- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's. Adam here.
- 0:41And you're about to listen to a hypnosis session that was
- 0:45created for a client. That was.
- 0:47On the receiving end of an attempt of cancel culture.
- 0:52In their past. They said something, it was
- 0:55taken out of context. It then went through a process
- 0:58where their whole livelihood was at stake and that was very
- 1:01traumatising for them. I was working with them at a
- 1:05point where. Something else was.
- 1:07Happening that was leading to an element of, let's say
- 1:12investigation. It wasn't as extreme as the
- 1:15past. But because they.
- 1:16Had that past, they were very on edge, very anxious, and they had
- 1:21a presentation to certain key people that they were worried
- 1:25that because of their past, they were going to come across as
- 1:28very defensive or anxious or, you know, kind of on edge and
- 1:32they didn't want to be that way. So this hypnosis session has an
- 1:36element of finding resource states, giving a different
- 1:41perspective and narrative to the past, harnessing resource states
- 1:45from a time when they were very calm and confident and focused
- 1:49and then. Future pacing that.
- 1:51In a form of performance anxiety hypnosis.
- 1:54So they could actually use it in the very context that would be
- 1:57useful, which was this upcoming presentation.
- 2:00Now I think anyone that has been on the receiving end of a bit of
- 2:03a witch hunt will get some value from this because they could
- 2:07think back to the past and extract more wisdom from it,
- 2:09give it a different narrative. But some of the suggestions are
- 2:12going to be highly specific to the client that I was working
- 2:15with. So if you.
- 2:16Are dealing with either performance anxiety for an
- 2:19upcoming presentation or feeling like you're being.
- 2:22Ambushed or there's. Politics going on that you're on
- 2:25the receiving end of. Then there will be a link in the
- 2:28description where you can book a free consultation call to
- 2:32explore working with me directly, and then we can have
- 2:34that conversation about what it would mean to create something
- 2:37specifically for you. For now, though, you might get
- 2:40some value from this session even though it was created for
- 2:43someone else. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 2:46place, ideally in the kind of location where you're not going
- 2:48to be. Disturbed, relax and enjoy the
- 2:51session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 3:14breathe in, breathe in that feeling of resourcefulness and
- 3:20as you exhale, feel the sense of release, releasing any tension
- 3:26in your eyelids and just enabling any tension to leave
- 3:31your body. As you exhale, breathing in,
- 3:36relaxation and exhaling tension. Each breath takes you deeper and
- 3:48deeper, relaxed. That's it.
- 3:51And I want you to scan your body or any clues of tension, stress,
- 3:59any tightness as you breathe in. Just imagine a colour that
- 4:07represents pure resourceful relaxation, maybe a calming blue
- 4:17or a soothing white. And just imagine breathing in
- 4:21that resourceful relaxation. Imagine it going down your
- 4:26windpipe into your lungs. And just imagine what it would
- 4:31be like for your heart to extract that resourceful
- 4:34relaxation and to distribute it to every cell in your body.
- 4:42As you feel your body starting to release tension, as your body
- 4:47relaxes, your breathing slows down, your inward breath becomes
- 4:53deeper, and your exhale is elongated.
- 5:01Breathing in that distilled, resourceful relaxation.
- 5:06And as you exhale, just imagine any echoes of worries, tension,
- 5:14stress or insecurities just leaving your body like a shadow.
- 5:23Breathing in the lightness, darkness leaving your body.
- 5:27Each breath takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed, and as your
- 5:33body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 5:38And just imagine keeping your body exactly where it is and
- 5:44allow your imagination to float up outside of your body, almost
- 5:49like you're looking down on yourself.
- 5:52But it's just your imagination. You can float through ceilings,
- 5:57through a rooftop. Just imagine floating through
- 6:01space and time to a forest on a sunny day.
- 6:09Maybe you can imagine floating over towns, roads, villages,
- 6:16rivers or streams and find your way to that forest.
- 6:22And as you touchdown in the forest, perhaps near a track,
- 6:27just imagine you're wearing whatever clothing is suitable to
- 6:31be there in that forest. And I want you to connect
- 6:36without feeling of stillness, quietness, that ability to
- 6:44breathe in such a way that it's almost silent, like your
- 6:50diaphragm is doing all the work. The breath goes in through your
- 6:54nose and out through your nose, and the world doesn't know.
- 7:02I want you to imagine there in that forest, perhaps you can see
- 7:07sunshine and blue skies through the canopy.
- 7:11Maybe you can imagine hearing the sounds of birds, the breeze
- 7:17going through leaves in the trees.
