Federal Judge Dismantles Ghislaine Maxwell’s Challenge to Her Conviction (8/26/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:07
Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:10
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Yesterday, Judge Paul Engelmeyer absolutely devastated Ghislaine Maxwell
• 0:18
Speaker 1: and her attempt to get her sentence overturned. And when
• 0:22
Speaker 1: I tell you that he decimated her in this ruling,
• 0:26
Speaker 1: I'm not kidding around. And he basically told Ghislaine Maxwell
• 0:30
Speaker 1: that the party's over. There's no more appeals, there's nowhere
• 0:33
Speaker 1: else to go, and anything that she files from here
• 0:36
Speaker 1: on out is going to be considered frivolous. And we
• 0:39
Speaker 1: have the actual opinion from Judge Engelmeyer, and we're going
• 0:43
Speaker 1: to get to that as well. But first, we have
• 0:45
Speaker 1: an article from ABC News talking about the situation. Headline,
• 0:50
Speaker 1: Judge rejects Ghislaine Maxwell's frivolous attempt to overturn conviction. This
• 0:55
Speaker 1: article was authored by Aaron Katursky and James Hill. A
• 0:59
Speaker 1: federal judge in New York on Tuesday rejected Ghislaine Maxwell's
• 1:03
Speaker 1: challenge to her conviction, finding her claims meritless or frivolous. Well,
• 1:07
Speaker 1: what do you know? I mean, it's almost as if
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell's bitch ass is guilty, huh? And what's crazy
• 1:13
Speaker 1: is that normal people don't get this many chances to
• 1:15
Speaker 1: appeal their sentence, right? I mean, either you don't have
• 1:19
Speaker 1: the money or you run out of road, whatever it
• 1:21
Speaker 1: might be. Yet we have Glenn Maxwell here on her
• 1:24
Speaker 1: like 35th attempt to get this conviction overturned. And I
• 1:29
Speaker 1: just find the whole entire thing to be ridiculous. Maxwell
• 1:32
Speaker 1: was trying to vacate her conviction and 20-year prison sentence.
• 1:36
Speaker 1: Maxwell was convicted of five felony counts, all arising from
• 1:40
Speaker 1: her participation with Jeffrey Epstein in the sexual abuse of
• 1:44
Speaker 1: young girls over the course of a decade. A federal
• 1:47
Speaker 1: appeals court upheld her conviction and the U.S. Supreme Court
• 1:50
Speaker 1: declined to take up her petition. And at that point,
• 1:54
Speaker 1: you would think that Ghislaine Maxwell would understand that it's
• 1:56
Speaker 1: not going to happen for her. The Supreme Court told
• 1:59
Speaker 1: you to get stuffed. But when you have her kind
• 2:02
Speaker 1: of money and her kind of narcissism, She truly can't
• 2:06
Speaker 1: fathom why she's in the position that she's in. Remember,
• 2:10
Speaker 1: this is a woman with no remorse and no empathy
• 2:14
Speaker 1: for the people who were actually harmed. She sees herself
• 2:17
Speaker 1: as a victim. In her perverse world, she's a victim too.
• 2:22
Speaker 1: And that's why you see her playing the victim in
• 2:25
Speaker 1: all of these different appeals. Oh, I was wrong. I
• 2:27
Speaker 1: had no idea what was going on. Yes, you did.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: Not only did you have an idea what was going on,
• 2:33
Speaker 1: you were taking part. In court filings, Maxwell argued, documents
• 2:38
Speaker 1: released in the Epstein files supported her claims of constitutional violations.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: But U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmeyer said her claims were
• 2:46
Speaker 1: all meritless and all, or almost all, were meritless and frivolous. Well, look,
• 2:54
Speaker 1: you don't have to be some kind of constitutional scholar
• 2:57
Speaker 1: to know that Ghislaine Maxwell was bullshitting around. This woman
• 3:01
Speaker 1: had no leg to stand on, no tenable ground to defend,
• 3:05
Speaker 1: And if you think that the Epstein files exonerate Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 3:10
Speaker 1: then you, my friend, are probably smoking toad venom. Because
• 3:15
Speaker 1: it does the opposite. What we see in those files
• 3:19
Speaker 1: confirms everything that we've known about this woman for all
• 3:22
Speaker 1: these years. And imagine being so tone deaf, so absolutely moronic,
• 3:29
Speaker 1: that you think you're going to use those files to
• 3:30
Speaker 1: get you out of the position you're in, considering what
• 3:34
Speaker 1: you've done. And considering the evidence we have to back
• 3:37
Speaker 1: that up? And the purported new evidence to which Maxwell points,
• 3:43
Speaker 1: principally materials released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, is
• 3:47
Speaker 1: largely irrelevant to the charges against Maxwell and does not
• 3:50
Speaker 1: support her claims of error, the judge wrote. On the contrary,
• 3:54
Speaker 1: to the extent it is relevant, far from exculpating her,
• 3:59
Speaker 1: it incriminates her or reinforces the correctness of the legal
• 4:02
Speaker 1: rulings Maxwell challenges. One hundred percent. Every single thing that
• 4:07
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell was yapping about is a lie. Everything she's
• 4:12
Speaker 1: up to is a lie or based on a lie.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: And every last thing that she told Todd Blanche when
• 4:18
Speaker 1: they had their little fireside chat was self-serving and a lie.
