Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Armchair GM Sports Network.
- 1:00Speaker 2: For just the second time ever, we're live with colin Ward.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm Reice Domini BC is in the clouds. Colin Ward
- 1:09Speaker 2: out here looking professional. I've got my Jackfish gear on.
- 1:13Speaker 2: More on that later on in the show. The reason
- 1:16Speaker 2: for us being live is because there was a Game
- 1:19Speaker 2: seven yesterday and there's a game one tomorrow. Doesn't really
- 1:24Speaker 2: work out in terms of releasing something that's previously recorded,
- 1:28Speaker 2: so live was probably the best option, if not the
- 1:32Speaker 2: only option, for us. This week, we'll kind of give
- 1:34Speaker 2: everyone a rundown of what's going to happen on this
- 1:37Speaker 2: week's show or this round show. I guess headlines around
- 1:42Speaker 2: the Ontario Hockey League. There is no longer a head
- 1:46Speaker 2: coach in Sue Saint Marie by the name of John Dean.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Those two parties decided to mutually part way, so we
- 1:55Speaker 2: know colin Ward has some thoughts on that. Sam O'Reilly
- 1:58Speaker 2: named MVP effect thanks to mister colin Ward. January, Kayshawn
- 2:05Speaker 2: Achison named the Best Defenseman, uh cars Woodall the Humanitarian
- 2:10Speaker 2: Award and the Ted Baker Teammate finalists. That's all how
- 2:14Speaker 2: we're pretty well going to start this show, and then
- 2:16Speaker 2: we look at the conference finals. We're gonna start with
- 2:18Speaker 2: Branford and Barry that went the distance to seven games,
- 2:22Speaker 2: some other stuff to go over that's not about hockey,
- 2:24Speaker 2: that yeah, and then Winter and Kitchener. Interesting stat that
- 2:30Speaker 2: I saw earlier today from Mike Farwell, if the winsor
- 2:35Speaker 2: Spitfires score on three more shots, they're off to the
- 2:38Speaker 2: OHL Finals to play the Barry Golts which I thought
- 2:40Speaker 2: was really interesting. So we're gonna touch on that. It
- 2:42Speaker 2: was much closer series than THEO it appeared to be
- 2:45Speaker 2: thanks to five games. And then we look at the finals.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It's Barry and Kitchener for the j Ross Robertson Cup.
- 2:52Speaker 2: We're gonna finish off with that on this live edition
- 2:55Speaker 2: of the Ohl and sixty podcast. But first off, John
- 2:58Speaker 2: d no longer the head head coach in Sue Saint
- 3:01Speaker 2: Marie as the two sides agreed to part ways. I
- 3:04Speaker 2: know this was a little bit of go but he
- 3:06Speaker 2: was hired by the club July twelfth of two thousand
- 3:08Speaker 2: and eight, and uh yeah, eight years, seven seasons. He
- 3:14Speaker 2: was the head coach an overall regular season record of
- 3:17Speaker 2: two forty five one seventy eight, thirty one, and eighteen
- 3:20Speaker 2: for a total of four hundred and seventy two games.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Pretty damn good record. However, if you do not win,
- 3:24Speaker 2: it really does not make a difference what your regular
- 3:26Speaker 2: season record is. Colin Ward, I know we've spoken numerous
- 3:31Speaker 2: times we're not a huge fan of coaches who are yellers.
- 3:35Speaker 2: John Dean is one of those guys who does yell
- 3:38Speaker 2: fairly often on the bench, at least from what we've
- 3:42Speaker 2: seen in person. So what are your thoughts on this? Yeah,
- 3:46Speaker 2: I don't care about in the dressing room. I think
- 3:47Speaker 2: there's a time and place where you have to let
- 3:49Speaker 2: it rip if you're a coach. But during the play,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I mean junior hockey, I just don't see how often
- 3:55Speaker 2: that works out. You look around the elite coaches in
- 3:57Speaker 2: the Atario Hockey League for instance, like you know, see
- 4:00Speaker 2: them say a peep on the bench.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It's always the assistant coaches that do things, and I
- 4:04Speaker 3: I just don't like the way it operates. I'm more
- 4:06Speaker 3: of a John Deere fan the Tractor for those that
- 4:10Speaker 3: aren't from the dellha Ontario, But yeah, I'm more of
- 4:14Speaker 3: a Tractor fan of the John Deere but it was time.
- 4:18Speaker 3: It was time, and you know, there's always a shelf life.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Eight years is a long time in the OHL to
- 4:22Speaker 3: be with a team. That's obviously if you're not the
- 4:26Speaker 3: Hunters or in London. I mean, hey, recess video, I'm
- 4:34Speaker 3: I think that, like, you know, it's obviously it's a
- 4:36Speaker 3: long time like to be with a team. And I
- 4:39Speaker 3: feel like, yeah, it was time. You look at their
- 4:42Speaker 3: you look at their last couple of seasons. Here you
- 4:45Speaker 3: get a first round exit, you get a second round
- 4:47Speaker 3: exit in twenty three, twenty four.
- 4:49Speaker 2: This year's a second round exit. It was time. It
- 4:52Speaker 2: was time.
- 4:53Speaker 3: You Hey, you go back to two years ago, that's
- 4:55Speaker 3: when it first started with watching too, thinking, man, this
- 4:59Speaker 3: is kind of a t like I always thought when
- 5:02Speaker 3: I look at teams in the West, I look at
- 5:03Speaker 3: teams in the East and the individual conference. I start off,
- 5:05Speaker 3: I look at the division. Do you play a certain
- 5:07Speaker 3: team in the division, how do you match up against?
- 5:10Speaker 3: You play a certain conference, how do you match up against?
- 5:12Speaker 3: I look at in the West. I think of London
- 5:14Speaker 3: being that standard, that team every year that's in that mix,
- 5:18Speaker 3: you know, And I think about John Deane going up
- 5:21Speaker 3: against the Hunters and yes, he won the round this
- 5:23Speaker 3: year and that made me look really dumb. But Barry
- 5:26Speaker 3: fans would attest to that in my DMS. But uh,
- 5:29Speaker 3: I think that. Uh I think that like it was time,
- 5:31Speaker 3: it was time to make the move, and you look
- 5:34Speaker 3: at the coaches. I don't like the uh I don't
- 5:36Speaker 3: like the match up against other coach in the Western Conference.
- 5:40Speaker 2: From the Sue Saint Marie Greyhounds down to the Kitchener Rangers.
- 5:43Speaker 2: The press conference was held earlier today in Kitchener Josh
- 5:48Speaker 2: Sweetlan who does a phenomenal job hosting that press conference
- 5:52Speaker 2: there and getting things rolling along very smoothly as he
- 5:55Speaker 2: does always. Samuel Riley is the MVP in the Ontario
- 6:00Speaker 2: Hockey League. He takes home the Red Tilson Trophy, awarded
- 6:03Speaker 2: to the league's most outstanding player, as voted by us
- 6:07Speaker 2: OHL accredited writers and broadcasters. So O'reiley, of course, splitting
- 6:12Speaker 2: time this season between the London Knights and Kitchener Rangers.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Full article up on the OHL website. I do encourage
- 6:20Speaker 2: you to go and read that. That seemed to be
- 6:23Speaker 2: the most impactful trade this year in the Ontario Hockey League.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Obviously there were a ton of ton more moves made
- 6:30Speaker 2: around the league, but it seems like o'reiley and Woolly
- 6:32Speaker 2: have really made a difference for the Kitchener Rangers. Me personally,
- 6:35Speaker 2: I voted for Nathan aspitall. I did have him as
- 6:38Speaker 2: my Red Tilson vote. Colin obviously Sam O'Reilly fans, so
- 6:43Speaker 2: going with Sam o'reiley for for your vote. But a
- 6:46Speaker 2: lot of people I've seen comments on both sides about oh,
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't think so, but I've seen way more like, yeah, okay,
- 6:54Speaker 2: he was. He was pretty damn good. Changed he changed
- 6:56Speaker 2: the team. I mean it's the most valuable player.
- 6:59Speaker 3: He was the most I think there's three players in
- 7:01Speaker 3: the league that was unanimous in a league of their own.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I thought Samuel Riley, Colebode Win, Jacobrien, and I don't
- 7:08Speaker 3: think anything else was really close to that. I thought
- 7:10Speaker 3: Samuel Riley was incredible, the way he was around the net,
- 7:14Speaker 3: the way he changed the game.
- 7:15Speaker 2: You look at his line. And I love.
- 7:17Speaker 3: About the press conference and as you can go here
- 7:20Speaker 3: on the website, I love that in the press conference
- 7:24Speaker 3: they talked about with commissioner about it's not about points.
- 7:29Speaker 3: It's not about points, and fans generally get excited about points.
- 7:33Speaker 2: That's the first thing.
- 7:33Speaker 3: They look at his points this occasion, it's not always
- 7:36Speaker 3: about points. And when you look at what he did
- 7:39Speaker 3: to the Rangers coming there, he had forty three points
- 7:42Speaker 3: in twenty eight games. As it says on the screen
- 7:44Speaker 3: on YouTube for those watching, that's incredible this season for
- 7:49Speaker 3: the Rangers since coming over. You look what he did
- 7:52Speaker 3: twenty eight and twenty eight with London. On top of that,
- 7:54Speaker 3: like every team he's been on, he's been good. You
- 7:57Speaker 3: look at what he's done in the mem Cup. He's
- 7:59Speaker 3: gonna be in the finals, the first player ever four
- 8:02Speaker 3: years in a row to play in the entire Hockey
- 8:04Speaker 3: League finals. That's incredible and I mean it's no secret.
