerdgasm your guide do all things nerdy.
- 0:38Next week I won't be on the show.
- 0:39Oh. OK.
- 0:41All right, all right. What's?
- 0:42That I'm in hospital that way, Well, I don't know.
- 0:46I'm hoping that's the bad news. The week after I will be on the
- 0:49show. Then after that, it's going to
- 0:50be hit and miss for a little while.
- 0:52Yeah, the show's gonna be hit and miss, or your appearances
- 0:55are gonna. Be hit oh the show.
- 0:56Is always hit or or you'll be on the show but how how sober you
- 1:01are will be hit and miss. I should be able to report.
- 1:03It'll be like a harem of Thai women rides.
- 1:06Yeah. That's it.
- 1:08Well, now I'm starting to get nervous about my trip now.
- 1:10Well, have you heard that Thailand and Cambodia are
- 1:13bobbing each other? Oh, did what?
- 1:16Yes. Why?
- 1:19Yeah, you have no idea. You know, we don't need to go
- 1:21into that kind of thing here. I suppose there must be some,
- 1:23no? No, no, we do.
- 1:24We do. That's adorable.
- 1:27They're bombing each other and I'm going to be travelling
- 1:29through there to. Listeners who are not watching
- 1:33and only listening. Dan's referring, I think, to
- 1:35Luke's kind. Of a little man.
- 1:37His his little drink koozie not to whatever war may be going on
- 1:42between. I was, yeah.
- 1:46Yeah. To be clear, I.
- 1:46Wasn't That's adorable. There's a war between their
- 1:51adorable little war. My S Sydney, remember.
- 1:57He's got a little Rabbitohs jersey on his can of something.
- 2:00I was, I was at my leagues club today, Luke, just having some
- 2:05lunch. That's the one.
- 2:06I crossed the road from you, isn't it?
- 2:07Yeah, it's very. Yeah.
- 2:09And I'm he. Was watching, I go to the I go
- 2:11to the gym there, I get my haircut there.
- 2:13It's it's my club, right? But I watched a bit of football
- 2:19just because it was on and I'm, you know, and I'm in the leagues
- 2:21club, done. Well, men or women's?
- 2:27It was men or both they were. They were cutting back between.
- 2:30Them. Yeah, these days.
- 2:31Men versus women, you couldn't tell.
- 2:33Well, actually the the point that I wanted to raise was the
- 2:36men all have fucking long hair now.
- 2:39They've got the mullets, they've got the fucking shaved at the
- 2:42sides and they're just long. Yeah, that's bad.
- 2:44It's. So distracting and I think that
- 2:48if you have long hair, you should be able to get grabbed by
- 2:52that fucking hair like there's. Actually, there's actually a
- 2:55rule in American football that if your hair is longer than your
- 2:59shoulders, it's fair game. Like you're running that risk of
- 3:03that being put up because, yeah, because you're actually, you're
- 3:06actually not allowing them to grab you by the jersey.
- 3:08By the neck, yeah. Oh, by the.
- 3:11Jersey. I see.
- 3:12Yeah, you're sort of not sure what.
- 3:13You're allowed to grab and what you're not allowed to grab.
- 3:15But yeah, you're taking away your tackling option if you
- 3:17can't sort of pull them back because you've got their hair in
- 3:19the way. So NFL's gone.
- 3:22If their hair's there, yeah, it's their fault.
- 3:24My my coach Hoppawadi told me anything.
- 3:27'S yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 3:29Inside or above? Yeah, he was like, work harder,
- 3:33Matt. You've got to pull your finger
- 3:34out. Put your finger in, put your
- 3:37finger in, put your finger in. Any Australians are not going to
- 3:42know what the fuck they're talking about.
- 3:43No, it was a NRL player, Yes, got a.
- 3:47Long time ago. Yes, he had a move he would do
- 3:51when he was tackling people to kind of psych him out.
- 3:54Yeah, inside and out, I mean. It worked for a while until
- 3:57enough of them went can he stop fingering us?
- 4:00Can. We please make it so that you're
- 4:02not allowed to do that. Yeah.
- 4:04What are the rules around? Fingering.
- 4:06Terrifying. I am starting to watch more of
- 4:09the women's football and I'm enjoying it.
- 4:11I just don't. Have an alien to do that.
- 4:13OK, so the women's, the, it's, it's called the NRLW, right?
- 4:17Yes. And it's, it's, they often
- 4:20replay them first thing in the mornings where when I'm in the
- 4:23gym and I must say I enjoy watching it more than men's
- 4:26football. And not just for the reasons you
- 4:27might, you might think. No, I mean.
- 4:30Like that doesn't hurt, but. Yeah, I mean, you know.
- 4:33Yeah, there's a few of them. I'm like, Yep.
- 4:36Yeah. Let's not let this devolve.
- 4:40But there's one thing that they need to work on in that game,
- 4:43and there's a kicking game and what it's all.
- 4:46And parking and. No, The reason why they're a
- 4:52little bit behind, well, you look at the men's, they've had
- 4:55coaches and everything at this level for many, many years.
- 4:58They've only had this. So they haven't been brought up
- 5:01with all this coaching, all this education for to this level.
- 5:04So it's going to take a while for that to happen.
- 5:07It's like people talk about there's the, there's actually I
- 5:09think ATV series now at the F1 Academy, the women's Formula
- 5:12One. And then people often, you know,
- 5:14joke about how the women, women can't drive, you know, blah,
- 5:18blah, blah. But it's like, well they
- 5:19literally have not had the the means to do any of this from.
- 5:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anywhere near as long, Yeah, So.
- 5:28Yeah, they're not going to come out the the greatest day one,
- 5:31but you need to let that build, let them skills and have that
- 5:35pathway to it and you'll see a huge difference.
- 5:37From Glira to the cuts yesterday, she loved it, so
- 5:40maybe I. Saw that Maybe, yeah.
- 5:41Future F1. Future in F1.
- 5:44Did you get to drive the little cars as well, Matt, or did you
- 5:47have to just watch her do it and wish that?
- 5:49You were also doing it. So this place, this place that
- 5:51we went to, there's 4 tracks there, right?
- 5:56You, you put credits on your little card and you can go and
- 5:58you can go on different ones. And so there's like the kids one
- 6:00where I was, I was amazed actually that there's one that
- 6:04Illyria can just drive the fucking go Kart herself.
- 6:06Operate. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:08I was shocked. Yeah.
- 6:10She's 4 listeners. In case you you're not familiar
- 6:13with with the show yet. You will be You'll be back.
- 6:18Yeah. So the the one that she gets to
- 6:20drive, it's little it and then I don't know if they send you guys
- 6:22a video. It's not very fast.
- 6:25Yeah, OK, so it's not super fast, but, and, and she has to,
- 6:27it's basically the brakes are always on and she pushes the
- 6:29pedal to go and that's, and then lifts to to break.
- 6:32It's very simple. And I mean, she just picked it
- 6:36up immediately and was going around in circles.
- 6:39And then there's ones for various levels up from there.
- 6:41And then there was the the big one, like the the grown-ups one,
- 6:45they have go karts that are two seaters and she could come in
- 6:49with me. So we did that and then Jenna
- 6:51took her on as well. So yes, I did get to as well
- 6:53because. Yeah, OK.
- 6:54Kids at that age have understanding, have a hard on
- 6:57top, understanding the steering wheel like it's not just turn.
- 7:01I don't know how she knows how to.
- 7:02Do it to know how to turn it back to go straight.
- 7:05Yeah, because a lot of kids think turning the wheel makes
- 7:07the car go. Sure, that's just what she
- 7:10seemed to think. She there there was the the
- 7:13first time she went by herself. Other times it was kind of like
- 7:16whatever kids want to go go. And then there was one time she
- 7:20raced this other girl and then there was one time lady, she
- 7:22raced these two boys and she was like what up the fucking ass of
- 7:25this guy in front of her and started hitting the wheel like
- 7:27trying to hit the horn at him. And then she told me that she
- 7:30gets the horn. Didn't work.
- 7:32Where did she get that driving skill from you or?
- 7:35You no idea. No idea.
- 7:38I couldn't tell you. Yeah, she was really good at it.
- 7:41So. That's great, yeah.
- 7:43Because I remember having my niece on my lap driving a dune
- 7:47buggy once, right? My nephew picked it up pretty
- 7:52quickly. My niece, though, didn't
- 7:54understand that just by stopping turning doesn't mean that you're
- 7:59now going straight. You need to turn it back.
- 8:01So we're nearly running quite a few things.
- 8:03I'm not touching the wheel anymore.
- 8:04Yeah, I mean, I've not, I've not let my daughter drive and dune
- 8:07buggy, but it was like that when I first introduced her to Mario
- 8:12Kart that she just thought you had to do this to Oh yeah, to
- 8:16make it go. But she's she figured.
- 8:18It out she would have been 5 or 6 and she would have been like 8
- 8:23or something but and to be. Clear.
