- 0:00Psalm 11 from the book of Psalms.
- 0:03First let's pray. Dear Lord, please let our minds
- 0:07and our ears and our hearts be opened to what you have to say
- 0:11through David. We ask this in Jesus name.
- 0:15So this is for the director of music of David in the Lord I
- 0:21take refuge. How then can you say to me, Flee
- 0:24like a bird to your mountain? For look the wicked bend their
- 0:28bows. They set their arrows against
- 0:31the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
- 0:35When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the
- 0:38righteous do? The Lord is in his holy temple.
- 0:42The Lord is in is on his heavenly throne.
- 0:46He observes everyone on earth. His eyes examine them.
- 0:51The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love
- 0:55violence he hates with a passion.
- 0:58On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulphur.
- 1:02A scorching wind will be their lot.
- 1:06For the Lord is righteous. He loves justice.
- 1:10The upright will see his face. And that's the end of Psalm 11.
- 1:15There's a couple few questions and answers.
- 1:17So I will well before I do that, when I looked through this, I'm
- 1:22just going to, as I mentioned, every time there's Lord or God,
- 1:25I want to know the actual word in Hebrew that's being used.
- 1:31And throughout this Psalm, it was Yehova, which is God the
- 1:36Father. So Yehova was being referenced
- 1:39in all of these for the Lord and David's, you know, talking about
- 1:43evil attacking evil attacks, God's seeing it all and God will
- 1:48eventually provide justice. And so there's a few different
- 1:52things that the study Bible references.
- 1:56Who advised David to flee because he said flee like a bird
- 1:59to your mountain. And a lot of times mountains in
- 2:02the, in the Bible and prophecy, they either refer to literal, a
- 2:08literal mountain, or sometimes they refer to like a place of
- 2:12strength, like a, a power or some, you know, like, like he's
- 2:20on a high mountain top, like the Lord, a place of power, I guess.
- 2:25And so it's like flee, like a bird, go to your mountain, like
- 2:28fly away. And like the mountain is the
- 2:32refuge, like the Lord is our refuge.
- 2:35And so that's kind of interesting that he chose that.
- 2:42Anyway, it says who advised David to flee.
- 2:46We don't know who gave this advice to David or why it was
- 2:49given. There were times David did flee
- 2:51like a bird from Saul and later from his own son, Absalom.
- 2:57In this case, however, it seems David was rejecting advice to
- 3:02flee because he was determined to trust in God, no matter how
- 3:06risky his adversaries thought things were or, I'm sorry, no
- 3:13matter how risky his advisors thought things were.
- 3:19So what foundations were being destroyed?
- 3:22The moral foundations of a society based on God's law.
- 3:26Some feared that increasing rebellion and the growing
- 3:30aggressiveness of the wicked threatened those foundations.
- 3:34This powerful increase of evil made the righteous fear that
- 3:38they could no longer count on society in which good triumphed
- 3:42over evil. It's kind of interesting because
- 3:45David's time was, you know, thousands of years ago and, and
- 3:50we can still, you know, we could say this applies today too, or,
- 3:54you know, yesterday or a few years ago or something.
- 3:56Like it's just as current today as it was back then.
- 4:00And that's just really interesting to think about that
- 4:03times really haven't changed like the things that David was
- 4:06experiencing or the things that we experienced today.
- 4:10So it then it says, why does or what does fiery coals and
- 4:15burning sulfur refer to? This could refer to one, God's
- 4:19destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis chapter 19
- 4:24or two, God's coming judgment on the whole world and or 3A desert
- 4:29dwellers worst nightmare of punishment.
- 4:33So I did reference those scriptures and I'll just read
- 4:37that what they were what they were referencing.
- 4:40I looked up so Genesis 1914. This is about Sodom and
- 4:44Gomorrah. It said then the Lord rained
- 4:46down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Lord out of
- 4:51the heavens. So this is when he destroyed
- 4:55there were just none that were righteous and there were a lot
- 4:57of prayers going to God and he sent angels to see if this
- 5:02wasn't true. This was in fact the case that
- 5:05this was, you know, just to see it.
- 5:08And also I think perhaps Jesus came there because there were
- 5:14three angels that visited. That's a whole nother.
