- 0:00Speaker 1: Do you have a storage unit that you've been holding
- 0:02Speaker 1: onto for months, if not years? Do you tell yourself
- 0:05Speaker 1: that this will be the month you finally go close
- 0:07Speaker 1: it down after that rent payment clears, but it's still
- 0:10Speaker 1: there month after month? This is Trey from the Treehouse Show,

- 1:03Speaker 2: I'm Dan O'Malley along with Trey Trenholm. Coming up inside
- 1:07Speaker 2: the treehouse today is a doozy. Taped on a plane.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Would you die for a bigger? A very important question
- 1:19Speaker 2: that we now have to ask. And am I the
- 1:25Speaker 2: a-hole for blocking a driver's door? That is all coming
- 1:29Speaker 2: up here inside the Treehouse Show today. And if you
- 1:32Speaker 2: love what you hear here today, do us a solid.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Hit that share button from your favorite listening platform. Send
- 1:39Speaker 2: it to a friend. Send it to a family member.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Maybe not mama. And also share it on social media.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And together we can grow this little treehouse show. Am
- 1:49Speaker 2: I the a-hole for blocking a driver's door? I love
- 1:56Speaker 2: a good parking drama. I think mainly because I have
- 2:00Speaker 2: seen it. I've seen it so many times in my
- 2:03Speaker 2: life and it drives me absolutely crazy because there's deeper
- 2:08Speaker 2: seated issues I have here with this. It's not just, oh,
- 2:11Speaker 2: that person parked like an a-hole. I think that's how
- 2:14Speaker 2: a lot of people see it and then they move on. I, however,
- 2:17Speaker 2: look deeper because I have deeper seated issues. I see
- 2:21Speaker 2: someone parking like an a-hole and I think, how dare
- 2:24Speaker 2: they do that? How dare they inflict their will upon
- 2:28Speaker 2: others that have done nothing to justify receiving it? How
- 2:33Speaker 2: dare they do that and get away with it without
- 2:35Speaker 2: any sort of consequences? This is not right. Now, it's
- 2:41Speaker 2: not like I'm picketing and things like that and burning
- 2:45Speaker 2: down their house or anything, but still, it really gets
- 2:48Speaker 2: under my skin.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Well, so I too have very strong feelings about this.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And because you're being a selfish a-hole when you park
- 3:02Speaker 1: poorly and there is generally a residual effect that keeps going.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's not just that you have inconvenience one person, then
- 3:13Speaker 1: that person typically has to park badly. And then it's
- 3:16Speaker 1: a chain reaction. And when like you're in a bar,
- 3:21Speaker 1: a bar, and typically bars have limited parking when you
- 3:24Speaker 1: do that, you are literally costing the place money just
- 3:30Speaker 1: because you are a lazy, self-centered prick and you can't
- 3:35Speaker 1: take enough time to back in and line up and
- 3:38Speaker 1: park correctly.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And everything you just said nails it because the individual
- 3:45Speaker 2: that parks that way is inconsiderate and doesn't think about
- 3:48Speaker 2: the effects on others. And you took it all the
- 3:51Speaker 2: way down the line, like in front of a business,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and how it can affect an actual business. And that
- 3:55Speaker 2: person's not even thinking about the person next to them,
- 3:58Speaker 2: let alone the impact it may actually have on the
- 4:01Speaker 2: economic community around them. But it does. And these are
- 4:05Speaker 2: the things that keep me up at night. Not necessarily
- 4:07Speaker 2: that someone parked wrong and is an a-hole, but because
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'll think about things just like, God, it's amazing how
- 4:14Speaker 2: just truly shitty some people are in this world. And
- 4:22Speaker 2: I know we haven't even gotten into the context of
- 4:24Speaker 2: this story. And obviously you and I are on the
- 4:26Speaker 2: same page. Although what you may have done and what
- 4:32Speaker 2: I may have done may vary greatly. I don't know.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You might, Trey, be the guy that's like, you know what?
- 4:38Speaker 2: I will go bird down their house. So am I
- 4:42Speaker 2: in the wrong for blocking a driver's side door with
- 4:45Speaker 2: my car? This guy says, I'm actually feeling like a
- 4:48Speaker 2: bag of shite now and need an outside opinion. Today,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I was struggling to find parking in a busy shopping center.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I drove down one lane of parking spaces, not realizing
- 4:58Speaker 2: there would be no room to turn around, and it
- 5:01Speaker 2: was just a dead end. There was one vacant spot
- 5:04Speaker 2: at the very end that had an SUV parked not on,
- 5:08Speaker 2: but over the line, making it close to impossible for
- 5:11Speaker 2: anyone else to park there. The SUV was hogging two
- 5:14Speaker 2: spaces due to poor parking. I won't lie, I was
- 5:19Speaker 2: feeling petty. I was flustered because the only way for
- 5:22Speaker 2: me to even get out was to pull into the
- 5:24Speaker 2: empty spot and reverse out. But once I pulled in,
- 5:26Speaker 2: I realized I fit by a few millimeters without touching
- 5:30Speaker 2: the other car. I even glanced inside to see how
- 5:33Speaker 2: much of a pain it would be for the driver
- 5:35Speaker 2: of the other car to get in and scoot over
- 5:36Speaker 2: to the passenger side. There was no gear shift in
- 5:39Speaker 2: the middle, just the cup holder thingy to scoot over.
- 5:42Speaker 2: But like I said, I was feeling petty and annoyed.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I feel you, brother. So instead of reversing, I parked,
- 5:49Speaker 2: went inside for 30 minutes. When I got out, two
- 5:56Speaker 2: women were standing with a security guard next to my
- 5:58Speaker 2: car looking pissed. One woman asked if I was the
- 6:02Speaker 2: car parked next to her. I said, yes. I hope
- 6:05Speaker 2: he said it that way. I really do. She started
- 6:08Speaker 2: to yell at me and ask why I would do
- 6:10Speaker 2: that to her. She kept repeating, you don't do this
- 6:14Speaker 2: to people. Hmm. I reiterated that she, in fact, did
- 6:20Speaker 2: not park correctly, and she also had the option of
- 6:22Speaker 2: getting in the passenger side. She said she couldn't because
- 6:26Speaker 2: she had knee surgery. I, in my anger, replied, I
- 6:31Speaker 2: don't care about your knee. If you're done being a twat,
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'd be happy to move my car and let you in. Trey,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I feel like we found your English cousin.
