- 0:09Speaker 1: He's the bold reform it.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Tonight the Abaneza government plays the race card to defend
- 0:16Speaker 2: its budget. And please send the kids out of the
- 0:19Speaker 2: room because Paul and Hanson actually swears at the budget.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I'll talk to Bunnaby Joyce about that. Also tonight Britain's
- 0:24Speaker 2: Prime minister faces the second In half an hour, we
- 0:27Speaker 2: will cross to the budget reply of Angus Taylor to
- 0:29Speaker 2: see if he really will go in very hard to
- 0:32Speaker 2: save himself and the Liberals. After well, an absolutely shocking
- 0:38Speaker 2: new poll this afternoon. But first to something today that
- 0:43Speaker 2: could change our future far more than this brawl over
- 0:45Speaker 2: the budget. It was a big meeting in Beijing today
- 0:48Speaker 2: between the world's two most powerful leaders, US President Donald
- 0:52Speaker 2: Trump and China's dictator Jijingping. Now you may have already
- 0:58Speaker 2: seen lots of coverage of the red carpet treatment that
- 1:00Speaker 2: Trump got and the bunch of tech billionaires that he
- 1:04Speaker 2: brought with him, including Elon Musk. That makes some deals,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and let's going to be talk about what Trump really
- 1:09Speaker 2: wants from China, which includes more of the rare earth
- 1:12Speaker 2: minerals of the US desperately needs to replace the weaponry
- 1:16Speaker 2: it's lost in the war with Iran, plus it also
- 1:19Speaker 2: needs China's help to end that war by leaning on
- 1:22Speaker 2: China's Iranian ally to let shipping through the strait of
- 1:26Speaker 2: a muz So you know, Trump has gone to Beijing
- 1:30Speaker 2: in a position of relative weakness, and there are even
- 1:32Speaker 2: fears that he might sell out Taiwan to get China
- 1:36Speaker 2: on side. But tonight, I want to show you some
- 1:40Speaker 2: clues from today's meeting that confirm which of these two men,
- 1:44Speaker 2: Trump and g feel that they have the whip hand.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And the answer, I'm afraid is very disturbing. Let's go
- 1:52Speaker 2: to the two men's opening speeches. Before the media was
- 1:55Speaker 2: kicked out to be frank, Trump crawled Toji. He repeatedly
- 2:01Speaker 2: praised the dictator to the skies.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're a great leader. It's an honor to be with you.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It's an honor to be your friend.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And Trump sold this as a tremendous meeting of friends.
- 2:14Speaker 2: There are those that say this is maybe the biggest
- 2:16Speaker 2: summit ever and the relationship between China and the USA
- 2:20Speaker 2: is going to be better than ever before. But listen,
- 2:25Speaker 2: in contrast to g in his own opening remarks, this dictator,
- 2:30Speaker 2: leader of the world's biggest army, did not flatter Trump once,
- 2:35Speaker 2: didn't call them a great president, didn't say they were friends.
- 2:39Speaker 2: In fact, g clearly implied that Donald Trump was throwing
- 2:42Speaker 2: the world into chaos. And she used this personal code
- 2:46Speaker 2: words that is repeated.
- 2:47Speaker 1: For nine years.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I mean, there's this wonderful book about how she uses
- 2:52Speaker 2: this deliberate language.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Roustochi's The Long Game.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Brilliant work, these code words to yet again suggest, yes,
- 3:00Speaker 2: the US is declining and China rising and taking over
- 3:04Speaker 2: the world's greatest superpower. This is phrase, like I said,
- 3:07Speaker 2: used for nine years Berg. Change is not seen in
- 3:10Speaker 2: a century. Listen for that, and also for another phrase
- 3:13Speaker 2: at the end, The.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Whole world is watching our meeting. Currently, transformation not seen
- 3:19Speaker 3: in a century is accelerating across the globe, and the
- 3:23Speaker 3: international situation is fluid and turbulent. The world has come
- 3:27Speaker 3: to a new crossroads. Can China and the United States
- 3:32Speaker 3: overcome the Thucidity's trap and create a new paradigm of
- 3:38Speaker 3: major country relations.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Now you may be thinking, what does she mean by
- 3:44Speaker 2: the Thuciddy's trap. Well, that's been to mean a war
- 3:50Speaker 2: that is caused when the great power feels scared that
- 3:53Speaker 2: it's been overtaken by a new one like China. This
- 3:57Speaker 2: is she declaring the US is in decline and could
- 4:01Speaker 2: start a ward stop China, replacing it as the world's
- 4:03Speaker 2: greatest superpower.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But she went further.
