Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys, let's do stacks and hacks.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Yeah, let's.
- 0:02Speaker 3: I have stacks of information. Rich has life hacks. Are
- 0:07Speaker 3: you stressed about being single? It was asked of a
- 0:09Speaker 3: bunch of people, single people. A new study found that
- 0:12Speaker 3: people who remain unmarried and unpartnered report high levels of
- 0:18Speaker 3: contentment with their lives overall.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Yeah. You don't have that extra stress of like... No
- 0:25Speaker 4: one checking in on you, picking whatever you want to
- 0:28Speaker 4: eat for dinner. Yeah, I feel like there's definitely that
- 0:31Speaker 4: age that you kind of get over it.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Like I have a couple of friends.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Who are single right now and I want to say
- 0:35Speaker 4: like mid 20s, they were really trying to find their man,
- 0:39Speaker 4: get that picket fence, you know, that baby, that family.
- 0:42Speaker 4: And now we're late 20s and they're like, yeah, maybe,
- 0:46Speaker 4: maybe I'll entertain you.
- 0:47Speaker 2: You get set in your own ways and that's kind
- 0:49Speaker 2: of a good thing.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But then you like really want to be alone forever.
- 0:52Speaker 1: That's the only thing.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 0:53Speaker 4: Maybe you do. Maybe you do.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Airbnb is cracking down on hosts, forcing guests to complete
- 0:58Speaker 3: elaborate cleanup checklists before leaving, on top of paying a
- 1:02Speaker 3: cleaning fee. They're specifically mixing stuff that takes significant effort
- 1:04Speaker 3: and time. I agree with this.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I remember once when I had an Airbnb. The trick
- 1:08Speaker 1: was sometimes insane. It was like we had to do
- 1:10Speaker 1: all these things. And I was like, what the hell?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Strip the sheets. Do every dish. Wipe down. Forget it.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It gets out of control because you're already paying $ 150
- 1:17Speaker 4: cleaning fees.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:18Speaker 4: And if you're going to do that, make sure that
- 1:20Speaker 4: the house that you're going into is in the same
- 1:22Speaker 4: condition that it should be expected. I literally was talking
- 1:25Speaker 4: to Kadeem's stepmom the other day. She showed me pictures
- 1:27Speaker 4: of her Airbnb kitchen. I wouldn't have stayed there. It
- 1:30Speaker 4: was disgusting. And they were paying like 600 bucks a night.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Half of Americans say that their home, when they come
- 1:38Speaker 3: home from vacation, they're completely wiped out. So for 2027,
- 1:42Speaker 3: the top travel tent is called Quiet Questing, where the
- 1:45Speaker 3: trip is focused on peace, unplugging and escaping your obligations.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Well, that sounds amazing.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Quiet Questing. Group of teen boys dined and dashed on
- 1:53Speaker 1: a $ 300 tab.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Oh, no. Unfortunately for them, one of them left their
- 1:57Speaker 3: cell phone behind.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Story doesn't end there.
- 2:00Speaker 3: The kid's mom went to retrieve the phone and got
- 2:03Speaker 3: mad at the server because they were asking her to
- 2:05Speaker 3: pay the bill.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And she was like, she did eventually, but she was like,
- 2:08Speaker 1: just chill out, they're boys. It's $ 300, lady. You can't
- 2:12Speaker 1: just get away with something because they're just boys.
- 2:14Speaker 3: A Penn State study says that four minutes of strength
- 2:17Speaker 3: training daily, four minutes, can significantly improve mobility and physical
- 2:22Speaker 3: function in older adults.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's important. You guys know who Warren Buffett is? Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 2: He's one of the richest guys in the world.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Well, one of, yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Well, he used to be the richest, right?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Until like Elon Musk and everyone. He's one of the
- 2:32Speaker 1: first billionaires, but he definitely is up there. He's a billionaire.
- 2:35Speaker 3: He's 96 years old. And every day he drinks five
- 2:39Speaker 3: cans of Coke every day. In 2023, he said, I
- 2:42Speaker 3: think happiness makes an enormous amount of difference in terms
- 2:44Speaker 3: of longevity. And I'm happier when I'm drinking my Coke
- 2:47Speaker 3: or eating hot fudge sundaes or hot dogs.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He's 96. He's doing something, right?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Then I saw this thing on Instagram that pissed me off.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And if anyone has it, can you send it to me?
- 2:56Speaker 3: Because I didn't save it. But generally, it shows all
- 2:59Speaker 3: these people that invented certain things. And when they died,
- 3:01Speaker 3: like the guy that invented the treadmill died at 54
- 3:05Speaker 3: years old.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Meanwhile, freaking Colonel Sanders died at 96.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah. The guy that invented some sort of running shoe
- 3:12Speaker 3: died at 40.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The guy that invented bourbon died at 99. He might
- 3:16Speaker 1: be on to something.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It turns out you got to retox a little too.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Not just detox, retox. Uh, hold on. I saw on cars.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I thought this was really interesting. The top cars for
- 3:29Speaker 1: every generation.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Like paying your Gen Z. What's a favorite car of yours?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Uh, G-Wagon?