- 8:07Speaker 3: It's no secret. Shout out to his agent, David McNamara
- 8:10Speaker 3: got to talk to him game five last Thursday in Branford.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Anything of us Thursday.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Day, Yep, great age, great agent. But yeah, high, high
- 8:21Speaker 3: regards on Sam o'reiley. This kid, This sky's the limit.
- 8:25Speaker 3: You saw we did the World Juniors. It feels like
- 8:29Speaker 3: for PC, it felt like all those clips that were
- 8:31Speaker 3: coming out about Sam.
- 8:32Speaker 2: O'reiley, it feels like an effect that brings a tear
- 8:34Speaker 2: to my eye.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Take that Barry fans in the comments. But yeah, I
- 8:41Speaker 3: know where this one's going later. But yeah, I think that, uh,
- 8:43Speaker 3: Sam o'reiley definitely well deserved what he's brought into the table.
- 8:46Speaker 3: The Rangers just aren't where they are without Sam O'Reilly.
- 8:50Speaker 3: He was, He's been incredible and I can't wait to
- 8:52Speaker 3: see what this final, uh what this finals is like
- 8:55Speaker 3: for him.
- 8:57Speaker 2: He will be going up against New York Islanders prospect
- 9:01Speaker 2: and defenseman Kayshawn Ahison, who is named defenseman of the
- 9:05Speaker 2: Year in the Ontario Hockey League the Max Kaminski Trophy,
- 9:09Speaker 2: which is presented to the OHL Defenseman of the Year
- 9:11Speaker 2: as voted on by the league's general managers. Pretty record
- 9:16Speaker 2: setting season for Hison and Barry. He led all OHL
- 9:21Speaker 2: Blue Liners franchise mark of seventy points, club record of
- 9:24Speaker 2: twenty eight goals by a defenseman, plus minus rating of
- 9:29Speaker 2: plus forty six. And yeah, he was the best defender
- 9:35Speaker 2: in the league. I think it was. It was fairly unanimous.
- 9:39Speaker 2: A guy that, Yeah, in that seven game series against Branford,
- 9:42Speaker 2: if he didn't play thirty minutes, I was really surprised.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So for Hison, we can say what we want about
- 9:50Speaker 2: that press conference we're gonna get to it in just
- 9:52Speaker 2: a second. Kayshawn Ahsen is the best defenseman in the
- 9:54Speaker 2: Ontario Hockey League. He is very, very good. He's a
- 9:57Speaker 2: first round talent. Funny to think that he could potentially
- 10:02Speaker 2: be in Hamilton next year with the you Don't care
- 10:05Speaker 2: h club. Yeah yeah, right, doesn't care. He works hard. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: he doesn't care that he's the league's best defenseman. He
- 10:14Speaker 2: probably does work. You don't care. But again, again, again,
- 10:18Speaker 2: that's something that's something that's really hard to argue. He
- 10:20Speaker 2: is the leagu's best defenseman. He really is, and he
- 10:24Speaker 2: put it on display all season long without a doubt.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I mean the minutes he played.
- 10:27Speaker 3: He played forty two minutes in Game seven, played forty
- 10:30Speaker 3: minutes in games in Game six, forty minutes in Game five.
- 10:34Speaker 3: I mean you look at the forties here with their
- 10:37Speaker 3: season on the line, with Cole Bodewin going down like
- 10:39Speaker 3: that like That's that was huge for case on Hsen
- 10:44Speaker 3: to step up like that. Honestly, it was him and
- 10:46Speaker 3: Ben Herebic more horobic, but Aichston was incredible. You look
- 10:51Speaker 3: at the playoffs he's had right now on this stretch.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Then he eat a big play, he makes a big
- 10:57Speaker 3: play and he honestly, when you think about the Barry Colts,
- 10:59Speaker 3: you think about Kashawan Achison, That's the Barry Cults.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It's Keyshawn Ahison's team.
- 11:03Speaker 3: And when you watch them play and you watch the
- 11:06Speaker 3: identity he plays with, that's the Barry Colts.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah. We mentioned it on the Dogcast. He is very
- 11:14Speaker 2: much the Brent Clark of the Barry Colts this year.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I know Brent Clark frustrated a lot of people in
- 11:22Speaker 2: the twenty twenty three playoffs. Ahsen very similar. They were
- 11:26Speaker 2: both the best defenseman on their team, best defenseman in
- 11:29Speaker 2: the league, played physical, could put up points. Yeah, I'd
- 11:33Speaker 2: say very similar. So more of the awards. The Ted
- 11:37Speaker 2: Baker Teammate of the Year Award finalists were announced as well.
- 11:44Speaker 2: They include Andre Mondo of the Kingston Front and act
- 11:48Speaker 2: defenseman Matthew Adanofski of the Kitchen Rangers, also a defenseman,
- 11:51Speaker 2: Hayden Reid of the Niagara Ice Dogs, Josh Glavin from
- 11:55Speaker 2: the saganaw Spirit, and Wyatt Kennedy from the winsor Spit five.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Awaiting the announcement on who takes that one home, But
- 12:03Speaker 2: those are your nominees. For that award, and I believe
- 12:09Speaker 2: we have to go over the Mickey Reno Captain's Trophy
- 12:14Speaker 2: as well. The finalists for that Jacob Brien of the
- 12:17Speaker 2: Branford Bulldogs, Nathan Asman, all the Flip Firebirds, Liam green Tree,
- 12:21Speaker 2: the Windsor Spitfires, and Brady Martin of the Sue Greyhounds. Again,
- 12:25Speaker 2: that's a coin flip for all of those guys. You
- 12:29Speaker 2: know you like Liam green Tree because Mickey Reno was
- 12:31Speaker 2: a Windsor spit Fire that that doesn't mean an automatic
- 12:35Speaker 2: but Liam green Tree We're gonna get to that as
- 12:39Speaker 2: as we break down Kitchener and Windsor that Western Conference
- 12:42Speaker 2: Finals series. But he will be missed in in Windsor,
- 12:46Speaker 2: that's for sure.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Winters review coming next week. By the way, it's got
- 12:50Speaker 1: to put the video together.
- 12:53Speaker 3: No spoilers, no spoilers today right now on the spot.
- 12:57Speaker 2: No spoilers.
- 12:59Speaker 1: But it was a neither neither of your favorites one
- 13:01Speaker 1: for me. That's the only spoiler.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Also work, all right, that's all good. Okay, let's get
- 13:09Speaker 2: to the conference finals. We're gonna start with the Eastern
- 13:12Speaker 2: Conference Finals. We're gonna start with hockey first and then
- 13:16Speaker 2: we'll get to the other crap. So Branford and Barry
- 13:22Speaker 2: go seven. This series was three to one at one
- 13:24Speaker 2: point for the Branford Bulldogs. Did a lot of people
- 13:30Speaker 2: expect them to steamroll them in game five? Sure? After
- 13:33Speaker 2: Game number four, after that effort in game number five,
- 13:37Speaker 2: did we think that Branford was gonna end it in
- 13:40Speaker 2: Barry yep, and based off of a faulty review, they
- 13:45Speaker 2: should have, but Barry out goalie Branford. In my opinion,
- 13:55Speaker 2: Ben her Rebik gave them saves when they needed it,
- 13:57Speaker 2: and I thought there were moments where it'd be like, oh,
- 14:00Speaker 2: you know, it'd be awesome to get a save there
- 14:01Speaker 2: from from Leanders, and it just didn't come. Unfortunately, he
- 14:04Speaker 2: played great. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Rierson
- 14:07Speaker 2: Leanders whatsoever, but it just felt like that extra save
- 14:10Speaker 2: that a goaltender needs to make. Ben Herebic gave the
- 14:12Speaker 2: Colts that and and he is one of the main
- 14:15Speaker 2: reasons why they are moving on to the Ohl Championship Series.
- 14:19Speaker 2: He was phenomenal. It's really hard to ignore the play
- 14:23Speaker 2: from Ben Herebic. Obviously, Colbo Dwin going down is tough,
- 14:28Speaker 2: you know, I understand that his play wasn't up to
- 14:31Speaker 2: par in Game five, but you know, then he goes
- 14:35Speaker 2: out with an injury. Funny how that worked out. But yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 2: I mean Branford had this series. They really did a
- 14:47Speaker 2: three two lead heading into the third or a two
- 14:49Speaker 2: one lead heading into the third, and game five a
- 14:50Speaker 2: three two lead heading into the third, and Game six
- 14:54Speaker 2: you just got to lock it down defensively, and that
- 14:56Speaker 2: tying goal in game six, that overhead view you sort
- 15:00Speaker 2: of told us a lot about what the last two
- 15:03Speaker 2: plus games were where there were full four Bulldogs on
- 15:07Speaker 2: the ice at the one side of the crease and
- 15:10Speaker 2: one colt left out and actually two colts left out
- 15:12Speaker 2: in front and the puck ends up in the back
- 15:14Speaker 2: of the net behind Ryerson Landers. First time all series
- 15:17Speaker 2: there was a shot from there. Yeah so tight, Yeah exactly.
