- 0:21with Wayne Gandy. You Bill began doing up can you win me against Frank
- 0:28men dot Com? To come from podcat it comes to block? Is it
- 0:33just I'm gonna do it begin, I'm gonna go on the way you vegan.
- 0:42Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48I'm the sport Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there listening.
- 0:52Lane, glad to be here with you on this last Monday of April.
- 0:57Rolling into May. NBA playoffs going hot and heavy all around. Why is
- 1:03nobody throwing rotting tomatoes at KD or Steph? Yeah, oh, y'all waste
- 1:11them all on the King the other Knights. Y'all have no more. Y'all
- 1:14just do them all at him. I'm reaching around for some tomatoes and they're
- 1:21all gone. The Minnesota Timberwolves doing their business last night, got a lot
- 1:26of NBA to hit on. The Lakers will play the night still trying to
- 1:30survive and Lebrun. As soon as the game over, just go to your
- 1:36locker room and take Vanderbilt's clothes, Vincent's clothes, all them guys that you
- 1:44brought in cam ready and burn them because they didn't they didn't do help you
- 1:48do nothing this year. They just over there, fashion plates, pail bottom,
- 1:53big shoes, all that. They didn't. They didn't help the Lakers
- 1:57try to do anything in this season. The producer is back, which is
- 2:01you know, some kind of mixing. It could be good, it could
- 2:06be bad, but we're gonna try to continue on and give you and entertain
- 2:12you. As you know. The NFL Draft it should be over. I
- 2:16need to go through the channels. It could still be going on. Who
- 2:20knows. I didn't there's around twenty two. I didn't even check the first
- 2:25round out. It was a draft as we had predicted. First round went
- 2:31for about four hours a by the time they got around to the Chiefs.
- 2:36Who did the Chiefs take with that last pick of the first round? The
- 2:40guy did that? Other guy had played at the Universe from the other school,
- 2:45from that place. I knew he was. He was talked about a
- 2:47lot. They had some expectations for him, but no surprise at the top,
- 2:53with Caleb Williams going off the board to the Chicago Bears Jays. The
- 3:00big question was that how would the order go for the top three teams.
- 3:06Everybody suspected that they each would take a quarterback. Only team that had kind
- 3:10of declared was the Bears of taking Caleb Williams at two, jayde and Daniels
- 3:15at three, Drake May And then the best player in the draft all around,
- 3:22Marvin Harrison Junior went forth to Arizona. J Alt goes to the Chargers.
- 3:31They need an offensive line bad out there when you're trying to protect Herbert
- 3:38in that pocket. And then Neighbors going to the Giants, Giants trying to
- 3:44find something to give Daniel Jones a weapon offensive tackle. Latham out of Alabama
- 3:51going to the Tennessee Titans, and then the conversation that everybody wanted to get
- 3:55on as soon as it happened, quarterback of Washington Michael Pennett Junior gets drafted
- 4:04by the Falcons. And then that's when my phone went to buzzing and buzzing
- 4:13and buzzing and buzzing about the buzzing so fast you're not even giving me time
- 4:17to answer. Can can I tell you what they never get? You ever
- 4:21got text so fast like I can't, and you're still you're still texting me.
- 4:28You know why that happens, sir. They wanted a lot of re
- 4:30numbers because you you know stuff people don't know because you said it on the
- 4:34show. I did, you said it on the show. I think the
- 4:36Falcons need to pick a quarterback and let him sit back there behind Kirk Cousins,
- 4:42and then in a couple of years he'll be ready. And what did
- 4:45the Falcons do because they tuned into this show? I know they tuned into
- 4:48the show. You know they tuned into the show. They listen to what
- 4:50you said, They went quarterback and then this city of ungrateful heathens, he
- 4:56did Heathen's on the radio. You can say it. We'll find out by
- 5:02the end of the FCC don't have at the old Christian state on the Christian
- 5:06side. You can say heathens. The heathens that call themselves Falcon fans that
- 5:16don't know anything about trying to build a championship. I only know about big
- 5:23names and being programmed. I've never seen a city so programmed by whatever the
- 5:30television tells them. That's all the that's all the information. They're limited to
- 5:34whatever person they like on TV to talk. They don't have imagination. Uh,
- 5:41and that's what this pick is. This pick is imagination. This pick
- 5:45is I solved two problems with one pick. I got a backup quarterback and
- 5:55I got my future quarterback with one pick. There's no backup on the roster,
- 6:02and two years from now, most likely based on injury, based on
- 6:08health, kirk Cousins be thirty eight thirty nine. I already got somebody planning
- 6:15to play the position. It's as simple as that. You said you wanted
- 6:19some quarterbacks. All you did was coming here and call into the show the
- 6:23bad producer. Uh, really rid of this? Dude? Is okay?
- 6:27Now? When it got you a bunch of quarterbacks and you're not satisfied,
- 6:30he and he's black much satisfies guys like the bad producer left hand, he
- 6:36and the rest of Atlanta. I mean, because he would have he would
- 6:41have body in justin fields unproven, just because justin fields. I'm happy it
- 6:45was a It was a good pick as far as where I think they're trying
- 6:48to go with it, so that regardless of kirk cousins health, they have
- 6:53the future. They're in the young quarterback market. Now, they're not a
- 6:57team with just an old quarterback and nothing young. So two years from now,
- 7:03when all those other guys turned twenty five, twenty six, so were
- 7:08Michael Pennant's the whole division. You're looking at other teams getting the Strouds and
- 7:15those young players, Well, they're going to be the same age. He
- 7:18just may not have had played for two years right in a starting role.
- 7:25And I said, this is most famously been done in the last thirty years
- 7:28by the Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers have started this state.
- 7:35They had farv They didn't wait the far last throw to draft Rogers. They
- 7:43got far moved on. They drafted Jordan Love three four years ago. They
- 7:47didn't wait to Aaron's last throw right to start thinking about you just started thinking
- 7:54about it. He was like, oh yeah, I don't think he can
- 7:58do this no more. Let's go get us. Well it's good for the
- 8:01Falcons also because of cat Wise, because once the two years is up with
- 8:07Kirk Cousin and Atlanta fans don't look at the cap and I want to sign,
- 8:11We'll be able to sign Drake and everybody back that we got. Now
- 8:16money will be free, and that's where the imagination's coming, don't I don't
- 8:20necessarily That's the thing, y'all are too entrusted into players on the falcons that
- 8:26had not shown me anything to be the guy. None of it, none
- 8:30of it. I'm still waiting on Drake May I mean London to show up.
- 8:35And he been with the team. I mean he looks nice in the
- 8:37uniform, but he ain't done nothing. He's not made me think, oh,
- 8:41let me give you one hundred million dollar extensions. And why why in
- 8:45Atlanta are we always having to defend wise decisions like no, no, this
- 8:50is a good decision. The team will benefit from this, and everybody's upset
- 8:54about a wise decision that the organization made. Why is that with Atlanta faan
- 9:00they looking at the money, one of them saying down, looking at the
- 9:05money. They looking at the money side of it. They see that they
- 9:07gave Kurt all that money, and then they say, oh, you go
- 9:09drift a quarterback. But like you said once again, sports Jock said,
- 9:13the imagination side of it is that down the road we got we got our
- 9:18quarterback. I mean, half of the movies in the world are shot here.
- 9:22How come to plant it doesn't have imagination. I mean we got imagination
- 9:26with everything else but the Falcons. Man, we got imagination of everything but
- 9:28the Falcons, the Hawks and everything else as far as the city. But
- 9:33I'm just saying I'm agreeing with the sports dook as far as any what he
- 9:35said Thursday, I mean it bought out to it. He Earlier you were
- 9:39saying we should trade up to go get Earlier you were saying, possibly trade
- 9:45them, go get chased, Jayden got l Jaydon Daniels lu. And then
- 9:50the more and more you said it, and the more and more you look
- 9:52at, you like, wow. Two positions you hope that you don't have
- 9:56to play in the first year is offensive line and quarterback. If you have
- 10:05to drift a first round pick in any one of those positions and put them
- 10:09automatically on the field, it tells you a lot about where you are as
- 10:13a franchise. You're hoping to get those guys and kind of slide them in
- 10:20onto the field. Those are the two biggest changes that you will have.
- 10:26It's two different positions. You go from dominating blocking as an old lineman to
- 10:35barely getting the guy not to cure your quarterback. You got to get comfortable
- 10:39with that. And with quarterbacks it's the same thing. You yeah in college,
- 10:43you through that route. Throw it now and watch Sauce Gardener run it
- 10:46back. And he said that to you. Throw it out. Throw it
- 10:50So we'll come back talk more in that fail old. I mean, JAREDTT
- 10:56wasn't happy. He's a Raider fan. He wasn't happy with Brock Bauers not
- 11:01being a quarterback. Now he's happy with Browers now. He just wanted to
- 11:03quarterback in that position. But the NFL Draft is in the book. Who
- 11:09is mister irrelevant? This year? He went to the J A TS Jets,
- 11:13Jets Jets. But I don't know his name. You will next season,
- 11:16sports Jock. The whole world don't know his name because who were playing
- 11:20for the J A T S Jets, Jets Jets and we know that that's
- 11:24a peridial football franchise on Madden on me, We'll be back right after this.

- 14:52bouth Whiman Bounce Whitman, Come on, balances coming Daddy, Welcome back to
- 15:01this Sport Shock Show. I'm this sport Shock wing game to get money to
- 15:05you. On this Monday morning, we are rounding out the month of April.
