Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: Hi Valentine's. My name is Chris Farah. Welcome to Vanity
- 0:10Speaker 1: Fair with Chris, and I am pumped to give you
- 0:13Speaker 1: a brand new season of a brand new show I've
- 0:15Speaker 1: never talked about on this the most holiest of weeks
- 0:19Speaker 1: of love and whatnot, but also super Bowl happened, but
- 0:24Speaker 1: I get to talk about ninety day The Single Life.
- 0:27Speaker 1: This is season five, episode one, Art of the Love Bomb.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I really am very excited to do this because obviously
- 0:40Speaker 1: I've talked about the fact that I got to go
- 0:42Speaker 1: to the holiday party, and when I got to go
- 0:44Speaker 1: to the holiday party in December in New York for
- 0:48Speaker 1: nine at a fiance, they basically had the entire cast
- 0:51Speaker 1: of The Single Life there. Now, I sort of had
- 0:54Speaker 1: pieced that together a little bit because why would certain
- 0:58Speaker 1: people be there in that other but also even saying
- 1:01Speaker 1: that there weren't like all of the Single Life cast
- 1:05Speaker 1: members there. So now that I've gotten to spend some
- 1:10Speaker 1: face like face to face time with people to be
- 1:13Speaker 1: able to see what's happening in their lives me, I mean,
- 1:17Speaker 1: it's kind of exciting. I still don't want to be
- 1:19Speaker 1: like friends with anyone, but I do feel like I'm
- 1:21Speaker 1: going to have empathy for people, and I will get
- 1:24Speaker 1: into that.
- 1:24Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Having said that the Super Bowl happened, I didn't watch
- 1:28Speaker 1: pig surprise. I am currently moving. I am in the
- 1:34Speaker 1: process of moving. It's basically going to happen in the
- 1:38Speaker 1: next seventy three hours, seventy four hours, seventy two hours,
- 1:41Speaker 1: that's what it is. A couple give or take a
- 1:43Speaker 1: couple of hours, as I get the police cleaned up,
- 1:47Speaker 1: get the movers to move my apartment from one place,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the place that I'm in now to the new place.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So I'm a little all over the place literally, but
- 1:57Speaker 1: excited nonetheless. And it does seem like a beautiful new
- 2:01Speaker 1: week for many different reasons. So listen, if you're single
- 2:06Speaker 1: or if you are attached, this week is going to
- 2:08Speaker 1: be great Valentine's Day or not. However, I did watch
- 2:13Speaker 1: parts of the halftime show, because you know, that's besides listen. Obviously,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm not a big football person. I do like watching basketball,
- 2:23Speaker 1: but then if we're not gonna even talk about sports.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Super Bowl for me for so long was just, oh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: what friends of mine are in commercials? And boy would
- 2:31Speaker 1: I have loved to have been in that commercial. But
- 2:36Speaker 1: I do you know, I don't feel like I necessarily
- 2:38Speaker 1: am even in that space now so much, although if
- 2:42Speaker 1: I have any friends that did them, God bless you.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But at the same time, you know, obviously bad bunny happened,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I was sent this very funny thread, just like
- 2:52Speaker 1: a little line, so I wanted to shut it out.
- 2:55Speaker 1: This is from my friend Becky sent this to like
- 2:57Speaker 1: a bunch of my comedy girlfriends. But this thread is
- 3:00Speaker 1: from MEA Taylor, who said no guillotine in existence could
- 3:04Speaker 1: take away the head I would give that man in
- 3:09Speaker 1: regards to bad money, And so I lolled for a
- 3:12Speaker 1: long time. Tikihi. I liked it anyway, Oh my goodness. Yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 1: the Single Life here's the thing. Obviously, you know I
- 3:21Speaker 1: watch None of a Fiance. It's why you listen to
- 3:23Speaker 1: this podcast because you assume that I have like some
- 3:26Speaker 1: knowledge of the entire franchise, and I do. I haven't
- 3:30Speaker 1: really ever kept up with the Single Life watching episodes.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's not really hard to keep up with like what's
- 3:37Speaker 1: happening case by case if I want to like an
- 3:41Speaker 1: individual storylines, which is why Single Life was never really
- 3:45Speaker 1: important to me. The same thing kind of like with diaries,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, if something big happens in
- 3:50Speaker 1: any of their lives, I find out about it just
- 3:52Speaker 1: through social media. So I haven't ever spent a lot
- 3:55Speaker 1: of time watching single life or diaries, but here is
- 3:59Speaker 1: the time, you know, never say ever. At the same time,
- 4:03Speaker 1: this first episode I was, I was pleasantly happy with
- 4:08Speaker 1: even with some sort of like cynical aspects I came
- 4:11Speaker 1: in with. So anyway, let me let me break it down.
- 4:15Speaker 1: We're going to start with what seems like two single
- 4:20Speaker 1: life people and Julia, and they be you know, they're
- 4:24Speaker 1: a trifecta if you will, of ladies, and it's Liz, Sophie,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and Julia. So Sophie we know, or at least I know,
- 4:33Speaker 1: is friends with Julia because of Hunt for Love. Sophie
- 4:36Speaker 1: had to give us the fact that she had like
- 4:38Speaker 1: a bad situation with Liz, like on a tell all,
- 4:42Speaker 1: but that they had gotten over it and now they're
- 4:44Speaker 1: friends now. Sometimes when the franchise wants me to believe
- 4:50Speaker 1: that people are friends, it's hard for me. Like I
- 4:53Speaker 1: do believe Sophie and Julia are friends, but I just
- 4:56Speaker 1: need to feel like Sophie and Liz's vibe maybe like
- 4:59Speaker 1: are the same level. They just don't seem like they
- 5:01Speaker 1: would ever hang out. And here's the thing. Julia is
- 5:05Speaker 1: funny because Julie doesn't present as like the craziest party girl,
- 5:09Speaker 1: but she is. But she is anyway. So we're in
- 5:13Speaker 1: Costa Rica with obviously Julia, Liz, and Sophie, and Liz
- 5:17Speaker 1: wears like this really cute gravel green bikini with gold hardware,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and Sophie has a two piece, and I mean, listen,
- 5:26Speaker 1: Sophie looks different, right, Sophia looks different. So Sophie, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: likes plastic surgery. She's not the only one of the franchise,
- 5:31Speaker 1: but she looked so different that when I was kind
- 5:33Speaker 1: of like staring at her for what felt like five minutes,
- 5:37Speaker 1: but let's just say in honesty, it was probably like
- 5:40Speaker 1: twenty six seconds. And then I was like, okay, well,
- 5:43Speaker 1: first and first and foremost, she's gotten veneers for sure,
- 5:47Speaker 1: that they are larger teeth that she's holding into her
- 5:50Speaker 1: mouth that has thusly changed the structure of her face.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Now that might not be the only thing. She could
- 5:57Speaker 1: have also gotten, like a jaw. I think she might
- 6:00Speaker 1: have gotten like some jaw filler or you know whatnot
- 6:03Speaker 1: the girls are loving that, you know. So yeah, like
- 6:06Speaker 1: and she also was young when we first met her,
- 6:08Speaker 1: so like she looks different. But yeah, specifically her teeth
- 6:11Speaker 1: are big, are big and white, you know, they're just
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's that thing. They are wildly big. And it's the
- 6:17Speaker 1: thing about reality stars that like plastic surgery is that
- 6:22Speaker 1: when they weren't on the show, they like plastic surgery,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and then when they get on the show, billions of
- 6:29Speaker 1: things happen. A if you were already like super judgmental
- 6:33Speaker 1: about your looks, now it's not just you, it's like
- 6:36Speaker 1: the entire world that watches you, and who knows what
- 6:39Speaker 1: any of those people look like, and they're coming to
- 6:41Speaker 1: your page and saying whatnot. And also, b you now
- 6:44Speaker 1: have access to people who are willingly throwing free fillery
- 6:50Speaker 1: your way, free surgeries can't wait, cannot wait for you
- 6:54Speaker 1: to just do like one collaborative post being like I
- 6:57Speaker 1: just had my consultation with doctor bluebde blop blop and
- 7:00Speaker 1: can't wait for my new breasts surgery tummy tuck bluff.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's like that's what it is
- 7:07Speaker 1: right now. So all of that to say, like I'm
- 7:10Speaker 1: not shaming her. But you watch that and you're like, oh,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you know, you watched Sophie when she came on screen,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you were like, why does she look different? And so
- 7:19Speaker 1: my job is to be like, oh, veneers, if not
- 7:21Speaker 1: more vaneers, though you know, God bless so and she's nothing.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Obviously a lot of almost every bachelor, I tell you this,
- 7:28Speaker 1: the glow up from bachelor or baucherette contestant to actually
- 7:32Speaker 1: actually bachelor or bachelorette almost always includes the dropping of
- 7:36Speaker 1: pounds botox fillers, veneers and a spray tan hair highlights extensions. Okay,
- 7:42Speaker 1: so now when we see Julia, were also like, where
- 7:46Speaker 1: are we in space and time? Because we know, you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: as I've said, you can follow people's lives through their
- 7:52Speaker 1: own social media. So when the timelines of certain shows
- 7:55Speaker 1: like come up, it's always a little confusing and you
- 7:57Speaker 1: don't always have to watch them. So when this comes up,
- 7:59Speaker 1: she's doesn't seem super pregnant, right, Like she doesn't mean
- 8:02Speaker 1: like if she is pregnant, she doesn't seem like she's
- 8:05Speaker 1: far along. She has to tell us that she isn't
- 8:07Speaker 1: that she is pregnant, that she's not telling anyone, and
- 8:10Speaker 1: that no one's going to somehow ask why she's drinking
- 8:13Speaker 1: what obviously is just pure pineapple juice while the people
- 8:17Speaker 1: are drinking really yummy margarita's. I will tell you that
- 8:22Speaker 1: the thing that makes me arguably the most jealous of
- 8:27Speaker 1: any like intake of food or drink on any reality show,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I don't. I mean, I'll talk about food, but I
- 8:33Speaker 1: never really want to eat the food that's like on TV.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But almost always I always want like the yummy tropical
- 8:44Speaker 1: drink or margarita that has just been given to the
- 8:48Speaker 1: reality show contestant, like from a server. Maybe it has
- 8:52Speaker 1: taheena on the rim, maybe it's a beveled glass or