- 6:46Speaker 1: He didn't drop the C word, so I'll go second cousin.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Maybe once or twice removed. She went quiet. I pulled
- 6:58Speaker 2: out and left while she glared at me. The other
- 7:01Speaker 2: woman and the security guard didn't say a word throughout
- 7:03Speaker 2: the entire interaction. Now the more I think about it,
- 7:06Speaker 2: the worse I feel. I'm normally not so bold and petty,
- 7:10Speaker 2: so I'm not sure if what I did warrants the
- 7:13Speaker 2: response she had as if I had caused her harm
- 7:16Speaker 2: in some way. Am I in the wrong for parking
- 7:19Speaker 2: where I did? No, absolutely not. The irony is thicker
- 7:26Speaker 2: than peanut butter in this story, where she says, how
- 7:29Speaker 2: could you do this to people parking so close to
- 7:32Speaker 2: their door? I appreciate him calling her a twat in
- 7:37Speaker 2: that moment, and that's where it really needs to be
- 7:39Speaker 2: thrust upon her very, very dramatically. That She's the one
- 7:45Speaker 2: that is inflicting her will upon others, not giving a
- 7:49Speaker 2: damn how it affects. So at the end of the day,
- 7:53Speaker 2: she got a taste of her own medicine and didn't
- 7:55Speaker 2: like the flavor.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Now, this is where it does get nuanced. Did she
- 8:04Speaker 1: park that way because someone else had parked that way?
- 8:10Speaker 2: This is true.
- 8:12Speaker 1: This is where it has saved many a car and many...
- 8:17Speaker 1: Because we've all seen this and been in this situation.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And if I know the person who pulled in there
- 8:24Speaker 1: did it on their own, yeah, I would do the
- 8:26Speaker 1: exact same thing. Don't care. And I would take pictures.
- 8:34Speaker 1: So if I came out and my car was damaged,
- 8:35Speaker 1: I would know exactly who to come after.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 1: That being said... if you run the risk that they
- 8:45Speaker 1: were just responding because another selfish twat actually, you know,
- 8:48Speaker 1: parked badly, then you are the a-hole.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You are doing the thing that I do, which is
- 8:56Speaker 2: considering all the possibilities before I decide on my course
- 9:01Speaker 2: of action, right? So I had this exact problem in
- 9:06Speaker 2: the apartment that my wife and I lived in in Uptown.
- 9:10Speaker 2: When we were basically neighbors years ago, Trey, And we
- 9:13Speaker 2: lived in that little condo off of Travis Street near
- 9:16Speaker 2: Uptown in Dallas. It had an underground garage and we
- 9:21Speaker 2: had an assigned parking space.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:24Speaker 2: When you're looking at the parking spaces, our spot was
- 9:28Speaker 2: right here in front of you. And then there was
- 9:30Speaker 2: a bunch of open spots to the right. The spot
- 9:34Speaker 2: directly to our left had a support column on the
- 9:38Speaker 2: driver's side of the parking spot. Because of that, the
- 9:43Speaker 2: person that was assigned that spot would typically pull into
- 9:46Speaker 2: that parking spot and a lot of times be hanging
- 9:49Speaker 2: over into our parking space to the right. They're double parked.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But I know they were a twat because no one
- 9:58Speaker 2: was blocking them.
- 9:59Speaker 1: No one was following.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Them over. It's just because they wanted more room to
- 10:02Speaker 2: get out of their car because of the support column
- 10:04Speaker 2: next to them. So in that case, I knew exactly
- 10:07Speaker 2: they were being dicks and not giving a damn about
- 10:11Speaker 2: anyone else down the line. So we got into a
- 10:14Speaker 2: lovely note war. Um, But you're right. When you're in
- 10:18Speaker 2: a public parking lot type situation, you don't know if
- 10:20Speaker 2: someone else did it before, and you have to consider that.
- 10:23Speaker 2: The other possibility you have to consider, and this is
- 10:26Speaker 2: a big one to me, which is, do you feel...
- 10:31Speaker 2: Is their infraction so egregious that you do something, therefore
- 10:35Speaker 2: jeopardizing your car? Because if you do that, you need
- 10:43Speaker 2: to consider the possibility that they may F up your car.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So the other thing you need to consider when you're
- 10:50Speaker 2: in this situation is, who's got the nicer car? If
- 10:56Speaker 2: they're driving an 88 Oldsmobile, you let them do whatever
- 11:00Speaker 2: they want.
- 11:03Speaker 1: This is where the wisdom of Dalton comes into play.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Dalton as in?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Roadhouse.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Amen, brother. Preach to me.
- 11:15Speaker 1: He had that nice Mercedes, but that's not what he drove.
- 11:18Speaker 1: He went and bought, bought the beater. And that's, there
- 11:22Speaker 1: are times I have often, you know, if you, if
- 11:25Speaker 1: I could go find an old like Cadillac or Lincoln,
- 11:29Speaker 1: you know, a big boat, I even put some tires
- 11:32Speaker 1: on the sides, just, you know, and I would wreak havoc.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Every day, every single day driving around town. It's like
- 11:44Speaker 2: fury effing road. You are Mad Max driving around and
- 11:48Speaker 2: you don't give a damn.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I would be the avenging angel of bad Parkers.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Trey, not all heroes wear capes, my friend. Some drive
- 12:05Speaker 2: around really old cars with V8s. Covered in dings and
- 12:10Speaker 2: dents and probably the occasional patch of hair in a tooth.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yep. Solid steel. Chances are you're not going to hurt it,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but you can give it a shot.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So I've been getting some weird stuff on my social
- 12:24Speaker 2: media algorithm lately. I showed some interest in some classic cars.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And by classic, I mean odd classic. I just happened
- 12:34Speaker 2: to see on an Explorer page, I was about to
- 12:37Speaker 2: search for something. And in the Explorer page, social media
- 12:41Speaker 2: got me. It was a video of a restored F-150
- 12:48Speaker 2: wide body from like the 80s or late 70s or
- 12:51Speaker 2: something pickup. And it was shiny and immaculate. It had
- 12:56Speaker 2: a lift on it and off-road tires. And man, it
- 12:59Speaker 2: just spoke to my testosterone-fueled soul. And because I showed
- 13:04Speaker 2: interest in that, now I get shown other accounts with
- 13:09Speaker 2: older vehicles. So yesterday... I got showed some account that
- 13:17Speaker 2: had a photo of a 96 station wagon. I can't
- 13:21Speaker 2: remember if it was a Buick or an Oldsmobile or
- 13:24Speaker 2: whatever it was. But it was a 1996 station wagon,
- 13:29Speaker 2: the last of its kind. It ceased production after this.
