Transcript
- 0:00Hello there, it's time for most things Kenobi.
- 0:03Shouldn't it be all things Kenobi?
- 0:19Hi everyone, Welcome to another episode of Most Things Kenobi, a
- 0:22podcast about Obi Wan Kenobi and all things Star Wars.
- 0:25I'm your host, Leanne, and I'm your host, Lauren.
- 0:30And this week is Part 2. It's the follow up episode to
- 0:34Doo who captured, which we did last week.
- 0:39This is even more ridiculous and it's titled The Gunk in General.
- 0:43And this is only a two episode arc as opposed to the usual 3,
- 0:47but that's OK because that's all this one needs.
- 0:50Yeah. Seriously.
- 0:51God, we couldn't handle another episode.
- 0:53I mean, how many more situations can they be in that are?
- 0:58Embarrassing for all of them. Seriously.
- 1:03Oh my Lord. I love I love this episode.
- 1:07You know it's bad when it has the word Gungan in the title,
- 1:11because Jar Jar adds a whole other they Not only are these
- 1:16two episodes absurd in a good way, they layer it up by adding
- 1:21Jar Jar to it. Which I know.
- 1:25No good can come from the man. Can't even.
- 1:28He can't even get in a fucking seat without help.
- 1:31He's he's really struggling I feel.
- 1:33Bad for his character because every person can do something
- 1:38right? And I know Jar Jar's like that,
- 1:42that the unlikely hero, he's the one that falls into good luck
- 1:49and good happenstance, right? But.
- 1:53He's a capable individual. I believe he is.
- 1:58Somehow, whatever he does ends up working out, except for
- 2:03Senator Karis. Well, not a kid show.
- 2:07They literally sacrifice an entire senator to like see this
- 2:12through in this episode. Like it's, so it's just.
- 2:17It's so sad. It's so useless.
- 2:19It's so like. I have one out for Senator Karis
- 2:24because we hardly knew Yi. Literally.
- 2:31We hardly knew Yi. Seriously.
- 2:35What we know is that he's done a ransom run before and ended up
- 2:39in a dungeon for a month, apparently with no explanation.
- 2:43Can I ask why the Republic has Spice just chilling, ready to be
- 2:49ransomed off? I know well, I assume the spice
- 2:55minds of Kessel are part of the Republic before they become part
- 2:59of the Empire. Well, I just find it very
- 3:02convenient. They got a bunch of drugs laying
- 3:03around. Well, yeah, there's a dark side
- 3:06to everything, right? It's just.
- 3:08I mean, it does come in handy until Senator Karis dies.
- 3:13I know, I love that. That I love that they have spice
- 3:15in Star Wars. Like it.
- 3:16Like it's Coke or something. Yeah, totally.
- 3:19Totally. And Hondo's all about it.
- 3:21Like him and his dudes, they literally turn on each other
- 3:24because they want it so bad. I know they are willing to kill
- 3:30for that spice. Yeah, well.
- 3:34Speaking of which, this whole episode starts off with a giant
- 3:37question mark that I figured we would address, which is.
- 3:40At the end of Dooku captured that we covered last week that
- 3:44literally the final scene is Anakin and Obi Wan switching
- 3:47their drinks with the other pirates to ensure that they're
- 3:50not drugged. Yes, and we see confirmation of
- 3:54them not being drugged because the other two pass out and
- 3:57they've remained as right. Had to go.
- 4:00Lucky as ever, right? And then this episode starts and
- 4:04they are in a cell. Somehow they were drugged.
- 4:09Yeah, tied together. And there's even the line where
- 4:14Anakin says I only took a sip and Obi Wan says we were
- 4:17drugged, obviously, but they don't remember it, Yeah, and
- 4:21they were trying to take precaution for it.
- 4:23And everyone I know has a question about this, like what?
- 4:26What the hell happened there? It's answered.
- 4:30It's answered on the Wikipedia. It says after Obi Wan and Anakin
- 4:35wake up after being drugged. Everyone wants to know why.
- 4:38It turns out the show originally had web comics posted to the
- 4:43official Star Wars website, which tied into the various
- 4:45episodes. And guess who ended up drugging
- 4:48them And everyone else Pills, Muk Muk, the Kowakian Monkey
- 4:54Lizard of Hondo. He ended up gassing the entire
- 4:57room and that's how they ended up in a cell with Dooku.