- 8:24She's like 20 now, isn't she? Yes, she's like manager of Five
- 8:29Guys. Right.
- 8:32Wow, that's a lot of guys. Like they actually fly her out
- 8:35to different locations to set the store up.
- 8:38Wow. Yeah, right.
- 8:38There you go. Yeah.
- 8:40Get fireflies in Australia now, I take it?
- 8:43Way more than five man there's. 2 here on this show.
- 8:48I left and they filled my position.
- 8:53We were at the arcade the other day and and I was going to Bryce
- 8:56Harper and Mario Kart. It's it's like a kids arcade,
- 8:59right? They've got the the karts with
- 9:01the steering wheels and we were setting it up and then this boy
- 9:05came along and he was like, well, what an I have a gun.
- 9:08Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:08OK. I'm not going to, I'm not going
- 9:10to sit here using it while my kids waiting, right.
- 9:11So I gave him my go. But then he's like leaning
- 9:14across trying to help her, trying to set stuff up for her,
- 9:17and she's saying no, no, I got it, I got it.
- 9:18It's fine. It's fine, It's fine.
- 9:22And then she fucking kicked his ass and I just stood there.
- 9:24Smiling, watching her. Come first in the race and he
- 9:27ended up finished 7th and I was like yeah see right.
- 9:31Or you try to mansplain how to play this.
- 9:34I've already done it. Yeah, that's right.
- 9:36Yes. Yeah, that's been covered.
- 9:42Actually, Hubbard doesn't want it.
- 9:44She does not want to hear me explain how things are meant to
- 9:46be done if. Even I think.
- 9:48I know a way she's like, just shut up.
- 9:50I'm happy doing it this way. Don't.
- 9:52Want to hear it? Yeah, that's right.
- 9:54Yeah. What should we talk about this
- 9:58week? There's been some news this week
- 10:00or last few weeks. There's a bit, there's a bit,
- 10:04you guys. Well, the big news over here at
- 10:05the moment, if I may, yeah. Do you guys see the South Park
- 10:09stuff? I've seen the episode, it's
- 10:11already aired over here. Yeah, yeah.
- 10:14You know, it's aired here, too. Yeah, They went pretty hard.
- 10:18And they? Did and I guess they're pretty
- 10:19untouchable now because didn't they just get paid like a
- 10:22billion and a bit dollars one? Point $5 billion and that's what
- 10:26everybody's like. Like what the fuck is Paramount
- 10:29thinking now? They will just sign this deal
- 10:31and then this comes out and then.
- 10:33Yeah, I mean, they must know like and that's not the budget
- 10:37for the show, that's the license to send Green the show.
- 10:41They get paid that no matter what, no matter if it's screens
- 10:43or not. That's.
- 10:45Cashed I saw the they said, I think in the Comic Con panel.
- 10:49They just did a Comic Con panel. I think they said that Paramount
- 10:52told them right. OK, so if you haven't seen the
- 10:55episode, I, I don't even know how how to explain it, but it
- 10:58mainly focuses on how on Donald Trump's small penis and about
- 11:02how he has a small penis. And then apparently Paramount
- 11:06said to them, OK, but we're going to censor the penis.
- 11:08And they're like, no, you're fucking not.
- 11:11You will not censor the penis. Is it censored here?
- 11:14Is it yes, because I've. Seen it?
- 11:16Seen it and it is censored but that may just be our TV station
- 11:22doing it. So I've seen.
- 11:23On Paramount I've seen it on free to air.
- 11:28Do you see that AI generated thing they did that you must
- 11:30have? It's in the episode.
- 11:32Yep, the thing about it is, it's not just.
- 11:34That's all I've seen. It's not a middle finger finger
- 11:37to Trump only. It's also middle finger to
- 11:39Paramount. Because like a lot of the stuff
- 11:43that they're saying in the episode, they're talking about
- 11:45how, Oh, Donald Trump's suing us, but I've got it down to 3.5
- 11:50and now we have to just be pro Trump.
- 11:52Paramount had that same thing happen to them without being
- 11:54super Trump for $20 million. They agreed to less, but they
- 11:57also had to give air for pro Trump stuff.
- 12:00Like they also had to go with Paramount as well.
- 12:03That's the thing, if you if you buy South Park, you are just as
- 12:08likely to get lampooned by them as not.
- 12:12And the other thing, I don't think it's Donald Trump.
- 12:17What do you mean? I think Saddam Hussein is back.
- 12:19Oh. Oh, Oh, sure, sure, sure.
- 12:21Yeah, because I've seen the clips where it's like hair guy.
- 12:24Right. Yeah, It's the same voice, same
- 12:26sort of thing. And he's in bed with Satan
- 12:28again. So I think it's Saddam Hussein
- 12:31pretending to be Donald Trump, right?
- 12:34But just to be clear, you, you think that's in the show or
- 12:36you're just this is a hot take? No, I think that's political
- 12:39stance. I think that's going to be
- 12:41coming up in the show. OK, OK.
- 12:46Yes, that's, that's been big news here because people are
- 12:48like, that's some balls because we have currently have the
- 12:53world's most litigious president ever and and he will, he will
- 12:58try to deport them somehow. Well, they're Canadian, aren't
- 13:02they? Aren't they?
- 13:03I'm pretty sure they'll be American citizens by now.
- 13:07They must. Have already been ever a lot I
- 13:09don't know. Yeah, not in a positive way.
- 13:13Fans got black and white. Yeah, my fucking monitor's been
- 13:16doing this thing where it just goes off for a second.
- 13:18I don't know why. But not yeah, I haven't heard
- 13:21about him suing them yet, but he that's gotta be coming.
- 13:24He'll, I mean, if he hasn't said, people have.
- 13:27Tried. People have tried to sue them
- 13:29before. Yeah, but they're not stupid.
- 13:31They've got lawyers they like, yes, they do some crazy shit,
- 13:34but they usually cover their asses as far as like, yeah,
- 13:37look. At parody laws.
- 13:38Doesn't matter because he's going to get.
- 13:40You a long way. I've said about this.
- 13:41Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 13:44Like if it's clearly a joke and it's on, it is.
- 13:48I was about to say it's, yeah. I mean, you know.
- 13:51I think they honestly they could just say no one thinks South
- 13:55Park is real. Yeah, yeah, because I remember
- 13:57Jon Stewart case. Closed.
- 13:58Used to get people trying to get him on libel.
- 14:01They're like, because you're a political pundit, He's like, no,
- 14:03I'm a comedian. They're like, you've got a
- 14:05political show. He's like, I'm on a channel
- 14:07called Comedy Central, like it's a comedy.
- 14:11It's. Yeah, yeah, I but they have not
- 14:16come up against the power of Donald J Trump before, so I'll
- 14:19see what happens. I mean he might be busy trying
- 14:22to clear his name from being on this.
- 14:25Is a nice. Political for him.
- 14:26To be honest. No, I've actually, he's actually
- 14:29over in Scotland opening a new Golf course.
- 14:32Oh good, of course he is good. And he's going to, he's also
- 14:38going to meet some political leaders.
- 14:40But yeah, it's a personal trip to go open a new Golf course
- 14:43that he owns all. Right while he's away.
- 14:50I've only been following the whole Epstein stuff from
- 14:52Coffeezilla. Yeah, God.
- 14:55God, Donald Trump thinks we're all stupid.
- 15:01OK so I I have a question because actually I haven't been
- 15:04following it. What is this list?
- 15:06Clearly, I mean clearly Donald Trump and and Brian, not Brian
- 15:11Epstein. That's the.
- 15:11Princess of Hell. Jeffrey Epstein.
- 15:14Jeffrey Epstein Yep, we're, we're fucking friends, right?
- 15:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:18Best, best. Friends, as far as I can tell.
- 15:21Yeah, it's, it's like. And if this is just a list.
- 15:23Of people that's been to his. House.
- 15:25Yeah, of course. That's the thing.
- 15:27But but that's the IT. It's like the Streisand effect,
- 15:29right? It's like, yes, we know you are
- 15:31friends. It's sometimes people are
- 15:34friends with people who do bad things.
- 15:35It doesn't implicate you, but why are you so fucking hard
- 15:38against this? There's nothing in there like
- 15:41the Streisand effect. They spoke about it for a long
- 15:43time. It's gonna come out and a lot of
- 15:45people are gonna get in trouble and they.
- 15:47Ran on this as a thing. They were like, we get in, we'll
- 15:50release this fucking list. And and was it Pam Bondi?
- 15:53Yes, at the head of the DOJ said, yeah, I've got the list on
- 15:56my desk. It's all the list of clients and
- 15:59then it's on my desk. What do you say clients?
- 16:02You mean people would Epstein set up kids for?
- 16:06They the implication was yes, they we have a list of people
- 16:10who were involved in the trafficking.
- 16:12Right. Yeah, right.
- 16:13Right, but this is a list that either the CIA or the FBI or the
- 16:17DOJ compiled. They're not saying yes.
