- 0:00Speaker 1: Hm, close your eyes and snuggle down. Take a deep
- 0:37breath in, slowly pushing your tummy out, and hold for
- 0:44just a moment, and now slowly breathe out, allowing all
- 0:50the air out of your lungs. Deep breath in, slowly
- 0:59pushing your tummy out and holding for a moment, and
- 1:04now slowly breathe out, allowing all the air out of
- 1:09your lungs. One more time. Deep breath in and breathe out,
- 1:21letting go of any tension and everything you don't need anymore,
- 1:28and just relax. Now, imagine yourself surrounded by a beautiful
- 1:36white light, a light so bright and so pure, the
- 1:42light of protection and peace.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Just for you.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Breathe in this white light and feel it as it
- 1:53enters your body completely, making you feel all warm and safe. Now,
- 2:02imagine you're walking on a quiet forest path and the
- 2:08most beautiful forest you have ever seen. And as you're walking,
- 2:14you know that this is an ancient forest, and this
- 2:19forest is very special, and you are very safe, very loved,
- 2:26and very protected. You take a big, deep breath in,
- 2:33and as you do, you can smell the fresh scent
- 2:36of pine in the earth, and as you breathe out,
- 2:41you feel yourself relaxing more and more with each step
- 2:45that you take. And the trees are all around you,
- 2:51and you can feel their wise energy surrounding you as
- 2:56you step deeper and deeper beneath the wonder fun canopy
- 3:00of leaves. Sun is shining and there is a gentle
- 3:07breeze on your face, and it ruffles your hair just
- 3:11a little bit, and the water of the sun makes
- 3:15you feel all tingling inside, and you feel very happy here.
- 3:23You notice that your attention is captured with watching the
- 3:27squirrels and the rabbits darting about. Squirrels are racing up
- 3:33and down the trees, the rabbits playing and running about,
- 3:37chasing each other, and they really are having fun. And
- 3:41you notice the birds flying and hopping from place to place,
- 3:44singing their songs, and all the other wildlife at work
- 3:48and at play. It's a very busy place, this forest
- 3:52of yours. Now, imagine what it would be like to
- 3:58enjoy yourself and have fun just like these little creatures, exploring, discovering,
- 4:04and playing. Maybe you'd like to fly like a bird,
- 4:10or climb a tree like a squirrel and be carefree,
- 4:13Or maybe you would just like to run like the rabbits.
- 4:17What fun that would be. What You don't do any
- 4:23of that today, because today you are just walking around
- 4:26the forest, breathing in fresh, clean air in the warm sunshine.
- 4:33So you continue on your path, smiling, thinking about the
- 4:38beautiful little creatures who are having so much fun together.
- 4:43When you see up ahead of you there's a little clearing,
- 4:48and as you enter the clearing, it's very quiet and
- 4:53it feels magical and enchanted. You look around and you
- 4:59know that there is a small house at the end
- 5:02of the clearing. Well, it's not a small really, it's
- 5:06about the size of a small cabin, and it's also
- 5:12in the shape of a very large mushroom. It has
- 5:16a little porch running all around it, and you can
- 5:19see that on the porch of this mushroom shaped cabin
- 5:24that there is a lovely old hammock slowly swinging in
- 5:28the gentle breeze. Now, it's a white house, and it
- 5:33has a round red roof with white spots on it,
- 5:37and a little red door. It has big pots on
- 5:40the porch too, with lots of colorful flowers in them,
- 5:43and there are daffodils growing all over the place, and
- 5:48it looks delightful, and you wonder who lives there. So
- 5:54you walk towards it, and as you do, you see
- 5:56glints of sparkling lights darting in and out behind the tree.
- 6:00They are at the back of the little house, but
- 6:03you're not afraid, and you wonder what it could be.
- 6:06It kind of looks like little fairies darting in and
- 6:08out of the trees. How wonderful would that be if
- 6:11you could actually see one. But you continue towards the
- 6:15house and you decide to knock on the little red
- 6:17door to see if anyone is at home. What before
- 6:22you can, the door opens and out walks two little
- 6:27girls and a little boy, and they're all carrying little baskets.
- 6:33They stop when they see you, and you smile at them,
- 6:37and they come towards you. They all have the most amazing,
- 6:42big kind eyes and the most beautiful smiles, and they
- 6:47say hello to you, and they tell you that their
- 6:51names are Delilah Madeline and hold them so you tell
- 6:56them your name. Delilah tells that they are going foraging
- 7:02from mushrooms for their dinner, and they ask you if
- 7:04you would like to go with them. Well, of course,
- 7:08you say yes, You say yes, please, thank you very much,
- 7:12so she hands you a little basket. The four of
- 7:16you set off into the trees at the back of
- 7:18the little Mushroom House, and as you walk, Madeline tells
- 7:22you that there are only certain mushrooms that you can
- 7:25forage for because some of them are not very good
- 7:27to eat. Some of them can make quite sick, but
- 7:31she says not to worry, as she will show you
- 7:33which ones are safe to pick. Well, that's okay. Then
- 7:39Holden rushes off her head and says, follow me, I
- 7:42know where they grow. He gives a little laugh and
- 7:46then skips off, with the three of you catching up
- 7:48behind him. Suddenly, Holden stops and with a big grin,
- 7:54points to the mushrooms he's found. Delilah stops and looks
- 7:59at the mushrooms gives an excited laugh. She tells you
- 8:03that there are many varieties of mushrooms growing here, but
- 8:06she says is very unusual because some of these mushrooms
- 8:09don't grow in this country at all, but because they
- 8:12live in this very special, magical place, they find them
- 8:16all the time, and she names some of the mushrooms
- 8:20she sees. There are button mushrooms, which are the white
- 8:24ones and the ones that most people like to eat.