- 5:01It was worth knocking everybody out just to catch 2 Jedi I.
- 5:06Just love. The mischievous like, first of
- 5:09all, obviously there's a gas line somewhere.
- 5:14Or he just threw a gas bomb into the room.
- 5:16Who knows? Or.
- 5:16He just threw one in. But it's the fucking monkey
- 5:20that's doing it. The little Rascal.
- 5:24I love that so much. Oh, pilf.
- 5:28Is that The one is pilf muck, muck.
- 5:30The one played by Matt Lancer. Oh, this one is PILF is voiced
- 5:36by D Bradley Baker. OK, so it's the other one.
- 5:39What? Whatever that one was.
- 5:41His brother, his. Brother Pick pick, moo moo,
- 5:46muck, muck, and pilf muck. I can't.
- 5:53So Pilf has a brother named Pick.
- 5:56Not sure if that's Matlanter. It is OK.
- 5:59That is that's Matlanter. OK, he's.
- 6:01The yellowish one. He's cute.
- 6:04Oh yeah, with the blue, yellow. And yes, yeah.
- 6:07And PILF is reddish, greenish looking.
- 6:10Yes, yes, very ordinary looking. I.
- 6:14Honestly, I really want all of them.
- 6:16I already have salacious, obviously, but we need PILF and
- 6:19pick to kind of flank. Salacious in the middle.
- 6:24It would be a great like 3 tiered Coakian system.
- 6:30I don't even know what I'm talking about, and I love it.
- 6:33Well, at least now we understand what the hell happened.
- 6:35Because for years, I mean, since what, 2008, we've all been
- 6:39wondering because a lot of people didn't watch the show.
- 6:43Like, I didn't see it when it first came out.
- 6:46I watched it on Netflix years later.
- 6:48So I was always like, what the hell happened there, right?
- 6:52Well, I I just love that Obi Wan's like, well, we were
- 6:54drugged. Obviously.
- 6:55Obviously. How obvious with with gas?
- 7:00Yeah, yeah, you were. Yeah.
- 7:03And anyway, that starts the whole litany of nonsense between
- 7:10those three. So here we have a Sith Lord
- 7:14attached to a Jedi Master extraordinaire.
- 7:21Attached to his annoying adolescent post Adolescent.
- 7:26What is it, like 20 at this point?
- 7:28Yeah, he's the one. It's ridiculous.
- 7:31Dooku cannot stand it. He's in agony this entire
- 7:36episode. Dooku shines in this episode
- 7:39because his voice is so irritated, like it's it's
- 7:43irritable anyway because it's low and it's got like that air
- 7:47of superiority we know about Dooku, but the fact that he's
- 7:50so? Walking annoyed at the other
- 7:54two. Insolence that he's tied to, you
- 7:57know, and they almost escape. They do pull together and they
- 8:01almost escape a few times. A few times.
- 8:04But successful? Never.
- 8:06No, no, until Duke, who's on his own.
- 8:09Then he just murders his way out and that's fine, but.
- 8:12Well, that's that's what separates him from rest.
- 8:18Even Anakin can barely keep it together.
- 8:20He's so annoyed. He's they're all on different
- 8:23levels of like, why are we here and why am I stuck to him?
- 8:27Except they're all pointing at each other.
- 8:29Yeah, it's like that. That Spider Man meme, Yes.
- 8:32So they're all in. It's him.
- 8:33You. No.
- 8:34You. You.
- 8:36Well, I had forgotten. I actually wrote a blog post
- 8:39about the cinematography of this episode like a long, long time
- 8:43ago. And it's one of the main things
- 8:46that I've referenced is how Obi Wan is always in the middle.
- 8:50It makes sense. He's physically in the middle,
- 8:53but he's also always the one in the middle between Anakin and
- 8:57Dooku. Like he's always positioned
- 8:58there and he's the one least bothered.
- 9:02So he's kind of, he does get to a point where he's really
- 9:05irritated, but for the most part, he's able to manage Anakin
- 9:12and he's able to, like deal with Dooku.