- 15:09Commandchee, Greg Big Kenny, the funny man himself, the bad producer
- 15:13in the building. NFL Draft twenty twenty four has closed. Mister Irrelevant jaylen
- 15:20Key out of Alabama going to the J. E. T. S chets
- 15:24chats Chats as the last pick of the draft. They still get a pickup
- 15:28truck. They should something you did? Why what? Why would I thought
- 15:33Thesneyland the Disney World to get a truck. He used to get a truck
- 15:37when I played, Still get a truck. I'm thinking, let's make I
- 15:39take the truck. You keep Disney, you can keep getting Mickey give me,
- 15:43could give you a truck when you get Disney. I'm selling about I'm
- 15:48selling my ticket to the entry to Disney. Speaking of selling tickets before we
- 15:52get back to the draft, Joela B because he sounds like a Falcon person,
- 15:56falcon hawk kind of guy. Jola B very upset yesterday with how his
- 16:03fan base let the Knicks invade Philly home game yesterday in Philadelphia, the Sixers
- 16:11got their back to the wall trying to climb out of the seller against the
- 16:15Knicks. The series now is three to one. Tight game yesterday, the
- 16:19Knicks winning ninety seven to ninety two. But Joela B after the game says
- 16:25that he loves his fan base, He's not necessarily calling them out as much
- 16:30as he's disappointed and basically letting the Knick fans, because what he's in imagining
- 16:40is the tickets where the Knicks would be seated would be owned by Sixers fans.
- 16:51It's one thing for me to hear Nick Chance from the top right,
- 16:56but this dude sitting behind me, I want to know how to do that.
- 16:59They knew how I've been to. Some feeling needs to die. Wait
- 17:03a minute, that's like the owner's bench right there. How did those guys
- 17:07get in? But somebody selling the tickets obviously correct, And that's the part
- 17:11of the fan base. And Joel, welcome to Atlanta. That's the Atlanta
- 17:17fan base as well. Where you come and any notable team seems to have
- 17:25top level access to the better seats. You just we just did a story
- 17:30with the women's NCAA Final four. How during those playoffs you commended a fan
- 17:40base for not letting Was it Kentucky invade or they played someone at home and
- 17:45they there weren't many when he went down to Auburn, Kentucky and they played
- 17:52it right, That's what it was. Because there weren't many resale It wasn't
- 17:57obvious that there were resale opportunity unit these and obviously people turned them down.
- 18:03You knew that they could have, but they did in that first Bowl in
- 18:06the stadium. It was Auburn Auburn protected. So we know it can be
- 18:11done. It can be done right and at the good games and then at
- 18:14the great fan bases. It will be done. Yes, Yes, to
- 18:17the point. You know if you're you might be a celebrity right and just
- 18:22happened to be a fan of the other team, But you can keep the
- 18:25area that Joelo Biebe is talking about. It's supposed to be safe, right.
- 18:29But I'm saying now, this man told me he's gonna give me eighty
- 18:33five hundred dollars percy for my tickets. But you're a Sixers fan, and
- 18:37I could be a season ticket holder the game. I'm saying, I got
- 18:44three seats. He told me eighty five hundred apiece. And this is gonna
- 18:48set me up and my fandom for the whole next season. For this one
- 18:52game. I go gonna go to that game, to the I'm a cheer
- 18:56for Joe. He know I got cheering for me. If I got my
- 19:00talent has been out, I got my lucky shirt on. He can feel
- 19:03me. It's a vibe sports Josh. That's what he's talking about. That's
- 19:07not that's not pandemonium. And see what they had they had down Staley and
- 19:11doctor j and a I that was you can't hear the three of them.
- 19:17Oh okay, and that's all Joe, welcome to Atlanta. So I can
- 19:22tell you now if free agent don't come to Atlanta, because that's just how
- 19:26the when I'm at the Hawks game, if the heat come, the Lakers
- 19:33come, the Celtics come, the Bulls come. You got those fivers a
- 19:37golden state. I know none of you have ever been to Oakland. Yeah,
- 19:41that's what I was, Oakland and there, so I know y'all haven't
- 19:48tried. Who when the last time you talked to anybody and they said they
- 19:52just got back from Oakland and the Cowboy fans and they know the Texas.
- 19:55No, no, no, When the last time you talked to anybody and
- 19:56they said they just got back from Oakland, CALIFORNI. It's been a minute
- 20:00to show. And I know from yeah, I know people are born and
- 20:06raised in Man, you know what I mean. So we all just kind
- 20:11of circling around the Atlanta area. But the NFL draft lots of girlfriend and
- 20:19free fiance moments in this draft, you are catching no passes. Why are
- 20:26you here? A lot of you know, moms trying to shoulder. Yeah,
- 20:33they would block block sitting in between. Girl, I get the first
- 20:37cut. He take care of me first. Who is that, mom?
- 20:42That's what she girl, He takes care of me first. Oh, that's
- 20:45what she's hoping. That's what she's dreaming. Mom, don't have mom,
- 20:48don't say anything. She completely ignores girlfriend, right, and just yeah,
- 20:56that's what I'm saying, because it's that I know, I know, I
- 21:00know. You don't think that you're gonna sit here and be the first person
- 21:03that my son acknowledges when he gets his dream. So a lot of it
- 21:08sometimes almost looks like they're waiting to But if you're going to stiff arm the
- 21:14young lady for being or trying to embrace your son after he's picked selected,
- 21:22then you should have had that conversation and just ask her not to come sit
- 21:25on the couch and works don't even show up, right, But you don't
- 21:29get to ask the young lady to come and sit front row. And then
- 21:34after the pick happens, you go into your blocking mode and make a whole
- 21:44nother scene because TV producer's decision like, Okay, we'll have the family sit
- 21:48here, the girlfriend will sit here like they they arranged. It wasn't up
- 21:52to the no that would that's on however your house run, No, no
- 21:56producer can come in. It's not man like that. And and do you
- 22:00think that it's possibly she didn't know she would react like that until the moment,
- 22:08Like she thought she was gonna be cool, and then it happened and
- 22:11before she could even get herself together. Oh man, here she go.
- 22:18Oops, girl, I didn't mean to do that. Mama. You know
- 22:22who you are. Yeah, you knew. You know who your base personality
- 22:25is, right, and you know whether you agree with the marriage or fiance
- 22:30or girlfriend from the jump. So I just thought that you can minimize that
- 22:33by just being honest up front. If you don't want her in it,
- 22:37y'all, don't bring her up front. They don't make these scenes for social
- 22:41media people. And that's why I was asked, do you think some of
- 22:42it is kind of we stage this moment because in addition to him being famous
- 22:48now you could tell that there's no conspiracy theory to it. Tell how they
- 22:53were sitting in the arrangements depending on them. We'll be back more Sports Shock
- 22:59Show right after this too, Short coming straight from Oakland, Dallafornia, home

- 27:00hopefully he'll stay healthy at forty forty one years old and we'll get a
- 27:04chance to check him out as well. As we were talking about the draft,
- 27:11any other surprises before we move on. Anybody you you thought was going
- 27:15to go a little sooner that did not that would have went sooner. O.
- 27:22The pressing theme was like someone like Spencer Ratler went to the fifth round,
- 27:26or that there were no quarterbacks in the second, third, or fourth
- 27:30round. Okay, I wasn't sure what the team strategy was there. I
- 27:37mean like like we're talked about putting guys on the field right away, or
- 27:42why wouldn't we get someone that you know that we're going to develop. They
- 27:47may sit for a year or two. Even in those the second or third
- 27:52round, no one was even like looking at that until the fifth round.
- 27:56The quarterback right right, there's a lot of young quarterbacks out there. Most
- 28:03teams are just gonna end up with somebody's failed project. That's that's how the
- 28:10game is evolved. That's all that these guys stay in cycles because the modern
- 28:18day football fan believes that the quarterback is Jesus and that's all that you need.
- 28:25I don't I keep telling you. I was on the field with a
- 28:27whole bunch of them. They were just a part of it. If you
- 28:32could do your job and I do my job, maybe we'll win. But
- 28:34I'm not asking you to do my job and we You know, they sell
- 28:37it and you can market anything enough to make people believe it. I wasn't
- 28:44shocked. I thought the quarterbacks were going to go early Spencer out of South
- 28:48Carolina. He looked like a fifth round talent when I watched him play.
- 28:55It wasn't like I was like, Oh, this guy, you know,
- 28:57was going to burn it up. He looked like a guy. Maybe I
- 29:00get late and see if he can do something. May be a career backup,
- 29:06most likely h sports Jock. I got a couple of comments from our
- 29:12listeners online. Phil Cook says, good morning and have a fantastic week.
- 29:18Emma Thompson says good morning, and Jared Lloyd wants to know why did the
- 29:22Patch draft two qbs in the same draft. They don't have any quarterbacks.
- 29:30Oh, now they have they have five now, but what they dress?
- 29:37So who are their quarterbacks? Who are the Patriots quarterbacks? Now they just
- 29:44drafted. Who do they have? They have at one guy? Exactly?
- 29:49No, no, there still there, I don't know. Don't do that,
- 29:55dude. They don't have a quarterback. They do. His name is
- 30:00Mac Jones is gonna and that was that was so they don't have a quarterback
- 30:07because I was gonna say Mac Jones was the last of what they thought was
- 30:10gonna be a starter. So who do they have? Nobody? And that's
- 30:15why you I got two quarterbacks. The biggest question is as a and I'm
- 30:22always here to learn because I don't understand a lot of things. If I
- 30:27go draft two receivers in the same draft, nobody asked me, well I
- 30:33got two receivers. That that's true, right, nobody? You could draft
- 30:38three. I can drive, I can drink line back, I can draft.
- 30:42I can draft. The Falcons drafted like three D tackles about seven picks
- 30:48three on was D tackles or something? Nobody says nothing. Nothing. You
- 30:55can get your old tackle and a sinner. You can get your two guards.
- 30:59Nobody, he says nothing. I get me two quarterbacks, but this
- 31:07this man's team. He worried about that. Wh But I'm talking about the
- 31:11general go back to the Kirk Cousins r G three. I don't want to
- 31:15be stuck? Is it where? What's been the most important position over recent
- 31:22years that everybody has learned? The backup quarterback? Can my backup quarterback get
- 31:29me through two or three games? Yes? Who did the Falcons have as
- 31:33a backup? Exactly? Is he still? I don't even think he's on
- 31:38the rock. I think he I think they were. I think he was
- 31:41still on the roster, but I don't know if he's going to be cutting
- 31:44out. So now I have a starter, I have back up, and
- 31:48I have the guy in my starter who I think can be the backup.