- 13:34Speaker 2: The wood grain down the side, one owner, only like
- 13:37Speaker 2: 30-something thousand miles on it for sale in Fort Worth.
- 13:43Speaker 2: For under $ 25, 000. And I thought, oh, my God. Can
- 13:48Speaker 2: you imagine driving that thing around town? One, because it's
- 13:52Speaker 2: not your typical classic. It's not like you're driving around
- 13:55Speaker 2: a 30s pickup. You're not driving around a 57 Vette.
- 14:00Speaker 2: It's a 96 station wagon with the full original wood
- 14:03Speaker 2: trim down the side. But it looked so clean. Anyway.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Not a chance. Yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 1: There is... I cannot think of any nostalgia I would
- 14:18Speaker 1: ever have for a station wagon.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I have positive memories from my family's station wagon as
- 14:27Speaker 2: a kid, but not so much to where I'd want
- 14:30Speaker 2: to own one. Ours was a green Pontiac station wagon.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Dark green, but the wood trimmed down the side. The
- 14:40Speaker 2: only reason I have positive memories of it is because
- 14:43Speaker 2: That was our road trip, you know, the family truckster
- 14:46Speaker 2: or whatever, like Clark Griswold would refer to. We'd fold
- 14:50Speaker 2: down the seats, and my sister and I had the
- 14:52Speaker 2: entire back to us. And that meant whenever they would
- 14:55Speaker 2: take a turn too hard, we'd roll around the back
- 14:57Speaker 2: because all the seats were folded down. But, I mean,
- 15:01Speaker 2: if I saw that somewhere on the tollway, I would
- 15:03Speaker 2: get out of its way because that car's out for blood.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And if they're parked like an a-hole, they're getting away
- 15:12Speaker 2: with it.
- 15:14Speaker 1: See, there's just nothing about a station wagon that's going
- 15:16Speaker 1: to strike fear into you. Sorry.
- 15:19Speaker 2: No, I mean like in this parking situation, if I
- 15:21Speaker 2: pull in with my Jeep and that car's taking up
- 15:25Speaker 2: two spots, they win.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Because they will F up my ride in a heartbeat
- 15:29Speaker 2: if I do anything.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Oh, if someone's driving a beater and they do that, yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you're getting into the wrong pissing contest there because they
- 15:38Speaker 1: don't give a F.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Mm-mm. Absolutely not. That's why you have to consider how
- 15:43Speaker 2: you approach these situations. So when someone's very obviously double
- 15:47Speaker 2: parked being an a-hole, you have to think about, okay, well,
- 15:50Speaker 2: if I do something, what could they possibly do? And
- 15:54Speaker 2: if they're driving around a Dalton beater, like you said,
- 15:57Speaker 2: then I'm not messing with them because they'll, they'll, they'll,
- 16:00Speaker 2: they'll F up my car and not think twice about it.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like, this is the other thing is really
- 16:06Speaker 1: become annoying to me. If you're driving around, especially in
- 16:15Speaker 1: a big F-250. Ooh, yeah. But even a nice F-150.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Silverado 2500. You know, if you're driving around a nice
- 16:29Speaker 1: pickup truck, especially if you're on the big diesel version.
- 16:36Speaker 1: And you take a bump like you're in a lowered... Mazda, Miata.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And you go over it like, you know, you're just
- 16:50Speaker 1: a pussy.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Stop. Just gingerly go over the two-inch speed bump.
- 16:58Speaker 1: If you are in a lifted four-wheel drive vehicle and
- 17:01Speaker 1: you are afraid of a speed bump, you really, why
- 17:05Speaker 1: do you have a lifted truck? Why do you have
- 17:07Speaker 1: a four-wheel drive truck?
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you didn't watch enough Bigfoot back in the day. Bigfoot,
- 17:14Speaker 2: the truck, never took a speed bump gingerly. It sped up.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Well, you've clearly, and I'll say this, this is probably
- 17:22Speaker 1: the case for 70% of people who drive four-wheel drive trucks.
- 17:26Speaker 1: They have never actually used the four-wheel drive.
- 17:31Speaker 2: No, I'm 100% with you. When you've got a vehicle
- 17:35Speaker 2: that is that jacked up and meant for off-road just kick-assery,
- 17:40Speaker 2: you're not using it for that. Yeah, most people. Because
- 17:45Speaker 2: it looks too nice.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and you can tell how they drive it. If
- 17:54Speaker 1: you're a farm ranch guy and you're driving around in
- 17:57Speaker 1: an F-250, you know that thing will run over a
- 18:00Speaker 1: small Miata.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Absolutely. The people equivalent to this... So it's like you
- 18:08Speaker 2: have that beautiful big jacked up truck, but it's shiny
- 18:12Speaker 2: and nice. You're not taking that thing out and doing
- 18:14Speaker 2: work with it. You're not taking that thing out to
- 18:16Speaker 2: the woods and going mudding or anything like that. The
- 18:19Speaker 2: people equivalent would be a bodybuilder in the gym versus
- 18:27Speaker 2: a wrestler. If they get into an altercation, you've got
- 18:31Speaker 2: your bodybuilder that looks the part because he's jacked up
- 18:34Speaker 2: and he's got his showy gym muscles. But then you
- 18:37Speaker 2: got a wrestler half his size with the cauliflower ears
- 18:41Speaker 2: that looks like he's seen some stuff. You know who
- 18:44Speaker 2: my money's on.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Oh. Take the... I don't even care if the wrestler's
- 18:52Speaker 1: half the size. That wrestler is going to, you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: have that guy twisted like a knot.
- 19:00Speaker 2: And he'll never get out because he's not flexible enough. No.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Do you remember in this... there was a time and
- 19:11Speaker 1: I was serious that Russ was like, you know, our
- 19:16Speaker 1: old radio boss, Russ Martin. And we had a promotions
- 19:19Speaker 1: director named Rob and Rob was a big roided out guy.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But Rob also got his ass kicked quite a bit.
- 19:29Speaker 1: He did.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Cause he was a roided out bodybuilder guy. He spent
- 19:33Speaker 2: so much time in the gym lifting weights. He never
- 19:35Speaker 2: bothered to learn how to fight. Well, here's the other thing.
- 19:40Speaker 1: When you're that roided up and muscled out, you don't,
- 19:44Speaker 1: there are physics to a punch. You don't have, dude
- 19:49Speaker 1: never stretched. So his range of motion to actually throw
- 19:54Speaker 1: a punch was very limited. And, you know, Russ was always, oh,
- 19:58Speaker 1: he'd knock you down. No, he wouldn't. Like, I can take...