- 16:19Epstein himself had a list. Yeah, I mean.
- 16:22So I'm sorry you're not on the list.
- 16:23I can't. Think it's kid.
- 16:25I think people think people here, especially in in America,
- 16:30think that there was a list of some sort.
- 16:32They they, they've gotten into their heads because of the way
- 16:34this was talked about, that there is a list.
- 16:36Probably true list. It's his little book of, you
- 16:39know, like his. His Schindler's List.
- 16:41The export from his MYOB, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:44Yeah, yeah, he's blackmailed. What?
- 16:46Time they arrived and how much they owe him.
- 16:48Yeah, and because they talked it up so much and then they got in
- 16:51and then now all of them even was it Kash Patel, head of the
- 16:54FBI, who was saying there's it, we're going to get this fucking
- 16:56client list where all of them have said has no such thing now
- 16:59all of a sudden. And it's like, what?
- 17:02He took what? What?
- 17:03And to to a degree where it's like, well, now it's weird.
- 17:07Yeah, yeah. Like you promised this.
- 17:10You said there's a lot of names that you know that are going to
- 17:12are all going to come out and now it's and.
- 17:15So either there isn't 1 and you lied to get voted in which
- 17:20politicians do you know I guess. Or there is one and now you're
- 17:24lying because for some reason. Changes.
- 17:28Your body doesn't want you to, and then it's like you know
- 17:31which which is your preferred conspiracy?
- 17:35Here's the thing, Matt. If the American people were
- 17:41perfectly happy to vote in Trump knowing that he was already.
- 17:44They're not happy about this. This is what's so amazing about
- 17:47him. But.
- 17:47But I his. Base.
- 17:49His base is turning on him because of this.
- 17:51They're like, no. They were all we.
- 17:52You promise not. Except pedos that we we have
- 17:56drawn a line and that is beyond. It he is OK, but those women
- 18:01have to be overrated apparently. He's promised good, I think.
- 18:05For for whatever reason. And this is too much calling
- 18:09out, everyone calling out for it.
- 18:10They're not. They're not.
- 18:11They're not turning it into a political thing.
- 18:13They're just going if there's any of this stuff happening on
- 18:16any side, release it. Agreed.
- 18:19Yeah, that's what, Yeah, I think that's the thing.
- 18:22Everybody, no matter what political party agrees.
- 18:24If this was going on, whoever you are, Mark you, we want the
- 18:29list. I mean, which is great.
- 18:31I think that's healthy. Yeah.
- 18:32I think it's probably too little too late if you ask me in the in
- 18:36the whole like good version, this is the evil battle that's
- 18:38been going on in America for the last 10 years or so.
- 18:41But but, you know, I'm glad people are drawn a line and that
- 18:45that that's where the line is. Sure.
- 18:49Yeah. Yeah.
- 18:50But I do love that quote where Trump said there is no list and
- 18:54I'm not on it. And even if there was a list, I
- 18:58wouldn't be on it. And then it turned into then it
- 19:02one side she was going to go, this was Biden putting together
- 19:07Obama putting together a fake list.
- 19:09Oh yeah. Right.
- 19:11Yeah, because Obama's got nothing better to do with his
- 19:13retirement is than the. Backtrack Was that the?
- 19:16President when Epstein was arrested, as I don't think that
- 19:21he was already sharp at that point.
- 19:23I, I was about to say I, I think it was Trump's first term,
- 19:26right? Yeah, I think so.
- 19:29Whatever. But yeah, well, Elaine Maxwell's
- 19:32gonna take the stand soon, isn't she?
- 19:34Haven't they She's. Given a statement to the DOJ and
- 19:36apparently she's named 100 people, just pulled 100 names
- 19:40out of. Her ass because up until that I
- 19:42bet. I bet I know what one of them
- 19:44isn't because she's trying to get out of jail.
- 19:47Yeah, she's trying to get a policy.
- 19:49But it's just so weird because when they came out and did he's
- 19:51everything we have, there's only two people implicated.
- 19:54And it was Jeffrey Epstein and her evidently got 1000 victims,
- 20:00but there's only two people. Yeah, just.
- 20:03Really understood what she was getting out of any of this.
- 20:06She's she's not like didn't claw away up out of poverty.
- 20:09She was a very privileged person and she has multiple degrees in
- 20:14in, in in Ivy League universities.
- 20:16And and it's like, why are you helping fucking well, Johnny
- 20:20Pedo out on pedo Island. From what I understand, she was
- 20:26involved in various the the things that happened in a way
- 20:29that presumably she had some. Yeah.
- 20:33Desire to. Yeah, that's my understanding.
- 20:35Right. Yeah, and and I guess also he
- 20:37was very wealthy and powerful. And then therefore, by osmosis,
- 20:41she also was. She was.
- 20:43She was already pretty. Wealthy and personal.
- 20:46But in a row right? Like she is from a.
- 20:48People always want more. Yeah, I don't.
- 20:52Know, but I'm sorry for taking us down this path.
- 20:54No, it's all right. I I just don't understand the
- 20:56whole thing. It's just such a like that
- 20:59whole. It's just no.
- 21:02There's no amount of money or power that would.
- 21:05Yeah. No, no.
- 21:07But also just the fact that, I mean, say what you want about
- 21:12America day-to-day, but the fact that you're president might be a
- 21:16pedophile, it's like, come on. Well, that's The thing is that
- 21:19people, it's very hopefully, it's very unlikely that's the
- 21:24case. Hopefully it's just that he, you
- 21:27know, they were best friends. Yeah.
- 21:29And so he's in there a lot and he's worried about it.
- 21:31I'm sure he partied hard on that, but it's just.
- 21:33The possibility of of it being the other thing and him being so
- 21:39like weird about it is just like, is the biggest issue here.
- 21:42Yeah, you know. 'Cause I find he's causing.
- 21:44It for himself. There's a lot of people who went
- 21:47to the island. I'm pretty sure it's not.
- 21:49Every time someone went there it was a it's.
- 21:51Bring them out, Yes. Do I think we think Bill Gates,
- 21:54fucking Bill Clinton, or we think all of them?
- 21:56All of them. I mean, yeah, it's possible,
- 21:59but. Like, but The thing is like,
- 22:01it's not like we're, it's not like we all just fucking want
- 22:04that. It's just that we don't have an
- 22:05island to do. Exactly you.
- 22:06Know what I mean? Like, like if you took me to an
- 22:08island, eat all the lobster you want.
- 22:10I was like, yeah, great. And they're like, drink all the
- 22:12booze. Yeah, great.
- 22:13And they're like, fuck all the kids.
- 22:14I'll be like, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, I'll just eat.
- 22:16The lobsters, if that's a. Misunderstanding.
- 22:18Yeah. I've just I want to go home.
- 22:21You do? Yeah.
- 22:23Yeah, I feel like I would hope this is just not something that
- 22:28you get into when you get money or something like.
- 22:32Yeah, here's. Your fucking.
- 22:34Gold Amex and here's your kid. Well, some people are turning
- 22:40into, some people have been saying that for a long time.
- 22:42To become famous, they also ought to become rich and
- 22:44powerful. They all had to go and do this
- 22:46ceremony and all that stuff. That's a.
- 22:48Room to Grove, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Alex Jones, I assume, talks
- 22:54about. He went there with, what's his
- 22:57name, John something or other. The the journalist.
- 23:00That's a very there's a book about it.
- 23:01It's very funny. It's just a hazing ritual of
- 23:05sorts. Or like a.
- 23:07Yeah. Apparently.
- 23:11I wouldn't know. Matt seems to know a.
- 23:13Lot about it. Speaking of Speaking of secret
- 23:16societies, you know how Bunnings always have a sausage sizzle?
- 23:23No, wait, wait. One cost.
- 23:24I'm getting to it. I'm getting to it.
- 23:30It's always like the fucking, it's always like the, the, the
- 23:36Eastwood under 10s soccer club or something trying to raise
- 23:39money for the end of the year, whatever, or something like
- 23:41that, right? Sometimes it was like once it
- 23:43was the the men's Welsh choir or something.
- 23:47You know, last weekend it was the the Freemasons.
- 23:54Right. Nice, Yeah.
- 23:55And I was like, OK, I've never seen them out, You know, I'm
- 24:00aware of their building. I'm aware that the Masons are
- 24:03like this. Yeah.
- 24:04They don't wear the robes out though.
- 24:06You wouldn't know. They weren't in robes, right?
- 24:08But they. Were in the little.
- 24:10They were in T sets that say wanna be one, ask one.
- 24:15And I was like, yeah, right. I thought it was slightly more
- 24:18exclusive, no? I think it used to be.
- 24:20It used to I think the. Membership hasn't been for a
- 24:22very long time. I've been to the Masonic Temple
- 24:25in Sydney because I took photos of the inside for when I was
- 24:28doing location stuff and I was very excited.
- 24:31There, Yeah. I was very.