- 8:29And there are Crimini mushrooms they usually grow in Italy.
- 8:33There are Portabello mushrooms, Chataki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, Puccini mushrooms,
- 8:38and many many more. Wow, that's a lot of mushrooms,
- 8:43you think to yourself. Madeline tells you when you're foraging
- 8:49for mushrooms, you must only select mushrooms that are fame,
- 8:53that have a smooth appearance. She says not to pick
- 8:56any to have any spots or marks on them, and
- 8:58she says never pick any moist or slimy ones. They
- 9:01are really yucky. So for a little while, go and
- 9:07forage for mushrooms with Delilah Madeline and hold them. See
- 9:12how many you can pick. And don't forget you're picking
- 9:15them for their dinner, so you'll need lots and lots.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Of them to go and have some fun.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Well that was fun, wasn't it. So the three of
- 11:25you go back to the little mushroom house with the
- 11:27red door, with your baskets filled up to the very
- 11:31brim with mushrooms. You have button mushrooms, put Cheeni mushrooms
- 11:36and Portabella mushrooms and they look very tasty. Indeed, as
- 11:42she reached the little mushroom house, the door opens and
- 11:46a lady puts out, and she is the children's mamma.
- 11:51She tells you that her name is Jill Holden. Tells
- 11:55her your name, and she is very pleased that the
- 11:58children have made a new friend. And she asks you
- 12:01if you would like to stay for dinner, especially as
- 12:04you helped to pick all the tasty mushrooms. Oh yes,
- 12:08I would loved you. Thank you very much. So you
- 12:13step inside the house, which is very lovely. There are
- 12:18big setties with big squishy cushions on them. There's a
- 12:23big wooden table for you all to sit at when
- 12:25you have your dinner. But you will trudge into the
- 12:29kitchen carrying your baskets, and you meet two more people.
- 12:34What is a man called Zach who tells you that
- 12:37he is the children's paper. And there is another lovely
- 12:40lady called Lindsey and she is the children's bonus mum.
- 12:46How cool is that these children have two mums. Two
- 12:51mums means lots of hugs and kisses, and dads give
- 12:56hugs and kisses too. Now, because the four of you
- 13:01have done all the foraging, Jill and Lindsey prepared the
- 13:05food for you all while Sac sets the table and
- 13:09cut some butters lovely fresh crusty bread. So you will
- 13:14take your seat at the table, and after a short while,
- 13:17all the food is ready and gets placed on the table.
- 13:22Delight that tells you that they are having a mushroom
- 13:26soup for dinner, followed by a great big mushroom tart
- 13:31made with cream, cheese and nutty pastry, with lots of
- 13:34salad and fresh fruit, and this ice cream for pudding. Well,
- 13:40I must sign that sounds rather delicious to me. Linda
- 13:46tells you to tuck in and help yourself to all
- 13:49the lovely smelling food, So.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Just to be.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Polite, of course, you do. After you've eaten your wonderful
- 14:48dinner and you're feeling very full of indeed, you tell
- 14:53your new friends that it's time for you to go
- 14:55home now. So you stand up and you thank them
- 14:59all very much for letting you come into their home
- 15:01and be with them. You thank de Lilah, You thank
- 15:05Madelon and Holding for taking you to pick the very
- 15:10tasty mushrooms and have lots and lots of fun with them.
- 15:16The children walk with you to their little front door
- 15:18and wave you off, and they tell you that you
- 15:22can come again to forest for mushrooms with them any
- 15:24time you want. And you smile and you turn, you
- 15:29wave goodbye, and you begin to walk home. But you
- 15:36feel so happy right now. You are so grateful to
- 15:41have met these wonderful children, Delilah, Madelon and hold them
- 15:48and their lovely Mamma and Papa, Jill and Zach and
- 15:52of course not forgetting lindsay their bonus man. Oh, but
- 15:57you can't wait to come back. Maybe next time you
- 16:01can bring a mushroom recipe with you too, Maybe you
- 16:04can try that one out. But for now, just breathe
- 16:10in gently and breathe out slowly. Again, breathe in gently
- 16:21and breathe out slowly, and you can feel your eyes
- 16:27beginning to close now, and you just breathe in gently,
- 16:34breathe out slowly, and you feel so peaceful, so happy,
- 16:41and you feel so calm to start to fall into
- 16:46a beautiful sleep. And you drift into sleep thinking about
- 16:51your new very kind and very lovely friends, Delilah, Madeline
- 16:59and holden night night, Sweet treats Usu