- 5:16I won't go into that. I probably could because this is
- 5:19a short podcast, but I don't want to get too far off the path
- 5:21on this one. But it's very interesting when
- 5:24you really examine was there were three who visited the first
- 5:27time and then two that visit the the next time.
- 5:30Just look in detail. I guess it's on Genesis chapter
- 5:3419 to to read about that and probably the preceding chapter
- 5:4118. Yes, because that chapter 18
- 5:44talks about the three visitors and then chapter 19 talks about
- 5:48the 2 angels coming back and Sodom and Gomorrah getting
- 5:51destroyed. So then let's jump to the other
- 5:54place where burning sulfur is used.
- 5:56And this is in God's wrath at the end.
- 5:59And it says in Revelation 1410, it says they too will drink the
- 6:05wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into
- 6:11the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with
- 6:16burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the
- 6:20Lamb. The Lamb is symbolic of Jesus.
- 6:24And so this is really interesting because this is a
- 6:29future I'm going to read first, the preceding verse 9.
- 6:34A third Angel followed them and said in a loud voice.
- 6:39If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark
- 6:47on their forehead or on their hand, that's that mark of the
- 6:51beast. The beast is symbolic of a
- 6:56global governance something. So it's, it's probably humans
- 7:03empowered by Satan because it says the dragon gives them the
- 7:09power. And so the dragon is symbolic of
- 7:11Satan and the beast that rises up out of the sea.
- 7:14The sea is symbolic of people, lots of people.
- 7:17So these are human beings or this group or entity.
- 7:21I think there are maybe 10 or there's there's 10, but then
- 7:24three of them are removed by 1 and they become seven.
- 7:28So, and it's a, it's a grouping of seven, seven of seven
- 7:33something, 7 powers that come together that end up ruling over
- 7:39the whole earth. This is at the very end and the
- 7:43end of the age before Jesus rules.
- 7:46And then they will, because they will be successful in conquering
- 7:53everything. People will begin to worship
- 7:57them because like who can come against them?
- 7:59They are just like so powerful. But in order to transact
- 8:04business, it says like no one will be able to buy or sell
- 8:07unless they get a mark on their hands or on their forehead.
- 8:11So this is something that the it's actually a false, it says
- 8:15the false prophet who is the 2nd beast.
- 8:18I'm getting into a lot more, but I think it's good to talk about
- 8:21this. So there is someone who is going
- 8:23to be, he's going to look religious, but he's going to
- 8:27speak like the enemy. So he's going to, he's going to
- 8:31look like someone holy, but he's actually going to be speaking
- 8:34words of the enemy. So this is what like kind of the
- 8:37false prophet, maybe the false Messiah.
- 8:39I don't know what it is, but that's the one who's going to
- 8:43force people to take the mark, this religious figure.
- 8:46But he's going to be working in tandem with this seven, this
- 8:51group of seven who is, you know, looking to conquer the world.
- 8:57And they're doing evil. And this is at the end.
- 8:59And they are going to force people to get a mark in their
- 9:02hand or in their forehead. And that's really kind of
- 9:04interesting today since people are getting chips in their hands
- 9:08where they can control things. They're getting these little,
- 9:11you know, they're not really, it's like the size of a piece of
- 9:14grain of rice that I think Sweden is doing this already.
- 9:18If you want to search it on YouTube or something, you can
- 9:21find people who are actually doing this that are getting that
- 9:25in and you can unlock things. I mean, it does all of these,
- 9:28you know, computer or technological advances where you
- 9:33don't have to carry things with you.
- 9:35And so for convenience, you know, people can do these kinds
- 9:38of things. Is that the actual mark?
- 9:41It's not really the IT, it isn't the mark because this is about
- 9:46worshipping something, but it's showing that we have the
- 9:49technology that that can happen today.
- 9:52So, and we, we think about all the things that are being
- 9:55discussed in the world right now about currency and whether whose
- 10:00money we use and all these variances of different ways to
- 10:04transact business and use different systems for business
- 10:09and all these different alliances like bricks and then
- 10:13the United States dollar and all of that that's happening in the
- 10:16world. This certainly seems like it
- 10:20could be the preceding thing that happens where people decide
- 10:24we need to get something that is globally accepted and and then,
- 10:29you know, we need everybody to get this mark or this.
