- 0:02Speaker 1: What a year. Ray started in January with gold rise shoplifting.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This year, we watched ten thousand jobs go from the
- 0:09Speaker 1: public sector, then the private sector followed suit. We kind
- 0:12Speaker 1: of forget about that. Cash stopped bouncing around the economy.
- 0:15Speaker 1: National blame labor for everything. Labour blamed national. We watched
- 0:19Speaker 1: Scott Robertson fail to be the second Coming. But when
- 0:22Speaker 1: the all Blacks were good, they were very good, positive
- 0:25Speaker 1: about the future. The Treaty Principals Act debate came saw
- 0:29Speaker 1: and divided the Hikoi invader Parliament. Hey but they didn't
- 0:32Speaker 1: set up camp An. Entire newsroom disappeared. Others seemed vulnerable,
- 0:36Speaker 1: So that will be less eyes on the game, whether
- 0:38Speaker 1: you like it or not. Construction crash, power surged and
- 0:41Speaker 1: price mills closed, and towns pondered what are we going
- 0:44Speaker 1: to do next? The snow fell late, a football team
- 0:46Speaker 1: landed on the ground running. We found out that state
- 0:49Speaker 1: care in history in this country is not caring. In fact,
- 0:52Speaker 1: it's a national shame. A war in Ukraine rolled on
- 0:55Speaker 1: a war and Gaza started. A country finally expelled its
- 0:58Speaker 1: dictator Iran bond is Israel bombed Iran. World War three
- 1:02Speaker 1: seem closer than ever. China eyed Taiwan, China eyed the Pacific,
- 1:07Speaker 1: the States eyed China. We were asked to choose sides
- 1:10Speaker 1: more and more. Donald Trump won America. He said, let's
- 1:13Speaker 1: keep it simple and keep America first, and tariffs are
- 1:16Speaker 1: coming back. We will never forget you twenty twenty four.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But frankly, we're all sick of the sight of you.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We were saying the other day. Here we are doing
- 1:26Speaker 1: early edition and breakfast shows right up to Christ's with
- 1:29Speaker 1: meaty issues. What happened to the old days where in
- 1:32Speaker 1: December we all just got a bit, you know, loose
- 1:36Speaker 1: and talked about shorts or jandles for summer, or what
- 1:41Speaker 1: is the best ice cream? And where's the best beat. No,
- 1:43Speaker 1: we've we've been doing big stuff right up to the end.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Twenty twenty four. You delivered, and at the same time
- 1:49Speaker 1: you were paining the bum. And so it's time for
- 1:52Speaker 1: all of us to go to our families, go to
- 1:53Speaker 1: our favorite places, watch another summrise, rest and recuperate, because
- 1:59Speaker 1: in twenty twenty we've got a big job fixing all