- 24:32Excited. There is a big throne.
- 24:35A big wooden throne. Oh, it's, it's fucking cool in
- 24:38there. Yeah.
- 24:39And it was very exciting. But then it did deflate the
- 24:43mystery a little bit because of the.
- 24:44Fact that they rent out their building, yeah.
- 24:46Yeah, exactly. Yes, yes, it's like a function
- 24:48centre. It's more of a just a boys
- 24:50drinking club these days I think.
- 24:53Right. Yeah.
- 24:54We got the Elks here in the US and someone we know from trivia
- 25:00joined the Elks the other week because you get a free beer.
- 25:05He said. He said, I went there.
- 25:07I went there to get a drink and then free beer.
- 25:10And they have a food, a buffet like food buffet there.
- 25:13And he was like, it's fucking great.
- 25:15And then they they, I'm not going to say who it was.
- 25:19They said, oh, you've just got to swear this oath.
- 25:22And part of the oath was that you'll never forsake the US
- 25:25government or something like that.
- 25:27And his wife was like, I don't know if you want to do that.
- 25:29And he's like, free fucking beer.
- 25:30I'll say whatever they want and give a shit.
- 25:33Yeah, hold on. Was he gonna forsake the
- 25:35government? What?
- 25:36What's like? Like I said, I think he's not
- 25:38supposed to like, disagree with the government, whatever he was.
- 25:41He. Whatever he.
- 25:41Was he was, yeah, he was like. His wife was to keep the door
- 25:44open though. Yes.
- 25:46Yeah, for for some mild treason. Yeah.
- 25:49But I think, yeah, well, his point was just I'll do whatever
- 25:52the fuck I want. Yeah, but I'll say I'll say it.
- 25:54Yeah. To get the food.
- 25:54Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna throw out there for all these conspiracy
- 25:58heroes that think that Freemason draw the world.
- 26:00If they got the Bunnings to raise money as a sausage sizzle,
- 26:03yeah, they're not rotting the world.
- 26:05Yeah, yeah, and their sausages cost the same as what the under
- 26:08sixes from Eastwood cost, so yeah.
- 26:11Oh, all right, Epstein. Whether you want to fuck a.
- 26:17Freemason or a little. Kid or a little soccer player?
- 26:22I saw Meme the other day. Made me laugh.
- 26:24It was. Hey babe, can we go to one of
- 26:26those restaurants where they make the food in front of you?
- 26:28Yeah, let's go. And it's just Bunnings.
- 26:32Amazing. I'm thinking about going to one
- 26:35of those places again. I haven't been in ages.
- 26:38I like eating the prawn shells. Oh OK, I want to go those.
- 26:41Places. I think I'll cook them for you.
- 26:44Oh. What do they do?
- 26:47This is that. One of those ones where you just
- 26:49hold your mouth open and they just flick stuff at you.
- 26:51Yep, you got to hold the bowls and no I've.
- 26:54Never done that. She's fun.
- 26:56They spray sake in your mouth. Yep, you can say it's your
- 26:59birthday. They'll pour a lot of sake down
- 27:01your mouth. Well, it's not good sake, it's
- 27:04cooking sake. Was this a local thing or was
- 27:06this a news article I read about the place where one of the chefs
- 27:10got fired for spring vegetable oil all over the customers
- 27:16instead of sake by mistake mouthfuls of vegetable oil.
- 27:21Oh. God, yeah.
- 27:24I can't understand it because it's just very similar bottles.
- 27:27Because it is. They're just cooking oils and
- 27:30sake. Right.
- 27:31I just, yeah. But then next time I'm up in
- 27:34Sydney, we'll go. OK, I'm in.
- 27:37Back from my leave. Yeah, sounds good.
- 27:40Back from my long holiday where I'm going to get bombed.
- 27:42Long Yeah, yeah, there'll be a list, there'll be, there'll be
- 27:49like, were you on the Alderson list?
- 27:56Look, I I feel that last segment got just too funny and I just
- 27:59want to bring the mood right back down.
- 28:01Oh. Great, great for a comedy
- 28:03podcast. Bruce Willis health update.
- 28:06Yeah. Bruce.
- 28:08Willis Video. No longer knows that he was a
- 28:11famous actor. I guess we knew it was coming.
- 28:15Yeah, but that's. Yeah, I know.
- 28:18Just sad. Yeah.
- 28:22That broke my heart when I read that.
- 28:25Did all. He seems happy though.
- 28:27Yeah, he's. He seems happy in a way that, as
- 28:29I understand it, he wasn't before.
- 28:31Like. Yeah, which I mean I'm not help.
- 28:33But feel that too, yeah. Like, I don't mean to say like
- 28:36he's better off or anything like that, but from what I but he was
- 28:38always. Wasn't he bastard?
- 28:40Yes, he was. He he was like one of those
- 28:42people that that seemed to want fame but fucking hate it at the
- 28:47same time. Yeah, like.
- 28:49But also hate you for talking to him.
- 28:53Yes because he's famous but hate you more if you don't talk to
- 28:57him because he didn't recognise. Him like he'd buy a restaurant
- 28:59so that he could keep us out and just have a fucking restaurant
- 29:03that he can go to of his own because he doesn't want to deal
- 29:05with people. I'm quite happy that they didn't
- 29:07do what they did, like Stanley and stuff and just keep Wheeling
- 29:10him out just to build as much money as they could.
- 29:12Blood to make fucking blood autographs.
- 29:15Yeah. Oh, I'd forgotten about that.
- 29:19I don't know. Terrible.
- 29:20And people purchased them. Yeah, and drank it.
- 29:24Yeah. Mixed.
- 29:27Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now they could say Excelsior.
- 29:32Made it radioactive, injected it.
- 29:35I just learned how to use Excel from it, which I guess got.
- 29:39Confused. I need.
- 29:40To learn now because I've never learned, yeah.
- 29:43So yeah, I saw a video of Bruce Willis just having a dance.
- 29:46Yeah. With this border.
- 29:48Which is lovely, but apparently he's excuse.
- 29:52Me. Doesn't remember no that that
- 29:55he's. It's like he's been lobotomized,
- 29:58you know, he's just carefree, and he's not Bruce Willis as we
- 30:03knew him. Hopefully he's still their dad
- 30:07and they still have, you know, all that going just doesn't.
- 30:13Know yes, we talked about. Fucking die hard.
- 30:16Yeah, we talked about confusing period there where he was doing
- 30:19movies where everyone was like, oh the fuck is he doing his
- 30:21movies because. We and people were saying he's
- 30:25got an earpiece in feeding him his lines and we're like oh what
- 30:29a sell out. Rather rather than he did a
- 30:31whole thing on it, they were like.
- 30:32That's right. But no, all he was doing was he
- 30:35was trying to make as much fun as he could very quickly to just
- 30:38set him up for the rest of his life.
- 30:40And the earpiece was because he couldn't remember his lines,
- 30:42because he had dementia or whatever it is.
- 30:47It's a form. Of yeah, I mean, it's some kind
- 30:49of dementia, right? Yeah.
- 30:52Yeah, yeah. So there you go.
- 30:55Not so, but I'm glad he's happy at least.
- 30:58Yeah. Yeah, No, I seems to be because
- 31:00even like I watched that, you know, a variety do like
- 31:04internets. Like, you know, Bruce Willis
- 31:06answers the internet's burning questions about himself.
- 31:09He just, he seemed like he hated being there.
- 31:12He seemed to resent every question that was asked of him.
- 31:15And he seemed to think that the people that asking the questions
- 31:18were just a bunch of losers, you know, like he.
- 31:21Just didn't remember it might be hard.
- 31:24But but I'm, I'm, I always liked him as an actor.
- 31:28Like, yeah, from Moonlighting. It's.
- 31:31Charming. Funny.
- 31:32Through all of that, yeah, Very charming, very funny, great
- 31:37action hero even in, you know, your What's Rodriguez as a
- 31:43zombie movie. Oh yeah, planet terror.
- 31:46Planet Terror and the Sin City, all of that stuff.
- 31:51And so when when he was going off the rails, I did get really
- 31:54sad. And I'm almost less sad knowing
- 31:59that he's just happier as an old he's all right scene.
- 32:02Old man. Yeah.
- 32:03Because it was weird at the time, you went from like big
- 32:07movie star to just doing these B grade streaming stuff very
- 32:13quickly. Yes, and I mean it didn't maybe
- 32:15not that quickly. It just seemed like it because
- 32:17the some of the Die Hard sequels are garbage, but they would
- 32:19still Die hard. So it didn't feel like it was,
- 32:22yeah, such a decline. But then.
- 32:25Yeah, you could kind of understand why he was still
- 32:27doing Die Hard, if nothing. Else, I feel like Bruce Willis
- 32:30is what everyone used to say Harrison Ford was, but then you
- 32:34watch the old interviews with Harrison Ford and it's like he's
- 32:36just fucking around. Whereas.