- 10:34Yeah, this, this mark of whatever it is so that you can
- 10:37transact because it says in the Bible you will not be able to
- 10:40buy or sell without it. So you won't be able to do
- 10:43transact at all unless you have this and the Bible four tells
- 10:48this and tells us this is coming.
- 10:51We don't know when it is. It has not been rolled out yet.
- 10:54But there are people who are familiar with the Bible that are
- 10:57saying, gosh, it looks like we're very close to this
- 11:00happening. So it's something to keep your
- 11:02eyes open with. And especially now when we read
- 11:04this Revelation chapter 14 where it says anybody who does get
- 11:08that in their hand, there's a couple things that you really
- 11:11need to know about that they're going to get wrath.
- 11:14But the one thing, the other thing that's even, I don't know
- 11:18if it's even greater than this or not.
- 11:20Well, I think it is because you cannot repent from that.
- 11:25Like once you do that, you've basically allied yourself with
- 11:29God's enemy. So everybody needs to know about
- 11:33this, like at, you know, even if it means you're, I mean, this is
- 11:37where faith comes in because you really have to believe what
- 11:39you're reading in the Bible because, you know, a regular
- 11:43person who didn't believe this is not going to be willing to do
- 11:46this. But according to the Bible,
- 11:49you'd be better to, you know, give your life up for this.
- 11:55Do not take it even if it means that you will be killed.
- 11:59And if you believe in Jesus and you have you have the Holy
- 12:05Spirit, you don't have to worry because the way the Bible says
- 12:09it is more or less going to sleep and then we awaken in the
- 12:15presence of God. When you have the Holy Spirit,
- 12:17that's what happens to a person. So if if you truly believe what
- 12:23is written in the Bible, then you will not at any cost take
- 12:29this mark that the Bible tells us the prophets of a long time
- 12:34ago. This was written by John.
- 12:35It was through a vision that he had when Jesus came to visit him
- 12:38on an island of Patmos. John was one of the 12 disciples
- 12:42that was with Jesus and knew Jesus and he had this revelation
- 12:49when he was on the island of Patmos and wrote this.
- 12:53So we've had this for, you know, thousands of years, this
- 12:56information and this prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled.
- 13:00But this is all Scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit is
- 13:05all God breathed. And so this will come to pass
- 13:10someday. We have, you know, most people
- 13:13who are familiar with the Bible are watching for this just
- 13:16because of the technology that exists today and all of the AI
- 13:21that's happening, that it could be very close, but we really
- 13:24don't know. But you really have to pay
- 13:26attention to it and don't be ignorant of it and let it come
- 13:29upon you like a surprise because it's all easily done at this
- 13:36point. We aren't there yet, but but
- 13:38keep your eyes open for it. So I did want to just mention
- 13:42that and I probably went too far down that path, but let's go
- 13:46back to the last sentence or verse in Psalm 11.
- 13:51It says for the Lord is righteous.
- 13:53He loves justice. The upright will see his face.
- 13:58And I thought this was interesting because as I was
- 14:00reading through the Bible, no one sees the face of the Lord.
- 14:05In fact, when they think they've seen the face of the Lord, they
- 14:10say we are going to die. And even Isaiah, when he was in
- 14:15the presence of the Lord, I think he says, you know, like he
- 14:18can't do that because he's a man of unclean lips or something.
- 14:22And then an Angel comes and takes a coal and burns his lips
- 14:25or, you know, puts a coal to his lips and then cleanses him like
- 14:29there's a burning. I think, you know, that's like
- 14:31symbolic and but there is it's a purification is what that was
- 14:38representing that the he was being purified by that.
- 14:42And there is a purification by fire through fire.
- 14:45And that's like through trials and tribulations that we'll have
- 14:50when we come under fire, when we're tested, but maybe by the
- 14:54enemy, when we we are put to the test and the enemy comes against
- 14:58us. That is also how our faith
- 15:00grows. But going back to no one seeing
- 15:05God, this is what is very interesting.