- 20:03Speaker 1: I will take a punch from him.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Happily.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I would have rather taken a punch... from Rob, our
- 20:11Speaker 2: old producer, who was bodybuilder guy, then from big gay
- 20:15Speaker 2: Steven from the morning show on Hot 100.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Or Vedra. Do you feel restless and anxious? Feel like

- 21:09Speaker 2: on interior and exterior work, you will be entered to
- 21:13Speaker 2: win the Cooks Cowboys tickets. Yes. Be excited now before
- 21:17Speaker 2: we see how bad they may be to go see
- 21:20Speaker 2: them Thursday, October 8th, taking on Tampa Bay in Arlington,
- 21:24Speaker 2: courtesy of the Cooks. 833-COOK-DFW or the website cookdfw.com.
- 21:31Speaker 1: October 8th. So that's going to be the fifth game,
- 21:35Speaker 1: fourth or fifth game?
- 21:36Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that.
- 21:38Speaker 1: People are still deluded and have hope at that point.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Daniel was very smart. He didn't buy tickets
- 21:44Speaker 2: for a December game. The Cowboys don't even show up
- 21:50Speaker 2: for those games.
- 21:57Speaker 1: But yeah, by the fourth or fifth game, unless they
- 21:59Speaker 1: just start off horrifically, which typically is not their style.
- 22:04Speaker 1: They like to start off Start off with promise and
- 22:07Speaker 1: then just slowly erode.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Fizzle out like a good relationship does.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, the only... You know, it's sad, again. I can't...
- 22:21Speaker 1: I don't even really... I don't even know about the
- 22:25Speaker 1: NFC East. I'm sure the Redskins are still going to
- 22:28Speaker 1: be questionable.
- 22:30Speaker 2: That's not their name.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Sorry, the Commanders. The Giants... I doubt they're
- 22:37Speaker 1: going to be very good, even with probably a better
- 22:39Speaker 1: head coach. Eagles are going to be the Eagles. And
- 22:47Speaker 1: the Cowboys will still somehow be the Cowboys and not
- 22:51Speaker 1: be very good.
- 22:55Speaker 2: At least they're consistent.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, 30 years.
- 23:02Speaker 2: And we've had some stinkers in there of seasons, mainly
- 23:06Speaker 2: because of injury and extenuating circumstances. Because in those 30, well,
- 23:11Speaker 2: hang on. In the 30 years since the Cowboys have
- 23:14Speaker 2: done anything remarkable in the NFL, they had the lean
- 23:20Speaker 2: years post-Troy Aikman, where they were like, all right, there
- 23:24Speaker 2: was like a.
- 23:26Speaker 1: The Quincy Carter years?
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, the Quincy Carter years. but remember before we settled
- 23:30Speaker 2: on Quincy Carter, there was a few other, you know,
- 23:34Speaker 2: people that got thrown in there that were even worse. Um,
- 23:38Speaker 2: because you're, because after, you know, in the late nineties,
- 23:42Speaker 2: we still had Troikman there, but then that's when we
- 23:44Speaker 2: started getting into the, the random coach stuff, you know,
- 23:48Speaker 2: where we had Dave Campo, we had Chan Gailey. I'm
- 23:51Speaker 2: saying we, a bunch like I played, um, Parcells. Then
- 23:57Speaker 2: you get into Parcells and he settles on Quincy Carter.
- 24:02Speaker 2: And then eventually out of that, we got Tony Romo.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Once we got, you know, in the Parcells era and
- 24:09Speaker 2: he got established after a couple of years, then the
- 24:11Speaker 2: team started showing promise, doing well, but never really, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 2: nothing really happened, obviously.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I will still say the best team out of all
- 24:24Speaker 1: those years That the team, I really, going into the season,
- 24:30Speaker 1: I believe they had a chance, was the year, I
- 24:33Speaker 1: want to say it's 16, it's the year Romo got
- 24:35Speaker 1: hurt and then Dak took over.
- 24:37Speaker 2: To me, there are three years. There are three seasons
- 24:40Speaker 2: that the Cowboys, I genuinely thought, not just as a
- 24:44Speaker 2: Cowboys fan, this is our year, but genuinely, not just
- 24:47Speaker 2: the beginning of the year, but going through the entire
- 24:50Speaker 2: course of the season, there were three years they had
- 24:52Speaker 2: legitimate shot at the Super Bowl. 07? when they lost
- 24:58Speaker 2: in the divisional round to the Giants. That was the
- 25:01Speaker 2: game they ultimately probably should not have trailed, and people
- 25:05Speaker 2: blame Romo on that. But on, I think it was
- 25:07Speaker 2: a fourth down play, he hits Patrick Creighton right in
- 25:10Speaker 2: the hands. He catches it. It's a first down. The
- 25:13Speaker 2: drive continues. Instead, he drops it. Game over. The other
- 25:17Speaker 2: one was 14. The Dez caught it here. Two things
- 25:23Speaker 2: in that game. Two major things in that game. That
- 25:26Speaker 2: was a legitimate year that they had a shot to
- 25:28Speaker 2: win the Super Bowl. Obviously, if Dez caught it or not,
- 25:33Speaker 2: if that goes the other way, they win that game.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I think they go to the Super Bowl. The other
- 25:38Speaker 2: play in that game was if DeMarco Murray doesn't fumble,
- 25:42Speaker 2: there's a play in there where he fumbles and the
- 25:45Speaker 2: Cowboys lose the ball. If he doesn't fumble, he has
- 25:48Speaker 2: got open turf all the way to the end zone.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And the third season, real quick, was the same one
- 25:54Speaker 2: you're saying was Romo's last year when he got hurt.
- 25:57Speaker 2: That was the third one that I felt like, had
- 25:59Speaker 2: he not been hurt, that was an excellent team.
- 26:02Speaker 1: That was, to me, the most complete team they had had.
- 26:05Speaker 1: The thing about the 14th season that I kind of...
- 26:08Speaker 1: If I remember correctly, didn't Favre beat us on one
- 26:12Speaker 1: leg in that game? There was a playoff game where
- 26:19Speaker 1: Favre beats us and... There were a lot of excuses,
- 26:23Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, it's like he
- 26:24Speaker 1: was hobbling around on one leg, and they still won.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I think that was an Aaron Rodgers team.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I meant Aaron Rodgers, not Favre. Sorry. Yes. Yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that was one-legged Aaron Rodgers.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Okay, that's where I disagree with you on the 14 season,
- 26:39Speaker 1: because Favre was out there on one leg, still completing passes.