- 9:14So he's quite literally in the center.
- 9:16He's more balanced. He's the least emotional of all
- 9:20of them. He is.
- 9:22He does handle it quite well. He handles it with kind of like,
- 9:25well, if you can't beat him, join him kind of attitude.
- 9:27Yeah, he's kind of laughing through it a bit.
- 9:30I mean, he starts to get more serious by the end after they
- 9:33try to pole vault as a family. That whole thing is so
- 9:38ridiculous. It almost works.
- 9:42It almost works. But then Obi Wan after that,
- 9:44then he's like, we're going to look like fools.
- 9:46He's he's like, we need to get our shit together.
- 9:49Yeah, they're supposed to be the most powerful three that there
- 9:51is, and they're all tied to each other and they can't make it
- 9:54work. I love it.
- 9:56It's like if if Star Wars had a Big Brother house, you know, and
- 10:01they were all forced to be in the same room together and then
- 10:05they had like their monologues. Oh my God, I'm getting a whole
- 10:09idea now. I kind of would.
- 10:11That would be fun to write. Somebody should do it.
- 10:15We need we need to laugh. In this day and age.
- 10:18That would be great. Oh man.
- 10:21But then there's also like some great lighting to like really
- 10:23jump around it. Like at the end, once they do
- 10:29the pole vaulting thing and Obi Wan saves Juku back in the cell,
- 10:34there's this a shot where Anakin says I think it's time to lose
- 10:38the dead weight. And Dooku is in the center of
- 10:40the shot and his face is split with light and dark.
- 10:44And Anakin, when he says that, he turns into the shadow and
- 10:48then Obi Wan turns into the light and says like Anakin, like
- 10:52we can't do that. Yeah, it's just very deliberate
- 10:55coding there. I I think it's great that anyone
- 10:59would say that in front of Dooku, like no.
- 11:05He throws so many threats around too dooku, you know?
- 11:09Oh man, there's some classic ones in this episode.
- 11:12I mean, we've already discussed in the previous episodes the one
- 11:15comment about he would kill them both now, except that he'd have
- 11:18to drag their bodies. It's still one of my favorite
- 11:21lines in all Clone Wars. It's so well delivered that it's
- 11:26actually believable and laughable at the same time.
- 11:28Like you can sense the. How he detests being in the same
- 11:34area as them. Yeah, he's really doing his
- 11:38best, but you can tell he really hates this whole.
- 11:40Experience. He wants out.
- 11:42Yeah, Obi Wan can't laugh about it.
- 11:45I think Anakin is legitimately irritated but trying to, like,
- 11:49enjoy making fun of Dooku. But Dooku really hates it.
- 11:53You know what's wild to think about?
- 11:55We have we have episodes like this where we have these three
- 11:58right. And then we know what happens in
- 12:01Revenge of the Sith, and it's like, can't you laugh?
- 12:05About what? Can't we look back at the good
- 12:07times before I behead you? Yeah, when you're standing there
- 12:13with two lightsabers crossed in front of his head and a look of
- 12:16just pure fear and Duke, whose eyes can't get just look back
- 12:21and think about the old times. We once laughed together, We
- 12:25once. You know, we once joked around
- 12:28together. Doesn't it mean anything?
- 12:29I don't know. I'm waxing poetic about Dooku
- 12:33and Anakin, who literally hate each other.
- 12:36I think that's why even though this is a very light, funny
- 12:39episode, Anakin is cinematically coded, very dark the entire time
- 12:45and his back is often to the audience.
- 12:48And he's on the left side of the frame almost all the time, which
- 12:52indicates like a less balanced character.
- 12:56And it's because we have to believe it when he turns into
- 13:00Darth Vader. And all of that is subconscious
- 13:03communication to the audience. So you might not be like
- 13:07registering it consciously, but it makes it easier to understand
- 13:10why he starts to slip later because the whole show they code
- 13:14him this way is being a little bit off kilter and always kind
- 13:19of going against the grain. And that's why I love this show.
- 13:23Yeah, totally. And it becomes more evident
- 13:26going for further into the later season, he he shows it more.