- 15:09There are 4 references to it, one in Isaiah and then through
- 15:173IN John. Well two of them in the book in
- 15:20the Gospel of John and one in first John chapter 4.
- 15:24So I'm going to read those. Isaiah 64 four says since
- 15:30ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has
- 15:36seen. Got any God?
- 15:39Oh, it says besides you who acts on behalf of those who wait for
- 15:44him. But then Jesus says, which that
- 15:48also makes me wonder anytime that someone has seen God, was
- 15:53that actually Jesus that who they seen because it was Moses
- 15:59in the burning Bush. And I know I've said this before
- 16:02another podcast where it says an Angel of God, but then in the
- 16:08way that he speaks to Moses and he says I am, I am, who am I
- 16:15believe that was Jesus. It's just that Jesus's time had
- 16:19not come to where he was being revealed, but he was the Lord.
- 16:24He was revealing himself as the Lord, as as God, as Elohim.
- 16:31But because I and then there was that I'm just recently I've said
- 16:37this in my podcast, but it was Samson, I think, where they an
- 16:44Angel of the Lord or a messenger.
- 16:47So when it says Angel, it also means messenger of God came and
- 16:53visited them. And then they said they thought
- 16:56they were going to die because they had seen the Lord.
- 16:59And when they asked the messenger of God who what his
- 17:05name was, he replied something to the effect of my name is
- 17:10incomprehensible, like I can't tell you can't understand what
- 17:14my name is. And did he, I'm speculating
- 17:18here. This isn't like a fact or
- 17:20anything. But did he respond that way
- 17:23because he was actually, you know, it was actually Yeshua,
- 17:26but he had not been made known yet.
- 17:29And people, you know, that's just something that crossed my
- 17:33mind, just something to look at more So Jesus actually says,
- 17:38let's go back to the here. I get sidetracked a lot.
- 17:40John chapter one verse 18. No one has ever seen God, but
- 17:46the one and only Son who is himself God and is in closest
- 17:54relationship with the Father has made him known.
- 17:58When I said Jesus said that I was this was I shouldn't have
- 18:04said Jesus said this, this was John writing this and he was
- 18:07explaining about Jesus. And so he, John, is the one who
- 18:12said no one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son who is
- 18:17himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father has
- 18:24made him known. And then he repeats it again in
- 18:29chapter 6 verse 46. No one has seen the Father
- 18:34except the one who is from God. Only he has seen the Father.
- 18:40That's referring to Jesus. And then in first John chapter 4
- 18:44verse 12, he says no one has ever seen God.
- 18:49But if we love one another, God lives in US and his love is made
- 18:54complete in US. So I thought there was another
- 18:59time where Jesus had, oh, I think it was, I didn't look this
- 19:03up, but it was he. Jesus says something like, if
- 19:07you've seen me, you've seen the Father, something to that effect
- 19:13where Jesus was saying, oh gosh, image of the Father, image of
- 19:22the Father. I can't remember the actual
- 19:24words, but it was something. Let's see, there did there did
- 19:30come. No, it's not like there's
- 19:37something to that. I wish I would have looked this
- 19:39up ahead of time, but it just came to mind.
- 19:41Right now, no one has seen the father.
- 19:50I'm going to look that up and see if there's something that
- 19:52says that. No, it's John 118 says no one
- 19:58has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son who is the
- 20:02bosom of the Father, He has declared him.
- 20:14So I, I don't know where that verse is, but it, it says
- 20:18something to the fact like if you've seen me, you've seen the
- 20:20Father. Or he is a reflection of the
- 20:30Father, I don't know. Anyway, OK, here it is.
- 20:41OK, here it is. It takes me a while to find
- 20:44these things because I don't have scripture memorized and
- 20:46there's so many versions. But John 14 verse 9 says Jesus
- 20:51answered. Don't you know me, Philip?
- 20:54Even after I have been among you such a long time, Anyone who has
- 20:59seen me has seen the Father. How can you say show us the
- 21:06Father? So this is where Jesus was
- 21:09talking to one of the disciples and just saying, you know, if
- 21:11you've seen me, you've seen the Father.
- 21:14And I think there's more also that say this, that Jesus says
- 21:19this similar thing in another scripture I was looking to see.