- 3:34Speaker 1: No, a functional one.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I know, I know.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I was like, what, your dream car? No, no, no, no, no.
- 3:38Speaker 1: A car that you drive that you love.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Oh, uh, probably like a, like a durable, like a
- 3:43Speaker 4: nice Toyota. Like a Corolla, which is what I drive.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Toyota Camry's up at the top. Nissan Altima, Honda Accord,
- 3:49Speaker 3: Honda Civic. Peyton or Kyle, you're a millennial.
- 3:51Speaker 1: What about you?
- 3:52Speaker 4: I like my Tesla.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Tesla, that's not in there. Not in there. Not in
- 3:56Speaker 1: the top five.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Come on. You got Honda Civic, Ford F-Series, Nissan Altima,
- 4:01Speaker 3: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Rich, you're Gen X. What do you got?
- 4:04Speaker 2: What about a Ford Raptor, John?
- 4:06Speaker 1: A Ford F-Series is number one. Yeah, come on.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 2: It ticks all the boxes, you know?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Honda Accord is up there. And I had a Honda.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I loved Hondas. I love my Honda. Anyway, Rich, what
- 4:18Speaker 1: do you got for life hacks?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Kyle, this is especially for you since you are known
- 4:23Speaker 2: to be rough on houseplants staying alive.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Am I right? Am I right?
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so sad.
- 4:28Speaker 2: So I don't know if you've heard that playing music
- 4:31Speaker 2: for your plants actually helps them live longer. So scientists
- 4:35Speaker 2: went to the mat on this and they're like, okay, well,
- 4:37Speaker 2: what kind of music? First of all, does it work?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yes, it does.
- 4:41Speaker 2: What kind of music? There's two types of music that
- 4:44Speaker 2: plants seem to really like.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And that is music.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Classical music, which I don't think you're a huge fan of.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I like classical music. Okay, well, that's good. I just
- 4:51Speaker 1: don't really partake in it that often.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And I think John Jay's wife is a big fan
- 4:55Speaker 2: of Yacht Rock. Yacht Rock finished number two for plants.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Wow, that's wild.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So plants like to go, Saley.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Takes me away. They love that.
- 5:02Speaker 2: So remember, sunlight, water, and some Christopher Cross. Get it done.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Or some boat start, I guess. That's your life hack.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That can be found at johnjainrich.com. You know, speaking of music,
- 5:11Speaker 2: do you know this?
- 5:12Speaker 3: Think about all the country music artists that you've heard
- 5:15Speaker 3: of your entire life.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You know who the highest selling country artist is of
- 5:19Speaker 1: all time?
- 5:20Speaker 3: Garth Brooks.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Garth Brooks is number two. Tim McGraw is number nine.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Dolly Parton.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Shania Twain.
- 5:26Speaker 3: No, I don't think there's a woman in this list.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Oh, that's a shame. Number 10 is Carrie Underwood. I
- 5:32Speaker 1: was going to say. Okay, Taylor Swift? No, no, no.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Oh, so it's not Tim McGraw and it's not Garth Brooks.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It's got to be like Clint Black or something. Who'd
- 5:41Speaker 1: you say, Kyle?
- 5:42Speaker 4: Clint Black?
- 5:42Speaker 1: No. Johnny Cash?
- 5:44Speaker 2: No.
- 5:45Speaker 1: All right, Chris Stapleton's number eight. Kenny Chesty is number seven. Okay.
- 5:49Speaker 1: George Strait is number six. Bad tracks. Zach Bryan is
- 5:52Speaker 1: number five. Luke Bryan, his brother, is number four. They're brothers.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Luke Combs, their third brother, is number three. Garth Brooks
- 6:01Speaker 1: is number two.
- 6:01Speaker 3: The number one highest selling country artist of all time,
- 6:05Speaker 3: which blew me away because, I mean, he's fairly, he
- 6:07Speaker 3: was discovered on TV, is Morgan Wallen.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. He did like what?
- 6:13Speaker 4: Like American Idol, right?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Way to go, Morgan.
- 6:15Speaker 3: He was on one of those shows, American Idol, America's
- 6:17Speaker 3: Got Talent, The Voice, and he didn't win. And, and, uh,
- 6:20Speaker 3: but to know that he sells out arenas, but the
- 6:22Speaker 3: thing is you have him compared like Garth Brooks, who's
- 6:24Speaker 3: been doing it for 30 years.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And this guy's been doing it for less than five, 10. Anyway,
- 6:27Speaker 1: very interesting.