- 13:30Obviously. It's kind of an undertone in the
- 13:33first season, but it gets you know when he's like literally
- 13:36forced choking people and stabbing people or threatening
- 13:39to stab or cut or behead or what Vader theme makes its way in
- 13:45more often? And yeah, I mean, in season one
- 13:48he's still drawing stick figures of people hugging I.
- 13:52Think that's? I love that.
- 13:54I love that. I know that was one of my
- 13:57favorite moments for Anakin ever.
- 14:00Is it bad that I kind of get why Anakin feels the way he does?
- 14:04They're literally chained to the guy that they're trying to
- 14:10destroy, unbeknownst. Who's pulling the strings of the
- 14:14whole thing behind the scenes, but sure.
- 14:17You know, they're this close, right?
- 14:19And they've been embarrassed by a bunch of pirates who caught
- 14:22him, and they couldn't. That's already been mentioned.
- 14:25And then they're in a cell with him.
- 14:27And I kind of get Anakin's anger.
- 14:30Like I wouldn't. I would be a little bit annoyed
- 14:33at. I'm trying to picture this from
- 14:34Anakin's personality, not my own.
- 14:37I'm not annoyed by Obi Wan ever. But if I was Anakin, I would be
- 14:41annoyed at his light heartedness, because this is the
- 14:44guy that they're trying to stop. And this is as close as they've
- 14:48ever been. And they can't.
- 14:49They still have to work together to get out together.
- 14:53Yeah. And it's like, why can't we just
- 14:55kill him? He's right here.
- 14:56Like, I get it. I don't agree with it, but I get
- 15:00it right, right like. Finish the mission he's so on.
- 15:05Character than when they're pole vaulting and Obi Wan saves Dooku
- 15:12and Anakin says drop Dooku. Yeah, I get it.
- 15:17It's so interesting though, because that's we get why Anakin
- 15:20is that way. And like, can we discuss Obi Wan
- 15:23saving Yuku? This is.
- 15:27This is the guy who was entangled with your old master
- 15:32who died. And like there's drama.
- 15:34There's all kinds of drama there.
- 15:35There's background, There's history.
- 15:38Not good, not good. But we don't question.
- 15:43Obi Wan, when he does it either, 'cause that's totally in
- 15:45character with who he is. He's just like he he doesn't
- 15:49like to waste life needlessly. He's not afraid to take life.
- 15:54We've seen that plenty of times. Not so much in Clone Wars, but
- 15:57definitely in Ewan McGregor's version of Obi Wan and Alec
- 16:02Guinness's. For that matter, no problem
- 16:04cutting arms off, No. Problem.
- 16:07But I don't think that he would want to look himself in the
- 16:13mirror after just having let Dooku fall to his death.
- 16:17I don't think he could have lived with himself that way.
- 16:19And it's instinct. You're not thinking in a moment
- 16:22like that, you're just reacting. Yeah, Anakin sees a solution to
- 16:26a problem, but Obi Wan knows the ramifications.
- 16:30If they were to just drop them, yeah, yes, it's an easy out.
- 16:33But he'd then have to explain to the council there is no trial
- 16:37which would be questioned. There'd be a lot of paperwork.
- 16:41I don't think he's thinking about this in this moment, but
- 16:43he knows, like, this is not the right way to go about it.
- 16:45There needs to be a trial. There needs to be.
- 16:47He has to stand, you know, and take take some kind of
- 16:53responsibility for the IT was never going to happen anyway
- 16:56because, you know, fucking Sidious, of course.
- 16:59But I get. I get it.
- 17:01But even like the moral question too, of if you allow yourself to
- 17:05do something like that, isn't that one step closer to the dark
- 17:09side? Of course we know Obi Wan.
- 17:12If it didn't turn with some of the other worst shit and it's
- 17:14like, it's definitely not gonna take a step towards the dark
- 17:17side just for Dooku over a bunch of pirates.
- 17:20No, no. The whole situation is so
- 17:22ridiculous. And meanwhile all of this is
- 17:25going on internally and externally.
- 17:28Fucking Hondo's own people are turning against him.
- 17:31A senator dies when they shoot a ship down, yeah.
- 17:35Jar Jar is the gung in general then.