- 21:24It doesn't really show other verses that say that because
- 21:29Philip had said, Lord show us the Father and that will be
- 21:31enough for us and he. Let's see, I'll just read this
- 21:40section. Jesus the way to the Father.
- 21:42Thomas said to him, Lord, we don't know where you are going,
- 21:45so how can we know the way? This is John chapter 14 verse 5.
- 21:49Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life.
- 21:53No one comes to the Father except through me.
- 21:57If you really know me, you will know my Father as well from now
- 22:03on. You do know Him and have seen
- 22:06him, Philip said. Lord, show us the Father and
- 22:11that will be enough for us. Jesus answered.
- 22:14Don't you know me, Philip? Even after I have been among you
- 22:17such a long time, anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
- 22:22How can you say show us the Father?
- 22:25Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in
- 22:30me? The words I say to you, I do not
- 22:33speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father living
- 22:38in me who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am
- 22:44in the Father and the Father is in me.
- 22:47Or at least believe on the evidence of the works
- 22:50themselves. Truly, very truly I tell you,
- 22:53whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing and
- 22:58they will do even greater things than these because I am going to
- 23:02the Father and I will do whatever you ask in my name so
- 23:07that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- 23:11You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.
- 23:16Now this is about the Holy Spirit too, and I just want to
- 23:19read more. If you love me, keep my
- 23:22commands. I talk about this all the time.
- 23:25So when we obey God, it's if you love me, keep my commands.
- 23:31We're just showing love to God when we are obedient.
- 23:35So then he says, and I will ask the Father and he will give you
- 23:41another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- 23:46So this is really interesting because it's right after he says
- 23:50if you love me, keep my commands and I will ask the Father and he
- 23:55will give you another advocate to help you and be with you
- 23:58forever. The spirit of truth.
- 24:01The world cannot accept Him because it neither sees Him nor
- 24:05knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives
- 24:08with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans.
- 24:15I will come to you. Before long the world will not
- 24:18see me anymore. But you will see me because I
- 24:22live. You will also live.
- 24:25On that day you will realize that I am in the Father and you
- 24:30are in me and I am in You. Whoever has my commands and
- 24:35keeps them is the one who loves me.
- 24:38Here again, this is obedience. Whoever has my commands and
- 24:42keeps them is the one who loves me.
- 24:46The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too
- 24:52will love them and show myself to them.
- 24:56Then Judas, not Judas, Iscariot said.
- 24:59But Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to
- 25:03the world? Jesus replied.
- 25:05Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.
- 25:10My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our
- 25:15home with them. Anyone who does not love me will
- 25:19not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my
- 25:23own. They belong to the Father who
- 25:25sent me. So I don't know how anyone can
- 25:27get away from obedience here with God, Jesus's own words, the
- 25:32Son of God's own word, saying that the only reason why we
- 25:36should obey is because we love him.
- 25:39And if we don't obey, that means we don't love him.
- 25:42It's just very clear. So that's the way we can look at
- 25:46things. When we choose to be rebellious,
- 25:47we're just saying I don't love you God.
- 25:49And when we choose to obey him, that's when we're saying I love
- 25:52you God. Then he continues.
- 25:55All this I have spoken while still with you, but the
- 25:59Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
- 26:05will teach you all these things and will remind you of
- 26:09everything I have said to you. I think this is interesting to
- 26:12just, you know, reflect on the Advocate comma, the Holy Spirit
- 26:17comma whom the Father will send in my name.
- 26:20So the Holy Spirit comes from, this is where I talk about the
- 26:23Holy Spirit coming from the Father, but it's through Jesus.
- 26:26So it says the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name.
- 26:32So that's through Jesus. This is why we don't have to.
- 26:36If we have the Holy Spirit, we don't have to worry about our
- 26:39words or what we're going to say or how we're going to do it.
- 26:42If we get a message from God or if we are told by God to do
- 26:45something or we have this impression that, you know, it
- 26:48lines up with Scripture. We can't, we have to make sure
- 26:50it's not an enemy giving us an impression.
