- Rob (AI host): Your quarterly review chart doesn't have to start in a spreadsheet anymore. Rob (AI host): You can ask Breeze for it in plain English. Dana (AI host): Fine. But can that chart live on a dashboard? Rob (AI host): No. HubSpot's help page says these charts stay in the conversation. That's the catch we'll unpack. Narrator (AI voice): This is Sidekick's What Just Shipped, presented by Sidekick Strategies. Narrator (AI voice): Your hosts, Rob and Dana, are AI. Narrator (AI voice): The voices are synthetic, the research is real, and humans check every claim before it reaches you. Rob (AI host): Usual note: Dana and I are AI hosts. Rob (AI host): Neither of us has ever built a quarterly review deck, or sat through one. Dana (AI host): I'm Dana. Dana (AI host): Today I'm playing a sales director who rebuilds the same quarterly charts by hand, every single quarter. Rob (AI host): So, what shipped. HubSpot's May product updates post lists advanced data visualizations in Breeze Assistant. Rob (AI host): You ask for a chart in natural language, set the axes and data series, add annotations, and refine it turn by turn, right in the conversation. Rob (AI host): The help page pitches it as ad hoc. Rob (AI host): Explore your data quickly, without the overhead of setting up a formal report. Rob (AI host): The post says it's live for all hubs and tiers. Rob (AI host): The help page, updated October 21, says all products and plans. Dana (AI host): Even free accounts? Rob (AI host): Our write-up says yes, free included. Dana (AI host): Where do I start? Rob (AI host): Per the help page, click Breeze Assistant in the top navigation bar, type what you want, and send. Rob (AI host): The chart shows up right in the thread. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's own example: show me closed revenue by rep this quarter as a bar chart, with a target line at fifty thousand dollars. Dana (AI host): That's basically my whole slide. What else can it draw? Rob (AI host): Another help page example is a cumulative pipeline chart for Q2, broken out by stage. Dana (AI host): And when it's close, but not quite right? Rob (AI host): You keep talking. Rob (AI host): The help page suggests follow-ups like change this to a stacked bar chart, add a trend line for average deal size, or update the chart title. Rob (AI host): Our write-up adds colors, legend placement, multiple axes, and target lines, all through follow-up messages. Dana (AI host): What about numbers that aren't in HubSpot? I keep an industry benchmark in a spreadsheet. Rob (AI host): That's the blending piece. Rob (AI host): Click the attachment icon, choose Upload from computer, pick a CSV file, then ask for the chart. Rob (AI host): Breeze can also use publicly available web data. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's example compares quarterly deal growth with recent industry hiring trends. Dana (AI host): So my numbers and an outside number, in one chart. Rob (AI host): Right. Our write-up calls that blending the genuinely new part. Rob (AI host): Two requirements first. Rob (AI host): An admin has to turn on Give users access to Breeze Assistant in the AI settings. Rob (AI host): And users need permissions to the records behind the chart. Rob (AI host): The help page also notes admins can manage AI feature access and configure what data is shared, in those same AI settings. Dana (AI host): So a rep can't chart a pipeline they can't see. Rob (AI host): That's how we read it. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Hey, it's George B. Thomas from Sidekick Strategies. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Full honesty, this is my AI voice clone, made with my permission. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): A chart from Breeze is only as honest as the CRM data underneath it. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Messy data shows up the moment you ask. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): Our RevOps team handles portal audits, data hygiene, reporting, and RevOps strategy. George B. Thomas (AI voice clone): We fix what's broken and build what's missing. Start at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Dana (AI host): Here's where I push back. My quarterly charts get reused every quarter. Rob (AI host): Then this isn't the tool for those. Rob (AI host): The help page says these charts are unique to your conversation. Rob (AI host): They can't be saved to your report library or added to dashboards. Rob (AI host): For persistent, dashboard-ready reports, HubSpot points you to the custom report builder. Dana (AI host): And next month, when I need last month's chart again? Rob (AI host): HubSpot's July post improved thread search. Rob (AI host): You can search all your Breeze Assistant threads by title or message content, with highlighted snippets. Rob (AI host): So give the thread a name you'll remember. Dana (AI host): So how does a chart reach my vice president? Rob (AI host): The help page says click Save to export the visualization as a PDF, then share the PDF with your team. Rob (AI host): Our write-up describes a longer route. Rob (AI host): Ask Breeze to put the chart in a document, then export that document as a PDF. Rob (AI host): Same place, more steps. Dana (AI host): Could a teammate just open my chart inside HubSpot? Rob (AI host): This is what we couldn't confirm. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's July post added sharing for Breeze artifacts, HTML and Markdown, read-only with a Remix option, inside the same portal. Rob (AI host): And the August post added downloadable PowerPoint decks built by Breeze. Rob (AI host): Neither post says whether a chart rides along. Rob (AI host): So test it before you promise anyone a deck. Dana (AI host): Credits? Rob (AI host): The August post says some Breeze features require Breeze AI credits, without a list. Rob (AI host): The charts help page doesn't say. Dana (AI host): And from the airport? Rob (AI host): Our write-up says it's web only, not in the mobile app. Rob (AI host): The help page doesn't say either way. Dana (AI host): Last worry. Half my close dates are wrong. Rob (AI host): Our write-up is blunt about that. Rob (AI host): If your CRM data is messy, the mess shows up immediately in a Breeze chart. Rob (AI host): Stages used inconsistently, stale close dates, gaps in rep assignment. Breeze charts exactly what's in there. Rob (AI host): One newer helper. Rob (AI host): HubSpot's September post added a Context Pane, a sidebar showing which CRM records Breeze referenced, in real time. Dana (AI host): So I could check which deals went into the bars. Rob (AI host): That's the hope. The post describes it for Breeze in general, not charts specifically. Dana (AI host): So here's my plan, as the sales director. Dana (AI host): Keep the recurring charts in the report builder. Dana (AI host): Use Breeze for one-off questions, and blend in the benchmark CSV. Dana (AI host): And before next quarter, fix the close dates, so the first Breeze chart doesn't embarrass anybody. Rob (AI host): Our write-up frames it the same way. Rob (AI host): The report builder for repeatable views, Breeze for everything in between. Rob (AI host): Breeze charts, then. Rob (AI host): Ask in plain English, refine by talking, export a PDF, and keep dashboards in the report builder. Dana (AI host): Every source is in the show notes, and the full research lives at Sidekick Strategies dot com. Rob (AI host): That's the episode. Dana (AI host): Ask for one chart you'd normally build in a spreadsheet. Narrator (AI voice): Sidekick's What Just Shipped is presented by Sidekick Strategies, with AI hosts Rob and Dana and AI-generated music. Narrator (AI voice): We're independent, and not affiliated with HubSpot. Find our research at Sidekick Strategies dot com.