• 4:23
Speaker 1: And there's still people out there who think that Ghislaine
• 4:27
Speaker 1: Maxwell got a raw deal. Oh, it was such a
• 4:30
Speaker 1: large trafficking network. Why is Ghislaine Maxwell the only one
• 4:33
Speaker 1: in jail? Well, because she's the only one they investigated, stupid.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: Is it fun being a Muppet? Do you have a
• 4:41
Speaker 1: good time being so stupid? If they would have investigated
• 4:46
Speaker 1: this case the way they should have, the way they
• 4:48
Speaker 1: would have investigated you, well, it would have been a
• 4:52
Speaker 1: whole ass different story. Associates of Maxwell did not immediately
• 4:58
Speaker 1: respond to a request for comment on the judge's ruling. well,
• 5:02
Speaker 1: you can expect them to have a whole bunch to
• 5:04
Speaker 1: say at some point, especially her brother. And I'm sure
• 5:08
Speaker 1: that that lawyer of hers, David Marcus, will have a
• 5:11
Speaker 1: pearl of wisdom or two to share with us as well. Because,
• 5:14
Speaker 1: you know, everybody wants to hear from Team Maxwell. In
• 5:18
Speaker 1: his 67-page ruling, Engelmeyer rejected each of what he called
• 5:22
Speaker 1: the ten principal claims that Maxwell raised in what he
• 5:25
Speaker 1: referred to as her lengthy and meandering pro se petition
• 5:29
Speaker 1: and supplemental filings containing similarly discursive addenda. Engelmeyer denied her
• 5:35
Speaker 1: petition without the evidentiary hearing that Maxwell sought. So she
• 5:39
Speaker 1: wanted to present more evidence to the court and Judge
• 5:42
Speaker 1: Engelmeyer basically told her in this ruling that we're not
• 5:47
Speaker 1: having that. You're not doing that. We don't need to
• 5:49
Speaker 1: hear from you. The court doesn't need to see whatever
• 5:52
Speaker 1: evidence you say you have because we've seen the evidence
• 5:55
Speaker 1: already and you're not getting out. That's what Judge Engelmeyer
• 6:00
Speaker 1: told her. And he had a 67-page ruling discussing why
• 6:05
Speaker 1: he told her that. So we're definitely diving into that,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: believe it. Because I think that Judge Engelmeyer's on point
• 6:11
Speaker 1: with all of the things he was talking about in
• 6:14
Speaker 1: regard to Maxwell and why she shouldn't be leaving jail
• 6:17
Speaker 1: or prison. I think that he's on point. Maxwell had
• 6:23
Speaker 1: argued in an amended petition filed in April that documents
• 6:26
Speaker 1: released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act had exposed constitutional
• 6:31
Speaker 1: issues and legal violations that rendered her 2021 conviction invalid, unsafe,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: and infirm. The only thing that's invalid, unsafe, and infirm
• 6:41
Speaker 1: is your narrative. Well, and little girls around you. But
• 6:47
Speaker 1: save the nonsense. Invalid, unsafe, infirm. Enjoy your time eating Chick-fil-A,
• 6:53
Speaker 1: playing with puppies, and ruling the roost down in Texas.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: Because if we had a serious administration, if we had
• 6:59
Speaker 1: serious people in charge... you would be underneath a prison somewhere.