- 32:37Bruce Willis, It seemed like he was genuinely annoyed.
- 32:41I do think there was probably a point where Harrison Ford was
- 32:45like, OK, enough already. Yeah, I feel like he had a
- 32:48healthy barrier and probably still does to this day between
- 32:52with a real him and the celebrity in a way that a lot of
- 32:55people don't seem to sometimes. I know I also think he may have
- 32:59had like a chat happen to him at some stage as well, like with
- 33:02Kirk and true where like that chat.
- 33:05Oh, no easy Offence has really been here and he's, I think he
- 33:08may have. Yeah, I love that story.
- 33:09Taking the board and sort of did go that more funny still taking
- 33:14the yeah because I I. Do you think that old ones?
- 33:17I still think Harrison Ford was funny back when he was doing the
- 33:20Star Wars stuff and Indiana Jones, and I think maybe his
- 33:23sense of humour was not. I think this appeared after
- 33:26Indiana Jones and Star Wars and before doing Star Wars again,
- 33:30where he. I know he had a bit of he he
- 33:32doesn't like being told, oh, you're in these classic movies
- 33:35and you're such a big star because it's that's boring to.
- 33:37Him. Yeah.
- 33:37And he doesn't like being asked who would win in a fight between
- 33:40Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Don't care.
- 33:44He doesn't like being asked. That's the first.
- 33:47Episode of this podcast. That's available Episode 80.
- 33:50I don't know and I don't care. It's a Harrison Ford quote.
- 33:53Yeah, yeah. Oh, I love this.
- 33:56I put this in the spreadsheet like a a month ago and we never
- 33:59talked about it. But did you see Mark Hamill was
- 34:02on the panel and they asked him what what order you should watch
- 34:07the Star Wars movies in? Oh yeah.
- 34:09Chronological in terms of production or chronological in
- 34:13terms of the story? And his answer was I don't
- 34:17fucking care, do what you want. Nice.
- 34:23Did you say this? I don't know if we we didn't
- 34:24talk about this. Right.
- 34:25His back story for Luke. Here we go.
- 34:28He came up with his own. Yeah, so when they were doing
- 34:32The Last Jedi, only when we took this got talked about ad
- 34:35nauseam. But he was not happy with Luke
- 34:40in that as. Was, wasn't wasn't just him.
- 34:42Yeah, no. No, and we are on your side,
- 34:44buddy. He said to he told Ryan Johnson,
- 34:49I don't think this character is correct.
- 34:51I don't think this is what Luke had done.
- 34:53And he said, OK, this is a quote.
- 34:54Can I make up my own back story of why he's the way he is?
- 34:57Because I don't just want to say, oh, I bumped my head and I
- 34:59have brain damage. And Ryan Johnson's said, yeah,
- 35:02yeah, do whatever you want. And then so.
- 35:06I'm not filming it. So he cares?
- 35:08Yeah. He did.
- 35:11Did you read this? The back story he came up.
- 35:12With no. Police.
- 35:14Police tell us. OK, this is this is Mark Hamill.
- 35:17I thought, what could make someone give up a devotion to
- 35:20what is basically a religious entity to give up being a Jedi?
- 35:23Well, the love of a woman. So he falls in love with a
- 35:26woman, he gives up being a Jedi, and they have a child together.
- 35:29And at some point as a toddler, the child picks up an unattended
- 35:33lightsaber, pushes the button, and is instantly killed.
- 35:38And then the wife is so full of grief that she kills herself.
- 35:42Fucking so when you. Watch The Last Jedi.
- 35:46I've got to put this back on now.
- 35:48That's why he's drinking that blue milk and living on that
- 35:52island. Well, it makes more.
- 35:54Sense that that was his. Performance.
- 35:56Yeah, right, 'cause that was, that was Mark.
- 35:59Don't use too many cuss words. At all, Yeah.
- 36:04But it makes more sense than what we saw.
- 36:07Anything where she had a bad dream.
- 36:10Yes, yeah. I thought that did murder A.
- 36:13Child. I thought that resonated deeply,
- 36:15but Ryan didn't have time to tell a story like that.
- 36:17I'm guessing so. Yeah, I have to murder a child
- 36:21who's done nothing wrong, but I can forgive my father and bring
- 36:24him back to the light side of the force after he's murdered
- 36:27millions. That's fine.
- 36:30We also didn't talk about the fact that for the first time in
- 36:3540 years they have screened A-35 millimetre print of the original
- 36:39theatrical Star Wars. Yes, apparently George Lucas
- 36:43gave the thumbs up. He said knock yourself out.
- 36:45Someone found one in the he. Was floating in his pole in his
- 36:49hair anymore. Yeah, I don't.
- 36:50Yeah, do whatever the fuck you want.
- 36:51Yeah, that's right. And The funny thing is that all
- 37:00the feedback has been negative. People finally have been going.
- 37:05Huh. So that's what it looked like.
- 37:08I guess it kind of makes sense why he wanted to fix a few
- 37:11things. And I guess it makes sense why
- 37:13he redid the soundtrack, because the sound effects were a bit
- 37:17hokey and a lot of the matte paintings weren't particularly
- 37:21convincing. There there is a version out
- 37:26there that I would love that's sort of a combination of that
- 37:28original and just the special. Editions like a fixed up version
- 37:33that doesn't change plot or add extra stuff.
- 37:35Yeah, just basically, just basically.
- 37:38Positive that exists. There's so many in it.
- 37:40It's I'm positive that. Exists.
- 37:42I've got a version somewhere, I don't know if maybe I've lost it
- 37:45over the years but I had. It was a scan of the 35 mil and
- 37:48I never actually watched it, but I'd be interested to see because
- 37:50it probably is like you say, just not, not what you remember
- 37:55because your brain, yeah, smooths over the rough edges in
- 37:59a way that yeah, watching it. I mean I definitely, I
- 38:03definitely don't want to see the big fucking CGI elephants coming
- 38:07in front of the screen. No I would.
- 38:09I wouldn't mind the colour consistency of the light Sabre
- 38:12at every scene. But maybe you'll notice the the
- 38:14big CGI elephants were covering up something.
- 38:17Yeah. Right.
- 38:18And then you go, oh, that's why they're.
- 38:19There I wouldn't mind hoping like the X wings looking the way
- 38:22they did in the special edition, not the original because like
- 38:25just stuff like that like yeah that's what I'd want because I
- 38:30don't know we. Probably goal posts.
- 38:32We only saw the only time we got the certain big screen was
- 38:39special edition. That was it.
- 38:41That was when they finally we got to see it.
- 38:43And I was like, yeah. And then I was sitting there
- 38:45like, oh. What's?
- 38:48That why is that there? That's weird.
- 38:51Hold on, why did Grudo shoot? Yeah.
- 38:55And the the. Hard original, no hard shot at
- 38:58all. Yeah, he's the only one shot.
- 39:00Harriet yeah, I got the sorry listeners.
- 39:03Sorry. Yeah, sorry, that that version
- 39:072, was it 97 or whatever had the really bad jab of the Hutt.
- 39:11Yes yeah, too. So if you're wondering why, like
- 39:15if you watch it now, it looks fucking way worse than that the
- 39:18first. Time walks over the tail.
- 39:21He just goes back. Yeah, yeah, the second one, The
- 39:29Empire Strikes Back. Was.
- 39:32The best? Yes.
- 39:34Special Edition. Because it didn't need anything.
- 39:37Because Kirchner was just great movie.
- 39:39Anyway, but I agree with the things they did change, putting
- 39:44some windows in cloud city with some clouds outside.
- 39:46Yeah, it looks good. That's great.
- 39:49When he runs around the corner and he sees 50 stormtroopers and
- 39:52runs off instead of seeing 3. Made more sense.
- 39:56So I think all of that stuff was good.
- 40:01And then Jedi with the new musical numbers.
- 40:06And he walks it blink. That was that was years and
- 40:10years later. I know it was blinking.
- 40:12Yeah, that was. Blu Ray's.
- 40:13Blu-ray, but that's OK, I got no problem with it.
- 40:16But Blu-ray did a few weird things.
- 40:17It was the blinking Ewoks. There was hard to wedged himself
- 40:21into a fucking hole to hide from the rate the Tuscans.
- 40:26And Vader doing them? No.
- 40:29Yeah. Which in case, was anybody
- 40:30confused about what his opinion was at that time in the film.
- 40:34Yeah, that's right. What do you do that for?
- 40:36That's weird. But here's the thing.
- 40:38Say what you want about Return of the Jedi.
- 40:40I know. I mean, it's my least favorite
- 40:41of the three. Yeah, I enjoy it still, but I
- 40:44still love it. And no, I loved it.
- 40:46First 30 minutes were absolutely perfect.
- 40:50Like just the the the rescuing of Han from the huts was perfect
- 40:58and now it's almost perfect with a weird song in the middle of
- 41:02it. Yes.
- 41:05Yeah, that was very into no. No, no, no the.
