- 0:00And Chris Daly, who was so well Natalie attired. I like the blue
- 0:05suit. Thank you. Joined the court side after the Yukon win. Tonight's
- 0:08nice rebound from Sunday. Defense really was good tonight, much better, much
- 0:14better. You know. I think we got smacked pretty good on Sunday,
- 0:19and there's a lot of different ways you can respond to that, and I
- 0:22thought we responded well and played well tonight. What do you think the turnaround
- 0:27was in that second quarter? I think Page started taking over offensively. We
- 0:35were in good stuff and we just made plays and I thought Aubrey was amazing
- 0:40on the backboard, you know, creating opportunities, and we just took a
- 0:44lot of advantage. We took advantage of their mistakes because they turned the ball
- 0:47over some and just ran good stuff. Yeah, twenty nine points off turnovers.
- 0:52Tonight, Page, as you've mentioned, took over the game. It
- 0:55looked like that. The offense looked a little stagnant at times in the second
- 0:58but once that fileble for the break took place, everything changed, and obviously
- 1:03Paige was the catalyst. Well, you know, the first half, I
- 1:06thought we ran better offense, as you said, In the second half,
- 1:08I thought she made some really tremendous individual plays and took advantage of some well
- 1:15the sellers guarding her had thout trouble, you know, so we tried to
- 1:19attack her a little bit. So you know it, I don't know all
- 1:26came to We owed them one. You know, I think after last year
- 1:30going down there and without you know, most of our team being able to
- 1:34play, you know, it was just good to have a great win.
- 1:38The fans were terrific, the students were great, just really nice to be
- 1:41home. Yeah. I think Blue Lie Base was happy to see that turn
- 1:45around, a new Rebucker lobe. A couple of people were talking about,
- 1:48okay, let's get a little retribution for last year. Celebration that happened afterwards
- 1:53was a little yeah, you know, I mean, you have to play
- 1:57who you play. That's who we had. But you know, let's not
- 2:00mistake what we were missing either. But you know, credit to them right
- 2:06last year. Sorry, you gave you a good game Sunday one of the
- 2:10few bright spots Ashland was tremendous tonight. Yeah, and I think you're going
- 2:14to see that with younger players. I thought our young guys went in and
- 2:17gave us minutes so you know, it was Q's turn on Sunday to come
- 2:22in and give us a little spark, and today I thought Ashland did the
- 2:24same. As long as we're getting and I thought KK better in the second
- 2:29half than the first half. But you know you're going to get that with
- 2:31inexperience. And when you look at our team, we have a lot of
- 2:35guys that have not played, whether they're freshmen or you're talking about ice or
- 2:38even page from last year. So we have a lot of new pieces and
- 2:43trying to get it all together. And I thought there were spurts where we
- 2:46played really well together and then there were spurts where we were a little fragmented.
- 2:50And as you get further along, you have to have less of those
- 2:54moments where you're fragmented or a little disjointed and just keep playing. So it
- 2:59was a good stet in the right direction. Games seems physical, you know,
- 3:02not necessarily nailing on screens, but body's flying at different times. There's
- 3:08reason cause or what just no, it's I mean the game. Whoever said
- 3:13that basketball is a non contact sport never played. It's a physical game,
- 3:16and it's it's a contact sport and people try to impose their wills will on
- 3:22us and try to be more physical, and we have to handle that.
- 3:25And I can't say that we handled it great on Sunday. I thought we
- 3:29handled it better today. But I think that's what people if you're scouting us,
- 3:32I bet I think that's what people are. How people are going to
- 3:35want to try to play us, get us into those positions where they can
- 3:38get us disjointed and then have us start separating as opposed to playing together.
- 3:45Chris Asy seems to be in an okay place. Obviously, the team reacted
- 3:49well with the wind tonight, but when it happened, I mean, we've
- 3:52been so used it over the last three years. Are you hopeful with the
- 3:58You know, we're waiting just for her to get evaluated and see where things
- 4:01are. You know, I leave that up to the medical staff, right
- 4:04you. So hopefully you know we'll hear some news and one way or the
- 4:11other and then know you know, where she what we need to do and
- 4:13what she needs to do. But I think that's a few days off from
- 4:16now, right. Who's got the scout for Minnesota? Jamal Okay another Big
- 4:21ten opponent. Yeah, I wasn't even thinking that. I was just thinking
- 4:25going back to Minnesota where cold, well, it was beautiful here today.
- 4:29You know, Page thinks she goes to school in Florida compared to living in
- 4:31Minnesota. So well, the forecast, I mean, high is near fifty
- 4:35while we're there, and it's supposed to be sunny, so good. Could
- 4:39be a lot worse a week from now to be a lot warmer. It
- 4:43will where we go, it will. But I wonder if Page has ever
- 4:46actually played in the Barn. Oh she did. I still watch her in
- 4:48the state tournament game. Okay. I think she lost a bunch of them
- 4:53at the Barn before she won. She lost a couple of game state finals
- 4:58before she ended up winning them. Okay, but they play him there at
- 5:00the bar, Okay, Well that's good to know. So Page will actually
- 5:03get a home game, and it'll be a lot of fun. It will
- 5:06be. It will be all right, all right. Chris is always