- 17:39How safely saves everybody, or at least frees them enough that
- 17:45Dooku can peace out, get the hell out of there and go back to
- 17:49his his castle and take a long bubble bath and think about
- 17:53things. He had an extra long drink of
- 17:59wine that night. Yeah, son of a bitch.
- 18:02He appeased himself by murdering 3 people on the way out, so it's
- 18:07OK. What the character that kind of
- 18:10backstabs Hondo for the spice? Doesn't Dooku end up killing him
- 18:14anyway? Isn't he one of the people?
- 18:16Yes, He's the one that dooku, like, slowly chokes to death and
- 18:21makes that guy shoot the other one working with him.
- 18:24So he's, yeah. That's right.
- 18:26Yeah, it's He makes another person murder someone while he's
- 18:29murdering them. Like, it's just so crazy.
- 18:32I see. And the other guy he literally
- 18:34kills with his bare hands. He doesn't even use the foresaw,
- 18:37the first guy. This is how annoyed Dooku is
- 18:40being anywhere near Obi Wan and Anakin for an extended period of
- 18:44time. It had to come out somehow,
- 18:49exactly. Not a kid show.
- 18:52Oh my God, exactly. Yes.
- 18:54There's so many moments, even the at the beginning when
- 18:57Senator Karis dies, they show his like dead arm sticking up.
- 19:02That would have been enough. But no.
- 19:03Then they cut to his full dead body, crumpled in the corner.
- 19:06I was like, I didn't need to see that.
- 19:09That's heartbreaking. Yeah, it's it that's.
- 19:13Yeah. But you probably know this, this
- 19:17is AI love, this factoid that Senator Karis's staff, the head
- 19:22of his staff is the staff of RAW from Indiana Jones.
- 19:26Oh, they said they didn't put the little gem in there, but
- 19:30they were like, we did everything else.
- 19:31And it was very much on purpose. And I love that.
- 19:35I just adore that. And I saw a little tiny
- 19:38interview with Dave Filoni about it, and he was saying that
- 19:40they're not making a comment that somehow our universe is
- 19:44tied to the Star Wars universe. But he's like, there is
- 19:47hieroglyphics in Indiana Jones of R2D2 and 3PO.
- 19:52And he's like, so, you know, you could argue that there'd be a
- 19:55connection, but I'm not going to do that.
- 19:57So we honestly, I would love to do an episode where we do all
- 20:03the Indiana Jones Star Wars crossover stuff, because I think
- 20:06there's so many cool things. Yes, we should do that.
- 20:08That's a that's a good. That would be a good one.
- 20:10There's a lot. My God there.
- 20:12Are it's so cool. It's a nice touch.
- 20:15It is, and they can. Of course, they're all
- 20:17Lucasfilm, so they're allowed to do it.
- 20:20And I think there might even be some ET references too.
- 20:24Then we need to stay away. I we can't.
- 20:27We can't do no. I I won't do ET with you.
- 20:31I know. I can't.
- 20:32But for well, we could do Indiana Jones for sure.
- 20:35For anyone who doesn't know, this is the only time I'm
- 20:37mentioning it. I am deathly afraid of ET, the
- 20:43extraterrestrial from the 80s. I can't do it.
- 20:46I'm sorry. I've been afraid of him since I
- 20:48was three years old. I I can't look at him.
- 20:50If I look at him, I get instantly nauseous.
- 20:53It's really bad. So anyway, it's so sad.
- 20:56Yeah, I was traumatized as a child.
- 20:57I should have never watched it when I did.
- 20:59I was too young. Yeah, yeah, because it's
- 21:03actually pretty scary. If you're quite young, it's bad.
- 21:07It's honestly, it's disturbing even for adults because it's
- 21:10sad. I That's what I hear.
- 21:15We won't do that, I promise. We'll leave it be.
- 21:17Very good. I do want to talk about one of
- 21:20the little creatures that are in the episodes because they think
- 21:23they're cute. They're like tiny rhinoceroses.
- 21:26That are, oh, the beasties, the the scalder.
- 21:30They're they're tall. They're called scalders, which I
- 21:33guess is fitting because they're around the acid pools, the acid
- 21:38cavern things. And they do have I'm looking at
- 21:42a picture of one they look like I they're they're typical Star
- 21:49Wars. Like they look like a tick but
- 21:51it has rhinoceros, tusks or or I guess elephant, but it has like
- 21:57wrinkles. It has cute little feets.