- 4:06Speaker 2: He himself threatened Trump China's official state medias and its
- 4:11Speaker 2: foreign ministry. So the behind closed doors, G warned Trump
- 4:16Speaker 2: not to encourage Taiwan, the island democracy that China wants
- 4:19Speaker 2: to take over.
- 4:21Speaker 1: We're told that she told Trump they've.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Had it properly, their bilateral relationship will enjoy overall stability.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Otherwise the two countries, meaning China in the US, will
- 4:31Speaker 2: have clashes and even conflicts, putting the entire relationship in
- 4:38Speaker 2: great jeopardy, with G emphasizing that Taiwan independence and cross
- 4:42Speaker 2: straight peace there are as irreconcilable as fire and water.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So one man in this meeting of the.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Superpower leaders looked strong, the other looked like someone badly
- 4:56Speaker 2: needing a favor. And the bad news for US is
- 5:00Speaker 2: that it was the dictator who looked on top.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Now in half an outworld bit less.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Now obstigen leader in the state is going to give
- 5:12Speaker 2: a speech that could either sink or savi's leadership.
- 5:15Speaker 1: His reply to the Abzi.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Governments budget of lies and debt and dodgy figures. And
- 5:22Speaker 2: this speech is going to have to be huge, not
- 5:24Speaker 2: least because One Nation just smashed Taylor's Liberals and the
- 5:27Speaker 2: Pharaoh by election last weekend. This war actually a new
- 5:32Speaker 2: poll this afternoon spells crisis for the Liberals. The Morgan
- 5:37Speaker 2: Pole has One Nation even beating Labor now thirty two
- 5:42Speaker 2: percent to twenty eight and a half. This after the
- 5:44Speaker 2: budget thirty twenty and a half, and the coalition win
- 5:48Speaker 2: in just half the kind of support the One Nation's
- 5:51Speaker 2: getting and after preferences, one Nation is now only just
- 5:56Speaker 2: behind Labor forty nine fifty one in touching of government.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I mean, that's stunning if true. Let me just repeat,
- 6:04Speaker 2: if true. But Taylor's reply tonight is also critical because
- 6:10Speaker 2: I honestly, if he can't destroy Labor of a budget,
- 6:14Speaker 2: this dissigns and this strange.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You may as well pack up now. So it wasn't promising.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I think that Taylor this morning previewed his speech with
- 6:20Speaker 2: an announcement that future new permanent residence in Australia, new ones,
- 6:26Speaker 2: not people already here. They won't be able to claim
- 6:29Speaker 2: a whole lot of benefits. They still could get free healthcare,
- 6:33Speaker 2: he said, but they couldn't get the age pension, disability support,
- 6:36Speaker 2: job seeker youth allows and many more benefits that I'll
- 6:39Speaker 2: be reserved for Australian citizens.
- 6:42Speaker 4: We've got right now a government that he's slashing support
- 6:47Speaker 4: for private health insurance for older Australians and at the
- 6:51Speaker 4: same time dishing out billions and billions of dollars to
- 6:56Speaker 4: people in this country who are not citizens. For that's
- 7:01Speaker 4: not fair on hard working Australian citizens.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Some strains are going to like that. But it was
- 7:08Speaker 1: interested to.
- 7:09Speaker 2: See that everyone interviewed by Scarni's Crystal Woo in a
- 7:13Speaker 2: street Voxpop today thought oh, hello, this is a bit harsh.
- 7:17Speaker 2: When permanent citizens are taxpayers as well. Of course they should.
- 7:22Speaker 2: If they're in our country, we should be looking after them.
- 7:25Speaker 2: So it's a no brain.