- 15:21Speaker 2: So what what do you make of this one? One? More?
- 15:24Speaker 2: In m I off, Do I sound stupid? I might
- 15:27Speaker 2: I sound stupid more often than not, But it just
- 15:31Speaker 2: it felt like the Bulldogs got out goalied in those
- 15:35Speaker 2: last few games.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Well, you go over the series and you're thinking, all
- 15:39Speaker 3: I can think of is Ben Herebik. That's all I
- 15:42Speaker 3: can think about in the series. I mean, I look
- 15:43Speaker 3: at Game five, the Bulldogs were spotty at times. I
- 15:46Speaker 3: look at Game six, it was a five minute lapse
- 15:49Speaker 3: where Branford wasn't the better team and Barry made him pay.
- 15:51Speaker 3: And I mean, that's what Barry's done all season. You
- 15:53Speaker 3: watched the Barry Colts all season. You have a you
- 15:56Speaker 3: have a shift off against the Barry Colts, you get
- 15:59Speaker 3: undirected again them. You started going on the two way
- 16:01Speaker 3: instead of the one way, you're in trouble. And that's
- 16:04Speaker 3: what happened there. And that's a team they got a
- 16:07Speaker 3: lot of big goals in big situations. You look at
- 16:09Speaker 3: their third line against the Bulldogs third line late in
- 16:12Speaker 3: the games there. As the games went on, they got
- 16:14Speaker 3: out played and they got out possessed. I think maybe
- 16:17Speaker 3: the Branford went a little bit individual at times, especially
- 16:20Speaker 3: Game seven.
- 16:21Speaker 2: They're down one nothing in the third period. Next thing
- 16:22Speaker 2: you know, it's two nothing.
- 16:24Speaker 3: You take a high stick penalty, ends up being a
- 16:26Speaker 3: four minute and the period beginning the period, second and
- 16:30Speaker 3: third period on the power play to the Barry Colts.
- 16:33Speaker 3: They make no mistake to start the period. That was
- 16:35Speaker 3: kind of the backbreaker to where the Bulldogs you just
- 16:38Speaker 3: saw individual trying to make plays. It wasn't getting pucks
- 16:41Speaker 3: in DP, it wasn't on their d it wasn't inside
- 16:44Speaker 3: on their defense. Their defense are big, they're talented. They're
- 16:48Speaker 3: a really good team. Barry, and that's what you saw.
- 16:50Speaker 3: You saw a good team close out a game the
- 16:52Speaker 3: way a good team does close out a game. And
- 16:56Speaker 3: Ben Herevik like, I say, I think when I look
- 16:59Speaker 3: back at the series, I look at game six now
- 17:01Speaker 3: it makes sense if the Bulldogs get beat five nothing
- 17:04Speaker 3: in Game seven, because it felt like they ran out
- 17:07Speaker 3: of lock. It feels like you get all those chances
- 17:09Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden, it's like, hey got.
- 17:12Speaker 2: You may last.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Tampa Bay lightning about Game seven and some montre All
- 17:15Speaker 3: Canadians they give a out nine shots on goal and lose.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I'm sure any Tampa Bay fan right now is like,
- 17:20Speaker 2: and how did we lose that game?
- 17:22Speaker 3: Like?
- 17:22Speaker 2: How do you lose that game? Seven? Sevens? Switching now
- 17:26Speaker 2: or anything can happen. A lot of Bulldogs fans are thinking,
- 17:29Speaker 2: how the hell did we lose games five and six? Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 2: we're better, you know, well, you had two open nets
- 17:35Speaker 2: right with the series on theline. Yeah, exactly, Cooper Dennis
- 17:38Speaker 2: and I hate mentioning names, but Cooper Dennis in overtime
- 17:40Speaker 2: in Game five, Merk van Acker in the third period
- 17:43Speaker 2: in Game six, Yeah, it just those were Those were tough,
- 17:49Speaker 2: and I see the chat is uh Is often running. Yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 2: that's a great point. The Steelheads additions for the Barry Colts.
- 17:56Speaker 2: You look at Zebeski, you look at von Richter. Those
- 17:58Speaker 2: guys were horses for the Colt You talk about the
- 18:01Speaker 2: Beeski in Game six with the winner von Richter. Again,
- 18:04Speaker 2: we talk about how much we saw Hison in how
- 18:07Speaker 2: many minutes he played. Von Richter I would say was
- 18:10Speaker 2: right up there, not too too far behind. So you know,
- 18:14Speaker 2: that's what happens when you're in division. You get a
- 18:16Speaker 2: you get a good look at guys and you're thinking, hey,
- 18:18Speaker 2: you know, I'd really love to have that guy in
- 18:20Speaker 2: my team. And and Marty Williamson goes out and gets
- 18:22Speaker 2: Mason Zebeski goes out and gets Parker von Richter, and
- 18:25Speaker 2: I love They're off to the OCHIL Championship Series thanks
- 18:28Speaker 2: to them.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I love the PVR AD because it kind of makes
- 18:31Speaker 3: your team a little bit. It gives that little pivot point, right.
- 18:34Speaker 3: He played the two spot with the Ahison. Most of
- 18:36Speaker 3: the time he played the three spot. You know, like
- 18:40Speaker 3: any pair, you can be in the second pair, you
- 18:42Speaker 3: can be in the first pair behind Ahison, like I mentioned,
- 18:44Speaker 3: like be the second pair.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Be that guy.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Uh, you can play any spot. He can play on
- 18:49Speaker 3: any pairing on your team and be successful. I'm sure
- 18:51Speaker 3: if you give him the call up to play on
- 18:52Speaker 3: the first pair with Huson, he'd be effective.
- 18:55Speaker 2: In that role too. That's that's that ad that really
- 18:58Speaker 2: stands out.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Then you look at Sebaski, right with Heming and Bodwin,
- 19:01Speaker 3: he kind of brings an element less physicality. I mean
- 19:04Speaker 3: Bodwin obviously, the way he plays a game, he's gonna
- 19:07Speaker 3: naturally draw contact with how big he is, how strong
- 19:11Speaker 3: he is. Right, it's naturally gonna be a center, You're
- 19:13Speaker 3: naturally gonna draw contact. But adding Zebeski kind of brings
- 19:17Speaker 3: that extra element into the line where it's like, okay, Heming,
- 19:21Speaker 3: you know the shot, you know, the catch and release style,
- 19:23Speaker 3: the way he plays the hockey game. Uh, you got
- 19:26Speaker 3: a quick shot pucks on an office stick like that. Like,
- 19:29Speaker 3: then you look at Bodwin, who's a two way guy.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Sebesky hard up and down the wing, they really compliment
- 19:34Speaker 3: each other well, and you saw that throughout the series,
- 19:37Speaker 3: even when bod Win's in the lineup. And also Brad Gardner,
- 19:39Speaker 3: how big was he in the series. I mean he
- 19:41Speaker 3: is a bulldog.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Killer bulldog. I was just about to say that goes
- 19:45Speaker 2: back to sixty seven days. He loves playing against the
- 19:47Speaker 2: Brandford Bulldogs.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, I mean you look at that ad last season, right,
- 19:52Speaker 3: like you get the two years obviously Crombie another one,
- 19:55Speaker 3: uh Perry. I mean a lot of underrated moves, right,
- 19:58Speaker 3: a lot underrated moves. And I and this is kind
- 20:01Speaker 3: of a little bit off topic.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I hope not chat. Don't bury me, don't bury me.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But I know it's one of those ways with this
- 20:10Speaker 3: new agreement, with the new landscape at the OHL, this
- 20:13Speaker 3: is one of the ways too to make your team better,
- 20:16Speaker 3: like how you get better, how.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You take a step up. It makes the league kind
- 20:20Speaker 2: of better.
- 20:21Speaker 3: And that's why we're here gonna hear all this talk
- 20:22Speaker 3: about expansion, because you're gonna have a lot of good players.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Now there's gonna be ninth round picks playing. Those ninth
- 20:29Speaker 3: round picks that were American players before that got picked
- 20:32Speaker 3: by London, Like those guys gonna go now in the
- 20:35Speaker 3: first round. Now, all of a sudden, you're gonna have
- 20:38Speaker 3: a true talent draft to where and wonder why we
- 20:41Speaker 3: need an expansion because some of these guys who are
- 20:43Speaker 3: damn good players who have played in the Antario Hockey
- 20:46Speaker 3: League years past, are going to have an opportunity now
- 20:49Speaker 3: on expansion teams. I think that's one of the reasons
- 20:51Speaker 3: why you need expansion quick. With the new landscape going,
- 20:54Speaker 3: you would need at least two expansion teams. It allows
- 20:56Speaker 3: at least, hey, you have an extra two draft. That
- 21:00Speaker 3: makes a little bit of a difference.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yea.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And that kind of makes sense now when you hear
- 21:03Speaker 3: about expansion stuff, And that's what I wanted to mention too.
- 21:05Speaker 2: You really saw that in the series.