- 26:44Speaker 1: You know, even the Dez catch, it shouldn't have been
- 26:49Speaker 1: that close. Yeah.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you are right about that. I will say that
- 26:53Speaker 2: we don't know what would have happened in that 14 game,
- 26:55Speaker 2: but if the Dez actually catches it, if that stands,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and also especially if DeMarco Murray doesn't fumble, I would
- 27:05Speaker 2: love to see how that game plays out. Even, like
- 27:08Speaker 2: you said, even with a lights-out, one-legged Aaron Rodgers. See,
- 27:13Speaker 2: for those that don't know, we're actually really smart about sports.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But we're also smart about other stuff, unlike other folks.
- 27:20Speaker 2: All right, so this is the Treehouse Show. I'm Dan,
- 27:23Speaker 2: he's Trey. Today is Wednesday, September 9th, 2026. Celebrate today
- 27:29Speaker 2: with some birthdays.
- 27:35Speaker 1: All right. It's kind of a.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Weird birthday day, but we'll slog through this. It's actually
- 27:39Speaker 2: pretty good. We're going to start with David Steele. He
- 27:42Speaker 2: is 66. He is the songwriter and the bassist from
- 27:48Speaker 2: Fine Young Cannibals. Two important things about David Steele turning
- 27:52Speaker 2: 66 from the Fine Young Cannibals. Number one, very wise
- 27:56Speaker 2: on his part as a bassist to be a songwriter
- 27:59Speaker 2: because you are the most expendable member of a band
- 28:02Speaker 2: if you were the bassist. If you don't believe me,
- 28:04Speaker 2: ask Jason Newsted. So he managed to show his worth
- 28:10Speaker 2: to the band by being a songwriter. Smart on his part.
- 28:14Speaker 2: The second important thing for David Steele turning 66 as
- 28:18Speaker 2: a member of the Fine Young Cannibals is they gave
- 28:22Speaker 2: us an all-time banger, She Drives Me Crazy. And then
- 28:27Speaker 2: that song was paired up in a movie with Jennifer
- 28:31Speaker 2: Connelly where she rides a little coin-operated horse straight into
- 28:36Speaker 2: our hearts and our memories.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And our loins. Mm-hmm. Jennifer Connelly. Oh yeah.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Anyway, uh, David Steele, 66. And that is why we
- 28:53Speaker 2: do birthdays because we will find some stuff in there.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Even if it seems like just an innocuous guy turning 66, uh,
- 29:01Speaker 2: pink is 47. Good for her singer, songwriter, uh, and, uh,
- 29:06Speaker 2: someone that they wanted to try to turn into Britney
- 29:08Speaker 2: Spears and she wouldn't have it.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It's, it is so funny. It's, um, I was on YouTube,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and there's a famous video of her watching this girl
- 29:21Speaker 1: do a cover of What About Us? And the girl,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it's like Davina or something. She's remarkable. And even Pink's like,
- 29:32Speaker 1: she sings this better than I ever could. But, you know,
- 29:36Speaker 1: Pink's first song, and I can't even remember the name,
- 29:38Speaker 1: but she came off, she was kind of like the tough.
- 29:43Speaker 1: She was on a motorcycle. She's in leather, tough. Yeah,
- 29:45Speaker 1: she was not going to be Britney Spears, but she
- 29:47Speaker 1: had that hit. And then, yeah, she was kind of like,
- 29:51Speaker 1: F all of you, I'll do it my own way.
- 29:52Speaker 1: And God knows she's talented enough that she did.
- 29:56Speaker 2: That woman can sing. She was pop, but she was
- 30:01Speaker 2: like this sort of a pop punk ish hybrid, you know,
- 30:05Speaker 2: not like not so much punk music, but sort of
- 30:08Speaker 2: a punk attitude and voice was that style. Kind of
- 30:13Speaker 2: like what when Christina Aguilera, when they had her coming
- 30:17Speaker 2: up right behind Britney Spears and then they're alongside, they're
- 30:20Speaker 2: the pop princesses and then Pink is there. She was
- 30:23Speaker 2: sort of the alternate version of them. She was sort
- 30:26Speaker 2: of like the harder edge, the more rock style. And
- 30:28Speaker 2: then eventually Christina Aguilera tried to go that route a
- 30:31Speaker 2: little bit and somewhat successfully because that dirty video sure
- 30:34Speaker 2: was dirty at the time.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Well, this is the thing I'll always say about if
- 30:41Speaker 1: you ever want to understand why music is so weird.
- 30:45Speaker 1: You can go back and look at the talent in
- 30:47Speaker 1: the late 90s. Britney, Christina, Pink. Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, uh,
- 30:56Speaker 1: Jessica Simpson, uh, Brandy, Monica, all these things. Britney's the
- 31:00Speaker 1: worst singer out of all of them by far. Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 1: By leaps and bounds, but the biggest.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Star because, uh, Beyonce coming out of, you know, destiny's child.
- 31:12Speaker 1: That was a little Beyonce's a little bit after destiny's
- 31:15Speaker 1: child is late nineties, but then that's kind of a group.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I mean, I will never, never forget though. Uh, when
- 31:21Speaker 1: Wyclef Jean does the remix of no, no, no. And
- 31:23Speaker 1: it's their video and they're on like swings and you're like, Oh,
- 31:28Speaker 1: who is that? She's hot. And yeah, Beyonce, but of the,
- 31:35Speaker 1: of the, I'll call them the pop princesses of the,
- 31:37Speaker 1: of the nineties. Britney is by far and away the
- 31:41Speaker 1: biggest star and by far and away the least talented.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Vocally. She shouldn't be in the same stadium with those
- 31:48Speaker 2: other names that you mentioned. not even close. No, not yet.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Not even close. She, but she was hot and packet
- 31:58Speaker 1: just the right time that oops. I did it again.
- 32:02Speaker 1: School girl video. If that, if she doesn't do that video, we,
- 32:07Speaker 1: she is in a trailer in.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Louisiana forever and we will have never heard of her.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Oh, the only way you would have heard of her
- 32:15Speaker 1: is Mickey mouse club.
- 32:18Speaker 2: That's true. I do forget about the Mickey Mouse Club.
