Dentist Charged in Child’s Death | Texas News
A Fort Worth dentist, Chrishelle Hemphill, is facing charges after allegedly causing the death of four-year-old Aithana Arriaga during a dental procedure in April. Investigators say Hemphill administered a toxic dose of meperidine, failed to respond to the child’s respiratory distress, and even used an AED unnecessarily when the child still had a pulse. A search of the office revealed syringes with reused medication — a dangerous breach of safety. Hemphill’s license is suspended, she’s been released on bond, and the investigation continues.