- 8:55Speaker 1: etched in some way, but you can tell there's a
- 8:57Speaker 1: heaviness to it. If it's in a pool, then you like,
- 9:00Speaker 1: oh my god, I like, would I love to just
- 9:02Speaker 1: be like in a pool just like fully handed a
- 9:06Speaker 1: skinny guava margarita on the rocks with to heen and
- 9:10Speaker 1: salt on the ream. I obviously would. I obviously would.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I mean obviously a little coconut water, you know what
- 9:15Speaker 1: you want to do in there? Anyway, I really would
- 9:17Speaker 1: love a vacation anyway, So I'm moving so anyway, uh,
- 9:23Speaker 1: Liz gets to have a little of her single lifeness
- 9:28Speaker 1: in this too, because we are going to be in
- 9:30Speaker 1: Costa Rica specifically for Sophie. Sophie has met Pedro and
- 9:35Speaker 1: she's been talking to Pedro, and Pedro has fallen in
- 9:38Speaker 1: I mean, complete amore with her, you know what I'm saying.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And then as Julia says, she knows that Sophie likes
- 9:46Speaker 1: Latinian men, Latinian Latinian men. Now when Julia says things
- 9:51Speaker 1: wrong in English, it's adorable. Liz likes older men. We know.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I don't know why she was with the person that
- 9:59Speaker 1: was she was with normally, but that is what what happened.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We have. I just always assumed she did it for
- 10:04Speaker 1: the fame. And but when I met Liz, I really
- 10:07Speaker 1: liked her personality. So I don't have to tell you
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna give her a second shot. Okay, she seems nice.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So uh. Basically, Sophie's version of like how she came
- 10:19Speaker 1: to talk to Pedro is fake, fake. This is what
- 10:22Speaker 1: she says. She said that she found Pedro on social
- 10:26Speaker 1: media and she did not know him, did not know him,
- 10:30Speaker 1: didn't know what show he was from, the very show
- 10:32Speaker 1: that she's on the same show that you're on. Didn't
- 10:36Speaker 1: know that he had his own spinoff, The Family shoun,
- 10:38Speaker 1: didn't know it that he had harvested the American daughter,
- 10:41Speaker 1: I mean daughter Dollar. He actually harvested both the American
- 10:45Speaker 1: daughter and Dollar. Sophie was like me, next, Sophie, how
- 10:50Speaker 1: dare you, girl? How dare you try and tell us
- 10:52Speaker 1: that you didn't know who he was and that you
- 10:54Speaker 1: just like found him on social media. That's why I'm like,
- 10:57Speaker 1: if I'm going to be at a holiday party with
- 10:59Speaker 1: all of you guys at this point, you could be like,
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know what, honestly I was at like I was
- 11:06Speaker 1: right after we had shot, right after we had done
- 11:08Speaker 1: Single Life, I had gone to a tell all party
- 11:11Speaker 1: and he was there. I mean, I don't know or
- 11:15Speaker 1: I knew that he was on the show, and he
- 11:16Speaker 1: reached out to me, he knew that I was on
- 11:19Speaker 1: the show. I mean, it is just the idea that
- 11:21Speaker 1: she was just scrolling and found him and then just
- 11:25Speaker 1: so happens, by like pure serendipity, that this one hot
- 11:29Speaker 1: man is also a cast member on the very reality
- 11:32Speaker 1: show that she's on. It's just I'm not THEMB girl.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Come on, he Okay, Hou's Claire, Sophie. Every time that
- 11:45Speaker 1: you are on TV, you need to like give us
- 11:48Speaker 1: a little fucking Claire update, Claire date, Claire update. It's
- 11:52Speaker 1: not so much that you aren't interesting. I do find
- 11:55Speaker 1: her interesting. And by the way, I like Sophie. I
- 11:57Speaker 1: like her voice, Like I've always liked Sophie's voice. It's
- 12:00Speaker 1: obviously real soft, but it's also like so funny because
- 12:05Speaker 1: I always like loold how different her voice was from
- 12:08Speaker 1: her mother in so many ways. A the accent, be
- 12:10Speaker 1: the tone, you know, all of it. I like Sophie.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I think that she has like a demereness and a
- 12:15Speaker 1: sweetness to her. I do think that she might have
- 12:17Speaker 1: might have issues. I do need to know what's happening
- 12:19Speaker 1: with Claire. Claire is a character. She's a character, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: like I need, I need Claire to be on the season,
- 12:26Speaker 1: like she's gonna have to call her. And here's the thing.
- 12:28Speaker 1: If Sophie's like no bitch, Claire's you know, very toxic
- 12:32Speaker 1: and I don't want to talk to her anymore. Great,
- 12:34Speaker 1: but I want to know that, like as you know Julia,
- 12:36Speaker 1: because Julia is my friend. I'm trying to pass off
- 12:39Speaker 1: Julia as one of my best friends, so as Julia knows.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So I could have a conversation with Julia on camera.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I'm not talking to Claire right now. She's she doesn't
- 12:48Speaker 1: call even anymore. She's living in Kasmania with this guy
- 12:51Speaker 1: named Dylan. He likes to eat kangaroo. You know what
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. I don't know. Could you imagine I could?
- 12:59Speaker 1: So Basically, Sophie recounts that she had told Pedro like
- 13:05Speaker 1: what her ideal first date is, and then okay, this
- 13:09Speaker 1: is I find this wildly fascinating because every part of
- 13:14Speaker 1: her relationship with Pedro is something that I've never experienced
- 13:18Speaker 1: and never like never I feel like will experience, which
- 13:22Speaker 1: for some ways and you know, is fine, and also
- 13:24Speaker 1: some ways would just like a moment of it because
- 13:26Speaker 1: it's the opposite. But let me just say this. So
- 13:29Speaker 1: she says that she's talking to Pedro and they're talking
- 13:33Speaker 1: about meeting up for the first time, and she's like,
- 13:37Speaker 1: I told him where I places I'd like to go out,
- 13:39Speaker 1: and gifts I like to get and things. Okay, one
- 13:43Speaker 1: time I went on one date and a guy gave
- 13:46Speaker 1: me one pair of sex dice, which isn't a gift.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That like makes you feel well, it's not definitely a
- 13:52Speaker 1: two K necklace. It's not a necklace that's two thousand dollars.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It's a gift that's like someone's like, well, can we
- 13:58Speaker 1: do this later, and you're like, oh cool, it's not awkward.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But in this situation, Pedro took her out and then
- 14:05Speaker 1: gave her a two thousand dollars necklace, and she was like,
- 14:09Speaker 1: it's a lot. That's a lot. But something about Sophie
- 14:12Speaker 1: is transactional and the way that she looks if you
- 14:17Speaker 1: this is how it is to me if you are
- 14:19Speaker 1: a man that wants a Sophie. I've always assumed this
- 14:23Speaker 1: that you know, you have to pay for Sophie. So
- 14:27Speaker 1: when men like and that's for men who look like Pedro.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You know, like if someone like Gino wanted to be
- 14:34Speaker 1: with Sophie, like you can't, you know, you literally but
- 14:37Speaker 1: if you unless you were like Jeff Bezos, and you
- 14:38Speaker 1: would have to be paying her so much all the time,
- 14:40Speaker 1: everything she wanted. But she just gets to move in
- 14:44Speaker 1: this space of like I have robotically put together a
- 14:49Speaker 1: contraption that is so ideal and attractive, a model of
- 14:56Speaker 1: girlfriend so attractive to some men that upon seeing me,
- 15:02Speaker 1: they immediately know that I'm expensive and that in order
- 15:07Speaker 1: to get me, it's an installment membership like monthly plan,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and you have a buy in and then you keep
- 15:15Speaker 1: up with those things. It's not that I want that,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I surely don't. I just want to be able to,
- 15:20Speaker 1: like somehow move the needle away from men just being.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Really lazy with me or avoidant of me, or treating
- 15:34Speaker 2: me like I have no specialness in me, you know,
- 15:38Speaker 2: like or whatever.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Like I wonder how, and I don't want to. But
- 15:42Speaker 1: here's the thing. I'm like, Okay, I wonder how to
- 15:44Speaker 1: just move the needle a little bit, But I also
- 15:45Speaker 1: don't want to get so much copious plastic surgery all
- 15:49Speaker 1: over myself that it's like there's bruises and drains all
- 15:53Speaker 1: the goddamn time. You know what I'm saying. It's just
- 15:56Speaker 1: so interesting, I uh, you know, obviously, but I'm happy
- 15:59Speaker 1: for her. And it's funny because she wants to be
- 16:02Speaker 1: treated well, but up unto a point and then it
- 16:04Speaker 1: becomes obviously too much an icky and I don't blame her,
- 16:07Speaker 1: but anyway, let's get into it. So she tells the story,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and she's now hung up with him a couple of times,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and now she's come to Costa Rica with a girl's trip.
- 16:16Speaker 1: And it's also she drops his sister's birthday that she's
- 16:19Speaker 1: gonna go to. When I fought that was nuts, like
- 16:22Speaker 1: and then so then I'm like, well, what was this conversation?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Because if I went out twice with someone and then
- 16:27Speaker 1: they invited me to their sister's birthday, I think I
- 16:30Speaker 1: would be like, in your hometown of a different country,
- 16:34Speaker 1: I think I would have picked up in the fact
- 16:36Speaker 1: that maybe this was serious. I don't know who's she
- 16:40Speaker 1: gets to have her friends with her, that's good. She,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm assuming is paying for her or her own hotel,
- 16:45Speaker 1: just kidding. It's production. He is putting together a van,
- 16:50Speaker 1: and what we realize from Pedro is that he is
- 16:55Speaker 1: offering this van to her as like his token of
- 16:59Speaker 1: appreciation and taking care of her, like from his masculine place.
- 17:02Speaker 1: While she's on the island. They give him literally bad
- 17:05Speaker 1: bunny esque b music so much showed that it's like
- 17:08Speaker 1: Spanish music that literally says you a bad bunny. Mala,
- 17:12Speaker 1: mala mala. And I was like, oh my god, it's
- 17:14Speaker 1: a little little on the nose. It's a little on
- 17:16Speaker 1: the natties nise. Okay, So he has friends, which is great.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You know, he looks great, he's doing well. You know,
- 17:26Speaker 1: he's living in Atlanta, but obviously he's back in Costa Rica.