- 7:21Maybe there's smells that are unique to that forest.
- 7:27But I want you to connect with the stillness that that part of
- 7:35you that knows how to be relaxed and calm, but still very aware.
- 7:48In fact, as your physical body becomes silent, your sensory
- 7:54acuity, your hearing, your attention to detail increases.
- 8:04So if there is a sound of something like a deer, you'll
- 8:08know. And I want you to feel that
- 8:12sense of alignment, connection, where time is distorted.
- 8:18And when you connect to that place, let me know by nodding
- 8:26your head. That's it.
- 8:32Continue to breathe in that distilled, resourceful
- 8:35relaxation. But I want you to imagine
- 8:42somewhere in this forest is a portal.
- 8:49Could think of the portal as a way of migrating through space
- 8:56and time. A portal can be whatever you
- 9:01want it to be, a glowing spiral, a science fiction portal, or a
- 9:09portal like Alice Through the Looking Glass.
- 9:16But I want you to imagine that this portal can take you back in
- 9:21time at your current age, to observe the past with new eyes,
- 9:26new perspective. And the portal will first take
- 9:32you to what could be the most challenging time of your life.
- 9:38Uncertainty, unfairness, politics, agendas.
- 9:47But you will go back feeling resourceful.
- 9:51You will go back feeling confident.
- 9:56And you have a singular mission, and that is to extract all of
- 10:02the wisdom from that past. Imagine approaching the portal,
- 10:10and as I count down from 5 to 1, you will imagine walking through
- 10:15the portal and becoming an invisible entity in that past.
- 10:22You can observe everything but nobody will know you are there.
- 10:275 standing in front of the portal, 4 taking a step forward,
- 10:32three walking through the portal, 2 feeling a weird sense
- 10:39of travel in A4 dimensional way through space and time, and then
- 10:45one arriving at this place in time.
- 10:51And I wonder what part you return to.
- 10:58Maybe a moment before something happens, before words are said,
- 11:05before words are misconstrued or even hijacked.
- 11:12Just observe it as it happens. But like a fly on the wall, an
- 11:19external observer notice things you didn't notice at the time
- 11:28and then almost see like a single domino hitting another,
- 11:33hitting a number, what the chain reaction of that initial event
- 11:37was. You can speed up time.
- 11:45You can see what took place over weeks or months within seconds
- 11:49or minutes. But with this new perspective, I
- 11:55want you to think, knowing what I now know, what would I do
- 12:01differently? And I want you to imagine
- 12:07rewinding it at the very point where words are said.
- 12:12Rewind it before that and extract your current wisdom into
- 12:17that version of you and see what they do differently.
- 12:23Almost like a parallel universe where a new reality is created
- 12:30and then play that forward. See that version of you with
- 12:33your current wisdom, applying it in that context.
- 12:38And if it changes history, creating a new timeline, let me
- 12:41know by nodding your head. That's it.
- 12:47And just allow that parallel universe to exist.
- 12:51We go back to what actually happened, keep what actually
- 12:54happened in the conversation the same, but then observe the point
- 13:01where things get escalated, where the whirring of a machine
- 13:06of cancel culture starts in motion, and just assume you
- 13:12can't change what led up to that point, but you can change it
- 13:17from that point onwards. Observe what happened and then
- 13:27rewind it, maybe to a specific moment where certain wisdom or
- 13:37resources if given to that version of you.
- 13:41Perhaps. Would have still led to the same
- 13:43outcome with less stress, less worry, less anxiety.
- 13:51And when you find that crossroads, that intervention
- 13:56point, let me know by nodding your head.
- 14:02Extract the wisdom you now have to that moment and see that
- 14:06version of you dealing with things differently.
- 14:13The outcome may remain the same, but the emotional impact on you
- 14:18is different. I want you to see yourself with
- 14:25different qualities during that period of time.
- 14:29Maybe you see yourself as more stoic, accepting certain things,
- 14:37See yourself almost utilizing some of the challenges.
- 14:44Maybe it gives you resilience. They say the strongest and
- 14:50tallest trees weather the fiercest storms.
- 14:54And I want you to see that by adding just one quality, one
- 14:59resource, one perspective, that version of you is emboldened,
- 15:06strengthened, empowered through the injustice.
- 15:12You didn't want it, you didn't choose it, you didn't deserve
- 15:15it, but you are harnessing it. And if you can see that version
- 15:21of you harnessing the injustice, the unfairness, let me know
- 15:26about nodding your head. That's it.
- 15:32I want you to get a sense Then. Sometimes past can create a
- 15:43sensitivity, a vigilance, A caution.