- 31:52But it's the only position where if you get to everybody the world and what
- 31:57you said yourself, a lot of fans see the quarterback position as he's coming
- 32:01in as Jesus. Who got to Jesus? Who you know worship to Jesus?
- 32:07Is sports Jack? We ain't never seen that you got double Jesus.
- 32:13Come on, brouh that that's what I'm saying. That you done went out
- 32:15and drafted to Jesus would be one thing if you already have one. There's
- 32:21no different than the Stillers. The Stillers are trying to make sure from what
- 32:24they saw last year. They got two options with Russell and they might only
- 32:31be on one year contract. But I got two options this year, so
- 32:36if I get midway through the season and something happened to one of them,
- 32:39I can put the other one in and feel like I can still win.
- 32:43Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing. Everybody just want to build on
- 32:47one person's hope. Do you think about That's what the Chiefs are. Who's
- 32:52the backup quarterback for the Chiefs? They just signed somebody I don't know who,
- 32:59I can't remember. It was so basically every time they hit the field,
- 33:01they're rolling the dice every single time. Come on, baby, because
- 33:07every time every time he run out there, it's like Cleveland Brown. What
- 33:15five quarterbacks last year? They started five different quarterbacks. It is the most
- 33:20in history or something like that that anybody, one team and one season had
- 33:23to roll through. But the craziness that you're saying that with the with the
- 33:29Pittsburgh is doing, that's what the Falcons fans were actually saying the craziness that
- 33:34we wanted at first, like we want two quarterbacks, we want to have
- 33:37two people here. We realized that, well, you got one is thirty
- 33:42six and one is twenty three. Yeah, we got it now and we
- 33:45got Tyler and Tyler Taylor Heneke is still on the stack on the roster.
- 33:52So we got through. So to answer the question before we go to break,
- 33:54is that the Patriots went through last season, none of those guys share
- 34:00up to be who they thought would be the guy, right, so they
- 34:02bring it in a couple of guys to see if they can be the guy.
- 34:08That's it. I would have said the same thing, but they I
- 34:10guess to look at as far like including with RG three and Kirk Cousins.
- 34:15You use, you know, your number three pick to get four quarterback and
- 34:21then you draft another one later. That's my backup, that's my backup.
- 34:27I need a good I need a good I need me a good backup.
- 34:31And that's what I'm saying. I think people sometimes dismiss the importance of a
- 34:37backup. I don't need you to get in there just because we have to
- 34:39have a certain number of players on the field. I need you to actually
- 34:43be able to do the job. When you go in, we'll be back
- 34:45more to sports jock show. Oh no, we got more time. Yeah
- 34:49we did you add more time. No, I didn't seeing stuff that ain't
- 35:00really there. No, No, I own my keita. Oh okay,
- 35:04I'm just I'll get on the plane, go to California in file and five
- 35:07full check. I'm saying, maybe it's something count the keita got me.
- 35:10You ain't had no no candy or nothing this morning. I didn't bring them.
- 35:15I know I didn't offer anything. But that's all the answer to that
- 35:21question. I don't don't. That's what I said. You get other people,
- 35:23multiple people at a position, nobody says anything. You get two quarterbacks
- 35:29and this I in and everybody when they started gets hurt. You don't think
- 35:32they was looking at Aaron Rodgers in the in the Zach Wilson situation, the
- 35:37Browns, the Steelers went through like three four quarterbacks and then we kind of
- 35:40have a backup quarterback. You shouldn't. You shouldn't feel like you don't have
- 35:45a chance because you're starting quarterback gets hurt. And then if that happens,
- 35:52the fans criticized, man, they should have had a backup. I don't
- 35:55see how they even go out and get a backup. Then they started listening
- 35:58all the guys that were available. We got a great backup lee left hand,
- 36:02and he's young, and his name is Michael. And you have a
- 36:06guy and Kirk Cousins who had shown at least through what you hit the window.
- 36:12I don't know Kirk personally, but he has shown that he would be
- 36:15a guy that would be willing to teach Michael Pennants. He doesn't seem like
- 36:22he'd be covering his notes right because he just I don't you know, because
- 36:28he was up there with shucking and jive and and most likely even when they
- 36:31didn't tell him that probably that was a good thing, because if I tell
- 36:37you, you're gonna tell your wife, and your wife gonna tell her sister
- 36:39and her sister, and then next thing, you know, somebody gonna trade
- 36:43up and take the pick away from us. But if we went into the
- 36:49draft board and this was the highest guy we had left, that's who I'm
- 36:52a draft you know, that was the funniest thing. Everybody was hollering,
- 36:55man, that's wrong. They didn't tell Kirk, but just a couple of
- 36:59weeks ago, you guys was fussing the same ones fussing about Kirk. You
- 37:01want the Falcons to show him that much respect? Kurt talked too much?
- 37:07Yeah, like we talking about getting him over here. He didn't. He
- 37:12snitched on him. He talked about we tampering, and now you want to
- 37:15call him days before the draft, like, man, guess what we're thinking
- 37:17about? So uh any other anything else on there? Quarterback? It's amazing
- 37:27how the quarterback is just engulfed everybody. One of our online listeners, mister
- 37:34Walter Echoes Chef says, I am crazy, but I'm on point. I'm
- 37:37on point, but I'm crazy, which but we knew I was crazy.
- 37:40I think already did. He just pointed. He pointed out that I was
- 37:45crazy. He said, but I was on point. I don't know what
- 37:49I was on point about, but I'm crazy. Can you be both giving?
- 37:54I'm saying, can you be on point and crazy? Man? I
- 37:58ain't messing with Chef this morning sports talk show Don't Go Away, or of
- 38:19the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dandigius coming up next. Attention home sellers and

- 41:22chaint, I'll sing even big canny. Look back to the spot. Shock
- 41:29Shun the sport shock Wayne Kenny, Good morning once again. Uh, the
- 41:34Guardian cap has come back around in the NFL. The NFL once again trying
- 41:40to address safety issues at the expense of the game that I know. I'm
- 41:50from a time where uh, you know, it was about physicality hitting and
- 41:55now it's more about basically punishing the defense for anything. It's a crime to
- 42:02tackle. Can we at least all agree in that, yes, like at
- 42:08least suspended sentence, which is a tackles pushed to the ground aggressively. That's
- 42:15what they're looking for. And now they have instituted where the helmet is not
- 42:21enough. And if you want to wear the Guardian cap, which is for
- 42:28you that's never had a helmet. Basically it is a device that looks like
- 42:36the insides of a helmet, right that they have put into a cloth that
- 42:42you can put on top of the helmet. Now as you saw last year.
- 42:47As I have spoken about, most concussions that you will see, tends
- 42:53to be when a player is getting knocked down in any kind of way,
- 43:00not offensively or defensively. Typically they're falling to the side or back and their
- 43:07head hits the turf. That is typically more concussions than you see guy running
- 43:15across the middle and Durham James hitting them. That concussion you don't see a
- 43:21lot more of it is what happened to him, and on the replay they
- 43:25show you, Oh, his head hit the ground when he got tackle or
- 43:30when he fell on his own. Sometimes he can go up for a catch
- 43:34and when he came down his head snapped back hit on the ground. The
- 43:37next one is catching an elbow or knee of someone running to the ball trying
- 43:44to tackle you. The third one is really the one of where it's the
- 43:46hit right, but with the guardian cap, which could I've never imagined it
- 43:55being used in the game, but the NFL says now you can wear that
- 44:00protective cap in twenty twenty four. So you'll see some guys, most likely
- 44:07I don't know where to weight of it. They do practice in them,
- 44:10and I wanted to ask a question. Commissioner Goodell, in a press conference
- 44:16concerning the Guardian Cap said that in practice scenarios, head injuries have been reduced
- 44:23NFL wide by fifty percent. Now that's a more than a significant number.
- 44:31So are we to understand that a lot of people, I mean are suffering
- 44:37serious head injuries in just what you would now consider a mile to practice?
- 44:45Are they being that banged up? And we not saying nothing about it?
- 44:49And now all of a sudden here comes to guardian cap and it's gonna prevent
- 44:52people ever from getting injured again, Because that sounds like a high number being
- 44:57reduced. How many were actually being hurt if you reduced it by fifty percent?
- 45:01Is that? Are we playing with the numbers with they are like seven
- 45:07people don't get hurt. I don't know many people that ever got a concussion
- 45:13in practice, Okay, So I don't know what number he's playing on.
- 45:16Okay, even even in the barbaric times, right because we didn't hit each
- 45:25other like we hit in the game, and you would even nowadays they don't
- 45:30even let you hit. But for about five minutes, that's propaganda. But
- 45:37that he is guilty? I was gonna say even more in practice, the
- 45:40guys you would with your teammates. You're gonna be man up a little bit
- 45:45more. You're gonna you're not gonna wimp out and say, oh, I
- 45:46got a concussion in practice, I want to I want to take time off.
- 45:50You're gonna you're gonna fight through it more, even in practice. So
- 45:52that's what I'm saying. Is that data coming from in pro ball. We
- 45:59don't engage each other like that. Okay, you don't finish the play.