- 7:28Speaker 5: I guess it depends on Whetherarli are a taxpayer or not.
- 7:31Speaker 5: If they're paying tax are probably it's fair.
- 7:34Speaker 6: I think everybody deserves a chance, to be honest with you, Yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 6: everybody in the world deserves a chance, doesn't matter where
- 7:38Speaker 6: they're from.
- 7:39Speaker 1: What I've been.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Through, I do support that once they become permanent residency.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Yes, like we we should be entitled or we should
- 7:48Speaker 5: all be entitled.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Seletely, it's completely unfair for those individuals not to get supported.
- 7:54Speaker 8: People can't afford to live. There's too many people coming.
- 7:57Speaker 8: You know, you can't go to the city. We have
- 8:00Speaker 8: a good Friday now because there's about fifty thousand people here,
- 8:03Speaker 8: which is fine. But that's just I don't know, and
- 8:05Speaker 8: that's my opinion personally.
- 8:08Speaker 2: A lot of sympathy for permanent residents then out there.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But other things that Taylor is expected to reveal tonight
- 8:15Speaker 2: should work better. Is it expected to explain, for instance,
- 8:17Speaker 2: how it's going to slash immigration not least to help
- 8:20Speaker 2: fund the housing crisis. Fewer immigrants needing homes actually has
- 8:25Speaker 2: to mean, doesn't it that first home bars will have
- 8:28Speaker 2: a better chance of getting home with their own now
- 8:31Speaker 2: Taylor is buying there an argument that has got to
- 8:34Speaker 2: be able to win, surely, because what I just said
- 8:38Speaker 2: that was obvious is not obvious today to the Alberizy
- 8:42Speaker 2: government's own housing minister.
- 8:44Speaker 7: The big issue we've got as a country at the
- 8:46Speaker 7: moment with housing is supply. Are we pretty disappointed if
- 8:49Speaker 7: we have to sit through half an hour this evening
- 8:52Speaker 7: of you know, Angus Taylor pointing the finger and blaming
- 8:55Speaker 7: migrant communities.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And see labor is it can't admit the truth that
- 9:01Speaker 2: immigration is very closely connected to the housing crisis because
- 9:05Speaker 2: it is desperate to screen racis that the Liberals and
- 9:09Speaker 2: once again stamped Indian and Muslim and Chinese voters especially
- 9:13Speaker 2: to vote against the Liberal Party his labor from Bencha,
- 9:16Speaker 2: Daniel and Melina today also playing race politics.
- 9:19Speaker 5: It's going to beyond dog whistling.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Frankly, it's now just straight out demonizing a significant group
- 9:24Speaker 6: in our community.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Let me show you now how idiotic those responses are.
- 9:29Speaker 2: By quoting from the governor's own budget, we're at boasts
- 9:32Speaker 2: that it is extending the ban and foreign purchases of
- 9:35Speaker 2: established dwellings by two years of three months, helping more astraands,
- 9:39Speaker 2: it says to buy homes that would otherwise be brought
- 9:42Speaker 2: by foreign investors. Will figure that out. This is the
- 9:44Speaker 2: government here admitting, oh this, we can actually help the
- 9:48Speaker 2: strands by homes for stopping foreigners buying here. So why
- 9:52Speaker 2: when it slash immigration numbers hard to give Australian home
- 9:56Speaker 2: buyers a better chance not just foreign bars, but also.
- 9:59Speaker 1: You know, just stopping immigrants from coming in.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Why is it instead punishing Australian investors driving them out
- 10:07Speaker 2: of the market them not new immigrants, by slashing the
- 10:12Speaker 2: fifty percent capital gain sex discount and also negative gearing
- 10:16Speaker 2: for his existing homes, which by the way, is exactly
- 10:19Speaker 2: what it promims fifty times not to do.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Now again this will be grandfathered. You know. That means
- 10:25Speaker 1: people you know using negative gear.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And now can keep claiming it. And these changes, of
- 10:30Speaker 2: course means the government has killed off a way for
- 10:33Speaker 2: young Australians to invest and make money, like so many
- 10:38Speaker 2: of Albany's's own ministers are doing right now and will
- 10:42Speaker 2: continue to do.