- 22:00It has cute little eyes. I would totally ride one.
- 22:04I think they look really sweet. Their faces look really sweet.
- 22:07They're herbivore, so they're not going to, they're not going
- 22:09to hurt a soul, really. They were the ones that had the
- 22:13ability to sense when the geysers would go off and somehow
- 22:16Jar Jar was aware enough to like look around and.
- 22:20I know, shockingly observant for someone who can't stand up
- 22:25without falling down, it's true. But I actually think I want to
- 22:28give him some credit here because he does come from kind
- 22:32of a herd family, like a species.
- 22:36Yeah, Grant granted. Underwater, you know, a clan of
- 22:40sorts, so maybe he's more attuned to the natural life.
- 22:44I'm giving him a lot of credit here, but he seems to do well.
- 22:48I think that's true though. Yeah, the Gungans are known for
- 22:52being like the more nature base. They have technology, but it's
- 22:55like their own kind of technology.
- 22:56It's not like the bigger empire of quote UN quote, I don't know,
- 23:01Republic technology, whatever you want to call it.
- 23:03But yeah, I I definitely He saves the day, does all of this.
- 23:11Hondo catches A Sith Lord. Two Jedi are captured with the
- 23:16Sith Lord by a bunch of pirates and this guy saves the day.
- 23:24I again I just how does. It happen like Anakin can't let
- 23:30him have his moment either, because at the very end, Jar
- 23:34Jar's like, oh, you were in trouble.
- 23:35And Anakin's like, no, no, we we weren't in trouble.
- 23:39We were. We had it under control.
- 23:41I credit this to him knowing that Jar Jar will go back and
- 23:44report to Padme, and if Padme knows that they were in trouble,
- 23:47then she's going to be like the fuck you know.
- 23:50I sent you two out there because I thought you'd have this under
- 23:54control the whole time. They were just a mess, so.
- 23:57Being electrocuted. Yeah, Jar Jar saves the day
- 24:05something. But I guess he did.
- 24:10Don't you know? Senator Karis?
- 24:13Senator Karis? Whatever.
- 24:15At least he doesn't a service. I don't want to see it.
- 24:20He's he didn't do him a disservice.
- 24:21I don't know if he did him a service, but he at least
- 24:24finished the mission or what they were sent there to do.
- 24:27Yeah. And he tried to like, even
- 24:29though he was scared he would do something because he knew it was
- 24:32what Senator Karis would do. Yeah, so that was honorable.
- 24:36Senator Karis was voiced by Corey Burton, by the way, which
- 24:39I thought was, oh, I I had no idea.
- 24:42Nope. Countersu and Senator Karis are
- 24:46the same people. Well, I guess that's, I guess
- 24:49that's efficient if you're in the the recording room, you
- 24:52know. Yeah, seriously.
- 24:55So at the very end, when they're getting ready to leave, Obi Wan
- 24:59says let's leave uneven terms. And I think that's kind of the
- 25:02moment where Hondo falls in love with Obi Wan.
- 25:04Absolutely. He loves a good deal, even if
- 25:07it's UN unspoken, you know, leaving on good terms because he
- 25:12knows the damage that these Jedi can do.
- 25:15But Obi Wan's friendly enough to, you know, look, you didn't
- 25:19do anything. We didn't.
- 25:21None of this was intended. We're just going to see
- 25:23ourselves out. Yeah, we seek no revenge, but we
- 25:28know your monkey gasped everybody.
- 25:30It's fine. It's fine.
- 25:33He's a monkey and we'll get over it.
- 25:39Yeah, I think it's the moment that solidifies their friendship
- 25:41moving forward. Hondo is actually happy to see
- 25:44Obi Wan. Yeah, he every time from this
- 25:47moment forward, he gets a little pep in his step when he sees Obi
- 25:51Wan. You know, an unlikely
- 25:55friendship. I love those two.
- 25:59They're they're akin to the friendship that Obi Wan and
- 26:04Quinlan have on a on a level of like they tolerate each other,
- 26:08they know exactly who they are and they tolerate each other and
- 26:11everything's fine. Even though Obi Wan obviously
- 26:15has a much deeper back story with Quinlan Voss.