- 46:04Is he looking at college numbers? Then when I dropped his foot as a
- 46:07linement, I pull around to hit commands? You, Greg, We see
- 46:10each other in the whole. We swear up, we go through the full
- 46:14routine, but we don't fully let go of that. We got a game
- 46:20Sunday, right, And no bad producer. He's not talking about making thirty
- 46:24million. I'm making thirty million. Don't we both hit me? We both
- 46:29on the team. Boy, don't hit me that hard. We just gotta
- 46:31simulate. So so you think he when we had gotten a concussion. Well,
- 46:36that's what I'm saying. What you got to go? When I say
- 46:38the college game, he said, NFL. I know, But what we're
- 46:43looking at the stats like like you said in I'm speaking specifically of Roger Cadell's
- 46:47comments, not not anything else. He said out of his own mouth that
- 46:52the safety cap has reduced injuries and practice this season by fifty percent. And
- 47:00I'm saying, where does a number? Where did they come from? If
- 47:04we're not making contact, if we're not full speed, if nobody's engaging like
- 47:09that, where does that data line up? And are you just selling us
- 47:14as fans this so we'll swallow it? That's what I'm asking And isn't that
- 47:20fraud? I would have to see where he's getting these numbers from. From
- 47:27what I know, how they've changed and structured practice, it has reduced it
- 47:31even more. As far as contact, you don't do you we never did
- 47:40special teams live. As far as the hitting part, you don't do that.
- 47:45No, that's what preseason gains for. Okay, you don't even That's
- 47:51what I'm saying now. You don't even tackle in the pros during the preseason
- 47:58period. Practical, Oh in practice, you're saying the Pros, y'all,
- 48:01don't tackle, that's just hit you just you just slum. Did you just
- 48:07throw Jamar Chase down? The whole fight back then is it even too hand
- 48:13touched? It's gentle And again I'm told I've spoken on this show. Some
- 48:21of it is some of the injuries that we see some of the players being
- 48:24hurt early on, is that they're not actually training the body for what they're
- 48:30actually gonna do with it, right, They're doing the road work but never
- 48:37doing the sparring sessions. One of our online listeners who used to be in
- 48:42one of the seats here on this show, to Tall Lady says that the
- 48:44gear is for looks and it's a false positive, and she believes that there's
- 48:47a difference between hurt and injured. So maybe instead of playing with numbers,
- 48:52he's playing with semantics. Just the you know, it's reduced injuries and well,
- 48:59nobody getting injured really in the first place. I thought the number one
- 49:02injury was people talking about the hip drop. See y'all gotta make y'all mind
- 49:07up, come in. I'm saying now that is it the horse call of
- 49:10the hip drop or the I want I want this. Don't touch me,
- 49:15just don't touch it. I want this investigator. We'll be back for the

- 52:16country last year on the NCAA level, nothing was spoke about more than Dion
- 52:22Sanders, coach Prime and his Buffalo's. This year spring practice fell short about
- 52:30nineteen thousand people. They're estimating Colorado spring game. They estimate was a little
- 52:37more than forty seven thousand last year and this year it was around twenty eight
- 52:45five hundred fellas what happened. We did not walk it the way we talked.
- 52:52We were a lot more we over sold and underdelivered, and it was
- 53:01a lot more bells and whistles than actual substance when you cut into it wasn't
- 53:09a lot of feeling. It was just a whole bunch of pastry, you
- 53:13know what I mean? And I think that until he starts winning, you're
- 53:17going to see it only exponentially get worse. Bad producer, what happened out
- 53:22there, that's a big, major drop off. That's almost twenty thousand people
- 53:28not for sure what happened, Why we didn't show up? While the weather
- 53:32was bad the reason they didn't have enough people out the spring game. But
- 53:37I mean, from my understanding that Prime is getting the team ready. He's
- 53:40not going anywhere. It was questions about if he's going to be following his
- 53:45sons to the NFL. He's a bad producer. I know you want I
- 53:50was gonna get to that part next. Don't use other material to explain the
- 53:54question. I ask you what happened to the drop off? Like I said,
- 53:59what must have been bad? I'm not for it's Colorado. They don't
- 54:02care about whether these people they vacation in the mountains. What do you think
- 54:08that Pauloff was almost twenty thousand people less in attendance. I think there was
- 54:14there was more hype last year, and because of how the season went,
- 54:20I think there was just there wasn't as much promotion. We didn't see him
- 54:25like in the news or out there as much, and I had enough people
- 54:31just forgot, oh there's a spring game today? Wait now? But it
- 54:35could it also be that since he's gotten there, and this is just my
- 54:37personal opinion, I've seen everybody that came there with him and his hype,
- 54:45the Chadur the Travis Hunter, the Shilohs. All of their hype keeps going
- 54:51forward, but the team's not progressing, the program's not benefiting. But they
- 54:57seem to keep on going forward more and more and more every single day.
- 55:01They're on commercials, they're in endorsements. But what's what is Colorado getting out
- 55:07of this? We're not winning, but you're still hyping this little group.
- 55:12I imagine the drop off really are the people who went out that are not
- 55:16Colorado fans. Right, At some points you deal with your your fan base.
- 55:22Remember, a lot of this was just the excess people. Half the
- 55:27people they would even shine the spotlight on and had nothing to do with Colorado
- 55:31or football or even football. They just was there. So when I saw
- 55:36it, I was like, Okay, the people that have nothing to do
- 55:38with they're not about to spend it was an attraction last year. They just
- 55:43saw the large gathering in the stadium, right, they turned it into Coachella.
- 55:47Right. And now you back to just your fans, because that's what
- 55:52that's what college sports is. It's just your fan base now and based on
- 55:57how exciting you can grabble a couple of eyes. Guys that don't have any
- 56:00loyalty. But that fan that might go to North Carolina typically just gonna go
- 56:07back to North Carolina after the hype is settled. And as you know,
- 56:12they also had a lot of guys leave this off season, and these guys,
- 56:16I don't as we talked about that time, I don't think these are
- 56:20the guys he was hoping to run off like the first year, and these
- 56:22guys had contributed. I think even the leading rusher they had last year has
- 56:28decided he was leaving. So these were not the guys like last year.
- 56:30He was trying to get you got enough dog, can't you. I'm gonna
- 56:35need some dogs. He lost his dogs this time around. Always exciting coach
- 56:42Prime Travis Hunter. Shadeir Shiloh is still there, right, so the whole
- 56:45game is still there one more year see if Colorado can bring and he did
- 56:50said he would basically just asking him once his son's leave, will would he
- 56:55take a pro job? Now that is a legitimate question, and your coaching
- 57:04career didn't start until your sons went to college, and so it's a great
- 57:08question. Now there's a difference between a coaching job and a head coaching job,
- 57:14though, right, so he would maybe be a position coach or something
- 57:19in the NFL. But and and one of our online listeners, Eric badget
- 57:23Is to The Guardian, Cap says, maybe Roger got a concussion. Speaking
- 57:29of Roger Cadell, because he's making comments and thoughts like that, I just
- 57:37don't want them to go with the whole safety. As I said, Now
- 57:42you're to me, you're starting to take away from the game. Your the
- 57:50physicality. You're saying, that's not that is a that is a big weapon.
- 57:54The cap even the look of that doesn't it doesn't scream the screen gladiator
- 58:00sport, you know. And that's why I'm bothered by if he's if this
- 58:05is propaganda, you're leading us down the road that reluctantly we don't want to
- 58:10go with questions, but you're giving us false information to make us go.
- 58:15You do watch boxing different when they have headgear on, Yeah, versus versus,
- 58:21pro versus the Olympics. You see him with the head gear on.
- 58:28Your energy for it is a little different because you don't think that man,
- 58:31you won't see we got a glass job for real, and this ain't even
- 58:35a two piece, just like a little kid snack, this little kid snap.
- 58:37But I was gonna ask you with Roger Goodell saying this with the NFL,
- 58:42will this help Rocks League and other leagues that are down the road to
- 58:49not having the guardian on? I don't think so, because they still the
- 58:54later is going to be real football without that guardian on versus football league that
- 59:00is doing it with with without the guardian. Have you watched the UFL game
- 59:06this year? Nah? I have watched? Okay, so that you're answering
- 59:10your own question. Hello, living out a whole month and anybody watched them
- 59:15play? It is four of us have got us get I'm embarrassed when I
- 59:21pass it on the guide hurry up and scroll pass because like i't want anybody
- 59:28to think I might watch. We'll be back mooring to Sports Shock Show right
- 59:30after this. That time we took judges just to shut you in on my
- 59:39jun Cash John't go Awayne Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Dambidius coming
- 59:47up next. And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 59:52quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet
- 59:57only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five,
- 1:00:00me and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we live
- 1:00:04forever. Life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind? What about
- 1:00:07you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty,
- 1:00:10with a kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my
- 1:00:13family would survive without me. That's why I made an appointment with the insurance
- 1:00:15informant. Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family security no
- 1:00:21matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't
- 1:00:23worry about whether I leave my family with bills or benefits. The answer is
- 1:00:27easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a little or
- 1:00:30a lot, all you need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:00:34foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have two options,
- 1:00:38benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits
- 1:00:44or bills dot com? That's benefits orbills dot com. Why are inter school
- 1:00:50lasting sports called the last classroom of the day because they teach students important life
- 1:00:53lessons like teamwork, accountability, and perseverance. School sports are so much much
- 1:01:00more than a game. They're about developing the whole person. That's why they're
- 1:01:02an essential part of every student's education. Encourage your student to participate in the
- 1:01:08last classroom of the day Interscholastic sports in Georgia. This message presented by the
- 1:01:15g hs A and the Georgia Athletic Directors Association. Enough, I don't have
- 1:01:24any why so serious and we hold the world ransom for Wayne Yandy. Excuse
- 1:01:30me while I whip this out shore broadcasting live and it led her to at
- 1:01:37this. This is the sports jock Ship with Wayne Dandy. You can find
- 1:01:47me down that counsel counsel pet it comes to blok? Is it just I'm
- 1:01:57gonna do it. I'm gonna go on the Wagan Welcome back to the swe
- 1:02:02Shock Show. I'm the wort Shock Wayne Gady. Good morning to you out
- 1:02:07there listening land. Where is your playoff team? How good of shape are
- 1:02:13they in? Are they almost home? For most of you, you're already
- 1:02:19getting ready for the draft that's coming in June. But for some their hopes
- 1:02:23are still high. Phoenix with their super team just did not deliver once again,
- 1:02:30showing you that you can. There is a part of success that has
- 1:02:35to do with camaraderie. Everybody's kind of pushed that to the side and decided
- 1:02:39that, oh, if I put the best five players out here, there's
- 1:02:42no way you can know. We got to learn who to pass, how
- 1:02:45to pass Bradley Bill. You think Bradley Bill, KD and Booker would at
- 1:02:52least get you to the Western Finals, and they got swept by the Minnesota
- 1:02:59timber Wolves and man Townsend Go Bear, guys that you wouldn't think could sweep
- 1:03:07them. Send them home. Now you got to figure out what to do
- 1:03:10with that big budget. I say trade KD because you got a lot.