- 10:44Speaker 1: As the Coalition pointed out today.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Twenty out of twenty three of the Labor cabinets owns
- 10:51Speaker 6: more than two properties they can continue to negatively gear.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Why are younger Australians being denied these very same opportunities
- 10:59Speaker 6: the Prime Minister and his cabinet colleagues continue to benefit from.
- 11:03Speaker 9: The premise of the question was completely wrong as well,
- 11:07Speaker 9: because what I did was buy a house in Marrickville
- 11:12Speaker 9: and lived in it. And what I've done now because
- 11:16Speaker 9: I have publicly declared got married last November Jody and I.
- 11:24Speaker 9: I note that she has removed from the equation Jody
- 11:27Speaker 9: and I have chosen to buy a home for ourselves
- 11:32Speaker 9: down the track.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And that this is all crazy stuff.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I mean, the bunch of papers even say that scaring
- 11:40Speaker 2: off investors like this will actually leave us with fewer
- 11:43Speaker 2: houses around the next decade, around thirty five thousand fewer dwellings.
- 11:49Speaker 2: How does this help the housing crisis get fixed?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Anyway? Rich targets environment.
- 11:58Speaker 2: For Angus Taylor today, I have to say from tonight,
- 12:02Speaker 2: no wonder it's expected to explain how I was going
- 12:05Speaker 2: to cut immigration by linking the numbers coming into the
- 12:07Speaker 2: house as we actually build. If you don't build up houses,
- 12:10Speaker 2: fewer people will be let in. One Nation Leader paul
- 12:12Speaker 2: In Hansen today was ropeable about that.
- 12:15Speaker 5: I've been speaking about that for years. Is another one
- 12:17Speaker 5: of our policy. The difference is that Angus Taylor has
- 12:21Speaker 5: no vision for the future, and that's why he's picking
- 12:24Speaker 5: up One Nation's policies. I'm the only one that's been
- 12:27Speaker 5: speaking about vision for the future. I have been consistent
- 12:30Speaker 5: for the past thirty years.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Now, Given that you know Angus Stala will tonight. I
- 12:37Speaker 2: have to go further than that, obviously, and there is
- 12:40Speaker 2: talk that he might even offer voter as a permanent
- 12:42Speaker 2: tax cut by linking the tax skills to inflation, to
- 12:46Speaker 2: return bracket creek to taxpace year after year. But this
- 12:49Speaker 2: would mean the government giving up huge money, of course,
- 12:52Speaker 2: and where would that come from? Well, as you heard
- 12:55Speaker 2: last night, National's leader Mat Canavan was hinting and pointing
- 12:59Speaker 2: out the old obvious actually that if the Coalition scrapped
- 13:01Speaker 2: every single Netzier, a climate scam of this government, it
- 13:05Speaker 2: would save billions. Does Taylor, the former emissions reduction minister,
- 13:11Speaker 2: have the guts for that fight?
- 13:12Speaker 1: In twenty minutes time, we'll find out. This could be huge.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Now One Nation le upon the Hansen.
- 13:24Speaker 2: We'll be giving your own reply to the budget in
- 13:26Speaker 2: the Senate at perhaps the same time Taylor is giving his.
- 13:29Speaker 2: From what you were saying today, it could be fruity.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Labor talks about resilience. That's their budget is about. To me,
- 13:38Speaker 5: they've delivered a shit sandwich and we've now got to
- 13:41Speaker 5: eat it.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Pauline Language joining me is my Thursday regular commentator One
- 13:47Speaker 2: Nation MP Barnaby Joyce, the former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby,
- 13:50Speaker 2: be great to see you. So what is one nation
- 13:53Speaker 2: going to say tonight to write all Angus Taylor's speech?
- 13:58Speaker 1: Well, it's funny you start with it.