- 15:52But what if the anxiety doesn't improve things?
- 15:57What if it makes things worse? I want you to come to a
- 16:02conclusion, A narrative. Not that if that thing happened,
- 16:08Oh no, it's happening again. A different narrative.
- 16:15If I can handle that, I can handle anything.
- 16:20If you feel that you can extract a new empowering narrative to
- 16:25that past event, nod your head and feel that narrative updating
- 16:33from that timeline all the way to the present, rippling through
- 16:39space and time, giving you that strength, that resilience, that
- 16:45wisdom in the present. You are not weakened by that,
- 16:51you are strengthened by it. The strongest steel is beaten
- 16:58the most. I want you to feel stronger now.
- 17:06I want you to imagine leaving. Leaving that moment in time,
- 17:12back through the portal, but instead of returning to your
- 17:16present, you will return to a time when you were at your most
- 17:20confident, calm, focused, or authoritative.
- 17:28A time when you held your own. A time when you articulated
- 17:32things in the way that made sense.
- 17:37No weakness, no defensiveness. Your unconscious will take you
- 17:43to a relevant memory. And as I count, from 5:00 to
- 17:471:00, you will imagine walking through the portal and finding
- 17:51that memory. 5 Standing in front of the portal 4 Willing to leave
- 17:59that past, now with a new strong narrative. 3 Walking through the
- 18:05portal. 2 Feeling a sense of being transported and
- 18:10travelling, and then one arriving again.
- 18:15An invisible entity. Nobody can see you, nobody knows
- 18:19you're there, but you get to see everything.
- 18:24And I want you to see that version of you oozing
- 18:27confidence, a calmness, that level of focus, and that ability
- 18:39to be authoritative without arrogant, to be knowledgeable
- 18:46without demeaning to any others, powerful yet not patronizing.
- 18:53And when you can find that version of you, observe them in
- 19:00that moment, see how they breathe, their facial
- 19:06expressions, their posture. And I want you to play that game
- 19:10of mimicry. Breathe how that version of you
- 19:15is breathing. I have that similar facial
- 19:19expression or posture. That's it.
- 19:24And I want you to imagine seeing a glowing circle beneath them
- 19:34and allow this circle to represent this state.
- 19:39And if your unconscious feels that this state then would be
- 19:42useful for something for you in the future, let me know by
- 19:45nodding your head. That's it.
- 19:49And then step into that version of you feel how it feels.
- 19:55And not to observe, but to experience that confidence, that
- 20:00calmness. Notice your centre of gravity
- 20:06when you feel this way. Are you breathing from the chest
- 20:11or the diaphragm? What muscles are tense and what
- 20:16muscles are relaxed? How tight is your jaw?
- 20:21Is there any in the dialogue? Consider this state a
- 20:28combination log of thoughts, sensations, and Physiology.
- 20:39And as you decode that combination log, let's give it a
- 20:44way of harnessing and automatically creating this
- 20:49state whenever you need it. I want you to locate a place in
- 20:55your body where you feel these resources at their most powerful
- 21:00and just point to that location. That's it.
- 21:10And I want you to imagine what it would be like if there was a
- 21:17shape or a colour there in that location, as we create a
- 21:25mnemonic to harness this whenever you need it, A3
- 21:32dimensional shape in that location, give it a colour and
- 21:38then make the colour glow brighter, make the shape
- 21:41slightly larger and notice if the shape moves, spins,
- 21:47pulsates. And I want you to amplify the
- 21:53colour, the size and the movement so that it amplifies
- 21:57this feeling. But you get diminishing returns.
- 22:03The colour gets too bright, the feeling goes down, the shape
- 22:08gets too big. Instead of enhancing confidence,
- 22:11it reduces it. And I want you to find the
- 22:15optimal size, shape, colour and movement and then give it a
- 22:21sound. Maybe it's a sound, like a
- 22:26vibration of frequency, and just feel that this is a useful
- 22:33state. That glowing circle beneath your
- 22:39feet, Turn it into a cylinder, like a beam surrounding you,
- 22:44bathing in this feeling. And notice that if you need to
- 22:51talk in this state, how articulate, how confident, how
- 22:55measured you come across, if this feels like it might be
- 23:00useful in your future, and let me know by nodding your head,
- 23:05that's in. And whenever you think of that
- 23:09shape in that location, that beam of light in that specific
- 23:14shade of colour, you'll start to feel this way again.
- 23:21So we're going to go through the portal one final time, but this
- 23:26time the future, a specific time and place in your future where
- 23:34this resource would be most useful for you to come across in
- 23:39the way that you wish to come across.