- 17:31Speaker 1: His plan, his friends plan to meet Sophie and the
- 17:35Speaker 1: girls at the club later. And they're like, yeah, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: every time that you just get with a girl, you
- 17:39Speaker 1: just like jump in. You're so romantic. And he's like,
- 17:42Speaker 1: what are you talking about? As he decorates this fan
- 17:45Speaker 1: with roses, like like a bed like roses, like decorates
- 17:51Speaker 1: the veil like you know, and candles like little key
- 17:56Speaker 1: candles that are electric. But like like it's a bed,
- 17:58Speaker 1: like it's a sexy bed. It's like a it's not
- 18:01Speaker 1: a sprinter van. It's you know, just a van. It's
- 18:03Speaker 1: a nice van. I mean, I'm so happy about it.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Then he later is also decorating himself. He is getting
- 18:10Speaker 1: himself ready for the club. He is trimming. He is
- 18:13Speaker 1: trimming downstairs. He's trimming little poppy I think, like a
- 18:18Speaker 1: beard trimmer or you know, right now I'm using like
- 18:20Speaker 1: one of those little like I have, like a little
- 18:22Speaker 1: like stick trimmer. I think it's supposed to be like
- 18:24Speaker 1: something you stick up your nose. I've been using that
- 18:27Speaker 1: to just like go in and just like trim downstairs,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and I just find it so nice. I like just
- 18:34Speaker 1: my preer for me. If you want opinions, if you
- 18:38Speaker 1: can just laser or electrolysis the majority of your life
- 18:42Speaker 1: and then just keep up with like a little beard trimmer,
- 18:44Speaker 1: it's so nice. It's so easy. Anyway, he wants to
- 18:50Speaker 1: get married and have kids. He's like, I feel like
- 18:52Speaker 1: I thought it was gonna happen. Obviously wish santell with
- 18:54Speaker 1: this backstory, and it didn't happen. And I'm like thirty three,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and I want it, like I want the house. I
- 18:59Speaker 1: want the you know. And it's it's always. Let me
- 19:02Speaker 1: say this. It's it's interesting when you hear people say
- 19:05Speaker 1: that he's like traditional, you know, I can see him
- 19:08Speaker 1: wanting that. Some men say it when they think that
- 19:11Speaker 1: people want to hear it, and some men truly want that.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I some people want it, like you know, and some
- 19:15Speaker 1: people don't want it. I don't have to say men.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It's interesting. I think that, like probably for a majority
- 19:21Speaker 1: of people that are a little bit either way. Definitely,
- 19:24Speaker 1: people are like absolutely not, And if you really want kids,
- 19:30Speaker 1: there is a part of you that has to understand
- 19:33Speaker 1: it might not happen, you know, for a variety of reasons,
- 19:35Speaker 1: and it's so hard to deal with. But at the
- 19:38Speaker 1: same time, radical acceptance of where life brings you and
- 19:43Speaker 1: where you and what you can do in the present
- 19:45Speaker 1: moment is just like such an important emotionally intelligent trait
- 19:51Speaker 1: to have, but also like survival mechanism, you know, I
- 19:55Speaker 1: think about that a lot, like if you have hard
- 19:58Speaker 1: and fast needs without taking into account like something more
- 20:03Speaker 1: important like how you feel or your just own happiness,
- 20:06Speaker 1: or just like sharing connection with others, if that's not
- 20:10Speaker 1: more important than something like having children, you might find
- 20:13Speaker 1: yourself depressed or sad if that doesn't work out, or
- 20:17Speaker 1: if it works out and it's not like you planned life.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Shit is so difficult. I like single life though, I
- 20:26Speaker 1: on paper, like Sophie and Pedro makes sense. And also
- 20:32Speaker 1: it really makes me feel like Hunt for Loves could
- 20:37Speaker 1: be like ready a ready part of the franchise, because
- 20:40Speaker 1: single life kind of feels like what could happen after
- 20:44Speaker 1: Hunt for Love If people meet people like in those
- 20:49Speaker 1: situations and are in relationships that then expire, because I
- 20:53Speaker 1: again don't love the fact that we were supposed to
- 20:56Speaker 1: believe that they met online. I would have loved them
- 20:59Speaker 1: to have met in situation that we watched, and then
- 21:01Speaker 1: for this single life to happen after that, because single
- 21:04Speaker 1: life is basically happily ever after for single people. Okay,
- 21:08Speaker 1: So going back, going back, we to Liz. You know,
- 21:12Speaker 1: we know that she obviously had the situation with Big D,
- 21:15Speaker 1: but then she got cheated on by that guy Jason
- 21:18Speaker 1: that like had stood up to Ed and that sucked,
- 21:20Speaker 1: like he had a whole other girlfriend and he wasn't
- 21:21Speaker 1: there for her. But unfortunately she also I had known
- 21:25Speaker 1: one thing about this, but then she laid like another
- 21:27Speaker 1: piece of the puzzle and I did not know that
- 21:28Speaker 1: bad about her. I unfortunately knew that Liz had gone
- 21:31Speaker 1: through like a health cancer journey and that, you know,
- 21:35Speaker 1: is so difficult and scary, and she's so young, and
- 21:40Speaker 1: my heart goes out to people that have to deal
- 21:43Speaker 1: with cancer. I wish we could just be gone with it.
- 21:46Speaker 1: At the same time, she's like, you know, how I
- 21:48Speaker 1: fucking found out about the cancer. I had a miscarriage
- 21:51Speaker 1: with that asshole Jason, And so she's like, and so
- 21:54Speaker 1: I was like happy about that because then I found
- 21:57Speaker 1: out and I was like, oh my god, Liz is glowing.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Liz looks so different in every way. Like obviously she's
- 22:06Speaker 1: lost weight, so it's not just the losing weight, you know,
- 22:08Speaker 1: from the ed situation, but Liz's eyes look different, like
- 22:15Speaker 1: I do love a lighter hair, you know, like she
- 22:17Speaker 1: really seems to be some like she really seems to
- 22:22Speaker 1: have like light and joy within her. Their happiness is like,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you know, spewing out of her. And so even if
- 22:29Speaker 1: Sophie and her like don't seem like the best of
- 22:32Speaker 1: some friends, Sophie's energy is low. She's a low energy girl,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you know, like she's not super funny, she's not super
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, jovial, like that's obviously Julia. Sophie is hot
- 22:45Speaker 1: as hell, you know, like she's she is very attractive,
- 22:50Speaker 1: specifically in like the male gaze, and beauty is beauty.
- 22:56Speaker 1: So I'm not judging her, like god bless, you know,
- 22:58Speaker 1: like I don't know what that life's like, but she is.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And so she you know, doesn't have to be like funny.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm sure being funny or being too loud goes wildly
- 23:10Speaker 1: against the entire image she's crafted, which you know, speaks
- 23:16Speaker 1: to like probably why we have different situations anyway. So yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 1: but Julia is loud and Liz is fun, like Liz
- 23:23Speaker 1: is fun and engaging. So I'm happy that Liz is there.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I just yeah, I'm like, I just don't know if
- 23:28Speaker 1: you guys are really close friends, but I want I
- 23:30Speaker 1: want Liz to have fun, and Liz wants to have fun.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Liz is like, I want to meet man, I want
- 23:35Speaker 1: to like get out there, and also she's getting paid
- 23:37Speaker 1: to be on vacation. Go Liz. She wears like this muted,
- 23:40Speaker 1: cute body chndress and she's like out there to like
- 23:44Speaker 1: have some fun. Sophie's like, I mean I clubbed two
- 23:47Speaker 1: days before coming to the DR. They're like, oh, okay,
- 23:50Speaker 1: well do min in Republic? Now? I think I might
- 23:52Speaker 1: have said she was in Costa Rica before, but I
- 23:53Speaker 1: think I might have messed up, and I'm so sorry.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I think that they were in I thought they said
- 23:57Speaker 1: Costa Rica before, like I don't know if they had
- 24:00Speaker 1: flown in and then went to the DR after that. Okay,
- 24:02Speaker 1: you know what, my love, it's I know that I
- 24:04Speaker 1: know where. I know where Pedro's from so I think
- 24:07Speaker 1: I had just written the wrong thing down. So here's
- 24:10Speaker 1: the thing. Sophie and all the girls are now in
- 24:12Speaker 1: their club attire, and Sophie's wearing like, oh my god,
- 24:15Speaker 1: this number that really accentuates like how small that waste is.
- 24:18Speaker 1: And I mean, Pedro talking about Sophie's body is like, well,
- 24:23Speaker 1: it's exactly what you think. It's exactly what she wanted.