- 26:21Yeah, eventually, though eventually, though Obi Wan has a
- 26:25history with Hondo at the end of all of it.
- 26:29They do. It goes way back, yeah.
- 26:32Hondo will be friends with anyone as long as you don't take
- 26:36from him, you don't backstab him and you don't talk bad about
- 26:40him. That's, yeah, it's business.
- 26:43It's business. It's.
- 26:45Not personal, it's business. But also he might just kidnap
- 26:49you and ransom you, even if two friends.
- 26:51That too. It depends.
- 26:52It depends what can you do for him.
- 26:55I mean, he befriends Ezra down the line.
- 26:57Ezra was a kid, you know. Yeah, I was always wondering how
- 27:01sincere that was going to turn out to be because Ezra also
- 27:04became friends with Maul. Ezra gets kind of a sucker, does
- 27:12he? Also like he gets duped by a
- 27:14Lando too, I think. Also, oh, Lando's a part of it,
- 27:17yeah. In Rebels, Yes, yeah.
- 27:20Yeah, here's the thing about Ezra.
- 27:22I hope after all of his time spent on the Outer Rim, the the
- 27:27Outer, the the world, the other Galaxy with the Turtle people, I
- 27:31hope that he's learned a lesson or two about being duped.
- 27:40We'll see in Season 2, shall we? Fingers crossed.
- 27:43I have hope. I have hope.
- 27:45He's matured. He spent some time alone.
- 27:47I think he needed that. Everyone deserves some time
- 27:50alone. To to Soul Search.
- 27:54With Turtles, yeah, yeah. The three people that need time
- 28:02alone after this episode are Dooku in his bubble bath with
- 28:06his wine, Obi Wan, who goes back to a silent apartment and just
- 28:10stares at the wall, and Anakin, who probably went and just
- 28:16punched a hole in the wall after because he had.
- 28:19He had no way of taking it out on Dooku, so he had to take it
- 28:21out on somebody. Where's Clovis?
- 28:27We don't know Clovis yet, do we? I don't think so.
- 28:31I think it's coming up. Yeah, I don't think so yet.
- 28:33But yeah, he definitely just punched a hole in his wall and
- 28:36then covered it with his poster. That's it.
- 28:39Yeah. Oh, Obi Wan can't.
- 28:40So no one ever saw, and that's how you deal with being
- 28:47incarcerated with a Sith Lord. They should have all got
- 28:53matching tattoos afterwards. Of Hondo's face.
- 29:00Yeah, I guarantee you there's a tattoo artist in in Hondo's
- 29:03lair. Guaranteed.
- 29:05Oh yeah, for sure. I can totally see Obi Wan
- 29:09getting it on his hip. I feel like though if if you
- 29:12gotta say it to there, you would end up it would be like either
- 29:14backwards or like misspelled. Absolutely misspelled, which is
- 29:18how it should be after an episode like this.
- 29:26I love this idea. Disney, we're, we're here.
- 29:30If you need us, we're we're just right here.
- 29:32We're chilling. We're available.
- 29:33We've always got the ideas, yeah, all right.
- 29:44Our question for this mess of an arc that is truly delightful,
- 29:51what is your favorite? Tell us moment, Snarky sass line
- 29:57drop. Character Doesn't matter.
- 29:59There's a lot to pick from. Tell us your favorite thing from
- 30:01this two-part arc, and we will read it on next week's episode
- 30:06And next week's episode, we we just came up with it.
- 30:10In this episode, we're going to talk about the Indiana Jones
- 30:14connections with Star Wars and vice versa.
- 30:17And we're There's at least 20 things, right?
- 30:19There's at least 20 listed items.
- 30:23I think so, at least connect at least.
- 30:26So we're going to go through that list, talk about those
- 30:28moments and kind of discover them as we go.
- 30:32Because I can think of a few, but I can't think of 20 off the
- 30:34top of my head. So this is going to be good.
- 30:37Yeah, I can think of two off the top of my head, but I'll need to
- 30:39do some more research for the younger ones.
- 30:42Yeah, so join us next week we'll we'll be talking Indiana Jones