- 32:20Speaker 2: She would have been one of the sad Mickey Mouse
- 32:23Speaker 2: Club kid stories who still ended up in the trailer,
- 32:26Speaker 2: you know, next to a swamp. And if I remember
- 32:29Speaker 2: this correctly, Oops, I Did It Again, Britney Spears, would not,
- 32:36Speaker 2: I hope, get made today. Because if I remember right.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sorry. Oops, I Did It... No, was it
- 32:42Speaker 1: Hit Me Baby One More Time was her first hit? Yeah,
- 32:44Speaker 1: that was her score. Yeah.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Hit Me Baby One More Time, yeah. Or whichever one
- 32:48Speaker 2: it was. We know the one you're talking about. Yeah, yeah.
- 32:52Speaker 2: If I remember correctly, she wasn't even 16 when they
- 32:54Speaker 2: shot that. I don't think that even gets released today.
- 32:58Speaker 2: At least I hope not.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Oh, I think it does.
- 33:02Speaker 2: You think so?
- 33:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Schoolgirl outfit, dripping sexuality kind of thing. I feel like
- 33:06Speaker 2: today's climate, I feel like they'd be like, hey, that's
- 33:10Speaker 2: a little, you know, for someone underage. I mean, we
- 33:17Speaker 2: didn't care at the time because we were within a
- 33:19Speaker 2: few years of her age. We're like, that's on the table. Yeah.
- 33:24Speaker 2: But if you're 40, but if you're our age right now,
- 33:26Speaker 2: looking back at her, then it's just like, Ooh, that's,
- 33:30Speaker 2: that's like, that's, that's like my buddy's daughter.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe. I don't know that that's a tough one,
- 33:36Speaker 1: but for as big of a nut job as she
- 33:42Speaker 1: turned out to be, you know, that's, but again, and that's,
- 33:48Speaker 1: I have said this over and over because I've had,
- 33:52Speaker 1: especially running bars, people who come in and sing and
- 33:56Speaker 1: you're like, how do you not have a recording contract?
- 34:01Speaker 1: You are so good. But it's just the fickle nature
- 34:04Speaker 1: of the music business. Just because you're the most talented
- 34:07Speaker 1: does not mean you are going to be a star. Nope.
- 34:12Speaker 2: David Arquette is 55 from the Arquette family. We were
- 34:15Speaker 2: speaking yesterday about the Hollywood nepotism Um, uh, very strong, uh,
- 34:21Speaker 2: in its roots. And the Arquette family is one that's
- 34:25Speaker 2: been around for a long time. I mean, those, all
- 34:27Speaker 2: those siblings, you had David Arquette, Rosanna Arquette, Patricia, Patricia Arquette.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Thank you. Uh, all those siblings. I mean, uh, David Arquette,
- 34:36Speaker 2: best known as, uh, uh, the not Dudley do right.
- 34:40Speaker 2: But you know, the, the, whatever deputy and scream.
- 34:45Speaker 1: He was best known as Mr. Courtney Cox.
- 34:48Speaker 2: And not the WCW champion at one time. It's instead
- 34:52Speaker 2: it's Mr. Courtney Cox. His acting is questionable. Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I mean, his sisters, I generally think are pretty talented,
- 35:01Speaker 1: but yeah, I, I think he, he is a Nepo
- 35:05Speaker 1: baby who, uh, pulled at the time, one of the
- 35:09Speaker 1: hottest women in the world. Okay.
- 35:12Speaker 2: You mentioned Russ earlier and we don't typically talk about
- 35:14Speaker 2: Russ too much on the show because I mean, he's
- 35:16Speaker 2: been dead a long time and whatever. Um, But this
- 35:19Speaker 2: is this is an interesting tie in back to our
- 35:21Speaker 2: old radio show. So we had David Arquette on. We
- 35:26Speaker 2: were on the Eagle, you know, back when Russ was
- 35:30Speaker 2: still half cognizant. And they sort of had like this
- 35:36Speaker 2: brief friendship. And then, of course, Russ got drunk and
- 35:38Speaker 2: made it weird. And then he never heard from him again.
- 35:40Speaker 2: But David Arquette's current wife. Do you know who she is?
- 35:45Speaker 1: I do not.
- 35:46Speaker 2: It's Christina something. Do you remember back in the early
- 35:51Speaker 2: two thousands from the CW 33 across the street when
- 35:55Speaker 2: we were at live one Oh five, three, there was
- 35:57Speaker 2: an entertainment reporter that did a package on Russ. I
- 36:01Speaker 2: do remember that brunette girl young in her twenties.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. Now, now that I've pulled it up, I
- 36:09Speaker 1: know exactly who you're talking about. Yes.
- 36:12Speaker 2: That is David Arquette's wife. That's that was the full
- 36:15Speaker 2: circle involving, you know, Russ and the show. This Christina McLarty,
- 36:20Speaker 2: that was her name, Christina McLarty, who was working at
- 36:22Speaker 2: the CW 33 across the street from our radio station
- 36:25Speaker 2: at the time, did this package on Russ. Russ is,
- 36:28Speaker 2: of course, doing it because he wanted to get in
- 36:30Speaker 2: her pants. I don't think he ever did. Trey, you
- 36:33Speaker 2: would know better than I did in that little era.
- 36:36Speaker 2: And then down the line, she eventually moves to L.A.
- 36:40Speaker 2: She ends up married to David Arquette. David Arquette ends
- 36:43Speaker 2: up on the show in like the 20 teens. And
- 36:47Speaker 2: that was their little link. How's that for random?
- 36:54Speaker 1: It's random. And it's funny. Speaking of a quick Russ story,
- 36:59Speaker 1: we were talking yesterday about Russ and guests.
- 37:04Speaker 2: And ruining them.
- 37:05Speaker 1: One of the funnier times, and this is back when
- 37:09Speaker 1: we were on 105.3, and the midday show, Tonya Harding
- 37:15Speaker 1: was making the rounds as a boxer, if you remember.
- 37:20Speaker 2: That's right. Part of the celebrity boxing stuff that was
- 37:23Speaker 2: big at the time.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But, you know, she was actually trying to, like, act
- 37:26Speaker 1: like she was going to be a legitimate boxer. And.
- 37:32Speaker 1: One of the prerequisites, because they had offered her to us,
- 37:36Speaker 1: one of the prerequisites of the interview was she will
- 37:39Speaker 1: not talk about the Nancy Kerrigan issue. No. What's the point?
- 37:45Speaker 2: If you can't ask about the biggest thing, there's no
- 37:47Speaker 2: point in having you in the room.