- 24:25Speaker 1: He's like, look, I saw Sophie and I was like, hair, lips, tits, ass,
- 24:32Speaker 1: then waist. I saw it all and I was like,
- 24:35Speaker 1: she is fine, and yeah, those are the exact moments
- 24:39Speaker 1: that he you know, he she wanted to hit I.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You know what it is. It's always there's It's an
- 24:44Speaker 1: interesting thing to me when beauty for for the male
- 24:48Speaker 1: gaze lies in like to me, the compartment of like
- 24:54Speaker 1: mildly cartoonish and just in how big things are? You know,
- 24:59Speaker 1: because then where is the line, like where is the
- 25:02Speaker 1: line from you know her to like Amanda Lapoor, you know,
- 25:06Speaker 1: like where is it's funny like Jessica Rabbit, you know,
- 25:09Speaker 1: like Betty Boop, you know, Sophie or Kim Kardashian or
- 25:15Speaker 1: this kind of extreme when it comes to like silhouette
- 25:19Speaker 1: and male idealistic beauty traits. It's just yeah, it's it's
- 25:25Speaker 1: funny because I know that there's like it takes all
- 25:28Speaker 1: kinds to make a world, and Sophie has like picked
- 25:32Speaker 1: her lane and she gets men who, like you know,
- 25:36Speaker 1: obviously are like little fishies to her bait. It's interesting
- 25:39Speaker 1: when Pedro was like, yeah, I want to be with her,
- 25:42Speaker 1: like I want to make her my girlfriend after this
- 25:43Speaker 1: because I want to be like, why do you think
- 25:45Speaker 1: that she's going to be like a good mother to
- 25:47Speaker 1: your kids? And I'm not saying Sophie wouldn't be, but like,
- 25:50Speaker 1: what is it? Where does the connect happen between? Like
- 25:54Speaker 1: this person is otherworldly, a sexual goddess, and I want,
- 25:59Speaker 1: you know, to be with her, and she is so
- 26:01Speaker 1: so hot to this is like my wife. Cause I
- 26:03Speaker 1: think that some men have like different versions of what
- 26:05Speaker 1: that means, and I think some men don't. And I
- 26:09Speaker 1: wonder for Sophie, like what her day in and day
- 26:12Speaker 1: out interaction interactions with men are really Like she must
- 26:16Speaker 1: truly get a version of pretty privilege. That is why
- 26:22Speaker 1: that phrase exists. She must be just idolized in certain
- 26:27Speaker 1: like transactions like, you know, like when she gets her
- 26:30Speaker 1: car changed, or you know, her oil changed in her car,
- 26:34Speaker 1: or when she's getting her groceries bagged. It must be
- 26:37Speaker 1: like a situation where the way that she looks and
- 26:40Speaker 1: like the way that she's manufactured her aesthetic genetically drives
- 26:43Speaker 1: certain people bananas. Anyway, But I think that's like there,
- 26:47Speaker 1: you know, I think that she's not the oly. Yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 1: there's a whole science to it, and I feel like
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's so interesting to watch it play out, Like the
- 26:55Speaker 1: sociology of it is fascinating. So okay, So basically, she's
- 27:00Speaker 1: wearing a hotty toddy dress. He's obsessed with it and
- 27:03Speaker 1: he cannot wait to see her, and she like, you know,
- 27:05Speaker 1: looks great. Julia's wearing a little like play suit. I
- 27:08Speaker 1: already told you what Liz wears. They're all super cute.
- 27:10Speaker 1: They get into the van. The van is decked out,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and Julia is so funny because she's like.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Candle in a car, ca, candle in a car? Can, uh,
- 27:24Speaker 3: there's a candle in the car. She cannot get over
- 27:26Speaker 3: the fact there's candles in the car. It overwhelms her,
- 27:29Speaker 3: It blows her mind. She's like, why would this person
- 27:32Speaker 3: do it. It's absolutely too much. Sophie is like, gets
- 27:35Speaker 3: the eck, gets the hardcore. Liz is trying to make
- 27:38Speaker 3: it better because Liz.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Is like, this is nice, This would be nice if
- 27:42Speaker 1: someone did this to me, because and even Sophie is
- 27:45Speaker 1: like trying. It's hard when someone is doing too much.
- 27:49Speaker 1: It's difficult to be like, oh no, this is making
- 27:53Speaker 1: me get the ick, it's making me go inward and
- 27:56Speaker 1: I suddenly can't be excited or I can't be attracted,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, or I suddenly feel like a certain way,
- 28:02Speaker 1: And the truth of the matter is too much too
- 28:04Speaker 1: soon can do that. But at the same time, if
- 28:08Speaker 1: someone starts to like come on a little strong, and
- 28:11Speaker 1: you've like hung out with them after a while and
- 28:14Speaker 1: you're not into it, I think it's at the end
- 28:16Speaker 1: of the day, like the telltale sign that you guys
- 28:18Speaker 1: aren't supposed to be together. I think that coming on
- 28:21Speaker 1: too strong in the very beginning, like I said, is
- 28:23Speaker 1: never good. But as people get to know each other,
- 28:27Speaker 1: if someone's energy starts to pick up and your energy doesn't,
- 28:33Speaker 1: it's just like, well, that's a great opportunity to check
- 28:37Speaker 1: in and be like, well, I guess not the checking
- 28:40Speaker 1: in of how you feel in relationships is so difficult.
- 28:43Speaker 1: First of all, can you hear me? There's like literally
- 28:46Speaker 1: trash cans coming right now. I hope if I say
- 28:49Speaker 1: this right now, because this is like not sponsored or whatever.
- 28:52Speaker 1: This doesn't like end up in your algorithm, but whatever,
- 28:54Speaker 1: God bless, I randomly got Instagram ads or this like
- 29:01Speaker 1: somadic matchmaking speed dating service where it's like a speed
- 29:07Speaker 1: dating thing where you go to an event and instead
- 29:11Speaker 1: of it being like sitting down and just like conversations,
- 29:14Speaker 1: it's like you have meaningful, so madic experiences with people,
- 29:20Speaker 1: like trust falls, or like staring at each other in
- 29:25Speaker 1: their eyes for a long time, or like a breathing exercise,
- 29:29Speaker 1: or like holding hands or something where you have to
- 29:33Speaker 1: not talk and somehow access like other parts of your
- 29:38Speaker 1: body and your nervous system to truly either make a
- 29:41Speaker 1: connection with someone or at least get yourself attuned to
- 29:45Speaker 1: how you feel with someone else around you. And so
- 29:50Speaker 1: I'm like somewhat fascinated by it, not so much that
- 29:52Speaker 1: I think I'm going to meet someone at one of
- 29:54Speaker 1: these events, but just so the practice of seeing how
- 29:59Speaker 1: I feel next to someone, because I think I get
- 30:04Speaker 1: over stimulated, and I can like just talk a lot,
- 30:08Speaker 1: and I think that I can let my mind just
- 30:11Speaker 1: like jump from thought to thought, and in doing so,
- 30:14Speaker 1: I tend to like not pay attention to again how
- 30:17Speaker 1: I feel or how someone else is making me feel,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and how like how attentive they either are like energetically
- 30:24Speaker 1: or not. And I think it could be like a
- 30:27Speaker 1: really great, great practice because it almost seems like the
- 30:29Speaker 1: opposite of phone culture, scrolling culture, or like dating app
- 30:36Speaker 1: culture anyway, So I just have you guys gone so
- 30:40Speaker 1: now Having said that, if you have gone to anything
- 30:43Speaker 1: like that, this one's called the feels, but I'm sure
- 30:45Speaker 1: there's other things like that. Tell me. Also, thank you
- 30:48Speaker 1: so much for something. Also give me five stars. Okay,
- 30:51Speaker 1: back to business. All right, So, yeah, she's she's she's
- 30:56Speaker 1: not into it, but god bless at one point, ain't
- 31:00Speaker 1: Julia's like it's nanny nanny, And then Sophie has to
- 31:04Speaker 1: be like, I know how to speak Julian who's trying
- 31:06Speaker 1: to say naughty naughty, and Julia is so super cute.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And also Sophie's like high class, you know, non rhotic
- 31:15Speaker 1: English accent is lovely to hear naughty naughty, Okay. So
- 31:22Speaker 1: Sophie gets to the club and she gives Pedro an
- 31:26Speaker 1: awkward side hug, and he is cognizant of it, and
- 31:29Speaker 1: not just him his friends. Villa is one of his friends.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Villa's cute. You know who thinks Hila's cute, Liz, And
- 31:34Speaker 1: we're like, yep, Liz and Villa, we're into it. He
- 31:37Speaker 1: I mean Pedro again is like, she's stunning. She looks stunt.
- 31:40Speaker 1: You are wildly gorgeous. She's like, thanks, you look good.
- 31:45Speaker 1: She does say you look good anyway, how nice? Okay,
- 31:49Speaker 1: So Villa's there, like we said, uh, there's also Genesis Rafael,
- 31:54Speaker 1: someone named Darling. And Sophie is just like, the expectation
- 31:59Speaker 1: of me is too high, Like it's too much. It
- 32:01Speaker 1: feels like everyone's staring at me like I'm on a
- 32:03Speaker 1: job interview. Like she's also a shy girl already. Like again,
- 32:07Speaker 1: she's not coming out there like Julia, you know, like
- 32:10Speaker 1: there's a cartwheel involved as she like comes on stage
- 32:13Speaker 1: and you know, jokes, she's like, and she looks the
- 32:16Speaker 1: way she does, so she's a beautiful girl. And so
- 32:18Speaker 1: again everyone's like judging her. She knows it to think
- 32:20Speaker 1: about whether Pedro thinks that this hot girl is actually hot,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you know, or whatever she is afraid these people are
- 32:27Speaker 1: going to think which is true. Like the unfortunate thing
- 32:30Speaker 1: of being gorgeous and or beautiful or whatever is that
- 32:34Speaker 1: you kind of have to consider whether people still think
- 32:40Speaker 1: you are presently like because there seems to be like
- 32:43Speaker 1: a fickleness with beauty and or love like that it
- 32:47Speaker 1: can change, which I think, like when you read a
- 32:50Speaker 1: lot of like the Marilyn Monroe letters and diaries, that
- 32:54Speaker 1: fear or that like unspoken you know, well she spoke it,
- 32:58Speaker 1: but I mean, you know if she wrote it, that
- 33:00Speaker 1: just kind of like pervasive feeling that the ground's gonna
- 33:04Speaker 1: fall from underneath you, like some weird imposter syndrome that
- 33:08Speaker 1: people think that you are beautiful or sexy or gorgeous,
- 33:14Speaker 1: but that they'll rub their eyes and blink and look
- 33:17Speaker 1: sideways and suddenly see you differently. It's just like a nightmare.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I mean, I'm assuming or just that age happens to
- 33:23Speaker 1: you and then you wake up and suddenly you're not.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I mean, who knows the budget of things? You know,
- 33:26Speaker 1: Like it's why you can't, you know, put all your
- 33:30Speaker 1: stock in that why you got to put your eggs
- 33:32Speaker 1: in multiple baskets, little bunnies. Okay, So basically again, Liz
- 33:39Speaker 1: and Villa look like they're going to have some fun.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Pedro and Sophie end up having some alone time and
- 33:47Speaker 1: seeing if they can get back to like a flirty space.
- 33:50Speaker 1: And Julia is just I don't even know, like hanging
- 33:54Speaker 1: out with other people, you know, like like do they
- 33:56Speaker 1: know that Julia's pregnant and married? Do those people? Julia?
- 34:02Speaker 1: I love to I would love to know, like where
- 34:04Speaker 1: Brandon is in this very moment in time, And the
- 34:07Speaker 1: answer is like with his parents in the hot tub,
- 34:09Speaker 1: I guess. Okay, so let's move on to kim Bally.