- 14:00Speaker 10: Andrew I actually gave a speech about the issues with
- 14:03Speaker 10: G and Trump. Just then we go back to the
- 14:06Speaker 10: Peloponnesian Wars. Was four point thirty one four O four
- 14:09Speaker 10: and that great Athenian general historian thucinities with the against
- 14:15Speaker 10: the Peloponnesian League. He was with the Dellian League. This
- 14:19Speaker 10: is really concerning G said that because he said he's
- 14:22Speaker 10: the power and ascendency and the United States the power
- 14:24Speaker 10: and decline, and we are in so much trouble. We
- 14:29Speaker 10: are in so much trouble and people don't get it.
- 14:32Speaker 10: We have to become as powerful as possible, as quickly
- 14:34Speaker 10: as possible.
- 14:35Speaker 1: And we're not doing it.
- 14:36Speaker 10: And so what Pauline will be speaking about is how
- 14:39Speaker 10: we make this nation stronger, how we prepare the Australian
- 14:43Speaker 10: people for the circumstances that are before it, not what
- 14:46Speaker 10: they may wish were before it. What Pauline will we
- 14:49Speaker 10: talk about is talking about is how we worked that
- 14:51Speaker 10: balance sheet in a better form to get the best outcome.
- 14:55Speaker 10: We don't believe in climate change policy. We don't believe
- 14:58Speaker 10: in the Climate change Department already there.
- 15:01Speaker 1: The Liberal Party.
- 15:02Speaker 10: Should, at the start of their speech tonight basically recommend
- 15:09Speaker 10: give note to one nation policies past, present and emerging,
- 15:14Speaker 10: because that's where they've gone for The immigration policy is
- 15:19Speaker 10: one nation's policy. Getting rid of the Climate Change Department
- 15:23Speaker 10: is one nation's policy, getting rid of the climate change
- 15:25Speaker 10: of legislation and making sure that we can get back
- 15:28Speaker 10: to cold fire power and make this nation stronger. So
- 15:30Speaker 10: the circumstances we see before us happening at play in
- 15:34Speaker 10: Beijing as we speak, that we are dealing with that.
- 15:38Speaker 10: This is why there's a dynamism about one nation has
- 15:42Speaker 10: reflected in the polling. Circumstances have changed before Australia and
- 15:46Speaker 10: around the world. And my nation does not go out
- 15:51Speaker 10: to try and make everybody our friend. We don't care
- 15:53Speaker 10: if you don't like it, so that's not an issue.
- 15:55Speaker 10: We care if we look after that place Australia and
- 16:00Speaker 10: what the Labor Party has shown us is disgraceful. I mean,
- 16:04Speaker 10: first of all, they lied. How you know you're supposed
- 16:07Speaker 10: to be the model person as a politician in regards
- 16:09Speaker 10: your recommendations to the people who vote for you, and
- 16:11Speaker 10: you can't just go out and just give blatant lies
- 16:14Speaker 10: straight out, straight to their face.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Lies.
- 16:17Speaker 10: It's not only in their negative gearing and the capital
- 16:19Speaker 10: gains tax, but in they're pricing of things such as.
- 16:21Speaker 1: The inland rail. Just a pack of lies.
- 16:24Speaker 10: And you're not allowed to call them lies. But I
- 16:27Speaker 10: don't know what the other word is for it.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I'm glad you drew the context the China America meeting
- 16:36Speaker 2: because they seemed to me very very clear that China
- 16:39Speaker 2: is feeling very now has America under its foot, and
- 16:44Speaker 2: that means for us in this region, we are increasingly
- 16:48Speaker 2: on our own and we cannot afford to be as
- 16:51Speaker 2: weak as we are and throwing away our natural advantages
- 16:55Speaker 2: like coal and uranium and gas.
- 16:58Speaker 1: We can't do any of that.
- 17:00Speaker 2: What are you going to do in your speech to
- 17:04Speaker 2: address exactly those points.
- 17:08Speaker 10: Well, we've all been working with Pauline today in regards
- 17:12Speaker 10: to One Nation speech which Pauline will deliver, and it's
- 17:15Speaker 10: really about precisely that if you look at Singapore with
- 17:19Speaker 10: no wel, no gas, no uranium, no coal, no balk side,
- 17:23Speaker 10: no gold, no cattle, no sheep, no no major rivers
- 17:26Speaker 10: an island off the Malaysian Peninsula and has a GDP
- 17:30Speaker 10: with six million people of quartered to the third size
- 17:33Speaker 10: of Australia and us with everything we've got, oil, gas, coal, uranium, beef,
- 17:38Speaker 10: under irrigation, everything we've got, we are struggling.