- 1:03:15Nobody's gonna take Bradley Beal with that contract, and Booker is too young.
- 1:03:23That's how I'm working out. I'm not saying that, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:25Books, he's too Bookers like twenty seven to let him go. Now,
- 1:03:30yeah we can. We can get thirty six and nobody gonna take Bradley Beal.
- 1:03:37So for that kind of money. He's not that effective. But that
- 1:03:42experiment did not work. The Lakers are going to fight one more time to
- 1:03:47see if they can keep that series with Denver. Denver just has so much
- 1:03:52depth on their team. It's really hard for the Lakers to stand up.
- 1:03:58They don't have anything that comes off the bench. That's the Lakers' biggest problem
- 1:04:00I've seen all season long. They don't have any fear. There's no guy
- 1:04:05over there that's on the bike that you're waiting the skid of. So.
- 1:04:12Uh, but we've been talking NFL. We got a young intern out of
- 1:04:15Oglethorpe University. Uh says Uh. He's a Falcon fan. Julio Jones is
- 1:04:20his favorite player and uh when he came in the studio today. Is the
- 1:04:26communicating communications major over at Oglethorpe. Uh. I know Oglethorpe well because I
- 1:04:31used to train. This is when I was being I was illegal. So
- 1:04:36you never thought, no, you think I've never done crime. I've done
- 1:04:43crime. Awesome, I mean no crime. I've done crime. Crime by
- 1:04:48yours. You used to go use Ogerthorpe track without their permission? Stop?
- 1:04:56Wait a minute's trespassing. I don't even know you anymore. Who are you?
- 1:05:03I'll go over there and get me some windsprints and leave. Did you
- 1:05:09deface no property or you damage anything? No? Why would I do that?
- 1:05:14That's wrong? People already baby steps. Okay, you're right man,
- 1:05:17we're gonna work on it. You trespassing that I commend you for that.
- 1:05:20I don't want to diminish your accomplishment, sir. I commend you for your
- 1:05:24trespasser, and I have faith that you can be felonious and no time,
- 1:05:30sir, but Jill, good morning, sir. Thank you for coming in
- 1:05:33yep, thanks for having me. Atlanta fan born and raised here. Yes,
- 1:05:36sir, they never left the South never. Okay, very few people.
- 1:05:42I don't want to. This guy's from Oklahoma. I'm from Florida.
- 1:05:45He's from Parts unknown. And we don't talk about it, you know,
- 1:05:50because they might start, you know, trying to track me. But being
- 1:05:54a Falcon fan, when you saw them draft Michael Pennett, what did you
- 1:05:58think originally when it happened. I was obviously very surprised. I thought we
- 1:06:04were gonna go with Dallas Turner. I was a big fan of Dallas Turner.
- 1:06:08But I don't hate the pick. I like it a lot. I
- 1:06:12agree with what you're saying about having a backup quarterback trying to mimic you know
- 1:06:15what the Chiefs did with Patrick Mahomes as well as the Packers with Aaron Rodgers
- 1:06:20and Jordan Love, and I actually think that it could go well. I
- 1:06:26think what they might be able to do as well. Is maybe not the
- 1:06:29first year, but the second or third year for Penix to involve him in
- 1:06:33the offense. Maybe he's not the starter, but he obviously can use his
- 1:06:38legs a lot better than kirk Cousins. So I'd be interested to see,
- 1:06:42if you know, maybe a little tandem. I don't know. And another
- 1:06:45key factor is we don't know how recovered kirk Cousins will be right. This
- 1:06:53this injury, this achilles for when he tore it right already is lined up
- 1:06:59to be right up to the moment of playing like you know, it's not
- 1:07:04like, oh, he's ready today, this is going to be probably not
- 1:07:10even get to practice until August. What do we do then? Right,
- 1:07:15what do we do? How effective is he? And that's what I don't
- 1:07:18think people really And that might be something the Falcons even learned in the short
- 1:07:24window since they got kirk Cousin. He might have had a he might have
- 1:07:30had a step back or you know, yeah, when we got him and
- 1:07:33then he came in there. It blew up again. Watching the game last
- 1:07:38night with Kawhi Leonard playing, they were saying his he just will not respond
- 1:07:45that old trick we did with the rubber band and the jelly that used to
- 1:07:50be to go to. You know, the rubber band jelly trick used to
- 1:07:54be to go to and that's not work. So he didn't play and Joan,
- 1:07:59it's the same thing. It's been a couple of guys. The little
- 1:08:01trick we were doing. Right. We thought that thumb tack right in the
- 1:08:04stamp, right, we thought that it worked. It didn't work. It's
- 1:08:08time he came in with the thumb tack and the stamp already owned. It
- 1:08:11was like I've had it on for hours, and that's another angle. I
- 1:08:15was looking at the Pennick pick like, yeah, we might we might have
- 1:08:19in the three or four weeks we've had. Kirk Cousin realized it might be
- 1:08:25Halloween. Yeah, we need somebody out here to play right now, right
- 1:08:30now. And how excited would the Falcon fans be if they could get Michael
- 1:08:35Pennot's on the field From the jump, you don't know how this is going
- 1:08:39to play out. And that's the thing Falcon fans and and go you' a
- 1:08:44Falcon fan, I mean, can you contest or about how fair weather it
- 1:08:49seems to be. It seems to be more pessimism than optimism with a Falcon
- 1:08:55fan. What is exactly you asked? Are you asking if I like,
- 1:09:01do you think Falcon fans are loyal? That's hard. I think I think
- 1:09:08that there's a lot of loyal Falcons fans out there, Uh huh. I
- 1:09:12think the ones that grew up in Atlanta as Falcons fans that you know,
- 1:09:15we're going to games, they're real fans. But there's a lot of bandwagons,
- 1:09:19and especially with what happened in twenty sixteens, a lot of people stop
- 1:09:24being loyal Falcons fans because of the lost because of what happened. Yeah,
- 1:09:29exactly, So I think there was a lot of us and then you know,
- 1:09:31we finally got there and we lost the way we did, so we
- 1:09:35lost a lot of loyal fans with that, gotcha, And it's you know,
- 1:09:41a lot of people continue there are stuff that You're right because I was
- 1:09:44going to say that that's very astude observation because anytime now I'm watching the Falcons
- 1:09:50and they have a lead and people are starting to celebrate, there's always that
- 1:09:55one person in the room to go, don't get too excited, man,
- 1:09:59ye'ah, I know what happened in the Super Bowl and everybody just goes,
- 1:10:02oh, yeah, we do know what happened, and it changes the whole
- 1:10:06mood of the game. So yeah, we're stuck there. That's yeah.
- 1:10:13But that's a trump and you don't get over like by talking about it,
- 1:10:16you know what I'm saying, Like the next season will go get them.
- 1:10:18That's I don't think Falcons fans will ever be truly able to shape that until
- 1:10:24we win a super Bowl. But before they can take that suit off,
- 1:10:29before they can take that suit off. Gotcha, Judio Jones, you said
- 1:10:32is your favorite Falcon of all time? What what what excited you about Julio?
- 1:10:41Well, just as a kid, like growing up not knowing you're not
- 1:10:45a Bama fan. Oh absolutely no, absolutely no, I'm a Dogs fan,
- 1:10:54accept the answer. But I hoping to see Tech fans or how about
- 1:11:02them though, No, but yeah, just growing up just seeing someone like
- 1:11:08Julio so explosive, you know, off the line, just just a it's
- 1:11:12a great person to watch, I mean, most entertaining wide receiver in my
- 1:11:15opinion of all time. Just everything about him. I don't know, you
- 1:11:19think there's a possibility him and Matt go into the Hall of fame together.
- 1:11:24That would be really cool. That'd be cool. I think that that we
- 1:11:27just need to retire. Yeah, not just he probably should because he's gonna
- 1:11:32be a first ballot. Yeah. The question more would be will Matt be
- 1:11:38a first ballot at that time? Statistically, even though that Atlanta fans don't
- 1:11:43know, Matt Ryan statistically is in the top five or six quarterbacks and a
- 1:11:48lot of categories, and he does have that m VP with him, so
- 1:11:54I know it didn't bring a lot of joy to the Atlanta fans the way
- 1:11:58they want it. It will become one of those numbers games. Well,
- 1:12:04he's like top five in yards and he's up there in a lot of categories
- 1:12:09that I don't think people realize even come back when it seemed like he never
- 1:12:14came back to win, but he did a lot of times except for that
- 1:12:17one time. Except that one. You know what I'm saying. Everything is
- 1:12:21negated based on that one, and a lot of times I go, why
- 1:12:26can't we get past that? But then I remember how traumatic it was.
- 1:12:30I remember coming into the show that Monday after that Super Bowl and uh,
- 1:12:35I was we were downtown and I was commuting in on the Marta and people
- 1:12:41wouldn't even look at each other in the face. No one was speaking.
- 1:12:45The whole ride was like the city was abandoned. There was no traffic,
- 1:12:48and this is a city of traffic. There was no traffic. The next
- 1:12:51day it was Steel like a ghost town, and our voices at normal conversational
- 1:12:58tone sounded like we were screaming because everybody had just shut down in the city.