- 37:49Speaker 1: And I was like, pass. And then Russ comes, sees
- 37:51Speaker 1: her on Pugs and Kelly, and he comes in, he's
- 37:54Speaker 1: screaming at me, why the F do it? And then... Inevitably,
- 37:59Speaker 1: they ask her about it, and she storms out of
- 38:01Speaker 1: the studio, and I go, that is why I said no.
- 38:05Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, okay. Yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Eat it, you big jerk.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 2: I don't know how many times you had to do that.
- 38:14Speaker 2: He would make some gross assumption and then come in
- 38:17Speaker 2: screaming and hollering and blah, blah, blah, and be like,
- 38:19Speaker 2: this is your fault.
- 38:21Speaker 1: What? What do you mean?
- 38:22Speaker 2: We said no because of A, B, and C, because
- 38:24Speaker 2: of the rules you laid out. Okay.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Rule number one is we don't negotiate. Yeah.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Brooke Burke is 55 as well. TV host, fitness personality.
- 38:41Speaker 1: You know, I haven't seen her in a couple of
- 38:43Speaker 1: years since she did it. She did a Skechers commercial, though,
- 38:45Speaker 1: not long ago and still look good.
- 38:48Speaker 2: The best Skechers have ever looked. Mm hmm. Kennedy is 54.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Former MTV VJ. She's a television radio personality. I think
- 38:57Speaker 2: now you can find her on the Fox News quite
- 38:59Speaker 2: a bit.
- 39:00Speaker 1: She's on Fox Business and Fox News. And interesting. She's
- 39:05Speaker 1: a very interesting person. I forgot what song. I think
- 39:10Speaker 1: it's a Goo Goo Dolls song that's based on her.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Really?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Ooh, I'll have to look that one up.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Something as... I don't know your name or whatever. Cause
- 39:22Speaker 1: no one, something about her. She seldom divulged her last name.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Just Kennedy. Sometimes one name's all you need.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Wiz Khalifa is 39. Martin Freeman is also 55. A
- 39:41Speaker 2: trio of 55-year-olds today. Martin Freeman from The Original Office,
- 39:46Speaker 2: from The Hobbit, from Sherlock. He was also CIA Agent
- 39:50Speaker 2: Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I couldn't do the
- 39:57Speaker 2: Hobbit movies. Not because I think they're good or bad
- 40:02Speaker 2: or anything, but I feel like I was so physically
- 40:06Speaker 2: tired after the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the
- 40:09Speaker 2: Return of the King movie, because I watched the director's
- 40:13Speaker 2: cut of that, which I think was like three days long.
- 40:16Speaker 2: And after that, I was so burned out on the
- 40:18Speaker 2: hobbitses that by the time the Hobbit movie started coming out,
- 40:22Speaker 2: I was like, I'm, I'm spent. I don't have the,
- 40:25Speaker 2: I don't have the energy for these right now. They
- 40:27Speaker 2: might be great. I have no idea.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I think I have mixed feelings about that. It was
- 40:37Speaker 1: not near the movie that the Lord of the Rings were.
- 40:39Speaker 1: The books were, the book is fantastic, but I think
- 40:41Speaker 1: they stretched it too much. I think you could have
- 40:45Speaker 1: done the Hobbit in one movie. the bigger bigger question
- 40:51Speaker 1: is so that you know they're coming out with a
- 40:56Speaker 1: another Lord of the Rings movie oh sweet Jesus and
- 41:02Speaker 1: it's it's before it's basically about Smeagol.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah I think this one's supposed to be like
- 41:12Speaker 2: actually it's going to star and then I think it's
- 41:14Speaker 2: also being directed By that guy. Peter Jackson? No, no, no, no, no.
- 41:21Speaker 2: The guy that actually plays Gollum. Oh, maybe. God, I
- 41:25Speaker 2: know his name. I'm brain farting. I sort of got
- 41:27Speaker 2: to know it.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But A, it's going to be because it's Ian McKellen
- 41:31Speaker 1: and like the cast is, some of the cast is returning,
- 41:34Speaker 1: but they're, it's before the Lord of the Rings and
- 41:37Speaker 1: they're all 25 years older.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 2: I have a hard time with certain prequel stuff. Andy Serkis.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Andy Serkis.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 2: I have a hard time with certain prequel stuff because
- 41:58Speaker 2: I already know the ending. Right. So like Game of Thrones,
- 42:03Speaker 2: when House of Dragon came out, I really had no
- 42:05Speaker 2: interest in it. And I don't know if I'm the
- 42:06Speaker 2: only one that thinks or feels this way. When House
- 42:11Speaker 2: of Dragon came out, I really didn't care because I
- 42:14Speaker 2: still know the ultimate ending, which to me means whatever
- 42:17Speaker 2: happens in this story doesn't really matter. It's not going
- 42:22Speaker 2: to change the ending that I already know, right? So
- 42:28Speaker 2: that doesn't typically interest me. I don't know if I'm
- 42:33Speaker 2: unique in that. It's just something, I mean, I think
- 42:36Speaker 2: House of Dragon has done fairly well. So I just,
- 42:39Speaker 2: I don't know. It just doesn't pull me in. Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Maybe I'm the weirdo there. A few more quick birthdays.
- 42:47Speaker 2: I don't know if you say it. Is it Gaten
- 42:50Speaker 2: or Gaten? Matazaro. Matarazzo.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I'm just butchering his name all over the place. Guy's
- 42:56Speaker 2: a bigger star than I'll ever dream to be. He's
- 42:59Speaker 2: the kid with the funny teeth in Stranger Things. Gaten Matarazzo.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Gaten Matarazzo is 24 today from Stranger Things. Very talented kid,
- 43:08Speaker 2: by the way. Very, very good actor. And finally, this
- 43:13Speaker 2: one's just going to make you feel old. From Home Improvement,
- 43:19Speaker 2: Jonathan Taylor Thomas is 45. 45. Ugh.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Never really watched Home Improvement, so it doesn't... Now, was
- 43:31Speaker 1: he the one that got in trouble with the law,
- 43:33Speaker 1: or is that the other one?
- 43:34Speaker 2: That was the older blonde kid, Zachary Taylor Ty four-name kid.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I mean.
- 43:42Speaker 1: At this point in my life, getting out of bed
- 43:43Speaker 1: makes me feel older, so birthdays really just.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Fair point. I know one... Wait, wait, I forgot. There's
- 43:51Speaker 2: one more birthday I was saving for last. This one
- 43:53Speaker 2: will get you out of bed. Heather Thomas is 69.
- 43:57Speaker 2: From the Fall Guy TV show in that blue bikini
- 44:01Speaker 2: opening up those saloon doors in the intro.