- 17:42Speaker 1: We are going backwards.
- 17:44Speaker 10: We have a debt that we can't control, and we
- 17:47Speaker 10: have got to harness that natural potential of Australia because
- 17:51Speaker 10: you have to work the assets on your balance sheet
- 17:53Speaker 10: to pay for your expenses on your p and L
- 17:56Speaker 10: very simple business rule that if you've been in business,
- 18:00Speaker 10: you understand. And we have to do it not just
- 18:02Speaker 10: for the betterment of our own people and to look
- 18:05Speaker 10: after them, but to defend this nation because the circumstances
- 18:08Speaker 10: that were before us are entirely different to the Australia
- 18:11Speaker 10: that lived with you know, from Roosevelt to Dwight Eisenhower
- 18:16Speaker 10: to John F. Kennedy to Reagan, it is a different
- 18:18Speaker 10: scenario and people have got to understand what's before them.
- 18:23Speaker 10: It is so so serious, it really is.
- 18:28Speaker 2: We've got to wake up from this sleepwalk through a
- 18:31Speaker 2: green fantasy where you don't need fossil fuels and you
- 18:35Speaker 2: can spend tomorrow's money today.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's mondal weak. But quickly before I go.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, yes, but quickly, we've run out of time.
- 18:46Speaker 2: But I need to ask you this, Roy Morgan Pole
- 18:51Speaker 2: saying that you are now several points ahead even of
- 18:55Speaker 2: labor and within touching distance of government. I don't believe
- 18:59Speaker 2: a bun. I don't believe it. I've got to be honest,
- 19:02Speaker 2: do you.
- 19:05Speaker 10: Well, I'll go back to the classics after talking about
- 19:08Speaker 10: the cidities. There is the great sin Hebres, and after
- 19:11Speaker 10: Hebris comes Nemesis. So I'm not going to.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Indulge in the sin of Hebris.
- 19:16Speaker 10: I'll let the Australian people make up their own mind
- 19:18Speaker 10: at the next election.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Well you know the advantages you've displayed tonight of a
- 19:25Speaker 2: good Catholic education. Wish that I had got that, not
- 19:28Speaker 2: gone through state schools. But there you go, Barnaby, thank
- 19:31Speaker 2: you so much, indeed for your time. Really appreciated. After
- 19:35Speaker 2: the break, Britain's Prime minister faces the sack as early
- 19:38Speaker 2: as today, just two years after a landslide win. Now yes,
- 19:48Speaker 2: the budget and Angus Taylor's response in a few minutes
- 19:51Speaker 2: they are important, but to repeat, the really big threat
- 19:54Speaker 2: to our future is across our borders, and it's not
- 19:57Speaker 2: just Trump's visits to China's dictator. This seems under line
- 20:00Speaker 2: the decline of the power of the West. I mean,
- 20:03Speaker 2: you just take Britain for instance. One sign of Britain's
- 20:07Speaker 2: decline is the utter weakness and incompetence in the green
- 20:10Speaker 2: craziness of its labor government, so bad that just two
- 20:14Speaker 2: years after a landslide, when British Promister Keiths Starmer now
- 20:17Speaker 2: faces calls for him to resign, calls now from some
- 20:21Speaker 2: of his own front benches, some of whom are resigning
- 20:24Speaker 2: to force him out.
- 20:25Speaker 1: One man pluged to replace.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Himself, Secretary West streeting of the party's rights such as
- 20:29Speaker 2: it is, there's talk that he will resign today too.