- 23:43Maybe it's a room with a table, with a projector and with a
- 23:48screen, or maybe something else. Make your way to the portal, but
- 23:57still keeping this feeling you're having that beam of light
- 24:04all around you, and as you walk through the portal you will find
- 24:10yourself again as that invisible observer to a meeting. 5
- 24:19standing in front of the portal. 4 stepping towards the portal. 3
- 24:24into the portal. 2 Feel travelling through space and
- 24:31time and then one arriving in a future that hasn't happened yet.
- 24:38I want you to see yourself arriving for a meeting.
- 24:42See how you're dressed, see how your posture is.
- 24:48But you notice something that gives you a sense of a
- 24:53perspective, that this version of you is calm and relaxed.
- 24:58Maybe it's the way that you're sitting, the way that you're
- 25:02drinking, maybe a glass of water or a hot drink.
- 25:12Certain mannerisms let you know that you are not fazed by this.
- 25:18You relish this Nothing. Can break your.
- 25:24Focus or you're calm. Maybe see yourself at a table
- 25:31close to a laptop, but that version of you.
- 25:35See that glowing circle beneath your feet?
- 25:40See a shape in a particular location, almost like you have
- 25:44X-ray vision. See it there in you and there
- 25:51might be clues as to your facial expression.
- 25:55Small talk, a relaxed smile before your presentation starts.
- 26:00But when it starts, I want you to see see how composed you come
- 26:07across. There will be clues to your
- 26:14breathing rate based on shoulder movements, maybe your diaphragm
- 26:20expanding. That version of you reads the
- 26:25room. Well, that version of you has a
- 26:29singular mission and that mission is not to seek
- 26:33permission or even approval. Maybe it's to educate, Maybe
- 26:42it's to share knowledge. Whatever mission is most
- 26:46empowering. See that version of you with
- 26:48that singular mission. And you are not the imposter in
- 26:54the room. You are the one eyed king
- 27:01because in the Kingdom of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
- 27:06That version of you has more knowledge, more understanding on
- 27:12that topic than anyone else in that room.
- 27:18And see yourself acting with that level of credibility and
- 27:23authority. Slow and measured.
- 27:30There is no tonality that is seeking permission or approval.
- 27:35Factual, articulate, confident. And I want you to see that it
- 27:45doesn't matter the facial expressions or body language of
- 27:51anyone else in that room. Arms crossed?
- 27:59Doesn't matter. Disinterested look doesn't
- 28:04matter. Nothing that can happen in that
- 28:07room can faze you. And when you observe that, let
- 28:13me know by nodding your head and then rewind it to the beginning
- 28:19and then step into that version of you, bringing those resources
- 28:24of confidence, calmness, focus and authority, oozing
- 28:29credibility. You can feel that beam of light
- 28:36bathing all around you. That sound, that colour, that
- 28:42shape, that movement lets you know that you are in a state
- 28:48where you are unflappable. Nothing can phase you.
- 28:54You relish this, you live for this.
- 28:58And when you feel that way, just imagine.
- 29:03The right words come at the right time.
- 29:08Your tonality's strong and confident.
- 29:13You run through your presentation exactly as you
- 29:16intend to, and any questions you deal with them in a calm, clear,
- 29:25confident way. Don't.
- 29:31You feel that? This would be useful and you
- 29:35feel that you're priming the very normal pathways to activate
- 29:38this state in that context. Let me know by nodding your
- 29:42head, and don't be surprised if when you think of that future
- 29:51moment, you imagine that version of you either as a third person
- 29:57or first person, there, relishing it, not fazed by it,
- 30:04not daunted by it. Consider this to be planting a
- 30:14seed in your subconscious mind. It will grow the closer it gets
- 30:19to that moment in time. And as the day arrives, this is
- 30:24the state you will activate. And just imagine being in that
- 30:31first person perspective, hearing dismissive questions,
- 30:44seeing unimpressed facial expressions or arms folded.
- 30:52And I want you to get a sense that all it does is galvanized
- 30:55your resources, encourages you to be even more calm and
- 31:01confident. It's time to leave this place.
- 31:07And as you leave this place, you go through the portal and find
- 31:14yourself hovering over your body, looking down exactly where
- 31:19you are now. As very soon I count from 1:00
- 31:23to 10:00 to awaken you. And you will awaken with all the
- 31:29wisdom from your past and all the resources in your future.
- 31:34Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 31:40nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 31:44wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 31:47here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 31:52you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 31:58456, more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 32:02Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 32:07awake. Thank you so much for joining me