- 1:13:02And when you think back to that moment, you're impacted, like,
- 1:13:08Yeah, that really did hurt people and they're still healing from it. I
- 1:13:12guess I've tried to get over it and I moved on, but not everybody
- 1:13:15has. Well. A lot of people at halftime did get up and start
- 1:13:19headed towards party places. I know where I was watching the game. They
- 1:13:25were like, let's get a jump on traffic and get to the party spot,
- 1:13:30only to find out that the Tom Brady and the guys that came back
- 1:13:34to win. But Jio, thank you for sitting in with us today.
- 1:13:38Video Jones, gold Dogs, all these you said that out. We'll be

- 1:20:05in the morning. On to B. Well, the Downfall of Diddy is
- 1:20:11coming to to B. It's being produced by TMZ as well. Now,
- 1:20:16see this is we often talk about these unauthorized autobiographies and documentaries and things like
- 1:20:27that. Now it's interesting that to B is, uh, basically the YouTube
- 1:20:31of streaming services, where the creators actually upload their own content and you get
- 1:20:38paid by the streams and things like that. TMZ didn't have to do any
- 1:20:42research for a documentary about Diddy. All they do is compile all of the
- 1:20:45news coverage and put it into a scripted form and now they're selling it to
- 1:20:51people. And so I don't think they have the same liability that most documentary
- 1:20:56makers would have because well, I'm just reporting the story. I got it
- 1:21:00from command you great, and I just put it in my documentary. So,
- 1:21:03uh, it'll be interesting to see how many people watch this and how
- 1:21:08far it goes. Because did he hadn't been charged with anything yet and we're
- 1:21:12talking about his downfall. I went. I went to a comedy show on
- 1:21:17Saturday, and they literally destroyed did he? Who wasn't that? It was
- 1:21:28some more d C. Curry? Okay, who else was there? Lavelle
- 1:21:32Crawford? Everybody was current events? Yeah they were. They were very current.
- 1:21:41And the thing that made it funny was that you thought after one comedian
- 1:21:45did the joke, everybody would leave it alone. Well, you thought you
- 1:21:49would have laughed it out. But each comedian came up there and it was
- 1:21:57funny. Youlf did it going to priny time. Anytime it's this funny,
- 1:22:03this many times in one night, you're gonna have to do a couple of
- 1:22:06years. Everybody jokes. Everybody got You're gonna have to do some years behind
- 1:22:12them. Joe Bill Bellamy was there, Rank Concerted, Teddy Carpenter. Yes,
- 1:22:16I was there and and every and that That's why I knew it has
- 1:22:19to be funny. Because each person came up there, they didn't tell the
- 1:22:24same joke. He told it from a different angle. I didn't even know
- 1:22:28that Diddy and T. D. Jakes was holding hands. Have you been
- 1:22:31swallowed? Have you been? Have you laughing real hard with that? Because
- 1:22:40you know TD Jake's is the one that is uh purported to have the incident
- 1:22:45when Diddy that gave birth to the phrase power bottom where they said that in
- 1:22:55their relationship, TD Jake's was the one that so to have assumed the woman's
- 1:23:01role and it was it was weird. All of this stuff is really weird.
- 1:23:05We're gonna see what TMS has to say on have you been swallowed?
- 1:23:09No? No, I have nothing. I have not now, thank you,
- 1:23:12I'm good. I'm good. On that, I'm fine. And to
- 1:23:15tell you what's wrong with America? Sometimes while we can't seem to get right,
- 1:23:19someone paid ten thousand dollars for OJ Simpson's old debit card. See that's
- 1:23:29that's really what kind of what was not? Somebody would spend ten grand on
- 1:23:34an old debit card that has OJ. And you know, if the ten
- 1:23:39grand would have bought the knife that they actually thought was used to kill those
- 1:23:42people, I would have spent it on that. But I couldn't afford that.
- 1:23:45That's too much, that's out of my rank. It's a lot I
- 1:23:48couldn't afford. You know what I'm saying. I wanted that, I wanted
- 1:23:53some stuff, but I couldn't get the good stuff, So I had to
- 1:23:57settle for which is it now? His old devid card couldn't even get a
- 1:24:02side jersey. I thought that was a side jersey price? And what does
- 1:24:06it say, Orenthal? He doesn't say like, oh j the Juice or
- 1:24:14anything that would be his nickname. Yeah, James Juice. We'll be back
- 1:24:20to Sports show right after this. Well, what you want to feel?

- 1:27:33Singer Candice Parker, one of the biggest names in w NBA, one of
- 1:27:40the biggest names in women's basketball from the time she entered the halls of Tennessee
- 1:27:48until she has now decided to retire. The power forward small forward verse,
- 1:28:00So ta do it all Champion, She's two time WNBA MVP Gold medals,
- 1:28:09every accolade. Basically, with Candace Parker, you can check the box on
- 1:28:15that short list when people argue greatest player in her time has decided to retire,
- 1:28:25and rightfully so Candace. As I read what Candace said, basically her
- 1:28:33body been retired last year or so. She was just giving her mind time
- 1:28:42to catch up, because she realized if everybody was not gonna do same thing
- 1:28:46we was talking about earlier, those little tricks to get that foot to work
- 1:28:51gonna stop working. You know, we all have methods with certain things.
- 1:28:57It works, you keep, you know, rigging it to work, and
- 1:29:01then at some point it just that even with the body crossed your legs at
- 1:29:05the ankles and bend over and pile that'll snap right back in place. I'm
- 1:29:10good. But then you get a little older and you cross your ankles and
- 1:29:14you bend over four times, and you just y'all might have to take something.
- 1:29:19But not much can be said about Cannie Parker other than consistently great big
- 1:29:28TV future. For as you can see, she's always on the panels or
- 1:29:31a lot of the NBA action and definitely could easily be the voice of the
- 1:29:38w NBA based on if it explodes into what they think it want to do.
- 1:29:43But right now she's always doing the NBA games very confident, and you
- 1:29:47can tell, like we always say here, knowing the game is knowing the
- 1:29:54game. It's not about her gender. If kandas said, you should have
- 1:29:59dropped step, you should have dropped drop my little grandson, go to part
- 1:30:05you ain't dropping Stepan. And then she's well respected in what she says.
- 1:30:13You can see that on the panel. Like compared to a lot of the
- 1:30:15other female analysts, she doesn't get a lot of kickback on the things that
- 1:30:19she states because, like she says, she knows the game. She understands
- 1:30:21the game. If I'm not mistaken. Great, did she win the dunk
- 1:30:24Contest and the McDonald's All American or she was in? Yeah, she wanted
- 1:30:29even the first female to win the McDonald's from All American dunk contests. Do
- 1:30:32you think that part of her in addition to uh, the things that she
- 1:30:38listed her body or her mind catching up with her body and being ready to
- 1:30:44retire, do you think part of why she didn't retire, part of why
- 1:30:46she's ready to retire now is because now we got a class coming in that
- 1:30:49can quote unquote carry the ball. Uh. Candace, like we talked about,
- 1:30:56was like a darling in the w n B. And candas if you
- 1:30:58leave girl wingoa, nobody you know what I mean, come on and stick
- 1:31:01around. The game needs you. And then well here come Caitlyn Clark and
- 1:31:06the girl from South Carolina and Angel Reese, and now the game has other
- 1:31:12names that can hold on. I would land more on that. She didn't
- 1:31:18want to be seen like the old Ali Okay just staying around, to stay
- 1:31:25around because her name is big enough to get her on a team. She's
- 1:31:29been dealing with a foot issue here for the last two or three years,
- 1:31:31and even last year Vegas making a move or when she was Vegas. Yeah,
- 1:31:36she couldn't participate. I think maybe she played in two or three games
- 1:31:41the whole year and the year before. It was the same kind of injury.
- 1:31:45Injury injury, right, And I don't think that she wanted to be
- 1:31:49seen as one of those people Jabal just carrying you only sitting around like you
- 1:31:58said, No, I didn't see like that. At the end, Kareem
- 1:32:00was still dragged off the getting dragged up. I didn't see Kareem. Yeah,
- 1:32:04I didn't see Kareem getting I was trying to think of a basketball player.
- 1:32:09It was like that. But Kareem wasn't in my mind Patrick, I
- 1:32:16see Patrick before. Maybe it'll come up with but I didn't. I didn't
- 1:32:20see Kareem. Came as somebody that was he wasn't Kareem, but he wasn't
- 1:32:26like, oh, you guess gonna go and push him down or he can't
- 1:32:29score. And that's the same thing with the thing with someone like a Lebron
- 1:32:35He can't decide to retire because he hasn't had that moment of reflection where you
- 1:32:44know what, I really can't get these twenty five that's the moment that you
- 1:32:48you really start. Really I went out here perfectly healthy, feeling like I
- 1:32:53could hit twenty five and gave you a solid sixteen points that sit and that's
- 1:33:00all I had. Vince Carter went out went out more like that. He
- 1:33:09went out without the high flying. He went out to somebody, not in
- 1:33:15a negative way. Don't take this negative, because that's that soon looked like
- 1:33:18you got your dukes over the way. But I'm saying the vents that we
- 1:33:24knew in the vents that left right, he was grounded. He give you
- 1:33:30one of those months instead of a game if that holding on to the rim
- 1:33:36when he dunked, letting itself down like I'm old right, because he was
- 1:33:43and he was. That's what I don't think he was putting on you know,
- 1:33:47he wasn't faking it. But I understand what you're saying, is it
- 1:33:53what we had grown accustomed to? That's not what we saw in the last
- 1:33:58part of his career. Yeah, so Candis Parker Hall of Famer to be
- 1:34:03Uh, not really any thing? Did it the way you're supposed to be
- 1:34:08done. I wish I could say something salacious or Yeah, she had some
- 1:34:12moment to say, but none of that. She came, she played,
- 1:34:15she went. Was that her the shout out the windows of the range rover?