- 20:32Speaker 2: But Britain's tragedy is that the other most likely challengers,
- 20:36Speaker 2: more popular in the party, are even more to the
- 20:38Speaker 2: left of Kios Starmer. People like Andy Burnham, mayor of
- 20:41Speaker 2: Manchester even though he doesn't actually have a seat yet
- 20:43Speaker 2: in Parliament, and Angela rainerho has just been cleared of
- 20:46Speaker 2: tax cheating, are real socialists. And then this former leader,
- 20:50Speaker 2: Ed Milliband, State Secretary for Energy Security of such a
- 20:54Speaker 2: global warming extreamers, So can you believe he's just banned
- 20:57Speaker 2: Britain from opening any more oil and guest fields in
- 21:01Speaker 2: the North Sea. Join me from London is Jeemnu's super host,
- 21:05Speaker 2: Patrick Christis, Patrick, great to see you again.
- 21:07Speaker 1: What's happening and why.
- 21:10Speaker 11: Oh my gosh, roll up. There's a trapeze artist, a
- 21:13Speaker 11: lion tamers. Someone's about to be fired out of a canon.
- 21:16Speaker 11: Welcome to the Labor Party circus, Andrew. There are four
- 21:20Speaker 11: separate leadership challengers to our Prime minister today. The Health
- 21:24Speaker 11: Secretary he's set to resign today. That former deputy leader
- 21:27Speaker 11: sacked over a tax issue, now cleared over a tax issue.
- 21:30Speaker 11: The Red Queen, Angela Rayner. She's pulled herself out of
- 21:34Speaker 11: an ibetha nightclub and she's ready to enter number ten
- 21:37Speaker 11: Downing Street. Ed Milliban that net zero Zella hasn't bothered
- 21:41Speaker 11: to put solar panels on his own homes and to
- 21:43Speaker 11: be forced into buying an electric car has wrapped up
- 21:46Speaker 11: more air miles and you and our entire lives just
- 21:49Speaker 11: on trips of these green conferences that could be done
- 21:52Speaker 11: over zoom. He's now running. But the best one is this,
- 21:56Speaker 11: a former member of the Royal Marines who's in the
- 21:59Speaker 11: labor team. He's said that he's going to go for
- 22:02Speaker 11: it and we might need him because the Prime Minister
- 22:05Speaker 11: is not leaving Downing Street. He's refusing to go. He
- 22:08Speaker 11: says that he's going to fight every single leadership challenging.
- 22:11Speaker 11: You never know, we might have to bring the military in.
- 22:13Speaker 11: But I mean, look what's gone wrong everything. You know,
- 22:16Speaker 11: we elected a bloke who doesn't have Britain's best interests
- 22:19Speaker 11: at heart. He used to want to abolish the monarchy.
- 22:22Speaker 11: He wants to give away sovereign territory. We've had fifty
- 22:24Speaker 11: new tax rises or increases, twenty policy u turns. You know,
- 22:30Speaker 11: he appointed the world's at the friend of the world's
- 22:32Speaker 11: most notorious pedophiles be our US ambassador. No personality so
- 22:37Speaker 11: wooden that birds are nesting in him. And here we are,
- 22:40Speaker 11: we are now on Core Andrew for our sixth Prime
- 22:43Speaker 11: minister in about seven years in Great Britain. Absolutely fascical.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Start you make your sound, Fanny Patrick, but it's not.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It is just unbelievable, the disgrace. I've actually heard about
- 22:58Speaker 2: this for the first today this ex marine guy you mentioned.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I was told that he was sensible more to the
- 23:06Speaker 2: right and therefore had no chance in the labor Paddy,
- 23:09Speaker 2: and I just wonder, you know, will any of the
- 23:13Speaker 2: more likely candors actually have what it takes to save
- 23:17Speaker 2: Britain from its rapid decline.
- 23:21Speaker 11: Well, what's amazing is that this member of the Royal
- 23:23Speaker 11: Marine's called Al Khanes has served in every single major
- 23:26Speaker 11: conflict over the last two dozen years. Apparently. What's been
- 23:30Speaker 11: remarkable is that our current Prime Minister doesn't try to
- 23:32Speaker 11: prosecute him, because he's got a truck record of actually
- 23:34Speaker 11: trying to put a member of the military behind bars
- 23:37Speaker 11: or what they've done behind enemy lines. So it's amazing
- 23:39Speaker 11: that he's still out and about. But I mean, look,
- 23:41Speaker 11: he's a bit of an unknown, which I think could
- 23:43Speaker 11: be a good thing in a way, and he's a
- 23:45Speaker 11: bit more sensible. I think someone buy and large has
- 23:47Speaker 11: been around serving Queen as it was then and country
- 23:50Speaker 11: all over the world in war zones, is probably a
- 23:52Speaker 11: little bit more sensible than the rabid pro palestinetitude and
- 23:55Speaker 11: politicians that we seem to be churning out these days.