- 21:07Speaker 3: You look at both these teams that have added from
- 21:08Speaker 3: their from their agreements. You look at the signings that
- 21:11Speaker 3: Barry has made throughout the season. You know about Branford
- 21:14Speaker 3: with Cooper datis to get in.
- 21:15Speaker 2: The commitment kill Malt. That just speaks for itself.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Like with the agreement, I mean, it makes the league better.
- 21:22Speaker 3: You're going to see true players now go early instead
- 21:26Speaker 3: of the seventh round. You're gonna see them go in
- 21:27Speaker 3: the first round, and you're really gonna see a lot
- 21:30Speaker 3: more year in and year out. And Barry, you look
- 21:32Speaker 3: at their signings that they've been making here throughout the
- 21:35Speaker 3: season for next year, this team, like, I guess you
- 21:40Speaker 3: win next year exactly.
- 21:43Speaker 2: And just because sorry, go ahead, just because you win.
- 21:47Speaker 3: You go on a run, doesn't mean that next year
- 21:49Speaker 3: you don't have a chance because now with the landscape, man,
- 21:54Speaker 3: you don't know, like it can change a lot faster
- 21:56Speaker 3: than you think. You signed two players that you wouldn't
- 21:58Speaker 3: be able to sign anybody for now you signed two
- 22:02Speaker 3: players that are free agents.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Changes your team, changes your team, It changed, It brings
- 22:09Speaker 3: another element. It allows you to maybe speed up a
- 22:11Speaker 3: year instead of having to wait three years, maybe you
- 22:13Speaker 3: have to wait two years. Yeah, the drafts still going
- 22:15Speaker 3: to mean something, but you're I think less weight time
- 22:18Speaker 3: if you can be effective in your free agent signings.
- 22:20Speaker 3: And then both these two teams have done a great
- 22:22Speaker 3: job throughout the season on that.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, it's the Central Division. Who the heck knows?
- 22:27Speaker 2: What's that? What that's gonna be like New GM and Niagara?
- 22:31Speaker 2: What else is new? Who knows? How the heck, that
- 22:34Speaker 2: team's gonna Look, I don't expect Sudbury to really be
- 22:37Speaker 2: near competing for a championship, yet North Bay might be
- 22:41Speaker 2: the closest them and Barry could go at it quite
- 22:44Speaker 2: a bit. I don't see Brampton really, you know, making
- 22:50Speaker 2: full strides forward to being a championship contender. Yet like
- 22:54Speaker 2: it's it, I don't. I don't know what the Central
- 22:55Speaker 2: Division is going to be next year. It's it's really
- 22:57Speaker 2: tough to every day. And so with those signings that
- 23:00Speaker 2: Berry's making, you're right, let's go at it again, your
- 23:02Speaker 2: number three? North Bay did it? You know, it's it's
- 23:04Speaker 2: kind of been a toss up in the Central Division.
- 23:06Speaker 2: It's either Barry or North Bay in the in the
- 23:08Speaker 2: conference finals over the last number of years, and and
- 23:11Speaker 2: nobody else has really been close to to those last
- 23:13Speaker 2: five yeah, five seasons. I guess it was the last
- 23:16Speaker 2: two including this year the Barry Colts and then previous
- 23:19Speaker 2: years three straight by the by the North Bay battalions.
- 23:22Speaker 3: So who knows have something to say too with the
- 23:27Speaker 3: deadliney had, they'll there'll be a competitive take and they're
- 23:31Speaker 3: gonna be a solid team.
- 23:32Speaker 2: One of you too, Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 23:36Speaker 3: If they don't trade anybody e A London, that's that.
- 23:42Speaker 2: So I mean, And and Caleb Malhultra has been been
- 23:46Speaker 2: brought up in the chat as well. He is not
- 23:50Speaker 2: right now getting traded to Gwelph. Let's get that out
- 23:53Speaker 2: of the on the floor. That is not something that
- 23:56Speaker 2: has been agreed upon. That's not a side deal right now.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Could it happen, Sure it could happen. Vancouver well has
- 24:02Speaker 2: has the pieces. But if he gets you know, he's
- 24:07Speaker 2: gonna get drafted. Why why was I even gonna say
- 24:09Speaker 2: that he's gonna get drafted. He's gonna be a top
- 24:12Speaker 2: five pick. He is committed to Boston and uh, the
- 24:17Speaker 2: thing about that and and something that people won't know
- 24:21Speaker 2: about Caleb just watching him play and and you know,
- 24:23Speaker 2: maybe get him on a high five every once in
- 24:25Speaker 2: a while. And but we've come to learn being around
- 24:28Speaker 2: the Bulldogs that killed Malhulcher is a big commitment guy.
- 24:31Speaker 2: That's why he was in the BHL last year. He
- 24:33Speaker 2: had committed to go play there, so he wanted to
- 24:36Speaker 2: go fulfill that commitment. Well, now he commits to Branford
- 24:39Speaker 2: for this year or technically this past season. Now for
- 24:42Speaker 2: the Bulldogs. But he commits to Brantford for twenty twenty six. Well,
- 24:46Speaker 2: he's gonna honor that commitment and go there unless he
- 24:49Speaker 2: gets signed to an entry level contract because the NHL,
- 24:51Speaker 2: his NHL club really wants to get him signed. He's
- 24:55Speaker 2: committed to Boston. He's going to Boston. That that's just
- 24:57Speaker 2: the kind of player he is. You know. Again, unless
- 25:00Speaker 2: he's got that entry level deal, and unless Spencer Hyman
- 25:03Speaker 2: is a magician and and gets him to come back
- 25:06Speaker 2: to Branford without the entry level deal, it seems like
- 25:09Speaker 2: Kila Malhotra is Boston bound. I mean Toronto getting the
- 25:15Speaker 2: number one pick, Brandon, that's your filt, Toronto getting the
- 25:19Speaker 2: number one overall pick. The draft has been in Buffalo
- 25:23Speaker 2: both times. I blame Buffalo. Okay, not you. I blame Buffalo,
- 25:28Speaker 2: but I know you're in around two. You're probably gonna
- 25:36Speaker 2: be in round three. Uh we're big Buffalo right now.
- 25:43Speaker 2: But I mean, for for for Branford, where where do
- 25:48Speaker 2: they go from here? You've got to way goalies next year,
- 25:50Speaker 2: and David erob and and Ryerson Leanders. I don't expect
- 25:54Speaker 2: both of them to be back because you've got Maxim
- 25:56Speaker 2: Korovic ready and waiting to come up and be whether
- 26:00Speaker 2: he's a backup, whether he takes over the number one job,
- 26:02Speaker 2: Who the heck knows? Another guy that could very well
- 26:05Speaker 2: get drafted this year, as he had a phenomenal season
- 26:08Speaker 2: with Collingwood, But Bulldogs went all in and again draft picks.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I don't think are as a big a deal as
- 26:18Speaker 2: they used to be. Are they huge? Sure, you can't pick.
- 26:21Speaker 2: You can't be the Toronto maple Leaves and pick twice
- 26:23Speaker 2: a draft, like, you can't do that. But I think
- 26:26Speaker 2: in terms of if you can get the right free agents,
- 26:29Speaker 2: then you might be okay not having a third one year,
- 26:31Speaker 2: you might be okay not having a couple fourths or
- 26:33Speaker 2: a second, like you know what I mean. Like it's
- 26:35Speaker 2: so and we know the Bulldogs have signings upcoming. We're
- 26:38Speaker 2: gonna see them released as the weeks come along. But
- 26:43Speaker 2: where do they go from here? Yeah?
- 26:45Speaker 3: You know, I think they gotta get picks. They gotta
- 26:47Speaker 3: get picks back. Definitely gonna make a move with a goaltender.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I doubt Ryshon Leanders makes signs his entry level deal
- 26:52Speaker 3: with the Buffalo Sabers. Obviously, the NCAA is still a thing.
- 26:57Speaker 2: What do they do there? I expect the Bulldogs to
- 26:59Speaker 2: be hungry on.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I expected to set a standard early on with veteran
- 27:03Speaker 3: players expecting to be an n picks.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Unfortunately, hey it didn't work out. Sucks, but that's the
- 27:09Speaker 2: way it goes.
- 27:10Speaker 3: And I know from the Bulldog perspective, they fully expect
- 27:14Speaker 3: Caleb maholt to be in the Vancouver Canucks.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I mean they expected to me in the NHL.
- 27:18Speaker 3: The draft lottery for Vancouver worked out perfectly perfectly for
- 27:23Speaker 3: Vancouver one Toronto two San Jose number three Kaler Malholter
- 27:27Speaker 3: of Vancouver.
- 27:28Speaker 2: It seems like the most automatic thing. He should go one.
- 27:32Speaker 3: But obviously that's not buy it at all Barry fans
- 27:36Speaker 3: in the m But yeah, no, I yeah, I uh no,
- 27:42Speaker 3: I think that.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Uh. I think Caleb Maholter goes to Vancouver.
- 27:45Speaker 3: I think it's a perfect match and I think he
- 27:49Speaker 3: has every chance. So that I saw with the Vancouver
- 27:51Speaker 3: Canucks this season, absolutely is every chance to make the
- 27:54Speaker 3: NHL out of training camp at eighteen years old, with
- 27:57Speaker 3: how he's played in the in the playoffs this pass
- 27:59Speaker 3: but season for the Bulldogs, why the next steps the NHL?
