  Our God, you are higher than any other.

  Our God, you are the king of the universe.

  Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for all the many things that

  you've already done. Lord, for waking us up, putting
• 0:21
  us on our feet, giving us clean drinking water, for giving us
• 0:24
  food to eat, Lord for love and for warmth.
• 0:28
  Father for clothing, Lord, we thank you for all of the things
• 0:33
  that you've done, God seen and unseen Lord, just continue to
• 0:37
  bring about your will in this earth all over the globe, every
• 0:42
  people group in every single continent.
• 0:45
  I pray that you Lord will breakthrough, that you'll reveal
• 0:50
  yourselves in dreams, in visitations.
• 0:56
  God, I pray that you'll continue to show up as the man in white
• 1:02
  God and rescue those that are trapped in idolatry, that are
• 1:06
  trapped in violence God, that are trapped in their own
• 1:11
  self-made prisons. Lord, I pray, Lord God, that
• 1:17
  your church will rise up and be the church.
• 1:20
  We will not shrink back, we will not grow weary in doing good,
• 1:24
  but Lord, we will continue to take the whole word to the whole
• 1:28
  world. Father, I pray for the unreached
• 1:32
  people groups all over the globe.
• 1:35
  God, I pray that you will breakthrough.
• 1:38
  Lord, send missionaries. God, let us go on mission.
• 1:42
  Lord, I pray for those that are in the front lines, those are on
• 1:46
  the battlefield. Those that are in those camps.
• 1:49
  Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus for a supernatural feeling
• 1:52
  and zeal to consume them and to eat them up.
• 1:55
  Father, I pray that you will help them.
• 1:58
  Lord, give them another day of success on the mission field.
• 2:05
  God let us go out into the harvest.
• 2:07
  Lord, help us not to sit on the sidelines on our blessed
• 2:11
  assurance, but God help us to go.
• 2:13
  Help us to know that you're with us and that you're fighting our
• 2:17
  battles and that we are more than conquerors.
• 2:20
  We are the peacemakers. Lord.
• 2:22
  So I pray that you will continue to raise up ministers of
• 2:26
  reconciliation. Lord, I pray that we will be a
• 2:29
  people that are marked by your goodness and your grace and Your
• 2:32
  mercy and your love for all time sake, God, until the blessed
• 2:37
  return of our King Jesus Christ, coming with all the holy
• 2:43
  habitation. God, I thank you Lord, for
• 2:47
  salvation. I thank you God, that today is
• 2:50
  the day of salvation. I thank you Lord, that we can
• 2:53
  work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
• 2:56
  For you are worthy and you are holy.
• 2:58
  You are lovely and we get out of our own way.

  We give you center stage, we give you the whole space, the
• 3:08
  whole room. We give you our whole self.

  We love you, Lord God, with all of our strength and all of our
• 3:15
  mind, all of ourselves, God, and help us to love our neighbors as
• 3:20
  our self. Help us not to hold on to
• 3:24
  bitterness and wrath and malice and unforgiveness.

  God. I pray that you will help us,
• 3:30
  Lord, to lay down all of our false ideas, all of our false
• 3:36
  self, God, and that we will stand in the light because you
• 3:40
  are in the light, God. Help us to be the salt to this
• 3:44
  bland world, God. I pray for your will to be done,
• 3:50
  Lord. I pray that you will continue to
• 3:56
  show up and to show off, to show out, Lord.

  I pray for women who are on the verge of making a decision, God,
• 4:11
  whether to keep the child or not.
• 4:14
  God, I pray that you will give them a supernatural ability to
• 4:20
  hear your voice, Lord, and choose life.
• 4:25
  God, I pray for the nation Israel.
• 4:28
  Lord, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
• 4:35
  Lord, I pray for those that are stuck in body dysmorphia.
• 4:39
  God, I pray that you will give them their identity in Christ as
• 4:46
  image bearers of you. Lord, I pray for those that are
• 4:53
  stuck in a sinful marriage, in a sinful relationship.

