- 0:02Speaker 1: All right, let's see. Now we're gonna follow up on
- 0:08Speaker 1: a story. All right, I do have some breaking news,
- 0:10Speaker 1: breaking geek news. That's good news, But I got a
- 0:13Speaker 1: follow up story first. All right, it was last week
- 0:16Speaker 1: we were telling you about the Avengers Doomsday reveal. Yeah, yeah,
- 0:21Speaker 1: that video with Robert Downey Jr. And the chair and
- 0:24Speaker 1: everybody and everybody. Yeah, five and a half hour video
- 0:31Speaker 1: on YouTube. What livestream? That's how long it took. Just
- 0:35Speaker 1: the chairs, right of just the chairs, And this is
- 0:37Speaker 1: just a few about every fifteen minutes, they'd reveal a
- 0:40Speaker 1: new actor who's going to be in Avengers Doomsday twenty
- 0:48Speaker 1: and we gave you the list last week and you
- 0:50Speaker 1: can look it up. I just wanted to point out
- 0:52Speaker 1: that A Deadline is reporting that it received over two
- 0:57Speaker 1: hundred and seventy five million views over its run time,
- 1:00Speaker 1: three point one million mentions across social media. That trump's
- 1:05Speaker 1: the view records the studio previously established for a Deadpool
- 1:08Speaker 1: and Wolverine trailer. Twenty four hours after it dropped, we
- 1:12Speaker 1: were all making jokes about the chairs and everything, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: it remained the number two trending stream on YouTube. So
- 1:20Speaker 1: everyone who says that Marvel is dead and their superhero fatigue.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I'd just like to show you these numbers. Go ahead.
- 1:28Speaker 2: People are saying that, aren't they. They do say.
- 1:30Speaker 3: That that it's lost its luster somehow, Well apparently not.
- 1:34Speaker 4: We need to get some real stars in there, like
- 1:36Speaker 4: John Voight.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Breaking good news.
- 1:41Speaker 1: As you know, David Zaslav at Warner Brothers has declared
- 1:44Speaker 1: war on Looney Tunes. Yeah, he's like left and right.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I mean you can't find them on Max. You know,
- 1:50Speaker 1: your classic Looney Tunes. There's a few there. They did
- 1:54Speaker 1: not want to distribute The Day the Earth Blew Up,
- 1:57Speaker 1: which is in theaters now, so a group called Ketchup
- 2:00Speaker 1: Entertainment bought the rights and put it in theaters. So
- 2:04Speaker 1: they make basically, they bought the movie from Warner Brothers
- 2:07Speaker 1: and they handle a distribution and take all the money.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Now back to Coyote versus Acme.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Oh, the live action.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's a live action and animated film. Great premise where
- 2:21Speaker 1: the Coyote decides to sue Actme for all of their
- 2:25Speaker 1: defective products is based on an Esquire short story. It
- 2:30Speaker 1: was a very brilliant idea.
- 2:32Speaker 3: They made the movie. Warner Brothers decided they weren't going
- 2:35Speaker 3: to release it.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Yeah, big controversy about a year and a half, two
- 2:38Speaker 4: years ago.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Well now Ketchup Entertainment has announced they have completed the
- 2:43Speaker 1: deal for Coyote Versus Acme to be on the big screen.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Oh so.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Gareth West, CEO of Ketchup Entertainment, said, we're thrilled to
- 2:51Speaker 1: have made a deal with Warner Brothers to bring the
- 2:54Speaker 1: film to audiences worldwide. Coyote Versus Acme perfect blend of
- 2:58Speaker 1: nostalgia and modern storytelling, So that means we're probably going
- 3:02Speaker 1: to be able to see it.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Now here's hoping it's good.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Would I would bet this movie is going to make
- 3:08Speaker 4: more money than originally was just because of the hype.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah around it.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Let me ask this, So if it's good and it
- 3:14Speaker 2: makes a lot of money, and this is the who
- 3:20Speaker 2: what Warner Brothers is going to lose their job over this?
- 3:23Speaker 3: I hope David Zaslav. Yeah, I hope it's him because.
- 3:27Speaker 1: He's the one who's he's ruining all of their ip
- 3:32Speaker 1: He's just all he understands his reality shows that second
- 3:36Speaker 1: show to get second movie, excuse me, to get canned
- 3:39Speaker 1: after Catwoman.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right, well.
- 3:42Speaker 1: They completely deleted Batgirl. They didn't even bother to try
- 3:46Speaker 1: to sell it or anything like that. They just deleted
- 3:48Speaker 1: and took the tax right off.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Disgusting.