- 34:13Speaker 1: So kim Bally is doing laser tag with a gentleman
- 34:19Speaker 1: named Javier in a blue shirt. You know, she gives
- 34:25Speaker 1: us a little bit of her backstory, which we've been knowing.
- 34:27Speaker 1: But basically, if you don't remember when she was nineteen
- 34:30Speaker 1: she enlisted in the army, I don't remember her telling
- 34:34Speaker 1: us if she was a sharp shooter then, but I'm
- 34:37Speaker 1: glad she reminded us she was a sharp shooter. And
- 34:41Speaker 1: what However, through the course of this story, I feel
- 34:45Speaker 1: like we certainly get clarification of like what happened with
- 34:49Speaker 1: Jamal's dad and all the things, I mean, not everything,
- 34:51Speaker 1: but uh, we definitely get more information about that. Kim
- 34:56Speaker 1: Bally feels so wildly different now than and she also
- 35:00Speaker 1: felt when we first met her kind of like Liz.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Liz also had lost weight. Kim Bully has also gone
- 35:06Speaker 1: through like a health journey, so that's one part of it.
- 35:08Speaker 1: But also a lightness of being, I mean, a joy
- 35:12Speaker 1: of being, you know, like they both have great highlights,
- 35:15Speaker 1: you know, and they were both with in some ways
- 35:18Speaker 1: hard to deal with men. Also, they were both with
- 35:22Speaker 1: hard to deal with men that we the audience had
- 35:26Speaker 1: already seen on this show and had already known were nightmares.
- 35:32Speaker 1: So when we met Kim Bully, we were like, girl,
- 35:34Speaker 1: did you see Baby Girl Lisa and raw Dog and like,
- 35:38Speaker 1: what are you talking about? What? So? But okay, but
- 35:41Speaker 1: we and by we I mean collectively the ninety day
- 35:46Speaker 1: audience liked Kim Bully one hund percent more than we
- 35:51Speaker 1: liked Baby Girl Lisa. Baby gir Liza never came back
- 35:53Speaker 1: to the franchise. Baby Girl Lisa looks a little bit
- 35:56Speaker 1: like the Lisa of Lisa and Danielle okay with Liz.
- 36:02Speaker 1: We were again I said this already, we were like
- 36:04Speaker 1: curl big Ed. We've been seeing how big Ed treats
- 36:07Speaker 1: women and it's it's so horrific for you to have
- 36:13Speaker 1: access to that footage and sign up. Then what is
- 36:15Speaker 1: happening here? Like what is what is right from wrong?
- 36:18Speaker 1: Do you know it?
- 36:19Speaker 3: You know?
- 36:21Speaker 1: But again, the women are back, They're living their lives
- 36:24Speaker 1: two point zero and I'm happy to have like a
- 36:28Speaker 1: fresh space to see how they're living and like give
- 36:31Speaker 1: myself some understanding of why they did what they did before.
- 36:36Speaker 1: She's kind of flirting with this guy hobby Air. She
- 36:38Speaker 1: says that, well, you know, he's kind of handsome, but
- 36:41Speaker 1: she obviously like just getting her really handsome. And then
- 36:44Speaker 1: he says, you know, gracias, and she's like Danada, she
- 36:48Speaker 1: loves flavor.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Uh.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Then we get a scene with Jamal. Jamal and her
- 36:53Speaker 1: are obviously hanging out. He comes over to her house,
- 36:56Speaker 1: He has no problem grocery shopping through her frigeration, grabs
- 37:00Speaker 1: a potato, she says, though things are kind of tense.
- 37:03Speaker 1: At the holiday party, both people were there. Jamal again
- 37:07Speaker 1: is someone who came into the franchise having dated someone
- 37:10Speaker 1: who already saw in the franchise. Now it was a
- 37:13Speaker 1: different situation because he dated Veronica and Veronica was the
- 37:17Speaker 1: ex girlfriend of Tim, and Tim had come on the
- 37:19Speaker 1: franchise to date Jennifer. Okay, So then when I think
- 37:25Speaker 1: maybe it was a single life or happily of her
- 37:27Speaker 1: after who knows, I watched it, so I'm assuming it
- 37:30Speaker 1: was a happily of her after we watched what did
- 37:32Speaker 1: I just say? Jamal and Veronica and in Jamal Veronica's story,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I had the same reaction I normally do, which is
- 37:39Speaker 1: that if Jamal, who was already adjacent to the franchise,
- 37:44Speaker 1: is suddenly on the franchise, I'm assuming this person wants
- 37:47Speaker 1: to be famous. And I also didn't buy the chemistry,
- 37:53Speaker 1: sexual or romantic of their relationship. What I saw was, yes,
- 38:00Speaker 1: a much younger man be like wishy washy whatever, too
- 38:05Speaker 1: cool cash to like, an an older lady who like
- 38:09Speaker 1: seemed heavily into it and was trying to get him
- 38:13Speaker 1: to admit or commit to a relationship, and he would
- 38:18Speaker 1: do neither. So to me, I was like, I don't
- 38:23Speaker 1: have an understand where why we're watching this. This is
- 38:26Speaker 1: not even a relationship. This feels like a bad feels
- 38:29Speaker 1: like a hinge communication that's happening on TV where you
- 38:34Speaker 1: guys are so not even on the same page of
- 38:36Speaker 1: being interested in each other. It's awkward. I say, hinge,
- 38:39Speaker 1: like you know, when you're just like walking, when you're
- 38:40Speaker 1: just like I don't know if you're on the app.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I will be honest, I want to rip myself from them,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I mean the process of doing so. But it didn't
- 38:49Speaker 1: even feel like they had made it to the stage
- 38:52Speaker 1: of dating. They were still talking. So at that point
- 38:56Speaker 1: I was like, I don't have like any of like
- 39:01Speaker 1: truth or authenticity in Jamal's storyline in this to make
- 39:04Speaker 1: me like him, because I think that what makes me
- 39:07Speaker 1: connect with a person or a character, like there's always
- 39:10Speaker 1: like a moment of vulnerability that they show, or like
- 39:13Speaker 1: a moment of heart that they show, or like a
- 39:16Speaker 1: struggle or something real. It's like I need realness, like
- 39:20Speaker 1: I need authenticity or sincerity. What are they moving through
- 39:25Speaker 1: and like what do they know about themselves? And what
- 39:27Speaker 1: are they like learning about themselves and what are they
- 39:29Speaker 1: saying about themselves or this situation that either rings true
- 39:32Speaker 1: with me or makes me feel like they have a
- 39:34Speaker 1: soul about them. If those things don't happen, I'm usually
- 39:38Speaker 1: not going to be like a fan of yours and
- 39:41Speaker 1: fans a big word, you know what I'm saying. So Okay,
- 39:43Speaker 1: So when I met Jamal at the holiday party, I
- 39:46Speaker 1: was like, hey, hey, hey, hi. I think that he
- 39:50Speaker 1: was like, what do you say about me? And I've
- 39:53Speaker 1: or maybe had asked that, or maybe I had offered
- 39:55Speaker 1: the fact that nothing horrible, but also nothing great. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: don't really know who you are. I don't know why
- 40:00Speaker 1: you're dating her, I don't know who your type is.
- 40:02Speaker 1: You seem again, like I said, like you just are
- 40:05Speaker 1: unbothered moving through life, you know, like waiting to see
- 40:09Speaker 1: like what thing is going to spark an interest in
- 40:12Speaker 1: you before you act. So this Jamal, though we're getting
- 40:14Speaker 1: on this single life, already seems like a completely different Jamal,
- 40:18Speaker 1: like someone who is sitting in like who they are,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and like is willing and able to, like I don't know,
- 40:24Speaker 1: talk about what's happening with themselves, isn't just putting up
- 40:28Speaker 1: weird kind of like bro esque walls of like yeah
- 40:31Speaker 1: whatever you know anyway, So I'm not making myself clear,
- 40:35Speaker 1: but already I can tell that Jamal's relationship with his
- 40:38Speaker 1: mother is going to give us a different Jamal, and
- 40:40Speaker 1: a different Jamal will be like a to me, a
- 40:43Speaker 1: great one because it didn't seem like he was truly
- 40:46Speaker 1: affected enough by Veronica to showcase who his personality is,
- 40:50Speaker 1: and we ended up getting kind of like a surface
- 40:52Speaker 1: level maybe like too cool for school Jamal that I
- 40:55Speaker 1: was just like not interested in, bored by, But I
- 41:00Speaker 1: like his mom. I like Kimberly. So Kimberly is working
- 41:03Speaker 1: now at a spa. I'm like so happy for her.
- 41:05Speaker 1: She's like I love it. It's like, you know, I get
- 41:07Speaker 1: to just be super organized and I enjoy that from
- 41:09Speaker 1: the military thing. I'm like, okay, girl, But also, do
- 41:12Speaker 1: you get free facials and free massages because the good
- 41:16Speaker 1: I mean a spa ritual like at a hotel. I'm
- 41:18Speaker 1: sure they're great there. I'm sure they do. Like all
- 41:21Speaker 1: the hydro facials, Oh my god. Half of me being
- 41:24Speaker 1: like I bet those highlights come from that spa. I
- 41:27Speaker 1: bet that, you know, like half of your disc glow
- 41:29Speaker 1: comes from the fact that you're getting like massages like this,
- 41:32Speaker 1: Kimberly is like getting it in like we've alreadyn me
- 41:34Speaker 1: hat hovey here, we're gonna meet some another guy named
- 41:36Speaker 1: Bee later. Like Kimberly is on the prout, Kimberly is
- 41:39Speaker 1: hormonally active. She is getting it in and I'm really
- 41:43Speaker 1: happy about that. And I think if I was to
- 41:46Speaker 1: put anything on this, it's that I'm happy that she
- 41:49Speaker 1: works at a SPA because I think that it gives
- 41:52Speaker 1: her a lot of things. A a job that she likes,
- 41:55Speaker 1: be friends like Lily that she enjoys, see access to
- 41:59Speaker 1: beauty treatment like that make her feel good about herselfs.
- 42:03Speaker 1: But also, like I said, d massage literally human touch,
- 42:07Speaker 1: and I think for like people that are single, I
- 42:10Speaker 1: think everyone deserves Okay, first all, everyone needs human touch, period.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Everyone needs human touch period. B No one's getting it
- 42:16Speaker 1: unless you're in a relationship or currently a baby or
- 42:20Speaker 1: like you know, I don't know, in a cuddle group.