- 1:34:23No, that was Tennessee, that's Tennessee. You got the right you
- 1:34:28know what I'm saying, right went sports shock that they are to women's basketball,
- 1:34:34kind of like what we are to broadcasting. We got one shooting out
- 1:34:38range rover windows and the other one trespassing. The only thing, the only
- 1:34:43thing blimersh on Cannas record is Sheldon Williams. Poor child. I haven't any
- 1:34:47reference to what that means. Uh. She was married to Sheldon Williams.
- 1:34:54Deform. The Hawks drafted him like first or second a couple of years ago,
- 1:35:00I mean years back. He didn't he didn't pan out too long,
- 1:35:02and we used to give him a hard time, say, Candas was better
- 1:35:05than you are. Oh that was probably a fact, though it is so
- 1:35:13he can. But he's saying like that can't be true. And I'm saying
- 1:35:16like your wife can't be the better, better at something than you. That
- 1:35:20what we we I mean that we were clowning it. But how do you
- 1:35:27clown if something is factual? It's factional? Yeah? Is this your girls
- 1:35:30tour? Your tour? Wow? It's your girl tour, your tour.
- 1:35:38But Candace, thank you for all the moments that you gave us. Exciting
- 1:35:43and but you're not going anywhere. Just going right down here to Turner Turner
- 1:35:47right, You're just gonna put tonight right, Just put on bottom shoes and
- 1:35:53just go up the steps to the low table where they're broadcasting. But Candace
- 1:35:58Parker Hall of Fame to be has decided to retire. Amazon and NBA had
- 1:36:04reached an agreement on some broadcasting some games. So Amazon and the NBA,
- 1:36:12now I'm just trying to say, come man, she seems like you're gonna
- 1:36:15be charging me for everything. Can I get one free game bro with the
- 1:36:21purchase of See for the purchase of the prime package plus? Yeah, I
- 1:36:30gotta you get up to thirty six of your chosen But they gotta do something
- 1:36:40better with the buffer situation. I mean, the game goes in and out.
- 1:36:45Hey, hey how about this, how about this NBA? How about
- 1:36:48we get the guys that are actually paid to play ball onto the court.
- 1:36:54Let's do that. Let's start there. I'm gonna stick with me. We're
- 1:36:56gonna get them on the court, and they're gonna play like they want to
- 1:37:00play ball. I knowed a lot of this is a stretch. And then
- 1:37:02we're going to tune in like decent hours, let's say between about seven and
- 1:37:09ten, and watch these games. And then on weekends, let's catch them
- 1:37:13between about four and seven. And then well Amazon would take over for where
- 1:37:17T and T you still have the NBA package, but those games that you
- 1:37:23watch on T N T and ESPN, that's who they're battling with to carry
- 1:37:29those you need the free games they be getting the regional networks like from bally
- 1:37:38correct. Yeah, they will be getting those rates and so and so.
- 1:37:42So that means so you still will and all that all that's gone, that'll
- 1:37:45be out the window. And hold T and T the No, they'll still
- 1:37:49be there. They'll just be like competing for ratings. So we will see
- 1:37:54how Amazon you knew they were going to get into try something. They already
- 1:37:58got into the football business. So I want to go to baseball. I
- 1:38:00mean, ain't nobody that's what baseball. They're trying to get baseball baseball.
- 1:38:05It's about to be Amazon Sports. This Amazon Sports well and and now personally,
- 1:38:13uh if if I got to start paying hundreds of dollars just to watch
- 1:38:16the sports on TV, I just go to buying tickets. I just go
- 1:38:21just go to the game. I might not see the Cubs a lot.
- 1:38:26Watch said you're gonna sell your tickets for eighty five. We'll be back more

- 1:41:44canny, Welcome back to the sports Shock show. I'm the sports Shock Wayne
- 1:41:47Candy. Uh. This NFL season, Tom Brady will be going into the
- 1:41:51booth for Fox. What expectations do you have of Brady up in the booth?
- 1:42:01TV twelve, baby water all day? Oh well, and I'm saying
- 1:42:05being great at one thing in a sport doesn't necessarily guarantee that you will be
- 1:42:10great at another thing. I know is football knowledge will be there, and
- 1:42:15from what I've seen him do in interviews and podcasts, he seems personable enough.
- 1:42:19I wonder if the networks will put too much weight on his shoulders with
- 1:42:24him being out there for the first time, like want him to achor the
- 1:42:27thing by himself, or will they try and build things around him what Tom
- 1:42:32says, you know, that kind of stuff, instead of just letting him
- 1:42:34get in in jail. I hope he doesn't feel pressure to look and be
- 1:42:42impactful right off the bat. Imagine I think he's I think it's'll be okay.
- 1:42:49I don't know if he's gonna I'm not certain he'll be like as entertaining
- 1:42:54as the people may expect them to be he's on the number the eighth eighteen
- 1:43:00for was it Fox or CBS for Fox. But I think he'll be okay.
- 1:43:08But I think the entertainment value that some people ain't be expecting maybe too
- 1:43:13high. Fabs. Yeah, he's gonna be fine, just like everyone else
- 1:43:18to step in. He'll be able to He's there to be a color analyst.
- 1:43:23He's not to be the play by play. He's just give his opinion.
- 1:43:27Make it happen to be Tom Brady, and he's gonna be fine.
- 1:43:30I mean, Greg Olsoen, he wasn't a Tom Brady name, but you
- 1:43:34see how popular he became and how they Fox was able to make his brand
- 1:43:40uh and make him that focal point. So I think Tom will be okay.
- 1:43:45Well, I guess it will always come down. Since I plugged myself
- 1:43:49into that job, how much of yourself are you willing to reveal of being
- 1:43:56a fan? So you basically find out if the person is a fan of
- 1:44:00the game. What you're probably going to be drawn to is a guy who
- 1:44:04does that job, who is doing it from not his accolades, but from
- 1:44:12his love of the sport as the sport, not whether he could do it
- 1:44:15good or not. So that's the thing, Well, is Tom that guy?
- 1:44:20We really? Tom is never necessarily open doors to show us the personal?
- 1:44:28Yeah, right, He's always been football player in football, Tom,
- 1:44:31he need to show us personal, right, Tom Thomas, He's got Tom
- 1:44:36Brady. Nobody knows Tom Tom that he got. He has jokes like after
- 1:44:42he wins or it's a big game, you know, he'll put a little
- 1:44:45certain things out there subliminally on social media. So he's got some fun.
- 1:44:47He's got some funny things about him. So I'm looking for him to be
- 1:44:53entertaining. But now bad producer. We know firsthand because we are in this
- 1:44:58business that a lot of times people who handle social media aren't actual the personalities
- 1:45:03that those pages represent. Tom might have his kids or somebody that's more capable
- 1:45:10and on social media, But to be sitting in front of the cameras and
- 1:45:14have to display your personality, they're asking you for a personal moment, and
- 1:45:18if you're not used to sharing those, it's gonna come off as having to
- 1:45:23pull it out of you because it doesn't just happen overnight. And I understand
- 1:45:28what sports jock is saying. Unless he lets hisself himself just be a fan
- 1:45:32talking about the game. We're going to be missing something. Yeah, the
- 1:45:35education is there. I think that what wins. You're over the John Madden,
- 1:45:43What's the Coast went to the Raiders? Grow those guys, Terry Brad
- 1:45:49Reggie Miller does a great job. Redgie Miller broadcast is like he is so
- 1:45:57excited that y'all let him come right to the game tonight. He's never been
- 1:46:00in the NBA game. He'd have been here anyway, like I was coming
- 1:46:03anyway, but y'all invited me to talk about it. Right. Well,
- 1:46:06some people are that they're educating you, but they're a little stoic. I
- 1:46:11think it's terrible when because I was like, I love your guy to be
- 1:46:15a little uh Troy Aikman, Right, he showed him. Yeah, I
- 1:46:23wish he would just kind of a little more Troy. Maybe they took him
- 1:46:27off the alcohol so he but I like to get him three fingers in.
- 1:46:32Well measured it. That's measuring. I thought they were measuring the bag.
- 1:46:39No, man, it depends on what you figured out the timing, right,
- 1:46:45because now he's on Monday night football because normally it was the one o'clock
- 1:46:47or the four o'clock game. Now the games. That's seven, right,
- 1:46:50and so you know he usually started getting in about news about seven. He's
- 1:46:56too far gone. So they trying to hold him in the stall till about
- 1:46:59maybe four thirty and didn't let him loose, but he he working it out.
- 1:47:03Olivia Bell says that he has true hopes of being a world champion boxing.
- 1:47:12Okay, kind of old though, How did thirty two Larry Holmes type
- 1:47:17stage really really old for you know, world champion style boxing? He could
- 1:47:26he could have said Le'Veon. Bell says that he really do believe he can
- 1:47:30box and just let but world champion boxing. I mean, you know former
- 1:47:34did it old Holmes did it at older Yeah, yeah, yeah, but
- 1:47:38their discipline was boxing. That's what I'm saying. They are trained boxers from
- 1:47:43the beginning who stopped boxing and then went back back to boxing. Well,
- 1:47:47and so from what I've heard, if he gets out there and he gets
- 1:47:54the training and he gets to working, I mean there's a possibility. So
- 1:47:57I'm not gonna shoot him down. I hope that he could do something good.
- 1:48:00Yeah, and when you and I know you're trying to be kiddy and
- 1:48:05Devil's advocate, but not to diminish any boxers skill. It's a little deeper
- 1:48:13for me to think world champion. Then I decided to box at thirty two.
- 1:48:17What these guys been boxing since they were twelve? The only common you
- 1:48:27have is athleticism. Nate Robinson and that wasn't even a real boxer that had
- 1:48:41two weeks. Yeah, I'm saying, and that's the point. That's the
- 1:48:45point. He was doing an exhibition boxing match against the guy that is not
- 1:48:49I think Le'Veon is really going in though he's not being I'm talking to he's
- 1:48:55out or he's not being Nate Robinson and he's really we will get I mean,
- 1:49:01the proof is in who was? Who was Greg? What's what's great?
- 1:49:04Hardy from from the Panthers? Where is he at with it right now?