- 28:04Speaker 3: I mean you look at him with his potential will
- 28:06Speaker 3: be if he came back, I mean, he'd light.
- 28:09Speaker 2: It up like you did in the postseason.
- 28:11Speaker 3: So I think if Vancouver is the next stop, and
- 28:12Speaker 3: I think he goes number three overall to Vancouver. And
- 28:15Speaker 3: I see Jordan Henry in the comments shout out to
- 28:17Speaker 3: Chase Reid. You started to Chase Reid train last season
- 28:21Speaker 3: at the prospects game in Branford, and now we look
- 28:24Speaker 3: at it, Chase Reid. Now those are those are the
- 28:28Speaker 3: two top picks of the o HL hands down, gonna
- 28:31Speaker 3: have two top five picks.
- 28:32Speaker 2: It's gonna be killed. A Hulter and Chase Read in
- 28:34Speaker 2: the top five. It all depends on if you need
- 28:37Speaker 2: a center or if you need a defenseman. Yeah, I
- 28:41Speaker 2: think who knows. BC. Before you got on Reach, we
- 28:47Speaker 2: had to talk about that quickly. About san Jose, I.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Think I think ver hof Or to pair with Dickinson,
- 28:55Speaker 1: so they got a lot of elite forwards, so I
- 28:57Speaker 1: think I think san Jose has got to go d
- 28:59Speaker 1: But that's me.
- 29:01Speaker 2: That's fair. Yeah, Well, speaking of high end prospects on
- 29:04Speaker 2: Michael Misa and Branford for Game number five, hanging out
- 29:07Speaker 2: with Nick Lartis those twour buddies, so that was pretty
- 29:10Speaker 2: cool to see them get together for that one.

- 31:21Speaker 2: So what do you want? Hey? Anyway possible?
- 31:23Speaker 3: I can?
- 31:24Speaker 2: First off?
- 31:25Speaker 3: First off, not just because you're in the comments section.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Jordan Henry, Josh Sweetland, Colin Jennings Ohl incredible job. Incredible job.
- 31:36Speaker 3: That was a horrible situation for Josh Sweetland to go
- 31:40Speaker 3: through on Monday night for Game seven. Shout out to
- 31:43Speaker 3: those guys the way they handle that situation. That was
- 31:46Speaker 3: incredible out of them. And I'm not saying that because
- 31:49Speaker 3: you're in the comments section. I'm not even reading the
- 31:51Speaker 3: comments section anymore. But I'm just saying this right now
- 31:54Speaker 3: that no, shout out to those guys because this is
- 31:58Speaker 3: like what we saw on Monday night.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's a bad luck, but shout out to
- 32:04Speaker 2: those guys for the way they handled it. Before I
- 32:06Speaker 2: get I'll start off by saying I was not in
- 32:10Speaker 2: the building for Game seven. I thought it was a
- 32:13Speaker 2: bad look to miss work after getting promoted, and the
- 32:15Speaker 2: first day, hey, I can't be there. So I did
- 32:20Speaker 2: have it on my phone. I may have had a
- 32:21Speaker 2: three hour break at work to watch a hockey game.
- 32:24Speaker 2: In the postgame comments, it was I don't know if
- 32:32Speaker 2: a slap in the face is the right word, but
- 32:36Speaker 2: if if you didn't want to speak after your team
- 32:40Speaker 2: was denied full entry in there, I why not just
- 32:46Speaker 2: give the simple answers? Uh, you know with the Ben
- 32:49Speaker 2: Herrebit question, Yeah, he was great. I think that's better
- 32:52Speaker 2: than what was said and I get it's their team motto.
- 32:54Speaker 2: I understand that it's printed on those stupid clappers that
- 32:59Speaker 2: I still hate to this day. I am not a
- 33:02Speaker 2: fan whatsoever. Oh those are back to when I lived
- 33:05Speaker 2: in Cambridge went to Ranger games and those would be
- 33:07Speaker 2: the thing on the seats. I'd be like, oh, where's
- 33:08Speaker 2: the towels? And because I'd get bored after the game.
- 33:15Speaker 2: So so that happens, social media blows up like we
- 33:19Speaker 2: expected it to. The commissioner makes a statement on it.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Thanks to Josh Brown, you can go read that now
- 33:26Speaker 2: Waterloo Region Record. Josh Brown does a heck of a
- 33:30Speaker 2: job covering the Kitchener Rangers will be all over the
- 33:32Speaker 2: OHL Championship series. He wrote something about it and then yeah, yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 2: here's the here's the quote from it. The commissioner essentially said,
- 33:42Speaker 2: not good. Yeah, we expect them to handle themselves in
- 33:46Speaker 2: an appropriate manner and participate with the media with the
- 33:49Speaker 2: standards that we expect in the league in the way
- 33:52Speaker 2: they have done traditionally. And again, for some context for anyone,
- 33:58Speaker 2: this was because they are not allowed more than just
- 34:01Speaker 2: the one player in the dressing room. If you have
- 34:05Speaker 2: been to Branford, you know how big those rooms are.
- 34:08Speaker 2: That was not happening, even if they were allowed to.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That was not happening based off of how big that
- 34:13Speaker 2: room was. And that's why the Civic Center is a
- 34:15Speaker 2: temporary building in Branford and a new one is being
- 34:18Speaker 2: constructed as we speak. That is, and I had a
- 34:24Speaker 2: whole rant planned. You know how fired up we were
- 34:27Speaker 2: last night, BC, myself, Colin Ward, we were you know,
- 34:30Speaker 2: for lack of a better term, pissed off about that.
- 34:33Speaker 2: And again I was not in the building. I'm watching
- 34:35Speaker 2: this on flow and we're not gonna play the clip.
- 34:39Speaker 2: It's all over social media. You can find it if
- 34:40Speaker 2: you want. That felt like they didn't get their way,
- 34:46Speaker 2: so they threw a fit like a five year old.
- 34:50Speaker 2: That's just my personal opinion on it. I'm not going
- 34:53Speaker 2: to go into it any any deeper. Smskwitz went on
- 34:57Speaker 2: overdrive to apologize for it. I have some thoughts in
- 35:01Speaker 2: the building. I'm not gonna get to it. Colin was
- 35:05Speaker 2: one of the guys there, Jean was there, Brian was there.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Maybe Jean's been in Barry for years. It's covered this
- 35:17Speaker 2: team for years. Yeah, but where's the respect for him?
- 35:22Speaker 2: That's what bothered me. Yeah, in that moment. And I
- 35:25Speaker 2: understand there was an article still written with better quotes,
- 35:29Speaker 2: so that was obviously done afterwards. But where's the respect
- 35:35Speaker 2: up front? And it just I didn't like it. I
- 35:40Speaker 2: thought it was just, you know, you threw a fit
- 35:42Speaker 2: because you didn't get your way. That That's kind of
- 35:44Speaker 2: the way I look at it. It's unfortunate. I'm gonna
- 35:47Speaker 2: leave it at that. Off of this conference finals victory,
- 35:51Speaker 2: could Barry win absolutely? Is it gonna be tough without Bodwin? Yep?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Is Sam O'Reilly the best player in junior hockey right now?
- 36:01Speaker 2: He's in the top five right now in the playoffs.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Been that good, It's gonna be hard. So so ride
- 36:09Speaker 2: the high now. That's all I've got to say, Colin,
- 36:12Speaker 2: you can you can have the floor now, Yeah, go ahead. Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Going through that, that was the most disrespect that I've
- 36:19Speaker 3: ever been in sports. It's the most disrespectful thing I've
- 36:22Speaker 3: ever saw with my own two eyes. Honestly, Like I said,
- 36:25Speaker 3: I felt bad for everybody in that room. Work your
- 36:28Speaker 3: butt off to get there, cover the game, you're thinking
- 36:30Speaker 3: throughout the game, questions to ask, and then that's what
- 36:32Speaker 3: you get. I really do regret asking not asking a
- 36:36Speaker 3: question like I really do wish I would ask a
- 36:38Speaker 3: question like an important question where if you dodge it
- 36:42Speaker 3: it looks even worse. But hey, I guess you got
- 36:45Speaker 3: to show a little bit of respect even though we
- 36:47Speaker 3: got zero. Like I said, it was the most disrespectful
- 36:50Speaker 3: thing I've ever went through.
- 36:51Speaker 2: That was a joke.
- 36:53Speaker 3: And people can talk online and I yes, we're with
- 36:57Speaker 3: the bulldogs.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yes, it's no secret.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Getting some of the messages I've had on my posts
- 37:03Speaker 3: game on our Facebook group is ridiculous. Some of the
- 37:08Speaker 3: slurs that had to endure from Barry Colt fans to
- 37:11Speaker 3: this afternoon and Monday night is a complete joke. It's
- 37:15Speaker 3: a complete joke, the Barry cults. I can honestly say this,
- 37:19Speaker 3: and I know fans, you guys can go after me.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care. I know my hairline
- 37:23Speaker 2: looks like a clown, thank you, But my girlfriend loves it,
- 37:26Speaker 2: so that's all that matters. You know.