• 7:03
Speaker 1: She cited DOJ documents from the Epstein files that she
• 7:07
Speaker 1: contended offered new support to her arguments that the government
• 7:11
Speaker 1: withheld relevant evidence, that witnesses testified falsely, and that attorneys
• 7:16
Speaker 1: for Epstein's victims acted as de facto prosecutors in her
• 7:20
Speaker 1: criminal case. Oh yeah, that's exactly what happened, Ghislaine. You
• 7:26
Speaker 1: know how Ghislaine Maxwell ended up behind bars? Well, A,
• 7:29
Speaker 1: because she's not as smart as she thinks she is,
• 7:31
Speaker 1: And B, well, her gross ass was guilty. You add
• 7:38
Speaker 1: that up, you find yourself behind bars. Maxwell's petition falls
• 7:44
Speaker 1: very far from the mark, Engelmeyer wrote, describing her claims
• 7:48
Speaker 1: as demonstrably meritless and based on speculation, distortion, and or
• 7:52
Speaker 1: outright falsehoods. The judge also rebuked Maxwell's contention that federal
• 7:57
Speaker 1: prosecutors selectively targeted her as a substitute for Epstein, after
• 8:02
Speaker 1: he died by suicide, allegedly, while in federal custody in 2019.
• 8:07
Speaker 1: And that's the narrative that these despicable fucks run with. Oh, well,
• 8:12
Speaker 1: only Ghislaine was prosecuted. Only she was indicted. It's so dumb.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: And you have to be honestly stupid to believe that. Like,
• 8:22
Speaker 1: there's no way around that. And there's no nice way
• 8:24
Speaker 1: to put it. If that's what you believe, congratulations. You're
• 8:29
Speaker 1: dumb as shit. As the trial showed, the case against
• 8:33
Speaker 1: Maxwell was based on abundant, admissible evidence establishing her knowing
• 8:37
Speaker 1: participation in enabling a notorious child sex abuser to carry
• 8:41
Speaker 1: out historically heinous crimes, Engelmeyer wrote. Far from being discriminatory
• 8:47
Speaker 1: or unjust, this was the epitome of a virtuous prosecution.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: The government and the jury justly held Maxwell accountable for
• 8:55
Speaker 1: gravely serious federal offenses. But that won't put it to
• 8:59
Speaker 1: bed either. Because I guess Judge Engelmeyer is in on it, right?
• 9:04
Speaker 1: Everybody's in on it. Meanwhile, the people that are really
• 9:08
Speaker 1: in on it, well, CIA, DOJ, BOP, and the administration.
• 9:15
Speaker 1: Not these judges. Now, do I agree with all the
• 9:17
Speaker 1: rulings that we get from these judges? Of course not.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: But when it comes to this ruling, when it comes
• 9:23
Speaker 1: to Maxwell's situation, we shouldn't even be having the conversation.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: Never mind her being on the cusp, or was on
• 9:32
Speaker 1: the cusp, of maybe getting her conviction overturned. That shouldn't
• 9:36
Speaker 1: even be a conversation, and that's because the evidence was apparent.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: But in his ruling Tuesday, Engelmeyer wrote that Maxwell had
• 9:44
Speaker 1: not made substantial showing of a denial of a constitutional right,
• 9:48
Speaker 1: and appellate review is therefore not warranted. Any appeal from
• 9:52
Speaker 1: this order would not be taken in good faith, Engelmeyer wrote,
• 9:56
Speaker 1: determining that Maxwell would not be granted Indigency. known as
• 10:00
Speaker 1: informa pauperis, to pursue the appeal without the typical court costs.
• 10:05
Speaker 1: If her habeas claim fails, Maxwell's remaining option would likely
• 10:09
Speaker 1: be limited to a request to President Donald Trump for
• 10:12
Speaker 1: a pardon of clemency. Well, she's definitely not getting out
• 10:17
Speaker 1: by the court. Nobody's overturning this, like I told you
• 10:20
Speaker 1: from the beginning. There's too much evidence. There was no
• 10:24
Speaker 1: witch hunt here. Ghislaine Maxwell wasn't unfairly prosecuted or targeted.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: As the judge says, it was a righteous prosecution. And
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: I truly believe that. And I don't think there's a
• 10:38
Speaker 1: court in this country that's going to let Ghislaine Maxwell
• 10:41
Speaker 1: walk out of that jail. So her only hope, obviously,
• 10:45
Speaker 1: is Donald Trump. And I wish I could tell you
• 10:48
Speaker 1: that I have faith that he's not going to pardon her.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: But I don't have that faith. I have zero faith
• 10:54
Speaker 1: in this administration when it comes to anything to do
• 10:57
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein. So we'll see what happens. But as
• 11:01
Speaker 1: of now, Glenn Maxwell will remain behind bars. And in
• 11:05
Speaker 1: my opinion, that's exactly where she belongs. All the information
• 11:10