- 23:57Speaker 11: So I'd be more inclined to go for him. Look,
- 24:00Speaker 11: I mean watch this space seriously. Any minute now in Britain,
- 24:03Speaker 11: any minute now, we are set to get the resignation
- 24:06Speaker 11: of the Health secretary. The former Deputy Leader is probably
- 24:09Speaker 11: going to stand, the Energy Secretary's probably going to stand.
- 24:11Speaker 11: You know, two out of those three would have to
- 24:13Speaker 11: resign from cabinet. The whole government would come crashing down.
- 24:16Speaker 2: It is.
- 24:17Speaker 11: It is absolutely astonishing. And what they're doing right now
- 24:20Speaker 11: is they're celebrating Andrew. They are literally this morning celebrating
- 24:23Speaker 11: zero point six percent economic growth saying, oh, it's an
- 24:27Speaker 11: amazing thing. Look at how we're doing compared to France.
- 24:30Speaker 11: So it's like two bald men fighting over a comb this.
- 24:33Speaker 11: I think France has got economic growth about zero point
- 24:36Speaker 11: four percent. We are stagnant. It needs something bold, brave, big,
- 24:40Speaker 11: you know, we're not really getting that at the moment.
- 24:43Speaker 11: And we had those farcical scenes yesterday of the King,
- 24:45Speaker 11: our dear King is recovering from cancer, being dragged into
- 24:49Speaker 11: the House of Lords into the House of Parliament to
- 24:51Speaker 11: deliver the King's Speech, which is supposed to be the
- 24:55Speaker 11: Prime Minister's legislative agenda for the year ahead. The Prime
- 24:59Speaker 11: Minister won't be IMpower. We're in a couple of days' time.
- 25:01Speaker 11: Probably it's a complete fast this whole thing that's going.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Patrick.
- 25:07Speaker 2: We're getting told that, you know, at least we're not
- 25:10Speaker 2: as bad as Britain and France, so I can imagine
- 25:12Speaker 2: how it is. Several people fighting, both people fighting over
- 25:17Speaker 2: that code. Patrick Christie is thank you so much for
- 25:19Speaker 2: your time, really appreciated.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Now, in a few seconds we're going to.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Cross thro Angus Taylor, the opposition leader, giving his official
- 25:25Speaker 2: reply to Tuesday's budget, and I can't remember the last
- 25:30Speaker 2: time a budget reply was so significant. I mean, Taylor's future,
- 25:33Speaker 2: even the liberals future. They hang on this. Will we
- 25:37Speaker 2: now learn what the Liberals stand for? Are they going
- 25:40Speaker 2: to be a one nation light and chase those lost voters,
- 25:43Speaker 2: or will the Liberals go back to their basics freedom,
- 25:46Speaker 2: small government, low taxes, and national pride. But really, it's
- 25:52Speaker 2: not just the future of the Liberals we're talking about,
- 25:53Speaker 2: is it. It's the future of this country that's getting poorer,
- 25:57Speaker 2: the squandering our luck, that's becoming so divided. I tell you,
- 26:03Speaker 2: this is Taylor's moment to prove his critics, critics like me,
- 26:06Speaker 2: prove them wrong. And show that he is the man
- 26:09Speaker 2: with the plan to save his country. Can he do it?
- 26:14Speaker 2: It's going to be up to him to prove us.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Here we are in about to go live now to
- 26:20Speaker 2: Canberra where Angus Taylor will be delivering his budget reply.
- 26:25Speaker 2: The nation hangs on his every word. Let us hear
- 26:27Speaker 2: what he has to say.