- 42:22Speaker 1: It's so rare that you get it. And so yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 1: getting massage is important. Talk to Aneline about it, Okay,
- 42:29Speaker 1: Javon and Anneline, that's who I mentioned. So basically, after work,
- 42:35Speaker 1: she and Lily are going to go hang out and
- 42:39Speaker 1: Lily is like a lovely friend who truly cares about Kimberly.
- 42:43Speaker 1: And in this little confessional, I'm like, you can tell
- 42:47Speaker 1: that Lily has like a genuine relationship with Kimberly. She's like, yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 1: she's a great person, she does a lot for other people.
- 42:55Speaker 1: She's never experienced love, and I want her to find it,
- 42:59Speaker 1: you know, she deserves. Now. Kimberly saying that she's never
- 43:02Speaker 1: experienced love when she says that, I think that she
- 43:05Speaker 1: thinks that that's going to be like shocking, and I
- 43:08Speaker 1: think that probably for a lot of people, maybe it is,
- 43:11Speaker 1: but to me it's not. I haven't And just because
- 43:14Speaker 1: Kimberly had one child or two or really or maybe more,
- 43:20Speaker 1: you know, it doesn't mean that that has ever happened
- 43:21Speaker 1: for her. And I think that there's a certain kind
- 43:24Speaker 1: of like necessary time where the relationship is so symbiotic,
- 43:30Speaker 1: where like the giving and taking and trust, communication and
- 43:35Speaker 1: comfort has been so has has had a version of
- 43:40Speaker 1: stability that allows someone to sit in the idea of
- 43:45Speaker 1: being in love, because if you were to break down
- 43:49Speaker 1: what love is, and I mean I wish, I mean
- 43:52Speaker 1: I wish someone would for me because again I haven't
- 43:54Speaker 1: been in it. But to me, again, someone who hasn't
- 43:57Speaker 1: been in love, I'm assuming it's some version of a
- 44:02Speaker 1: one turning like a hormonal style love, sick crush, or infatuation.
- 44:07Speaker 1: That is, you know, not is comes from both sides,
- 44:12Speaker 1: not unrequitted. If that situation sustains through healthy communication and
- 44:17Speaker 1: emotional intelligence by both parties to an actual relationship. You know,
- 44:22Speaker 1: I think that that could be love. I also think
- 44:24Speaker 1: that maybe, and I do again, don't know. It could
- 44:26Speaker 1: be where you just are friends with someone and suddenly
- 44:30Speaker 1: some moment happens where you guys just either get struck
- 44:34Speaker 1: or wake up or settle in or just pick up
- 44:37Speaker 1: on the fact that you're in love. I have. I'm
- 44:39Speaker 1: assuming one of those things happen, or you're just slowly
- 44:43Speaker 1: casually dating, and then at one point one of you
- 44:48Speaker 1: thinks maybe that it is, and then later on the
- 44:51Speaker 1: other one maybe considers that it could be, but no
- 44:53Speaker 1: one says anything until one moment someone says something and
- 44:55Speaker 1: they're like, oh, yeah, me too. I mean, you know,
- 44:57Speaker 1: it could be. I don't know why it hasn't happened
- 44:59Speaker 1: for Kimba. But the truth is, even if she said it,
- 45:02Speaker 1: even if it's been said to her, upon reflection, upon
- 45:05Speaker 1: like introspection and time spent, it's I think incredibly brave
- 45:10Speaker 1: to be open and honest of what love is and
- 45:12Speaker 1: if you've experienced it. They go to Maverick's Beach Club
- 45:15Speaker 1: with her friends Laurie and Jody, and they go to
- 45:19Speaker 1: an event that is a pitch a friend. So basically
- 45:23Speaker 1: at a bar, there's going to be a PowerPoint presentation
- 45:26Speaker 1: where a host will have people come up and pitch
- 45:29Speaker 1: their friends. Now, the host of the event is this
- 45:32Speaker 1: super cute girl that looks like she's wearing like jeans
- 45:36Speaker 1: from like the two thousand eighths and it's like Cargo
- 45:40Speaker 1: Indigo blue baggy jeans, and she has I assume tailored
- 45:49Speaker 1: the waist to nip it in such a way that
- 45:51Speaker 1: I was like, I love it. Give me those jeans.
- 45:53Speaker 1: She looks great. So then they put up the Kimbally presentations.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Her friends go up and they're like, okay, get to
- 46:02Speaker 1: know Kimbali basics. First slide. She's fifty five years old.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And then they say she's a true San Diego Native
- 46:10Speaker 1: and for some reason, they wrote San Diego Native as
- 46:13Speaker 1: one word no capitalization, Sandy GOGNIDIV. She says, true sandygnitdiv.
- 46:19Speaker 1: You know, you're just like what happened to the space
- 46:20Speaker 1: bar was or just not enough I mean not enough
- 46:23Speaker 1: characters there. She's a military veteran and she in huge
- 46:29Speaker 1: huge cap says has a son, has a son?
- 46:33Speaker 2: End?
- 46:34Speaker 1: Okay, next line fun facts. Loves marine life and aquariums
- 46:39Speaker 1: marine the M and marine is capitalized for some reason.
- 46:45Speaker 1: She's not afraid of a lot dot dot toad except
- 46:47Speaker 1: for snails. She loves big strong men, and she doesn't
- 46:51Speaker 1: suffer fools. They also then go on she's like, they
- 46:56Speaker 1: love cats. She loves cats. So anyone that you know
- 46:58Speaker 1: doesn't love cats, I mean yeah, even Kibili was like
- 47:02Speaker 1: you could have like held off the cat thing. Everyone
- 47:06Speaker 1: there is young. The youngest person that's forty three, you know,
- 47:10Speaker 1: is a young forty three specific specifically because of what
- 47:14Speaker 1: I'm about to say next. Remember the first guy that
- 47:16Speaker 1: went up was forty three and she was like, no,
- 47:18Speaker 1: that's too young. So she doesn't meet him in there
- 47:21Speaker 1: because again, no one is in her age range. But
- 47:23Speaker 1: she also gets a booty call text from someone she
- 47:27Speaker 1: says is named Be and she's like, I gotta go guys.
- 47:30Speaker 1: BE is you know, texting me? And B is my
- 47:34Speaker 1: booty call? Yeah? Bee will always book like a fancy
- 47:38Speaker 1: hotel room because he has roommates and already and I can,
- 47:43Speaker 1: you know, obviously have a place where Jamal will just
- 47:45Speaker 1: come over at anytime trying to find a potato. And
- 47:48Speaker 1: it's funny to me because half of me is like, oh,
- 47:51Speaker 1: how fancy are these hotel rooms? Only because if he
- 47:53Speaker 1: can afford so many fancy hotel rooms, like why I
- 47:56Speaker 1: have roommates. But that's a very bitchy thing for me
- 47:58Speaker 1: to say. Okay, I'm not done though. So basically, she
- 48:02Speaker 1: goes over to bees. She has an LV that she's
- 48:05Speaker 1: carrying honey she loves at ELV. She goes over to
- 48:08Speaker 1: B and B is be is nice. B does not
- 48:13Speaker 1: want to be in a relationship. She obviously wants to
- 48:16Speaker 1: be in a relationship. She does this thing where she's like, hey, yeah,
- 48:21Speaker 1: I just came from this event. I just love that
- 48:23Speaker 1: I can talk to you about things like this. You know, sorry,
- 48:25Speaker 1: just put this mid up. And she's like, I when
- 48:29Speaker 1: did this pitch me event? And you know my single
- 48:31Speaker 1: friends are trying to get me, you know, to get
- 48:34Speaker 1: in a relationship. I love it. I can just like
- 48:37Speaker 1: not have you be jealous if I say, you know,
- 48:40Speaker 1: how I'm being pitched to other man? How you're okay?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Hearing man? He's like, yeah, baby, I am, and she's
- 48:44Speaker 1: like great, because what she really wants be to be
- 48:47Speaker 1: like is like, baby, why are you doing that? Like
- 48:51Speaker 1: you shouldn't have to be pitched to other men like
- 48:53Speaker 1: you are mune. Oh, well you all for me? But
- 48:55Speaker 1: you know what he doesn't say that he doesn't and
- 48:59Speaker 1: I want for her. I want him to, but but
- 49:02Speaker 1: he doesn't, you know, like, and that's annoying. He should,
- 49:06Speaker 1: he absolutely should, she would do. She deserves it. So
- 49:10Speaker 1: basically they hold hands, then she takes a shower, then
- 49:14Speaker 1: they bone, and then she goes back the next morning,
- 49:18Speaker 1: like walk a shame. By the way, this is B.
- 49:20Speaker 1: She goes back walk a shame to her own home
- 49:23Speaker 1: and Jamal's there and she's like, it just came back
- 49:26Speaker 1: from Bee's house. And then she says that B is
- 49:29Speaker 1: forty four, and I want to you to know that
- 49:33Speaker 1: he is not, that he is not forty four. And
- 49:35Speaker 1: if he is forty four, then he has lived so
- 49:40Speaker 1: hard I can't believe he's alive. And not just because
- 49:45Speaker 1: Bee is you know, has is black and therefore like
- 49:49Speaker 1: should look younger. He isn't forty four. The man that
- 49:52Speaker 1: like was at the pitch show that he was forty three,
- 49:56Speaker 1: you know, looks twenty two in comparison to this forty four.
- 50:00Speaker 1: You know, who's forty four? So guess what? No, So anyway,
- 50:03Speaker 1: God bless, Jamal and Kimberly are putting together, you know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: like a piece of fron nurture. She needs to put together.
- 50:10Speaker 1: And Kimberly is already hinted at the fact that there
- 50:13Speaker 1: is tension between them and that there are secrets, and
- 50:16Speaker 1: we dive into what those secrets are. So Jamal's dad
- 50:22Speaker 1: and Kimberly were both in the military, and they obviously
- 50:28Speaker 1: were in a relationship off and on or whatnot. He
- 50:32Speaker 1: cheated on Kimberly a lot. They had a child together
- 50:37Speaker 1: early on in Kimberly's career. That child was named Larry,
- 50:41Speaker 1: and she gives Larry up for adoption. Jamal's dad continues
- 50:44Speaker 1: to cheat on her, but she's still in a relationship
- 50:47Speaker 1: with him. She obviously gets pregnant again and that's Jamal.