- 44:05Speaker 1: The times of the Heathers. Locklear and Thomas. Ooh, I
- 44:10Speaker 1: wonder how she looks.
- 44:12Speaker 2: It's not good, buddy.
- 44:14Speaker 1: It's not?
- 44:15Speaker 2: It's not good. Remember the Fall Guy movie with Emily
- 44:18Speaker 2: Blunt and Ryan Gosling? There was a credit scene where
- 44:25Speaker 2: Lee Majors, the original Fall Guy, and Heather Thomas make
- 44:28Speaker 2: an appearance at the very end of the movie. I
- 44:33Speaker 2: had to look it up to make sure it was
- 44:35Speaker 2: actually Heather Thomas because it did not look like her
- 44:37Speaker 2: because that lady had a lot of work done.
- 44:41Speaker 1: You know what? She looks okay. Have you seen Bridget Fonda?
- 44:52Speaker 2: I have not.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Let's go to break. We'll Google
- 44:58Speaker 1: that and then we'll come back with that.
- 44:59Speaker 2: That's a great tease.

- 45:33Speaker 2: so we went to that break. Trey said you need
- 45:35Speaker 2: to look up what Bridget Fonda looks like now. She
- 45:42Speaker 2: was in a remake of La Femme Nikita back in
- 45:44Speaker 2: the day, and she looked damn good.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I mean, from mid-90s to early 2000, she was phenomenal.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Great actress, and I have a thing for redheads, but
- 45:58Speaker 1: just gorgeous.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Okay, so I have not seen her in forever.
- 46:04Speaker 1: She left Hollywood to raise a family, have kids. No
- 46:07Speaker 1: one had really seen her, like very few public appearances,
- 46:11Speaker 1: but She recently made one because, yeah, well.
- 46:18Speaker 2: So I typed in Bridget Fonda now. I have not
- 46:21Speaker 2: seen it yet, so you're going to get my honest
- 46:23Speaker 2: first reaction. I haven't even had a chance to hit
- 46:25Speaker 2: images or anything, but we'll see what I get here.
- 46:29Speaker 1: No.
- 46:31Speaker 3: No.
- 46:33Speaker 2: That's not her.
- 46:35Speaker 1: You want to believe that. Then you look closely at
- 46:37Speaker 1: the facial features and you go, no, that is her.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Especially the nose.
- 46:41Speaker 2: It's her. No.
- 46:48Speaker 1: She looks like Henry. Actually, no, Henry aged better. No.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Oh, buddy, no.
- 47:03Speaker 1: It's hard to look at. And the reason picture is,
- 47:08Speaker 1: one of the reasons is because she's lost weight because
- 47:10Speaker 1: of like, I think she's on a GLP-1 or something.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I don't know if you'll be able to see this
- 47:16Speaker 2: very good from there, but how does that go to that?
- 47:22Speaker 1: I have looked and I... I mean, clearly, she did
- 47:31Speaker 1: not give an F.
- 47:33Speaker 2: You said she left Hollywood to have a family and
- 47:36Speaker 2: raise kids or to build a house and lure and
- 47:41Speaker 2: eat kids?
- 47:45Speaker 1: Clearly, you know, she fed her. I assume she fed
- 47:51Speaker 1: her kids, and she may have fed on them or
- 47:53Speaker 1: their friends. I don't know.
- 47:54Speaker 2: It also looks like she's been eating some demons. Look,
- 47:58Speaker 2: I'm not one to judge. I've had to weight battle
- 47:59Speaker 2: my entire life, but at the same time, I didn't
- 48:02Speaker 2: have the fond of name and resources that she's had.
- 48:06Speaker 2: You know what? As long as she's happy, that's all
- 48:08Speaker 2: that matters. Whether or not when I see her walking
- 48:12Speaker 2: down the street, if if I'm scared or, or titillated, that's,
- 48:17Speaker 2: that's really not her concern.
- 48:18Speaker 1: I mean, but that is one of her underrated roles.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I think underrated movie, maybe of the nineties, but doc Hollywood.
- 48:36Speaker 2: She was in doc Hollywood. Yeah.
- 48:38Speaker 1: She was the daughter of the mayor.
- 48:43Speaker 2: But she wasn't the main love interest that came out
- 48:45Speaker 2: of the lake. No.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Remember, she and Woody Harrelson go to Hollywood. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:52Speaker 2: That's right. It's been so long since I've seen that movie,
- 48:54Speaker 2: I'd forgotten her role in that. That's right.
- 48:57Speaker 1: It holds up. It's still a good movie.
- 48:59Speaker 2: That's one I want to go back and rewatch. That's
- 49:01Speaker 2: one of those movies I thought about randomly like a
- 49:02Speaker 2: few weeks ago where I remember back when it came out,
- 49:07Speaker 2: and I also remember, I can't remember the name of
- 49:09Speaker 2: the actress who played the love interest opposite Michael J.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Fox in Doc Hollywood. But we're talking about a movie
- 49:15Speaker 2: that's basically just, you know, it's a comedy, right? It's
- 49:19Speaker 2: not supposed to be this. hard R type of film.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Julie Warner.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Julie Warner. She makes a hell of an entrance in
- 49:27Speaker 2: this film because Doc Hollywood, he's lost. He goes down
- 49:30Speaker 2: to this lake or river and this beautiful woman comes
- 49:33Speaker 2: walking out of the water completely naked and it's full frontal.
- 49:38Speaker 2: I mean, that 90s Bush is out there. And I
- 49:42Speaker 2: remember it in the movie, and I even remember interviews
- 49:45Speaker 2: with her on Entertainment Tonight and stuff, going like, so
- 49:50Speaker 2: you went all out for this role, didn't you? And
- 49:54Speaker 2: even at the time I'm watching this movie, keep in mind,
- 49:57Speaker 2: I'm at the height of puberty, so I was all
- 49:59Speaker 2: about it. But even then, at the height of puberty,
- 50:03Speaker 2: I was like, this seems a little strong for this movie.
- 50:07Speaker 2: That doesn't really seem to be necessary, you know? And
- 50:11Speaker 2: now I look back on it and I was like,
- 50:12Speaker 2: that was extremely gratuitous. Don't get me wrong. Like 12,
- 50:16Speaker 2: 13 year old me loved it, but that was a.
- 50:19Speaker 1: PG 13 movie. I don't remember the full nudity.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Oh God, I do. I felt like a booger in
- 50:26Speaker 2: revenge of the nerds in the theater.
- 50:37Speaker 3: If you don't get that one too bad look it