- 37:28Speaker 3: What it really bugged me was when I see the
- 37:31Speaker 3: fans on there, like sending messages and like all the
- 37:35Speaker 3: comments that I got about it, I had to like
- 37:37Speaker 3: in our Facebook group, we did delete fifty seven messages,
- 37:42Speaker 3: fifty seven messages throughout the last day, on not even
- 37:45Speaker 3: a day, on every single thing about slurs about coaches
- 37:51Speaker 3: on the Bulldogs personal like it really does tick me off.
- 37:56Speaker 3: And just because we made an opinion on what had
- 38:00Speaker 3: to endure after the game, like, hey, I don't think
- 38:03Speaker 3: it's been a secret, And any Barry coult fan, anyone
- 38:07Speaker 3: that's listening to the show, my apologies if I'm biased,
- 38:09Speaker 3: My apologies to that. But I want to say this
- 38:12Speaker 3: right now, back when they talk about about three four
- 38:15Speaker 3: months ago, I believe BC even had a reel on
- 38:18Speaker 3: it about Hison. I was one of the first ones saying,
- 38:21Speaker 3: I think Ahison's one of the only guys in the
- 38:24Speaker 3: OHL that could play right now in the AHL, and
- 38:27Speaker 3: we had that rant about it. Yeah, I picked Barry
- 38:29Speaker 3: to win the division, them to make the third round.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I picked them to buy So I don't know what
- 38:35Speaker 2: that is.
- 38:36Speaker 3: But the Colts fans going after about that, it's really frustrating.
- 38:41Speaker 2: It was a long night last night.
- 38:44Speaker 3: But to see that and to see how the OHL
- 38:47Speaker 3: conducted that, the way they handled that.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Was incredible, was incredible.
- 38:51Speaker 3: And the only reason why we wonder why people are
- 38:55Speaker 3: dying off from covering teams and how hard is this
- 38:59Speaker 3: to cover a team? Well, if you don't give people
- 39:01Speaker 3: access media access, to have an opportunity to move up
- 39:06Speaker 3: and to get opportunity. Jeff Merritt tweeted out perfectly how
- 39:11Speaker 3: every person in the Entil Hockey League is doing it
- 39:13Speaker 3: for an opportunity to get to somewhere, somewhere they dream
- 39:16Speaker 3: about going and to get that because you're bigger than
- 39:20Speaker 3: the team. Okay, buddy, Okay, good luck. That's why I
- 39:24Speaker 3: said after the game Rangers in three, I have like
- 39:27Speaker 3: I said, it comes around, goes around. I don't believe.
- 39:30Speaker 3: I don't believe when bad people get good things. I
- 39:34Speaker 3: was always told as the kid growing up, good things
- 39:37Speaker 3: happen to good people.
- 39:38Speaker 2: It's obviously not true. That was frustrating. It was.
- 39:42Speaker 3: It was a frustrating night. It's been a frustrating day,
- 39:45Speaker 3: and anyone that wants to complain about it, grow up, anyone,
- 39:48Speaker 3: And honestly, I don't even care about myself. People going
- 39:52Speaker 3: after players messages to players on social media is such
- 39:56Speaker 3: a joke, like have fun, have fun, like thanks for
- 39:59Speaker 3: supporting in the league, thanks for supporting the series, thank you.
- 40:03Speaker 3: But to go after what gives you the right to
- 40:06Speaker 3: go after a player on social media and stuff like
- 40:10Speaker 3: that as a.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Fan is a joke.
- 40:12Speaker 3: It's a joke, and I don't want I don't even
- 40:14Speaker 3: care if I offend anybody on my apologies, my apologies
- 40:18Speaker 3: for being biased. I'm sorry, Barry cult fans, but that
- 40:21Speaker 3: was out of line. I don't care Game four and
- 40:25Speaker 3: for those another thing too, because I've had a few
- 40:28Speaker 3: I've had a few messages about this too. Few Berry
- 40:31Speaker 3: Colts fans coming after me, reach Brandon. We know how
- 40:34Speaker 3: press conferences work. We know how press conferences work. You
- 40:38Speaker 3: look at when the Bulldogs talk first. We always get
- 40:41Speaker 3: the first questions. Reese, you and I usually being with
- 40:45Speaker 3: the team, you get the first questions. So usually Barry speaks,
- 40:51Speaker 3: Barry gets the first questions.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Shout out to Gene.
- 40:56Speaker 3: That's yeah, why not what do we have to ask?
- 40:59Speaker 3: You know, if Gene has like five questions to ask,
- 41:02Speaker 3: the sixth question usually isn't really interesting anyways, So Barry
- 41:06Speaker 3: cult fans coming after me about this about oh well,
- 41:11Speaker 3: where was Bulldog fans in Game four? Where were Bulldog
- 41:14Speaker 3: fans in Game three? When the Bulldogs went six to
- 41:18Speaker 3: one and nobody showed up to the Colts press conference.
- 41:21Speaker 3: One one you look, you go back and watch the
- 41:25Speaker 3: press conferences. Go back and watch the press conferences. That's
- 41:29Speaker 3: how it goes. Gene asked the first questions rightly, So
- 41:33Speaker 3: any other Barry media ask the questions first. Why wouldn't
- 41:37Speaker 3: that be a thing. So I just want to describe
- 41:40Speaker 3: that how usually press conferences goes Breese.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Am I wrong? BC? Am I wrong about that? That's
- 41:45Speaker 2: usually I know, like BC with the Ice Dogs.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Before, like it's a pecking order, you know, Like, I
- 41:53Speaker 3: don't know, Maybe I'm wrong.
- 41:54Speaker 2: We don't work for the New York Post. We're not
- 41:57Speaker 2: fighting for questions. That's not how the.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Disrespect thing for people to cover the team all season,
- 42:04Speaker 3: the amount of years have covered the team, that's how it's.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Got to go. Rees.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I just have one statement I want to make on
- 42:09Speaker 1: it and then move on. Is that I feel bad
- 42:12Speaker 1: for the media that we're in attendance. I was not
- 42:15Speaker 1: obviously I had other commitments or I probably would have
- 42:17Speaker 1: been there for that. And for the media members who
- 42:19Speaker 1: take the time to drive up, use their gas, stay
- 42:22Speaker 1: for the game, sacrifice their time and effort to be
- 42:25Speaker 1: able to attend these games as media I thought that
- 42:28Speaker 1: was a disrespectful act to them, and we have a
- 42:32Speaker 1: job to do as the media as well, and I
- 42:34Speaker 1: feel like they didn't allow us to do our job
- 42:36Speaker 1: in that sense. And I wasn't even there, but if
- 42:38Speaker 1: I was there, I would have probably felt the same way.
- 42:41Speaker 1: And I just hope that there's a mutual respect going
- 42:43Speaker 1: forward between showing up for the team but also showing
- 42:46Speaker 1: up for the media after the game. And that's part
- 42:48Speaker 1: of the reason why we go, or else we could
- 42:50Speaker 1: have just watched the game from home at that point. Yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 1: that's the only thing I want to say about it.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And again I give Smaskawitz a little bit of credit
- 42:59Speaker 1: for taking ownership of it. Like Colin said, he did
- 43:02Speaker 1: it an overdrive instead of maybe could have done it
- 43:04Speaker 1: through the OHL.
- 43:06Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Call us, there's only six of us there. Make the
- 43:08Speaker 3: phone call, make the text message. It's not that hard
- 43:11Speaker 3: to get ahold.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Of us apologize. That's a meaningful apology.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Going on a national television show like that isn't really
- 43:18Speaker 3: an apology. It to make yourself look good for your
- 43:20Speaker 3: own image itself, making yourself look good.
- 43:23Speaker 2: It doesn't do anything for the media. That wasn't affected.
- 43:25Speaker 3: That's the way I take it that I have an
- 43:29Speaker 3: interviews in the morning shows, but they won't do a
- 43:31Speaker 3: pregame interview.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I just don't like that that the other outlets were
- 43:35Speaker 1: putting it out there. Are supposed to be supporting our
- 43:37Speaker 1: league and hopefully, unfortunately this overshadowed a great series. That's
- 43:42Speaker 1: that's the part that I that hurts me the most
- 43:44Speaker 1: is that it overshadowed a fantastic seven game Eastern Conference
- 43:48Speaker 1: Final series. And this is where we're at.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Yeah, a game seven for the first time, and that's
- 43:53Speaker 3: what we had to do after this was.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Got from the winning team. We never got any answers. Yeah,
- 44:01Speaker 2: And I mean, I'll just finish it off with this
- 44:03Speaker 2: and and Brandon, I think you put it perfectly there.
- 44:05Speaker 2: People are taking the time out to come and do this.