- 41:07Luke Vader storyline as a kid, yeah.
- 41:10So the the the kind of climax of that.
- 41:13Well The thing is, Returner Jedi was the first one I had saw.
- 41:17His hand. When I was a kid I was like, oh
- 41:19fuck yes. Returner Jedi was the first one
- 41:23I ever saw because I remember coming on the television.
- 41:26Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 41:28Because it came in. A three I taped Star Wars and I
- 41:32watched put it on before school and then I started watching it
- 41:35and I was like, this is the best movie I've ever seen.
- 41:37And then they're like, go, go to school.
- 41:38And I was. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:45And then the the video shop near us, I was trying to remember
- 41:48what it was called, but it's gone, it's gone from my brain.
- 41:52Top Video A. Waragamba video, whatever it.
- 41:55Was yeah, yeah, that's right. Yeah, something, but it had a no
- 41:59actually. So the Warragamba, we didn't
- 42:01have a video shop in Warragamba. We had a, we had a petrol
- 42:06station that had a back wall with videos on it.
- 42:08And we had a hi-fi shop called Sounds Electric that had a back
- 42:11wall with VHS tapes that you could rent.
- 42:13But they they didn't have many. But if you drove all the way
- 42:16into Penrith and maybe it was a video easy or something, but
- 42:20they had in Penrith definitely they they had this behind the
- 42:24scenes. Yes, new games.
- 42:26Was it exactly right? Yeah, it's video easy.
- 42:28They had this behind the scenes of Star Wars video, the makings
- 42:33of Star Wars, and I found that just as interesting as the
- 42:36movies. And I remember there was footage
- 42:41on, I think actually I think it was the making of Empire Strikes
- 42:44Back. But I'd only seen Star Wars when
- 42:46I saw this too because I remember there was a Luke Vader
- 42:49sword fight and I was like that's not in the fucking one
- 42:51I've seen. Yeah.
- 42:55But everything, everything Star Wars when we were kids was just
- 42:58like, you know. Sheriff's mini cars had the
- 43:01fucking storm. Store trooper.
- 43:03Yeah, just. Randomly do.
- 43:05You remember how much that cost? I think it was. 800 bucks.
- 43:09Yeah, like it was. Yeah, it was far less than.
- 43:12I mean, it was a. Oh, it was unachievable when I
- 43:15was a kid. Yeah, yeah.
- 43:16It was like, I'm never. You now.
- 43:18And it was 1. Of those things, that was like,
- 43:20if I ever have money, when I grow up and I have money,
- 43:22obviously I'll buy. That's clearly I'm coming back
- 43:25here for that I. Don't have one so.
- 43:28The thing, so that's that store alone and just for listeners,
- 43:33this was a hobby car shop like a model car.
- 43:36Model trains and shit, yeah. Back wall or just tiny little
- 43:39alcove in the back with just Star Wars stuff.
- 43:42So much time there. Lost in space and stuff.
- 43:46Yeah, some, but. They also had Star Wars figures
- 43:51and now bearing in mind this is maybe 919293 so this is only
- 43:56this is within 15 years of the original Star Wars.
- 43:59They had Star Wars figures both in and out-of-the-box.
- 44:03So and the ones in the box were prohibitively expensive and the
- 44:08ones out-of-the-box you could get for like 7-8 nine dollars
- 44:11depending on the the rarity of the figure.
- 44:13But I was already going like. That was worth 789 dollars was a
- 44:16lot more back then to be. Yeah.
- 44:18Well, yes, yes, that's right. But I'm like it's, it's really
- 44:23it's, it's $100 for this, for this figure just because it's
- 44:27not open yet. What is that all?
- 44:28About. I've got some figures
- 44:30out-of-the-box that are probably worth more than that now.
- 44:33Yeah. Oh yeah?
- 44:35Oh, you've got any from that original Kenna run for?
- 44:38Sure, I've got a lot. A friend Gordon has ton or had
- 44:46tons of them. Yeah, right.
- 44:48He had like the Millennium Falcons set and stuff.
- 44:50I thought he still does. I held onto a few.
- 44:54I don't think he is using his name in that context.
- 44:57I'm not sure he wouldn't. It's.
- 44:59So wary of naming people that I literally stole even though I'm
- 45:02just telling a nice story. Yeah, that's right.
- 45:04I know we've been gotten caught out before.
- 45:07Yeah. People only will you tell, not
- 45:09my stories. Yeah, that's right.
- 45:11Yeah, Nobody's ever been offended from us telling a nice.
- 45:13Story No. I feel like people sometimes
- 45:15just don't want to be named at all.
- 45:16But anyway. Want to be named?
- 45:17Yeah, that's that's also true. The best figure I ever had was
- 45:23the Luke Skywalker in the Stormtrooper outfit where you
- 45:27could take off the helmet. Oh, it just looked like a
- 45:29stormtrooper. And then it was Luke.
- 45:31A bit a bit shorter. Yep.
- 45:34That's right. And yet somehow fit into the
- 45:36standard uniform. Yeah, see the line?
- 45:41You are you a little short for a stormtrooper?
- 45:43Makes more and less sense given the fact that there were clones.
- 45:46Because first of all, it Oh yeah, he's shorter than Tamara
- 45:50Morrison. But then also, wouldn't they
- 45:51fucking notice? Yes, like.
- 45:55But also, hold on, they made it very clear in that first movie,
- 46:00if we are only going for the first movie, that they were
- 46:04conscripts from all over the. Yeah, Yeah, you're right.
- 46:06You're right. Yeah.
- 46:08I don't know, it's gets confusing but.
- 46:11You know, as if they're clones. Just give them a hive mind.
- 46:13Like why? Why give them individual
- 46:15personalities? That's what I never understood
- 46:18like. Do that.
- 46:19Do you know how to do that? Well, don't tell you how to make
- 46:21a clone to go off the Clone Wars cartoons and the books.
- 46:26I don't, I don't they I've. Gone off them I've gone.
- 46:28Right off them I have gone. Off them, yeah.
- 46:30They were all some of the clones were sort of.
- 46:33They weren't all exactly the same.
- 46:34Some were given sort of different specialist knowledge.
- 46:37You had you. Yeah, they were all New
- 46:41Zealanders though. Yeah, wanted a big Dick.
- 46:43Wanted a small Dick to see. Would it affect anything?
- 46:49If you were making a bunch of clones, would you make one with
- 46:51the really small Dick just to see the others turned on him?
- 46:55Yeah. Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 46:57Yeah. Just give me all my advice and
- 47:01see what happens. Conversation stopper.
- 47:05Yeah, sorry about. Do you want to go hanging out at
- 47:08a Coldplay concert? I think we should talk about
- 47:11this. Yes, this is all over the
- 47:14Internet in a wonderful way. This is wholesome and yet not.
- 47:17Yeah, and it yeah, this is another one of those like, we
- 47:21hope our present isn't a pedophile.
- 47:23Things where people are like, no matter what you've done, no
- 47:26matter what else is out there on the Internet, they're like, you
- 47:29can't cheat on your wife with the HR lady and take it a cold.
- 47:34Like this is you are not being secret about this going to a
- 47:39very public place and this. Is another Streisand thing too,
- 47:43where it's like if they had just.
- 47:45Gone with it. No one would ever have known.
- 47:48No one even know about it but there.
- 47:50It was the fact that even what's he saying, said, Well, they're
- 47:53even nervous, all they're having in an affair.
- 47:56And then everyone wanted the Internet, wanted to know.
- 47:59So if you haven't seen this, you you should yeah, put link in the
- 48:02shadows. You you would have you must have
- 48:04seen this is the the the the the CEO of astronomer a company was
- 48:11popped up on the kiss Cam at a Coldplay concert with his arms
- 48:14around the HR lady from his company and not his wife and not
- 48:18her husband obviously. And I always say that if you're
- 48:22going to molest someone, molest the HR lady.
- 48:24Who's she going to tell? So they, you know, instead of
- 48:29just like going with it, even though that that could be
- 48:32problematic if you're trying to hide an affair.
- 48:34They fucking freaked out and tried to hide and and then.
- 48:40I think the only thing they regret more than doing that was
- 48:44the reaction that yeah. Yeah, it was so obvious that
- 48:47something was wrong and then. The only reason this went viral
- 48:51is because of their reaction. It had it just.
- 48:53Been so funny. Why would you do that?
- 48:56Why would you? Her friend is just laughing at
- 48:59her. Well, because everyone in the
- 49:03world knows now. And so, yeah.
- 49:06So even Chris Martin at at the time in the show said something
- 49:11going on there, Yeah. Why hey.
- 49:14Yeah, and now he's he's now left his job.
- 49:18Chris Manns left his job. Not Yeah.
- 49:20No longer lead singer for Coldplay anymore.
- 49:23Yeah, too shame you. No.
- 49:25But here's the thing. Within 48 hours of that news,
- 49:29breaking news. Embarrassing clips.