- 3:50Speaker 1: But this is I think a fifty million dollar deal,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and so Warner Brothers is getting their fifty mil and
- 3:55Speaker 1: then Ketchup will get whatever's left over from this. Now
- 3:59Speaker 1: that's the good newsons Land. The bad news is is
- 4:03Speaker 1: that the legendary Termite Terrace, as it's called Building one
- 4:08Speaker 1: thirty one, is that where animators work, where the animators
- 4:12Speaker 1: that did the original classic Looney Tunes worked, is being
- 4:15Speaker 1: torn down again. David's aslov He's got no respect for
- 4:20Speaker 1: history or anything like that. They're just gonna tear it down.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Building one thirty one being discarded despite its significance to
- 4:27Speaker 1: animation history. It is where Chuck Jones did his last
- 4:34Speaker 1: short from Hair to Eternity in Looney Tune's history, you
- 4:38Speaker 1: know the Bugs Bunny Show, for his freeling era of
- 4:41Speaker 1: Looney Tuns cartoons. That's where they made those cartoons. And
- 4:45Speaker 1: they yeah, scoot.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Tear it down, tear down the building, all right, right,
- 4:51Speaker 3: let's see you like Scooby Doo.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah no, not in the slight of statuely well, the
- 4:59Speaker 2: Scooby Game will be taking on a new era.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Scooby Doo live action series on Netflix, eight episodes, Greg
- 5:10Speaker 1: Borlanti Productions rebooting the Hanna Barbara cartoon.
- 5:14Speaker 3: But it's live action, all right.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Oh, Scooby Doo movies from the two thousands were good.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Well, James Gunn wrote one of them.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and so what this is it's going to be
- 5:26Speaker 1: a reimagining of the whole thing live action. During their
- 5:29Speaker 1: final summer at Camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get
- 5:33Speaker 1: embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great
- 5:37Speaker 1: Dane puppy. Oh yeah, that may have been a witness
- 5:42Speaker 1: to a supernatural murder. So then they, together with the
- 5:45Speaker 1: pragmatic and scientific tounty Velma and the strange but ever
- 5:49Speaker 1: so handsome new kid Fred, set out to solve the
- 5:52Speaker 1: case Scooby.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Scooby is a witness to a murder.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And he's a puppy. We're assuming that's Scooby. Well, he's
- 5:59Speaker 3: a great day.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Yeah, probably all right, Saw eleven, I'm not embarrassed to
- 6:10Speaker 1: say I enjoy the Saw movies.
- 6:12Speaker 3: There fun, you've seen all of them.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I've seen most of them, but they were planning on
- 6:17Speaker 1: Saw eleven and then there was some problems and all
- 6:21Speaker 1: of that. Well, on the social media from Billy the
- 6:23Speaker 1: Puppet from the Saw movies, yeah, he posted, I've seen
- 6:29Speaker 1: the rumors. They say it's game over. You should know me.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Better than that. The game is never over.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Basically what Billy is saying, as long as there's money
- 6:38Speaker 1: to be made, we'll find a way to make surest
- 6:40Speaker 1: damn movies. And so, yeah, there's a Billy the Puppet update.
- 6:46Speaker 1: They will be going forward.
- 6:47Speaker 3: The Legend of Zelda.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Live action movie has been kicked around Hollywood here for
- 6:53Speaker 1: a while.
- 6:53Speaker 3: They finally got a director. Remind me, that's a video game, right,
- 6:57Speaker 3: dio game.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yes, Wes Ball, who did Kingdom of the Planet of
- 7:01Speaker 1: the Apes. Of course, he says, we've we finally got
- 7:05Speaker 1: it figured out. We're working with We're working with Nintendo
- 7:09Speaker 1: and Sony to make the movie. He says, we have
- 7:12Speaker 1: now officially started the development of the film. It will
- 7:17Speaker 1: take time for it to be completed, but I hope
- 7:19Speaker 1: you look forward to seeing it.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Honestly, I'm surprised it's taking this long to get a
- 7:22Speaker 4: Legend of Zelda.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Apparently Nintendo has been very controlling yeah about the whole thing,
- 7:29Speaker 1: so I guess he sat down with him.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And worked it out.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I'm surprised I'm more controlling with Zelda than Mario.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Well, I think they.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Saw the Mario money come in and went, oh, oh
- 7:37Speaker 1: that's what it is, Okay, all right, and then finally this.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I'm surprised Bill Frost didn't talk about this. Common side
- 7:44Speaker 1: Effects That animated series on Adult Swim from Mike Judge
- 7:47Speaker 1: and Greg Daniels.
- 7:48Speaker 4: You need to watch that.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I've started watching it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I was I was watching it thinking I would be
- 7:54Speaker 1: much more into this if it was live action.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Really because it's good huh.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But if it were live of action and there were
- 8:00Speaker 1: some steaks, I would be like, hmmm, I'd be interested.
- 8:03Speaker 4: But the animation style is really interesting.
- 8:05Speaker 3: So what's it about.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's about a mysterious mushroom with healing properties, so sure
- 8:10Speaker 1: or just about anything, and so Big Farm is trying
- 8:14Speaker 1: to destroy it. But it's getting season two, so catch
- 8:19Speaker 1: up on it so you can see season
- 8:26Speaker 3: Are you go