- 44:08Speaker 2: You know, newspaper writers get paid to do this. Don't
- 44:10Speaker 2: get me wrong, I'm not stupid. I know that. You know,
- 44:14Speaker 2: some broadcasters receive compensation on the on the cable networks,
- 44:18Speaker 2: the radio broadcasters, they they get paid to broadcast the
- 44:23Speaker 2: games on the radio. When it comes to us, specifically,
- 44:30Speaker 2: do Colin and I have a partnership with the Bulldogs
- 44:32Speaker 2: to host a weekly Bulldogs podcast. Absolutely we do. Do
- 44:35Speaker 2: we help read out with segments for road games on intermissions, Yeah,
- 44:40Speaker 2: we do. He'll he'll use clips from our show. We'll
- 44:42Speaker 2: clip them for them and or or let them know,
- 44:45Speaker 2: you know, time stamp each part of the show and
- 44:47Speaker 2: he can play those on the show. Brandon had had
- 44:51Speaker 2: a fairly long partnership with the Niger Ice Dogs and
- 44:54Speaker 2: was there twenty four to seven and he's no longer
- 44:57Speaker 2: with that club.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I just drove the winsor for two games as well.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and none of these teams are paying us. For
- 45:05Speaker 2: anyone wondering, Brandon, You've got sponsors for the network, They've
- 45:08Speaker 2: been loyal to you. You've got a great thing going here. Obviously,
- 45:13Speaker 2: this is your full time job for us. It's for
- 45:16Speaker 2: Colin and I. It's not. Do we have aspirations to,
- 45:21Speaker 2: you know, move up somewhere sometime one hundred percent. You know,
- 45:25Speaker 2: Colin Ward grew up a London Nights fan. I grew
- 45:27Speaker 2: up in Windsor admired Mickey Reno. You know, I'd moved
- 45:32Speaker 2: to Cambridge before this Spitfire Memorial Cup years but it
- 45:36Speaker 2: was still a hell of a lot fun to watch.
- 45:39Speaker 2: I was in front of my great grandmother's television, a small,
- 45:43Speaker 2: little like thing because she was like ninety two at
- 45:47Speaker 2: the time. I think maybe maybe a little bit younger.
- 45:50Speaker 2: But I watched Game seven when when the spitfires completed
- 45:54Speaker 2: the reverse sweep of the of the Rangers. So for us,
- 45:58Speaker 2: we we do this because we want to go somewhere
- 46:00Speaker 2: with this. We went to broadcasting school, Colin, and I
- 46:03Speaker 2: did shout out Niagara College, shoutout Mohawks. Colin, Hey, yeah,
- 46:08Speaker 2: that's but yeah, I mean, it's really unfortunate how that
- 46:12Speaker 2: series ended, you know, for us covering the Bulldogs for
- 46:16Speaker 2: one thing, but just just as an overall hockey fan,
- 46:20Speaker 2: it was really unfortunate. So we're done with that. We're
- 46:23Speaker 2: gonna talk about Winsor and Kitchener before we preview the
- 46:25Speaker 2: Ontario Hockey League Championship series. Uh, this series was way
- 46:29Speaker 2: closer than it appeared, much like it seems like a
- 46:31Speaker 2: few of these matchups have been throughout the postseason. But
- 46:34Speaker 2: to catch the Rangers win in five games. They win
- 46:36Speaker 2: four games to one. That includes overtime games in game
- 46:40Speaker 2: one and in game number five. This was tight, Colin.
- 46:45Speaker 2: You know, maybe other than Game four in terms of goals.
- 46:49Speaker 2: But other than that, like and and I said it
- 46:52Speaker 2: off the top. Mike Farwell had a great tweet about it.
- 46:56Speaker 2: If a certain three shots go win for the Spitfires,
- 46:58Speaker 2: they're off to the OHL Championship Series. And the Rangers
- 47:01Speaker 2: are in a similar spot to the Bulldogs, Like, well,
- 47:03Speaker 2: we went all in for the Rangers. It's because they
- 47:05Speaker 2: didn't get the Memorial Cup next year. But they're in
- 47:09Speaker 2: the same spot, right, And that's just the way things go.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Spit Fires loaded up as well. They made a big
- 47:13Speaker 2: trade with the UH with the Subbury Wolves, sending j c.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Lemu up there to get more experience, get a little
- 47:18Speaker 2: bit older, you know, and try and go after this thing.
- 47:21Speaker 2: And and you know, shout out to Joey Costanzo, who
- 47:24Speaker 2: played his heart out in this series and in the playoffs.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Show guests not a big deal. It was really good
- 47:29Speaker 2: and and Kitchen Rangers were just better, you know, on
- 47:33Speaker 2: on certain nights. And and sure the Spitfires, I thought,
- 47:36Speaker 2: we're really really good in Game three, and we're gonna
- 47:40Speaker 2: have a really nice effort the next time. And sure
- 47:43Speaker 2: they go up three to nothing in game number five.
- 47:46Speaker 2: But that's just the way it goes sometimes. And shout
- 47:48Speaker 2: out to the Rangers for being, you know, tougher to
- 47:51Speaker 2: play against uh for a whole sixty minutes. And the
- 47:53Speaker 2: Spitfires were because it seems like that's what it came
- 47:55Speaker 2: down to, is, especially in Game five, you go up
- 47:58Speaker 2: three to nothing and then there's a little bit of
- 48:01Speaker 2: you know, you get a little bit of comfort going
- 48:03Speaker 2: up three to nothing, not saying that was the case
- 48:04Speaker 2: with the bit Fires, but the Rangers were like, cool,
- 48:08Speaker 2: three nothing still the first period, We're still gonna play hockey,
- 48:10Speaker 2: and they did and they ended up winning the game
- 48:12Speaker 2: in the series that night. Yeah, you know, winsor windsor.
- 48:15Speaker 3: I thought, like you mentioned, you go back to Game three,
- 48:19Speaker 3: you get the win like that, you think, well, hey,
- 48:21Speaker 3: game four is huge. Game fours from the postseason history
- 48:25Speaker 3: is always the biggest game. It's divider when it's a
- 48:27Speaker 3: two to one series like that, three to one, two
- 48:31Speaker 3: two two, big difference.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Obviously, Barry overcame that for Winter. They couldn't. I don't
- 48:37Speaker 2: I don't quite know. I'm not quite.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Sure why couldn't overcome that, But it's a tough one. Obviously,
- 48:41Speaker 3: Kitchen was a really good team coming down the stretch.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I can't believe I didn't pick them again, Sue, But incredible,
- 48:49Speaker 3: they're they're a really good team. I mean, they're the
- 48:51Speaker 3: favorites in the finals, no doubt, and I think Perry
- 48:53Speaker 3: likes it that way.
- 48:54Speaker 2: For Windsor, I mean, Joey Costanzo was incredible. What a
- 48:58Speaker 2: junior career he had.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Uh yeah, obviously tough to see it come to an end,
- 49:03Speaker 3: but uh it's too bad. But for Windsor, I mean, yeah,
- 49:07Speaker 3: like you mentioned three shots seriously a different way, and
- 49:11Speaker 3: I mean it's a big three shots. But you think
- 49:13Speaker 3: about when you go to ot twice in the series, right,
- 49:16Speaker 3: like you get a couple of bounces there, you got
- 49:18Speaker 3: one bounce.
- 49:18Speaker 2: It goes for you.
- 49:20Speaker 3: There's two bounces that you get right on to defeat.
- 49:23Speaker 3: So that's even makes it even tougher. As we uh, as.
- 49:26Speaker 1: We talk about that series, I'll just say, you guys,
- 49:29Speaker 1: that were monsters necessary Samuel Riley and Dylan Edwards.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Oh man, so Edward here, I'll ask you. I'll ask
- 49:35Speaker 2: you guys this throwing a stick in the crowd, is
- 49:39Speaker 2: that the same as shooting a Teddy Bear or a
- 49:40Speaker 2: puck into the crowd? Not who's gonna come with that. Nothing,
- 49:46Speaker 2: I don't think so. But yeah, it's been a conversation.
- 49:48Speaker 2: I don't think anything's coming of it either, but I
- 49:50Speaker 2: mean it's the same thing. Anyways. We want to touch
- 49:56Speaker 2: on Liam green Tree before we get to the Ontario
- 49:58Speaker 2: Hockey League Championship series. You know there it's tough to
- 50:03Speaker 2: watch press conferences and like this when it uh when
- 50:07Speaker 2: it comes to guys ending their seasons and and their
- 50:09Speaker 2: junior careers. Liam green Tree, that was a tough watch.
- 50:15Speaker 2: You know. He goes on to say, it's been the
- 50:16Speaker 2: best four years of my life and and being part
- 50:19Speaker 2: of such a historic organization like Windsor is is such
- 50:22Speaker 2: an honor to put that jersey on every game and
- 50:25Speaker 2: play for them. Just an experience that will never forget.
- 50:28Speaker 2: I love Windsor so much. And I mean you got
- 50:32Speaker 2: you saw that with Oliver pier Too joining the intermission
- 50:35Speaker 2: there in Windsor about how much he Loveraham being a spitfire.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Abrahams as well. Yeah, it was, Uh, it was tough.
- 50:46Speaker 2: I mean, it's part of the business obviously. Greg Walters
- 50:49Speaker 2: I thought put it pretty well as also he was
- 50:52Speaker 2: asked about Joey Costanzo, But yeah, that's that's a classy guy,
- 50:58Speaker 2: Liam green Tree, and it's gonna suck not see him
- 51:01Speaker 2: in a Spitfire uniform in the future. He's so competitive.
- 51:04Speaker 2: He's one of the most competitive players.
- 51:05Speaker 3: I know that's an easy cliche to say in the
- 51:07Speaker 3: interial Hockey League, but he's literally the definition of competitive.