- 26:53But if it lines up with Scripture and it's, you know,
- 26:56confirmed in various ways. So the Holy Spirit, if we know
- 27:00we have the Holy Spirit and we have the fruit of the Spirit,
- 27:02that's in Galatians chapter 5, you can see what the fruits of
- 27:06the spirits are. And then there's also the gifts
- 27:10of the Holy Spirit, which are different, but that's another
- 27:14way of knowing whether or not you have the Holy Spirit.
- 27:17So you can probably look up gifts of the Spirit because I
- 27:20can't remember what book or chapter it's in.
- 27:24But anyway, when you have the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit
- 27:28will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I
- 27:33have said to you. So if we're in Scripture, it the
- 27:37Bible says that Scripture is all God breathed.
- 27:40And it's like through the Holy Spirit, through the inspiration
- 27:43of God's Spirit that these authors wrote what is in this
- 27:46Bible. So when we're reading it, it's
- 27:50it's getting into our, our brain, into our thoughts.
- 27:53And the Holy Spirit will remind us of those, those verses, those
- 27:59things. So when Scripture comes to mind,
- 28:02that could very well be the Holy Spirit prompting us in that way.
- 28:06And it's all through scripture and and it's clearly says in
- 28:11scripture the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and will
- 28:14remind you of everything I have said to you.
- 28:17So when we all of a sudden remember a scripture that fits a
- 28:21certain situation in our life, it's probably the Holy Spirit
- 28:24reminding us and we just don't realize it because we don't see
- 28:28the Holy Spirit and it's just through our thoughts.
- 28:31And that's probably why, you know, the Holy Spirit resides in
- 28:34us when we are a believer. And when we have determined that
- 28:39we want to obey God and we're not rebelling against him.
- 28:42We've repented of our sins and we've we've come to God and
- 28:46we've basically said, you know, I don't want my old life
- 28:48anymore. I want to be changed.
- 28:50And the only way we can change is we don't have to clean up our
- 28:53act first. God just takes us in.
- 28:55He thank God, he's merciful and he takes us in and our current
- 28:59current condition, whatever we're in, but he doesn't leave
- 29:03us that way. Then he starts changing us by
- 29:05the Holy Spirit when he knows we are sincere and what we're
- 29:09saying to him. We're not just, you know, doing
- 29:12it for show or I don't know, for whatever reason it would someone
- 29:17would have, but when we really, truly just want to end our
- 29:21rebellious ways and turn to God and get right with God, get our
- 29:26relationship right with God, when we really want that and God
- 29:30knows it, that's what he's going to send.
- 29:32I mean, that's apparently when he sends the Holy Spirit,
- 29:36because the Holy Spirit has come to people sometimes before they
- 29:41get baptized, sometimes when they get baptized, and sometimes
- 29:46after they get baptized. So it's up to God when he
- 29:50decides to send the Holy Spirit, but it doesn't happen at a
- 29:56specific time. But I think it depends on our
- 30:00heart. If our heart is what the Bible
- 30:03refers to as a circumcised heart where we're cutting out of like
- 30:08the sin, the separation. We are, you know, drawing close
- 30:13to God and we want to be reconciled with them.
- 30:17When that happens, that's when I believe because I think that's
- 30:21when we truly are saved. When we have the Holy Spirit,
- 30:25that is the, the time of salvation.
- 30:28And so knowing if you have the Holy Spirit is really important
- 30:32because, and Jesus himself said it, he, he said, you know, no
- 30:37one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born again, born
- 30:41of the Spirit. That's in John chapter 3.
- 30:44So for Jesus himself to say that, that's pretty impactful.
- 30:50So the Holy Spirit is, is a, is the person of God, the Spirit of
- 30:55God that we need to know about and we learn about it through
- 31:00the Bible. So anyway, I'll just finish out
- 31:03this chapter. Jesus says, peace, I leave with
- 31:06you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the
- 31:09world does. Do not let your hearts be
- 31:12troubled and do not be afraid. You heard me say I am going away
- 31:17and I am coming back to you. If you loved me, you would be
- 31:21glad that I'm going to the Father, for the Father is
- 31:25greater than I. I have told you now before it
- 31:29happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe I will
- 31:35not say much more to you, for the of this world is coming.
- 31:41I believe that's referring to Satan.
- 31:43He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may
- 31:49learn that I love the Father and I do exactly what my Father has
- 31:54commanded me. Come now, let us leave.