- 1:49:09I think he's mm A Yeah, he's the m m A for he's
- 1:49:13doing bare knuckle Yeah. And Matt last time I saw him, it happened
- 1:49:28that don't go away board of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Dandy, Yes,

- 1:51:48we put a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on the Sports
- 1:51:55Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Keep a solid count dog food type moving through
- 1:52:05the city. What's your bull type spread such type. Welcome back to the
- 1:52:13show on this war shock Wayne KNT Once again, NFL draft happened. Uh,
- 1:52:17no player from an HBCU was drafted. So those people who keep count
- 1:52:23like the bad producer the other year. It's not a knock on HBCU.
- 1:52:33It's just what it is. What it is. So I know a couple
- 1:52:39of years what was that two years ago, everybody was trying to make this
- 1:52:41big thing like somebody they don't come to see us, man trying to keep
- 1:52:46us out the league. Don't they have a didn't they have a prodate at
- 1:52:53some one of the HBCU schools. Yes, a big They're going to be
- 1:52:57somebody to get picked up free agency. I mean several guys get picked up
- 1:53:00here free agency. Ex Michigan coach Juwan Howard now is with the Brooklyn Nets.
- 1:53:06He's going to be an assistant with the Nets, going back to the
- 1:53:10league, getting away from college, and maybe that's what he's learned that he's
- 1:53:14a pro coach more than a college coach. Sometimes until you have that experience,
- 1:53:18you don't know. You can't punch people in college. In the pros,
- 1:53:21it'd just be another day in the pros. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:53:25JA, we align up for the handshake, our two piece to opposition,
- 1:53:29and we'll just go and get a beer. That's it. Texans wide
- 1:53:31receiver Tank Dale part of about twelve people injured. Tank Dale of the Texans
- 1:53:41down in Sanford, Florida, a young sixteen year old open fire at a
- 1:53:46night club in the area. The receiver Dale is okay. From the report
- 1:53:54I was reading, they did take the sixteen year old into custog. They
- 1:54:00didn't give any reason yet from the article I of why he shooting happened,
- 1:54:06but it was down in Sanford, Florida. They'll sustain a minor wound from
- 1:54:12I guess a bullet grazed him sixteen at a nightclub. First of all,
- 1:54:17I don't have questions, but this man, it were outside yeaw, okay,
- 1:54:24so he could have just been driving by hanging out. Wow. Speaking
- 1:54:30of driving by, you guys were saying how easy it is to get a
- 1:54:33driver's license in the state of Georgia. Yes, and I have to do
- 1:54:40research to confirm that it is the easiest state in the Union to get a
- 1:54:45driver's license. But there has been taught that the insurance rates in the state
- 1:54:50of Georgia are the highest or some of the highest in the country. And
- 1:54:55part of the connection people are trying to make is that you lower the bar
- 1:55:00are forgetting a license solo that you're bound to have accent. I wonder what
- 1:55:04makes it the easy is, like, what is what is Georgia not doing
- 1:55:11that other states are that makes it so easy? Maybe the next show we
- 1:55:15have like what step is the state of Georgia looking over that other steps hole,
- 1:55:23like they don't make you parallel park or something like it. Maybe the
- 1:55:29the just the whole permit stage, like in other states you have to get
- 1:55:35a permit, then drive on that permit, then get a license unless you're
- 1:55:39eighteen. Unless you're eighteen, and here in Georgia, once you're eighteen,
- 1:55:45you don't have to have any sort of permit, type of training or anything.
- 1:55:50You could just walk in and somebody say, yeah, he ready,
- 1:55:55and now you should have to take the driver's test though in the in the
- 1:56:00parking lot. In the parking lot, they don't take you out on the
- 1:56:02road like you way we went through it parking lot. And then the parallel
- 1:56:08part is from your door to the pool table right here, just when you
- 1:56:15got your driver's license. They were still rolling down windows. Listen to me
- 1:56:17and you fact fact I had, I just got a licensed child, and
- 1:56:27I taught her for a number of years. Then to make sure that she
- 1:56:30was straight, we got her a driving coach just so he could sign off
- 1:56:33on yes, she's ready. And he said, well, what you've been
- 1:56:38teaching and what I'm going to teach you two different things. Because the license
- 1:56:41got on the parking lot with the parallel parking and the three point turned that's
- 1:56:45where they give you the driver's license. There's a stat in Georgia. Number
- 1:56:49one killer of juneiles is asthma. Number two is vehicle So kids with teenagers
- 1:56:58driving, that is a lot of teenagers have been Oh and their city state,
- 1:57:03Kentucky, was the easiest with seventy four zero point three percent passing rate.
- 1:57:10So maybe that's how they determine how many people actually pass the test.
- 1:57:15So the written test or the driving test, I'm not sure they just man
- 1:57:19the written test is that's that's another thing like when we took you had to
- 1:57:25physically take us. Okay, let's get from out of the seventies and let's
- 1:57:29talk about this is the eighties, which was still about thirty forty years ago.
- 1:57:32Man, that's still for the driving is horrible, has gotten worse.
- 1:57:40I'm not saying that the driving is any better. I'm saying that the requirements
- 1:57:44to get a driver's license some of that has been adjusted because of the times
- 1:57:47that we live in now. I think a lot of what people are counting
- 1:57:54on is how proficient your car is. What about when people come over this
- 1:57:59this come on and they're just getting driver's license. They're here getting out everything
- 1:58:02with no formal training because they are over the age of eighteen. Well that's
- 1:58:09part of the frustration. Yeah, I mean because a lot of those people
- 1:58:13can't read the signs because they don't speak English, and so no matter what
- 1:58:17it's saying, detour ahead. And they got interpreters for the test and different
- 1:58:21things at the location. So I don't know, I know we have a
- 1:58:28lot of accidents here. Well, that's that's the coming that's a combination of
- 1:58:32all of us. That's not just people who got their license easy, right,
- 1:58:38that's commands you Greg holding his dog, drinking his pepsi and smoking his
- 1:58:42cigarette while driving on the highway. Yeah, that will cause an accident.
- 1:58:46Part of part of accidents is people don't know where they're going, right,
- 1:58:50So since they don't know directions mentally and they only know by reading them.
- 1:58:56Think about how much you drive by people and they only know how to get
- 1:59:00to a spot holding the phone and looking at We don't know how to get
- 1:59:04anywhere without holding the phone. So you're talking about we do it so much.
- 1:59:09Distracting the car is like years ahead of forty years ago. But the
- 1:59:15distraction level is at an all time high. People don't go to the next
- 1:59:19street to turn around. They turn around right now, right there. That's
- 1:59:24what it's like. That's all of that this weekend. Just stop in this
- 1:59:30lane and turn around right here. There's a media right there. Yeah,
- 1:59:34that's what I'm saying. I got an SUV. I'll drive over that media.
- 1:59:39I retired state trooper. He just said the same thing. There's less
- 1:59:42hands on the highway to understand the road. Yeah, so a lot of
- 1:59:46reasons when I see people has nothing to do with it. How easy you
- 1:59:49got it is that you aren't driving anything like you drove to get the license,
- 1:59:56right, you're actually doing every thing against it. Oh, they were
- 2:00:00ten to two when they was in there with the instructor right right, you
- 2:00:04know. So it's just they told me it's ninety three. Now they ain't
- 2:00:08even ten to two. Anybody. They put the onus on whoever's right beside
- 2:00:12them. The onus is always on. It's always been on that person.
- 2:00:15Now it's truly on that person to recognize what you're doing in front of me
- 2:00:19to have any chance of avoiding the accident. And we are in the ocean.
- 2:00:27The truth is he will throw your in the ocean. It's time to
- 2:00:31wrap things up on the Sports June Show with Wayne well yere De Size of
- 2:01:00should give this much shot just a minute to Vin. We'd like to thank
- 2:01:01you for tuning in to today's show. Come at you, Greg Vig Kenny
- 2:01:05the Bad producer, Thank you for your contributions. We hope you have a
- 2:01:10great week. It's been great weather here in the Atlanta area. Basketball hot
- 2:01:15and heavy, NBA playoffs all week long. We are headed into the Kentucky
- 2:01:21Derby this weekend as well. Yes, that time of the year, May
- 2:01:28is upon us going in the ocean today. Athletic director Dahon Darian out of
- 2:01:38Pikesville High School in Baltimore. Mister Darien had a problem with his principal didn't
- 2:01:48like the way the principal was running the school, so he went out and
- 2:01:54used AI to create a racist post against blacks and Jews. He made it
- 2:02:03seem like the principal had made this post and got the principle suspended. Mister
- 2:02:13Elworst, the principal said no, hold on, now, that's not my
- 2:02:15voice. And after a three month investigation by the FBI, Big Kenny's best
- 2:02:23friends the FBI, they have found that the athletic director, mister Darien,
- 2:02:29is the one who created this post and lied on the principle. So the
- 2:02:35principal never said anything. So as I know, the FBI, they come
- 2:02:41with ten years, right, they don't come listen, they come with a
- 2:02:45minimum. They start off. It's like a minimum buy in. You got
- 2:02:49to have fifteen years on the books just to get charged. Well, mister
- 2:02:54Ellsworth is definitely happy he got his job back, and mister Darien now faces
- 2:03:00with his ability to create AI. And I guess this is the new world
- 2:03:03out there, people taking your voice and creating patterns for their pleasure or for
- 2:03:11their profit. But for that days On Darien, athletic director at Pikesville High
- 2:03:17School, fuck the plank. How did he start the video on, Hey,
- 2:03:29this is the principal, and I don't care who don't believe this is
- 2:03:31the principle. This is really me, people, Yes CoA jail for anything.
- 2:03:39Man, you could have just told him I'm jaywalking y'all round here coffee
- 2:03:43and people voice. I could have just said, man, I don't like
- 2:03:45you and been down from the Sports Shop show. We hope y'all have a
- 2:03:48good afternoon. Please