  God of same sex attraction. God, I pray that they can break
• 5:05
  free and see the perfect plan that you have for their life.
• 5:10
  God, of a heterosexual lifestyle.
• 5:14
  God, that is pleasing unto you. Lord, I pray that you help them
• 5:18
  to get out of the chains that they've wrapped around
• 5:22
  themselves in the lies and deception of Satan.
• 5:25
  God, I pray that you will help them to step into the fullness
• 5:32
  that you have for them. Lord, help them to break free,
• 5:37
  Lord, from all of the accusations, God, that the enemy
• 5:42
  rails against them to trap them. Lord, I pray for a supernatural
• 5:48
  understanding and a light to shine on these camps, God, and
• 5:52
  to help them to break free from all of the satanic and demonic
• 6:00
  voices that plague their hearts and minds today.
• 6:05
  Lord, I pray that they can come up to new heights, Lord, and
• 6:11
  that they can see that you are love, Lord, and that you desire
• 6:17
  better, God, and that you desire to give them the peace that
• 6:22
  they're searching for and they cannot find.
• 6:25
  God, I pray that you will help them.
• 6:29
  Lord, I pray that you will break off depression and anxiety and
• 6:35
  anger from them, Lord. Lord, I pray that you'll remove
• 6:40
  the powerful delusion from off of their hearts and their minds.
• 6:44
  God, I pray that you will rewire them, Lord, and indoctrinate
• 6:49
  them with the word of God. Indoctrinate them with your
• 6:53
  word, God. Give them a biblical worldview,
• 6:58
  Lord. Rescue them Father, and help us
• 7:03
  to be your hands and feet. Lord, we pray against all the
• 7:07
  demonic activity in their lives. God, silence the enemy in their
• 7:15
  lives. We love you, Lord, help us.
• 7:20
  Lord, I pray that your word will never return void God, and you
• 7:27
  will not be mocked. So God, we just say yes and Amen
• 7:32
  to all your promises. We say yes and Amen to what your
• 7:36
  word says. Your word is the mandate on our
• 7:42
  lives. We love you, King Jesus.
• 7:47
  It's all about you, King Jesus, come, come, Lord, come in Jesus
• 7:56
  Christ holy and precious name I pray.

  Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.

  Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some
• 8:17
  shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits
• 8:28
  and doctrines of devils. We can see that we have arrived
• 8:34
  at these latter times, friends, this apostasy, this falling away
• 8:40
  from sound doctrine. And the Bible told us that it
• 8:45
  would be that way. And it should not come as a
• 8:48
  surprise, this doctrine of demons that is prevalent within
• 8:53
  our day and our society, Friends, all around us, you can
• 8:58
  see these false religions springing up.
• 9:01
  You can see these false sects that rise up.
• 9:06
  You can see these false denominations that rise up and
• 9:11
  propagate this doctrine of demons, friends, and it is not
• 9:16
  godly and it is not pleasing and it is not biblical.
• 9:20
  And God told us that it would be that way.
• 9:24
  We have the spirit of the Antichrist that has already gone
• 9:27
  out into the world to deceive many and lead many astray, and
• 9:32
  it is because they refused to love the truth and they
• 9:35
  delighted in evil and God said it would be so, So it should not
• 9:39
  come as a surprise. Verse 2 speaking lies in
• 9:47
  hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot
• 9:52
  iron. This is the play actor, this
• 9:56
  hypocrisy, friends. They look the part, but their
• 10:02
  speech gives them away. If you listen closely and if you
• 10:10
  are to lay what they're saying over the Word of God, it does
• 10:14
  not match up. But there are many who are
• 10:17
  unwilling to put in the hard work of searching the scripture,
• 10:21
  of being like the Bereans and going in and making sure what is
• 10:26
  being taught actually lines up with the complete, infallible
• 10:30
  and errant word of God. The context of Genesis to
• 10:34
  Revelation. Nothing added and nothing
• 10:37
  subtracted. And if you are to go into search
• 10:42
  the scriptures and to be a student of the word of God,
• 10:46
  you're going to find that most of what is being taught in all
• 10:50
  of these false religions is heresy and apostasy on a grand
• 10:57
  scale, friends. And they mix a little bit of the
• 11:01
  truth in to make it sound right. And they put on the garb, and
• 11:07
  they decorate their buildings. But it is a habitation of
• 11:13
  devil's friends, and God said it would be so.
• 11:20
  They sear their consciences with a hot iron.
• 11:24
  So they actually believe their own lies. 3 Forbidding to marry,
• 11:32
  commanding to abstain from meats which God has created, to be
• 11:37
  received with Thanksgiving of them which believe and know the
• 11:40
  truth. This is what you need to
• 11:42
  understand is that being a legalist does not make you any
• 11:46
  more spiritual with God. Those who want to go back and
• 11:51
  try to abstain and try to obtain some kind of higher spiritual
• 11:59
  plane with God by denying themselves these wonderful,
• 12:05
  beautiful things that God has put into the world, it does not
• 12:09
  please God. Friends, whenever we try to
• 12:14
  punish ourselves, this is the day that the Lord has made.
• 12:20
  Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
• 12:23
  Let us not try to think that we're somehow holier than thou
• 12:28
  whenever we are more legal, legalistic in our approach to
• 12:34
  God. It does not work that way.
• 12:36
  And here Paul wants us to know that there are two sides of the
• 12:40
  road that we can wreck on this legalism and this liberality.
• 12:46
  And the devil does not care which side you wreck on, just as
• 12:51
  long as you wreck. For for every creature of God is
• 12:59
  good and nothing to be refused if it be received with
• 13:03
  Thanksgiving. That's the key friends.
• 13:06
  He said that everything is permissible, but not everything
• 13:09
  is beneficial. He told Peter to get up and to
• 13:12
  kill and to eat. And Peter said never.
• 13:14
  I'll never eat of the unclean. And God said, don't call
• 13:18
  anything unclean that I've made clean.
• 13:22
  And we need to understand that Jesus Christ told us that it is
• 13:27
  not what goes in the body that defiles a man, but it's what
• 13:31
  comes out of a body that defiles him, which is our words.
• 13:35
  It's our doctrine, friends. We need to take heed to the
• 13:39
  things that we are teaching and believe.
• 13:42
  We need to make sure that we haven't been deceived and
• 13:46
  intermingled with lies, friends. And it's by studying God's word,
• 13:51
  it's by studying the real thing that we can guard ourselves
• 13:55
  against the counterfeit. 54 It is sanctified by the word of God
• 14:04
  in prayer. Make sure, friends, that you are
• 14:10
  a man of prayer, that you're a person of prayer.
• 14:13
  Pray over your meals before you eat, Pray over your family when
• 14:19
  you rise up in the morning and when you go to bed at night.
• 14:23
  Be a man of prayer in your workplace, friends, for this is
• 14:28
  pleasing unto God. 6 If you put the brothers in remembrance of
• 14:35
  these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ,
• 14:41
  nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine
• 14:45
  whereunto you have attained. So Paul is encouraging Timothy
• 14:50
  and he's saying, listen, bring into remembrance all the
• 14:53
  brothers that are there in the church.
• 14:56
  Remind them that Jesus Christ is worthy of a complete life, sold
• 15:04
  out. Somebody who is a man of prayer,
• 15:08
  somebody who minds their doctrine, who gives heed to
• 15:13
  their theology, who is steeped and rooted and grounded in God's
• 15:17
  Word. For this is pleasing unto the
• 15:20
  Lord. 7 But refuse profane old wives fables, and exercise
• 15:32
  yourself rather unto godliness. Let no unwholesome talk come out
• 15:39
  of your mouth, but only that which is useful for the building
• 15:44
  up of others. This is where we understand not
• 15:49
  to use profanity and vulgarity, to not be those who carouse and
• 15:57
  tell course jokes of perverse things.
• 16:02
  We do not need to be those, We need to be people who allow our
• 16:07
  words to be seasoned with grace, knowing that there's power in
• 16:14
  the tongue of life and death. 8 For bodily, bodily exercise
• 16:26
  profits little, but godliness is profitable unto all things,
• 16:34
  having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to
• 16:40
  come. You need to know that physical
• 16:42
  exercise does have some value, and we need to take care of the
• 16:48
  temple. Friends, we are the temple of
• 16:51
  God. We house the triune nature of
• 16:54
  God Almighty. So it is profitable for us to
• 17:01
  exercise and to discipline ourselves, but we need to be
• 17:06
  much more spiritually disciplined.
• 17:09
  We don't need to just go to others to spoon feed us the Word
• 17:14
  of God. We can be deceived that way.
• 17:17
  We need to be those who devote much time to prayer and much
• 17:21
  time to the studying of God's Word.
• 17:26
  This is where you see so many people flounder, you see so many
• 17:30
  people falter, you see so many people fall away because they're
• 17:35
  not rooted and grounded in God's Word.
• 17:38
  And whenever offence comes, they leave the faith and become
• 17:43
  apostate. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all
• 17:49
  acceptation. 10 For therefore, we both labor and suffer
• 17:55
  reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the
• 18:01
  Savior of all men, and especially of those that
• 18:05
  believe. So God Almighty would desire for
• 18:11
  all people groups everywhere, in every continent, all skin
• 18:15
  colors, all languages, all backgrounds, to come to the
• 18:20
  saving knowledge of God Almighty through His Son Jesus Christ.
• 18:26
  And we push and propagate Jesus over everything, and we do not
• 18:34
  care if it costs us our very lives. 11 These things command
• 18:44
  and teach, teach everyone that Jesus Christ is the only way to
• 18:52
  the Father unapologetically. He's not one of many ways.
• 18:58
  He is the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes unto the
• 19:03
  Father except through him, and that Jesus Christ is God. 12 Let
• 19:12
  no man despise your youth, but be you.
• 19:16
  An example of the believers in Word, in conversation, in
• 19:21
  charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
• 19:26
  Paul is reminding Timothy that he does not need to be looked
• 19:30
  down upon because he's younger than the others within the body.
• 19:35
  He's saying if you will do these things, then you are worthy to
• 19:40
  be a teacher and you're worthy of the respect, and you're
• 19:45
  worthy to house and to hold God's word and to teach and
• 19:51
  exhort it to others. He tells him to be a good
• 19:58
  example to all the believers in Word.