- 51:10Speaker 3: I mean Liam green Tree, the career he had and
- 51:12Speaker 3: like you mentioned, it's not always about points. He had
- 51:15Speaker 3: a good season in the point depart remember, but it's
- 51:16Speaker 3: not always about points with him. He brings an identity.
- 51:18Speaker 3: He brings a heartbeat, he's he's gonna smile. Oh what
- 51:24Speaker 3: they know front teeth on the profile picture in the
- 51:25Speaker 3: OHL website. Absolutely, yeah, he he was unreal.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Uh, everything about him is competitiveness.
- 51:33Speaker 3: I love the I love the clip from LA when
- 51:37Speaker 3: him talking about the you want it with with the
- 51:40Speaker 3: perfect game with Sanos.
- 51:42Speaker 2: I believe that was unbelievable that clip.
- 51:44Speaker 3: That's Liam green Tree and I mean brings it every night,
- 51:48Speaker 3: just a it's tough.
- 51:50Speaker 2: It's a tough way to end. It's a tough way
- 51:51Speaker 2: to end.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Obviously the quote was something it's always nice and that's
- 51:56Speaker 3: the that's the beauty of the OHL. We talked about
- 51:59Speaker 3: the negative unfortunately, and you see the beauty of the
- 52:03Speaker 3: OHL with Liam green Tree and that was unbelievable.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Okay, before we round out the show,
- 52:13Speaker 2: we got to get to the OHL Championship Series and
- 52:15Speaker 2: this will again, this will be the last time we'll
- 52:17Speaker 2: record throughout the entire series. Whether it goes four, whether
- 52:20Speaker 2: it goes seven. We will chat with you in between
- 52:22Speaker 2: the OHL Championship conclusion and the Memorial Cup in Kelowna,
- 52:29Speaker 2: b C. The Colona Rockets are out of the playoffs
- 52:32Speaker 2: by the way, they were eliminated in the second round,
- 52:34Speaker 2: so they are sitting and waiting. Preparations are currently underway
- 52:39Speaker 2: and one of these two teams will take the flight
- 52:42Speaker 2: out west. The Barry Colts and the Kitchener Rangers. Rangers
- 52:45Speaker 2: have just lost two games in the entire postseason. The
- 52:49Speaker 2: longest the series has gone has been five, and that's
- 52:52Speaker 2: been in back to back matchups. Of course, five with
- 52:54Speaker 2: the Sous, five with the winsor Spitfires. As for the
- 52:58Speaker 2: Barry Colts, not a lot of time to regroup and
- 53:02Speaker 2: get ready. Twelve four and one. Throughout the playoffs so
- 53:05Speaker 2: far they've dropped five games, but it really doesn't make
- 53:08Speaker 2: a difference how many you lose. It matters how many
- 53:10Speaker 2: you win. And if you're at twelve wins, who cares
- 53:13Speaker 2: what the number is next to it? And for the
- 53:15Speaker 2: Barry Colts, and it's weird because Colin growing up as
- 53:20Speaker 2: baseball guys and you obviously played travel hockey as well.
- 53:25Speaker 2: You know, we know how difficult it is, at least
- 53:27Speaker 2: for baseball clubs. You know, you sweep in the league
- 53:31Speaker 2: championship series and you've got to sit and wait for
- 53:34Speaker 2: the World Series to begin. More times than not you're
- 53:36Speaker 2: gonna lose. Where is hockey? Yeah, sure, you get tired out,
- 53:41Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong. It's it's tough. It's physical, especially
- 53:44Speaker 2: what that series was between the Bulldogs and Colts. But
- 53:48Speaker 2: but you're playing, You've got reps. It's a game situation, right,
- 53:53Speaker 2: you know you sure you can create scrimmages in practice.
- 53:55Speaker 2: And it's not like the Rangers have had two weeks
- 53:57Speaker 2: off by any means, but they've been sitting and waiting.
- 54:00Speaker 2: The Barry Colts have been hanging out. And I look
- 54:04Speaker 2: back to twenty twenty two Colin Bulldogs three straight sweeps Spitfires,
- 54:08Speaker 2: coming off a seven game series against Flint Firebirds winsor
- 54:12Speaker 2: takes Game one in overtime. Obviously, Hamilton went on to
- 54:15Speaker 2: win that series, But does it really make a big
- 54:19Speaker 2: difference whether or not the Colts sat for three four
- 54:23Speaker 2: days whereas the Rangers. I believe they're fon four or
- 54:26Speaker 2: five days right now. So yeah, quick turnaround for one
- 54:32Speaker 2: and let's get back at her for the other. No,
- 54:35Speaker 2: I love this for the Colts. I think if you're
- 54:36Speaker 2: the Colts, you love this.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Obviously you gotta work harder, but I think that I
- 54:41Speaker 3: think for the way Ben horabits playing. You want to start,
- 54:43Speaker 3: you want one day off, you're on that same routine
- 54:45Speaker 3: that you can after the last two weeks. I think
- 54:48Speaker 3: you love this. If you're Barry, I think this game
- 54:50Speaker 3: one actually favors Barry. I think the way Ben Horabics played,
- 54:54Speaker 3: with the way their defensive coverage has been, with the
- 54:56Speaker 3: way I mean they've won their last three games, right,
- 54:59Speaker 3: I mean you look at that, right, You want to play,
- 55:01Speaker 3: you don't want the time off.
- 55:02Speaker 2: So I think for the Barry Colts, his favors the
- 55:04Speaker 2: Barry Colts, I think, and they're clearly okay with getting
- 55:07Speaker 2: out shot like that's been the case for the last.
- 55:11Speaker 2: So you've got Ben goal cares, how many shots the
- 55:14Speaker 2: other team gets, the.
- 55:15Speaker 3: Way your goaltending is playing, the way your goalie is,
- 55:17Speaker 3: the way Ben Herebk's playing. You know, it doesn't matter
- 55:20Speaker 3: the way Ben Herebik is playing. It does not matter
- 55:22Speaker 3: how many shots against. He's gonna stop everything he sees.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Even if he doesn't see it, he's gonna stop it.
- 55:28Speaker 3: You get up moving, he's gonna make it. Save. You
- 55:30Speaker 3: see the shorthanded chance that the Bulldogs had in Game seven,
- 55:34Speaker 3: he makes a big pad save on a breakaway on
- 55:36Speaker 3: jet Lichenko, makes a big backdoor save. Every single thing
- 55:40Speaker 3: that he's done, I mean, you can see it coming.
- 55:44Speaker 3: I mean, if you're the Barry Colts, you want to
- 55:45Speaker 3: play right away, and that's the way it has to be.
- 55:48Speaker 3: If you're the Barry Colts, you want to go right
- 55:50Speaker 3: back to it. Obviously, Cole Bodwin going down, I doubt
- 55:53Speaker 3: he's available for the series with the issue he has.
- 55:57Speaker 3: I may have matched it with the oblique. That's a
- 55:59Speaker 3: tough one. Obviously, they're banged up. Both teams are banged
- 56:02Speaker 3: up at this time of the year. I mean, I'm
- 56:04Speaker 3: sure Kitchener has their bumps that's where those that time
- 56:07Speaker 3: off does help the Kitchener Rangers. But I truly believe
- 56:10Speaker 3: that in Game one, in Game one, the Verry Colts
- 56:14Speaker 3: the way they've been playing, they just come out of
- 56:15Speaker 3: a big, big series. The one thing is do they
- 56:19Speaker 3: have a little hangover from Monday night? Do they have
- 56:22Speaker 3: a little Game seven hangover where they have a slow
- 56:24Speaker 3: start and you have to get back to that adjustin
- 56:26Speaker 3: that feeling out period that sometimes teams have in these situations,
- 56:31Speaker 3: because that has been a thing that has been a
- 56:33Speaker 3: thing where you got to no team, especially out of conference.
- 56:35Speaker 3: I mean that could possibly be Game one where it's
- 56:38Speaker 3: a feel it out and then at the further we
- 56:40Speaker 3: go in a series, the more it comes on.
- 56:42Speaker 2: But you never know.
- 56:44Speaker 3: But I'm gonna say right now in Game one, it
- 56:46Speaker 3: favors Barry Colts for sure, with Ben Herebic the way
- 56:48Speaker 3: he's played in net.
- 56:49Speaker 2: So what's your prediction for this one? Morty? Before we
- 56:52Speaker 2: wrap it up here?
- 56:54Speaker 3: So not being after being disrespected, I said Rangers in three.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Obviously that can't happen. I'm gonna say Rangers and sex.
- 57:05Speaker 2: I'm going to Rangers in five. The way that Barry's
- 57:08Speaker 2: gonna get a game or two. They will. Yeah, I mean,
- 57:12Speaker 2: I'm yeah, we're gonna leave it at that. I was
- 57:16Speaker 2: about to say something, but yeah, it wasn't gonna be nice.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna shut my mouth. That does it for our
- 57:22Speaker 2: second ever live show here on the Ohl and sixty Podcast.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Appreciate everybody tuning in. You know again, it's unfortunate to
- 57:30Speaker 2: see our faces. But hey, we we we move on,
- 57:32Speaker 2: We press on. It's all right, we'll work harder next time.