- 50:52Speaker 1: She never tells, and then, of course, you know, she
- 50:54Speaker 1: gets out of the army. We're not quite sure what's
- 50:56Speaker 1: happening with Jamal and Larry's dad, we catch up to
- 51:01Speaker 1: where we all now. We know that Jamal and Kimberly
- 51:04Speaker 1: have a very close relationship. A year ago, Larry, through
- 51:08Speaker 1: like my twenty three and me, reaches out and finds Kimbally,
- 51:12Speaker 1: and so Kimberly, who has sat on the secret for
- 51:15Speaker 1: a long time, has to tell Jamal you know that
- 51:19Speaker 1: he has a full brother, a full older brother. Yeah,
- 51:25Speaker 1: and you know when Jamal hears this, he finds it devastating.
- 51:29Speaker 1: He finds it devastating that like his closest like ally
- 51:32Speaker 1: in this world, like the person that he sees the most,
- 51:35Speaker 1: his mother, who like looks in his eyes, like the
- 51:36Speaker 1: person that he spends the most time with, would have
- 51:39Speaker 1: and could have lied about something so like integral to
- 51:42Speaker 1: the family unit and in his life. And I think
- 51:45Speaker 1: it rocked him. And in a very real way. It's
- 51:47Speaker 1: like what I was saying before, like I would see
- 51:48Speaker 1: how would he's like a young man when you are
- 51:51Speaker 1: when you are human, like you're kind of feels like
- 51:53Speaker 1: you're constantly building your life on the truths that you
- 51:59Speaker 1: assume to be true, but that you tell yourself are true.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Like in order to find our place in this world.
- 52:08Speaker 1: It's like we're trying to like find our footing, you know,
- 52:10Speaker 1: and there's so many ways, like what is the ground? Okay,
- 52:12Speaker 1: what does that feel like? If that is the ground,
- 52:14Speaker 1: then I can stand. Okay, then I can you know,
- 52:15Speaker 1: like move on from there. If I could put the
- 52:17Speaker 1: light out of the room, then I can see. It's
- 52:19Speaker 1: like you need to have certain like things to hold
- 52:24Speaker 1: on to, to grasps, to grasp And I think that
- 52:27Speaker 1: something like the way that you view your family though,
- 52:32Speaker 1: your understanding of your family unit sort of gets put
- 52:37Speaker 1: into like the identity of who you are. So if
- 52:41Speaker 1: things are shaken or if truths are revealed, it can
- 52:45Speaker 1: really like shake up who you think you are and
- 52:47Speaker 1: what you thought was real. So I mean this part
- 52:50Speaker 1: for me, I was like Jamal, I would like a
- 52:53Speaker 1: need like a bunch more information for you from you,
- 52:56Speaker 1: Like are you in therapy? What was it like for
- 52:59Speaker 1: you to meet Larry? You know, because we do get
- 53:01Speaker 1: this is all from Kimberly's point of view, so even
- 53:04Speaker 1: though Jamal's there, we do get a little bit from him.
- 53:05Speaker 1: But like Kimberly's like, yeah, I hit Larry for so long.
- 53:08Speaker 1: So when I went to go meet Larry. I was
- 53:10Speaker 1: so happy because he was such a lovely, you know,
- 53:13Speaker 1: man that had his whole life together, and I knew
- 53:16Speaker 1: that he probably would not have been in such great
- 53:20Speaker 1: shape if I had raised him. Then Kimberly says that
- 53:28Speaker 1: she needs to have a deep talk with Jamal about
- 53:31Speaker 1: the other one. And I mean this becomes like wildly
- 53:35Speaker 1: intensely dramatic. I mean, it's quite a different place to
- 53:39Speaker 1: be than just like, oh I'm minniggbling. Was someone named
- 53:44Speaker 1: he Javier and money, you know, I'm going to a
- 53:46Speaker 1: pitch thing with my fun friends. It was a lot
- 53:48Speaker 1: of like real life, you know, like trauma, and I
- 53:52Speaker 1: was I didn't. I mostly just felt like it was
- 53:54Speaker 1: really brave of Kimberly and Jamal to like let it
- 53:57Speaker 1: be known. So I wonder if we're gonna meet Larry
- 53:59Speaker 1: obviously as a sister involved now I want to know more,
- 54:02Speaker 1: but more will more so with KIMBALI I think Javier
- 54:08Speaker 1: was cute. If she wants to date him, I think
- 54:10Speaker 1: that someone really has to tell her that b is
- 54:13Speaker 1: not it. Kimberly, you live by yourself and you have
- 54:17Speaker 1: a job, want you deserve a man that lives by himself.
- 54:21Speaker 1: And has a job and also wants to date you.
- 54:23Speaker 1: B doesn't want to. I think that there is something
- 54:25Speaker 1: too jealousy. I can't imagine a world in which I
- 54:29Speaker 1: would want someone who I'm interested in telling me about
- 54:34Speaker 1: their sexploits and romantic things. I wouldn't. I cannot. I
- 54:39Speaker 1: would rather not. It doesn't make me feel good. It's
- 54:41Speaker 1: a waste of my time. If I want to be
- 54:43Speaker 1: with you, then it's a waste of my time for
- 54:45Speaker 1: you to like drown on about other interests than what
- 54:48Speaker 1: is happening here, you know. And so it's very telling
- 54:51Speaker 1: that he doesn't care. Also, the hotel didn't look that nice. Okay,
- 54:55Speaker 1: so let's move on to Gino. Honey, Gino, Gino. I'm
- 55:00Speaker 1: it almost feels like okay, may say this way Gino
- 55:03Speaker 1: says it himself. Gina is like, I need to change
- 55:08Speaker 1: my pr image. I look like a whiny, sad, cheap, disturbed,
- 55:14Speaker 1: you know, sugar daddy, but mad about being a sugar daddy.
- 55:18Speaker 1: And I need to look like a fun hip does
- 55:21Speaker 1: fun things. Is exciting, man, And so the entire episode
- 55:26Speaker 1: is him trying to do that. But the best part
- 55:28Speaker 1: is when he's looking for bread. Okay, so here we start.
- 55:31Speaker 1: He's at a spin class and he's spinning, and you
- 55:34Speaker 1: know he's doing it, Like, for instance, when I first
- 55:38Speaker 1: saw him on the spin bike, I was like, is
- 55:40Speaker 1: he going to even actually have the shoes that clip in?
- 55:45Speaker 1: Or is he going to have sneakers? And then try
- 55:48Speaker 1: and make us think that he actually spins when they're
- 55:51Speaker 1: velcrowing the sneakers, you know, to the petals. He does spin,
- 55:55Speaker 1: he's not bad at it. There's a girl next to
- 55:57Speaker 1: him who obviously production was like, please please sit next
- 56:03Speaker 1: to this man. It's going to look so awkward if
- 56:05Speaker 1: there's like four people in the first row and he's
- 56:08Speaker 1: in the second row and there's no one next to him,
- 56:10Speaker 1: and also, please please sign off so that we can
- 56:13Speaker 1: use you know, your image in this shot. She's like okay,
- 56:16Speaker 1: but the entire time she's looking at the side and
- 56:18Speaker 1: she's looking at the camera. Uh. Gino then is like, hey,
- 56:23Speaker 1: to the instructor, will you help me by taking a
- 56:27Speaker 1: selfie for me? And then he makes the instructor take
- 56:31Speaker 1: what he says is a selfie for him, And I
- 56:33Speaker 1: feel like we all know that a selfie literally means
- 56:36Speaker 1: a picture that you take yourself a selfie is a
- 56:39Speaker 1: picture you take yourself. A selfie isn't a picture just
- 56:42Speaker 1: of you. I don't call like my school pictures selfies,
- 56:46Speaker 1: you know anyway, So then at that point we're like,
- 56:49Speaker 1: oh my god, Gino okay, And they know that that's
- 56:52Speaker 1: why they're saying things like that, that they keep things
- 56:54Speaker 1: like that in so that I talk about it. So
- 56:56Speaker 1: then he goes to like a single event and it's
- 56:59Speaker 1: not a somatic on where he's gonna do, trust falls.
- 57:01Speaker 1: It seems like an adult gymnasium with there's a bunch
- 57:06Speaker 1: of like the kind of adults that like have zoomies.
- 57:09Speaker 1: There's like kickball happening. One guy's playing kickball barefoot. I
- 57:12Speaker 1: have no idea why there's two women who I'm like,
- 57:16Speaker 1: first of all, what is your stories? Are you here
- 57:17Speaker 1: to meet men? Are you fans of the show? Do
- 57:19Speaker 1: you watch the show? Because it's interesting like at this point, yes,
- 57:23Speaker 1: they do watch the show. They know who Gino is,
- 57:25Speaker 1: you know, like they anytime he talks, anytime Gino talks
- 57:29Speaker 1: about Jasmine, I assume they know who Jasmine is. Just
- 57:32Speaker 1: like when Kimberly was at the pitch Sesshon, someone asked
- 57:37Speaker 1: her like oh, Kimberly, would you date my dad? He
- 57:40Speaker 1: lives in New York, like a long distance relationship. And
- 57:42Speaker 1: she's like, well, my last relationship was from Nigeria. And
- 57:46Speaker 1: the way that girl laughed it was obvious that she
- 57:50Speaker 1: was a fan of the show. She's like, you mean
- 57:52Speaker 1: Solgia boy, right, HI know? Maybe, girl says Soljio boy,
- 57:55Speaker 1: I know you really can I know? Okay. So basically
- 57:59Speaker 1: he starts talking to these two women, and these two
- 58:02Speaker 1: women these two men are like, oh hey, like how
- 58:05Speaker 1: are you you know, like what's happening? And he just like, yeah,
- 58:09Speaker 1: you know, I'm just going on a relationship now I'm married. Still, like,
- 58:11Speaker 1: you know, the jazzmin happened. I should have never done
- 58:13Speaker 1: a jazzmine, you know. I brought her back from you know,
- 58:16Speaker 1: Panama and it was really bad. And they're like okay,
- 58:19Speaker 1: and he's like, oh, uh, maybe you should change the subject. Uh.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Instead of being like hey, ladies, like are you excited
- 58:26Speaker 1: to play dodgeball? Or how long have you been coming here?