- 49:33He'd been fired, he'd quit, he'd had to step down like every,
- 49:38every, everyone just assumed they they knew what happened and
- 49:41and reported on it in every different way.
- 49:45But the thing that's quite funny though, if you go watch kiss
- 49:47cams and other events now, people are reacting exactly the
- 49:51same way. It's very funny.
- 49:54Are you like the mascots? They'll go to the mascots and
- 49:57the mascots will be hugging and then they'll go and hide.
- 49:59Yeah. I saw the first they did one at
- 50:02some like film event and it was, you know, Art the clown from
- 50:05Terra Fire and Laura Lavera, the girl from that them them doing
- 50:08it together, like it's very funny.
- 50:10Everybody, everybody's doing it. Yeah, plus there's memes now of
- 50:13just like, what mash up of characters could you put that
- 50:17were caught hugging each other at Coldplay?
- 50:19Yeah. Yeah.
- 50:21But yeah, that's. Right.
- 50:22That'd be a good one, yes. Yeah, very good.
- 50:30I feel so yes, if you get so. If you get caught on the kiss
- 50:33Cam why you haven't a fit just. Go with a.
- 50:35Don't do anything. Don't say yes though.
- 50:38Don't say. It's good that the world has
- 50:41made this moral judgement, you know, it doesn't means
- 50:43everyone's heart's in the right place, but at the same time
- 50:45like. Oh, it's a bit of shock.
- 50:48I'm surprised. These guys haven't fucking kill
- 50:51themselves now like come like. The the.
- 50:54The the shame that they have a feeling must.
- 50:57Just are you saying that they should?
- 51:01Yeah, I'm saying that if you are a fan of Coldplay, you should
- 51:05commit suicide. I'm not a fan of Coldplay.
- 51:13Me either. Take believe it.
- 51:14I don't can't prove I am, but I but I also don't like I don't
- 51:17hate Coldplay I. Mean Coldplay I.
- 51:19Hate them? No, I'm not going to their
- 51:22concert, I'll tell you that right now.
- 51:25Not even if I invited you. Well, that might be a little bit
- 51:29different than my pain with the HR.
- 51:31Lady at your company. No.
- 51:36Oh. He paused.
- 51:37Oh. He paused a really long.
- 51:39He's thinking about it, whoever you are, if you're listening.
- 51:41And you might You're listening. He might want to go there.
- 51:46Actually, I don't know who they are.
- 51:48OK, but it's good not to make jokes about the HR lady.
- 51:53Probably, Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 51:57I think that's the subtle, subtle way of telling us to move
- 52:00on. Yeah, it is from that joke.
- 52:03Not not that subtle either. Stop talking about me and my
- 52:06workplace. What else have we got?
- 52:10Can we talk about? Can we talk about Sasha Grey?
- 52:13Because I think this is very funny.
- 52:14Isn't she a porn star All you want?
- 52:17She is Luke, that's true. Isn't she what I've?
- 52:19Heard of Have I? Where have I heard that name?
- 52:24Well, I was going to ask. Why am IA?
- 52:26Is this so the I haven't looked at this right?
- 52:29It says Sasha Grey is the most watched doom streamer.
- 52:33Is that just is she just playing the game or is she?
- 52:37She's yeah. No, she's not.
- 52:39Like, yeah. She's just excited.
- 52:41So why last? Month.
- 52:42That's why I'm. Confused about play Doom and
- 52:44stream it and just because she's Sasha Grey everyone's like right
- 52:46I'll. I'll watch that.
- 52:48So everyone. 'S hoping she's gonna get a gear
- 52:50off but she hasn't yet, OK? Or even if she doesn't, if
- 52:54you're gonna watch anyone play Doom, you might as well watch
- 52:56Sasha. Grey, I suppose.
- 52:57Yeah, I suppose so. But is she good at Doom?
- 53:01Does that, and you won't say that.
- 53:02Does it matter? No, not if she's naked.
- 53:05But if she's not naked, it does matter a little bit.
- 53:07It starts to matter more, yeah. I mean, looking at what she's
- 53:10wearing, she's actually wearing a lot more than other.
- 53:13What she's wearing. Streamers.
- 53:16Yeah, Not in a bath is what you're saying?
- 53:21What a complaint. Too many clothes.
- 53:24Send it was not a complaint. She's a full oh, she's a former
- 53:31adult field flop, but I don't think I've ever seen her in
- 53:33anything or on anything. Or seen anything in her.
- 53:37Anything in her? Yeah.
- 53:39I just know the name. Yes, she's very famous.
- 53:43I know the name and the vagina. Yeah, I think her Mia Khalifa,
- 53:49those are the names that you, even if you don't, if you're not
- 53:52into porn, like those are the names.
- 53:54Although I must say I know who Mia Khalifa is now, but you guys
- 53:58told me who she was on air. I was like.
- 54:00Oh, OK. That's the hard thing about Mia
- 54:02Khalifa. She only did like four or five
- 54:05films. It wasn't like she was there.
- 54:07She yeah, they get apparently like relabeled or whatever, but
- 54:10she's in an interview. She's like, I only did it for
- 54:12like 6 months or whatever, yeah, just to make some money and then
- 54:15now, yeah, because they put her in kid job.
- 54:19Yes, and she was the 1st. Sheep.
- 54:21They made her like, dude, they made it like that kind of, what
- 54:24do you call it, fetish. Yeah.
- 54:25And then yeah, she got very famous from that.
- 54:27Yep. But Sasha Grey did tons of
- 54:33stuff, as I understand it, and then she she actually became
- 54:36she's like a actress in a film, television actress as well.
- 54:40So she. Plays herself in Entourage.
- 54:42There's a whole season of Entourage where Vinnie dates
- 54:44her. Yeah, right.
- 54:46OK, And now she's the most watched Doom streamer, which is.
- 54:49I just think it's interesting. Yeah.
- 54:51And funny. Yeah, it is funny.
- 54:54There's a lot of people just thinking, Sasha Grey, I'm going
- 54:57to see some nudity or something. I mean, that's the first thing I
- 55:01wondered was, oh, OK, Yeah. Is it because?
- 55:06No, it's OK. That's fine.
- 55:07So many of these people who. Maybe she's entertaining, I
- 55:09don't know. No, but.
- 55:11Yeah, I think a lot of these people who watch think they've
- 55:13got a chance with them. Yeah, I think there's a lot of
- 55:17that on Twitch. Yeah, especially.
- 55:19With the hot tub streams or whatever.
- 55:21Yes, and I'll write your name on my body if you give me so much
- 55:25money is. That a thing.
- 55:27Is that what you're offering as an as a Patreon?
- 55:30Oh, finally, Luke's made an offer.
- 55:32I'll write your name on me if you want.
- 55:36Me in a hot tub. You'll write my name on you if I
- 55:38want. Don't know if if Patreon.
- 55:40You'll write your name on him if Nate wants him to.
- 55:45Still need to do something for Nate.
- 55:47Yeah, you do, You do. Nate, if you want him to write
- 55:51my name on him. Yeah.
- 55:55Let us know. Yep.
- 56:00I don't. I don't watch people stream
- 56:02games. I've never quite understood it.
- 56:04I've watched it a little bit before.
- 56:05I've watched people review games.
- 56:07I have watched people do other stuff, like there's a guy I'm
- 56:11watching the YouTube stuff off, which is sort of the cut down
- 56:14version of what he streams, Doug, Doug.
- 56:16But just it's funny to watch what he's doing.
- 56:18He's not playing games, he's creating stuff.
- 56:21I suppose I've watched. I've mentioned before I watched.
- 56:24Will Jim play Rust, which is a game I would never play, but but
- 56:29I find his videos compelling in an interesting way.
- 56:32But he's not. It's not streaming, it's edited,
- 56:35right. So the boring bits are cut out.
- 56:36Yeah. So I think that's the
- 56:37difference. Because that's the thing like.
- 56:39We'd watch some guys play Conan Exiles back in the day.
- 56:42Like live or like edited? No, not live, but not yeah, not
- 56:48that edited but but yeah, put in like 1 hour clips on Yeah OK.
- 56:52YouTube because you're not like, not.
- 56:54Watching them live, the only time I've been on twitch is to
- 56:57watch Luke play Just Go Elysium. It's because sometimes the.
- 57:01Only time I've been on there. Sometimes I think, oh, I could
- 57:03stream myself playing games and I could, but I don't think it'd
- 57:05be very interesting because when I play games, I like how I talk.
- 57:08I just want to play the game. So like, I don't think it would
- 57:12be very interesting to watch me play games.
- 57:13I like the you're not. Making it sound that
- 57:15interesting. No, because I'm.
- 57:17I'm just having fun just getting clear what I want.
- 57:19I'm always wrong. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:21Well, depends, but I'm not. I don't want to talk to people
- 57:24on chat. I don't want, I don't want a
- 57:25distraction. I'm playing a game.
- 57:26Leave me alone. Yes.
