Days are getting shorter, and soon you’ll be saying goodbye to those magical 7 p.m. sunsets — unless something big changes. The Sunshine Protection Act, already passed by the House and backed by the President, could make daylight saving time permanent, meaning we might skip the dreaded “fall back” in November. If it passes, cities like Austin could see 7 p.m. sunsets as early as late January — months ahead of schedule.