- 58:31Speaker 1: Or you know, are either of you single, he's just like,
- 58:34Speaker 1: what are you guys looking for in a man? Which
- 58:36Speaker 1: is an awkward thing to say, like first question to
- 58:38Speaker 1: someone I don't even care if you if you like,
- 58:41Speaker 1: even if you're at a speed date, like an actual
- 58:43Speaker 1: speed dating sitting across from someone. If the first thing
- 58:47Speaker 1: that you say to someone is what are you looking
- 58:50Speaker 1: for in a woman? What are you looking for in
- 58:52Speaker 1: a man? That's weird. It's creepy already. Your first questions
- 58:56Speaker 1: be like, hey, how are you good? Yeah? Have you
- 58:59Speaker 1: done one of these things before? Yeah? No, I like
- 59:02Speaker 1: your tie, you you get me. So there's there's just
- 59:06Speaker 1: so many ways of getting in conversations. Are you an
- 59:09Speaker 1: accounting I don't know it's a bad thing, but you know,
- 59:11Speaker 1: like talk about the music that you're into, you know,
- 59:14Speaker 1: talk about get to know someone first, their essence of
- 59:20Speaker 1: who they are before assigning them the role and job
- 59:24Speaker 1: of being a potential suitor for you or like fuck
- 59:29Speaker 1: toy for you. That's where it gets awkward. Oh I'm
- 59:31Speaker 1: not a person. I'm just either an option or not
- 59:33Speaker 1: an option. Weird. So the women though, are like is
- 59:38Speaker 1: he for real? In front of him, and then weirdly
- 59:43Speaker 1: are like did you hear that? And he's like no,
- 59:48Speaker 1: and they're like good, I feel like they wanted him
- 59:51Speaker 1: to hear that, hey, because they didn't want to talk
- 59:53Speaker 1: to him anymore, or they wanted him to know that
- 59:55Speaker 1: he was being weird, or they wanted to be kind
- 59:57Speaker 1: of rude on TV. Like, here's about it. If I'm them,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: let's just pretend I am them, And let's just pretend
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I don't know his whole backstory. Let's just pretend I'm
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: at this weird adult matchmaking kickbox sing Jim and there's cameras,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I've had a sign off my release, and there's a
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: man a Gino saying these things. I mean, I would
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: just assume that he was a very nice gentleman, maybe
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: like neurodivergent or something. I would just never be mean
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to him. I would never be like, is he for real?
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I would just be like, oh, okay, buddy, yeah you're
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: still married. Well, here's the thing. I know. It's it's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: difficult when things end and can take longer, but patience
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: is a virtue. I hope you have fun here though, bye,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and I leave you know, Like that's right? I don't know.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: So after that, he goes grocery shopping, and this is
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: to me, the best part of the entire episode. So
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: he's grocery shopping, okay, and he was wearing glasses like
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: down his nose, like they're reading glasses, and he loves
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: a bargain. He picks up two things a prey go.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: He's like, two for one preg my god, it's usually Ragu.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Usually Ragu is the cheapest one. But I get to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: have preg Go tonight. He's like, women are upset, usually
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: about how cheap I am, but I can't wait to
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: find someone who is happy with my lifestyle. My frugalness
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: is impressed with my ability to spend absolutely nothing because
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I don't think I'm worth anything, whatever it is. And also,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: as we know, Jasmine didn't eat me. So he's like,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I get to eat meat. So then he decides to
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: go to the nice butcher at Foodland, who's wearing a
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: hairnet and who is unfortunately tasked to have a conversation
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: over nothing with Gino for this show. Now here's what's interesting.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Gino's like, where do you have packaged ground beef to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: a butcher? Now, packaged food package ground beef like in
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: a grocery market's almost always in the exact same place.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: But if you know you're gonna get ground beef and
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: they have a butcher, why you wouldn't just go and
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: get like fresh ground beef, except that it's cheaper. That's
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a geno. So he of course is like, wow, where's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: your package ground beef? Because I used to date Jasmine
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and I used to be married to Jazzmine. Any of
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: you know Jazmine. You know one thing about her is
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that she was a vegetarian, also very mean, also very loud,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and so I never got to do anything I didn't want,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: and now I get to do everything I want, which
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: includes sending no money on all the cheap beef I
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: can possibly have. Where's the ground beef? That's what's for
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: dinner every night of the week. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: You're like, oh my god, He's just gonna put that
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: ground beef into the Prego. He's gonna make bowlonnais. He's
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: gonna call his uncle and be like, I'm the best
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Italian chef of the family. We're gonna be like, oh
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: my god, you know, no, Matt. Here's the thing. You
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: know who likes Prego. Jenny, Jenny of Jenny in Simith
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: watched the two for one Prego go into this single
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Life's cart and she was like, oh, yes, Gino, yes
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you know who would appreciate Gino's thriftiness, Jenny. You know
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: who would a pre she ate Jenny's spaghetti, Gino. So
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: just think about that, Just think about it. So then
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: we got you know, him looking at Oscar Minor, Oscar
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: mier Wieners and all the colbases in the meat department.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: He's like, you know, really looking at all of the
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: like salty casings, all the balgonney. And then later on
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: he picks up some white bread and he gives it
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a squish and he goes, you know this is soft.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I mean, it's exactly how I like my women. Soft.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Now we know that's not true because when we met Jasmine,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: she was a gym hardcore goer. She still is like
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a gym hardcore goer. This so, when we first met Jasmine,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: she has like a very fit, thin, muscular but body
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: can't talk. She had built whatever ass. At this point,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: she gets plastic surgery, she gets butt implants, she gets
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: breast in plants. You know, soft as relative, I don't
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: necessarily think those things are soft. So I don't know
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: if like he's ever really had like a soft woman.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: But I don't know what men think soft are. Soft
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: is you know, so funny, like do people does Petro
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: think that Sophie is soft, like a soft She's soft
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: in her demeanor, in her voice, but I don't think
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: her body isn't soft. I'm assuming that when you feel
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: those boobies, they're you know, plastic surgery boobies. I guess
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: soft as relative, right, I'm made of pure down pillows.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: But I also, yeah, I you know, I'm not trying
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to be like Gino's like cup of tea, but you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: know Gino can't wait to like give the camera men gold.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: They were like, go squeeze that bread, say something about
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: the bread. I mean, that's exactly how I like my women.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: And then they're like, go grab Folger's coffee and say
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: something about that. I like my lemon dry in the morning.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: You're like, well, what you know, you just like keep
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: making him do it. We also get like a smiled
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: because you know, I'm obsessed with the tis shot of
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: his cart and we've seen what he's been putting it in.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: But just to really think about the prego the white bread,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: the simply orange juice, the chocolate milk, and what looks
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: like a twelve pack of like sunny Delight gatorade. He's thirsty,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: thirsty man. That was the end of the episode. My loves.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening. Oh my goodness. Let
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: me tell you on the docket traders, I'm gonna do
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a combo episode for the next three episodes, and then
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: on Thursday a new episode drops. As we know because
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: of Super Bowl Sunday, we did not have a before
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: the ninety days. That's coming back. Love is Blind is coming.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: If you guys are interested in that, please let me
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: know because I want to know if you will be
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: interested in some recaps. Goodness, gracious, thank you so much
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: for giving me five stars. Wherever you listen to podcasts
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: like Apple or Spotify, it truly means a lot. At
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the same time, you can follow me. I'm at Chris
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Elfara on social media such like Instagram and TikTok. I
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: have a Patreon Chris Fara, which is where I'm putting
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: the visuals of everything for the podcast before it goes
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: live on YouTube, and maybe it won't even go on
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: like live on YouTube. I'm not quite sure. So if
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you want the visuals first and foremost before anyone else,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: it's Patreon Chris Fara. I also have a sub stack.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Chris Farra Facebook exists. Still there's Chris Farah, like the
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: page there and the private group Vanity Farah. All of
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: that is happening. At the same time, thank you so
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: much for your patience with me as I get everything
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: lined up with this podcast. Also, I'm, like I'm said, moving,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: so it's all been a little slower than I would like.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: At the same time, patients, it's a virtue, like I've said,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: so at the same time, Happy Valentine's Day, No more
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: same times. We're going to breathe together and we're going
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to go on our merry ways. But I've enjoyed hearing
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: the sound of my voice. I certainly hope you have.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I really am thankful that anyone would want to listen
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to me just like shout about this show. But at
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the same time, oh my god, cut that out, Christina.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I'm really excited to talk about single Life because it's
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: sort of new and a new format, and the fact
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: that I got to hang out with people from the
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: show during the holiday party gives me an extra spidy
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: sense to see what's real and what's not and like
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: what could be happening in the future. I feel like
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: a little like science experiment co laboratory assistant. All right,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: my babes, two breaths. Presently we are all together. If
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you're listening to this, for some reason, you decided to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: push play and in time and space, it's hard while
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: we're moving through our lives to find a pocket of mindful,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: present breath. So I think that maybe if you don't mind,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: let this be remind to do it and why not now?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: So just two breaths. One's a rehearsal breath. One is
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: an actual breath. You can use a sound of my voice,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: or your own breath, or the sound of my breath,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: so we can bring ourselves to this present moment. Stop
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: worrying about the future, stop remembering and playing all the
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: awkwardness of the past. None of it's actually going to
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: serve you if you can't also control your mind by
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: being present, because right now is what's real. It's a
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: good reminder, it's a nice grounding mechanism. Let's do it,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: blow it all out, break it in twice. Ah, All right,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: my loves, I can't wait to see what happens when
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: te meets Natalie, who I can't believe is back. I'm
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: really mad about the fact that Natalie's back, because it
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: makes me feel like she didn't learn her lesson that
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: he's disgusting, and also makes me feel like she just
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: wants to be famous, and I don't like people who
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: want to be famous. I want people who or truthful.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: All right, thanks for being truthful with me. And at
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the same time, it's imperative that you take care of
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: yourselves so that you can take care of one another,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: so that you can stand up for what you believe,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: which sometimes happens by making art. I'll talk to you later, babes.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Happy Valentine's Day. Bye,