- 31:58And that's the end of the chapter.
- 32:00Really interesting chapter. But going back to, you know, no
- 32:05one has seen the face of the Father except the Son.
- 32:10And let's see first John chapter one, verse 2, the life appeared.
- 32:18We have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the
- 32:22eternal life which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
- 32:29This is referring about Jesus that they they were witnesses to
- 32:34Jesus and that he and the father are one.
- 32:37They're united as one. There's a special prayer that I
- 32:41do talk about a lot and I have not looked this one up too, and
- 32:46I'm going to see if I can find that.
- 32:47I think it says something like one as we are one that he prays
- 32:52for all of us. I hope that I can find it.
- 32:55Yes, OK, this is this is just such a beautiful prayer from
- 33:01Jesus. He says it twice.
- 33:04This is before he he dies on there he goes to the this is
- 33:08before he goes to the cross and he John 17 verse 11 says I will
- 33:14remain in the world no longer but they referring to his
- 33:19disciples or the believers, his followers, but they are still in
- 33:24the world and I am coming to you Holy Father, protect them by the
- 33:31power of your name, the name you gave me so that they may be one
- 33:39as we are 1 isn't that interesting like Jesus's prayer
- 33:45is for disciples to be one with him and the Father as he is one
- 33:50with the father that you know. I guess that's where the Holy
- 33:54Spirit is that deposit. But when we become perfected and
- 34:00changed from mortal to immortal people, beings, then when Jesus
- 34:07returns, that's when that happens.
- 34:09At the resurrection, that is when we will experience that
- 34:15oneness with the Father. And he also says John 17 verse
- 34:1922. I have given the I have given
- 34:22them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are
- 34:28one. I mean, that is the most
- 34:30beautiful prayer that he has. Jesus and the Father share this
- 34:34relationship that is just unknown to anyone, but it's so
- 34:41good and they are so much in unison.
- 34:46One in I, I always think of it as being one in spirit.
- 34:50It's just like a husband and wife, the 2 become one.
- 34:54So I think it's something like like that.
- 34:56Like there is a spiritual connection between people in
- 35:00the, in the physical sense. When that happens, I think in
- 35:02the spiritual realm that also happens and and that's what you
- 35:06know, that's human beings coming together like husband and wife,
- 35:10but in a spiritual sense with, with the Father and Jesus the
- 35:15Son. Someday, you know, we we would
- 35:19receive the Holy Spirit as the deposit.
- 35:22So we have a portion of it. It's a deposit.
- 35:25It's not the whole thing. It's not the whole being, the
- 35:29whole experience, I guess, but someday when we are immortal,
- 35:34when we've been purified and we've been changed to immortal,
- 35:37is when we will actually experience what it's truly like
- 35:42to be one with the Father and the way Jesus was.
- 35:46Because that's what he prayed for us.
- 35:47And I mean, that's just so loving and kind to pray for all
- 35:52of us that we can have that same experience that he has with the
- 35:56Father. It's just amazing.
- 35:58Like I'm so thankful for God, but anyway that I don't know if
- 36:04I read the last one too. In 1 John chapter one verse 3,
- 36:09it says we proclaim to you that we have seen and heard so that
- 36:12you also may have fellowship with us and our fellowship is
- 36:17with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
- 36:22So just it's, there's just so much to be looking forward to,
- 36:27no matter how dark our days may get.
- 36:30If we just know what's in Scripture and we know know the
- 36:35truth that we find through Scripture.
- 36:38There's a lot to look forward to and that special day, who knows,
- 36:43maybe it's coming soon, but if it's coming soon, we all want to
- 36:47be reconciled with God and not receive the wrath that was kind
- 36:50of talked about here where it was that, you know, the Book of
- 36:57Revelation where the sulfur, the burning sulfur and all of that.
- 37:00So we don't want that side of it all.
- 37:02Anyway, I'm going to wrap this up now and I hope you, if this,
- 37:06I hope you enjoyed this. If it's been an interesting
- 37:09podcast for you, please share with other people.
- 37:11If you're not subscribed and would like to, I try to do a
- 37:14chapter a day, then please subscribe.
- 37:17Thank you.