  Watch your speech. Make sure that you are.
• 20:06
  Bubbling up the word of God out of your mouth, out of the
• 20:10
  wellspring, out of your heart. Friends, in conversation, do not
• 20:16
  let yourself regress and digress off into vulgarity and perverse
• 20:24
  speech. In charity, make sure you're
• 20:27
  loving. The greatest of these is love.
• 20:30
  Friends that we do not even know love unless we know God and we
• 20:36
  need to be those that are quick to give and to give until it
• 20:43
  hurts. Friends, we need to be a good
• 20:47
  example in spirit. Don't be hateful, don't be
• 20:52
  angry, do not be short tempered, but we need to have modesty and
• 20:57
  temperance in our approach in faith.
• 21:02
  Make sure that your faith is higher and greater than your
• 21:07
  feelings, that your faith is greater than your emotions, that
• 21:12
  it is the faith, friends, that we raise up an impurity.
• 21:19
  Make sure that you are not clouded.
• 21:21
  Make sure that you're not stained.
• 21:24
  Make sure that you are not those who are duplicious and say one
• 21:31
  thing and do another. 13 until I come give attendance to reading
• 21:41
  exhortation doctrine. Make sure you mind your doctrine
• 21:45
  friends. Make sure you don't go off in
• 21:48
  tangents. Make sure you're not tossed to
• 21:51
  and fro. Make sure you know what it is
• 21:54
  that you believe and you stand firm upon it.
• 21:56
  And it's based upon God's Word and God's Word alone.
• 22:00
  Not by a certain denomination, not by the faith of your
• 22:05
  parents, not by what you've been taught.
• 22:10
  But what does the Word of God say?
• 22:13
  But how would you know unless you were in it?
• 22:18
  14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by
• 22:25
  prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the Presbyterian.
• 22:30
  The elders of the church laying on of the hands, and giving
• 22:37
  their consent, and giving their blessing upon a young man who is
• 22:42
  called to preach, is powerful. We receive through the prophecy,
• 22:49
  we receive through the Spirit of God, but he uses men as conduits
• 22:56
  to be the physical application of the laying on of hands, which
• 23:03
  is a great encouragement to a young man as he goes off into
• 23:08
  the harvest. 15 Meditate upon these things.
• 23:15
  Give yourself completely over to them, that your profiting may
• 23:21
  appear to all we'll end on. 16 Take heed unto yourself and unto
• 23:27
  the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing
• 23:31
  this you shall both save yourself and them that hear you.
• 23:36
  So whenever we recount our salvation story, whenever we are
• 23:42
  those that are going out into the harvest, it is just as
• 23:46
  beneficial for us as it is to those that we are preaching and
• 23:51
  that we are teaching and that we are exhorting and that we are
• 23:56
  extending salvation to. It's just as comforting to us.
• 24:01
  It's just as beneficial to us. And there are many who have been
• 24:08
  used greatly by God Almighty to save people.
• 24:15
  There are many people who have stood in the gap and been a
• 24:18
  wonderful mouthpiece and a wonderful example for God
• 24:23
  Almighty. There have been many upon many
• 24:26
  upon many who have been saved through the ministry.
• 24:31
  And then as time goes on, that person falls away and it does
• 24:38
  not upend the salvation of those who gave their life over to the
• 24:44
  Lord Jesus Christ through these men who have fallen away.
• 24:51
  It does not negate their salvation.
• 24:54
  God can use it without excusing it.
• 25:00
  Friends, that is what you need to understand.
• 25:04
  You do not need to doubt your salvation.
• 25:07
  If the leader who helped you find the Lord Jesus Christ falls
• 25:13
  away into moral decay and moral decline and has left the faith,
• 25:21
  it does not recount your salvation.
• 25:27
  And that is a grave gravity for all those who teach the Word of
• 25:35
  God. It does not automatically
• 25:39
  qualify. It does not automatically save
• 25:44
  you that you need to mind your doctrine and theology and work
• 25:51
  out your salvation with fear and trembling hope.
• 25:59
  You've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