- 57:27Yeah, yeah, but we, we've already figured we we'd play
- 57:31games differently to other people and for.
- 57:33Different reasons to other. People, yeah, like we, we can't
- 57:35play multiplayer. Yeah, it's the.
- 57:39Speaking of multiplayer, it's not multiplayer, but I've I've
- 57:42got to dip back into our Minecraft realm.
- 57:45I haven't been in at least a week so I should have.
- 57:49Actually, that's good point. Yeah, check it out.
- 57:50See what people have been up to, how to kind of join our
- 57:54Minecraft server. What's that?
- 57:56How can people join our Minecraft?
- 57:57Server Oh, if you go to patreon.com/multiple Nerdgasm,
- 58:00amongst the benefits, actually we don't really mention that one
- 58:03that much anymore, but some of the benefits of the after party,
- 58:06which will be coming up in a little bit, but we continue
- 58:08talking. And if you give $5 a month on
- 58:11the Patreon, you get more show. But if you join the Patreon in
- 58:17any way and pingers will let us know, you can join the Minecraft
- 58:20server until it fills up and then I'll have to figure out
- 58:24what to do. What do?
- 58:24We do next, yeah. Because it's not not far from
- 58:27being full at this point. So yeah, oh wow.
- 58:28But we'll figure it out. Yeah.
- 58:32And for the most part, the people that we have that have
- 58:36joined us in there are much better at the game than we are.
- 58:40And so. You've a lot of paytier on the
- 58:43Patreon. Not just any, not just a free
- 58:45sign up. You've got a dollar.
- 58:46One not just just follow us, yeah.
- 58:47A dollar a month you can get in I.
- 58:48Should say that yeah, a dollar a month isn't isn't much money.
- 58:52No, it's not. Speaking of money, before we go
- 58:58to the after party, I did want to mention this article.
- 59:01Microsoft has decided that games will not be $80.00 for the short
- 59:06term anyway. They've they've dialed back
- 59:10their plans. Outer Worlds 2 was going to be
- 59:13$80. It's not.
- 59:15It's going to be whatever it is, 60 bucks or whatever they are
- 59:17tractor. And all.
- 59:19Yep, they're holding off on the price increase, which is
- 59:22interesting. Nintendo did not do that.
- 59:24Their games are expensive now. Oh no, 70 bucks.
- 59:27OK. So it's a $10 price difference,
- 59:29but. That makes no difference because
- 59:32it's in the USD, but I guess that just means the same price,
- 59:37not way more expensive. Whatever games cost you now at
- 59:40release, they'll continue to. For them with this one, this is
- 59:43just going to be, it's going to come out and I'm just going to
- 59:45install it because it's going to be on Game Pass.
- 59:48Right. Which one?
- 59:51Out of Worlds 2. Yeah, it doesn't.
- 59:54Out of Worlds was pretty good, but I didn't.
- 59:58I thought it was very good. I thought it was great and I'm
- 1:00:00looking forward to what they do with more money and time.
- 1:00:03I. Thought it was very good.
- 1:00:04Out of the world I'd be I'm. I'm down to play the second one
- 1:00:07for sure. Gives us that new fallout sort
- 1:00:10of hit a little bit. Yeah, I really liked it.
- 1:00:15But yes, the pricing doesn't matter so much for Game Pass
- 1:00:18stuff, but if the industry follows then it means we'll get
- 1:00:23games. Cheap, cheaper.
- 1:00:26Well, not cheaper, just more expensive.
- 1:00:28But I don't know, I've been saying I think it's time for
- 1:00:31prices to go up. So.
- 1:00:33Oh, it is. We talked about this, I think
- 1:00:35the other one like. I don't think it is because I
- 1:00:38still want to play fucking Assassin's Creed Shadows and
- 1:00:43it's finally less than $100, but only.
- 1:00:47Just yeah, see, I think. 80. $5. The thing about like, you know,
- 1:00:54games with inflation and everything accounted for have
- 1:00:58never been cheaper than this. They they like comparatively.
- 1:01:01Yes, this is the cheapest. Yeah.
- 1:01:03Yeah, the problem is I've paid a lot more if you if you if you
- 1:01:06tally up all the money that I've given just for Skyrim.
- 1:01:12It's more than this, you know, so.
- 1:01:15The the thing I'd go is, is I think the reason why people are
- 1:01:18giving up to the price interest games is people are buying more
- 1:01:20games than they ever have as well.
- 1:01:22Oh yeah, true. Yeah.
- 1:01:24And there's there's so many more available.
- 1:01:26Yes. Like it's like you have to
- 1:01:27choose now in a way that you didn't like.
- 1:01:29You started to choose when we were kids, but from like two or
- 1:01:32three, yes. Now it's like.
- 1:01:34I could get 1S game at my birthday and one at Christmas.
- 1:01:38Yep, right. Yeah.
- 1:01:40And that was. But there weren't that many that
- 1:01:41you had to choose. From no, but that is a lot more
- 1:01:44but but I think people are buying a lot more games, so I
- 1:01:46think that's the I think people need to understand that as well.
- 1:01:51Yes, the price up sucks, but. Oh, Speaking of, nobody has
- 1:01:56asked me to do this, but the Biggle Boss incident came out.
- 1:01:59Oh yes, yeah, I and I have that bookmarked on Steam I.
- 1:02:04Just want to encourage everybody to check that out, see if it
- 1:02:07might interest you because. I'll be following very good.
- 1:02:10That's it. Adam.
- 1:02:10I think his name's Adam. His YouTube channel has been
- 1:02:13really, really fun to follow for the past fucking whatever three
- 1:02:16years it's taken him to make this game.
- 1:02:17It's a point click adventure game.
- 1:02:19He's been documenting the process in videos.
- 1:02:21He seems like a cool guy and I want to just, I just want to
- 1:02:23support him. Is this the Australian?
- 1:02:26No, he's he's British. Oh no, you think you think of
- 1:02:29Powerhoof? Yeah, Yep.
- 1:02:31I'll I'll those guys as well because what?
- 1:02:32Was that game, what was the game that they were making?
- 1:02:35Powerhoof. Oh, Powerpuff is the name of the
- 1:02:37game. Powerhoof.
- 1:02:38Sorry, they're making the Drifter, which does come out.
- 1:02:41Soon but drift I was about to say drifter is getting a lot of
- 1:02:44pre press and people are really liking it.
- 1:02:47I. Mean yeah, it looks incredible.
- 1:02:49So yeah, it's a lot of people had a look at it.
- 1:02:51Yeah, it. Looks really good, but Bigglebox
- 1:02:55incident is dear to my heart just because it's it's a guy you
- 1:02:58know who decided I want to make a point click adventure game and
- 1:03:01he fucking did it and I haven't so I just want to support him
- 1:03:04because I find that very inspirational.
- 1:03:06Yeah, he just did it on his own. Made a fucking game so.
- 1:03:09Shows it's possible. Yeah, and it's a comedy point
- 1:03:13click adventure game. I think he's funny so I
- 1:03:16recommend people check it out if that's your.
- 1:03:18Wheelhouse. Do you know do you know the the
- 1:03:20price of it on Steam? I think it's USI think it's like
- 1:03:25$10 at launch or something. Like that?
- 1:03:27It's not a full price game. It's a yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:30Yeah. So check out.
- 1:03:33There are more point clicks coming out now.
- 1:03:35They disappeared quite a long time.
- 1:03:37Well, I'm in, I'm in a couple of Discord groups related to them,
- 1:03:42and yeah, they're a bunch of them in development.
- 1:03:44Some been, some good ones and some good ones coming.
- 1:03:46Up and the best way. Maybe one day I'll get around to
- 1:03:49making one. Don't forget who the catering.
- 1:03:5218 AUD if you want it and you're in Australia, so that's, yeah,
- 1:03:56probably about 10 bucks your money.
- 1:04:00Or you can download a demo for free.
- 1:04:03Yep Yep. Here's a whole video about how
- 1:04:05he made the demo and how his advice would be plan the demo
- 1:04:08beforehand. Don't do what he did where he
- 1:04:09made the whole game and then was like how the fuck do I chop this
- 1:04:13into? Demo be Oh funny.
- 1:04:15Yeah, exactly. And so he had to make arbitrary
- 1:04:17decisions about things and try not to make the story confusing
- 1:04:20because, yeah, I say Oh yeah, good point.
- 1:04:24Anyway, his video series. If you're into game development,
- 1:04:26check out his video series too. It's great.
- 1:04:28He's he's an interesting guy. Yeah.
- 1:04:30Sick. Anyway, that's my.
- 1:04:34I'm. Going to say I'm not asked or I
- 1:04:36don't know him, I just. You didn't get a free game.
- 1:04:39Nope, I paid for it. Let's reach out to him.
- 1:04:43Have you won the show? I would, yeah, we could do that.
- 1:04:48I don't know him on he might do it too.
- 1:04:50Why not? Let's ask.
